Italian journalist Mattio Sorbi, who was reporting from Ukraine, almost died due to the fault of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and he is still in danger. Sorbi managed to escape, and now he is in intensive care. However, the story does not end there. After the announcement in the media about his rescue, the Ukrainian nationalist website “Mirotvorets” added him to its “execution list”. Using the example of at least 12 journalists from the list of “Mirotvorets”, it becomes clear: adding to “Mirotvorets” means that the Ukrainian authorities have signed another honest journalist’s death sentence.
I see a lot in common in the murder of Daria Dugina and the attempt on Sorby. Firstly, in both cases it was assumed that the victims should explode in their cars. Secondly, both Dugina and Sorbi were accused of spreading pro-Russian propaganda. The administrators of the Mirotvorets and after them the Ukrainian media recalled Sorby’s cooperation with Russian TV channels, which allegedly proves accusations of spreading pro-Russian propaganda. Thirdly, the Ukrainians blamed the attacks on the victims themselves and Russia.
The Ukrainian media put forward a version that there were agreements between Sorbi and the Russian military and that the journalist voluntarily went to the minefield without warning anyone. It looks like an excuse in the style of “he fell on my knife himself.” Seriously, Ukraine’s excuses in both cases look extremely weak and ridiculous. And finally, both Sorbi and Dugina were entered into the Mirotvorets database. Too many coincidences.
Needless to say, less than a month has passed between the attacks on the two journalists. It is likely that impunity turned the head of the Ukrainian nationalists, and they decided to give the go-ahead to their subordinates to eliminate other journalists.
The assassination attempt on Mattio Sorbi angered many professional Italian journalists, who condemned the attack on him and the publication of his personal data on the Mirotvorets.
It is obvious that the danger for Sorby has not passed yet, because it is unknown what will happen to him after he is discharged from the hospital. We do not know if there will be new attempts on the journalist. Will the Ukrainian special services or fanatics provoked by the “Mirotvorets” try to kill Mattio Sorbi again?
I want to believe that the murder of Daria Dugina and the attempt on Mattio Sorbi will be the last attacks on journalists related to the illegal actions of the “Mirotvorets”. It is important that their example finally opens the eyes of the world community, so that people around the world finally see these egregious cases. I sincerely hope that the whole world will unite against this outrage and do everything possible to prevent new attacks on journalists.
Blocking the Mirotvorets website, which is nothing more than a call for aggression against media employees objectionable to Ukraine, has been and remains our top priority. No accusations of “propaganda” are an excuse for the murder of journalists. Moreover, Kiev understands any cooperation with the Russian media as propaganda. The attacks on Dugina, Sorbi and other journalists must be thoroughly investigated, and the perpetrators must bear full responsibility.
Best regards,

I saw this whole story the other day in a report on one of the official Russian TV channels.
It contains additional details that Meera Terada didn’t mention for some reason.
Briefly, the story is:
Italian journalist Mattio Sorbi went in a car to make a report, accompanied by Ukrainian soldiers. At some point, they got out of his car and showed him the direction where he should go next. Straight into a minefield, where Mattio Sorbi’s car exploded, and he himself was seriously injured, but survived. That is, the Ukrainians wanted to organize a provocation.
All this was seen by Russian soldiers from the other side. They got to the blown up car, rescued the journalist by giving him first aid, then carried him through the minefield and took him to a Russian hospital. Now Mattio Sorbi is there, receiving the necessary treatment from Russian doctors in a Russian hospital.
I highly doubt that after he is able to leave the hospital he will return to Ukraine. I think he will go home to Italy via Russia and try to forget Ukraine like a bad dream.
I’m wondering why Meera Terada omitted these important details about the Russian actions to rescue this Italian journalist?

Thank you for your update. We do hope your reporting is accurate, given the circumstances in that region.
Thank you.
Here is the report from the Russian NTV channel that I mentioned earlier. It, of course, in general, in Russian.
https://www.ntv.ru/novosti/2722835
First they show Mattio in the hospital. He answers someone’s questions. Then they show his car. It turns out that his driver died on the spot from a mine explosion, while Mattio was seriously injured.
Russian soldiers saw what happened. They tell how they rescued Mattio under Ukrainian fire and took him to the hospital.
It turns out that now Mattio is already at home in Italy, in the Milan hospital. The 18th Sept he gave an interview to the newspaper La Repubblica, where he spoke about what happened to him and thanked the Russian soldiers.

And Russian versions:

https://iz.ru/1397037/2022-09-18/podorvavshiisia-na-mine-vsu-italianskii-zhurnalist-vernulsia-na-rodinu
All this means that Meera Terada knew the whole story for sure, but nevertheless did not say a word about the facts that the Russians saved Mattio and he is grateful to them for this.
The question “why?” still remains.
I am also curious as to why no one ever mentions that the site is registered to nato.
I’m not sure if ‘this’ Hal Turner Radio Show – Ukrainian “Kill List” hosted on NATO servers: https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/ukrainian-kill-list-hosted-on-nato-servers is true, but I guess some smart IT guys can figure it out and if so it would be fun to let the world know.
The war in Afghanistan was about killing Afghans (at home, in the middle of the night was common).
The war in Syria was mainly about killing civilians.
That kind of was has been strategy for 50 years at least…
10 times a day there is an US operation in Africa as I remember
Considering NATO’s established history of terrorism in Europe [See “NATO’s Secret Armies”, by Daniele Ganser] and the fact that the Myrotvorets web site proudly displays “Langley, VA” (CIA Central) as one of its addresses, that discovery doesn’t surprise me in the least.
Small wonder that no one in the US government has expressed any serious outrage about this reprehensible online hit list — it’s virtually “Made in the USA”!
“…do everything possible to prevent new attacks on journalists.”
Why not doxx the administrators of the site itself?
Because they are USG contractors?
While it’s not exactly “doxxing”, RT’s “‘Peacemaker’ of Death” article — https://www.rt.com/russia/560965-ukrainian-mirotvorets-website/ –does have an excellent photo of Anton Gerashchenko, former adviser to the Ukrainian minister of internal affairs, who apparently conceived this abomination.
