Welcome to the ‘Moveable Feast Cafe’. The ‘Moveable Feast’ is an open thread where readers can post wide ranging observations, articles, rants, off topic and have animate discussions of the issues of the day.
The ‘Moveable Feast Cafe’ will have two new open threads each week.
The Saker stated moderation policy will apply eg ‘no caps’, no obscenity … etc to all post.
The Cafe is now open for business … come on in and have a good time.
Saker Webmaster
I would like to add some new cafe photos for the ‘cafe’. If you have some photos you would like to share … please do so. Black and white images … either send link of photo or email the image to saker-webmaster@yandex.com. I have already extensively mined Google, yandex, duckduckgo … for ‘cafe’ photo.
Thanks
Saker Webmaster
@webmaster
I have been trying find some pics on the internet that capture the atmosphere of a remote pub/post office/cafe general store where locals separated by long distances stop in for a beer, collect some mail, catch up on news, perhaps run into other locals that have happened to stop in.
Would suit this site.
I may have some pics somewhere that capture this. Will send them in if I can find them.
Sounds great … I love the old photos which convey a sense of the time and place. Many years ago during a cold Feburary in Belgrade I became enchanted with Belgrade’s cafes. These cafes were dark, smoke filled. and coffee infused, with the patrons bending across the tables as they intensely discussed the issues of the day. These mental images inspire the ‘Cafe’ theme here. Please share any photos you may have.
Thank you
Webmaster
What a surprise. When a while ago the Cafe pix got a bit stale (and one, a good one, was even repeated) I thought about taking and offering some. I got stopped by technical questions (do they have to have exactly 800*600 pixels or what else must/not be done?), and then the pix here got better again. However, many seem to be taken not in real life but in film studios, which makes them beautiful, but better than life.
Beginning with Sep 1st, Ryanair started flying from Berlin to several new destinations for not pennies, but single digit euros l e.g for 2E to Rzeszow, or for 3E to Sofia, or for 10E to Timisoara, Nis etc et. Compare that to the insulting 1,90E Brückengeld the Deutsche Bahn nazis extract from you (if you don’t want to go to jail for “fraud”) for the last few hundred meters from Küstrin-Kietz to Kostrzyn when you already have a permanent ticket for “the whole of Brandenburg”! So, forget about shitty Germany and see nice places “outside Europe” in TheSaker’s geography.
Thus I started visiting places formerly “too far away to even think about”, and looking for the first time at cafes “and similar places” as possible photo motives. I found that people get a bit of rest and refreshment and company even at the least pittoresque places – are these then all “cafes” eligible for being presented? Other places look like typical cafes but are not. In Sofia I found nice “women’s cafes” typically outside a women’s hairdressers saloons with tables, chairs, drinks, people (ladies) talking to each other. All this appearing from nowhere, not a legit cafe. Is this enough for being presented here? My … other pretended this was nothing special, “women all over the world do that all the time”, but I never saw it before and definitely not in Berlin.
I read your invitation and wrote my comment on a PolskiBus to Poznan, then met with Poznan cafes “and similar” – their local specialty seems to be that they exist in huge numbers but are mostly empty. My formerly best loved cafe there, “Emma” with a female management and atmosphere, was turned into a meeting point named “English Johnny”; this one is not empty.
Hoping to get informed about format etc.

The photos are best if they are 800×400 pixels. But can be smaller, the 2:1 ratio; horizonal to vertical is the most important. just take a look at any of the cafe photos that are posted and you will see that they are all rectangular shaped. I’m sure your photos of “tables, chairs, drinks, people (ladies) talking to each other” will fit in quite well as thats the spirit that we are striving towards in our ‘cafe’. Color photos are fine, and I will convert to B&W before storing in the library. In a prior comment in this thread I gave a short summary of origin of the ‘cafe’ theme.
Please do not hesitate to share your photos. We now have about 200 cafe photos in our library. Similar to the I-Ching, each photo is randomly selected for each new cafe (not by me but by special software), I always have somewhat of a fortune cookie experience when a new cafe/photo is opened.

UK MSM even more insane, check this:
Putin accused of firing NUCLEAR style missiles in Syria that can horribly kill hundreds (lol)
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/548447/word-war-3-russia-blazing-sun-missile-launcher-attack-syria-thermobaric
Even if a cease-fire is established sometime next month (expected), it won’t last4 long: not in the interest of d #USA. Terrorist must stay.
The #USA national interest is to keep the war ongoing, keep rebels and Jihadists together and drop the ball to the next administration.+
Can anyone guess why the #USA will not ask rebels to posit from Jihadists? Coz it will be the end of the rebels which is not in US interest

It seems some of the comments on the Daily Star (lying) article, eviscerated that article. Which doesn’t let them off the hook for feeding their readers that propaganda swill. But does make it a little bit better.

As F-35 Arrives in Japan, US Air Force ‘Crown Jewel’ Bursts Into Flames at Home
https://sputniknews.com/asia/20160926/1045723862/f-35-japan-debut.html
“Speaking to Radio Sputnik’s Loud & Clear, F-16 designer Pierre Sprey pointed out that the F-35’s “sophistication” may be overstated, particularly with regard to its stealth capabilities.
“Every Battle of Britain radar would be able to see every stealth airplane today, loud and clear. That’s the irony. Stealth is supposed to be the latest hook that obsoletes everything that came before it, but WWII radar sees it perfectly,” he said.
“So the question is, Should the F-35 be canceled? Of course, it should have been canceled yesterday. Will it be canceled? No. Not until it becomes such a public disgrace because of crashes and failures in combat that the services will have to walk away in embarrassment.”
I want to comment on the new article “Superficiality as a Path to God…” at the main section, but here in this cozy cafe because it’s more comfortable, and food and drink are available.
It was an excellent article in understanding Islam in a world context, especially the footnotes. The title is strange but revealing. It is pro-Sunni and against the violent elements. Yet it is a fact that the Sunni denomination birthed the violent sects, like Catholicism the Crusades and witch burnings. Is there something in patriarchal religions that produces them?
The Mongols had the biggest empire ever and probably killed the most number of people. They had some kind of religion but that’s beside my point. They are patriarchal empires like most all others. This must give us pause.
Good, subservient, obedient people are sometimes the parents of violent progeny. Our culture is patriarchal through and through; we have violent elements. Patriarchy is another name for evilarchy. Its opposite is not matriarchy which was never an historical force, but loverarchy, love as the first principle, cause and value.
Loverarchy is womam centered with man as her helper. We had it once but all traces of it have vanished under the violent putsch of patriarchy. Well, there are some remnants left which the Love Army builds on but they are virtually unknown.
Empires need religions to pacify the people but such pacification breeds resentment because we were created to be free. In my opinion based on the evidence I have read, God is a creation of patriarchs and therefore indeed is “superficial.”
Humans need safety and meaning. When there’s a lack of genuine love as the guide of the culture, a vacuum opens into which evils foment and break out in violence. When the mind has been opiated, it latches onto faith, religion and authority as the easy way to safety and meaning. That is not true love which has nothing to do with romance, sentimentality and unwarranted power or escapism.
Love has compassion on us poor deluded humans. One thing is certain: evil exists, and even if we think we enjoy the good life, we will not escape because of our ignorance of the effects of evil. We have a third need besides safety and meaning; which is love.
Love needs to be elevated to a coherent and relevant policy. The Love Army is introducing this and will eventually succeed in casting off the suffocating, superficial false loves of Empire. Rome wasn’t built in a day; and it will take more than a day to recover our Home. Thanks for an inspirational read, although not in the usual mode.
Your comment is something that I can wrap my mind around. This idea that love would someday become important in our society is something I can relate to. Even if it is a totally foreign concept in today’s world. I am amazed by how much respect people here show for other religious practices. Personally I am not a detail driven person. Love I understand, the fine nuances between one religious denomination or the other are completely irrelevant to me.
I feel the bogus narratives that are used today to promote imperialism are getting ridiculous. You have the war on drugs, which allow the empire to occupy latin america. The war on terror, allows the empire to occupy the middle east. Globalism, allows Goldman Sachs to controls the bureaucrats of the European Union and finally the western support of the Nazis in Ukraine, which is just plain silly.
It is a simple choice for this planet and each of us has to make it. Do we submit to this imperialism and live in fear of the surveillance state or do we find a way to a more loving evolution? It is up to each one of us to chose our path.
“with man as her helper”
Some time back I took issue with Scott for saying a wife should be subservient (or submit?) to her husband.
There is no cut and dried ‘man is best’ or ‘woman is best’.
In general men and women are obviously physical different, and mostly mentally different, though sometimes the mental differences overlap.
In hunter gatherer societies generally men take the lead in hunting and war/defence as physically they are better adapted.
Generally women are less physically aggressive but are they less warlike? Thatcher, Clinton, Nuland, Powers….
Away from ideologies, religions, and political correctness, couples – man and woman, tend to fall into a system where the strengths of one make up for a weakness in the other and vice versa.
It is a partnership where the weakness of one is covered by the strength of the other so that as a couple they are far stronger. Though I guess that is getting away from community or state or religious leadership….
Perhaps I am off track here as I look at the physical side of things?
“Superficiality as a Path to God”
I have just been looking up Hindutva. A mix of religion and nationalism that is another wahabbi type zombie army in the making.
Sometimes religion is benign and good but at others, it seems superstition and religion can alter peoples minds for the worse.?
I do believe I hear the sound of falling dominos.
Duterte ‘about to cross the Rubicon’ with US, wants alliances with Russia & China
https://www.rt.com/news/360677-duterte-turn-russia-china/
“Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has reiterated his intention to distance his country from the US, its former colonial master, saying he is about to pass “the point of no return” with the US.
“I am about to cross the Rubicon between me and the US,” the controversial Pacific leader told reporters, without elaborating.
Duterte reiterated that the Philippines would seek closer ties with Russia and China, the two nations that challenged American ambition for global leadership. But, he added, the ties with the US would not be broken completely, only driven to a point that would allow Manila to have an independent policy.
“I am ready to not really break [US] ties but we will open alliances with China and… [Dmitry] Medvedev, he is waiting there [in Russia] for my visit,” Duterte said, referring to the Russian prime minister.”
For decades, the usa considered the Plilippines their primo colony. They fought a 15 year long colonial war to conquer the Philippines. That’s gotta hurt. :D
I posted a link here sometime ago to an article on Duterte. From Strategic Culture or perhaps Duran.
It was on his background and the reason he called Obama “son of a whore”:
So long as Duterte can remain in power, the Philippines will most certainly pivot away from the US.
While I’m happy about the Philippines President’s wanting to build alliances with China and Russia. I can’t help but be almost certain he has opened himself up to being “regime changed”. I suspect the US and Philippines joint military maneuvers in October will be either the time the Philippines military finalize the plans with the US.Or even the time the coup takes place. Its very important to the US the Philippines doesn’t escape US control.

Some welcome bashing of the zio-gay media in this.
‘Samantha Power scared of RT because it gets truth across’
https://www.rt.com/op-edge/360648-samantha-power-us-rt-un-media/
“While RT – an international news channel based in Russia – was accused of being extremely biased, CNN – an international news channel based in America – got its credibility boosted as one of its correspondents, Clarissa Ward was given an elevated platform to speak on the situation in Aleppo at the UN meeting. Her tone was also anti-Russia. RT asked analysts whether it’s a fair approach.
According to Jim Jatras, “CNN is one of the worst elements of advocacy journalism” and any alternative media to that of the US mainstream is a “necessary antidote”.
“Let’s just remember Christiane Amanpour and her writing for Back to the Balkans, and her position on Syria and Libya too. That you’ve got one of the worst advocates for words of choice coming out of CNN and other mainstream American media. I think any foreign media and frankly the alternative media that is growing here in the US is a necessary antidote. I feel most like people in the Soviet Union used to do during the communist time – they needed to consult Samizdat in foreign media as a corrective to what they were hearing from the official media,” Jatras said.
Welch was rather emotional in his description of CNN, calling them a “stable of uninformed people,” who are “getting overpaid by people who want them to be propaganda mouthpieces” for people like Power “bashing Russia”.
“It is egregious, it is part and parcel; this is what they do. CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post. They are all onboard… They have even infected the domestic election season. They are using the election season as another wing of the ‘bash Russia’ campaign. It is all kind of on cue to soften up a population for eventual, potential war with Russia and it is very, very dangerous game that they are playing. They use the same players all the time; it is nothing new,” Welch said.”
Which brings up a “very” important point. Which is “why” was CNN permitted to speak at the UN. And “who” gave them that permission. If a country can “invite” news reporters to speak at the UN. Why has Russia or Syria not invited RT reporters to also speak there on the Syrian situation.Especially since many of the reporters “actually” on the ground in Syria are from RT.
I think this is a fit song for the AngloZionist Empire
Black Sabbath “War Pigs”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQUXuQ6Zd9w
“Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerer of death’s construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds…Oh lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait `till their judgement day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning,
ashes where the bodies burning.
No more war pigs have the power,
hand of god has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, god is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercy for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings…Oh lord, yeah!”

Forceful indictment of evil by graphics and music. The red cloth is womam’s blood spilled by patriarchy or evilarchy. Inspires me to implement the solutions proposed by the Love Army with increased vigor. Thanks.

“…The new effect I have described in this essay — a search suggestion effect — is very different from SEME but almost certainly increases SEME’s impact. If you can surreptitiously nudge people into generating search results that are inherently biased, the battle is half won. Simply by including or suppressing negatives in search suggestions, you can direct people’s searches one way or another just as surely as if they were dogs on a leash, and you can use this subtle form of influence not just to alter people’s views about candidates but about anything…”
MoA and SST blogs both have articles up on an interview with Jabat al Nusra leader in which he specifically names the countries working directly with AQ in Syria. The only country left out is Israel which has been in the media bit recently with its direct and open support of AQ in south west Syria.
The interview at this point seems genuine, and it was run in German mainstream media.
So the leader of al Nusra naming his direct sponsors (minus one) to the worlds media which was then unaccountably reproduced in German MSM.
Looks like another game occurring here which is worth keeping an eye on.
Israel playing games to its own ends? Jumping ship as the old one is going down?
I regularly check Breitbart’s pulse re Zio/machinations in the MSM.
Today, a hack on, of all people, well-known Russophobe Ann Appelbaum.
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/09/27/anne-applebaums-russian-style-disinformation-offensive-msm-vs-anti-globalist-right-will-people/
As you can see from the header, it’s as twisted as they come; she is now cast in the role of a Kremlin ‘disinformation agent’!
But also allusions to her Jewishness, by a Polish citizen…just a whiff of anti-semitism?
Yet the author is an ex hedge-fundie, who also writes for the until-recently Bonnier-controlled Polish ‘SuperExpress: the same Bonnier clan who control the pro-NATO, Zio-media on Sweden.
So what gives?
I am picking up a sense of Zio media attempting to distance Zionist agendas from neo-con – or at least create the perception that they are different groups/ agendas when they are not.
I also note the author is pretty Jewish-looking himself….
This is the UK version, so it may be an indicator of disagreement on tactics, while remaining commited to the same overall strategy for imperial hegemony.
This one seems to be coopting nationalist sentiments while posturing as anti-globalist.
India has 100% pivoted according to this.
Andrew Korybko
http://katehon.com/article/indias-first-ever-infowar-against-russia-was-failure
India launched its first-ever information war against Russia last week, signaling that the decades-long friendship between the two Great Powers is quickly becoming a factor of the past as New Delhi swiftly pivots towards Washington…
… The false narrative that Russia had cancelled its drills with Pakistan was designed to pressure Russian decision makers into making this choice after the fact and in order to avoid ‘embarrassing’ their Indian ‘ally’, but the Indians totally misjudged the Russians because Moscow will never fall for such underhanded media tactics in influencing its policy.
Quite the contrary, the Indian infowar attack against Russia hardened Moscow’s resolve to hold the joint military exercises with Islamabad and totally undermined the weak trust between Russia and India. Never before in history had India so audaciously attempted to interfere with Russian policy, let alone in such a blatant and public way, and this moment will be seen in hindsight as a game-changing decision that fundamentally altered the nature of the Russian-Indian relationship. New Delhi had been drifting towards the US for a decade already, but this trajectory was accelerated under the leadership of Narendra Modi, who made it a key point of his foreign policy ever since he arrived in office. Evidently, the US’ ‘soft power’ strategies have rubbed off on the Indians, who are now emulating their new military-strategic partners in each and every way and even going as far as to officially declare the existence of ‘Indian Exceptionalism’….
…The ideological underpinnings of Hindutva are racial-religious supremacy and a predilection to genocidal violence, structurally mirroring its American Exceptionalist, Wahhabist, and Zionist ‘siblings’. If one understands the aforementioned three as forming a triple-headed ‘Cerberus’ of unipolarity, then it can conceptually be said that the hellhound has sprouted a fourth head with Hindutva, which has wasted no time in making its fellow ideologies proud by shamelessly turning against Russia and advancing unipolarity in the subcontinent through the same means that its counterparts do elsewhere throughout the rest of the world….
From your article link, PeterAU:
“Foreign media began picking up the false story without even checking the sources, which if they did, they’d see that the whole operation began with a single tweet by CNN-News18 (special thanks to Petri Krohn for finding the source).”
That sounds more like a mosad or cia plant than something from India itself. It’s something they specialise in. I also very much doubt India-Russia relations are in a bad state given all the joint research and production projects the 2 nations have together. These include still classified ultra high level military projects such as PAK-FA and Brahmos, for example.
The Indians, like the Iranians, pride themselves on staying as independent as possible, when dealing with other countries. Like Russia and China, as well, so expect differences to often crop up. But these differences are understood and do not divide. Very different way of doing things in the multipolar world compared with the israeli-american monolithic oligarchy.
I looked up Hindutva after reading your post, as I know nothing about them/it. The couple of sites I run onto (pro Hindutva), tells another story.
Strongly anti communist which negates past history with Soviet Union/Russia, Anti China, apart from communism, they believe Tibet and other regions are part of India, Pakistan an enemy that should be party of India. As current Russia has good relations with both China and Pakistan, they would also be the enemy.
Hindu is the original religion. All others derive from Hindu. One day India will have its rightful place and rule the world.
Reading through the sites, there is much potential for CIA/Mossad ect that is very real.
Modi is Hindutva. I think the joint projects where began before Modi’s time. I suspect that Modi will use any country that will do a deal for military tech. In the meantime CIA ect will use Modi.
Also the pro Hindutva crowd (Modi support base) would be very easy to manipulate through social media.
Looks like they will be used same as wahabbi’s.
I spent a number of years with the Indo-Canadian Hindu community. Also did a couple very brief trips to India. I know nothing about India’s political situation, but Hinduism is extremely diverse. The three or four local temples I’ve attended are all markedly different from each other. In India, these differences were even more striking. It seemed each village would have its own unique, distinct Hindu practice, which dated back thousands of years. Also, major differences between North and South India, where Hindi is not even a primary language. The priest at one Canadian temple also explained that the term “Hinduism” was given by the imperial outsiders. The actual name is Sanathana Dharma, loosely translated as The Way of Righteousness, and it’s not a religion, it’s a way of life, of living. Europeans decided that Hinduism is a religion. So I find it had to believe that this could be a powerful unifier in India. Another observation from my time among the Indo-Canadians: when it comes to imperial shenanigans, the Indians have seen it all. Like everything. They know imperial behaviour better than anybody, it seems!! So personally, I’d be very careful in drawing conclusions about what India is up to.
“The ancient Hindus could navigate the air, and not only navigate it, but fight battles in it like so many war-eagles combating for the domination of the clouds. To be so perfect in aeronautics, they must have known all the arts and sciences related to the science, including the strata and currents of the atmosphere, the relative temperature, humidity, density and specific gravity of
the various gases…” -Col. Olcott in a lecture in Allahabad, in 1881.
So where did that knowledge go?
And what evidence that it’s not just myth?
Genuine questions.
@S113
A hindutava site here. Use google translate Not yandex. http://hindutva.info/
English language site here http://veda.wikidot.com/hindutva I notice it is wiki but content is same as others I have seen.
Hindutva also has a spiritual side which to me is religion. Perhaps not the same as were a religion governs the way of life
Sanathana Dharma. Why change the name? In all sites I have read they state Hinuvta originates from Sanathana Dharma.
US forces moving into India would seem to go against Hindutva ideals. India has got the best of Russian tech through joint Bramos and Pak-FA, now they have done a deal for US military tech transfer by allowing US forces in.
Is Hindutva the same to Sanathana Dharma as wahhabi is to Sunni islam?
Thanks for the links, Peter AU. It is intriguing to read more about this. I am suspicious because the Indo-Canadian patriots who I met defended the return to proper Indian names. Which means the Sanathana Dharma. Hindu, Hinduism, India… these are imperial terms which these proud and intelligent Indians believed should be corrected. India is Bharat. Having no political awareness though, I can’t attempt to truly understand Hindutva.
Indians view spirituality in life in an entirely different way than Europeans. I got the impression that they had abandoned trying to explain it to Westerners/foreigners raised with very specific ideas about what a religion is. While I gained some sense of living the Sanathana Dharma, slowly, during my time at the temples and with their community, I am not able to really see past my own Western bias.
I admit that I did find myself out of my league with the Indian saavy in dealing with imperial power. They had just a deep grasp of this, which I didn’t. So I do wonder if in the closed ranks of Indian elite society, this Hindutva might have a very different meaning. It does seem to be created to satisfy Western tastes and expectations.
A search engine that will search Sanskrit when search terms in English are entered is needed. Baidu is a good search engine for Chinese, and Yandex a good search engine for Russian, but no idea what to use for Sanskrit.
I lived and worked with Australian aboriginal people for a time. Laws that they live by, their history, their understanding of the land, what foods to eat, where/how to find food, their tribal boundaries, laws on marriage ect, everything they needed to live by, plus the spirit world, all part of the same parcel that governed their lives. All oral, passed down through the generations and millennia. If something new occurred it was added to the oral history. The spirit world was not separated but woven into everything.

This cafe is the most high class yet. Here in this low caste four wheeled moveable cafe the temp is 108 F. On an Eden Vegan diet it’s no problem. Not only is such a diet good for losing weight but it beats the heat. The pictured cafe no doubt has air-conditioning but I dislike such expensive cooling. I’ve got a couple of fans working though. In Eden we had many hot days but our thin and lithe bodies thrived on fruit, and we had no need to bulk up for work or military service.
I came to continue the Windhover poem about a saker-falcon. I’ve switched the context from Jesuitical to Lovecal. The saker-falcon, standing in for love, “hovers” on the wind before swinging out and diving at breath-taking speed.
“In his ecstasy… sweeps smooth…the hurl and gliding rebuffed the big wind. My heart in hiding stirred with the bird,- the achieve of, the mastery of the thing!”
Love in the form of a bird rebuffs the big wind of evil, and shows that it is the master, not the winds . So are we, fledgling sakers and falcons.

On Islam and its current status:
Seen from a high altitude vantage point (imagine an Alien studying Earth civilisations and history) there is very little difference between what the Catholic Church was doing few centuries ago and Islam today. With the help of few luminaries and Renaissance brillant minds, reconciliation occurred between Science and Religion. The process culminated when Nations were able to get rid of the Church in the conduct of the states affair and Religion scaled back on its core business, i.e. events management: Birth, Christening, Wedding and Death. Some spinoffs of the old times when knowledge was recorded, copied then disseminated by the Church survived as well through various schools and universities.
The same process with Islam has just begun. It would be very optimistic to imagine that Islam will not go trough the same convulsions, tragedies and massacres on its path to reconciliation with Science. The question is: Can we fast track somehow this process, reducing the misery and the suffering we are witnessing today?
Knowledge of the various schisms in Religions with the history of the variants and in-depth analysis of the different currents is a fascinating discipline. But its relevance is academic and cannot really help as it is way too complex for people who need to be enlighten. Statistics on Jihadists knowledge on Islam religion and its concepts are appalling… Shias fighting Sunnis is like head fighting tail on a dime, oblivious of the “in God we trust”.
As politics became the art of negating mere logic, especially the links between causes and consequences, changes will not come from political alternance.

“As announced on September 26 at a briefing in Donetsk, deputy commander of the operational command of the DNI Eduard Eduard Basurin, Ukrainian security forces continue to arm themselves, they were transferred to a controlled villages on the southern sector of the front more than a dozen vehicles with ammunition. According to him, seven kilometers from the front line in the villages Dawn Novoazovskiy district, Nikolaevka and Novognatovka Volnovakha district marked the arrival of a total of 13 vehicles with ammunition. Eduard Basurin stressed that in the area of Nikolayevka fixed unloading ammunition in special protective suits.
“We do not rule out that the warehouse were delivered to white phosphorus, which bear a mortal danger to local residents and the environment”, – said the representative of command.
Earlier, the military leadership of the DNI has repeatedly stated on the application of Ukrainian law enforcers phosphorous bombs against the civilian population of Donbass. In particular, in January 2015, during the shelling by the APU Donetsk airport.”

The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic keeps aggravating.
Over the past day the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire regime 131 times.
In spite of our proposals to the Ukrainian side to cease fire and to think better of it, there are some AFU commanders who are aiming at disrupting truce and making their top military command feel uncomfortable that usually reports on strict implementation of the ceasefire regime on the part of Ukraine to the Deputy Head of the SMM OSCE Alexander Hug. Thus, by the order of Dropatny, the commander of the 58th separate infantry brigade, over the past day the locality of Yasinovataya was under shelling; at the area of which there were launched 54 tank shells of 125mm caliber and 31 mortar shells of 120mm and 82mm caliber. It is quite possible that Dropatny decided to congratulate his President on his birthday and to set up him in front of the Western tutors who believe in the fact that Ukraine complies with agreements undertaken.
Vlasenko, the commander of the 46th special-purpose separate battalion Donbass-Ukraina keeps demonstrating his unwillingness to be controlled by the AFU command. By the order of Vlasenko, last night there was opened fire, using mortars of 120mm caliber towards the locality of Aleksandrovka and there were launched 5 mortar shells at this locality.
Besides, such localities as Zaitsevo, Krasny Partizan, Spartak, Dokuchayevsk, Zhabichyevo and the checkpoint Mayursk were shelled with grenade launchers and small arms.
The Ukrainian military were not stopped by the fact that yesterday Alexander Hug, the Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Ukraine, had been present in the DPR who could have assured himself of Muzhenko’s prate, the Head of Ukraine’s General Staff.
***
Our intelligence keeps registering the facts of ammunition delivery for the AFU military equipment prohibited that are present along the contact line. Thus, in the area of the localities of:
Zarya (7km away from the contact line) there was registered arrival of 5 vehicles with ammunition;
Nikolayevka and Novognatovka (7km away from the contact line) there was registered arrival of 8 vehicles with ammunition.
Besides, unloading of boxes with ammunition at the weapons depots in the area of the locality of Nikolayevka was accomplished by the AFU servicemen wearing special costumes at night. It is possible that there were delivered phosphorous ammunition that are bearing lethal risk to local residents and to the environment.
It should be noted that on September 5 at the warehouses of the rocket and artillery weapons in the locality of Nikolayevka there was already prevented fire by the Ukrainian servicemen that could have led to detonation of all the ammunition.
Irresponsibility and connivance of the Ukrainian command can lead to tragic events again that are similar to those that took place in the locality of Svatovo.
The Vice-Commander of the DPR People’s Militia Eduard Basurin, the official translation by the DONi News Agency
The Medjlis were supposed to be doing something at Crimeas checkpoints yesterday……
ah here is news
The Crimean Civil blockade, which began a year ago, has changed its format, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean TatarPpeople Refat Chubarov told on the air of “Gromadske”.
As a year has already passed, I can assert that the Crimean civil blockade has changed the format. Now the “Asker” organization is also here, asker is translated as a “warrior”. We expect a new military unit to be created with immigrants from the Crimea being able to serve in its ranks. We still have a few ideas that people do not forget about the Crimea, said the Mejlis Chairman.
He stressed that the Crimean Tatars are hoping that the “Asker” military unit will be registered at the official level. Refat Chubarov said that several hundred people from all regions of Ukraine took part in the yesterday’s action dedicated to the anniversary of the Crimean civil blockade.
A few hundred people came from the cities of Melitopol, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Kiev. We marched to the administrative border with the occupied Crimea. Then we came up right to the Russian administrative border and I gave a speech. I said that although being deprived of the liberty of speech most Crimean people preserve honesty and wait for the return of Ukraine, said Chubarov.
The Crimean Civil blockade started September 20, 2015. The Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian activists demanded to stop trade with the annexed peninsula. Their demands resulted in a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers to limit the supply of goods to the Crimea.
September 24, Crimean Tatars held a campaign at Chongar checkpoint dedicated to the first anniversary of the Civil blockade of the Russia-annexed Crimea.”
note several hundreds participated, versus against 4-5000 tatar ‘traitors” who collaborated with Russi in Crimea 2014…..I think that was a democratic vote against what is now the discredited tatars “enjoying” Ukraine’s support.

“Ukrainian border guards speak about possible provocations during the Crimean Tatars’ rally to the anniversary of the Crimean Civil blockade, reported the Head of the State Border Service Assistant, a Department Spokesman Oleg Slobodyan at a press briefing on Friday. The rally is scheduled on September 24
“The Ukrainian border guards recorded the presence of Russian intelligence using helicopters and Lynx balloons at the border. Allegedly, Russian intelligence monitors of the situation in the area of the main entry / exit checkpoints at the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea on the eve of the anniversary of the Crimean Civil blockade,” Slobodyan said.
A spokesman for the State Border Service said that the Russian secret services used Lynx balloons in provocative actions related to the search of the “Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group.”

RZINCAN (QHA) –
On behalf of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and under the coordination of the Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, hundreds of displaced Meskhetian Turks families were evacuated from Ukraine to the Turkish Republic.
Another wave of immigrants for permanent residence will be sent from Ukraine to Turkey in October. That is approximately 108 families, according to the AA agency.
At the moment, preparations are being finalized for resettlement of more than 100 Meskhetian families near Uzumlu (Erzincan province).
Mass Housing Management to the Government of Turkey (TOKİ) has built houses for new immigrants with all the necessary infrastructure in the Fatih district of the same province.
As of today, 302 families have already relocated to the Republic.
The first group of Meskhetian immigrants went from the East of Ukraine to the Republic December 25, 2015. 174 people, including small children, took the first flight. They were the families affected by the hostilities in the Slavyansk district, Donetsk region. The process of Meskhetian Turks resettlement proceeded in several stages.”
Is Turkey evacuating these people from Donetsk cos something is gonna go down????

“Although with a delay, but still the Tavria National University has started a new academic year for more than 600 students in Kiev. The opening ceremony was held in the building of the Ministry of Education and Science, reported a QHA correspondent.
Most university staff and students have moved to the mainland Ukraine following the annexation of the Crimea. The Presidential Commissioner on the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev congratulated the participants on the start of the new academic year.
The university will teach specialists for de-occupied Crimean autonomy. I wish students the successful studies. I really hope they will take an active part in the liberation of Crimea from occupants, said Dzhemilev.”

“The second conference of the separatists from around the world was held on Sunday, September 25 in Moscow. The event was attended by representatives of Texas and California, Northern Ireland, the Spanish province of Catalonia, Scotland and other regions.
The 24 TV Channel reported that terrorists who were fighting in the Donbas were also among the organizers and participants.
Even the rules were changed for foreign visitors – the conference was rescheduled from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. as the foreign came very late. The journalists, meanwhile, “entertained” the supporters of “New Russia”, reported the Ukrainian TV Channel.
Foreigners willingly posed for the cameras and talked about fighting the mythical globalists, complaining about Ukraine.
The conference was organized by the Kremlin -funded “anti-globalization movement of Russia” with Syrian President Bashar Assad and the former President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad being among the honorary members of the movement.
According to RBC, the presidential grant of RUB 3.5 million was earmarked for the conference.
“The anti-globalization movement of Russia” was established in 2012 as an organization to support the countries and peoples “opposing the dictates of a unipolar world and seeking to propose an alternative agenda.”

OT, but
Searching on Google for:
clinton twitter
versus
trump twitter
or clinton or trump
Each Clinton search gives a first page scrollable Twitter widget. With the views of the Candidates and team.
The Trump searches do not. This is particularly important as the news sources are completely weighted against Trump. There was a widget till a few days ago.
This is a predictable interference by Google.
Canadians, I think there’s someone we need to watch. Very, very closely. So a couple weeks ago, I visited the Trilateral Commission website. Found a membership list (from 2013, I think??)
I was super shocked to discover that John Manley, former Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister was the head of the North American area. This means one of two things:
He is a traitor to Canada, Globalist shadow government leader.
He is a traitor to the Globalists (and if so, we all know what that means!!)
Either way, we should be keeping him out of the shadows, in the light, 24/7, I think.
I awoke from a strange dream and felt strange. I went looking for a certain poem to understand my mood. I came here and checked in at the door, finding Saker’s rant about the election. My strange mood and need for poetry vanished and I was sucked into the “real” world.
Such is life. The empire is omnipresent and apparently omniscient. It sucks up all the oxygen and demands everyone’s attention. It is brilliantly intelligent and knows every trick in the books. Makes me depressed and angry.
What can I do about it? I will beat it at its own game through the Love Government and Army. Thanks, gentle vineyard, you changed my mood to darkest black and fiery red.
And, I just found the poem I wasn’t looking for: The Windhover Saker Falcon. Here’s the part where the fables are turned on empire:
“Brute beauty and valour and act, oh, air, pride, plume, here Buckle!
And the fire that that breaks from thee then
A billion times told lovelier, more dangerous
O my chevalier!”
Maybe this will cheer you up a bit. From Nigerian poet Ben Okri.
“It is not surprising therefore that poets seem to be set against the world. The poet needs to be up at night when the world sleeps; needs to be up at dawn, before the world wakes; needs to dwell in odd corners, where Tao is said to reside; needs to exist in dark places, where spiders forge their webs in silence; near the gutters, where the undersides of our dreams fester. Poets need to live where others don’t care to look, and they need to do this because if they don’t they can’t sing to us of all the secret and public domains of our lives.”
The acknowledged legislators of the world take the world as given. They dislike mysteries, because mysteries cannot be coded, or legislated, and wonder cannot be made into law. And so these legislators police the accepted frontiers of things. Politicians, heads of state, kings, religious leaders, the rich and powerful — they all fancy themselves the masters of this earthly kingdom. They speak to us of facts, policies, statistics, programs, abstract and severe moralities. But the dreams of the people are beyond them, and would trouble them. The harder realities of the people would alarm them. It is they who have curbed the poets’ vision of reality. It is they who invoke the infamous ‘poetic license’ whenever they do not want to face the inescapable tragedy contained in, for example, Okibo’s words, ‘ I have lived the oracle dry on the cradle of a new generation.’ It is they who demand that poetry be partisan, that it take sides, usually their side; that it rises on the backs of causes and issues, their causes, their issues, whoever they may be.
“Our lives have become narrow enough. Our dreams strain to widen them, to bring our waking consciousness the awareness of greater discoveries that lie just beyond the limits of our sight. We must not force our poets to limit the world any further. That is a crime against life itself. If a poet begins to speak only of narrow things, of things we can effortlessly digest and recognize, of things that do not disturb, frighten, stir, or annoy us, or make us restless for more, make us cry for greater justice, make us want to set sail and explore inklings murdered in our youths, if the poet sings only of our restricted angels and in restricted terms and in restricted language, then what hope is there for any of us in this world?”

in serbia, vast variety of media diligently transcribing from cnn, bbc etc comes with a definitive teflon effect, i.e. nothing sticks..
here, one example from, in the heart of belgrade restaurant – the song introduced as: “the favourite of the world mega tzar v v putin “..
can’t be sure if it really is putin’s favourite, makes one think the orchestra chose it as a chance to, towards the end of the song, sing: ya rusiyu lyublyu ( i love russia)..
have a listen, it’s a beautiful song.
Lovely song and lovely cafe. I felt quite at home there… alas… stuck this time around in the belly of the beast.

Gorgeous – thanks for the treat. :-)
Just in case Anwar Kahn steps into this café to take a break, here is a poem for him.
Suppose you can recite a thousand holy
verses from memory.
What are you going to do
with your ego self, the true
mark of the heretic?
Every time your head touches
the ground in prayers, remember,
this was to teach you to
put down that load of ego
which bars you from entering
the chamber of the Beloved.
To your mind feed understanding,
to your heart, tolerance and compassion.
The simpler your life, the more meaningful.
The less you desire of the world,
the more room you will have in it
to fill with the Beloved.
The best use of your tongue
is to repeat the Beloved’s Name in devotion.
The best prayers are those in
the solitude of the night.
The shortest way to the Friend
is through selfless service and
generosity to His creatures.
Those with no sense of honor and dignity are best avoided.
Those who change colors constantly
are best forgotten.
The best way to be with those
bereft of the Beloved’s qualities,
is to forget them in the
joy of silence in one’s corner of solitude.
Shaikh Abu Saeed Abil Kheir (Abu Sa’id ibn Ab’il Khair ) (967 – 1049 ce)
From Hafiz
Effacement
Effacement is a golden gun.
It was not easy to hold it against my head
and fire!
I needed great faith in my master to suffocate myself
with his holy bag full of truth.
I needed great courage
to go out into the dark
Tracking God into the unknown.
And not panic or get lost
in all the startling new scents, sound, Sights.
Or lose my temper tripping on those scheming
Night and Day around me.
Hafiz, Effacement is the emerald dagger
you need to plunge
Deep into yourself upon
this path to divine
Recovery—
Upon this path to God.
Hi. I just got back from my walk into town. Had thoughts and feelings circling around me like hummingbirds. The Love Army marched along to the tune of greensleeves. It’s 98 in here now as opposed to 108 yesterday. Cool.
“I’m working like the devil; the game’s the same, it’s just up on another level.”
I was thinking about the lovers while in the background of my mind crept the killers. Where do lovers make love, says I to myself? I wouldn’t call working in the war room making love. The cafe is for conversation and eating and drinking, and hanging out.
There must be somewhere else in a vineyard for making love but where? Like lightning in a bottle came the revelation of the hidden “bower.” Yes, a lovers’ bower trellised with vines and many a flower.
But what has that to do with a love army or government? Everything. It’s the secret, sacred garden that supplies them energy. It seems a long way from bed to battlefield but at lovespeed it’s traversed before you can think it.
Ah, sweet love, you rascal you, making yourself invisible and hiding out all this while. So there exists a love army, love government and love lovers. This vineyard is gradually revealing its secrets. It feels so good to be in love, doesn’t it? And have a place to make love not hampered by time and space.
That’s the heart of the matter but the matter of the heart is devious as the devil. Love has been pillaged, raped and killed, all in the service of sentiment, romance and avoidance.
As the poet says, I have to work like the devil to enter love’s level. Still, it’s nice to know that a bower of lovers exists, making the world go ’round while the empire tries to grind it into the ground. I guess that’s where the Love Army comes in. Protect that bower in this fateful hour.
I had other thought dreams on my walk of an equally serious nature but the talk is a little too rough for me now. Got to toughen up my weak knees and timid heart. I’ve never read anything quite so shocking as those two books. My knees are not knocking but they would be if I did not have the love bower, love government and love army knocking at the enemy’s gate to give him one more chance (sounds like Putin, doesn’t it?).
My favourite Greensleeves:

VIDEOS- Argentine archaeologists, on a private property in a forest about 60 km from any kind of civilization and the nearby city of San Carlos de Bariloche, found the grave of Adolf Hitler, reports Serbian daily “Kurir”.
The property is very difficult to reach because it is surrounded with 60 km of forest, and it can only be accessed by boat, which is impossible to do unnoticed because the bay is clearly visible from the watchtowers.
The grave was found 70 meters from the property in the forest, and was decorated with swastika, eagle and it says “Here lies Adolf Hitler, Furer of the Third Reich”, writes the daily.
Archaeologist submitted a request to the Argentine government to carry out the exhumation of the remains and compare DNA.
The property was owned by the director of “Mercedes”, who was also the largest supporter of Nazism, according to the daily More than 60,000 Nazis lived in Argentina, among them Josef Mengele, one of the largest villains of the world.’

history to be rewritten again?
Nice to inform us that someone brought this old topic up again. Unfortunately telling witty anecdotes from the past is not enuff, there should be a consensus (in thought AND action) that this scum – Father Hitler, his daughter Angela , and their many supporters , from the Hunover clan in London to the many shwabish nazis at Mercedes or in the Filbinger gang with Schäuble as their current most nefarious member – should have no say, office, influence anymore anywhere. Instead, they continue to be our führers, continue to ruin Europe the way Adolf did, and continue to be, uh, licked everywhere even by those we like to think of as our greatest hopes.
Unfortunately the „Kurir“ of Srbija is not the best informed and most reliable source there is, and those quoting it without reflecting that… and without being more specific (since on http://www.kurir.rs nothing can be found about this sensation) or reliable themselves. For instance there was no „the“ director of Mercedes and definitely no „THE largest supporter of Nazism“ – that the Serbian language and the Kurir do not know of articles (defined and undefined) does not help (not to speak of orthography: „fu??rer“?), but „a“ director, „one of“ the largest supporters sounds much better – and other directors and strong supporters were helpful, too. The whole nazism is an effort of many evil forces, and so is its living on after its „end“ in Germany, Argentina and so many other places – that the MoSSad found only Eichmann and nobody else in Argentina is obviously one of the proofs that Nazism and MoSSadism are two branches of the same tree. One wonders whether Eichmann, after his impressive talkativeness for the holocaust compensation record, was not rewarded with an El Al ticket back to Patagonia.
In the Kurir‘s Srbija, the whole story of Hitler‘s survival in Argentina with impressive descriptions of the nazi landscape in the vicinity of San Carlos de Bariloche was published in 2012 already by Admiral Books, in the Serbian translation of Dunstan+Williams‘ „Grey Wolf“ of 2011 (cf . https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/oct/27/hitler-lived-1962-argentina-plagiarism) Hitler‘s death on 1962-2-13-15:00 is mentioned on p.313, but they did not write down that, yes, he was buried where he had lived. That the grave has been „found“ now (there must have been always many people who knew of it, the knowledge existed, and is then perhaps published right now on purpose), is ok, and the DNA of it should first be compared with that of his daughter, Germany‘s english steered führeress, Angela the Anti-Russia-war-monger completely in line with her father and the english overlords of both of them.
So, in my view, history is not to be „rewritten again“, but to be scrutinized and the results accepted and retained one by one, and then acted upon. One result I was personally confronted with on 2010-7-29 by Angela Hitler and her cortege was that she remembered this day as a feast day, being a round number of years past something, a jubilee day for her, since exactly 65 years earlier her father finally escaped the Russkies and the ocean waves, reaching the continent of South America, thus saving himself and nazism for eternity. Angela Hitler & Co. staged a little show for me and a gentleman from another country I had met the first time a day earlier, so that both of us might know that she is aware of her nazi, rothshild-schickelgruber descent and proud of it, poised to do everything again „as we nazis do it“. Earlier already, several other persons have ridiculed themselves by indoctrinating me into things I never wanted to find out – I have never been told why they show telling things especially to me from time to time, so I have no clue about that, but the bits and pieces I was shown clearly belong to the same puzzle, and I try to keep them where they belong, instead of constantly rearranging them as a pastime or throwing them away after a while „to be open for new insight“.

Welcome back, bimboplumpe! Enjoyed hearing about your travels, and look forward to the photos. (Did you see ioan along the way? Seems to be frequenting some other café this week).
From this side of the Atlantic, I fully support your suggestions about getting the crazy m——er f—–ers out of power (if I may paraphrase, in my, at times, coarse North American tongue).
I find your comments reassuring and comforting, always. Thank you for taking the time to comment. You speak what’s normally kept hidden, and you personally confront the ugliness that everyday, amiable, well-intentioned society does not have to respond to. As an accidental witness in this, I’m grateful for the words of a torch-bearer.
Hi S113,
thank you for your nice words, I am flattered and not sure to deserve them.
Yeah, travels… those that find ways to produce ugliness just for the hell of it also find ways to infiltrate it everywhere, including travels. On the other hand, everything else on a travel is undisturbed by ‚them‘, new, nice, interesting, refreshing, encouraging. For instance, in Poland you have free WiFi on every train, in most official buildings (e.g. train stations), in Germany everthing is greedily calculated – free wifi only on an intercity train etc. The completely normal elderly bus that brings us from Beograd to that little province town with the wine fest has free wifi, too, of course. In the Balcans one would expect backwardness, but everything works ok, people are friendly and know enough English… in short, these destinations are not overrun and recommendable.
The photos the webmaster encouraged everyone to send him are not to be shown and seen related to their author but to a particular edition of the MFC, and they will go into a pool until then and be picked not by a person but by a kind of oracle software, with results that can surprise the organisators. My pictures tend to be complicated (in my youth I photographed what I liked and the photographs were likable, but now everything is much more complicated…) and in Poznan I met complicated cafe photo conditions (narrow upright cafe meets 2:1 panorama format) – and what did the oracle say with the next title picture at the next occasion, the 16-9-30 edition? „Keep it simple, stupid!“ What? Oh yes, interesting idea… must try out…
Thanks again for your interest… and your contributions. I liked your comment on behalf of India (a riddle wrapped in a sari?), a moderating call for being more moderation in condemning processes and people one does not understand at all. Ages ago I knew someone, one person only until today, who was interested in India. But on one occasion I was photographing a theatre event devoted to Shiva, and promptly my best lens of my best camera changed its inner workings: the whole focusing gear had to be exchanged – ouch! – and I had to acknowledge the power of the Lord of Destruction, with or without interest in and correct information or not about India.
Cheers

As was expected the MH17 “report” blames Russia and the Novorossians for the shot down plane. We can now expect a Worldwide savage propaganda attack to commence on Russia today.
sputnik live is showing dutch report re MH17 12.34 pm
Yes,it is a hate “feast” against Russia and Novorossia, you can be sure. But I see several problems with this:
1. They talk of “witnesses” but give no evidence of “who”.That in itself certainly lends itself to falsehood and coercion.
2. They once again talk of “secret ” evidence. That they refuse to show publicly.
3. The shoot down was over the territory of the Donetsk Peoples Republic. And any investigation or “trial” should be conducted by the authorities of the Donetsk Peoples Republic. And no other authorities.
4.To show the level of “credibility” of this “investigation”,they constantly refer to the NAF as “Pro-Russian” fighters. And yet,did not refer to the Ukrainian forces as the “pro-US forces.
JIT mentioned 150000 phonecalls details supplied by ukraine as evidence…….remaining classified, and hints of usa classified info too …..we know CIA is in Kiev………nuff said?
Western media all over ‘russian ” missile—–which can be read as quote or inference the president personally ordered…..ignoring ukr used old missiles which it had in stock, rus only has in stock newer missiles….so I think I have read……the saga continues.
That good ol’ “International Community” showing off again — always good for a laugh.
With this new assault by way of the MH17 report on Russia,by the West. Now is not a time for any “weakness”. There will be a propaganda “feeding frenzy”,that must be combated sternly. Before it is allowed to get out of hand. Personally,I don’t know “who” shot the plane down.It was a tragedy beyond doubt. But I do know “if” it was anyone on Donbass’s side,it was a total accident. And not a “criminal offence”. If it was done by Ukraine,or the West. I also know it wasn’t an accident. But done as a weapon against Russia. The “high-handed” and “holier than thou” attitude we will see from the West now. Is totally different from what we saw with the US shoot down of the Iranian passenger plane. With which they “couldn’t have cared less”.This can’t be forgotten, when talking about needing “criminal investigations”.
Bob the missile manufacturer live on rt responds to JITnow
oops, missed out a comma there in post above Bob is not the missile maker….
“The Almaz-Antey representative stressed that while modelling the Buk missile strike, the international investigators did not use the data on the respective Buk missile presented by the Russian arms producer. Instead the JIT opted for the data on a US missile, which has technical characteristics different from Buk missiles.
The Dutch-led investigators have still not been able to name the exact missile model, saying the Boeing was shot down by a 9M38-series missile.
Regarding the launch site, Malyshevsky claimed that the angle at which the actual projectiles hit MH17 differs from the one presented by the JIT. The angle of the impact on MH17 shows that the plane was likely downed from the area near Zaroshenksoye, he said.”

It’s so nice to be back in Paris!
I guess that’s one of the places lovers go,
In answer to Dennis’ query, below.
Or was that in some mystical thread above,
Inquiring of Cupid’s hangout, his lair of love?
“Restaurant” is a French word, perhaps ‘Cafe’ too.
“Rue” is something to do with many a bad day,
Such as Dylan use of “Rue Morgue Avenue”.
In fatigue I don’t know up from down, I cannot say!
But I just read a novel after getting off the road, it was largely set in Paris. Followed by Berlin (east), Eastern Europe, Lodz, Warsaw, NYC…………It reminded me of all of you, in the east and in the west. I wished there was a book club here, so I could find out what Leary read, and unload some of the dreams and streams of notions and emotions that have been swimming in my head.
But before I get all lovey dovey about Paris and the French, I must tell you about some back alleys I’ve been down, the rats and the putrid stench. Because the novel was political, and Hollande is just a hostage, a sad sack prisoner, like a Vichy piece of garbage, and that does not inspire lovers to bring new ones into being, to be little prisoners in some insane asylum.
So here’s to travel, and the freedom,
To go from bad to worse
And to Parisian political asylum,
In novels and in verse:
Bob Dylan
“Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues”
When you’re lost in the rain in Juarez
And it’s Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don’t pull you through
Don’t put on any airs
When you’re down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outa you.
Now if you see Saint Annie
Please tell her thanks a lot
I cannot move
My fingers are all in a knot
I don’t have the strength
To get up and take another shot
And my best friend, my doctor
Won’t even say what it is I’ve got.
Sweet Melinda
The peasants call her the goddess of gloom
She speaks good English
And she invites you up into her room
And you’re so kind
And careful not to go to her too soon
And she takes your voice
And leaves you howling at the moon.
Up on Housing Project Hill
It’s either fortune or fame
You must pick up one or the other
Though neither of them are to be what they claim
If you’re lookin’ to get silly
You better go back to from where you came
Because the cops don’t need you
And man they expect the same.
Now all the authorities
They just stand around and boast
How they blackmailed the sergeant-at-arms
Into leaving his post
And picking up Angel who
Just arrived here from the coast
Who looked so fine at first
But left looking just like a ghost.
I started out on burgundy
But soon hit the harder stuff
Everybody said they’d stand behind me
When the game got rough
But the joke was on me
There was nobody even there to bluff
I’m going back to New York City
I do believe I’ve had enough.

Hi. How’s it going? So good to be back where I belong. So good to have Bro 93 back from the wars; feisty as ever. But I wonder about ioan–been gone awhile.
It amazes me: the beauty of the language and the depth of insight I find here. Francoise told to listen carefully here, implying this is a microcosm of the universe; you know, Shakespeare’s mirror held up to the world.
There are so many left unnamed — and lookers who supply needed energy for those who labor at keyboards. Thanks to all.
A special shout-out to k above for that thought about poets. We’ve got a nice balance here of analysts, historians and eccentrics; I am surely in the latter category. My latest outlandish idea is of that of a love bower to complement the war room and cozy cafe. Don’t freak out, love-making is multidimensional well suited to a virtual place: imaginative, emotional, dreamy, mental, willful and in good order, not just physical which is largely ruled out in virtuality.
[This is for Bro 93. Others do well to skip over here. The two shocking books are by Joseph Atwill, entitled Caesar’s Messiah and Shakespeare’s Messiah. I just finished the second one. Nothing shocks me anymore but for most minds these are off the charts past 9/11 in shock and awe. Fortunately, we are experts in defense mechanisms, or this would blow the world to kingdom come. There are three subjects I know a little about because I spend so much time on them: the Bible (I was a priest), Shakespeare and Dylan Bob. I think Atwill is correct. If he ever writes a book on Dylan, I’ll buy it. If you value your worldview, don’t touch these books with a ten foot pole; even if you hate empires.]
I did my reading at the war room, calmed my churning mind here and now will go to the love bower where there’s little talk but good vibes. The virtual layout in my mind is this cafe at the front, the war room to the northwest and the love bower to the northeast. “I shall be released.” A womam’s triangle deep down in the earth, to subvert the false pyramids of power that have little or no worth.
See ya later, Florida alligator.
This might help stop the churning Denis:

Seems Atwill is a Zio-version of Dan Brown.
Man, tis aisy ‘shocked’ ye are!
That debunking review is like the NYT debunking Putin and Russia. I am not shocked or surprised. The ad hominem about Atwill not having credentials from academia only speaks in his favor.
Then forget them.
Ask instead how likely is it that no one has ever drawn the same parallels before? I mean, never?
It’s not like he’s unearthing new/hitherto concealed information.
And Atwill clearly does have a political agenda, so must be subject to scrutiny.
Two things: the Vatican owns more than 60% of Jerusalem. And Zion wants it – BB’s just reported meeting with Trump is the latest update. And they are well advanced with the Temple plans.
The second is the unprecedented looting of archaeological and historical artefacts in Syria, Iraq etc, which is allegedly the result of Wahaabi extremism. Yet they have been around for centuries, and never engaged in wholesale *erasure* of archaeology – only looting and burning. These treasures have withstood the effects of marauders of all kinds for millennia: until now.
And we know KSA/Usrael are two sides of the same coin as far as their respective elites/control centers go.
It’s as if someone/group are – literally – trying to rewrite history.
So I am highly suspicious of the Atwill theses on grounds that have nothing to with academic disdain: his ‘work’ just happens to dovetail too neatly with the agendas of Zio-fanatics.
Hi. Good questions. I love when I have to sharpen my mind on them.
First, why has no one uncovered this until now? Actually someone has which is the point of Atwill’s book on Shakespeare. He argues that the actual Shakespeare was a woman Jew who discovered the code the Roman Flavians were using to pacify or kill the Jews. She hated the Romans for this and got back at them with her own code.
The Flavians and Shakespeare were highly intelligent and masters at psy-ops. It’s difficult for us to understand the game being played, and way beyond this cafe. Someone would have to read the two books with an open and logical mind, with an acquaintance with the culture and literature of that time. A real intellectual challenge.
It was not discovered before because no one apparently was smart enough to get it, or did not want to go public. The religiously inclined would reject it from prejudice or fear. So would the powers of the world because it throws light on the workings of all empires. Academics would reject because they would lose their jobs by siding with it.
Atwill has a big ego but also a sensitivity to others’ feelings, since he delayed publishing his findings for several years.
Is he a crypto-Zionist? I see no evidence of that. I’ve read his books and some of his blog and some of his critics. If you have some evidence or rationale for that I’d like to learn it.
He may be sympathetic to the militant Jews who fought against Rome and the Greek and other empires before, simply because he does not like empires. Rome destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 CE. They developed a strategy to prevent these costly wars. Rome lost 50,000 men. They invented Christianity and Rabbinical Judaism to destroy the militant ideology but they had to do it in a very clever way so that few knew what was going on. The few that did could not go public and live.
Atwill is no dreamer. He documents his assertions. He’s a former computer expert where exactness is required.
I think the evidence shows that he has unearthed concealed information. I don’t see that he has a political agenda. I agree that groups rewrite history. Atwill certainly agrees with that.
I think his agenda is not hidden. He wants to get the truth out. I stand to be corrected but until that happens I stand on Atwill’s side. If I am wrong, I have no problem admitting it. Thanks for comment but I need evidence for your own assertions.
I said this was shocking information. I think that’s confirmed by the response to his work. Such information throws a light on where we are in our own education. The discussion must be on logical grounds if we are to help our children to a better future.
Good points.
Re Shakespeare: he’s not the first to claim he didn’t write his corpus. There have been many theories proposing other candidates – don’t remember them now, but I think Marvel was one.
Hard to believe a woman Jew would create Shylock – a perfect distillation of less-than-salubrious myths of Judaism (including the ‘pound of flesh’ as ‘blood-sacrifice.). I believe a woman Jew would have subverted the dominant Christian perception and made this character much more ambiguous – particularly if she was a subversive literary agent as Atwill claims.
It’s more credible that old Bill mined many sources and used the gossip available from his huge circle of aquaintznces. The problem with such a large corpus of work and the use of pre-standardized English (Johnson had yet to appear on the scene) in the heyday of English maritime/intl trade, is that it is very difficult hypothesize from a ‘purist’ baseline. Even the northern English spoken then had many different expressions compared to the South.
Elizabethan English was a rich mine, continuously in ferment.
Is Atwill an expert on linguistics/Elizabthan English? Did he consult with any?
It is also hard to see what political reasons there would be for a suppression of Atwills Shakespeare conspiracy – academia is full of far more controversial theses.
Logic is indeed to be commended, but I am not sure what application it has to an alleged centuries-old conspiracy – that’s a question of credibility. And motivation.
My brief ‘research’ on the net suggests Atwill strongly supports Israel, even if he is not a Zionist.
Not sure either what his IT expertise has to contribute to a credible case – I know quite a few coders, including in my own family and their coding skills certainly don’t extend to such issues. At least one of them has the kind of high-level skills sought by transnationals, but I wouldn’t rate his ‘unmasking/debunking’ talents any higher than mine.)
However, I do agree in examining the issue before dismissing it.
So far, your posts, though interesting, don’t suggest he has any case for either of his theses.
Woujd be willing to change my mind, but on much more solid foundations.
“Shakespeare: he’s not the first to claim he didn’t write this…” Depends which Shakespeare. The one from Stratford would not reveal the game and say he was not Shakespeare the author; nor is there any evidence he did so. Nobody claimed publicly that Shakespeare was not the author until modern times with more freedom and new investigative methods. There are many candidates for the real Shakespeare, like Edward de Vere. Emilia Bassano revealed that the Stratford man was a paid frontman in concealed code which has just come to light with Atwill. My opinion of course.
“Hard to believe a woman Jew would create Shylock…” She’s playing a dangerous game. If authorities caught on she would be killed, as was her friend and possible lover, Marlowe, who was the one who first caught on and wrote a book about it, which was destroyed. She had to appear to be anti-Jewish and a sincere convert to Christianity, and under that cover make her point for future generations. In her coded method, Shylock wins at the end, and therefore she is saying the Jews will win. But she has to paint Shylock as an evil monster to throw the empire of the time off the trail that would lead to her.
This is an extremely intricate story which intrigues me, and challenges my mind. Many games and sub-games being played which is typical of empires and those who resist them. Thanks. I may continue to comment on your comment if you don’t mind.
“It’s more credible that old Bill…etc.” If you mean Shakespeare, you are claiming the man from Stratford wrote the works. That is the point of dispute. Academia is invested in that thinking but many are not. Having a huge circle of acquaintances depends on who the author was, and even if that could be known it does not necessarily follow that his acquaintances were great in number. True, English was a rich mine…etc. but that argues against the man from Stratford, since much evidence indicates he could not even read, although as an actor he could remember lines. Emilia Bassano knew many languages, and had a vocabulary of 20,000 words, much larger than anyone we know about. She was no doubt well read with a remarkable memory, one of those rare geniuses. She was part of a family of highly educated people and probably did have many acquaintances but so did many others. Her works came from her native genius. In this brief space, much must be left unsaid. If anyone wants to know more or decide among the opinions, he or she would need to read Atwill’s books and if that is not enough, the sources that he cites. Thanks.
Interesting – thanks Denis.
As I haven’t read the book, you have me at a disadvantage.
However, I still stand by the ‘credibility’ issue. I still think a lack of expertise in linguistics and the treatment of a pre-standardized vernacular as a baseline from which to derive ‘coded’ – in the numerical sense – meaning compromises Atwill badly. Not least because even in the era of standardized vernacular language is still subject to interpretation.
For all anyone knows, the corpus of Shakrspears works could have been generated by a group, not an individual.
Note: thanks for the correction – I meant Marlowe, not Marvel ( always got Andy and Chris mixed up :-)
Am intrigued by the name ‘Bassano’. Wasn’t Bassanio Shylock’s victim?
Perhaps the author of the play was commenting on an affair between members of his own circle?
Wouldn’t it bolster the case for Marlowe being the true (or main author) if Bassono was his mistress? And the play was inspired by interpersonal al conflict (perhaps with her guardians who may have tried to end it?)
This is a brief critique of the Atwill ‘Flavian conspiracy’ by a scholar (also I think an atheist, and who also – though I am not certain about this, haven’t checked it – believes Jesus was a myth:)
I read The Saker’s 9/11 thread last night (and thought it was Brilliant – especially the comments). I even linked to it on a directly relevant article on the Front Page of The UK’s Independent this morning when completely sober (I didn’t even have a hangover)
I just want to thank you guys for a such a Brilliant Website…You are really helping to change the World for The Better…and You Guys have so much courage..
Thank You

This one is for your mate Dmitry Orlov who i read more than you but rarely if ever comment – cos whilst i know – he’s brilliant – there are some things i don’t completely agree with him – like total society collapse – and everything goes mad. Everything is already mad..Is it likely to get worse??? well I suppose it could…??
But we have absolutely no plans to move and have a bit of a garden in a place where there are a lot of trees…
In fact we are in the process of trying to remove tree stumps and lay new foundations (my son is doing most of the work)
And he told me to buy this chainsaw..and so I did – cos he’s bright – so he tried it – it worked great for a day or so…but it was connected to uk mains electricity….
He say’s dad – is it o.k. – if I take it back – and buy one that costs twice as much…???
I have just started to open the box…
This one is twice as big…and runs on petrol….(cost £50 more – and he didn’t even ask me for the £50 – nice lad)
A very clever boy – we might have a very severe winter in the UK – and all the power gets cut off. (windmills don’t work too well in a 3 month anti-cyclone when it is very cold and the wind doesn’t blow – like in the winter of 1963 when I was a little boy – and it was very cold – my igloo was still there at Easter – My brother and I built it at Christmas)
We can cut some trees down – if it gets very cold – can’t do that with no UK electricity…but we wlll be able to get some petrol. We also have an axe.
We have got a home with several generations to keep warm (and a fireplace and chimney that works)

“like in the winter of 1963 when I was a little boy – and it was very cold – my igloo was still there at Easter – My brother and I built it at Christmas”
Fancy you remembering that winter! So do I as it was my last real winter, not in England but in Portugal (northern). It was cold alright, our snowman was built on my birthday, lust a few days before yours, and it lasted to May!
Now it only snows on the mountains. What’s the cause of it? Global warming due to greenhouse gas emissions or one of those cyclical naturally occurring warm periods as in the early middle ages when England had home made wine?
The only “Good War” Tony Blair will ever have is when he meets his Maker – The DEVIL – he’s a right nasty bastard – even worse than Blair…Keep The Cnut Alive For as Long as Possible – and We will exhibit him in a Cage for one Day a Month for The Rest of His Life For Tourists to Entertain- Outside The Tower of London..
For the rest of each month – He can watch SKY TV and Tony Blair Videos in His Prison Cell
BBC should be back to O.K. by then..
It can’t be that hard…
What is wrong with you people??
How many of you have tried to arrest him???
I am not impressed.
Must try harder.

To try and illustrate the difference between us English and the americans…
Jimi Hendrix (a Real American Indian) couldn’t get any publicity whatsover in The USA…but arrived in the UK almost exactly 50 years ago today
Us English (especially in Lancashire) couldn’t care in the slightest what colour he was or what country he came from…Some of us might have seen the Beatles..but none of us had seen anything like This.

That reminds me of another American of colour who had a very hard childhood, tried to raise the only open to the blacks – music – but wasn’t allowed. She went to France and bloomed and even got the Legion d’Honneur for helping the Resistance during WWII. Josephine Baker.
Surely even the americans wouldn’t leave the cameraman on the moon? Think about it if you have ever used a video camera – and thought about how long it takes for s signal to get to the moon..and come back again…so you can see the effect of the change you just made – adjust the zoom – pull in a bit – and then pan upwards as the lunar module takes off. I think this is the NASA original – but the internet has been flooded with fakes since Dave McGowan’s death where there is no pan and zoom (which I find funny) though not Dave McGowan’s death – he did use to smoke a lot.

I Think the Americans are behaving like Scousers in a Nightclub in Liverpool and I turn up from Oldham. I do not speak in a Liverpool accent and I have no one with me – except my girlfriend who also does not speak in a Liverpool accent and we came without friends…
Just my girlfriend and me – but they trace a bit of Scouse in our voices (my brother lived just over the water – and Wigan and Oldham ain’t so far)
So Oldham(me) single handedly responds to a very provocative joke was it?? from a Scouser in a Liverpool night club.!!!!!
They were only words – and we kept giving them back to each other really strong, escalating…but instead of hitting each other – we couldn’t stop hinting at laughing (pretending not to smile) – and later had a cuddle and he rolled us a joint. I’m sure it must be easier to get into The Skull & Bones?
I don’t think The Russians will understand such behaviour – and they will just nuke New York & Washington if The Americans don’t stop seriously pissing them off.

Holy smorgasbord! I may bust a gut reading.
I’ve got 4 books open and Leary just gave me 2 more and Eimar is already warning of AZ traps. Caution: Risk of severe literary indigestion ahead! Damn the baloney! (whole ones look like torpedos) Full speed ahead!
I never read the DaVInci code, so I don’t have Dan Brown’s number yet. I hope that’s not a prerequisite to competence in what I am about to say. I hope I don’t put my foot in it by putting my best foot forward. It’s the only literary foot I’ve got at the moment, and I’m standing like a stork on the other one, so here goes, and let the literati come out of their smug superior artsy fartsy hiding places, and rip my pretensions to pieces.
Except, En garde! I have Pope’s Essays on Criticism at the ready, a formidable defensive weapon.
Back, back, ye Critical knaves!
But friends (and lovers, Dennis) over here, please in the literary corner of the Rue Yvonne Le Tac Café:
The novel I read, getting off the road September 21, was “The Breaking of Eggs”.
As Martin SEB would remind us about the Stalinist period, “You can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs.”
This is a novel written by an Englishman, that would initially warm the cockels of all leftist hearts in Cafe Le Saker, or Rue Yvonne Le Tac:
The protagonist, Feliks, 61 years old, living in Paris in 1991, on Page 3 says:
“……………….For the previous 36 years I had lived a life that others would perhaps call unusual and interesting, but which for me had long since become routine. In 1955 I started a small travel guide to the countries of eastern Europe. Like many things that turn out to be important in one’s life, it began almost by accident. I found myself out of work and needing to do something quickly. I was interested in travel. Particularly, I was interested in eastern Europe. At the time I was a member of the French Communist Party and the idea of explaining communist societies objectively to others appealed to me. It is true that there were relatively few tourists to eastern Europe at that time, but there were some and no French travel guides were catering to them.”
Now, in 1991, Feliks, a Pole who was sent with his brother, by his mother, at age 9, less than a week before the German invasion in 1939 to live with an aunt in Basle, Switzerland must sell his eastern European travel guide. With the difficulty inherent in regarding America as the capitalist enemy, he finds himself on a plane to New York, to meet a publisher said to be interested in purchasing his guide, lands, and settles in at his hotel around the corner from the publisher he must meet the following morning.
Page 58:
“In the evening, I examined carefully the options for my supper. I was used to hotels with a restaurant, but this hotel seemed to have four restaurants of varying formality and ethnicity. I decided to try the European Bistro, and I am afraid this is where my prejudices resurfaced. I am not an extravagant man, but by virtue of my work, I have naturally eaten out much of the time. I did not eat at expensive restaurants, but I ate a good ones, restaurants I had come to know well, over a period of many years. I was familiar with all of the main cuisines of Europe and I have to say that this monstrosity bore no relationship to any of them. Everything was a bastardized version of something else. There was nothing technically wrong with it, I suppose, other than that it was anodyne and pretended to an authenticity it did not possess. On top of that, the portions were so large that they were positively obscene. I could not possibly eat it all, but felt guilty about leaving it.”
23 years earlier, Feliks recalls his change of identity from Communist to leftist, after being approached by someone in the Party to do a drop of an important package, in return for a modest sum and more importantly to him, information about how to locate his mother on Poland:
Page 114:
“I was furious for having been duped, for having been forced to do something against my will by the trick of a promise that was broken. I was furious that the Party to which I had belonged for nearly 20 years, that I had served faithfully and unquestioningly, should use me of all people in such a cynical and dishonest way. I was also irrationally upset that I would now not be seeing Mama.
That was when I resigned from the Communist Party. It had nothing to do with the Prague Spring, as Oberman had suggested. I did not change my opinions. I did not cease to believe that the ideals of communism offered the best hope for the future of the world. But I was no longer willing to belong to a party that treated me in such a way. I saw the world a little differently after that, a little more skeptically, perhaps. Now I come to think of it, this was the moment when I changed the friends I saw, the friends I drank with. I think this was the moment that I started to describe myself as a leftist.”
Later to his enormous chagrin and dismay, Feliks discovers that the “Party member” arranging for him to do the package drop was Rene, an agent of the French Secret Services who was using him to smoke out a more important Party member than himself, and that in his stupidity and desperation to find his mother, the Party did not betray him, but rather, he betrayed the Party!
So, it was an interesting read, but what is my point?
Simply this: Fiction, and art are a not unimportant part of a current, global struggle. This novel, The Breaking of Eggs, is relevant not just because the protagonist, like Saker, was raised in Switzerland, but unlike Saker, became communist. No, what makes it relevant and dangerous is the “elephants in the room” that it leaves out, in its warm, witty, masterfully tidy wrapping up of the whole 1939-1991 historical drama told in highly personal terms.
And what is needed is a new talent from Russia or eastern Europe, to write a much, much better classic which will set the record straight and nail this English author for the elephant-sized omissions which render his nice story a pile of historical crap, whether he realizes it or not. And I rather suspect he does.
If anyone is interested in follow up on this theme, of specifically describing the “elephant” I am referring to, I am game. For now, I was thinking of shipping my copy to Saker. Unless he’s already read the novel.
Even then, perhaps he knows some geopolitically informed young Russian literary talent that has the energy and smarts to outdo the Englishman, and “mop the floor” with an effort of more profound art and truth, regarding eggs and omelets, and 1917-2016.
Or, alternatively, for the Book Club corner of the Café, perhaps there are already a few good Russian novels written since 1991 that are available in English translation? (Yes, I will order the books by Auslander, yes I will ask for the recommended list of reading on Russian Orthodoxy vs Western Churches. But I am also interested in whatever ,high quality literary fiction may be coming out of Russia. And if it isn’t, it sure ought to be!)

OK, I’m game.
Soon as I unwind
(If it’s all the same…)
A bit of rhyme
That suddenly came
Sneaking into my mind:
A restaurant restored the French to renewed lovemaking,
When their libidos (mon Diu!) endured some sapping.
Now the word is world-wide nearly everywhere applying,
For those in greater need of caloric intake than of napping.
Café au lait is definitely French as well,
As Parisians (I’ve heard them tell…)
Recommend milk of the vache, so they says
To smooth the bitter bean of Juan Valdez.
I’ve thought that bars and beer smelling dives
Packed with poor pindo populations wasted lives
Might also fill the yahoo redneck ale imbibing bill.
So let’s not forget, the ubiquitous bar and grill.
I thought a corner table or two in any of these might do,
Where rhyme schemes scrambled, and fiction too rambled,
Politically pregnant themes might be communally tweaked
Thoughtfully dissected, carefully analyzed and critiqued.
To fill such a vacuous void, it must, I think, be Russian.
In spirit, even if, the preponderant tongue is English.
So, what venue type for us to engage in such discussion?
What choices have we to choose from or to relinquish?
Then, it suddenly came to me, in a flash of inspiration!
There isn’t so much time to stop the Empire’s War on Russia.
Though slow to saddle up, we must ride fast, with animation!
Buistra, urge the ghosts of Pushkin, Blok! Da, every Sascha!
So, logically, it’s got to be the Bolshoi Book Bistro.
Bolshoi for all-inclusive multi-polar inputs from any Bistro of the mind anywhere, not square footage. Bolshoi for the “wide souled” Cossacks in Crimea in 2014, as VV Putin described them in Crimea: The Way Back Home. https://sputniknews.com/russia/20150331/1020271172.html
Because “Bistro” comes from Cossacks in Paris, circa 1815, demanding the restaurant caloric intake they required, “Buistra, buistra!” (Quickly! Quickly!)
http://russiapedia.rt.com/of-russian-origin/bistro
Could someone PLEASE tell RT to correct that date!!
1915????? I don’t think so!
But I had no idea any Cossacks chased any of Napoleon’s army all the way back to Paris, and that their hunger and impatience is responsible for every eatery worldwide called a “Bistro.”
Gosh! Ya larn sometin new every dawg-gone day!
Bravo Bro! The 93 I omit for poetry’s sake and affection for the name when I first met you; after which I cannot forget you.
Your idea of a Russian book club has inspired me with life when my soul was empty. The name is important, and whether you were joking or serious, Bolshoi Bistro Books will do.
I don’t speak and read Russian which puts me at a disadvantage. Fortunately, I now have Google which I just consulted by searching for Russian love poems. I hit upon the bowl at the end of the rainbow.
There are scholars who know Russian and offer various translations and explanations. All translations are deficient. An analogy is that I read Shakespeare and read and listen to Dylan. I would feel sad if I had to endure a translation, and I suppose that is what Russians feel.
Before your sunburst of an idea that lit up even the busy Saker, I was thinking about this cafe and my latest fantasy of a love bower. In my mind I tried to describe it but I’m no Shakespeare or Pushkin. Then came my sunburst: why not go to those who can describe a love bower, and suffer through the translation?
I have read a few of these translations and I feel the spirit of the words and emotions to some degree. I will probably share them here at the cafe which in my fantasy is not far from the love bower. I apologize in advance to cafeans who may take issue with my childishness, but bear in mind that at 76 I am into second childhood, which is natural to poetry and love.

Hi, my friend, hitting the road jack has did a good deal of inspiration to you, your poem is a masterpiece thoughts. Great job, keep it working, let your thoughts go out and the muses come in !
I am humbled by such kind words of support from two of the most lethal original founding legends of the Deadly Poets Society, (secret hideout: Café Le Saker…..known only to a few thousands. Well, in a global population that’s almost a secret!)
Dennis competes with Cupid in striking the heart, melting loathing (so abundant in politics that those we speak most of are those we love most to loathe…..) into loving. And turning geriatry into pediatry, simultaneously. No mean trick!
Meanwhile ioan outflanks all defenses and succeeds in offending all the senses. Especially smell. Which is of inestimable value, when taking on Full Spectrum Abomination. Yet, after piercing the Empire’s skivvies with his spear and arrow tips, ripping their Jockey seams asunder and stuffing their underlying garments in their astonished mouths, he leaves our naked foes there to gag on their own foulness, and being a sweetie-pie at heart, soothes the weary Warriors of Truth with softly glowing images of innocent youth, beauty, and veracity, for sooth! Preparing all to be even deadlier foes of lying lunatics and madmen bent on fear and domination.

Regarding cafe pictures, have you searched under “coffee shops?” There’s million of those which are not too different from cafes, except for food, and both serve coffee without which neither would survive. Who would know the difference other than purists, unless the picture said “coffee shop,” in which case I would not like it?

this is the image that i’m striving for … i’m just copying from another post ..
Many years ago during a cold Feburary in Belgrade I became enchanted with Belgrade’s cafes. These cafes were dark, smoke filled. and coffee infused, with the patrons bending across the tables as they intensely discussed the issues of the day. These mental images inspire the ‘Cafe’ theme here
so i am searching for photos which convey this sense. You being a poet .. understand the image and emotional content that i’m looking for.. it is not the classical mcdonalds. … however i’m also am willing to compromise …but not too much
