In his recent article titled “Obama Out Not With a Bang, But a Whimper”, and in his regular eloquent and expressive style, Pepe Escobar nailed it. More need not be said about the Obama legacy, but this man, Obama, has had a personal effect on me, one that I cannot let go of without putting down on paper my own views of his infamous legacy.
I am by no means an expert on all international wheeling and dealing that American administrations do. And speaking of Pepe, I have read with great interest his articles about how the Empire has been involved in different forms of intervention in Brazil, Pepe’s homeland. And to pre-empt comments that will argue that Obama has inherited a huge mess from his White House predecessor, I will take all of those issues on board and “confess” that this article is about the general perception of the Obama legacy from an outsider’s view; especially from a Levantine like myself.
To evaluate Obama, we have to wind back the clock to the time when he put his hand up for the Democratic Party nomination. Is this guy for real? Many, including myself thought. After all, not only he was of African roots (ie black), but his name was not exactly Jesse Jackson or even Martin Luther King. His name was Barack, in fact an Arabic word, which means “bright”, and his surname is Obama; a far cry from Smith. But what is even “worse”, is that his middle name, his father’s “Christian” name was not even Christian; it is the Muslim name Hussein.
That guy, by virtue of his name, not necessarily skin colour, had no chance to lay a foot onto the White House floor, I and many others thought.
History proved all the pundits to be wrong, and admittedly, Obama led a very effective campaign against the Republicans. After two terms of having a moron by the name of George W. Bush (GWB) in the White House, two unfinished and unwinnable wars, a crumbling economy, Americans were ready for a change. The youthful, eloquent, extremely intelligent candidate Obama presented himself to be anything but a part of the “establishment”. With his amazing gift of speech, he won the hearts and minds of not only Americans, but also many overseas.
His “Yes We Can” slogan was very effective to bring home the concept that if Americans unite, they can do what seems to be impossible.
Soon after his inauguration, he was quick to go to Egypt to talk to Arabs, specifically Muslims, to tell them that America was on the verge of taking a new direction in its Middle East policies.
He chose Egypt because despite its position post Camp David agreement with Israel and the peace treaty that followed, despite the fact that for decades after that Egypt was regarded in the eyes of the Muslim World as a “traitor” of the cause, Egypt remained to be the Arab World’s leading country at many levels. Moreover, Egypt houses Al-Azhar University, the most highly acclaimed University for Islamic studies worldwide.
So everything about this young President seemed different, and love him or hate him, even his staunchest of critics regarded him as being such. Even the Nobel Prize committee could not overlook that difference and the hope it brought humanity to the extent that they jumped the gun, rather prematurely as history proved, and rewarded the man with a Nobel Peace Prize.
I must admit that I was one of millions worldwide who hoped that Obama was going to derail the traditional American foreign policies and set them on a new course. Even the very savvy Israeli leaders were worried that he would.
It didn’t take too long however to see that in effect Obama changed his slogan from “Yes We Can” to “No I Cannot”. What is even worse, is that in the not too distant future, his slogan seemed to have change again to “No I Would Not”.
When he finally admitted that he was unable to close down Guantanamo Bay prison, I remained hopeful that he would make a dignified speech and resign. But he did not, and even had the audacity to run for a second term.
Once again, in pre-empting comments that will “defend” Obama and talk about his domestic achievements; Obama Care and the like, I must admit selfishness and proclaim that when it comes to Obama Care, I don’t care. This is not to mean that I do not support proper government-funded health care programs; especially for the underprivileged, but with America being the leading nation of the world, the nation that wants to be the only superpower, its national health program, or lack of it, does not affect the rest of the world; and this is fact. The policies that American administrations undertake, and which interest the world outside the USA, are those pertaining to foreign policies, and nothing else does.
During his first term as President, one could easily observe how his great vision of being “the one” that will save America and the world was gradually and surely eroded.
In fact, a good analysis of Obama’s Cairo speech and what followed it is a clear indication that the only achievement of Obama’s visit to Cairo was to empower the Muslim Brotherhood and give them cover. In effect, his visit was not a formal visit to meet the head of the state (Mubarak). Rather, his meeting was with the opposition, the Muslim Brotherhood, and on their turf, Al-Azhar University, greeting them with “Assalamu Alaikom” (peace be upon you), the traditional Muslim salute. Whilst in effect there is absolutely nothing wrong at all in America opening up to the Muslim World for a change, however the chain of events that followed that speech only indicate that the speech was the first step towards the infamous Arab Spring turned-sectarian, anti-secular pan-Arab series of devastating wars. That speech had many subtle messages, and to think that Obama did not choose his words carefully would be rather impossible to fathom. When he mentioned that he endearingly remembers as a young boy growing up in Indonesia how he listened daily to the Azan (call to Muslim prayer), he was stirring up Muslim emotions, that he knew very well that only fundamentalists would respond to, and can respond to, in the manner that they did. Bluntly, he gave them the green light; “revolt, and I understand you”. That was his version of “Yes We Can” to the Muslim World. The rest is history.
Soon after taking off the “Yes We Can” hat and replacing it with the “No I Would Not” hat, a process that did not take very long at all, Obama stopped worrying about how to be the good President he promised the world to be. So not only he became a part of the “establishment”, but also its face, mouth piece and apparatus.
The irony that followed is that not only he failed to be a good President, but he also failed to be a bad President.
Speaking of bad Presidents, we need a yard stick, a bench mark, and perhaps GWB is that yard stick with a score of 10 out of 10. His “excuse” was his much lower than average IQ, but at least he was good at being a bad President. But Obama could not reach this score either. Perhaps he scores 7 or 8 out of 10.
When GWB decided to go to war, twice, he did. Those were disastrous wars not only for Iraq and Afghanistan but for the rest of the world including America itself, but this is how bad Presidents are made. But when Obama decided to declare war on Libya and Syria, he went there half-hearted. On one hand, he wanted to change regimes, but on the other hand he did not want to invade. And whilst regime change succeeded in Libya, it failed abysmally in Syria and nearly half a million people died as a result.
This is not in any manner, shape or form a criticism for him for not invading Syria, but a criticism of his incompetent, reluctant and spineless character. If anything, I feel extremely delighted that he failed in Syria, and Syria’s inevitable victory is not only the outcome of her resilience and the support of her international friends, especially Russia, but it was also the outcome of Obama’s failure. This win, and American failure with Obama at the helm, will see a whole change in global polarity and the end of the New World Order as we know it; partly courtesy of Obama.
Obama’s stand on Syria is not much different from his stand in Ukraine and the South China Sea. Take the world to the brink of war, and then step back; not totally, but the Obama style.
And what about his stand on Yemen? This is the war that the world remembers to forget. Obama will not support the Saudis enough to win but he won’t stop the carnage either. In the meantime, tens of thousands of Yemenis have perished and millions are facing starvation; again, courtesy of Obama and cohorts.
The impact of Obama’s action and inaction on America’s traditional opponents is in reality infinitesimal in comparison to the confusion and traps that he has set for America’s traditional allies. I will leave it to Western European analysts to write about Obama’s legacy with the EU, but it is suffice for me to say that Obama’s policy in creating a needless tension between Western Europe and Russia is best described as an “after me the flood” policy. He is now walking away, leaving behind Western Europe with a flood of refugees and a huge crisis with Russia and a surging right wing reaction. In the Levant/Middle East, America’s traditional allies are Israel, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Obama angered Israel with his nuclear deal with Iran, and yet he did not enact it. He also angered Saudi Arabia by the same deal, and added insult to the Saudi injury by not responding to their calls to help them out of their mess in Syria and in Yemen. As for Turkey, he almost completely severed American ties with the NATO member that has the second largest army after the US, and left Erdogan closer to Putin’s Russia than he is to Obama’s America. After the recapture of Aleppo by the Syrian Army, Erdogan is now even losing his popularity in the Sunni Muslim World; again and again, courtesy of Obama care-not. This is needless to say that hardly a week goes by without a massive suicide attack hitting the streets of Turkey.
Some might argue that Obama’s reluctance in making decisions that meant a higher level of involvement is the result of wisdom, but wise leaders to do not stoke fire in the first place and then sit back to watch it go wild. Obama’s reluctance is due to the fact that the “world’s most powerful man” is an incurable hesitant, recalcitrant, hopeless, hapless and incompetent wimp.
With a series of failures scattered across the globe, the capitulation of the Jihadists that he sponsored and abetted in Aleppo was the icing on the cake that Russia and Syria offered to him as a farewell gift to his tenure at the White House.
Obama failed to be a good President and he was too weak to even be remembered as a bad President. He will probably be remembered as the most spineless American President in history.
His only achievement perhaps is that he taught us to never feel confident about any hope coming from the White House. This is why when it comes to Trump, we need to exercise this caution. Whilst it is true that many of the steps and declarations that President-elect Trump has made were done after his election win and not before, and whilst therefore they are not election promises per se that were made to gain votes, and whilst it is also good to keep in mind that more than likely he means those promises because he had no reason to make them otherwise, we must always remember Obama’s disappointment. As we analyze Trump therefore, we must qualify our analysis by saying “if” he keeps his promises.
That was Obama’s single legacy of success, a legacy of instilling doubt in the White House even when a seemingly “extraordinary” President takes its residence. At all other levels, Obama leaves nothing behind but a legacy of failure.
Well, yes, President Obama is neither a good president, nor a very bad one. I think it’s safe, and not fake, to call him moderate. You know, just like the terrorists the US covertly supports.
Before you declare Obama a failure, you must first know what he was trying to do.
Dinesh D’Souza make a convincing case in his 2012 movie “2016: Obama’s America” that Barack Obama is first and foremost an anti-colonialist. These are the “Dreams From My Father” he wrote of in his biography.
His mother was a Leftist. He grew up steeped in anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-colonial ideology with a strong dose of Marxism. His Kenyan father, who did not raise him but corresponded with his son, was a fervent anti-British activist. Barack’s “godfather” who lived with the family in Hawaii while he was a child was Frank Marshal Davis, a leader of the American Communist Party in Chicago.
Barack Hussein Obama, odd as it might seem, is deeply anti-American. The pastor of his Chicago church, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, celebrated the attacks of 9/11 by exulting “… America’s chickens are coming home to roost … not God bless America, God DAMN AMERICA …”. Barack’s only lament was that his firey pastor ” … has to tell the truth”.
It was his intention to diminish the United States and make amends (by means of his unending apologies to the world) for what he sees as the legacy of imperialism.
He didn’t care much about the details of policy. He is personally lazy and undisciplined, and he left the hard work to his party’s corruptocrats. The trigger-happy, venal moron Hillary Clinton and others.
If Obama’s legacy is, as you so eloquently state, the diminution of the United States, the upending of the post Cold War world order, and the trivialization of the Presidency … then he has succeeded.
BS (edited MOD).
Sorry mods for the one liner but I will try and get back to this one later.
Jeffery Coley, look into why Duterte is so anti US.
Are you his official apologist or what? Face up to it, the infidel man was a simple tool, and didn’t believe in anything (excepting in his own profit, power and glory) had no moral compass and sold himself and his soul out as a prostitute political actor to achieve the aims of his globalist imperialist masters.
Nothing more or less, the man’s (if you can even call him that) legacy is but a murdering imperialist destroyer of sovereign nations in the ME and NA and it’s hapless colored indigenous people.
Get real and call a spade a spade and a genocidal warmonger for what he really is, Obama is nothing but a criminal thug, that ought be tried in the Hague for aggression and crimes against all of humanity and then strung up by his limp neck.
Sorry but there are no excuses for a treasonous traitor of the American constitution and all of humanity, that deserves no less than what was meted out to his Nazi predecessor counterparts.
I think the key to understanding Obama is the spot-on assessment the he wasn’t even good at being a bad president. The legacy of Barack Obama is one of failure – a series of bad ideas poorly executed.
Barack Obama is an extreme narcissist who lives in an alternative universe of his own imagining. Whatever his intentions and despite his grandiose opinion of his abilities, he frittered away his 8 years as president enjoying the trappings of the office, living like a king, gazing at his own reflection in the mirror.
I am not kidding you – Barack Obama genuinely believes that he is leaving the United States a much more prosperous, happy nation than ever before in history. He furthermore believes that the entire world is safer and more just because of his wise leadership.
As far as he is concerned he earned that Nobel Peace Prize. In fact, he probably thinks they ought to give him another.
Because he is lazy he left all the details to corruptocrats in his party, which as we all know meant in practice that the “Deep State” ran amok under the guidance of some truly horrific people. Hillary Clinton is the best known of these: She was so corrupt it would make any 3rd world dictator green with envy. Her chief advisor, Huma Abedin, is an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood. Apart from enriching herself by a couple hundred million dollars Hillary Clinton rampaged across the Middle East making the world safe for the Muslim Brotherhood.
“Barack Obama is an extreme narcissist who lives in an alternative universe of his own imagining”
Well, that is very much a Pindo national trait in my view. Explains exactly why the more powerful among them cause so much squalor, misery, and chaos in the world.
If you could read my post and think it’s an apology for Obama you need to slow down.
I opposed Barack Obama in 2008 because I knew then what he was – a radical leftist, of the American “campus left” variety. An effete species commonly found smoking dope in dorm rooms, pontificating about how guilty they feel about being so privileged.
He is also a Chicago Democrat, meaning he comes out of the most corrupt Democratic machine in the United States. And that’s saying something!
As president he proved every bit as bad as I feared, and perhaps worse.
You might think it an exaggeration to claim that Obama says one thing while doing something completely opposite, but it’s true. That’s why you will never go wrong listening to what he says ironically.
Your rant is full of inconsistencies. First by implying O’Bomber was “leftist” through his upbringing and influences, namely his mother and Davis, a black activist without a political orientation and a businessman, claiming he was a communist leader.
O’Bomber was a spineless puppet without any political or moral conviction, a stooge and a traitor to his race. These “qualities” were the reason for his being chosen (not elected, because there are no proper elections in the US) and was part of the ongoing PC soft revolution to depoliticize and enfeeble the people to be readily subjugated by the Zionist-neocon cabal. Besides he would not have been chosen unless the Tribal Elders of Zion had consented and, if you want to test a person “leftism”, all you have to ask is: “Do you support/agree with the Zionist state?”
“Barack Obama is first and foremost an anti-colonialist”
…and Hillary Clinton is first and foremost a staunch anti-militarist. No wonder the Pindo military dregs face defeat after defeat. At last the wool has been pulled off the world’s eyes (not).
Barack Obama is an “anti-colonialist” or “anti-capitalist”?!
ROFLOL.
If only that were true.
The Alt Right is so out of touch with reality that they actually take Obama’s “progressive” image at face value.
Barack Obama approved the trillion dollar bailout of Wall Street in the form of TARP. And the Predator Drone President, armed with his weekly Kill List, has been waging American imperial (proxy) warrs throughout the world from Libya to Syria to Iraq to Yemen to Afghanistan/Pakistan.
Barack Obama is no different than every other American regime leader of the past or most likely of the future, like the Alt Right’s political darling, Donald Trump.
Obama serves the interests of the American Empire–in particular, Wall Street and the US Military Industrial Complex.
However, Barack Obama was put into power in order to “rebrand” the American Empire with a more progressive veneer after the Bush Regime.
That is, instead of the unilateralist, right wing warmonger of George Bush leading America, Obama would represent a liberal, multicultural, Nobel Peace Prize-winning “humanitarian” imperialist leading America.
Barack Obama: The Empire’s New Clothes
http://www.blackagendareport.com/content/barack-obama-empire%E2%80%99s-new-clothes
Whereas Bush (and Donald Trump) represent the right wing of the American Empire, Obama (and Clinton) represent the “left” wing of the American Empire.
All political factions in the USA, however, support the American Empire’s full spectrum dominance of the world–the only differences are the mask they wear and the tactics they use.
P.S. The American Empire deserves to be diminished and indeed defeated. The USA is guilty of serial criminal wars and state terrorism on a planetary level. Deep down, Americans are paranoid about their empire’s “diminishment” because they fear that the rest of the world will no longer brook America’s unipolar tyranny–and there will be hell to pay.
America will not escape Judgement Day, and it will face its day of political reckoning.
While I agree with much of what you say, but we will just have to wait and see if your lumping Trump in with all the past puppets proves to be true or we will find out that he’s actually his own boss-man. Else tell me why the political establishment, the CIA and their controlled Media are still in a hysterical fit trying to do everything in their power to stop Trump from ever being inaugurated and becoming the next US President? Is it all just to air all their dirty underwear out in public or what?
Dear Oxford English Dictionary, might I suggest an additional meaning for the word ‘moderate’?
Moderate – a terrorist in sheep’s clothing.
I think it was actually Putin who was wondering over the exact meaning of “moderate rebels”, asking rhetorically: They behead gently?“
That guy, by virtue of his name, not necessarily skin colour, had no chance to lay a foot onto the White House floor, I and many others thought.
But Ghassan, this is precisely why he was installed ! It was because he was the living antithesis of everything American.
We watched as prayer in schools and nativity scenes in town squares were outlawed — these reminded the people Yockey called the Culture Distorters that they were a spiritually alien minority. For the same reason, Easter as public holiday was done away with and replaced by Martin Luther King day — another calculated defiance of the impotent majority, using their control of the political process to outlaw honoring the defining event of their traditional orientation and replacing it with a symbol of theirs. (Not in the sense that reform was not long overdue, but because their continual agitation around this made many come to see it as yet another conquest in the ongoing kulturkampf.
Eventually, all expressions of the our historic civilization’s traditional values that made us a relatively coherent culture were attacked and made criminal offenses. Women were set against men, children against adults, and the rest of it. Even grammar. It was (and is) transparent psychological warfare — softening up and destroying the basis of potential resistance.
Finally, a man who was not even an American — an alien in almost every imaginable respect (and a homosexual to boot) — was installed as the ultimate possible in-your-face proof of their ultimate control. If you need a familiar parallel, it is the way a street gang moving into a new territory spray-paints its graffiti on buildings to announce its control.
That is the “why” of Barak Obama.
IMHO.
Empires always install local traitors to rule.
It is not only your HO, but many other people’s (yours truly included) considerate opinion that that was the case since the announcement of Obama’s candidacy in Feb. 2007.
In the March issue of the ‘New Yorker’, Seymour Hersh published the article “The Redirection. Is the Administration’s new policy benefitting our enemies in the war on terrorism? A Strategic Shift”, article to which I direct people who want to understand what was on the drawing boards of the neo-con cabal. The old plan to pit the Muslim (Sunni) world against Russia, China and Iran. Reactivation of Muslim Brotherhood plans for ME, America, Europe and Asia. Making of “LGBT” a ‘human rights’ weapon against Russia and China. Reactivation of the old plans of making Ukraine an ‘Israel on the Dnieper’ (and Crimea an Israel on the Black Sea, with some Caucasian annexes).
The smashing of Syria was an essential part of this funambulesque plan (which actually was an elaboration of the infamous Oded Yinon plan of 1982; the 1982 Hama revolt – which closely followed the launching of the ‘plan’ must be replicated, with the accompanying demonization of the ‘Assad dynasty’). The Assads proved to have more balls than expected. And what should have been the big prize of the ‘Arab Spring’ – an anti-Syrian Egypt, turned out to be the small stump that fell great oaks. And the Russians, ah, these bloody Russians…(they always hack our plans)!
Barack was not born in America, but he was born in the Company and the world is their oyster. His mother was an anthropologist who used kinship to tease apart Sukarno’s political support.
You can’t feel sorry for christians being denied christmas & easter when they forcefully destroyed 1000s of festivals & cultures in their own ascendancy.
I made my children watch Obama’s inauguration, it was hard not to get swept up in the History of it. It was also such a relief to see the end of Bush, and Howard here in Australia. We could feel the Hope and Change, and of course our enemies used this against us. The best way to lie to someone is to tell them what they want to hear.
So he has been a lame duck since Obamacare flopped over six years ago. Syria is on him, so is Yemen, so is the Ukraine. As much as I hated every second of the Bush/Howard years, at least they represented the Truth. Obama was back using the old CIA playbook of covert war and deniability; the Syrians are just as dead for the subterfuge. I hate to say I actually preferred Bush, at least his crimes drove more people into the Opposition. But I feel the world is waking from a long slumber, and the lies through the MSM don’t seem to be having the same effect. Maybe we are past the tipping point, and nothing can save the AngloZionist Empire. Nothing short of mutually-assured destruction that is.
Goodbye Obama, you weren’t the worst, and in some way the lie you represent has helped to wake people up. We will give Trump a go, and when he fails, what then? Will we finally learn that nobody can represent us, that this is our power to use or discard? Enough false prophets and fake populists. The crown is in the gutter, just waiting for you to pick it up and put in on. Rule yourself first, the world will then take care of itself.
“Rule yourself first”
The theme of Don Quixote’s choice for a governor in Spain Sancho Panza (paunch) if I recall correctly.
At least Sancho was not a narcissicistic lying SOB.
I think a lot of the feeling was being free of Bush, and in comparison Obama seemed positively cultured. But even before the election, this point kept me grounded. I had read that Chicago, in fact the whole state of Illinois, has been sown up by a deal between the Democrats and the Mob. Called The Machine, every major public office in the State is controlled by this political organisation. The fact than Obama rose through this system told me he was compromised.
It was clear that the fix was in with Obama when he started making cabinet appointees. They were all hold-overs from Bush. Especially Larry Summers. The play started with the repeat vote in Congress to “get it right” as far as bailing out the TBTF-ers went.
I recall watching the Inauguration at a local inn that invited the public in to watch it on their giant-screen TV. I recall very clearly thinking, “I am going to happy for a day.” Not worry about what I suspected might be coming. It was grand to see that helicopter lift off, ending eight years of Bush hell.
Then came the bit where the camera followed Obama as he walked through the hallways of the Capitol, on his way to step out onto the balcony and greet the roaring 2million-plus crowd spread out below. And as he walked, and the camera was framed close in on his face, I was appalled by what I saw there. Namely, nothing. The face was a mask, no emotion except extreme hauteur/conceit. To me it did not look like simple seriousness. It looked dreadful. It sent a shiver up my spine. The man was, and still is, a total enigma. Maybe he was laughing inwardly about the fast one he had pulled! “I made it!!” Ha ha ha.
Information on the background to all of Obama’s speeches (also before he became president) is available in a published work. It is clear that Obama was being groomed and was well funded well before the keynote speech at the Dem National Convention in Boston in 2004—his “breakout” role. The maneuvering behind the scenes to get him into that spot was cut-throat. In other words, already there was a faction pushing “their boy,” although he had zero political experience or cred. He was young, good-looking, well educated, and not too black.I did vote for him in the primary, but soon after his election, came to regret it. At that point I wished I had voted for Hillary! Now we know that they are two peas in a pod, and both of them have done huge harm to the Democratic Party, to this country, and to millions internationally. Appointing Hillary SecState was probably the worst move of Obama’s White House career. Now, of course, this loser Obama is set for life at the cost of us, the taxpayers. And people bitch about Putin living high on the hog!!! I think one comment I saw somehwere—that Obama jsut wanted to enjoy the perks of the job—probaby kind of hits the nail on the head. He had no actual interest in the people who had elected him. When on vacation he just holed up or went golfing. As much as Bill Clinton disgusts me, I think he did actually enjoy hanging out with normal people and wasn’t a total misfit among them. Obama is a very cold fish.
Katherine,
I am working on Earthrise’s Third Law of Geopolitics: Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I would not be here if Bush/Howard had not invaded Iraq. Every time they lie to us, every time they foist a fake candidate on us, more people awaken. The Sandernistas were there because Obama let them down. Now that Sanders has also let them down, I am hearing the call go out for a real socialist alternative in the States. By funneling all the wealth upwards, and destroying the middle class, they are creating the reaction, the resistance needed to overthrow them; at the same time removing their positive propaganda of the ‘American Dream’. If these parasites had the self-control to just operate under our perception they could have grafted off of us indefinitely. But greed/power/selfishness knows no bounds; they always over-reach. The over-reach wakes up the Opposition; Obama was one false-prophet too far. Trump will do the same for the ‘Right’, then the People will meet in the town square for a very serious chat.
Watch the policies, not the man. Listen to what is said, not how it is said.
This should be the formula for evaluation if you wish to know what is happening.
Jiri,
I would add; don’t listen to what they say, don’t even judge them be what they do. Judge them by the results of their actions. A bad tree cannot give good fruit.
Obama failed to be a “bad” president, because he was an evil, lying, malicious, narcissistic, treasonous, murderous bastard, who utterly betrayed the American people and who brought systematic death and destruction to one nation after another.
Have to say this, not out of vanity or a sense of ” I told you so” but from the start I never out of pure instinct was ever taken in or believed a single word Obama uttered about “peace” or “hope and change”.
Thus I was not disillusioned nor disappointed by anything he did. Tho deeply dismayed and disheartened by the level of human destruction and devastation the poor excuse of a man achieved.
In contrast I trust Trump to be an honest crook and to mean and keep his word. (unless of course he and his families life is severely threatened).
Difference between the two is simply this, Obama’s always been a lying actor and puppet of the deep state from the start. While for all his faults, I believe that Donald is his own boss man.
Guess only time will tell if my gut instincts are right or not. But nothing I detest more than a hypocritical lying phony that will stab you in the back, give me a genuine thug, instead of a deadly slithering poisonous snake to deal with and confront any day, rather than that abomination of a living thing named Barack Hussein Obama.
May a special place in Hell be reserved for him and all his globalist deep state puppet master buddies for all of eternity.
Amen.
Very well said. One just can tell. I never trusted him one little bit either. I happened to see a part of Barry Davis’ inaugural concert with Pete Seeger. That’s the first time I was actually very impressed. Not at all by Barry Davis, I remember getting the feeling that he was a miserable charlatan, because he was not singing along (with Pete Seeger and the crowd) even one little bit, but by Pete Seeger & the crowd.
Well, it sure turned out that he was !00% a deep state puppet, as the Bushes & Clintons. but even more a complete hoax, and complete fraud. The real Obamas in Kenya, also defrauded, feel the same. The charlatan is Frank Marshall Davis’ son, son of a whore, and CIA agent Barry Davis, Saudi/ISIS educated in Pakistan, and if one only takes the time to look into it, then there’s really no doubt about that at all.
Malcolm X nailed it: this House Drone Man doesn’t belong in the field.
His only claim to fame at the time was that he was not GWBush, and for the elites-in-charge he projected the fake media PR image of ‘hope for change’ narrative using the ‘blackman’ (next to be the female) president meme. The simulacrum was simply an empty suit at work with a nasty addiction to extrajudicial murder on Tuesdays. Basically a small time hustler from Chicago tarted up to play the part of the nation’s Uncle Tom.
And a nice slap in da face for the drone’s clone …

“Judge Jeanine Slams “Hopeless” Michelle: “Americans Rejected You And Everything You Stand For””
“Michelle, you may not realize it, but Americans rejected you and everything you stand for. They know what hope is. Hope is when people, 30,000 at a time, stand in line, in the cold, with their children, hoping to get the glimpse of a man they think can change the course of their lives from the downward spiral that you and “Mr. Hope & Change” have put them on.” (ZH)
One cannot judge Obama’s success or failure compared to most previous presidents because he is literally unlike any previous president. Not because of the color of his skin, but because he is, at least from what I can tell, the first president groomed for the spot from youth and installed by the CIA.
If one looks there are many odd facts about the young Barak Obama. From his vacationing in the home of a Pakistani who would later become the head of Pakistan’s “CIA”, the ISI, when he was in college.
Then there is the fact that for the first half dozen years after he graduated from Harvard Obama worked for what we now know was a CIA front company. Nobody has ever inquired into what exactly the young Obama did for the CIA.
Then he becomes the “community organizer” of myth and lands a cush position as a professor of nothing less than constitutional law.
He runs for the legislature essentially unopposed. He then lands a prime time speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention, really… Two years later he is running for US Senate and wins when his opponent was forced out of the race late and the only replacement the republicans could put up was another Black man, Alan Keys.
Two years after than he runs for POTUS and defeats the Clinton machine and the republicans in the fall to become the first Black POTUS. He wins this election because of his stance as an anti-War reformer who was going to go to Washington and put an end to the wars and Bankster bailouts. Essentially continuing on with the same policies imposed by our elites under Bush II before him.
So tell me again, Who and What is Barak Obama? If judged on the basis of the first true “Munchurian President”, I would say he has been quite successful for his masters.
Good points and I can’t agree more with your poignant assessments. It’s got to be clear to every thinking person that Obama was a PR hyped set up stunt from the get go to deceive the American electorate after all the years of devastation the Bush regime had wrought. A new black boss face, but the same old Anglo/Zionist Globalist program recycled again under a new brand name. And most everyone bought into it. Brilliant strategy. Now we’ll soon see it Trump’s just the same old game or an anomaly and truly an outsider and an anti – NWO – establishment renegade or not.
He was just another puppet amongst many others. He did what he was told to do, he said what he was told to say, he was given a job to do and he did it as he was told to do it. It was nauseating watching him give his speeches at the UN, such arrogance! It was nauseating of watching him meeting with other so-called world leaders, raising glasses of beer, doing photo ops, laughing at jokes, kissing babies, dancing away all the while the world burned (Nero comes to mind). And when he goes, good riddance!
II generally avoid commenting on US politicking but I make an exception today and wish to make a short statement suitable for a headstone epitaph:
“He was made first black American president”
Just note one thing, Obama is no more black than Hillary is a female or a feminist, they both use gender identity and equality to play on the misogamist and racist feelings of guilt embedded deep in the psychic of most of us, for their own political manipulations, advantage and ends.
If we were truly guilt free, we would not vote for them or give them the time of day as they deserve neither. It’s my premise that the only reason that they garner all the blind hysterical fanatical support that they do, is that we are all collectively trying to absolve ourselves of the guilt that we subconsciously feel.
Take away race and sex from the equation, and what’s left but two woefully inadequate and corrupt presidential candidates not worth even seriously considering.
Yet they rule us, preoccupy and dominate our discussions about not much of nothing of substance, while they have their own way with us and commit horrendous crimes against us and all of humanity.
Is it not time to stop this insanity and say goodbye to SJW (Social Justice Warriors) politics, and get on with solving all of humanities problems regardless of nationality, gender or race?
I never saw obama as anything other than a zionazi PR tool to further concentrate their power and carry out their ziofascist geostrategic and totalitarian domestic agenda. Choosing a “black” person would neutralise a lot of opposition that another “bush” would face. Also, and this shows the inherent bigotry and supremacism of Jewish zionists, he being black and with a Muslim sounding name, his required and what would soon become obvious duplicity would discredit both black and Muslim people in the eyes of the pindo electorate and would help prevent blacks and Muslims getting elected in the future for a long while.
The Essential Saker, page 204: ” Bush light “….” more of the same, only worse “
Yes, vot tak, he is both the first and the last black american president.
Obama was just too cool to do the job.
John F Kennedy put a man on the moon,
Barack Peddling Fiction Obama put a man ………………..in the ladies room
And that about says it all about our “Peace Prize” murderer Barry’s toilet shit legacy to all of humanity. May there be a very special place in the devils piles of dung heap in hell for Obama to pontificate about his woman’s and gender equality, and racial rights, prosperity, peace. hope and change for all of eternity. Else God have more mercy than I can muster on his twisted and perverted soul that can kill innocent women and children with drones on schedule every Tuesday without batting an eye and then going off to the golf course. Bottom line is that there is no justice on earth. So our only hope left is that the perpetrators will yet find it in hell.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame me, fool me thrice shame on me….when will this insanity end! Barack Obama RIH.
To be fair to Obama, he was only doing what the US could financially afford to to. Anything more, like an invasion of Libya or Syria, and the US would have collapsed economically USSR style.
“To be fair to Obama” He did exactly what was in his and his masters own best interests, as such he is fully accountable (as were the Nazi’s in the Hague) for the destruction and heinous war crimes he has committed. Make no excuses or apologizes for a Godless immoral excuse for a man.
The above article presumes that a US president is a free agent who can articulate and implement policy. The reality is that a shadow power is at all times in control and Obama had no choice other than doing what he is told.
Oh really? He had choice alright. If he did not agree with what he was being told to do he could have said no. If necessary he could have resigned. Just remember, he made the choices he made and he is responsible for what he did. That the Nuremberg defense (in all its variants and permutations) is invalid remains fact.

And who exactly forced Obama to run for the US empires presidency and prostitute his soul to the deep state oligarchy may I ask?
Good analysis, but is there not a logical flaw? I believe the “post hoc fallacy” seems to occur in the author’s hypothesis that Obama fails at all these things because he’s a “wimp” . I propose that a non-wimp might well have also failed, and this alternative explanation seems to accord better with both the historical pattern and the geopolitical flow on things.
This new and more plausible general hypothesis naturally implies a serious questioning of the founding assumptions – including this: Does the office actually have the power to make policy?
If not, and this question needs exploration, then who does?
I have read opinions that express the idea that the party-in-power ihas zero intent to relinquish power.
I observe that their options in all arenas are closing. History suggests they’ll go to war. Period.
Failure is not an option…zero options always means that, alas, violence is proximate. Pity!
Before the elections of 8 years ago I obtained (I forget from whence) a picture of a young Obama sandwiched between George Soros and Lord Jacob Rothschild. That’s why I never voted for him.
Good point, I think the man was a set up and Manchurian candidate from the start. Can you send me a link to that infamous photo op? Thx.
Whether Obama was a failure or not depends on what his goals were.
Obama was an Ivy Leaguer who was definitely a servant of the rich and powerful. So, Obama’s accomplishments for his 8 years might include.
1) Keeping Goldman-Sachs, the other Wall Street bankers, and generally the 1%ers in charge of the economy and sole beneficiaries of the economy could be considered an achievment.
2) The furthering of the American spy-and-police-state would be an acheivment. There was certainly no roll-back in the spying on Americans under Obama, and the police have become more belligerent and aggressive during these 8 years. Often that’s at more local levels than Obama directly controls, but we certainly did not see aggressive action from the Justice Dept to try to slow this down. Instead the Justice Dept provided cover by stating they’d launch an investigation if there was too much heat on the local cops, but these investigations were usually meaningless rubber-stamps.
3) Obama protected and has now continued to expand the spending on the US military. There was a threat at one point that the defense buidget might actually be cut. But that danger has been eliminated and now the only argument is how much more money is going to be thrown at the military.
4) Obama expanded the drone and assasination programs that began under Bush. Now the US President seems to have unquestioned authority to kill anyone he wants to kill.
5) Obama expanded US wars. He kept the wars in Afghanistan going, in fact ‘surged’ it three times early in his time. He’s restarted the Iraq war again. The Iragis had succeeded in getting US troops out at the end of the Bush years, but now they are back in strong force. Add to this more wars from Libya to Yemen to Syria.
6) As he ends his term, he’s now leading a crackdown on alternative press and dissident writers and filmakers under the mantra of ‘fake news’ which will have long reaching ramifications. Soon, if you are an American, something like Sputnik might be the only place one can read writers like Mr. Escobar.
That’s a list of accomplishments that I can cite off the top of my head in just a few minutes writing. I’m sure others can add to the list with a little reflection.
The key is to remember that Obama is a con-man. What he said during his election campaigns, and what he’s said in other public speeches likely has little or nothing to do with his real goals.
Well, I guess I’ve been thoroughly jaundiced for a long time…
I said from day 1, from sometime in ’07, that Obama is a cipher, a running sub-routine. There’s no there there.
I saw nothing over the subsequent 8yrs that gainsaid my original impression.
“his surname is Obama; a far cry from Smith.”
Not all that far from Smith. O’Bama is clearly Irish.
Obama is a very bad, extremely CORRUPT person with over 34 scandals. I won’t call him a president since he never was one. First, he didn’t qualify and secondly, everyone was aware of the rigged voting machines.
