That interview with the Ukrainian journalist is more than a fantastic read: just like Code Red, it is important for people everywhere — and most especially in Ukraine — to read! This too should be sent far and wide. There is a lot of awful propaganda to counter and it really does make me wonder just what the “average” Ukrainian knows about the rebellion in the South East. This journalist was honest, a probably decent person, and he’d bought into the foreign fighters/terrorists myth and was still grappling with its remnants.
Hopefully he’ll be able to inform his fellow-citizens but you know, perhaps the best place to be conveying the truth is not here in The Belly Of The Beast — but rather, in the rest of Ukraine!!! The Galician criminals and thugs, no — but the ordinary people? THEY’RE THE ONES who need the videos, THEY’RE THE ONES who need the information!

I don’t expect to die in a FEMA camp but rather from the arms of my fellow citizens. But yes, whatever horrors we go through,
a) we will have richly deserved them for letting this happen, for being too busy with our petty little lives to bother with the real work of self-government for the last generation or two, and for buying into the lies and divisiveness with which we’ve been fed so we focus our anger and contempt on “those other guys” instead the creeps really running things; and
b) we will at least know that the truly innocent people living everywhere else on this planet will finally be safe from Our Unremittingly Evil Empire.
Here in Berlin I talk to each person that I see on the streets, in the supermarket, everywhere.
