Unfortunately this message doesn’t prevent us from WAR. Us and them, we are right, god with us…logic will not unite people. Pure universal knowledge includes everything, and if you establish a ritual, that means you are adhering to one line of thought, one mode of thinking, one idea structure, and, excluding all others
Regardless how we interpret this message, war is already going on if you have realized that. It is going on in different fronts in the Middle East with the IS going loose against everybody (with the open back up of Saudi, covered back up of Turkey, the US, etc) against Christians, Muslims, Alawites, etc. The war in Ukraine is another front, with the US/Europe through Ukraine against Russia. So war is on the move already.
You surely don’t think there wouldn’t be a war do you.( I don’t mean nuclear war believe Russia and the Empire. That is doubtful. Not impossible ,but doubtful.) But a war to liberate and defend Donbass is almost a certainty.Only the timing is still uncertain. You can’t reason with nazis, you fight them.
Don’t seem to be seeing anything here – so just to say – yes, Donbass is increasingly emerging as a heroic opposition to fascism..support will come in different ways, in various forms.
I now see sites like the Saker and South Front being cited on US alt media, some prestigious.
And even the Brussels Sprouts can no longer sustain the narrative of a year ago.
The Israelis/zionazis use that theme in occupied Palestine. The pindos use it for bloody well all their disgusting policies, it predominants there – and always did. It’s also a long standing Catholic enforced incentive to support their genocides, and their related political spin-offs, the 20th century fascists and German nazis, they latched right on to it, as well. The ZPC/NWO quislings in the Ukraine use it, religiously. That’s just a few examples of how such a recruitment theme has been used by the wrong people throughout history. The flipside is the sorts it attracts. You really want those sorts of people signing up on your side? I’ll guarantee you, if they do, Novorussia, will soon mirror Israel and the USA.
Hint: advertising that “God is on their side”, is a debasement of religion. It’s what the sort of people running the ZPC/NWO have their propagandists do. Don’t sink to their debased level.
I’m sort of mixed on this. (And I’m a mostly atheistic ignostic, anyway).
In secular terms this could be ‘right is on our side’, although you can get the same problem with that as you describe, but it’s a religious way of saying ‘We are doing the right thing’ — although again morality is relative from an objective POV, mostly, even it’s not relative subjectively (oft times).
But they are talking primarily to Russian or Eastern (or maybe Greek) Orthodox, and in that context people should understand what is meant. In that sense it is a ‘Sacred War’. I’m not going to try to argue against that. It’s full of meaning and power, and I think correct in this frame.

Another answer to ‘What is Zen’ has been ‘What makes you ask the question’.
Speaking of Zen, though, an Old Koan / story is about the guy who knocks on the monestary door to ask to be admitted to study. The master asks “Who is it”, and the man answers ‘It is me’.
The master tells him to go away.
Ten years later he knocks again, and the Master asks ‘Who is it’. The man answers ‘It is me’. The masters lets him in.
A monk standing near says “That same man gave the same answer ten years and you turned him away. Why?”
“This time”, the master says. “He understands his answer”.
Yes.
(You mean a wet duck DOES fly at night?
I first heard this on Johnny Carson show as a boy.)
I think Stafford Beer mentioned Zen in reference to cybernetics, and the limits of reductionist thinking, but the issues of epistemology and paradigm runs through many things, including religious, mystical, or magickal philosophies, and of course http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Structure_of_Scientific_Revolutions .
Most people have a very hard time with meta-systems and thinking, and are mostly trained out of it by church, school, and society. Chomsky talks about framing and limiting debate (Manufacturing Consent), and so does Lakoff and other linguists, semioticians, psychologists, etc. A problem is when we can think something but not say it — cf sapir-whorf hypothesis. This is often thought to be discredited now, at least the strong version, and yet much propaganda uses framing to create ‘new speak’ and similar exactly to control people’s thinking by controlling language. Zen does tend to cut through that, but it’s difficult to say things (and think things) when language is limited, and especially controlled, and so much depends on context.
Non-linguistic thinking can be useful, but it can be tricky. I’ve seen people say that a human can’t think (logically at least) without language. Obviously those people never played chess, music, or drew pictures. Yet, people do tend to engage in religion as if it was literal and logical rather than expressive art or poetry (and some people have brains which can’t handle metaphor, analogy, parable, or other non-literal processes).
Just consider the question ‘Ukraine’ or ‘Ukrainian’. What do those words mean, exactly? There’s quite a bit of violence occurring because of that issue. Or ‘Russian’, as in tanks, fighters, etc. Press says ‘Russian fighters’, and that’s translated to ‘Russian troops’ and then to Russian army’ — almost without noting the differences, and how ‘ethnic Russians’ might be fully Ukrainian citizens, and therefor ‘Ukrainians’. \
Dombass is fighting for ALL of us against nazifascism in Ukraine and Eu. I am with them!
But I would not have included “God is with us”, is He really with us? Does He really want that we kill each other for any ideology, or it is instead our finitude that does not allow us to find the right way out?
What could have Jesus done in this situation? The concept of “just war” is a concept presented by the Vatican, and for what I know it was not present at the beginning of Christianity.
Jesus would have walked across the great water (cf I Ching). But lesser beings don’t have the power or wisdom to do that, so they do what they can. It is difficult and frustrating to not be a god.
Apparently it’s no picnic being one either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBoyjleXFz0

Have not watched yet, but a highly regarded film. Can’t find the version with English subs, and my Russian is very rusty now.
If you are a new commenter, please choose a different name. If you are the original real Auslander, welcome back. A few lines of what you’ve been up to would be great, not for publication if you prefer.
Yes, ’tis the real Auslander. We have been busy to an extreme for many months, far too busy for far too long.
We are still quite active with our now settled refugees, almost all are getting along quite well on the mainland. Our other activities, of which Saker is aware from last year, are ongoing. We are also involved with events in certain areas to the north in that we work with orphans and make sure the orphans are succored to safety regardless of where they are located when they are orphaned.
This year we were again offered to participate in the Victory Day Parade. In years past we have politely refused, reasoning that a foreigner might not be considered good form for such an event. This year’s invitation was couched in different terms and we participated as we will in future parades and events in and around this berg. The parade was quite emotional for both the participants and the crowds and we were shocked to say the least at how we were greeted and honored before, during and after the parade.
I will have a bit more time to be on this blog now, one time consuming three year work of which again Saker is aware of is now complete and will be published by the end of June. I will try to cause not too much trouble when I comment.
When I returned from my journey to US last October, hadn’t been back in some years, I flew in to Mockba. The young Starshi Lutanant at Border Control said the same thing, to whit: ‘Welcome home, Starshi Sarjant.’ How right you both are.

@ BOT TAK,
They asked a Zen master, “What is Zen, exactly?”
The master grinned a bit and replied, “The moment I tell you…, it ceases to be Zen…”

Why, yes.
Well, then wash your dishes.

http://southfront.org/join-donbas/#/?playlistId=0&videoId=0 it is just an announcement of their new channel/page. Most of us have been finding it very slow. For their news ones you can bookmark their secret Youtube link https://www.youtube.com/user/crimeanfront/videos
What is required to join, except courage, commitment and good health – and a valid passport??? Seriously!
Yes I was wondering the same thing…

“Welcome home, Sarjent.” You’re no foreigner there.
Looks like nothing secret here, so I’m letting everyone see it, some will remember you.
Thank you for the welcome, it’s good to be home.
