The President of Iran is in Moscow and offered Putin to unite against the collective West.
Russia has sent forces to Belarus for training. These forces will include several combined arms brigades and a full regiment of Su-35S. The date for the exercises is Feb 10th.
Lukashenko welcomed back his peacekeepers with a very good speech explaining that Belarus and Russia will always come to each other’s aide.

LDNR officials have declared that their intelligence service has confirmed that Urkonazi special forces, trained and prepared by the UK, are preparing terrorist attacks in the LDNR. An LDNR military spokesman said that the Urkonazis have six terrorist groups ready to attack the civilian infrastructure (water, energy, transportation, chemical plants, etc.) in the LDNR. The point would be to create chaos and fear, making the defense of the LDNR for the LDNR forces much harder.

Despite the contemptuous dismissal of Russia’s requests for security guarantees from US/NATO, the Russians say that they will wait for a formal, written response before acting. I have always believed that the way the Russians conduct diplomacy makes them look weak to the West and to the wider world.
Having said that, I’m convinced that the goal of the US and their allies is to trigger a war between the fraternal nations of Russia and Ukraine. A war between these two nations would be a tragedy of monumental proportions as this would cement enmity and hatred between Russia and Ukraine for generations. I feel it is essential that the Russians prevent a military conflict with Ukraine at all cost. Surely it must be within the realm of Russian covert capabilities to influence events in Ukraine without overt military action. Maybe Russia could partner with sane forces in Ukraine in order to orchestrate some form of “regime change” in Kyiv (or Kiev, if you prefer).
US reps are of course not crazy or stupid – never underestimate them. They are subverting diplomacy on purpose – after all what they want is a world where force rules.
I wonder if the chemical weapons brought in by US mercenaries that Shoigu brought attention to will come into play. I could see Ukrainian terrorists staging a provocation in the Donbass, followed by Russian airstrikes…and then a repeat play of Syria. The Ukrainians stage a chemical weapon attack on their own people and blame Russia.

The diplomats have not been talking past each other. This were nitty-gritty talks. 2. I am beginning to believe that the US under the pressure of the media, democratic party base,some NATO nations, and gop Russophobic leadership will impose sanctions regardless of how Russia acts or decides. Personally, I believe Putin had no intention of invading whatever that means in the West. This is beginning to look like the Sicilian Expedition of the Athenians for the West.
So the US doesn’t care about minor incursions and will cause NATO to fight among themselves. What’s not to like from the Russian point of view. Don’t analyze too much what Biden says, he doesn’t understand what he says.
I don’t understand the sudden hawkishness about Ukraine, is it because the pandemic panic is dying down, they need a new crisis to either carry out the great reset, or to distract from Biden’s failings.
