Dear friends,
I realized that I was missing on a good opportunity here to involve some correspondents from the USA.
While I myself currently live in the USA, I think that I might very much need the help from US correspondents, but not from this or that state or region, but from different specializations.
While it makes little sense to compare Fox News in San Diego and Boston, the USA can be very diverse in terms of professional strata. What I would be very interested in is in those amongst you who have a professional or personal interest in the following area of study:
- US Fiscal & Monetary polices
- US Foreign Policy
- Congressional Politics
- Big Corporations
- Banking, Credit, Insurance
- Investment, capital venture, hedge funds
- US foreign investment
- US foreign aid
- US Navy
- US Army
- US Air Force
- US Marine Corps
- Military academies
- Intelligence agencies
- US Space programs
- US international trade
- IMF
- World Bank
- Defense industry
- Diplomacy
- “Democracy promotion” (NED & Co)
- Energy (oil, nuclear, etc.)
- Ecology
- Imports/Exports
etc (too many to list)
Basically, I am interested in the “big stuff” which involves lots of money and, therefore, special access to power. I am also interested in the instruments of power themselves.
Important note:
Now, this might be obvious, but I have to state this very clearly here: I do not want anybody with any current security clearance (no matter how low) applying for this project and I want to make it absolutely clear that the only source of information I will accept is publicly available information. I am am mostly looking retired professionals, students, sharp hobbyists, public journalists or reporters, academics, etc. If somebody ever sends me anything classified even at a very low level I myself will immediately inform the authorities. That is common sense and basic self-protection. I do not need any trouble with Uncle Sam. I need 100% transparency and 100% legality. Nothing less will do. I don’t like this regime, but I will not disobey its laws.
This being made clear, I also believe that somebody smart kind find out what he/she wants by using open source information. It its classified, it is of no interest to me. What I am after is a good understanding of how the US functions, its system, evolution, the factors which affect it. You get the idea.
If you have a passion for, say, the World Bank or the US aerospace industry, you probably read specialized magazines and you probably visit specialized websites. Magazines or websites which I do not read. Then you can definitely help me out.
So, same concept as geographical correspondents, but applied to professional areas of expertise.
If you are interested, please drop me an email confirming that you have no current security clearance and a short bio or description of your interests.
Many thanks in advance and kind regards,
The Saker
The ‘Saker correspondents’ project is a good idea, but if your request for input from the many geographical areas and the many professional areas of expertise that you mention elicits even a moderate response then I think there may be a couple of problems:
1. There are only 24 hours in a day.
2. You need to sleep.
I don’t see how you can overcome these two problems, but hope you find a solution, since most of us have (at best) only a vague idea of how the Empire really works (and its first line of defense is secrecy).

What a ridiculous invitation. Anybody who happens, even inadvertently, to mention something once or currently “classified” by the judeonazi regime in washington, which for decades has been “classifying” everything from army food to postage stamps, will be “informed upon” to “the authorities”. I really think people have better things to do than play along with such a pathetic charade of “independence”.
What I am after is a good understanding of how the US functions, its system, evolution, the factors which affect it. You get the idea.
Have you thought this one through? Are you sure you really want to know?
Well, ok then ;-)

Russians may find Gary Kasparov’s interview with Emma Alberichi on Australia’s ABC Lateline program ((21/04/2014, soon will be available to view online) of particular interest. He has called for international action against Russia.
Garry Kasparov (born Weinstein), is one of many U.S./Israeli backed assets engaged in regime change operations in Russia. “In 1991, Kasparov received the Keeper of the Flame award from the Center for Security Policy for his contributions to the defence of the United States……Kasparov was a board member of the National Security Advisory Council of Center for Security Policy, [an] organization that specializes in identifying policies, actions, and resource needs that are vital to American security” [Wikipedia: Garry Kasparov]
mmmhh, i think that i like the concept of a private blog better than one with a network of correspondents. Many unknown sources, way too much to read for a single blog, and i still do not like the comment function without threading. Otherwise, keep up the good work because i think your writings and analysis are good enough.
@EVERYBODY: If you are interested in my “Saker correspondents” project, then please do not reply here, but send me an email at either vineyardsaker@gmail.com or vineyardsaker@mail.ru.
Many thanks and kind regards,
The Saker
OT Anyone know what’s up with moonofalabama?

This gentleman may be of help to you.
So you’re a former (military?) analyst with a smattering of Russian (but help from others) and other neighboring dialects, who started by posting some common sense and some downright astute analyses of the coup d’etat in Ukraine, the Crimea development and the US-Russia dyspareunic relationship and found a large audience quickly.
But a glaring piece seems to be missing: your emphatic focus on the “Neo-Nazis”/”Banderistas” makes it seem that it was they–aided by the “empire”– who organized and are leading it all.
It is no different from saying that, say, the tragedy in Syria was caused by the “cannibals” supported by the “empire.” Israel never appears in your analyses except in an occasional mention of the “AngloZionist empire”….
Not only do you never mention the possibility that the Neo-Nazis costumes are handy props and the “Banderistas” useful idiotic thugs.
See Voltaire.net for an important revelation form Poland, where they were trained by the Poles while wearing their “nazi” uniforms–probably to get them broken in. Nowhere do you mention that, curiously enough, the Chief rabbi in Western Ukraine downplayed the “danger” of the “Neo-Nazis,” explain why might Israel have absented itself from the vote against Russia, or that curiously enough these die-hard “Nazis”–surely anti-semitic to the core– had the strange whim of installing a majority Jewish government by the coup in Ukraine.
Not only do you not mention any of this but you warn the commenters that you will censor any … “Jew-obssessed” comments.
The question arises if this is not by chance a controlled opposition site aimed at capturing the Russia sympathizers to manipulate their perceptions and cleanse them of undesired inferences. If this is true, so far you have done a good job, at least as far as I can judge from the comments you have NOT censored.
The other curious thing is that now you appear to wish to expand this into an encyclopedic site with financial analyses and whatnot and wish to canvass the readership to get a pulse on any and all topics. Breathtaking scope, no less.
If one wanted to tailor a limited-hangout cum controlled opposition hasbara campaign to appeal to the most sincere, average educated English readers, this is probably the way to go. Just don’t ever mention “jews”….
Thats’ how it looks to me right now, after being an avid fan in the beginning. Hope to have reasons to change my impression.

If you want details of how money is created and how it is channeled to either boom and bust speculation or creative finance to increase GDP then I would recommend two books by my local Southampton University Prof of Economics – Richard A. Werner.
The titles are PRINCES OF THE YEN – Japan’s Central Bankers and the Transformation of the (Japanese) Economy ISBN 0-7656-1048-5
and second NEW PARADIGM IN MACROECONOMICS – Solving the Riddle of Japanese Macroeconomic Performance ISBN-13;978-14039-2073-7
Just place his name in any search engine and you will come up with some fascinating treatises on Good and Bad Money Creation
@ uh-huh
Good question !
It has been having issues since Friday afternoon.
It now says “unknown domain”???
Tea
@uh-huh, Tea:
MoA is hosted at typepad.com. The “unknown domain” message appears to be produced by a typepad.com server, so it could be that the company is just having further problems. It is not the DNS system itself that is producing the “unknown domain” error.
Somebody at MoA said that other typepad.com blogs were having problems, not just MoA.
Dear Saker, I might be able to provide some modest help and may contact you as you suggest.
In the meantime,I look forward to your analysis of the current situation. It looks (to me) like Kiev has blown the opportunity to ‘make nice’ and thereby gain advantage from the ‘Geneva agreement’. Lavrov’s response could hardly have been better.
As for the Slavyansk incident: how extraordinary to see, among captured equipment, a perfect Maschinengewhr 42! I suspect the RS is, in fact, hoping for Russian intervention and the rout, absorption or whatever of the eastern segments (6th corps especially) Ukrainian Army.
Well, no sense unloading here except to wonder what has really happened with 25th (not 24th!) brigade. How could a proud unit submit to a turd like like Turchynov? Tom
I agree with Ben when he said:
> i think that i like the concept of a private blog better than one with a network of correspondents
And, as I implied above, the idea of a ‘Saker Correspondents’ project seems a trifle ambitious, unless The Saker plans on hiring staff to sift through all the input.
BTW, those using any Google service (which, I believe, includes this blog) might care to give serious thought to the big G’s recently-revised Privacy Policy, which reads, in part:
“Our automated systems analyze your content (including emails) to provide you personally relevant product features, such as customized search results, tailored advertising, and spam and malware detection. This analysis occurs as the content is sent, received, and when it is stored. … When you upload, submit, store, send or receive content to or through our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content.”
“Those we work with”? I wonder who that might be. Perhaps The Saker might consider making one of his current mirror sites into his principal site, with a careful consideration of where to mirror it.
STRATFOR-Bis in the making?
Dead end street.
This comments section is already your real andinformal Saker Correspondents area, effectively.
If somebody ever sends me anything classified even at a very low level I myself will immediately inform the authorities. That is common sense and basic self-protection.
Bullshit. This is cowardice.

“Bullshit. This is cowardice.”
No, it’s what Saker said it is. The FBI, CIA, Mossad, etc. are experts at entrapment. Getting Saker to accept some “classified” material is exactly the sort of thing they would try, should they decide to go after him.
