I agree fully with what is said in this video.

    Saker,

How ironic that you post this video here!

The lack of respect for the life of this Mr Churkin is sickening

However when I saw how you chose to illustrate an article using the assassination of the Russian ambassador in Turkey my reaction was the same. How tasteless and disrespectful.

What point was being served by using the picture? A man died and is used for click bait on this website

I was in Singapore recently and had lunch with an Italian friend. He asked me what is the difference between H.Clinton and D.Trump. I told him that if Clinton would have won the election, we would, most certainly, have WWIII in 2017. Since Trump actually won, we might have WWIII in 2018. We have at least one more year to enjoy life and Russia one more year to get ready. Cheers from France.

    Boom!

    Anissa Naouai says it perfectly.

      Yeah, I agree, she did.

I think its weird that she mentions Samantha Powers as if she’s (its) an okay person.

I don’t really get what Anissa is hating so much..I guess I’m not on Twitter so don’t really care about those idiots.

I think its weird that she mentions Samantha Powers as if she’s (its) an okay person.

She mentioned Samantha Powers to show that even that hag had enough decency to put ideology aside. I had seen SP tweet the day of the announcement and was surprized that it was decent.

I fail to see why someone using the same language and tactics that we laughed at when clinton’s people used them in their insane rants after the election does anything but reflect a poor light on this sight. That child needs her mouth washed out with soap.

Here’s a nice portrait of Vitaly Churkin – Arabic calligraphy style.

I don’t understand the faux Russian outrage at western reaction to Churkin’s death.

Anglo Saxons consider Russians to be ‘untermensch’ they always have and always will, and they will burn the earth to a cinder before they ever accept them as their social, political, cultural and moral equals.

    • _smr on February 23, 2017  ·  at 12:00 pm EST/EDT

Don’t be silly. Anglo Saxons don’t consider anyone to be Untermenschen, only their Elites pretend they do. What for? For continued stealing and plundering and for the adrenaline kick cheating, deceiving and lying gives.

      • Nussiminen on February 25, 2017  ·  at 5:02 pm EST/EDT

“Don’t be silly. Anglo Saxons don’t consider anyone to be Untermenschen, only their Elites pretend they do.”

Emidio Borg is in the right here, with _smr providing political cover for the (Anglo-American) 99% forever high on their vile corporate mindrot. If they didn’t consider Russians as untermenschen/scum, the MSM would have a huge problem indeed.

I agree 100% with Emidio that Russia should stop caring altogether about the West’s buggered psychobabble and all-out reactionary garbage. Just make sure Russia has the means necessary to defend herself.

Traitor McCain asked Churkin for donations to the Presidential campaign.

Two days before Wikileaks breaks the story Churkin dies of a heart attack.

WASHINGTON—Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) secretly traveled to northern Syria last weekend to speak with American military officials and Kurdish fighters at the forefront of the push to drive Islamic State out of their de facto capital of Raqqa, according to U.S. officials.

Actually, I suspect he was really there to support his buddies, ISIS.
Here he is, in the early days of ISIS adventure.

I will openly admit I have plagiarised the cut and paste that I place here from comments made at other sites. I share here because I think they have value:

    Churkin. ……..flapdoodle thesonandheir Feb 20, 2017 2:01 PM
Make no mistake… the timing of this is really odd and very scarey.

The significance is as follows: with as many years experience Churkin had, he has no doubt developed a *huge* number of contacts. If something were going to happen (whether in the US or on Russia’s doorstep), some of these contacts might have given him a heads up. This back channel to Putin is gone now and probably painstakingly difficult to replace.

The Deep State is a monster that is about to strike, perhaps the final move from a plan that might have been in play for decades… its not completely clear that Trump realizes this, or realizes this and can do nothing, or is part of an monumental misdirection. Buckle up…

Russian Diplomats killed since December 2016:

    Andrei Karlov – Turkey, December 20, 2016

    Peter Polishkov – Russia, December 20, 2016

    Andrey Malanin – Athens, Jan 6, 2017
Vitaly Churkin, USA, February 20, 2017

    And:

    Russia insider: Byzantines
Alexander Kadakin Russian ambassador in India ,dead.
Andrei Karlov, Russian ambassador in Turkey, dead
Andrei Malanin Russian diplomat in Athens, dead.
Alexander Petrovic ambassador in Tel Aviv ,poised.
Attack in the Russia embassy in Yemen.
    And now … Vitaly Churkin

Also I read that the plane with the Andropov choir also included 20 experts who were to investigate the claims about the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
So today, on RT, I read this:
    Yesterday
    22:21 GMT
France, Britain to press Syria chemical weapons resolution at UNSC – Reuters
Next week a draft resolution blacklisting 11 Syrian officials over alleged chemical weapons attacks sponsored by France and Britain may be voted on at the UN Security Council, Reuters reported, citing a diplomat. The motion is based on a joint inquiry by the UN and the OPCW, a chemical weapons watchdog. Russia reportedly indicated earlier that it would not support the draft.

They ( the demons) introduce this now. A coincidence those expert scientists are dead AND Churkin is dead???

    • Anonymous on February 24, 2017  ·  at 12:19 pm EST/EDT

And now I read “Russian consul Andrey Malanin found dead in Athens”

      http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-38560438

Looks like provocation by the usual suspects … this is gonna test VP’s resolve.

In the tragedy that is the death of Churkin, the person I have the most sympathy for is Lavrov.
    Yes, Lavrov.
Immediately the morning (my timezone) that I read of Churkin’s death, I went hunting across the internet looking for a comment/tribute from Lavrov, and found nothing…..
    Strange.
Nothing, then the next day, (my timezone), I saw some things: I found a gallery of pics of Lavrov and Churkin. Also, in a gallery of Chukin pics on RT, a few pics included Lavrov. Since I had seen nothing from Lavrov immediately, I intently studied their body language (I have no scientific training is this field, just a human, and as a human we all “read” each other…. )
I believe I saw real, genuine affection between the two. As colleagues. As men absolutely dedicated to the defence and advance of their beloved Russia.
I speculated: What a loss Churkin must mean for Lavrov. Not Lavrov the RF chess piece, but Lavrov as a flesh-and-blood, caring, breathing human.

I have absolutely no idea what it might have been like “growing up” in the then USSR. What a “legacy” that country has! (And I just mean since 1900).
^Loss of a Tsar, (monarchy as a way of govt/society); “civil” war; Lenin; holomodor; WW2+Stalin; Cold War.

    Cold War.

This is the time of Churkin and Lavrov. Consider their childhood, their youth and early career.
They share a connection to the Tsar and Lenin via grandparents; a connection to WW2 and Stalin via parents + immediate family and neighbours. They hold in their memories stories from family: Loved ones with personal accounts of these turbulent, “Armageddon”-like times. People living and surviving in a time of political quicksand.

In their formative early teens, it is a time of the Bay of Pigs nuclear stare-down. Will Kennedy or Khrushchev launch?
Then they are young(ish) men, starting their careers in the times of the last days of the Soviet Union. (1980s).
Both are diplomats, located outside the USSR. They gain a unique perspective. They love their homeland. But distance allows them to see some flaws.
Like loving someone with a prominent facial wart. You love them deeply, but in truth, you know they would look so much better without the wart! .

Maybe, independently, and together, they imagined a third way. Not the Darwinian capitalist “west”. – But not the stifling, secretive, repressive Russian Soviet – they imagined instead a third way. One where Russia could be open and “partners” with the west. Collaborative, brotherly, while also retaining what is essentially Russian.
A brave new world of fellowship and collegiate understanding; a striving for a better world, beyond artificial ideological conflict.
This, I imagine, (post Gorbachev-Yeltsin), is what they started to work towards – (Along with other colleagues (Putin) in what emerged to be the RF. )
Consider, over the past 20-25 years, how disillusioned they must have become. No matter how accommodating, no matter how conciliatory, no matter how righteous/ generous the RF, it always remained “The Enemy”.
    Imagine.
Imagine their shock as time after time they encountered the full demonic treachery of some within “the west”. CIA drug+weapon+human/sex trafficking. Repeated “Regime-change” in country after country……. <>

Imagine the disillusionment on discovering that, in truth, the idealised “west” actually matched, and far exceeded, any of the horrors and barbarism of WW2+Stalin!

I grew up in a very comfortable, complacent, “innocent” western country.
So, from my very limited, cloistered world view, I tried to imagine and empathise with Churkin and Lavrov. Tried to imagine their world. They had lived right at the epi-centre of so many geo-political transformations.

I then spent some time sending cosmic “meta” to Lavrov.
I imagine the loss of Churkin is, for Lavrov, somewhat a loss of a “soul-mate”. I certainly do not mean in the sense of a lover, but rather in the sense of a “soul mate” as a colleague, a confidant, a peer. Someone who intimately shared a strange, tumultuous history and therefore, (perhaps) an un-articulated understanding.
They were/are soldiers of profound, important righteousness, who shared a mission – their dedication to helping the whole world heal, reconcile, and strive for a common humanity.

****~May karma be kind to your soul, dear Vitaly Ivanovich. ~****
