Border still not sealed Turk-Syria.

Ankara Ready to Close Its Border with Syria
Turkey is already mulling the possibility of closing its border with Syria, amid the ongoing diplomatic fence-mending between Moscow and Ankara, according to the Russian newspaper Izvestia.
The Izvestia newspaper quoted the deputy head of the Russian Lower House’s Defense Committee as saying that during a recent session of the joint Russian-Turkish commission, Moscow specifically stressed the necessity of closing the Turkish-Syrian border.
Viktor Vodolatsky said that the August 11 session was a continuation of Tuesday’s dialogue in St. Petersburg between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The United States has urged Ukraine and Russia to show restraint after Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko deployed all forces near Crimea apparently in preparation for a confrontation with Moscow.
The US State Department said on Thursday that “Crimea is part of Ukraine,” after Poroshenko ordered all Ukrainian army units near Crimea and in the eastern Donbass region to stand at the highest level of combat readiness.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved his close ally and powerful chief of staff Sergei Ivanov from his duties in the most high-profile power reshuffle at the Kremlin in several years.
Putin is tightening the team ( a cabinet on war footing is different from a peace time cabinet):
http://theduran.com/in-shock-august-reshuffle-vladimir-putin-replaces-his-chief-of-staff/
Hopefully that is so. But my understanding was that Ivanov was one of the most anti-West people he had around him. If that is true. This move is not a good sign at all.
The important thing – he retains his post on the security council. Putin may be shuffling people round in preparation for getting rid of Atlanticists……there is always a method and reason to what he does or maybe Ivanov just didnt want to do the role anymore….
“…my understanding was that Ivanov was one of the most anti-West people he had around him.”
I had any understanding at all about him, but really liked this gentleman, and, for the style chosen when he was representing the Presidency in important events in the Russian Federation, I had always had the feeling that, he is so, really anti-West, if not, a bit soviet?….. :D
Well, he seems to be a good and trustfull person.
The appointment of Mr. Vayno, could well be a tendency to replacement of old guard with a new generation, which started with the appointment of Mr. Babich as Ambassador to the Ukraine, who was then rejected by the Ukronazi junta, obviously, because as they were planning the last terrorist attacks in Donbass and Krimea, they could not afford themselves having a KGB/FSB/Spetznaz senior haunting around Kiev.
http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/52691
But, on the other hand, also could well be that Mr. Ivanov must be relieved from some tasks in order to take over of other important issues. Do not forget that he has a good background in foreign intelligence service. Mr. Mercouris in his analysis of this event, is saying that this is a demotion because the Ministry of Environment and Transports is of much less imortance than his former post. I do not agree, because if the situation is of all out war, as the events are making increasingly clear, environment and transports are very important areas to cover and take care, mainly if the danger could well be nuclear or biological.
Just a few days ago there was an Antrax epidemic outbreak in Siberia region, which seemed to be of animal origin ( reindeers ), but we know that our “partners” are capable of anything.
Just finished reading Mr. Humor´s SitRep on the Ukro terrorist attacks in Krimea and could see that they were planning to bomb, well, airports and highways….
And just two days after knowing this Mr. Ivanov, a man who counts with all the trust of the President is appointed to Ministry of Environment and Transports….

Oh, wait….
That’s an excellent point Fatima Manoubia – thanks for putting that 2+2 together. Ivanov is one of the most capable men in the Russian security apparatus. People should read the actual Russian publication of the meeting between Putin, Ivanov, and Vaino, his long-groomed successor, in order to understand. Ivanov volunteered in the first place for the role, and he became the longest serving Chief of Staff. He’s moving onto other things – and Fatima makes a connection that seems very plausible to me.
Meeting with Sergei Ivanov and Anton Vaino
Ivanov’s replacement will serve Putin well. Putin has just doubled his strength of trusted operatives in key positions.
Bingo !!
I saw nothing ‘sinister’ in this so-called ‘demotion’ of Ivanov either, though I am surprised the replacement is an Estonian.
AM is great at the kind of analysis that is typical of ‘outsiders’, h owever well-disposed and connected to Rus. But he doesn’t have the real insights that come from ‘inner circles.’
No one does.
There’s a good reason for that.
There is a chance as well that Putin and Ivanov had argument over killed FSB agent in Crimea, Soft approach against Hard. They’re still very good friends most likely but when you have two men with 2 views it is hard to cooperate.
The same thing, as I know, Ivanov was a good player in the Putin team, what are the real causes is unclear yet, maybe later we will know more about that, but still, this decision is very confusing. Above all, Putin is the greatest player. I heard something like the Ministry of the Environment will be Ivanov’s new office. But why ? and who will replace him ? Man, I’m a bit confused, with my mind getting used. I don’t like to play chess, but others here like it, I guess.
This Olympics needs to be the last one. The Western insults as revealed today by the Russian team is quickly reaching the “point of no return”. And its time Russians responded. The next time one of their team gets insulted they need to “let their hands do the talking”. And smash the one insulting them. As I said before, they don’t have to love you. But they darn well need to fear insulting you.A broke nose and fat lip, teaches a bully “real quick” to keep their insults to themselves.
The image above is black and white, a contrast, the same contrast is there with the folks, a happy just married couple, a man smiling and another man, a worker, looking tired in this atmosphere of the happy Cafe. The worker knows something which the others don’t, yet, but later :
Kings and Emperor
Once upon a time and space
Kings and Emperor show face
Taking on a huge endevor
They decided in their favor
For the peace or for the war
That is why they meeting for.
What comes out from their head
Has a very common name: Death
Don’t you know who’re the Kings ?
Those who belong to their Rings.
And who is the famous Emperor ?
Him, who is the King of Terror.
They’ve committed with a reason
The world biggest act of Treason
You wrote a wonderful, moving work of poetry. I appreciate it.
Many thanks for your appreciation !
The sooty guy with the beret is Koba, when apprenticed in Tblisi railways, taking note of the great life that idle aristocrats and bourgeois were enjoying while he and his comrades lived in misery despite the many hours of working, and so, thinking of how to organize the coming Bolshevik Revolution……

Well, comrades, meet you there! At “Suliko”!

Yes, you’re right, the worker guy looks like Stalin indeed. Many thanks for the link with Suliko, very fine music, I took the time and listen to other variations of the same song which is very beautiful and offered it for everyone.
This was the favourite song of comrade Stalin, “Koba” for comrades…..
Yes, it happens that that “fiend”also had a heart, despite the efforts of the US and their ñlackeys in the West and East 5th column in painting him as a beast.
You’re right.
And what a beautiful song…Suliko….just exquisite.
Thanks m
@ PU
Thank you comrade for reminding us of Stalin (Koba) and the great achievements of the Soviet peoples under his leadership – an achievement unparalleled in human history.
And Suliko, with its calm, haunting beauty symbolises the indomitable strength of the human spirit against the evil forces of capitalism (in Koba’s days called fascism) who are once again on the march to crush humanity.
Excellent .
Every kid should learn it :-)

It’s been reported that President Putin’s Chief of Staff, Sergei Ivanov has requested he be allowed to step down from his post after serving the Putin administration for more than 4 years (see: http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/52691 ).
My question to the vineyard is this: Could this have been done in preparation for a future shuffling of the current Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, who will be “encouraged” to step down and Mr. Ivanov chosen to assume his office, I wonder?
This has been moved to the MFC where discussions are already taking place on this topic. Mod
Instead of a demotion, is it not possible that Mr. Ivanov has been given a supervisory role in the Russian contribution to the “New Silk Road” infrastructure development projects that will integrate the Eurasian Economic Union with China.
If so, perhaps this appointment of Pres. Putin’s loyal ally demonstrates Russia’s commitment to the growing economic, political and military relationship between the RF and PRC, and the role it will play in the very near future in relations, if not a showdown, between the East and West.
Considering that the article was written by Mr. Mercouris, who has written extensively on the Silk Road projects, I am surprised that this possibility was not addressed by him, one way or the other.
Yes! Most probably, in fact M. Ivanov leaded important encounters with Chinese delegations….I have not thought of this.
Good point, JiminNH
I like Mercouris very much, but I think on this one he jumped from the wrong foot. He assumes it’s a demotion, when really all the fundamentals suggest that Ivanov is one the most IN-dispensable people on Putin’s team.
It’s a promotion – or would be, if Putin or Ivanov thought in such terms, but they don’t. They are brothers in arms, two KGB men devoted body and soul to the welfare of the people and the nation. Both of them will do whatever is most useful.
I really appreciate the ideas here – from Fatima, that transport and environment are key areas to harden for security. And yours, JiminNH, that it has more to do with the Silk Road integration – it’s true, as Fatima says that Ivanov was early excited by the Chinese connection, he sees the immense value of this. And also PokeTheTruth’s, that it could be a preparation to move Ivanov into a more political space, to become Putin’s Prime Minister for the next term.
I don’t think Ivanov would want to be Prime Minister – except, these two people will do whatever is the maximum good for Russia. If he became PM, it would only be because Putin had plans in mind. It would signal immense internal changes (with the central bank for sure). But I kind of doubt it. I think he will do useful work wherever he goes, and be ready to serve anywhere.
It may be as simple as this: he served his term well and groomed a successor who will protect and serve Putin equally well. Now he gets a more relaxed job, doing useful work while he stays on the Security Council as one of the most valued team members of Russia’s leadership. He’s either taking a breather or ramping up to a new challenge, but either way he remains always in the service of Mother Russia.
Coming back from the article about the Statement from FM of Russia, I read a comment made by Anonymous at August 12, 2016 at 7:35 am UTC. which is the following put in verses :
Before they terminate me
Before they terminate me, whoever they use to be
Aliens, devils or just simply gangsters,
I don’t care who are their real masters
I will kick their human slaves in their ass
They won’t get me before paying a price
I hate fights and avoid quarrel,
I hate to live under gun barrel.
Before they terminate me, whoever they use to be
And I get stuck in a corner with enemies round me
I go mad, like a stray cat and I fight that bloody rat
We all should do the same
Know, who plays the game
If this mass extermination thing ever came to pass
All options shall be on the table for the ruling class
Science-fiction stories with aliens, gods or demons
And if they are real and acting against our freedoms
By ruling the world are all-too-apt
And discourage us from the react
Before they terminate me, whoever they use to be
They have to know, I’m not alone fighting for liberty
Taking our fate in our own hands
Our destiny and defend our rights.
My cat, who shows no signs of space lizard genes,
Shares my opinion in fight against the ugly beings…
Fantastic, ioan. Keep the verses coming! You’re very encouraging and inspiring.

Your prose is masterful and delightful. Goes down well with a double ristretto flat white – extra hot of course – is still cold down here.
Well folks, without your inspiring and good comments which came from your heart, I would probably let down my pen. Great feeling having you all here as a great family in the Vineyard of The Saker and a great honor for me to be part of this family.
You really are inspired these days Ioan.

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – US officials are discussing whether to respond to alleged Russian-backed computer breaches of Democratic Party organizations with economic sanctions against Moscow.
Levying sanctions would require the White House to publicly accuse Russia, or Russian-backed hackers, of committing the breach and then leaking embarrassing information, The Wall Street Journal reported.
http://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2016/08/12/1155917/us-considers-more-sanctions-against-russia
Frankly, by now even the most pro-western Russians have lost any illusions about what to expect from the West. The Ukies send a sabotage team into Crimea and when Putin says that it makes no sense to negotiate about Minsk-2 while the Urkonazis are busy sending saboteurs into Crimea the West then blames *Putin* for “seeking a pretext to back out of Minsk-2” nevermind that Russia is not even a part to this treaty, and nevermind that the ones who have never implemented even the first few points of Minsk-2 are the Ukies.
If tomorrow the Ukronazis begin shelling Crimea the Russians will be blamed for organizing a “provocation” and “seeking a pretext” to fire at the Ukies.
Again, I personally *welcome* all these anti-Russian steps as they do more to counter-act the western propaganda than anything the Kremlin could do. As long as in Russia the words “West” and, especially, “USA” are synonymous with absolute and utter hypocrisy no “color revolution” can happen.

EU vows to back Kiev amid escalating tensions Russia over Crimea
http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2016/08/13/479777/EU-Russia-Ukraine-Crimea-Federica-Mogherini-Pavlo-Klimkin
The European Union has vowed continued support for Ukraine amid growing tensions between Kiev and Moscow around the Crimean Peninsula.
EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini reiterated the bloc’s “unwavering” support for Ukraine’s sovereignty on Friday while calling on the country and neighboring Russia to avert further escalation of tensions.
Federica Mogherini believes in the ‘sovereignty’ of failed EU colonies. Sometimes even the Eurocrats are funny. OK, how much money for the ‘sovereignty’ of a Nazi protectorate? Judging by the ‘unwavering’ stance on display here, the apes formally in charge of Ukroland will be lining their pockets handsomely. Crimea is gone forever, period.
What all this proves is not just the plain, utter bankruptcy of all things West; it also proves that Russia and the people of Crimea hit the beast right in solar plexus. In hindsight, turning Crimea and the entire Black Sea into a NATO lake and hence Russia into all but entirely land-locked in the south and west stands out as the very key objective of the Maidan Nazi putsch. Let them yell and bark about the ‘annexation’ — it’s always comforting and highly pleasurable whenever the spokespeople of Western imperialism display some real pain and frustration, mind you.
Here is an “interesting” tidbit from RT,on the Clinton’s income sources:
“After resigning from the State Department in February 2013, Clinton went on the speaking circuit, charging $225,000 or more per appearance. Among the hosting organizations named in the documents were the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, and the International Deli-Dairy Bakery Association, but the former top diplomat also gave three speeches to investment giant Goldman Sachs. Clinton has refused to release the transcripts of those speeches.”
Wow,”who” would have thought that the ” National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, and the International Deli-Dairy Bakery Association,” would be wanting to pay $225.000 or more, for a “speech” by the former US Sec of State. Just what in her “duties” as SOS would be that “important” for them to pony up that kind of money to hear about. And secondly, who even knew “associations” like that even existed,”Deli-Dairy Bakery Assoc”,really, geez
Now if “I” was the suspicious type,”perish the thought”. I might think those sounded like fronts for some oligarchs to use to pass bribes through. But “surely” that would be just a “conspiracy theory” on my part to think that, hmmm.

Its not about the content of the speech though, which is likely to be the usual corporate positive thinking spiel. What these business associations are paying for is access to/influence with someone close to the levers of power. That’s how the graft gets a clean, shiny finish and it happens across the board in the ‘democratic’ west.
Tony Blair has made £60 million since leaving office just making speeches and ‘giving advice.’
The way I see societies and people, is that the “vast” majority “do not” care who rules them as long as their “needs” and at least some of their “wants” are met.Its only when denied their “wants” that they become restless. And if then denied their “needs” they become rebellious. The West up until now has balanced that out “fairly” well. They have only denied people “some” of their wants, and “usually” allowed the majority at least their needs. Today, the “wants” of the 1% and the ruling elite that serve them,is deeply cutting into both the wants and the needs of the peoples of the countries in the West. The elites are beginning to see that looting the other parts of the World just isn’t enough for them to fulfill all their “wants”.And that they must take from their own nations populace to keep their lifestyle going up ever higher. They also know that to lessen the need for that, the only areas left to loot for their benefit are Russia,China, and Iran. The wealth generated by that looting would keep them in comfort for a long while. And lesson the need to loot their own nations more. Thus lessening the fear of their own populace turning on them.Hence the almost open warfare on those nations that we see today. And the attempts at color revolutions, and terrorist attacks to destroy them. Some in the future “victim” countries, are aware of what is happening. But there are also some (5th column) elements that would welcome the chance to join the Western elites themselves. And are quite willing to see their countries dismantled and looted if they can benefit personally from it (Ukraine being a perfect example of that). Its a continuing struggle to make sure that the local traitors fail in their efforts in those countries. And who will win out is still a very wide open question.
Having said that.I will now demonstrate how even years after the collapse of 1989 people in Eastern Europe see how mistaken they were to “throw the baby out with the bathwater”. Even after all the years of Western propaganda many people today see the truth:
” The people who have lived both under Socialism and Capitalism give their answer to the various bourgeois and petty bourgeois unhistorical slanders. Various polls in former Socialist countries prove that the majority of people, in Russia and Eastern Europe, think that life was better before the counter-revolutions and the restoration of Capitalism. Under Socialism their major problems had been solved: Free education, free healthcare for all, social security, jobs, free vacation and holidays for everyone, etc. The restoration of Capitalism brought an unprecedented barbarity in almost every sector of public life: Social inequalities, unemployment, privatization of major public sectors from healthcare to education, etc.
On March 2016, a survey conducted by the All-Russia Public Opinion Center (VTsIOM) showed that:
More than half of Russians (64%) would vote to maintain the Soviet Union if a referendum were held today. This figure increases from 47% among those 18-24 to 76% among respondents age 60 and more. Only 20% of Russian citizens would vote negatively for preserving the Soviet Union, according to the poll results.
During the same period (March 2016), a similar survey by the Levada Center Survey in Russia showed that:
More than half (51%) of the Russians said that the collapse of the Soviet Union could have been avoided.
– More than half (56%) of the Russians regret the collapse of the USSR (in fact, the victory of counter-revolution).
– The majority of the participants in the survey (58%) said that they would welcome the revival of the Soviet Union and the socialist system.
Polls conducted in the previous years have produced similar results. A survey by the Russia’s Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) back in 2013, showed that 60% of Russians think that the life in the Soviet Union had more positive than negative aspects. Furthermore, in the same poll, 43% of the respondents would welcome the re-adoption of communist ideology, while 38% were not happy about such a perspective.
While reading the above, we must take into account the powerful anti-communist propaganda of the last two decades, the slanders and lies against the socialist system by the bourgeois media and political parties. ”
“On June 2009, a survey conducted in Germany showed that 57% of eastern Germans defend the German Democratic Republic (GDR). Of those polled, 49% said “The GDR had more good sides than bad sides. There were some problems, but life was good there.” The poll was reported on Spiegel Online (which, however, tried to vilify GDR with anti-communist lies) and consists a proof that, according to historian Stefan Wolle, “a new form of Ostalgie has taken shape”.
“In a July 2010 IRES (Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy) poll, according to which 41% of the respondents would have voted for Ceausescu, had he run for the position of president. And 63% of the survey participants said their life was better during communism, while only 23% attested that their life was worse then. Some 68% declared that communism was a good idea, just one that had been poorly applied.
In a 2014 survey by the INSCOP Research poll revealed that 44.4 percent of the respondents believed that living conditions were better under communism.”
“According to a report by the Pew Research Center, on April 2010, 72% of Hungarians say that most people in their country are actually worse off today economically than they were under communism. Only 8% say most people in Hungary are better off, and 16% say things are about the same.”
http://communismgr.blogspot.ca/2016/08/life-was-better-under-communism-says.html
The pre-1989 Eastern European governments were able to fulfill the “needs” of their population. But neglected to consider the “wants factor” I spoke of. Because of that reason in particular they failed and were dissolved.Their enemies were able to promise to give the populace “wants as well as keeping their needs available”. After years,we’ve seen they were able to satisfy the “wants” of the elites in those countries. But they have destroyed the “needs” for the vast majority of people. But still the new power of propaganda pervasive in Eastern Europe and the ability for the people to flood Western Europe for a better life has kept the lid on popular discontent.
Very good comment Uncle Bob 1, I can only back it. Having the experience of living under the both systems I know the difference, I know the bright sides and the dark sides but putting it all together in a balance, the end result is what the polls you referred to, shows. And that, after 26 years of reborn capitalism ( in the East, showing her ugliest face by the way ) After the destruction of ww2 it took only 15 years to rebuild the countries and offer a stable and decent life for everyone, after the fall of Soviet Union and the entire Eastern socialism, it took 26 years to have less social welfare than after ww2, never mind of the inequalities and mass emigration due to poverty and unemployment, leading to massive negative birth rates, death growth of mid-aged people, thus less and less populace, workforce, to sustain the economy and the social programs. Today, the eastern European countries rely almost entirely on the financial founding of the common EU.
Thanks for your comment. This is indeed the reality for despair of Tsarism nostalgics.
I only wonder why have you never pointed this facts before, when communism has been so many times attacked to demolition in this blog, so many blatant lies about it written, and its major defenders wiped out.
I’ve done it earlier when I had the time and gut for this, probably you missed it.
The “wants” of the current 1% in Russia has resulted in greater pillage by those Russians on the 99% balance of Russians than the 1% of “the West” that you refer to.
I don’t deny that. The Russian elite “embraced”,nay, they “shape-shifted” into the very worse habits of the Western elite. They are still not fully under control yet. But,unlike in the West. The Russian government tries/is trying to bring them under control. While the Western regimes,”are them”,and there is no control,or attempts at it. It even seems that the Western elite looked at the “pre-Putin” Russian elite. And saw them as a “role model” to which they hope to “out do” in the future. The current Russian government is also making “some” efforts to restore the “needs” of their people that were loss over the 1990’s. Its very hard ,which the West and their elite friends in the Russian 5th column ,make even harder. But at least they do try. While in the West ,they are busy little by little eliminating all the structures created to help their people with their needs. And by encouraging the flood of immigrants for cheap labor. To undermine any chances to stop them from holding power.By even “abolishing” the ethnic identity of their nations. Trying to create an elite driven globalization throughout.
(side-note: That didn’t just start in the last couple of years with this new immigrant flood to Europe. It started as early as the 1960’s in the US. And the 1970’s and 1980’s in Europe (if not even before). It picked up a lot in the 1990’s.And by this new millennium it has exploded to top speed. When it started I doubt it was a conscious plan.It was the elite doing what they do best, trying to cut labor costs with cheap labor, without a thought for their population. When they began to see how well it worked for them. And wanting to make it permanent and expand it. Then there may have actually been a plan created. I remember when all that started, the “temporary” allowance of foreign workers was “supposed” to benefit the nations of Europe. And those nations they came from. Since, “when they returned” they would bring modern work skills they learned in Europe and North America back to their home countries” . But the “returning part” wasn’t given much ,or even any thought, by the corporations that brought them in,nor the regimes in power that permitted them to.)
The Russian government is ideologically Capitalist. As in the West the Russian Government is ultimately controlled by Corporations for the interest of the elite. The results of that policy are transparent in the increased rate of pillage since the dissolution of the USSR.
The old “Government is trying to bring them under control” has worn too thin to be credible – some would say the October 1917 was a coup d’etat, an illegal power grab carried out by a small group of radicals with no legitimate authority or popular support.
If the current Government really wanted to do the “right thing” we can safely assume it would be fairly straightforward to implement (the IRES figures you quote earlier perhaps suggest more of the people would now be in favour of that than in 1917).
@ Anonymous – somone who sadly doesn’t know what they are talking about. I would suggest you read and digest all the articles that the Saker has written in regard to what goes on in the Russian Government. Nothing is straight forward or easy. The A/Z’s with the help of Gorbachev and Yeltsin bought “Western Capitalism” to Russia and individuals like Putin are slowly but surely trying to unravel the mess. He is up against the pro-West Atlanticists in the Government.
I think you try to spread disinfo – though your two comments show a complete lack of understanding or in depth knowledge of the situation. You must be based in the “West”.
I think that in any bureaucratic organization, in addition to the way things work— read corruption– there is to varying degrees, vestigial awareness of the common good. This awareness along with social cohesion, determines the robustness of a civilization. This is my attempt to put into words how I think things are going. But maybe the idea is better expressed by the saying: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Being meek means not trying to overextend oneself by trying to micromanage the planet though color revolutions, assassinations, trade blocks, and public relations virtuosity. Somewhere in this mix are the actions of individuals, and in order to rise to the top, people are tempted to forfeit their souls
While in the West ,they are busy little by little eliminating all the structures created to help their people with their needs.
Reading both ioan and your comments uncle bob 1, the common theme is that conditions for ordinary people in both east and west has deteriorated since the collapse of the Soviet Union. More so in the east – ex Soviet Union as their political system collapsed, more slowly in the west as it is occurring under the illusion of democracy.
Peter AU, your observation is correct – the “multi-polar” world as presently conceived makes no difference for the ordinary people.
The real solution is for a fight against Capitalism.
If the Russian Government really cared about it’s people (all people) it would declare the dissolution of the USSR as invalid

The collapsing of the Soviet Union, yes, indeed, that’s why is so hard to defend nowadays the Communist ideology, it’s a continuous target for propaganda. And it even wasn’t yet communism, it was just the construction, the way, to get to the communism. Probably it could never be achieved at the level at which initially was meant to be. Anyway, the system had made a very good progress in the right direction in all sectors of the society, of the states which took part in this venture. The main leading principle being the equality of peoples and their rights to live decently in a society in which they participate actively for the common prosper. The negative aspect which contributed to the destruction of that system was treason, enacted by the high political leaders. They have persuaded continuously and very systematic, the “softening” of the leading ideology in the given countries, each one being “treated” accordingly with their specific national situation. The minorities have played here also a specific role, as we see today and in the recent history ( Yugoslavia, former Soviet states, etc – Ukraine now) But the main target has been everywhere the young generation.By introduction of western doctrines, the western way of life, the american dream, from early cowboys till the Ewing family showed in TV-series – a pure capitalist propaganda film which today would be laughable. Then the treason has gone forth with the premeditate lying in the statistics in the most vulnerable sectors. The biggest problem was the belief in the western-american financial institutions, which made the end to come even closer. This history is in fact very complex and very tragic. But the main reason is Treason. Since the collapse of the Eastern Bloc, those countries have been subjected to systematic robbery of their wealth from the west, which is continuing till today. The current leaders of these states, know very well the truth, but they are subjects of the same apparatus now. They are afraid to loose power against a new system based on other principles like Putin wants. And not just him but many on this planet. The eastern European leaders will go till the end, in order to preserve the current staus-quo, but when the time for change shall come, some of these leaders will commit again treason, now against their actual masters – they will change sides, as usual for such beings ( I can’t even say they are humans). Of course they are afraid to be judged by their countryman. But that judgment will come sooner or later – but better sooner. This story of the communism has been mishandled, misinterpreted, misjudged and misunderstood by many.
Waitress,
Are you taking us through a time machine where we could share the agony of Koba who is witnessing in the cafeteria the enjoyment and abundance of the aristocracy in a reflective mood (about how most of the common people lack even two square meals a day at the same time when the elites indulge in finer aspects of life) ?
Please serve me a strong cappuccino…
Now a days l’m unable to add up things – very similar to what ioan noted – i’m a bit confused about how the Eurasian Resistance is taking shape. If Russia is not shaping up as it should, then Eurasian Resistance will remain a dream only.
Yes, failed coup in Turkey is a boon for Russia so far as geopolitical equation is concerned. Turkey will be benefitted much more in terms of economics (compared to Russia, who only got long-term ‘economic prizes’ in south stream and nuclear power plants). However, there are few key points which nobody is addressing – what if Erdogan negotiate with AngloZionists over the 70+ nukes in Incirlik airbase (and resume fighting against Russian interests in Syria, Ukraine, Caucasus) ? what if EU agrees to Erdogan’s proposition of free movement of Turkish national within EU, and Erdogan clandestinely continue abating Wahabi terrorists ? how Russian interests can be protected if within 6 months Erdogan gets physically eliminated by USA/NATO ?
Then there is the ‘eternal’ question of 5th column activism within Russia – how President Putin will handle that ubiquitous influence of AngloZionist puppets in every sphere of society in Russia ? Particularly, with removal (if, it is so) of Ivanov, the hold of Putin’s trusted group over ‘Executive’ part of the ‘state governance’ will be weaker (as I feel) ? Or, is it that Putin wants to fast track the next level of leadership in Russia ? If so, then Medvedev should be fired first !
I will continue to dream if Koba comes back again, albeit with a different name. The world is immersed in so much of filth that can only be removed by peoples’ leader similar to Stalin and Mao – seems absurd ? May be, may not be !
Ha,ha, if that time machine could be available, I would buy it a soon as possible and at first go back and repair my mistakes done in the past. Probably many of us would do that, even Koba. But remaining in the reality, we are done in such a way that we learn by experience and the sad thing is that we learn slow, only after burning our fingers. In a larger, political context, these learning have a much greater impact being seen later as history. As we know, history is playing with large numbers, the drama of some simply individuals plays no role, they just disappear in the numbers, sad, but true.
Waitress ! give me something against sadness please… after such a learning tease.

I have not looked at the Jewish owned/run western msm (the zio-gay media) , but I expect they are claiming their usual faggotry that the Russians did it. If this doubtful hack ever occured at all, one can be certain that Russian cyber security professionals would not leave any traces and Russian intelligence would certainly know where that zionazi cow is located and would have no need to hack her emails. BTW, note the “bitchbrows” on stepanova, same as the femen white trash nazis. Coincidence? Probably not, these greedy white trash critters are pretty much cut from the same cloth.
Next, while the zio-gay subhumans pulled every puppet string their grasping fore-digits could manage to grab, they initially were unable to get one Russian track athelete banned. Solo calls victorious Sweden ‘bunch of cowards’ after US ousted from Olympic soccer tournament

This is why I don’t cheer for american atheletes at international meets, there are always pindo a$$holes like solo acting out their adolescent pouts. I’m wondering if that is part of the criteria american atheletes must pass to get selected? It’s obviously a trait selected for in pindoland, since one does not see this childish unsportsmanlike behaviour in other nationals anywhere to the degree that is exhibited by americans. I suspect the same adolescence prevails among those who select the athletes in the usa. Sports does tend to bring out some of the worst in americans and if the sleazy way “professional” sports are run in the usa are any indication, those same failings probably are just as prevalent among pindo so-called amateur sports management.

WikiLeaks, Hillary-Gulen Intimate Ties & How Clintons Gave Birth to Mullah Gulen’s Terrorist Network
In this episode of Spotlight with Sibel and Spiro we discuss the notorious USA-based Mullah Fethullah Gulen and Operation Gladio B in light of Wikileaks’ recent announcement that they plan to release a new batch of e-mails exposing the intimate ties between Hillary Clinton and Gulen’s 25+ Billion shady network. Sibel Edmonds explains how Fethullah Gulen was brought into the United States during the Clinton Administration, and how Bill Clinton’s White House, the State Department and the Justice Department’s Janet Reno provided the infamous mullah and his terrorism-heroin operations with blanket immunity and protection.
“Today, with hilarious shamelessness, the terrorist websites tried their best to provoke those who know better by kiting this myth: the Jaysh Al-Fath has effectively cut off the route at Atharyaa-Khanaasser close to the Gazelle Sanctuary (Mahmiyyat Al-Ghizlaan) as of this last Thursday. But, it turned out to be another falsehood whose origin my sources tell me is Britain’s laureled Department of Mass Mythology at the MI6 HQ in London. It never happened and, in point of fact, the road is reportedly filled with traffic going to and fro without the slightest provocation or impediment. The lie was first kited by the Syrian Observatory which receives its orders from the same MI6 gang of degenerates operating in London. ”

As they said ,this is a very sophisticated attack, and is working. If they aren’t able to overcome it easily. Then we may see that type of attack used on all the pro-Russian sites over the next months. The US?,seems to have found,at least for now,a new weapon to silence dissent. And I don’t doubt they will use it against more sites than just RT.

Yemeni Popular Forces Capture Saudi Arabia’s Najran City
TEHRAN (FNA)- Saudi whistleblower Mujtahid, who is believed to be a member of or have a well-connected source in the royal family, disclosed that the Yemeni forces have made considerable military gains in Najran province and captured the provincial capital.
“The Yemeni army and popular forces have entered the city of Najran and the city has fallen under their control without any resistance,” Mujtahid said.
He reiterated that the Yemeni army and Ansarullah fighters are now in full control of Najran city.
FNA claims it’s true, because they printed it first, then verified it since!

TEHRAN (FNA)- Renowned western and Arab media outlets and journalists confirmed that Russia had warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of an imminent coup by the army on July 15, a revelation that appeared in an FNA report last month.
A July 20 FNA report, quoting Rai Alyoum, revealed that Turkey’s President Erdogan had been alerted by Russia against an imminent army coup hours before it was initiated, and added that Erdogan asked his supporters to remain in the streets after receiving advice from Tehran.

As the saying goes about “truth in advertising”. I’ll admit that when I think of “Russia”, I think of a land that includes Belarus,Ukraine,Russia, and Kazakhstan. I don’t consider the present borders of Russia as “correct” or the natural borders. In the Western area, “ancient Rus” is the correct border. Here are a couple of my favorite Russian songs (with English subs available,go to settings for them). That show how patriotic Russians feel about the “Russian land”:

UN Authorizes Force of 4,000 Troops to S. Sudan
The UN Security Council on Friday authorized the deployment of a robust force of 4,000 troops to South Sudan after heavy fighting set back efforts to end the country’s devastating war.
The council adopted a US-drafted resolution that also threatened to impose an arms embargo on South Sudan if the government blocks the deployment.
Eleven countries in the 15-member council voted in favor of the resolution. China, Russia, Egypt and Venezuela abstained from the vote.

Criminal Probes of Clinton Foundation Despite Obama, DO
http://sputniknews.com/us/20160814/1044247463/fbi-investigation-clinton-foundation-corruption.html

According to the unnamed senior law enforcement official, the involvement of the U.S. Attorney’s Office “would be seen by agents as a positive development as prosecutors there are generally thought to be more aggressive than the career lawyers within the Department of Justice.”
Earlier this week it was revealed that the Obama administration rejected earlier requests from three FBI field offices that had hoped to open corruption cases involving the Clinton Foundation. The FBI asked the DOJ to open an investigation into a potential pay-for-play relationship between the State Department and the Clinton Foundation, which spends a very small fraction of its funds on actual charity work, but the DOJ wasn’t interested — saying it had tried and failed to probe the organization in 2015, according to media reports.”

The Chinese need for basic economic change is mistakenly forming new gigantic monopolies instead.
Monopolies that will more easily deform the whole Chines economy!Russia could change this mistaken direction easily by bringing in it’s own experts like Sergei Glazyev for one main one.
As Napoleon or another war leader stated: “Do not correct your enemies mistakes, celebrate them!”
As brother nations it is incumbent on Russia to help China honestly correct it’s present direction. They rightly trust one another. US leading the West will do everything to break up this trust, brotherhood!

“10 Things I Learned in Ghost Brigade”
http://www.fort-russ.com/2016/08/10-things-i-learned-in-ghost-brigade.html
“7. You must uphold your comrades and support their moral character. And they must similarly look out for you. This is only way to avoid human weaknesses in the service. If you put on the uniform of a soldier of the LPR or DPR, you have no right to many things — drinking alcohol, behaving arrogantly or cheeky, being abusive to peaceful people, behaving rudely. Only mutual support among the team ensures cohesion of the unit, steadfastness in battle and in daily service, efficiency in carrying out the tasks set by the command. The unit is a single living organism.”
Obviously, when fighting in the Ghost Brigade you have the advantage of being able to watch your comrades face to face every day and so, you have easier to trust people, but we can see that, even in this conditions, also doubts arise, as it is showed by point 9:
“9. If you have any questions or doubts, do not keep them to yourself. The result will be intrigue and gossip in the division. If something is not clear, it is better to go to the commander and ask rather than stir up your fellow fighters with personal suspicions. Sometimes the subconscious can give a picture that absolutely does not correspond to objective reality, but it can live in the subjective reality of the individual.”
I wonder then how it is that here some of us find it so difficult to bear with legitimate doubts who some others arise and run so fast to disqualify the commenter expressing them by namecalling or alluding to his ignorance and besides advising to take what one person says/write as a gospel…..
Don’t wonder on that Fatima, each person has his own views and if somebody feels her/his self offended, has the possibility to answer. But, in comparison to other blogs sites with comments, here is a decent conversation. We, all of us, are learning every time, and hopefully, in the right direction.
Probably because without any objective way of knowing , it boils down to individual perception.
I have seen many posters accuse other posters of being ‘agents’ – usually Zionist, but sometimes CIA. I never had an opinion myself.
My own posts on the Kurds – which varied depending on the sources, and which is a complex issue, with several competing agendas, themselves politically dissonant – has led to some accusations of ‘Israeli’ agendas. I could only smile at the absurdity of it.
It is all too easy to believe impressions are facts on the net – we don’t have anything else.
That said, some people are gifted with high-level intuition and pattern-detection. This enables them to detect subtle orientations not evident to most, even through text, and through a language that is not their first, and which they may not be at all fluent in.
I knew a Ukrainian woman who had that gift and her ‘detective’ sense was amazing: she was proven right a good 90% of the time.
I don’t have that gift myself, so I don’t detect ‘hidden agendas’ at the individual level. I think I have some aptitude at the political level – at least as far as motivation goes. But nothing special.
So I would say Fatima, go with your own ‘gut’ on these things. But bear in mind the possibility of confusion rather than disinformation, as well as the limits of those who do not have your perceptive/intuitive gifts.
The comment was related to the disqualification above by someone of an anonymous commenter who is expressing a legitimate opinion. I wonder, and will continue wondering every time I feel like to do it, if you do not mind, why is that some are not able to cope with these opinions different of theirs, and instead they prefer and try to apply their own and very personal censure…..
…they can try, but at the end of the day, they can’t control the blog.
So I wouldn’t worry about such attempts.
And isn’t it better they are exposed, rather than hidden anyway?
It’s not like you are not a capable challenger ;-)
None better :-)!!

To join 12,000 there already; that’s a huge number for such a small (12 MM) middle-African country, but it does have lotsa oil after all, & that needs guarding the same way almost 100 years ago Smedley Butler reminisced about guarding the Rockefeller oil properties in Latin America as a marine.

Oil
The oilfields in the south have been significant to the economy since the latter part of the 20th century. South Sudan has the third-largest oil reserves in Sub-Saharan Africa.[146] However, after South Sudan became an independent nation in July 2011, southern and northern negotiators were not immediately able to reach an agreement on how to split the revenue from these southern oilfields.[147]

Why the South China Sea is on the verge of an environmental disaster
By AT Editor on August 14, 2016 in Asia Times News & Features, China, Southeast Asia
(From The National Interest)
Of all the “strategic” challenges confronting the Asia-Pacific region, none is as underrated as the destruction of the marine ecosystem.
The South China Sea’s status as a critical waterway draws attention away from the fact that littoral Southeast Asia is one of the world’s most diverse global marine bio-systems, hosting 76% of the world’s coral species and 37% of reef-fish species.

Texas is Mexican land. By deception and by military invasion not so long ago Texas became United States property. Brutal murderous action obtained for us Texas Arizona New Mexico and California. Might made it right and we were oh so proud. Krushev that lovable tough old commie gave the Ukraine a very important and precious land called the historic Crimea. This was to mark the unshakable bond. Alas money interests from Wall Street, the city of London and the cabal made the move to engage the Olygarchs and soon the Russians became serfs and chattels. Until Vlad being fully aware of what had to be done acted. Now then Russia will never give away the Crimea. Too much Russian blood is in its soil. Everyone wanted it and Russia stood alone. It is much more important to Russia than the Alamo to Texas.

The shocking story of Israel’s disappeared babies
New information has come to light about thousands of mostly Yemeni children believed to have been abducted in the 1950s.
Almost all of the missing children were from Jewish families that had arrived from Arab countries shortly after Israel’s creation during the Nakba of 1948, when hundreds of thousands of native Palestinians were expelled from their homes.
The mystery has been dubbed the Yemenite Children Affair, because most of the children who disappeared were from Yemen. But there were also significant numbers from Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia and the Balkans.

We have to wait a long time before this young 16 year old girl takes the floor. For fear of retaliation, the organizers of the rally ask that the scene is not filmed. The cameras drop; only the microphones listen. The voice is quivering, tight with emotion. “We were quietly on the beach with friends of Sisco. There was on the other side, on the rocks, Maghreb people, one of which was a women who was veiled entirely, and bathing. We had seen them, but were not paying attention. Then the tourists arrived and began taking pictures. I don’t know if they were taking pictures of the North Africans; but the reaction of the North Africans was very strong. They told us that they were coming. All of a sudden, we saw them. They came out of the water. They started throwing stones on us and on the tourists. We were hit directly. My friend intervened and he was hit in the head multiple times with a machete by one of the North Africans. We were all between 15 and 18 years of age and they were 40 years old. My dad’s friend arrived and they shot on him with the harpoon. They were screaming like crazy. They said several times : “Allah Akbar, we are going to kill you, we are from the 36 of Lupinu [a neighborhood in Bastia, Corscica]; we are not afraid of you.”
In the crowd, the name-calling abounds. The tone rises. There is tension everywhere. The crowd heads to the prefecture of Haute-Corse in the hope of being received by the representatives of the State.

“Although UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, has left Saudi Arabia off the list of criminals against children, Riyadh continues to use unconventional weapons.
The Saudi regime uses against Yemenis weapons such as cluster bombs manufactured by the United States or the United Kingdom.
You, all, will be damned by present and generations to come, you, definitely, will not prevail, vermin!

Leaked ISIS documents have shown that 70 per cent of recruits have hardly any knowledge of Islam and that some even had to read ‘The Koran for Dummies’ to learn about the religion.
An analysis of recruitment forms from the terror group has revealed that many of is militants do not even have a basic knowledge of the Koran or hadith – the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad.
The documents were acquired by the Syrian opposition site Zaman al-Wasl and shared with the Associated Press.

Good to see you again JJ
I tend to believe that the dirty games played using the Olimpics make the whole athletic effort misused and be better just brought down. Brotherhood is missing. They’re useless and became a political platform for the usual suspects. Personally, I had enough.

Welcome back Vercia ! I don’t watch the Olympics. Had a good vacation ?
(A bit of wild speculation on my part. First, a special thanks to everyone who’s posting comments. The depth and breadth of conversations in all these threads tight now really amazes me. No summer holidays for this crew!! :-) Now, back to wild speculating…)
Sometimes I get the feeling that the UK’S 0.0001% is not having a very good summer.
First, there was Brexit.
Then, a variety of events in Canada, including an announcement of a Fall Tour by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (which may mean nothing, but I love to wonder. Do you suppose they choose their destinations? I would assume they must respond to the UK’s 0.0001%, like it or not).
And now, Lavrov is hosting his colleague from New Zealand. At Lavrov’s invitation, apparently. Lavrov and FM McCully met for the first time on the sidelines of ASEAN. More details on Russian Foreign Ministry’s thoughts on New Zealand, posted here:

Looks like Russia is about to take up where it left off several months ago, without the threat of Turkey or Saudi Arabia militaries joining the jihadists.
With 7-8000 jihadists concentrated in a small area for the attack on Aleppo, there will be no shortage of targets.
