Almost one thousand years of Western Imperialism are coming to a shameful and self-inflicted death, one way or another
As schoolchildren will tell you, the names of the continents begin and end with the same letter, A: Asia, Africa, America, Australia, Antarctica. There is one exception: Europe, which though still beginning and ending with the same letter, the letter is not A, but E. Why the difference? Is it perhaps because Europe is not really a Continent? After all, it is not a vast landmass surrounded by an ocean (if it were a small one, it would be called an island). Its borders are arbitrary, having frequently changed, were only relatively recently pushed to the Urals, and are still much disputed. In reality, surely Europe is the artificially isolated north-western peninsula of Asia? It is not a geographical Continent at all, it is an ideological construct. That is why the slogan of so many EU-fanatics, like the former French President Chirac, was: ‘Faisons l’Europe’ – ‘Let’s Create Europe’.
We ask the above question because in this winter of 2022-2023 the old EU and Non-EU Europe has had to face a new reality following the war that the US/NATO lost in the ‘Ukraine’, as it used to be called. Europe-wide, indeed worldwide, food riots with looting of supermarkets and ‘bill boycotts’ (the wave of civil disobedience with the refusal/inability to pay soaring fuel bills) made this clear. Obviously, a worldwide reconfiguration is coming. Already the new world is becoming multipolar, with several main centres within the old BRICS, Russia, China, India, Brazil, South Africa, and now more to come, perhaps Iran, Türkiye, Argentina, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Mexico, Lebanon and Indonesia. In general, all Asia, Africa and Latin America now at last have their own future.
Not only are the old, thoroughly corrupted international organisations like the UN, WTO, WEF or IMF rightly disappearing into the sewers of history along with their discredited puppet-master, the US elite, but so too are pro-US regional groupings, like its European political and economic arm the EU and its European military arm, NATO. And here precisely, we ask where does the US/NATO defeat in the Ukraine leave the European peninsula, both the EU part of it and the rest of it, outside the EU? After World War I Europe had to be reconfigured, and again after World War II. Now, after whatever you call the 2022 Western rout in the Ukraine (World War III, or World War I, Part III), what is its destiny?
Surely the greatest revelation of the US proxy war in the Ukraine is Europe’s dependence on Russia. Without Russia, it simply cannot survive – though Russia can survive without it. The fact is that for the last few centuries, the largest European country has been Russia for surface area and, over the last century and a half, for population. The most common European language in Europe is Russian, the second German, the third French, the fourth English, the fifth Italian. As regards natural resources, whether agricultural or mineral, and as regards military power, the most important country, once again, is Russia.
Having said that, it must be admitted that part of Russia’s might, on which Europe depends, comes from Asia, which forms the majority of Russia’s territory. Thus, Russia is also Asia, specifically the northernmost third of the Asian landmass, whereas Europe is just the tiny north-western tip of that same landmass. As for Europe’s peoples, they too came from Asia, and mostly speak ‘Indo-European’, that is, Northern Indian, languages. As for Europe’s traditional religion, it too is Asian, for Christ, who appeared on earth as a coffee-coloured man who certainly never wore trousers, lived in Asia, specifically in the Middle East. It seems obvious to anyone with even the most basic geographical and historical knowledge that the destiny of Europe, now divorced from its former landgrab colonies in Africa, America and Australia, is with Russia, which is its link to Asia.
The territory of the four largely East Slav Union States, the Russian Federation, Belarus, Malorossiya and Carpatho-Russia (the last two formed from the old, ill-fated US vassal, the ‘Ukraine’), dwarves the rest of Europe. Similarly, with a population of 200 million, the Four Union States are far larger than any of the European Regions in population. The future European Regions are still independent, if integral, parts of Eurasia, within the Russian resource and security umbrella, on which they depend. Non-Russian Europe has its own personality and culture, which varies amongst its members. Geographically, historically and linguistically, the 450 million people of the old EU and non-EU Europe can be divided into eight European Regions. What are they, in order of population?
1. Germania (122 million):
Germany, Austria, the South Tyrol, the Netherlands, Flanders (Northern ‘Belgium’), German-speaking East ‘Belgium’, Luxembourg, German-speaking Switzerland and Liechtenstein. These countries, with about twice as many people as most of the other European Regions, have all been influenced by the same culture of Germanic organisation, order and productivity. This could provide direction to the way out of their present black hole.
2. Francia (74 million):
France, Wallonia and Brussels, French-speaking Switzerland and Monaco. All share in the same Catholic and post-Catholic French-speaking culture. A return to ancient roots and historic cultural heritage could give direction to this Region in the future.
3. The Anglo-Celtic Confederation (73 million):
England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Though geographically clearly one, these thousand islands and their four nations have in history been much perturbed by the centralising, unionist spirit imposed by force from alien ‘British’ London. (Between the Imperialist Romans and equally Imperialist Normans, the English Capital had been Winchester). If some equitable, confederal settlement can be reached between all four by the rejection of everything Britain and British, there is a future here. Could the acronym, IONA (Isles of the North Atlantic) provide clues to that future?
4. The Visegrad Group (66 million):
Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, the Czech Lands, Slovakia. Lithuania is not usually included in the ‘Visegrad Group’, but it has so much in common with Poland and national Catholicism, that it must belong to this group. All share in a common West Slav/Central and Eastern European, largely Catholic nationalist, culture.
5. South Eastern Europe (65 million):
Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece and Cyprus. Although very varied in culture, mainly Orthodox, but also Catholic and Muslim, and spreading as far as the Romanian Carpathians as well as the Greek Islands and the island of Cyprus, the centre of this group is a common, though often so far tragic, South-East European history.
6. Italia (62 million):
Italy, San Marino, Ticino and Malta. All have a common Italian culture, which can provide the strength for political, economic, cultural and social renewal.
7. Iberia (57 million):
Spain, the Canaries, Catalonia, the Basque Country, Gibraltar, Andorra, Portugal, the Azores, Madeira. All share in a common Iberian culture. With decentralisation, they could work together to find a way out of the present crisis.
8. Nordica (30 million):
Iceland, Norway, Denmark, the Faeroes, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia. With a largely Lutheran and post-Lutheran common cultural heritage, these countries, with only about half the population of most of the other European regional groups, could work together to provide a direction away from the suicide to which they have come so perilously close in recent decades.
Many are at present profoundly pessimistic about the future of the European Peninsula. The EU is collapsing and has for some time been collapsing for all to see. However, we see no long-term reason for such pessimism. Once ‘Europe’ has reconnected with its geographical and historical roots in Asia, it will have a future again. In time, we are convinced that history will come to see Europe’s previous thousand years as in many ways a deviation from and a distortion of its historic destiny, which is as an integral, if idiosyncatic, part of the Asian landmass.
I hope so. It’s better if Europe joins Asia for mutual benefit. But that leaves the US way out on the sidelines: they hate that. The US spends considerable energy trying to split Asia, jabbing at Burma, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Korea, and everywhere.
I worked hard to keep Norway out of EU, but I’d swap the south for Jâmtland and Härjedalen, anytime.
Otherwise – I’d rather join Russia.
Good job, I wish our politicians understood that No means No. Instead they turned themselves into Europeans.
I think joining the EAEU would be a better idea, than the suicidal EU project.
In terms of landswap, to be honest, I would be willing to pay good money if Sweeden would take over the East … including OSLO. The main street is still named after the sweedish union king, so no problem there.
Neil til EU has been an effektiv organisasjon in many years. That Norway has resisted full EU membership in so many years years does the Norwegian people a great service. They have avoided the chaos and trauma of leaving the Eu as the UK is enduring. That Norway is a forward base and training ground for NATO is, I believe not much more than a hangover from WWII when Norway was successfully used by the allies as an anvil on which to beat and weaken the German forces and to enduce them to burn through scarce resources. Swedish neutrality anyone?
The Norwegian people have been very fortunate to have had wise post-war leaders who have not squandered the natural resources of the kingdom. Social cohesion is the alpha and omega og all human endeavours. The current iteration of Western capitalism is a self-defeating, short-sighted pseudo-philosophy of the mad-house..
Long may wiser heads prevail and self centered temptations be resisted — it is a ploy to deafet us.
“….. the names of the continents begin and end with the same letter, A: Asia, Africa, America, Australia, Antarctica. ”
You left one out. Andean. The nations of the Andean continent refer to themselves as the Community of Andean Nations. Calling them any kind of “America” is accepting the self imposed domination the people to the north have inflicted on Quechua, Mayan, and Spanish descent peoples.
If we would be courteous, we should, in future, always refer to them as they do themselves – the Andean Nations.
AND….Europe is NOT a continent.
It is an a peninsula of Asia, as India is!
Quite theoretical.
Removed. Mod.
There is no such thing as Indo-European. There is Indo-Persian, or Graeco-Persian. Then you have Abrahamic languages, Assyrian/Syriac/Aramaic/Hebrew/Arabic; especially last three share a lot in vocabulary and style, because it was the same people to begin with.
I have heard the languages of so called Northern India, their grammar and alphabets are nothing like European. How people of that region several thousand years ago would have liked to cross all freeze just to end up in another frozen place is beyond understanding. And if you go further north of India languages change a 100 bloody percent every 50km due to these folks never been able to travel enough to anywhere for best part of their life; weather and terrain and anything you can think of. I’m talking about Tibetan languages. There are so many of them packed in those mountains you can’t even list them properly. I don’t even know how many language groups exist in China and Pacific Asia.
So no, Europe has no link whatsoever culturally/linguistically past the Caucasus and Turkic regions. Even Alexander, who was really not a European of today’s Europe, went all those ways and didn’t last much there. He must have been sick of those mosquitoes and the summer heat, lack of water and no food to his liking.
He just left tired and took a short cut back after all that waste of time in “Indo” regions. No greek influence there in case we are looking for one. Indian land and sea links to Alexander’s middle east and Asia Minor ran through vast useless lands and hostile people. They were happy growing spices and having their own thing going, trading East much more easily. Their link west was through current Sri Lanka, Oman/Yemen (one province under Persia), and Red Sea. That was Arab/African traders doing the boat/camel runs too. If there was a high-speed rail link between India and Europe for thousands of years I wonder why no one really has evidence of the major exports of India to Europe from that time?
Europe woke up to India much later, trying to find short cuts, bypassing Crusade-ridden lands.
For Indian people Persia’s vassals west of Indus river and rough mountains and foreign peoples in their north were enough reason to just wear a swimming short, get into a boat and trade to their east in weather and cultures they were used to. You will still find their communities quite alive in far east.
It’s true that Hindi doesn’t look much like a European language on first glance, but if you go back in time (reverse Hubble’s Law), languages get closer together, and the Europeanness of Sanskrit is very obvious. And modern Persian already has the flavor of a European language, except for being written in the Arabic script.
Even in mentality the link can be seen… Iranians have much less trouble acclimating to a European culture than North African Arabic-speakers, for example.
I actually saw a surprising number of script similarities between Hindi and European scripts. Some letters were combined or separated differently, but the essences were there.
Quite foolish. When Europe were living in Leather and Iron Asia was living in Silk weaved with Gold threads as seen in the epic The Mahabharata which is about over 4000 Years old.
To day Europe remains poor of Mineral wealth and live by plunder of the Third World. After, the Ukraine war Europe will return to dire poverty as it was 1000 Years ago.
In Europe the Indo-European languages consist of English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, among others. The language grouping is called Indo-European because the oldest example in this language grouping is found in India. All the Indo-Europeans came from somewhere in Asia to inhabit Europe, hence the word Caucasian means White Asian. All the barbarians invading Rome came from the East.
The Semitic languages are part of the larger Afroasiatic group. The reason the Afro is in front is because the most likely origin of the language grouping is in Africa. Even Wiki says “The Semitic family is a member of the larger Afroasiatic family, all of whose other five or more branches have their origin in North Africa or the Maghreb. Largely for this reason, the ancestors of Proto-Semitic speakers were originally believed by some to have first arrived in the Middle East from North Africa, possibly as part of the operation of the Saharan pump, around the late Neolithic.” So instead of Abrahamic one should rather say African when referring to the Semetic languages, because after all, Africa exists while Abraham is fictional.
There have been lots of attempts to get rid of the Indo in the Indo-European language grouping and to get rid of the Afro in the Afro-Asiatic language grouping, but all such attempts have failed over hundreds of years because the available evidence overwhelmingly supports putting the Indo in front of the Indo-European language grouping and the Afro in front of the Afro-Asiatic language grouping.
The attempts have been to link the two regions where no link existed.
Mahabharata is 4000 year old?! How?
Abraham was fictional and Africa is there….that is an argument?
I guess Marxists had seen big bang on their TV when it was happening, so they really have the creation of universe on a videotape. It must be under a lock and key in museum of neolithic stupidity, so I haven’t seen it on my TV. Upload it on youtube and send a link forward.
Counting from 1-10 and mum/dad/nan, writing from left to right. Is that the evidence?
If there is anyone to make a claim about these languages having any real connection, bring it here.
I speak and understand languages east and west of Indus, recognize their sounds and pronunciations, know the English and western languages too.
Let’s not even discuss Africa, they have different family of languages. Red sea countries will heavily be influenced by Semitic/Abrahamic languages obviously. Ever heard someone speak Mandinka, or South African languages?
Trouble with western “historians” is they want to clean the slate from all things Semitic and brown skin, and make hypothetical links from long before time of Jesus and start right after when slavery started. The conclusions they come up are so bizarre that Asians just laugh and these wikipediots and don’t bother.
Worse still, western “scholars” that confer these little scholarships for useful idiots cannot imagine someone abandoning their whole snug little “knowledge base” and do their own thinking. They still don’t understand what calling the bluff looks like.
Sorry, there is no Iberia, there is Portugal and Spain; Portugal is one of the oldest countries in all Europe, Spain as we know it now, was created by the Catholic Kings Fernando & Isabel only in 1492 by the the time we Portuguese, we are on our way to India and Brasil.
Don’t call it Iberia, in the Iberian Peninsula there are two countries, Portugal and Spain, that’s it.
I love and respect Russia but I am Portuguese and a patriot, I love my country. It’s Portugal with the islands of Açores and Madeira, not Iberia. And we have our own History, our own traditions and our own way of leaving, we are not the same people, we are two different peoples and tow different countries.
Ich denke niemand hat etwas gegen Portugal.Wir kennen Vasco de Gama,Magellan aber die Portugiesen sollten aufpassen das nach Barroso und Guterres nicht noch einer dieser Untypen auftaucht.
I don’t think anyone has anything against Portugal. We know Vasco de Gama and Magellan, but the Portuguese should be careful that after Barroso and Guterres, one of these non-types doesn’t appear.
The essay deals with the future natural regions of Europe, not countries. I don’t think each region is expected to become a superstate, especially as the EU is expected to be discredited.
They are Continentalists, the Sea frightens them and they don’t understand. It is incomprehensible to them that Portugal has withdrawn the capital to Rio de Janeiro.
If I may ask Natercia (only because I prefer to hear it from someone that lives there).
How much of difficulty is Portugal having with covid cases, given that is has a very high rate of people vaccinated?
Thanks
July we had 35.945 cases, but deaths are decreasing and there are not, by now, big problems with hospitalizations. But people are tired of this, very tired, and we are in summer, there is a fantastic weather, sun is shinning and there are the hollydays, people want to forget this nightmare; and almost all the covid restrictions have been lifted, we only have to use masks when going to hospitals, health centers, pharmacies and public transport.
Thanks for asking.
Thank you for your reply and I’m glad that in general things are getting better.
Cheers
We suspected that ;-).
….and you had also one time smart president…Antonio de Oliveira Salazar(1889-1970)..not much past..50+yrs…
There’s a lot of ground covered in the above post. A lot is interesting, but much of it is factually wrong, but rather than unpick what is a very interesting take line by line, let me present you with a heresy.
First let me state that I am thoroughly behind what the Russian Federation has achieved, and is attempting to achieve, especially for the self determination of the people of the Donbass.
Now, let me address my main objection to the above article.
My friends, predicting the death of Europe (Old Europe) may be slightly premature. I predict that it will have a ‘very lively corpse’.
We here, in the UK, are not rioting over food. Nor will energy cause us problems in any drastic way. Some people are completely overestimating our weakness. Too much getting your ‘facts’ from the media. Anecdotally, for fellow Irish/Englishers a little background. A tiny piece of true Uk historical truth, that all peasants and poor people all over the world will understand
The people of my Grandparents, parents and even my generation have experienced a world without central heating and double glazing. I often went to bed with ice on the inside of the windows, as did most of my class mates. My grandmother’s house did not have an inside toilet, and many of us bathed on Saturday only, in a bath before the fire, where all small siblings shared the water.
This did not seem a hardship at the time because it was normal all over the UK and Ireland. In fact we have been modern, in the sense everybody outside the West assumes is having all the creature comforts, for barely fifty years. Anyone assuming the common people of England, etc.. had anything but the barest essentials has no idea of what English history is actually like. It has been, and is still now, a struggle of the majority against an entrenched oligarchy. Every meagre gain bought with suffering and sacrifice, and often physical mortification and death. Just read the history of the Labour movement if you doubt me. This envy, of the so called, Golden Billion, that I sense in the gleeful predictions of the ‘West’s demise; Can you all stop pretending it is anything other than a deep seated hatred of the white races. You all seem to think that white westerners have laid some terrible yoke over your necks. Perhaps we have, and there is no doubt that the current North American regime is an evil with global reach, but it is not a White country anymore.
To me, the article above is merely another ideological spear aimed at the achievements of the White cultures. In this, it is both a product of it’s time, and the ‘culture of critique’ environment that prevails. The author seems to think that the global south will be dismantling Europe and distributing it’s citizens according to their tribal attachments.
Ask yourself, rationally, is the sigh of relief at the fall of old Europe’s current configuration a symptom of the long held fear that the Western nations would decide to use their technical superiority to the ‘global south’, to subjugate you all even further? Then I agree with you. You all had a narrow escape in 1945. So breath in relief, as I do. And hope, as I do, that the peoples of the world will be able to pursue alternative development without interference from a corrupt and badly demoralised Europe. To predict our demise, or think that we will allow you to dictate our future might be stretching things a bit. To paraphrase Vlad himself, ‘we haven’t even started yet.’
I come to The Saker for information about the Russia-Ukraine war that we cannot get from the Western Media and for the viewpoints of people all around the world. But, there’s also an awful lot of anti-white racism and glee for the impending downfall of the white man on these pages. I had hoped that the rise of a multi-polar world full of sovereign nations would enable human beings to move past the same old hatreds that are easily exploited by evil dictators. Alas, it looks like it’ll just be “meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”
Not that I blame people. The governments of the US and UK and Europe have done horrible things to a great many people. The hatred for the colonizers is certainly well-founded. But you’re right, there’s a “victimhood” mentality that is used to excuse personal or national failings here. This victimhood mentality has been put to great use by the minions of the multi-national corporations who control everything in the West to keep the people divided so they don’t focus on the people running the show. Its a useless, counter-productive mentality. If everything is beyond your control then why bother doing anything?
Russia (which looks to be pretty full of white people too) is showing everyone that standing up against the bully is better than wallowing in self-pity or praying that God will smote all your perceived enemies. With any luck, Russia, and perhaps China too, will show the world that the US and Europe are just old, paper tigers ruled by multi-national corporations and ridiculously wealthy individuals who are just raiding all the wealth and value from both entities. Blaming Mrs. Clarke in Derbyshire or Mr. Jones in Alabama is just silly. Like people everywhere around the world, the populations of Europe and America are filled with people who just want a job to raise their family in a nice home. Mrs. Clarke did not want her sons sent to die in the Middle East and Mr. Jones voted for the liar who promised not to get us into anymore wars. But here we are with a demented old fool eager to start a nuclear war.
Hopefully, the US and Europe are brought down a few notches to become just another country (or several) amongst the rest of the countries in the world and we can all deal with each other with fairness and respect. In order for that to happen, we must shake off the behind the scenes entities that are raping our nations. Because, if they manage to destroy the US and Europe, they’ll just turn their hairy eyeballs on the next opportunity. When there’s no longer any point in buying off politicians in the US and Europe, then there will be a lot of extra money to buy off politicians in Russia and China and anywhere else that looks ripe for exploiting. Then Russia or China or whomever will be ruled by politicians with absolutely no care for the will or the benefit of the people. People need to focus on where the real power lies. I’d suggest to start by looking at Davos and the bankers.
Thank you for your writing which reflects so well also my thinking. Im fully in line with russians fighting for right things and waiting eagerly the multipolar world. I think western support for ukrainian nazis is shameful.
But i hope that the new world would be more equal than current one and respects all kinds of people as long as they dont want to harm each other. I hope that all countries are independent and are allowed to make their own rules and people are free to move out if they dont like the way things are in their country. I hope that the relationship between europe and russia will some day become better. We in Finland had very good relationship with Russia for so long. Trade to Russia was an very important factor in building post WWII Finland. Then suddenly came the collapse of USSR and the EU and gradually things got worse and are now in catastrophic state. The people here are so propagandized that its surrealistic.
Thanks also to saker for your work to inform us.
I wonder what kind of funny money will be used to buy off the corrupted in the global south once that privilege of owning usd entities is no longer sacrosanct ? That is the exact reason here and now that the elites are in for a battle of future existence. The taste of collapse of that fiat money will be bitter than anything that the west will experience in all its entire history. Just imagine Mrs Clark 401k gets completely wiped slate clean and the consequence of that multipled by a few million times and none of those plastics continue to function any longer.
Europe will probably collapse first and the Globalists will scavenge whatever is left. The US will fall next and that fall will be hastened by the loss of the petro-dollar. In both places, there will be massive poverty, starvation and revolutions. I doubt the people who engineered the collapse will be able to step in and force the peoples to accept their Build Back Better dictatorship but we’ll see. As for what kind of funny money they’ll use to control the newly emerging countries, they own pretty much every corporation so they’ll infiltrate with their companies producing cheap products. Then they’ll put their people in place in schools and the media and finally the government. They’re like locusts who just destroy everything and leave nothing behind.
See, the US and UK go on and on about “democracy” but the people of these nations believe that they do not have any responsibility for the actions of their democratic governments. There’s no doubt that these governments don’t really represent their people, but that is neither the fault nor responsibility of the rest of the world. This White people demand a safe space and to not be lumped in with their own governments is laughable. Time to toughen up, buttercup.
Also, Russians are commonly white but they are not White. That’s an exclusive club delineated solely by Europeans. To White Europeans Russians are an asiatic horde.
First and foremost I’d very much like to thank Amarynth n Herb for their outstanding job here, and salute the return of our Dungeon Master (I know, this is very nerd) and congratulate his brilliant overview of SMO, and thank very much “Batiushka”.
That said I’d like to agree that in fact Europa is not really a continent but rather a peninsula, an overpopulated and overexploited one, that bears one loooong history of a fierce fighting population that traditionally abhor its neighbours; and most of them think of themselves as being simply a better human being than the others on,y because they were born there. That’s obviously delusional and sooner or later the “snow niggers” (apud Andrei Raevski, saravá for him) will show them reality. They will obviously detest it in the beginning, but once it’s truly impossible to fight reality (hunger, cold, chômage) than 1848 will look tiède.
For us here in Brasil, it looks like we’re seeing a fight between republican-style colonialism or democrat(woke)-style colonialism. Couldn’t be more warmhearting and inspiring.
Cheers from cool (57F/14C) Vale do Ipiranga
Nordica. I could agree that Estonia should join Nordica but not Latvia. Nordica should perhaps from cultural, historical and economical reasons be in the German group. Well, about this we could discuss indefinite…..
Nordica? That is an old idea. Problem is our connections to London and Washington…. EU will collapse. But in a new world with new leaders in our countries, why not. It is very logical to create Nordica. We have plenty of reources. Land, freshwater, sea… Can we find a way to share our richness reasonably equally between the inhabitants? I don’t know. The old elite must go.The burden of debt is way too high.
Maybe the majority of ordinary people are just silently waiting for the system to collapse?
The only way to escape this woke madness?
I suggest exiling the oligarcy to London, and the politicians to Brussels. Drop out of NATO and start anew. That would be a Great Reset I could subscribe to.
Good idea with the exile plan! We have also all those other useless parasites who lives on money transfered from working taxpayers. I don’t mean people who live on small disability pensions etc. I mean all hordes sitting in the beaurocracy. Transferistas. We send them to Brussels as well. Then we can have a bright future.
The tighter each Euro-peon country’s ass is welded to the Central Banking Syndicate the greater the withdrawal spasms. Bloody Mary!
Europe lost their leadership role post WW2 when they allowed Jewish lobbyists to sell them on the ideology of multiculturalism.
“Mix the races so there is no difference…or reasons for coflict!” Only problem was the Jews meant mix the goy European races.
Enoch Powell said it was madness…and now we are seeing the end of European enlightenment because of the multicultural madness!
Evolution has decided that white Europeans are a dead end…killed by their own hand.
“Fog on English Channel, Continent Isolated” — Headline in English newspaper.
Same mentality as calling West EurAsia “The Continent” meaning Western Europe.
“Surely the greatest revelation of the US proxy war in the Ukraine is Europe’s dependence on Russia.”
Russia is part of Europe. Europe is where Europa was carried by the bull-god Zeus when he crossed the Bos-Phorus (Bull-Carry) bearing Europa on his back. Graeco-Roman Judeo-Christian cities of Europe spread across North-EurAsia from Dublin to Vladivostok. They have a common inheritance, and their feuds are family feuds.
Its interesting to note that the US has already worked out a back-up plan of working with 5 blocs (much along the lines as Batiushka has expertly outlined here) for when the EU ( essentially a bankers’ cartel) implodes.
But I still suspect what we’ll see is the US expelled from Asia’a N-W peninsula & the peoples of Europe seek their common destiny (and prosperity) trading with Russia & China for mutual benefit.
The US’ sphere of influence will retreat to the the US mainland, Canada, UK & Australia & NZ, aka the Anglo-sphere.
That’s assuming the US doesnt disintegrate into 5 or 6 separate nations itself, first.
To put us Serbs again with our assassins Croats, Hungarians, Albanians: thank you, but no – thanks!
We experienced 2 genocides in 20-th century, and a hundred years of the ethnocide – and it was enough! We can only associate with the Orthodox and tolerate our Muslims.
“The days are evil” (Eph 5:16). «In these [tough] times, strong friends of God are needed to support the weak» (Saint Teresa, Life 15,5).
Courage to all and do not let yourselves be carried away by bitterness.
No criticism from me for an article that stimulates thought and many possible responses. That’s how we learn together, so thank you, Batiushka. The question I ask every day, is what does the US/UK and their masters do when one and then another “European” nation decides it’s future does not lie as a vassal of the USA? Are they going to say OK, good luck? I don’t think so. They will probably decide they have to “destroy Europe in order to save it”, just like they did with Ben Tre in Vietnam in 1967 and Nagasaki and Hiroshima in 1945. Some European states likely will commit suicide rather than taking a path to a sustainable future in a multi-polar world. UK has already loaded the pistol with Brexit and the choice of government. The World is still re-shaping after WW2, nearly one hundred years. I see this all playing out over more than one lifetime unless the US goes nuclear. We need to look for more modest signs of progress than the complete reorganization of continents, otherwise we might be waiting a long time for satisfaction. When Europe relaxes Russian / Chinese / Iranian sanctions openly against the wishes of the US, we might be on a good track. Let’s hope for a cold winter.
I do not wish to generalize, but in my case, being ethnic slavic, but born and grown up in Latin America and working most of my life in Asia and now retired/residing in the south of France, I see for myself no common denominators with the whole European westernized and corrupted ‘culture’.
Their Europe is most alien to me.
Politically I feel nauseated that European politicians are willing to betray the fundamental interest of their nations and commit economic suicide to obey a foreign geopolitical agenda, in this case Washingtons.
Europe reached this stage because it was always deeply Russophobe (Sinophobe on the next chapter) and add to it the “Gott is tot” to open the septic gates of the woke/cancel “culture”.
Outstanding and very relevant article!! It provides a realistic and doable plan for what’s coming: the breakup of the EU, NATO as well as other related organizations and treaties. The plan starts with the realization of who and what we are: distinct nations (ethnic groups of people), who may live together and in confederation with others, working for the betterment of our own nations which also provides a solid framework for peace and relationships with other nations.
An interesting proposition for Europe – but as usual, we all see through the glass darkly because of our ingrained presuppositions and binary thinking – especially that part of the coffee colored Jesus.
Is that presumption based on the prevailing skin color of the current residents in the Middle East?
Furthermore, Christianity without the European nations would be what?
Reading an article like this is further proof that none of us has 100% of the gospel truth of the matter – just here a bit…there a bit.
The bigot says “If some equitable, confederal settlement can be reached between all four by the rejection of everything Britain and British, there is a future here.” Replacing Britain with Russia, British with Russian and “all four” with “them”, it is easy to see how retarded a comment this is. I am a Briton, and take exception to this sh*t. The Anglo Saxons here tried to eliminate my folk over the ages, but we are still here. You know, it helps if you actually know what you are talking about. It also helps if you live here. As for my “Celtic” brethren (Iberians actually), don’t let your stereotyped blinkers fool you about them. They will feed you your own balls if you said such crap to their faces. You are showing yourself to be an ethno-barbarian and do your cause no good. Try and grow up, the lot of you, the adults are tired of your nonsense.
I have always considered this site and its contributors to be worthy of respect. If I may say so, the simple rejection of others’ views and use of profanity to belittle them is a rather British characteristic which seeks to stifle debate in favour of the one who shouts loudest. When we accept that the opinions of other people viewing the World from a different position and historical experience are sufficiently valid to engage them in polite debate rather than abusive put-downs from a self-proclaimed “superiority”, then there is a chance to elevate ourselves and learn from each other. By definition, most forward-looking articles here will be wrong, but our days would be the poorer without them and the thoughts that they provoke. Lets open our minds to how others see the World, not insult them for sharing their opinion with us.
Nice exercise, although I suspect, will be only appreciated by the rational fringe and not the populous.
Funny, though, when I hear all EU member states claim that they are sovereign and act independently, while having complete dependence on their EU technocratic master.
This is a lot of food for thought. SE Europe will always be complicated, given it’s been a crossroads for as long as there have been people on the landmass.
What if we’re seeing the unwinding of 1848. It’s not exact, but the revolutions give a good touch point. Before then europe looked much like the piece describes. Within each zone there were different configurations of power and certainly lots of little powers revolving around and competing within the spheres of bigger power. But this idea of nations really came into its own in 1848, and nationalism as a consideration outside the movements of 1848 really didn’t exist. They were profound. From the Hapsburg empire to the Austrio-Hungarian. Even across the ocean the mid-19th century provoked a crisis of defining statehood.
The EU is running headlong into a brick wall of defining statehood crisis. I will not be surprised by a European war not involving Russia. European wars have been fought over much less than some of the current disagreements. Will/can the countries of Europe dispense with their current nationalism to reorganize in logical ways? (Assume no malign influence from Oceania.)
And what of America, Britain’s bastard child?
Broadly agree with the article, although not that the English language is fourth in Europe. Throughout the world, English is a must have language for international trade simply because it’s the business language of the world. In the same way that the dollar, although declining, is still the reserve currency.
Yet all empires rise and fall and we’re living in the end times of the US one, thank goodness. Will the US go quietly as did the British Empire and the Soviet Union? Or will it go down fighting as did the Third Reich and in a nuclear age, try to take everyone else down with it. We live in uncertain and dangerous times. Confidence is not high.
