18th June: A tweet purported to belong to Saudi National Abdullah Al Turki:
Getting rid of Kafir Shia in Syria and Iraq is more important than getting rid of Zionist
We will dig up the grave of Ali ibn Abi Talib inshallah and bring out the Mahdi from the underground and kill him. This is not a threat but a uprise.
It’s a wish to dig up the grave of Zainab too
(Not sure if this is genuine or propaganda)
18th June: The United States Air Force is formally asked by the Iraqi government to bomb Daash targets and prevent the advance of militants. Any such request would have, at the least, involved the Iranian commander of the Qods force.
18th June: the Saudi embassy in London has issued this statement: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wishes to see the defeat and destruction of all Al-Qaeda networks and the Islamic State of Iraq and Al Sham (ISIS) operating in Iraq. Saudi Arabia does not provide either moral or financial support to ISIS or any terrorist networks. Any suggestion to the contrary, is a malicious falsehood. Despite the false allegations of the Iraqi Ministerial Cabinet, whose exclusionary policies have fomented this current crisis, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports the preservation of Iraq’s sovereignty, its unity and territorial integrity. We wish to see the protection of all civilians and the alleviation of their current suffering. We oppose all foreign intervention and interference in the internal affairs of Iraq. Instead, we urge all the people of Iraq, whatever their religious denominations, to unite to overcome the current threats and challenges facing the country.”
18th June: Hillary Clinton has expressed her view that it was a mistake on the part of Iraq to ask for the withdrawal of US military personnel.
18th June: Massoud Barzani, the president of the Kurdish region, announced a general mobilisation to bolster Peshmerga forces in defending Iraqi Kurdistan. He has asked former members to consider enrolling and has appealed to the Kurdish population for support.
18th June: Pro government Afaq TV is airing commercials calling for the boycott of Turkish and Saudi goods.
19th June: Ali Al Qureshi confirms that the refinery in Baiji is in government hands. A truce between the government and local tribes allowed for the evacuation of 300 refinery staff. Army aviation was instrumental in forcing Daash to withdraw its forces. Skirmishes between the two sides are ongoing. The Iraqi oil ministry is now threatening to sue news agencies that include AFP and Reuters for airing false reports.
19th June: The US has started reconnaissance sorties over Iraqi Air Space with F-18 Hornets.
19th June: Over 100000 Kurds from the refugee population in Arbat Camp in Sulaimaniyeh have volunteered to join the Peshmergas. They have expressed a desire to work without pay.
19th June: the Turks expect that with Baiji refinery out of action, Iraq will be forced to import refined petroleum products from, surprise-surprise, Turkey. Baiji refinery used to meet 25% of Iraqi refined petroleum needs.
19th June: Iranians are now sure that disinformation played a major role in the fall of Mosul. Rumours of the fall of the city were spread before it had actually fallen. Something similar was planned for other parts and prompted the Iraqi government to curtail phone and internet access.
19th June: the spokesperson for the Iraqi army, Qassim Atta, has mentioned that Iraqi Special forces were used in wresting control of Baiji.
19th June: Confrontations took place between Security services and Daash in Fallujah and the army has gained control of Saqlawiyah north west of Fallujah after killing 250 militants.
19th June: According to Qassim Atta the Iraq Army is making preparations to retake Mossul.
19th June: Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif has announced the drafting of the final nuclear agreement between Iran and the Group 5+1
NB: This is from an unusual source, but very interesting:
19th June: Indian media reports from an escaped Indian worker who fled Mosul a month before it fell, Ahmad (Indian Worker): Around a month ago, a friend of mine told me that it was better that we got out of Mosul as a major invasion was being planned by the Al Qaeda-offshoot Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. He also told me that Mosul would be taken over and after that it would be living hell to be here… I am being told that in the days to come even Bhagdad will not be safe.
Ahmad: All stories about those barbaric acts that you hear are true. The ISIS are not human beings; they butcher people at will. It is fun for them to kill people and as long as they are around no part of Iraq is safe.
19th June: Twenty trucks carrying food supplies for the displaced in Sinjar, west of Tal Afar, were blocked and looted by Daash. Daash has asked the city authorities to expel refugees from Tal Afar to be allowed access to aid.
19th June: Kurdish authorities are now rationing fuel being supplied to drivers. An odd and even system is being used to ration fuel. There is an acute shortage of fuel.
19th June: Petro China is now evacuating a limited number of staff from Iraq. It has renewed its offer to assist the government in Baghdad but not specified if military assistance would be forth coming. China is the largest investor in Iraq’s oil sector and also the largest customer of Iraq’s oil. This could explain why Iraq is now facing this crisis.
19th June: The elders of Kirkuk City and the tribal elders of nearby Bashir have entered negotiations to return the bodies of civilians killed by Daash. Most victims are women and children.
19th June: Baiji refinery is still being fought over with both sides claiming victory. Daash had draped its flags on the refinery earlier in the day.
19th June: A Saudi woman is beaten to death in Colchester, UK. Daash has asked Muslims in the UK to take revenge. The tweet to avenge the woman’s death was from a British “Muslim” member of Daash.

If Saudis are not behind this who then? Well not so difficult, could it be US/CIA? Turkey too? Both of them? Israel? It is impossible to believe that this group has trained and weaponized itself without any help from outside.
Thanks, Mindfriedo very informative.
ISIS didn’t just fall from the sky. The US/Saudi/Zio axis must have known about them all along. Nothing I’ve heard about them since can dissuade me from the opinion that they are the new, improved Jihad Inc designed to crack open Syria once and for all and pave the way to Iran.
Mindfriedo’s “Daash only” analysis is wrong. He ignores the national resistance component in the revolution against Maliki. If he wanted to argue the Daash is the main force that would be one thing but to take it as the only force ignores the facts.
The Daash is foreign controlled. But for crying out loud, even the New York Times is compelled to admit that a broad base on indigenous Iraqi forces are fighting Maliki!

“Nora said…,
I always get so much from your comments, and am very much looking forward to hearing of your parents’ experience. Hopefully sometime soon?.”
Dear Nora,
InshaAllah (God Willing) it will be as soon as Iraq and Ukraine are somewhat calm down. The SITREP with Saker’s approval will show how great the Christians are, especially those from USA. And, the Extreme Love of God in Christians’ hearts. Through this Extreme Love of God, the Love of Neighbors (even those far, far away).
I hope you started to reread “Faust” by Goethe, keeping in mind that he is poking fun. First read The Good Book, as “Faust” is from The Good Book:
“Prologue on earth and in heaven
The prologue on earth shows the righteous Job blessed with wealth and sons and daughters. The scene shifts to heaven, where God asks satan (ha-satan, literally “the accuser”) for his opinion of Job’s piety. Satan answers that Job is pious only because God has blessed him; if God were to take away everything that Job had, then he would surely curse God. God gives satan permission to take Job’s wealth and children, but Job praises God: “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return: the Lord has given, and Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” God allows satan to afflict his body with boils. Job sits in ashes; his wife prompts him to “curse God, and die,” but Job answers: “Shall we receive good from God and shall not receive evil?”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Job“
As you can see the ha-satan (the accuser, the adversary) is in complete hands of God in The Good Book. Even satan requested God, to take away Job’s children and wealth, as he has no power on such things. Not even on death.
BTW, sons of elohim and Son of elohim is same in Hebrew/Arabic, as there are no capital letters in Semitic languages.
Best regards,
Mohamed.
Just in!
19th June: Comments by Obama, addressing the American people
1 Better security for embassy
2 Intelligence gathering
3 Better assistance to Iraqis to share information, additional equipment, and additional military advisors. No combat forces.
4 Military assets in place, once intelligence is received we will take action.
5 Finally: diplomatic effort to meet with Iraq’s neighbours. Kerry will be sent (Thank God he did not select Blair).
Shia Sunni Kurds should have equal say. Not our job to decide on internal leadership of Iraq, but it needs better. Will not take side with one sect against another.
My duty is to the American people and to look after American interests.
In short, he has turned down Iraq’s (gen. Suliemani’s) request to carry out airstrikes. The Iranians/Iraqis are going to have to fight hard. And why would the Americans bomb their own tools?
Mindfriedo
@Mindfriedo
Excellent summary.
BTW, I never thought I’d see the words “Thank God” and “John Kerry” in the same sentence. ;-)
Certain sections of the US administration are carrying out a protection racket, they’re saying: “we can make it stop….just aahh do as we say next time Mr. Maliki orrr else! Kapisch?!!”
The worst thing Maliki could do is cave in to this blackmail; he’s got to slaughter without mercy the ISIS savages, he has to capture their leadership, especially Eutopean and Turkish ISIS members and subject them to “enhanced” interrogation.
If the Syrian Army was able to defeat and drive out ISIS, then Iraq should sure as hell be able to do the same.
@ Everybody,
Imagine, $1.5 Billion in Cash and Bullion were left in the Mosul Bank. What kind of Bank(s), keep that kind of Liquidity.
False Flag!

Where was Iraqi Intelligence, just like the 50,000 Troops who Deserted, because the Officers left at night. I guess everyone in Iraq is sleeping all the time.
False Flag!

Thank you for these reports, Mindfriedo. They’re horrifying but it is better to know what is really going on. Thanks.
@David Hungerford
Dear Sir,
I am not analyzing. I’m compiling news events as they are being reported in the English, Iraqi, Kurdish and other news sources I can find.
I have made mistakes which others have pointed out, such as the AIPAC linked article.
Please feel free to add your comments and analysis.
Yes, you are right that Daash was not that important as compared to say the Military Council in the fall of Mosul. Or that the general Sunni uprising against Maliki was a catalyst that propelled these events. But everywhere I read its government claiming to kill Daash, Kurds claiming to kill Daash, Daash claiming to kill security personnel, Daash draping its flag on Baiji refinery.
Where i’m not sure Dash was not involved, I use the term militants.
Say I post an event and you have definite information that disgruntled tribes or Sunni Arabs were involved, you can add that in the comments and I’ll add it to next days SITREP. If you feel I have missed something important, I will add that too.
regards
Mindfriedo
“China is the largest investor in Iraq’s oil sector and also the largest customer of Iraq’s oil. This could explain why Iraq is now facing this crisis.”
If the Chinese have oil investments somewhere, the Empire or one of it’s proxies (ISIS, Saudis, Turkey) are sure to follow.
Iran, Iraq, China know who’s behind this and are sure to make big efforts to reverse events.
“Comments by Obama,

“Comments by Mindfriedo,

The above two comments seems to contradict each other.

The ISIS Uprising: The Battle for Iraq

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/19/world/middleeast/former-loyalists-of-saddam-hussein-crucial-in-helping-isis.html?ref=middleeast&_r=0“
Dear David,
It is an excellent article and I read the whole of it, but it misses lots of points:
01. Both Assad, Assad’s father and Saddam governments are Baathists.
02. The article alludes to it, but doesn’t make the connection.
03. Assad’s father stood up with Bush’s father against Saddam in First Iraq (Gulf) War. Thus, Baathists against Baathists.
04. Baathists are supposedly secularist but always against Shia. Saddam never allowed the Shia to practice their religion in Iraq.
05. Baathists in Iraq are Naqshbandia, so is mostly Turkey and especially Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Are they getting covert help from Recep Tayyip Erdoğan?
06. Baathists and the Sunnis were minority and they lost power due to Dubya. And, they are not happy. Now the Shia who are in majority are the ruling class, with minority Sunni in the Government.
07. Whoever, is running Iraq including Prime Minister Malaki, the Baathists will not be happy as losers, and they will always claim “sectarian”.
08. So, every month the Baathists are killing at least 1,000 Shias and lots more Shias are being seriously injured for life.
09. The Baathists have now come out in open with ISIL (ISIS) and shown their true face. It is time to get rid of them with ISIL once and for all.
10. This will take care of the sectarian issue in Iraq once and for all. Then it will be shown that Malaki is not the problem.
11. Iraq is a very mix community of Shia, Sunni, Christians and Jews and they have lived with other for more than 3000+ years like in Syria.
12. Therefore, the towns and villages are interlinked. Basra has about 75% Shia and about 25% Sunni.
13. In Samara the majority of the population are Sunnis. But is has three Shia Shrines and full of Shia Pilgrimages. These Shia Pilgrimages are happily hosted by the Sunnis.
Best regards,
Mohamed.
@ Everybody,
Alawites were never considered Shia, even by Shia. It was Ayatollah Khomeini who brought them in mainstream Shia. Now, they are changing and becoming mainstream Shia.
Turkey has about 20% Alawites, and as recently as one month ago, the Turkish Prime Minister made the comment that if Alawites means, “Lover of Ali”, then I am Lover of Ali too, but I practice 5 times daily prayer.
Best regards,
Mohamed.

@Mohamed
Regarding Obama and contradiction:
The Iraqis have asked for air strikes. Why? Cause it would have sent an immediate message to Daash, the Military Council, the Naqshabandi Order and their allies. American actions more than American firepower would have affected their morale. American allies in the region, Turkey, Israel, and Saudi Arabia were against these airstrikes for this reason.
This situation is very similar to when the Iran Iraq war ended. Saddam wanted to claim his prize (Kuwait) after he had done his master’s bidding. The words and actions of the United States egged him on.
By making these statements, the ones Obama did today, Obama has legitimized the actions of Daash, the Sunni tribes, the military council, and ex Bathist. They are carrying arms against the central government, be it repressive, unrepresentative, corrupt etc etc etc. But once you carry arms, the state has no choice. It will have to fight you. There can’t be two or three centers of power in one state.
Daash is a terrorist organization. Sure the terrorist seem better to work with than the thugs of Maliki for the local Sunnis. But they are terrorist. And the United States has just legitimized their takeover on sectarian grounds.
In this conflict a few actors are benefiting the most: the Kurds (maybe not intentionally but territorialy), the Turks (deceptively, financially), Israel (politically and militarily), the Jordanians (brownie points), Saudi Arabia (no Shia neighbor, humiliation for Iran).
On the losing side: Iraq (Wealth, Sovereignty, Human Resource, Natural Resource, Infrastructure), Iran (human resource, finance, influence, flexibility, an ally), China (access to energy, a level playing field, investment), Hizballah (manpower, prestige) and in the medium to long run, the Sunnis of Iraq will lose a lot. Because the Shias will crush them as far as they can. Not because they want to all the time, but because the divide of us and them will widen. And because the allies of the Sunnis from without will egg them on. And one big looser is going to be Turkey. I believe that this conflict will cause a break up of Turkey as well.
The solution for Iraq I feel has to be from within. But it can come only after a lot of conflict. Sadr was fiery at first and antagonistic to Sistani, Sistani saved his life in Najaf; he has now matured. Sistani has just saved Maliki Baghdad; Maliki or his possible successor need to reach out to the Sunnis; give them jobs, a future in Iraq, even if they never gave the Shias any. If Iraq has to remain one, then a political solution will have to follow a military one. But I doubt America will let any of this happen. America thrives on perpetual conflict.

Are the zionazis getting the American public prepared for an overt American attack on Syria? The zionazi planners may think Russia will be too busy dealing with what the zionazis are doing to Novorossia and the Ukraine to block the zionazi’s Syria plans this time. This headline at Yahoo news is what I mean:
Obama’s war on ISIL could reach beyond Iraq into Syria
Obviously, the vanguard of the zionazi marketing to come regarding trying to save the failing zionazi take over of Syria.

Salam brother Mindfriedo,
We cannot blame all our actions on Americans. Comments like this empowers the Empire.
There are Sunnis and there are Saddamist Sunnis. These Saddamist Sunnis are wolf in sheep clothing, just like the ex-VP of Iraq, who is now given Political Cover in Turkey.
Both Turkey and Saudi Arabia will never allow a Shia Power in Iraq. So they egg on the Saddamist Sunnis by empowering them.
No matter, who is the Shia Government in Iraq. No matter how much that Government reach out to Sunnis. The Saddamist Sunnis, Turkey and Saudi Arabia will always cry and shout “Sectarian”.
Imagine how many Civilian Shias are being killed every month in Iraq bombings. How many Civilian Shias are injured for life every month by bombs.
Who is doing this bombing? Is it because Maliki is not reaching out to the Sunnis. In this case, the Shias in Iraq are not dumb, they will not bring back Maliki in power.
Neither will Sistani nor will Sadr support Maliki in this case. There is more than seems to the eye. It has nothing to do with Maliki reaching out to the Sunnis. His own ex-VP is is AWAL in Turkey, who is a wolf in sheep clothing and wanted back in Iraq for bombings.
Don’t buy the MSM, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and USA propaganda that Maliki is not reaching out to the Sunnis.
Best regards,
Mohamed.
Thank you Mohamed for giving us some inside Iraq perspective and how why always hear America must accomodate Sunni concerns thanks to power visible and invisible of Saudi/Qatar lobbies, which are joined at the hip with ‘pro-Israel’ neocons who never seemed worried that the liver eaters of Syria might attack the Israel-held Golan Heights….
I wasn’t sure if you were aware of this, but there were allegations made here in the USA by a former FBI agent that John Brennan the current CIA director not only became extremely close to the House of Saud while he was station chief in Riyadh, but that he actually converted to Wahhabism.
A great deal of effort has gone into ‘debunking’ this claim. While I cannot verify it, it’s interesting how the Google results turn up articles favorable to Brennan. Of course Brennan also managed to escape the blame for the debacle at Benghazi in which CIA was not so covertly smuggling massive quantities of Gaddafi’s arms to Syria from E. Libya:
There are former CIA officers like Clare Lopez who will allege Obama ‘switched sides in the war on terror’ and starting aligning with the takfiris against Iran in Syria and elsewhere after the Arab Spring in Egypt and the Libya operation plus the failed false flag in Syria. But they will not criticize former colleagues in CIA for hiding the truth of what they know about the arms smuggling to the takfiris in Syria including ISIS, they prefer to blame everything on Obama and indeed the ‘Deep State’ here in America seems poised to dump Obama either by forced resignation in favor of President Biden or more likely just rendering Obama a total lame duck who does nothing but play golf and watch ESPN all day while the real powerbrokers run things:

Health conscious, indeed!
(“And if I laugh at any mortal thing,
‘Tis that I may not cry”)
Dear Mindfriedo,
Thanks a lot for your hard work.
Both Iraq and Iran has suffered a lot in the past. Remember the Mongol invasions.
My question is do the people in these countries have in them to eventually triumph whatever their adversaries throw at them ?
Take care
Debanjan
What is happening in Iraq today was anticipated in a 2007 Seymour Hersh article titled “The Redirection.” Author Tony Cartalucci gives a great summary of the piece in his own article. He says:
“‘The Redirection,’ documents…US, Saudi, and Israeli intentions to create and deploy sectarian extremists region-wide to confront Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hersh would note that these ‘sectarian extremists’ were either tied to Al Qaeda, or Al Qaeda itself. The ISIS army moving toward Baghdad is the final manifestation of this conspiracy, a standing army operating with impunity, threatening to topple the Syrian government, purge pro-Iranian forces in Iraq, and even threatening Iran itself by building a bridge from Al Qaeda’s NATO safe havens in Turkey, across northern Iraq, and up to Iran’s borders directly…
“It is a defacto re-invasion of Iraq by Western interests — but this time without Western forces directly participating — rather a proxy force the West is desperately attempting to disavow any knowledge of or any connection to.”

@Debanjan, concerning the Mongol Invasion
The Mongols were not as negative as they are made out to be. They appreciated education, skills, learning. These were the people they spared after every city they conquered. They hated oligarchs, the kind of people they executed after every city they conquered.
They are credited with introducing the postal system, diplomatic protocol, and silken underwear (just kidding-they used it for protection against arrows). They promoted trade, military technology, science, written records, etc etc etc

Dearest Ameriki,
Where to start. Dubya replaced Islam as American Enemy after the Cold War. Thus, more than 1 Billion People who are in every country become The Enemy. Every country suddenly was threatened by an Internal Enemy and as well as an External Enemy.
People had too much hope on Obama, but I never did. However, in my view he is a changed man now. For the Empire’s Survival, he is now in Cahoots with Putin. Thus, he has already given Crimea to Putin on a Silver Platter and will do according to Putin’s Wishes on Ukraine too.
01. During Iraq War vote, Obama hid in the Bathroom.
02. During the Democratic Primaries in 2008 Hilary was the front runner. How Obama got it boggles the mind.
03. During the Democratic Primaries in 2008, Obama kept on blaming Hilary that she voted for Iraq War, she never once reminded the Voters, that he hid in the Bathroom during the Critical movement of Voting.
04. He started his Presidency by apologizing to Iran and giving a speech in Egypt about democracy.
05. He soon abandoned both Iran and His Democratic Aspirations for the Middle East.
06. His first term was a continuation of the Bush Presidency.
07. Even after that, Netanyahu kept on lecturing him every year like a small school boy, in the White House in the USA.
08. At the end of his first term, he had a blow back in Benghazi, Libya.
09. He assembled a new team for his second term. For Chuck Hagel to become the Defense Secretary, he had to get the approval of Israel and Netanyahu.
10. Soon the Qatar Ruler made his son the Ruler.
11. The Syria File was then given to Saudi Arabia. There was a Saran Gas blow back.
12. Prince Bandar Bush became history.
13. The True Face of the “Liver Eaters” was shown to World. Muslims are Good, even Bashar al-Assad is Good too. It is the “Liver Eaters” who are Bad.
14. Bashar al-Assad won another 7 years term and he uprooted with the help of Hezbollah the “Liver Eaters”.
15. Both Iran and Hezbollah are now in favor. Right now there are negotiation going on with Iran, with William Burns leading the team.
16. Suddenly AIPAC is History. Netanyahu is fighting for his Political Life. Suddenly, he is again busy and coming back by raiding the Palestinians homes.
17. Netanyahu is busy and care less what is going on around him. Eric Cantor the House Majority Ruler even lost too.
18. The uprooting of the “Liver Eaters” have started in Iraq, along with the Saddamist Sunnis. Everybody is on board, but I am not sure of Turkey.
19. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a hard man to predict. He is very popular but having lots of problems. It appears that he is 75% on board, but one cannot be sure of him.
20. Obama claims that he has no Intelligence on Iraq. Where is CENTCOM (Central Command USA) located? Where is Fifth Fleet located? How big the Embassy is in Iraq?
