“The “peace” plan Poroshenko with the “ceasefire” is an obvious fake, as it is linked with extension obviously unacceptable to DND and LNR conditions. Basically the “truce” from the point of view of the fascist junta requires that the militias were able to disarm, that is, to surrender. Because that’s obviously not going to happen (too much blood has been already spilled + no illusions regarding the implications of the victory of the Nazis in Donbas) and the fascists in Kiev is well known, the “truce” will try to use to:
1. Stall the entire responsibility for the continuation of the war on the management DND and LNR who do not want to go to surrender unconditionally. It is the rebels will try to put the main culprits of the ongoing carnage. 2. Demonstration imaginary “peace” – I wanted the world, and these scoundrels want war with the aim of concealing already made and now committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. 3. The pause can be used to rearrange troops, rotating parts suffered significant losses (as mentioned earlier, after 2-3 days of hostilities – infantry junta usually out of steam), pull up equipment, removal of dead and wounded in the rear, the accumulation of ammunition and fuel for an intense offensive operations, conduct supplementary exploration on the direction of the main blows, repair damaged helicopters and planes (given their shared a small amount).
The “truce” you can cancel at any time, just attacking one of your posts (if necessary with the dead bodies to TV pictures), and then to blame the soldiers DND and LNR, putting the blame on them and for the breakdown of the ceasefire, with the subsequent media line – we wanted peace, and these separatist war – we have no choice as massively to kill them and destroy the cities in which they live.
In this regard, I would not advise to nourish illusions “truce” if there is a short window without active hostilities, it must of course be used to strengthen the defensive lines, activation of accepting volunteers and their weapons, preparation for the battles captured and repair of military equipment, mining of roads, bridges, railway tracks.

Poroshenko wants to sign the rest of the association agreement with the EU. The EU is probably getting cold feet. He needs to calm things down until after the agreement is signed. Then he’ll fire a few shells into a residential area and say the separatists can’t be trusted.
Poroshenko is a psychopath oligarch. He only cares about money and power. To him it doesn’t matter what happens to the Ukraine. When this is all over he’ll be living in a 10 million dollar penthouse in New York, treated like royalty by the MSM and become a congressman.
“At sitting of the National Security and Defense Council the President of Ukraine strongly forbade cooperation in military area. From this day forth we ceased any cooperation in military-industrial complex area with the Russian Federation”, – said the first Vice Prime Minister.
I thought as you did but read the last words from Pravda:
Putin’s visit to Brazil for the final game of the World Cup 2014 will also be timed to the summit of the BRICS states that is to take place in the middle of July in Fortaleza, Brazil. The bloc includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
So first BRICS, then flag exchange ceremony. Not the other way.
@Saker/ all Do the Russian gas pipelines span the entire or at least a significant portion of the state of Ukraine? I ask because the incident of sabotage in Poltava and the Russian reaction/ lack there of might hold the key to the mystery behind Putin’s hesitation to enter Ukraine in force. What if the Americans/ poroshenko’s government have threatened and demonstrated their determination to target these vital Russian lifelines and source of Russian wealth in conjunction with a relentless guerrilla campaign as a response to a Russian invasion. Think of how many troops it’ll take to secure the entire length of Russia’s pipeline interests and how long the supporting lines of communication/ supply lines for the occupation force will have to be to accomplish this feat. Think of how vulnerable those troops and supply lines would be to a hostile population and a protracted guerrilla campaign, to say nothing of the strain it’ll put on Russia’s economy ( it cost well over a trillion to secure Americas interests/ supply lines for the occupation of Iraq). If there’s some other way of securing these interests that circumvents these costs, I’d appreciate someone explaining and will accordingly dismiss my hypothesis. If I’m right however, then VV is probably right to consider his next move only after a long and meticulous contemplation. Look how many troops it took to secure chechnya’s pipelines. It’s all about the pipelines folks, the nationalist/ patriotic rhetoric is just for public consumption, if it’s to be war, VV will need all the oligarchs on his side as well as the masses

Vera Graziadei guiding her readers through the eight stages of genocide as currently taking place in the Ukrainian Reich with the full backing and encouragement of the US-Empire:
Irrespective of whether you see what’s going on in Ukraine as a civil war, war against a foreign aggressor or anti-terrorist operation, the war crimes of the Ukrainian government (highlighted above in bold) towards East Ukrainian civilians amount to a textbook definition of DEMOCIDE or intentional GENOCIDE, carried out by a government during war times. It hasn’t claimed a large proportion of population yet, as it’s only the beginning, but there’s enough evidence that if it’s not stopped it will lead to a large scale disaster.
If you are still in doubt that what is happening is indeed genocide, then please continue reading, as I take you through the eight stages of genocide with concrete evidence for each stage coming from Ukraine and available online. Aside from the criminals, who have ordered and carried out the crimes, there are also individuals and media outlets that have either ignored, facilitated, encouraged, promoted or applauded one or all of the stages of this genocide. Ukrainian Genocide and its Cheerleaders – Vera Graziadei
Though not mentioned, Russian troops again being near the border could benefit Novorussians by drawing of some of the banderivtsy terrorists threatening attacking them. It also might hasten decisions to change sides or refuse orders among the green conscripted junta troops, if they think their action could initiate a Russian invasion and certain annihilation.
The answer about demarcation of borders! After the illegal break-up of the USSR which happened by the decision made by 3 alcoholics (Eltsin, Kravchuk, Shushkevich) despite USSR ppl opinion which in great majority voted against the break-up, it still happened and the same day Eltsin called US state department to report a “Good news”. The treason has happened! Since that time all the ex USSR republics became independent states… in those borders which were created during the USSR. During those years, nobody cared about demarcation, everyone can see that Russia has no intentions to grab the land even illegally taken… anyways, legally Russia could claim any land of any ex-USSR state because there was no demarcation and legally they are all are part of Russia. The same story with Crimea… Legally, Russia has a right to take back Crimea even despite Crimean Referendum or its Naval basis etc. There was no threat from Russia and all the ex-USSR states, during 23 years, were busy stealing what was left after the USSR… now, when they are either taken by NATO or NATO is messing around with them… who cares really about their borders… So, quite a mess.. but Russia still has an every legal right to claim those lands back…
The pipelines and the threat of sabotage is a valid issue. I suppose if Russia were to intervene openly, they would have to accept the need to abandon the pipelines through Ukraine and rely only on the ones that don’t go through that country.
But the “pipelines as a weapon” thing exists not matter what. Basically the Ukrainias consider they have the right to get Russian gas at a heavy discount, and pay for it only when or if they feel like it — or else impose exorbitant fees for allowing passage of the pipes through their territory OR simply steal the gas destined for Europe.
That kind of attitude has been the habitual behavior for Ukraine even with relatively friendly governments toward Russia.
Now that governments are going to be openly hostile to Russia, it can only get worse. I consider it a given that if Russia wants to use the pipes through Ukraine from now on, it will basically have to provide free gas to Ukraine.
Several participants in the South Stream gas pipeline project are coming under pressure, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said at the Global Petroleum Congress in Moscow on Thursday. “The European Commission has taken a harsh position on the operation of transnational infrastructure projects with Russian participation: the OPAL gas pipeline, South Stream, Yamal-Europe. Today certain partners in the South Stream project are coming under pressure,” Novak said.
“In particular, our Bulgarian colleagues are being threatened with a complete shutoff of financing from euro-fund money. Nor are any constructive solutions, taking into account the interests of investors and consumers, being offered,” he added.
The peoples of Europe are now waking up to the fact that their various so called “elected representatives” do not in fact represent them at all and in fact couldn’t give two hoots about them except in their primary role to the state as being cash cows to be milked of their taxes to further the empires geopolitical goals. This was amply demonstrated in the recent Euro elections where the anti EU parties made significant gains. But I fear people are waking up too late and there are still significant numbers out there who are unable or unwilling to do any critical thinking of their own and buy into the empires MSM propaganda. The populations of the “west” need to realize that they are as much slaves of the empire as the citizens of all the hapless countries worldwide that the empire has destroyed in subjugating and installing their puppet regies while plundering these countries resources with their multinationals and banking. What they do to the people of these countries they will also do to their own citizens at home should they ever feel the necessity for it. The empire has no morality and no empathy and is solely driven by corporate greed and expansionism. The “exceptionals” have only loyalty to themselves and have no loyalty or “friendship” to any particular country. Im not sure the so called “leaders” of the EU have fully grasped this point yet or if, as I suspect, they are fully aware of it but just dont care for their own citizens as they are all part of the empire and are in for themselves. The peoples of the “west” are sleepwalking into a totalitarian nightmare.
An emphatic YES! to all you said, except the timeframe thereof.
“What they do to the people of these countries they will also do to their own citizens at home should they ever feel the necessity for it.”
What they do to the people of these countries they have *also been doing* to their own citizens at home. Just a bit more slowly and, so far, with less violence. The peoples of the “west” are sleepwalking not merely into, but in the early stages of an ongoing totalitarian nightmare.
Imo it’s essentially a class war and We The People are merely another resource to extract and then throw away. People talk about a return to feudalism but they’re deluding themselves: serfs and peasants were essential for the system to survive — we’re just in the way and thanks to Ayn Rand and Social Darwinism, apparently not fit to survive. Of course, Darwin’s concept of survival of the fittest didn’t refer to individuals at all, only species. And that whole Alpha Wolf concept has been discredited by its originators, but a bit too late bc it’s simply a meme in certain quarters. Our species, meanwhile, hurtles on towards extinction: and if anyone truly believes they can wait out a nuclear winter in some underground shelter, well, they deserve to starve there, just a bit more slowly (and probably a whole lot more violently) than the rest of us.
Amen to your last sentence Nora. I suppose as long as the US $ still holds the status of world reserve currency the US government doesnt need the American taxpayer as they can just krank up the printing press and carry on printing out those $ out of thin air, but in good old Europe the citizens are pretty much a “captive” population so to speak. As an example in England more and more people are struggling to make ends meet under a ruinous combination of low wages and high taxes to the extent that the middle classes are being wiped out. More and more people are now relying on foodbanks and charities to feed their families and put food on the table while the governments “austerity” program is cutting all social welfare to the bone. But at the same time more billionaires are being created and tax cuts given to the super rich. The whole system stinks and until the citizens of the west realize what an existential threat their respective governments represent to them things will only get worse not better. How many people in Europe have now committed suicide due to their bleak financial outlook and no hope for a better future ? The rabid capitalism of the west is in a feeding frenzy and will consume us the people if we let it. I just wish people would take their blinkers off and smell the coffee.
VIVA RUSSIA
Apparently we’ve called in the Marines to protect Chevron, who feels “vulnerable to attack” in NW Australia and the South China Sea?
Huh? Is this connected to Australia’s recent shift to the right? Is China really that big a threat? Or are we trying to make her one.
Looks to me like we’re just itching for war (i.e., MIC profits), and we just don’t care where. Didn’t there used to be some military assessment — made public annually — stating how many simultaneous “engagements” we were good for? I remember the number being quite limited not too long ago…
What on Earth is in the water in D.C.? Every last one of them is simply, utterly, insane.
Degrading the pipes thru Ukraine would be trivial technically. But if it were done, the USSA has lost (in the long run: everything), because the impact of lack of winter gas in Europe would turn the politicians irreversibly against the USSA and towards the New Silk Roaders. By “politicians” I mean here the elected governments of European countries, not the unelected nomenklatura that is the EUSSR, which, being unelected, couldn’t give a damn about the European peoples, but is very much involved in playing the poodle to the Yankee whistle.
It is important I think to be aware that, notwithstanding events in Ukraine, the wider war ongoing is between the USSA and Europe. And that in this war of imperialism there is a big difference between the desires and interests of national governments and the EU.
Oops. Now at the video link I see the translation posted. Credited to “Fruitc on Reddit,” but no link, and as far as I know, we can’t link to an individual comment at YT. So now there is a link to the transcript.

There’s a reason DHS and other agencies purchased over a billion rounds of ammunition, including hollow points. They’ve been preparing for this for a long time, from Rex 84 to Bush II’s dismantling of the Magna Carta, Bioshield 1 & 2 (which includes forced vaccinations while protecting BigPharma from lawsuits) and Homeland Security Act, to Regulation 210-35 (Civilian Inmate Labor Program), to Obama’s NDAA, to all those FEMA camps around the country waiting to be filled.
Greed knows no bounds. It is the most pernicious addiction known to humankind. Left unchecked it becomes a psychopathic drive. When people afflicted with this disease attain political power it becomes a political pathology (vorocracy) that transcends all ideologies. It becomes increasingly paranoid, as it projects its own fears and desires onto others. Their paranoia grows in proportion to their rapacity, until it becomes absolute. Hence the need for Omniscience (eg: NSA) and Omnipotence (eg: PNAC).
So yes, it will come home. And they’re ready for it.
Yes to most of what you said, but not FEMA camps. They’re an urban myth (check Snopes) that began under Bush; if you don’t believe that, just ask yourself why they’d bother feeding us. They won’t, and they won’t waste the ammo driving people into a camp either. Prisons, otoh, at least provide slave labor and the ones that aren’t filled, will be. The rest of us can duke it out among ourselves — and will.
I honestly don’t know what to think about the FEMA camps — too much conflicting information for me to have certain knowledge. And though snopes is a good resource, he’s not infallible.
Your point about saving the money by shooting us instead of housing us is well taken, but the Nazi camps were, first and foremost, labor camps, and very profitable they were to, a revolutionary and successful industrial management prototype of the prison-industrial complex. (cf: Michael Thad Allen: The Business of Genocide)
Thus the Civilian Labor Inmate Program signifies, to me, that they won’t be shooting everybody… Not when there’s enormous profit to be made from having a huge unpaid labor pool at your disposal.
Yes to prison slave labor — we learned well from the Nazis, in all sorts of lovely ways. But Lohmann, we don’t make that much any more! No jobs bc most manufacturing has been offshored. Most people here are technically surplus (it was very hard to type that; it’s not MY way of thinking but it is that of our oligarchs). (Just look what they’ve done with “makers” [i.e., the 99%] and “takers” [them] — they’ve turned it right around and the Libertarians still buy right into it!) I’m sure prisons will be filled with just the right number of workers, however few it is — but the American population as a whole is not even healthy or fit enough for slave labor (diabetes and heart disease are expensive to treat and their sufferers aren’t physically capable of much work). And I just think TPTB would much rather we shoot it out among ourselves and spare them the trouble of sorting through us and then disposing of whoever wouldn’t be worth their while. Also, between California and Ukraine being out of commission, crop-wise, for the foreseeable future, they’d much rather we starve than have to scramble to find, and then pay top dollar for, any food for people who are so unnecessary. Much much easier to let us all kill each other off. And, as I said, unless we figure out how to a) get along and b) stop them, we *will* kill each other off. After all, it’s the American way, right? We’ll just be doing it to ourselves instead of others. I’m old, I didn’t think I’d live to see this, but I’m thinking more and more that I will.

The cease fire is nonsense.

@Saker/ all
Do the Russian gas pipelines span the entire or at least a significant portion of the state of Ukraine?

What is this news story about a unilateral border demarkation? I can’t fina anything that gives background on it. Is the border between Russia and Ukraine still not agreed on? Can you give us some history on this issue of demarkation?

Russian troops returned to the borders of its border with Ukraine
http://translate.yandex.net/tr-url/ru-en.ru/voicesevas.ru/news/yugo-vostok/1886-rossiyskie-voyska-vozvraschayutsya-na-rubezhi-svoey-granicy-s-ukrainoy.html
From Voice of Russia today :
“
“The system of relations between energy and geopolitics “is changing before our eyes,” Novak said.

The peoples of the “west” are sleepwalking into a totalitarian nightmare.
les,
I am guessing it’s the border with Krim.
know the truth,
An emphatic YES! to all you said, except the timeframe thereof.
In reply to Nora :

The pipelines…

Re Brian’s two links contrasting the Aidar engagement from each side’s perspective… I don’t know anything about “Dmitry Tymchuk” (“reserve officer, director of the NGO Center for Military and Political Studies”) but reading his blog, it’s clear that either his native is English or he has a very rigorous editor working for him.
@ know the truth 19 June, 2014 12:51 → “What they do to the people of these countries they will also do to their own citizens at home should they ever feel the necessity for it. The empire has no morality and no empathy and is solely driven by corporate greed and expansionism.”
Lohmann,
Yes to most of what you said, but not FEMA camps.
Hi Nora. Thanks for the reply.
Lohmann,
Yes to prison slave labor — we learned well from the Nazis, in all sorts of lovely ways.
