Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine
▫️The enemy is suffering considerable losses of armament delivered by Western countries.
▫️From July 5 to 20, 4 launching ramps and 1 reloading vehicle for the U.S.-manufactured HIMARS MRLS delivered to Ukraine were eliminated by high-precision ground- and air-based armament.
▫️Among them, 2 launching ramps were destroyed near Malotaranovka, 1 HIMARS and 1 reloading vehicle was destroyed near Krasnoarmeysk, as well as 4th launching ramp at the eastern suburb of Konstantinovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Battery and counter-battery is the order of the day, with the Ukrops holding out for a unicorn promise of more weapons at some date in the future.
💥 Attacks by high-precision ground-based armament have resulted in the elimination of a provisional base of Black Hundred nationalist group deployed in the school №23 in Kramatorsk (Donetsk People’s Republic). Up to 300 nationalists and over 40 units of special equipment have been eliminated.
💥 Attacks launched by high-precision armament of Russian Aerospace Forces have resulted in the elimination of a missile and artillery armament depot of 59th Mechanised Infantry Brigade of the AFU deployed at an industrial area in the eastern part of Nikolayev. The enemy has lost up to 30 servicemen, 6 armoured and motor vehicles, over 2,000 projectiles for Grad MRLS, about 1,000 projectiles for Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers.
✈️💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery continue launching attacks at the military facilities in Ukraine.
The list of neutralised targets includes: 6 command posts, including one of 92nd Mechanised Brigade near Rogan (Kharkov region), 1 command and observation post of 72nd Mechanised Brigade of the AFU near Serebryanka (Donetsk People’s Republic), as well as 5 missile and artillery armament and munitions depots near Zaytsevo (Donetsk People’s Republic), Vishevoye and Uspenovka (Zaporozhye region).
You can pick up the rest of this morning’s report here: https://t.me/mod_russia_en/2871
From Military Summary, the understanding is the same. We will have to wait to see how the front changes after these heavy artillery battles. It is worth taking a look at this one, as he has the imaging of a town (difficult to catch the name) fully within entrenchment. It would be interesting to hear from the armchair generals how they could attack that town, without a major civilian death toll.
Although we are unable to put our arms around LOC or front-line changes, there are no reports of shelling the Donbass in the last number of hours. The reason probably is this quite comical statement from https://t.me/levigodman/4224
The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that from July 5 to July 20, 4 HIMARS launchers and one transport-loading vehicle were destroyed in Ukraine. The Pentagon denies this 🌝 Lockheed Martin stock is back to pre 24th February levels so I‘d be denying it too. 😄
Progress is reported in terms of neutralizing terrorist activity.
The activities of the special services in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are in fact similar to what they did in the North Caucasus during and after the 2nd Chechen war, catching and shooting cells of local and international terrorists. The work is complex and lengthy, the success of which is systematic and methodical. Partisanen kaput! https://t.me/russianhead/5452
Douglas McGregor stated that Russia is preparing for a massive offensive to end this war once and for all, they will do it in the next 30 days – military observer, retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor.
And President Putin will be holding a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation today.
Regarding the wider scope of this war, there is a lot of news. This one defies imagination. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs General Mark Milley said at a joint press conference that sending Iranian-made drones to Russia for use in Ukraine would prolong this conflict. So, they may do it, but if Iran does it (bear in mind this is mainly western reporting), it will prolong the conflict. One rule for thee, and another for me.
Important is that reportedly Ukraine agreed to partially clear its ports in the Black Sea (which is demining of course), according to export the little bit of Ukrainian grain. Today is the day that we will hear if the agreement is a go or a no-go. Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Istanbul to sign the grain agreement as the issue is weapons movement really, and not the paltry amount of grain.
Mercosur, the trading bloc of South America declined a request by Zelensky to address its upcoming summit.
Gas has begun to flow to Germany again via NS1 after the completion of maintenance work. It is unclear what the flow rate is and its long-term stability.
Everyone is trying to stagger backward from their own sanctions. The EU has blocked a proposal to impose sanctions against the Russian company VSMPO-Avisma which is the world’s largest titanium producer. (We hate you, but please sell us your titanium!). The Russian government has expanded the list of “unfriendly” foreign states to include Greece, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia, and Slovakia.
And from China, it is so far a China win. The US announced the 5th tranche of weapons to Taiwan since Joe Biden took office. Pelosi also announced a visit to Taiwan in August. China exploded and made strong demarch to cancel the sale and keep Pelosi home. Pelosi will not be going as China threatened both diplomatic as well as possible military action.
There also is movement in Syria. https://t.me/IntelRepublic/2149
Finally, the US is not paying its UN dues and their UN Ambassador is crying about it!
US Losing Influence at UN – Envoy
The US being billions of dollars behind on its UN commitments is hurting Washington’s ability to influence the world organization, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday.
While the American delegation has resisted attempts at shaming over the issue, it has created an opening for China, she told lawmakers.
“That is really the crux of the challenge that I face in New York every single day, as we are put in a position of having to compete with our adversaries on being able to influence the UN actions,” Thomas-Greenfield said.
“Every gap that we leave is an opening for the Chinese. They flow into every open space that we leave,” she added.
Kick ’em out! As they also do not follow international law agreed upon and documented at the UN.
The UN and the World Economic Forum are joined at the hip now.
…”New York, USA, 13 June 2019 – The World Economic Forum and the United Nations signed today a Strategic Partnership Framework outlining areas of cooperation to deepen institutional engagement and jointly accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The framework was drafted based on a mapping of existing collaboration between the two institutions and will enable a more strategic and coordinated approach towards delivering impact.”…

One dead beat not paying and another deadbeat, somehow payed up ready to help sustain us somehow! They are coming after us.
Just the WEF trying to colonise another institution. Just another forum for battlezone.
Agree. UN is floundering in the water anyways. It’s just one dead-beat trying to save another.
The same people and entities that created the UN in 1943 at the Tehran Conference were the same that created the WEF in 1971. They have always been joined at the hip. Signing documents and press releases just makes it visible for the rest of us to see.
WEF – Who the hell elected these people?
Who the hell do they think they are?
How many medical degrees has Gates got?
Why should we accept being ruled over by weirdo billionaire paedos and megalomaniacs?
It is not about degrees. Bill Gates might be Summa Cum Laude (that he’s not). Yet he’s a s-h (edited language,MOD). Cheers!
I am awaiting the results from hundreds Tochka U that have been sent to Donbass by Russia…….
Not very often but sometimes EU regulations are useful. You are able to check flow rates yourself at

So as Putin promised flow is as before the maintenance and I’m sure it will drop to half of that as soon as another turbine is taken out for maintenance as Putin predicted.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that from July 5 to July 20, 4 HIMARS launchers and one transport-loading vehicle were destroyed in Ukraine. The Pentagon denies this 🌝 Lockheed Martin stock is back to pre 24th February levels so I‘d be denying it too. 😄”
It is a testimony to the current sad state of the World that we cannot say if this tweet was written in a serious or satirical tone…
I’d say it is satirical, but regretabbly I’m not sure at all.
Yes, the comment is satirical in terms of the stock, but the report is on the 2nd line of the MoD report, right at the top.
▫️From July 5 to 20, 4 launching ramps and 1 reloading vehicle for the U.S.-manufactured HIMARS MRLS delivered to Ukraine were eliminated by high-precision ground- and air-based armament.
I meant to say that, given the current level of thinking in the West, I can’t really tell whether the second part is satirical or serious… :-D
Possibly, the commenter used a date to suggest a depletion of US manufacturers’ weapon stocks.
If that’s true, with or without a date, the Pentagon has no other choice but to deny it.
Where’s the on ground reporting and coverage like at the beginning? The Ukraine militaty is still fuctional? I just dont get it. Ask yourself what of there wasn’t this conflict, what if no sanctions, what would be the story reported and the talk reported for declining economies? It’s to the point where almost nothing can be trusting. Sorry but just this little bit of me has been thinking I smell a rat. Like something isn’t right.
“The Ukraine militaty is still fuctional?”
Yes, and no.
Yes, its still functional. But no, they arent Ukranian.
I can see a steady flow of NATO troops dressed as Ukes in the near future with complete shielding by the media. The weapons are from NATO, the command control and intelligence is from NATO, the advisors and trainers are from NATO, the pay is from NATO, so why cant the troops be from NATO too?
Contrary to the feelings of fear expressed in the West that Russia wanrs to expand the territory of the Russian federation, the purpose of the SMO is the security o the Donbas area and Crimea. it is up to the West to work with Kiev to provide those guarantees.
Obviously Russia has no will to conquer the whole of Ukraine if an agreement can be reached. Russia would have done already as the US did in Iraq if they really wished to conquer the whole of Ukraine. Unfortunately for Kiev, many parts of what is now called Ukraine may revert back to Russia at the end of this conflict. That’s a normal outcome of wars and a good reason not to go to war in the first place.
For sure, the politicians in the West starting with Pelosi in the US have never lived in a conflict zone and they are insensitive to the suffering of the people; otherwise they would have aimed at a negotiated resolution. The military know better. The Russians have their own historical experience. of the devastation of war. Why make the people of Ukraine suffer a full blown war if the decision centers are outside of Ukraine?
I think Russia has acted very well so far. They are learning , they adapt and they are patient. I have no worry except for the suffering of the ones who are dragged into that conflict against their own will.
The objectives of the SMO have been expanded Lavrov already said that. I don’t see why Russia shouldn’t “conquer all of Ukraine”. there are 2 main logical options that could happen : 1) Russia annexes only Novorossiya (east and south of Ukraine) put a new goverment in the rest of Ukraine, maybe changes the name of the country, and then, start the work to clean Ukraine and develop it so that later it joins the Union State with Belarus and Russia. 2) Annex every thing up to Ternopil (there is a river that would make a perfect border that also separates transnistria from moldova) and give some of the north to Belarus, and either leave the west as an independed demilitarized zone , or, give it to poland.
Russia will reluctantly have to secure Kiev, which the president of the former Ukraine denies exists. Odessa, too, will have to be awarded to Russia, in memoriam for those murdered in 2014. Not much of the Ukraine will remain, especially if the neighbouring countries decide to take a slice. I think Russia would prefer to have a small, neutral, and peaceful Ukraine to keep Poland and the rest at arm’s length. It would be a nice gesture to route the pipelines through there, to enrich, civilise, and pacify.
Something has to be left over from Ukraine, because someone has to pay back the leased weapons from the USA and all the other loans.
But who wants to stay in this country then?
Russia must assure any future Ukraine is demilitarized and denazified. That means “US out” as Erdogan said of US in Syria.
What you describbe as “feelings” is a systematyically promulgated narrative. That is no “feeling”.
Every single statement and every single act of Russia is “massaged” to align with that narrative first, and only then it is reported. Any statement or action which cannot be skewed is simply “cancelled”.
The individual citizen may feel such fear indeed. But what you see in the media is no feeling. That systemic and well-managed campaign to prepare the society for /total/ war. Nothing less, nothing more.
In Russia it is the same though. Just the “cancelling” part is skipped. For now.
Putin himself took it upon to dispel the fog regarding Russian withdrawal from around Kiev in the first phase of SVO, confirming the worst assumptions about it:
《It was during our talks in Istanbul that we actually reached an agreement, and it only remained to initial it. But, as you know, after that, when our troops, in order to create the right conditions, withdrew from central Ukraine, from Kiev, the Kiev authorities backed off on those agreements. These were agreements that had actually been achieved. So, you see that the final result depends, of course, not on intermediaries, but on the parties’ commitment to fulfil the agreements reached. And we can see today that the Kiev authorities have no interest in that.》
Putin – Tehran 20/07/2022
As in 2014/2015 (Minsk I and II), Russia insists on seeking diplomatic solution to a conflict that can only be overcome through favorable political conditions generated from an overwhelming military victory.
With Putin’s statement, it is clear why Russia avoids attacking the “Decision Centers,” despite (as the bombing in Vinnitsa made patent) this type of attack having immense disruptive power over the current Ukrainian government.
Business, nothing but business. Economic interests override national sovereignty.
Example:
《It turns out that any Russian citizen can legally invest in the production of the weapons being supplied to Ukraine under the lend-lease model.
On the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange free trading continues in shares of companies in the American military-industrial complex: Lockheed, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Boeing, etc.
In some cases the moves reach hundreds of millions of dollars a day.
For those who refuse to see the politics behind dry financial numbers, I note: any contribution to the increase in the current turnover of foreign securities on the stock exchanges contributes to the growth of the capitalization of these companies, the optimization of their debt obligations, and the development of their overall financial and economic activities.》

When you want people to see Evil, you need to force Evil to show itself first.
Russia apparently offered to allow the Ukrainian military escape its destruction. Ukraine refused, or, more precisely, was not allowed to accept.
So it will be destroyed.
As it was said. Such an initial deal would not have been very useful to Russia – saction would stand and Ukrainian military would still fight Russians, if possibly elsewhere, eventually. The outcome actually – strategically suited Russia more than acceptance.
Fools. At best.
Surly Russia and President Putin know what they’re doing. It’s easy to second guess, doubt, but doesn’t make it right or good. Honestly can’t help but think sometimes just take the gloves off and fight for the KO. Just human nature. Most peopke know, at least good men should, you never yeild to a bully. You better fight and possibly lose than yeild. Maybe by January and the holiday the world will receive a good gift from Russia in that the opponent is down for the count and there’s no sign of getting back up. Lord willing.
PC, I think you meant Surely, it’s Zelensky who’s Surly, short tempered. He has every cause to be as his life expectancy is measured in days. The Great Bandera purge of 2022. Factional distrust, finger pointing. Chaos!
Was reading on another thread that Russian sappers and equipment were covering/combing every square metre gained for mines. 30 years after the Angolan civil war limbs are still being lost from sunken US-South African mines. Toss in an acute aversion for civilian (mainly Russian speaking ) casualties and when they reach their final destination, turn/look back, what they see are stable functioning Donbass/other republics in a regeneration/healing process, free from evil.
DDD Donbass secured, Denazification, Demilitarisation = WINNING
WTFUD
I need to prove read or type slower before posting comment. I did mean surely Russia and President Putin know what they’re doing. Thanks for pointing that out.
Autocorrect is sneaky, too. It can do amazing revisions of your typing.
Not updatng your phone to avod engineered obsolsence also plays havoc with on sceen keyboards.
Russia has a big heart, drip-feeding German junkies off gas, not exercising cold turkey.
NATO members are also pointing the finger at Germany , infighting is so unbecoming for a League of Gentlemen (and Ladies ). Poland are seething that the 240 Tanks it loaned Ukraine will not be replaced by Germany with new shinier ones in the agreed number. Nope only 20 Leopard 2 Tanks to be delivered in numbers of 2 over 10 years, lol. The scummy Czech government are equally pissed with the Germans reneging on a contract for replacement Tanks/Weaponry it delivered to Ukraine.
If desired Russia could sit back, slippers & pipe, and watch the EU disintegrate. The question isn’t how long Russia will take to complete SMO + , the question is which will come first, the paralysis of the EU or the end of Ukraine as a sovereign.
Azov Commanders-In-Chief, the Kagan, Bush, Obama and Clinton Criminal Organisations were unavailable at the time of posting for comment.
“The US being billions of dollars behind on its UN commitments is hurting Washington’s ability to influence the world organization,”
US owed money to UN since forever, so nothing changed in that. This envoy tries to wash herself from her innability to “persuade” other members to do US bidding, like her predecessors easily did.
This, of course has nothing to do with unfortunate Lynda. Other nations tolerated US debts to UN out of sheer fear, and US fear-factor is vanishing as we speak.
Even if US can create money from thin air and pay the debt while $ is still acceptable, they will probably leave UN altogether, followed by closest allies.
Without bending a knee to US hegemon, UN overstayed their welcome in New York.
That is the wrong way to look at it. The fact that the Chinese are paying their UN bills and the United States is not is the natural outcome of the US de-industrializing and sending their manufacturing base abroad. As the US is now a service economy, it ought to look to providing services to the UN headquarters in New York, like opening social media kiosks and restaurants in the neighborhood. Say, for example Biden authorized McDonalds to offer free Happy Meals to other UN delegations, that could go a long way to countering Chinese influence. Remember, it is the thought that counts! (lol)
US owed money to UN since forever, so nothing changed in that.
I believe this is not true and obscures what really happened. In the early 1970’s, the UN was out of money because many nations had not paid their dues, sometimes for many years. So Washington stepped in and paid for UN expenses, and all the UN had to do was become a puppet apparatus, for example, by appointing corrupt lapdog Secretary-Generals and filling the UN Directorate with US officials and non-US stooges. Jeffrey Feltman is the prime example of the US simply running the UN from behind the S-G’s chair. Feltman’s history is a study in imperial control.
The question should be asked all western population: “tell me one good reason why moving to multipolar world is so bad thing to you compared to US hegemony”.
It might be that some western people are thinking they too are “winners” in dollar hegemony. In fact the real club of winners is quite small and huge majority of even entrepreneurs are not there. There might actually be class war between entrepreneurs vs money owners. We don’t have to go even to 99% of people, to the sheep.
As I see it, the benighted “Western population” (at least in the U.S.) generally doesn’t know anything about such concepts nor do they generally care unless it somehow directly affects them in some way. They are generally morally incompetent and incapable of doing any kind of abstract reasoning.
In any case, the Russian government et al. often talk about the decline of U.S. hegemony and the emergence of a multipolar world, and it is all true and correct, but in a sense speaking about the present situation in these terms is euphemistic (IMO) as it may distract from or sugar coat the true nature of what’s happening, which is a spiritual conflict between one part of the world which has embraced Satanic evil and another part of the world which hasn’t.
Nicely said. I think about it in that way often. I wonder some times if the Davos/WEF crowd (assholes) are even human? If they are what kind of spirits posses them and to what end. The end? For certain reasons I doubt they will succeed with their sinister plans but they can sure cause a lot of trouble trying. Blessings to everyone.
No u.s. fiat dollars for the u.n. (which is ok imo) but plenty for the grifters involved in the ukraine scam. What is so important in the ukraine? Biolabs, adrenochrome, human trafficking, weapons trafficking and what else? And why is china an adversary? What have “they” done to create this situation? Concerning the “leaders” that have created and are creating the problems around the world and those helping them — Life is hard and much more harder when you’re stupid.
The US is not as stupid as it looks. It grabs way more than its share of world cargo.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/american-consumption-habits/
It slaps smaller countries upside the head and steals the gold, oil, and anything it wants. It skims off the product of the labor, and demands a captive market. Until Morales stood up to them, they even owned the rain in Bolivia.
You ask: What is so important in the Ukraine? I’ll tell you: it’s right in between Asia and Europe. The wily US knows it has to keep Asia fragmented. Imagine if China builds a railway to Germany and Spain. Imagine if Russia supplies gas cheaply and reliably to all of Europe. Imagine if Yanqui goes home and cries. Peaceful cooperation and fair play all around! The US would HATE that!
The clever US has been doing sterling work splitting the world, and they’re still at it. You caint stop them! That’s all they do!
According to this Pepe Escobar comment below summarizing Polish intel about the Ukraine War, the Americans, British, and Canadians have seized control over the management of combat operations!
This development goes well beyond individual Anglo-American mercenaries or “retired” soldiers fighting with the Ukrainians but entails Anglo-American command and control of the Ukrainian military itself.
As his post states, “Americans, Brits and Canadians have taken over ALMOST ALL MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS IN THE PLANNING AND CONDUCT OF COMBAT (of course: this is a NATO war). Their presence is SECRET – to prevent NATO military being captured by the Russians.”
If this is true, then the Ukrainians have only one purpose: to die as cannon fodder for their American, Canadian, and British masters.
More importantly, it means that the Anglo-Americans are in direct conflict with the Russians.
How long can the Anglo-Americans hide their casualties and killed in action (like at the Azovstal steel plant)?

I submit to you Russia tolerates this situation for one very important reason: Russia wants to dispel the notion it is ineffective against current NATO arms and doctrine.
All the war gamers who kept losing in simulations are now confronted with the fact they are losing IRL. Their bosses are out of denial and must now choose between nuclear escalation and losing.
“Russia wants to dispel the notion it is ineffective against current NATO arms and doctrine.”
This was proven in Syria, from late 2015 onwards. They fought and helped defeat legions of western mercs, unprecedented stream of arms and logistics to AZE proxies, the most extensive urban warfare and hardened underground fortifications since ww2, demonic western-trained ETIM/turkmen/Salafi extremists from the four corners of the world, and SOFs and troops “on leave” to defeat “the most gigantic coalition in History, constituted by 114 member states of the United Nations.” The Anglo-Zionist Empire (AZE) threw the best they had and were wiped out, by Russians along with Syrian, Iranian, Hezbollah, Iraqi, Afghan and other allies..
Russia appears to tolerate this for the same reason as allowing Ukies to keep coming to the Donbas – to grind them all down, along with their arms, billions of wasted treasure to pay for unending arms, reputation, fracture alliances – all within easy logistical distance of its own border. The losses of trained military specialists alone takes years to overcome. It is the ideal way to demilitarize and denazify NATO itself.. and to bury the AZE so to ensure “the unipolar world order isn’t coming back.
NATO armories are running low, with no prospect of industrial basis to replenish soon. Energy flows are at bare trickle, not enough to ward off the approaching General Winter, nevermind firing up the armaments factories.
Operation Z is a unique campaign. Its overarching political aims remain rooted in the December 2021 ultimatum to the West – i.e. indivisible security for all and roll-back of NATO. Its military aims, although based on demilitarization and denazification, are much more flexible and nebulous. Note at each phase, time was given to the West to come to their senses and to withdraw. The campaign was waged in such methodical and deliberate way as to prevent sliding into a catastrophic general war. Everything was done in a lawful manner and according to self-defense principles enunciated in the December Ultimatum.
Russia is well aware of the real enemy (not the hapless Ukies) and the real stakes. On the Ukrainian battlefield was demonstrated a qualitative AND quantitative conventional capability far superior to the combined west. Ukies have been chewn up and attrited in a shockingly wholesale and unequal way. This fact alone has despaired NATO and stalled their planned entry to expand the war. The Zelenksy curse continues to roll political heads and is scheduled to affect the comedian himself any day.
And no significant counter-sanctions have yet been levied. Yet western energy and food supply chains are cratering and inflation and cost of living surging! Before Russia has even responded to the cowardly undeclared total war and theft of ~$300 billion of its wealth!!
The West is in a self-imposed untenable position. Every day they dig their hole deeper. They can be defeated militarily, conventionally or unconventionally. Much of their existential food and energy, and other commodities necessary for modern industry and technology lie in the hands of Russia. Consider the pure madness of the words of the sitting German Foreign Minister!
Putting all this together, the Western satanic project to end the old system and to cull most humans and break all supply chains may stay localized to Zone A.. What will they do once it dawns on the demented Technocrats that Zone B has outsmarted them? How will Zone B respond to avert the next predictable move of sore losers, the Sampson option? We note a Belgorod pregnant with six Poseidon nuclear torpedo drones has been launched, Sarmats are in serial production (with some likely already on duty, going by past Russian history of maskirovka), S500s and layers of the best ABM and air defenses are on duty, nuclear shelters prepped and drills being run now, etc.. They can go out the easy way or go out the hard way, but go out they will from the stage.
Seems the Ukrainians may have an issue soon.
The Free Ukrainian Army, made up of the Odessa Brigade is preparing for an offensive in the South.
I have been saying all along, with thousands of Ukrainian POWs there must be more than a few with a grudge to settle with Ukrainian authorities. Military Summary mentioned today Russian is forming combat units made up of Ukrainians…. that’ll be the proxy force needed to sell the SMO to the rest of the Ukraine.
Cheers M
Thanks de lepre .. I did not catch this one like you explain here!
“El Saker Staff request from Armchair Generals as to how to take anonymous town with few casualties”
Bier Tisch Kommandant NSA here after a couple of high octane 24 ouncers. The Rooskies have a well deserved reputation for doing everything the hard way, and their stupifyingly dumb SMO is no exception. This splendid little war could have been concluded within a month if the Rooskie dummies had simply listened to humble nsa. Just knock down the west ukie power grid and keep it knocked down……the pathetic ukie state would soon cease to exist and be carved up by its neighbors. This is easily accomplished using 50 to 100 missiles takling out all the major west ukie power substation transformer farms. Simple, effective, minimizes casualties of all kinds and minimizes damage to existing infrastructure. No modern society exists without electricity….no lights, no commerce, no communications, no internet, no transportation. The euro satraps would be immediately saddled with another 10 million ukie refugees, keeping them plenty busy. Ukies remaining would be looting / stealing, eating their pets within a week, and within a month eating each other. Capitulation must soon follow. The ukie military would simply starve for food and ordnance, wither on the vine, and evaporate. Joolensky could rule his imaginary kingdom from his tel aviv strip mall office. Remaining nazis and nato fascists could simply be mopped up as a training exercise. It’s that simple. No need to take some stupid little town at all. This strategy can still be accomplished and victory attained within a month or two, if the Rooskie leadership had any common sense and listened to humble nsa. Anyone care to argue otherwise?
Well it’s so obvious a military solution, that equally obvious the aim is another, namely the ‘grinding’ in Ukraine is a ‘grinding’ much larger in scope than the geography of Ukraine, a world wide ‘grinding’ down of the West no haste required, as haste tends to lead to errors, which in this special case could be fatal for all involved. What we see is a very, very delicate surgical operation of sorts, cutting out a whole body cancer with a laser.
Which small hat wearing group benefits from slav on slav murder?
The stated objectives are obviously lies.
on the subject of kramatorsk and other donbass areas on the “agenda”:
https://awfulavalanche.wordpress.com/2022/07/22/ukraine-war-day-149-waiting-for/
apparently the russians are SO horrible and orcy that the residents are refusing to evacuate because they think the former will liberate them and give them jobs on day one. obviously that doesn’t go over well with the bucha staging types and will probably cause problems for the russians as well as they now have to be very precise to avoid western screeching about dead civilians (that they never cared about as anything but a PR source).
the “30 days” prediction seems a bit premature as no one outside moscow probably has any idea what the end game will be. odessa and closing the coast? fight right up to the river and declare it the new border? the “great siege of kiev” and urban warfare? MACgregor is one of the better western commentators (because scottish, probably) but he still has no window into shoigu or putin’s thinking.
Off-topic, an NYT war report from Ivan Nechepurenko (Ukrainian sounding name) ended with this announcement about the influence of Russian military blogs on the Kremlin, or speculation rather:
“The Russian government has been under pressure from pro-war military bloggers, an increasingly vocal group that has criticized the army’s performance and kept pushing the Kremlin to expand its territorial ambitions.” -NYT (7-20-22)
It’s quite a statement, also to presuppose that the Kremlin could actually be influenced like that through the Internet. It’s provocative, also, to almost lay the responsibility of a government’s decisions on a blog(s), so I assume military blogs angered Nechepurenko.
The NYT again! Just like a scratched LP the same line is repeated ad nauseam.
Your constant reference the the NY rag is not subtle.
In all of your American media rejections, I didn’t see a direct reference or criticism to what was being quoted. It’s always against the source itself. The website decides what to post or not. It’s strange for you to act as if it were your function. There is something I posted at the cafe (07/20/22) that I wish you to watch. It’s a speech from Cantinflas in “His Excellency” (movie). He criticizes the communists and the capitalists.
Some newspapers are world famous. There’s Le Figaro in France, Corriere della Sera in Italy. Better not to say to someone, “Why are you quoting from Le Figaro!” “You’re quoting from Corriere della Sella again!” “You listen to famous music too!” (joke).
The point is that whenever the NYT comes up, you have to ask: “How does this help “israel”?”.
They publish articles critical of Israel and also columns critical of Israel. Like the American media as a whole, they gave critical coverage of the recent Palestinian journalist’s death caused by Israeli gunfire. They were great in the 19th century and it’s back then that they made their fame. I think they were less great but great at least up to the 1980s. They are great now only in the sense of famous; they have some good stories too. I try to find good quotes.
Yes. This is how US/UK propaganda is disseminated to people who it otherwise wouldn’t reach. This guy is a pusher. This site is complicit.
“There is genuinely nothing positive to discuss with regards to the west.
When that changes depends on when it decides to embrace the ongoing paradigm shift instead of fighting to preserve the failing empire which it used to habitually abuse those now embracing multipolarity.”
This is a quote from the Sirius Report and LondonPaul is dead on correct here!
No thanks – nobody wants to read the ‘famous newspapers’. Just no! They are but zombies speaking their master’s voice.
Your hard attempt to normalize the lie, and to normalize Zelenski will come to a bad end. Really, believe me.
“Your hard attempt to normalize the lie, and to normalize Zelenski will come to a bad end. Really, believe me.”
Do you want to scare people? Bad image of Russia, by the way, “anti-Russian” beyond comparison, commie-like. I’m only on the Internet here. There’s an “end.” There is no “bad end.” Some ends are more good than others and that’s all. Most of us are “hooked” to the Internet. I notice the Saker mentions “hits” as a measure of success. “Hooked” is a big part of the success. Treat that tenderly…until when! Until when am I helping!
Russia isn’t just destroying Ukrainian equipment, they’re also destroying repair yards.
Last week it was laundry services. Uniforms and under garments of Azov, Right Sector and other Nazi units who prefer their Y-fronts well starched was set ablaze. With no change of underpants for weeks and with numerous instances of involuntary bowel accidents due to the constant exploding shells, butt sores are making life in the fortified trenches even more unbearable.
‘Trench bum’ would certainly bring a whole new world of pain with it. Lol.
But seriously speaking it’s probable that disease accounts for a significant proportion of Ukrainian casualties in the trenches at the front — not the same high proportion as in the Crimean war or WW1 due to advances in medicine and ordnance, but significant nonetheless.
If memory serves, in Vietnam the Americans had the equivalent of a division hospitalised at any one time for sickness not related to combat. Trench fever spread by louse-infested rats caused more losses than artillery in WW1. And there were pictures of the nazis deep in the bowels of Azovstal being ‘harassed’ by rats…

The Russian Defence Ministry doesn’t report on the attacks of Ukraine. Ukraine is reporting that it is attacking a lot of things in the South, with long-range artillery. Western media says that it has no way to verify Ukraine’s reports. They seldom quote the Russian MOD. Does anyone attempt to report on the real war as best as possible?
Kiev’s attacks are little tactical events – platoon and company sized.maybe once in a blue moon there is a battalion engaged in offensive action. Essentially irrelevant.
To witness the extent of your long range missile attacks, first you have to raise your head out of the bunker or school or housing project you’re holed up in.
Clarin of Buenos Aires regularly quotes both Ukraine and the Russian MOD. It’s easier for that to be outside both orbits. They have a correspondent there and they quote the Kiev Independent (good source, where else?). Today they reproduce “Russia’s Losses” up to today from this Kiev newspaper: “221 planes”, “188 helicopters”, “167 cruise missiles”, “251 MLRS” (long range artillery weapon), “713 UAV” (drones), “1,704 tanks” are part of this estimation. I know they exaggerate and lie, but “zero” is no less untrue and it’s less informative. Ukraine will exaggerate to keep getting more money and weapons, but it shows their attitude too. We know from the East front that there comes a point where they don’t publish such stats., and they actually talk about “withdrawal” and “indescribably difficult” conditions. Ukraine today still says it is repulsing Russians attacks in the South:
“’Our soldiers have immediately repelled all attempts at assault by the enemy in the directions of Mala Seidemynukha-Andriivka and Davydiv Brid-Bilohirka. The occupiers have retreated,’ the Ukrainian General Staff stressed. –Clarin
to the ‘weapon delivery makes the war longer’, this is only true for weapons for the loosing side, and if the NATOd idiots still think there proxy army will win in the end, its logic… but as the guy whit the cigar and the glas of what ever says: thats only a dream of arogance
Money talks. China gold can create a whole new world order where everyone will say they love rice and soya sauce.
To attack a town you need to carry out a scout mission first to locate the terrorists. After that:
Plan A. Then you only have to make a chemical trail of a gas from a civil look airplane, which makes the whole population temporary unconscious. Hereafter you can go from house to house and pick up the terrorists with a minimum harm to the civilians. Done!
Plan B: is to infect the City’s water supply with LSD. The LSD trick will last at least 36 hours before people comes to their senses again. The civilians will have a nice trip with minimum harm, and the terrorists can be handcuffed one by one. Done!
Many other simple and similar intelligent solutions could be mentioned. But we will not give you all the goodies as the enemy might look into these pages. But it is that easy.
Completely unworkable. Gases disperse and go where the wind blows them. An airplane? Dropping gas? From any altitude? Check out why no one uses mustard gas anymore: There is no “safe” way to handle it and no way to control it after it is dispensed. It is more dense than atmospheric nitrogen and oxygen and tends to settle in holes, but most gases are not heavier than nitrogen and all gases disperse or mix automatically.
As everything had indicated since Istanbul 1 (when Russia withdrew from Northern and Northeastern Ukraine), the agreement signed today (Istanbul 2) marks the beginning of the end of hostilities.
Or at least this is what Russia hopes. Of course, the US will use the 4 months to rebuild Ukraine’s armed forces.
There will be other attacks to come, until Russia is defeated and carved up into smaller, more easily colonized countries.
Once again Russia is defeating itself. The breach of expectation will be brutal.
But the Russian semi surrender will be presented by its government as some kind of victory. A half victory, perhaps.
So much noise for almost nothing. If this was all it was for, then why all that?
How is it possible for a ruling class to betray its People and its Nation, so many times?
On second thought, despite the immense and innumerable differences, maybe Russia and Brazil are not so different.
《One obvious conclusion can be drawn from the grain agreement: there will be no operations to liberate Odessa (incidentally, the most pro-Russian city in Ukraine).
Odessa is being removed from the military operation plan for a long time, if not forever.
The period of validity of the agreement by which Russia renounces its military claims to Odessa is 120 days. During this period, the port infrastructure will not be attacked.
If Russia refuses in principle to vacate the entire Black Sea coast, then there are more and more questions about what this is all about.》
https://t.me/zhivoff/5540
I haven’t read the full text, but it sounds like Russia said it won’t use the Black Sea fleet to attack Odessa for 120 days. That’s not the same as taking Odessa off the board. In fact, likely there never really was an amphibious operation planned. Plus, December isn’t a bad time for military operations in Odessa, especially if you’ve taken a bunch of land territory approaching it.
Also consider that the US, UK and Ukraine are incapable of abiding by any agreements. This one will be off as soon as Ukraine does something stupid like smuggle weapons in via the route. At which point Russia has a valid reason in the eyes of the same world to solve that problem permanently. There’s an even chance that Russia included just such a calculation in its deliberation.
Finally, this agreement comes with a secondary agreement of Russian export through the Black Sea. That means that a lot of countries experiencing serious food issues can once again accept Russian grain without threat of secondary sanctions. And that means more nations on Russia’s side. These things matter on the grand chessboard when you’re openly attempting to unseat a global hegemon.
What I see is the Russian authorities making efforts to show that all measures aiming to bring peace and stability are being made by the russian side. UN and the countries involved in this grain negotiation are probably awared that if something goes wrong (example: deliveries of weapons to Ukraine through the black sea), the response from Russia can be hard, and probably will.
Possibly just a way to clear a demined corridor which would provide either a nice decoy attack or acutal second attack corridor for when the city is encircled.
My Russian mate has family in Odessa. News is that half the city is now evacced and the city is heavily occupied by afu.
So, it wont be easy, plus once you have grain moving through you arent likely to seige with success.
Russia has undertaken to not attack Odessa from the sea. That is all, In fact since signing they sent land based missiles in to Odessa targets.
arkx you are doom and gloom, look at the big picture.
It is not a semi-surrender as you suggest.
Once again Russia has taken the moral high ground and the ZIONATONAZIS will breach the terms and hten the pain dial will be turned up, and up until all objectives are met.
Putin is not Bolsonaro.
“sending Iranian-made drones to Russia for use in Ukraine would prolong this conflict. ”
Can’t find the reference or anything in the transcriptions. This was the only comment on it:
“But on the issue of Iranian support to Russia, we would — we would advise Iran to not — to not do that. We think it’s a really, really bad idea. And I’ll leave that at that.”
Just a different irony: that of the “bad idea” with HiMARS being a “good idea”.
Another example of a US “good idea” vs Iran “bad idea” The Pentagon will announce that they are providing Ukraine with up to 580 Phoenix Ghost tactical unmanned aerial systems. The Phoenix Ghost system is loitering ammunition.
The Saker blog needs a dedicated “de-bunker” of all the mainstream media disinformation and propaganda about events unfolding both in the Ukraine and Russia. There are simply so many stunning alleged “news reports” everywhere on the web, including purported footage relating Ukrainian victories and Russian debacles on the battlefield plus terrible disasters (like extensive fires rampant throughout Moscow) and civil unrest threatening to overthrow Putin as leader of the country. British generals and intel agents are presented as “credible” sources to really make their spiel sound authoritative and convincing to foolish Westerners. I find most of this stuff hard to believe and equally hard to believe that all these sources could or would fake such malarkey. Saker, you need a guy on staff that can respond to much of this bullshit in real time, like Snopes purportedly functioned for so long as a “fact checkers”–that is until it too was outed as a propagator of misinformation preferred by those in power.
Saker has explicitly said that he won’t accept comments that asks/demands that he refute statements made in western media.
Yes, you didn’t ask for him personally to do that, but for him to ask someone in his staff to do that would be the same thing.
Moon of Alabama does a fine job of debunking NATOland lies.
I just discovered these words by Lavrov on the subject on the following reputable blog.
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/57134.htm
Here we go. Excellent advice on interpreting news from any source by Philip Giraldi
https://www.unz.com/pgiraldi/the-all-american-lie-factory/
His take–as I always suspected–most of the news on the Ukraine conflict from Western sources, but especially from Yahoo, the Guardian or the Telegraph is pure undistilled bullshit straight from the MI6 fantasy machine.
Aside from that, an elegant piece of writing by a former American Intel officer putting everything about that conflict in proper perspective. Anyone who tells the truth about Washington’s designs in this immoral travesty arrives at the same conclusion which is that the war is a deliberate American creation founded in the most ignoble of greedy expansionist desires to, simply put, rule the whole flippin’ world.
The conflict is being prolonged no matter what else the Russians do. If I didnt know better, it seems the worst of the holdouts are threatening to blow up the nuclear reactors under their control as the Russians approach, so they retreat to prevent this.
I don’t know the answer to this, but some knockout gas used to work fairly well on the Andy Griffith show, and this is a really big show.
What I would do if I was Putins military advisor, tell Putin to load up the first grain ship into Odessa with high explosives and detonate it when in port, follow it with an invasion.
Is that lying?
What do you call the Minsk agreement?
Most of the people in Odessa are of Russian heritage and speak Russian and have been persecuted by the Zelensky regime. The Russians fight so as to prevent killing civilians and destroying houses and roads and bridges while the AFU does the exact opposite.
Washington will provide Ukraine with 580 Phoenix Ghost kamikaze drones as part of a new military assistance package, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the National Security Council, told the media.
The Pentagon will announce today that they are providing Ukraine with up to 580 Phoenix Ghost tactical unmanned aerial systems.
The Phoenix Ghost system is loitering ammunition.
The total cost of the drones will be about $100 million, Kirby, a spokesman for the US National Security Council, said. The other part of the military aid package is estimated at $175 million, the allocation of which was authorized by US President Biden.
The media write that the package should include 4 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, 36,000 artillery ammunition, anti-tank weapons and automotive equipment.

Hell, the Ukies don’t care if they destroy their own infrastructure and slaughter large masses of their “own” people. They’ve never had any use for morality or the truth. Time for Russia to take the gloves off and absolutely demolish the entire military and government complexes in Kiev, Lvov and Kharkov. Make sure to destroy all the transportation facilities: roads, railways, airports etc to make sure those American weapons stop getting through. This unconcern by Ukies for rules, laws, and the wellbeing of civilians is the scenario that the West portrays and they do not seem to object to it one bit. Give those suckers a dose of their own inhumanity. Stop coddling them and losing your own men in the process. Maybe start firing on Nato operations directed against Russia. Nato has already declared war against you if you didn’t notice. Oh, and blow up the gas pipelines to reward Europe for their treachery. They shouldn’t think they can simply reconnect to the supply of Russian gas if their proxies “win” with all their extensive help. Fighting a war like Jesus would is not gonna cut it against the devils you are facing.
This will only take this fight to another and higher level. Sometimes I think that like in 1941/2 in the Stalingrad battle, Russia will await the winter to make a decisive move in Ukraine. BTW, I think as well that Putin should consider close de doors for some important products delivered by Russia to the west, breaking the legs of these arrogants killers.
Voenkor Kitten Z
Military expert Boris Rozhin with a brief summary of the results of the operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine at 23.30 on July 22, 2022, especially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
1.
Seversk.
Fights in the area of Serebryanka, Verkhnekamensky and Ivano-Daryevka. The RF Armed Forces are grinding enemy positions on the heights adjacent to the city. The enemy suffers significant losses, incl. and prisoners. The Seversk-Soledar road is regularly shelled by Russian artillery.
2.
Soledar.
Fighting on the eastern outskirts of the city, the RF Armed Forces are advancing from Stryapovka.
Battles near Yakovlevka and Belogorovka. The enemy is intensively bombarding Berestovoe in order to prevent our troops from establishing full control over the village.
3.
Artemovsk.
Our troops advanced in Pokrovsky. The enemy has been pushed into the northern part of the village. The capture of Pokrovsky will mean that the Klinovoye-Pokrovskoye line has been broken and further on – Artemovsk itself, to which 2-3 km are left.
Fights at the Veselaia Dolina, as well as at the Uglegorsk TPP and Semigorye. The enemy from the Artemovsk region continues to shell the territory of the LPR, incl. recently liberated Lisichansk agglomeration.
4.
Slavyansk.
No significant changes. Fighting at Sidorovo, Dolina, Bogorodichny and in forest areas northwest of the city. The objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration are subjected to daily missile strikes, which in the event of strikes against the dispositions of enemy units leads to large one-time losses in manpower. In the Izyum direction, there are also no changes so far. The enemy is trying to probe the defense of the RF Armed Forces in the Balakleya area.
5.
Kharkov.
The positions of the battles in the area of the settlement. Udy, Tsupovka, Dementievka, Great Passages, Nursery, Upper Saltov. There are no serious advances on the front. The RF Armed Forces continue to strike at the targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Kharkov, Chuguev and Zolochev. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are shelling the border villages, as well as Cossack Lopan.
6.
Avdiivka.
No significant changes. Positional battles along the Konstantinovka-Avdeevka highway, as well as in the Avdeevka industrial area. Active work of artillery on both sides + ongoing shelling of Donetsk, Yasinovataya and other settlements. The situation is identical in the region of Gorlovka and Dzerzhinsk. Static front + artillery shelling.
7.
Carbon.
Positional battles in the area of Pavlovka, Novomikhailovka, Marinka. The enemy tried to attack in the direction of Glorious. Our troops are crushing the enemy south of Velikaya Novoselovka. In general, the front here is positional in nature.
8.
Zaporozhye.
On the Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka line – medium-intensive positional battles and artillery shelling. The enemy continues to probe the possibilities of advance in the direction of Pologi and Vasilievka.
9.
Nikolaev.
The enemy tried to carry out an attack in the area of Potemkino and Vysokopolye with the forces of two battalions, suffered heavy losses in killed and wounded and was forced to withdraw. Nevertheless, it is quite obvious that political circumstances will push the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be active in the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions, which we have been observing in recent weeks. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation stop this threat with regular strikes in the Krivoy Rog direction. Attacks on Nikolaev continue, inflicting serious losses on the enemy and preventing serious activity from being launched in the direction of Kherson.
It is worth noting the creation in the Kherson region of the “Odessa brigade”, which will be used to attack Nikolaev and Odessa.
10.
Odessa.
In Istanbul, an agreement was reached on the export of Ukrainian grain. They will be exported through Turkey under the control of passing ships by Turkey, the Russian Federation and the UN.
@voenkorKotenok
administration of US President Joe Biden refuses to send Ukraine the requested MQ-1 °C Gray Eagle drones, writes the Wall Street Journal.
Washington fears that drones could fall into the hands of the Russian military and are reminded of the need to train Ukrainian troops to use UAVs.
According to the newspaper, Ukraine asked for these drones more than two months ago.
The Biden administration is reluctant to approve the request, citing a range of concerns, from the potential loss of advanced technology on the battlefield to the need to train Ukrainians to operate drones.

but UK has
Meanwhile, the UK is helping Kiev’s forces to strengthen their air defenses. After months of promises, Ukraine received 6 British Stormer HVM anti-aircraft missile systems. These are the first modern Western-made air defense systems to be transferred to Kiev. The Stormer systems are expected to be deployed either near Kiev, far from the front lines, or in the Kherson direction to secure the Ukrainian counteroffensive.”
from a southern edge of the compass
Regarding the Marinka network of fortifications, if the General Staff can’t figure it out, no one can. They are just going to have encircle it and wear them down, same as Mariupol, Gorske-Zolote, Lysichansk-Severodonetsk. We already know that Russia will not use TOS-1 or Strategic bombing in these locations, so there is no other way. We are all waiting for the next big push along the Seversk-Soledar-Artemovsk-Toretsk line. No use predicting when it will happen since guesses are usually wrong. Maybe Soledar will be the first to fall.
It doesn’t matter. China will occupy any place in any organization independent of US is paying or not the bills. The bankrupcy of the US is a matter of time. Worst, they will be broken and with a society ready to burn the country.
Russia has to change tactics and go back to attacking Khahkiv and drawing Ukraine forces into a cauldron.
The amount of munitions needed to do the same damage to a spread out force will diminish stocks much faster then to a concentrated force.
A battle for Khahkiv will draw Ukraine to the East allowing the attack on supply trains again.
Russia is fighting a war of attrition so Russia must do more damage per round then Ukraine…hence its time to draw forces into a cauldron.
I liked Vladimir Putin getting rebuked by Zelensky after again presenting him as a puppet who, but for the influence of the puppet master, would have already concluded a good negotiation with Russia. Zelensky replied that this was a “total delirium” on his part (that he’s not that puppet). He expressed outrage at Russia’s way of talking about “negotiate.” There is something too negative about the way Putin and his government use the term “negotiation”, which called one’s attention from the start. It reminds you of a mafia situation where somebody is getting beat up while being asked now and then if he is ready to “negotiate.” It would be better to offer “terms” to end the war, or even “surrender” conditions. Russia is normalizing to itself the term “negotiation” in this context. It sounds terrible, “new” too, and Zelensky replied harshly, but understandably to most people. That’s just one thing in the larger communication of Russia; Zelensky’s language is worse in a general sense because he keeps talking and rejecting peace talks (“peace talks”, another term better than “negotiate”) as if Ukraine can defeat Russia.

First of all, thanks for the SitRep, as always.
I am not an armchair general, I am a general on an armchair, and would like to confirm what towns are you referring to. At 2:46 they mention Pisky, followed by Marinka at 2:51. I’ll take up the gauntlet re: attacking whatever towns avoiding civilian toll. First I need to confirm which towns you are talking about.
Thanks.

L.W. Post from another site but I thought you’d find it interesting:
Many of the people who are Pro-Russia are currently confused and probably upset at this development because they distrust Turkey but in reality they are unable to see “the big picture”. Russia is currently conducting what I have decided to label a STPO or a Special Trifecta Political Operation and Putin is using Turkey as the protagonist nation in order to inflict maximum damage on the U.S. the EU and NATO. I labeled it a trifecta operation because this operation will serve three main objectives that can only be accomplished in sequential order, one at a time. The first objective is almost complete and that is Turkey becoming a member of BRICS. As soon as Turkey joins BRICS, the U.S. and the EU will lose their means of control as they will no longer be able to subjugate Turkey by means of economic extortion. Turkey will now fall into Russia and China’s sphere of economic influence. China will have the pleasure of hammering the last nail in the coffin by rewarding Turkey with a very important and lucrative role in China’s massive Silk Road Initiative. Turkey is practically “Middle Earth” geographically in the perfect location right in the center of the globe where billions of dollars worth of goods will pass through Turkey from east to west north and south. The secondary goal of the STPO is for Turkey to leave NATO. After Turkey officially scraps NATO the third and final objective will be reached because Turkey will have no choice in this regard. Peace negotiations will finally be carried out between Syria, turkey, the Kurds and Iraq. Russia, Iran and China will broker the peace negotiations. This was the main reason why Russia, Iran and Turkey met a few days ago in Tehran. In my sincere opinion this type of complex and delicate political balancing act is only coming to fruition because of Putin’s vision, pragmatism, and his fair and balanced approach to international world affairs. When Turkish rebels shot down the Russian jets, Putin was castigated by his own followers for not reacting with an iron fist. When Turkey attacks northern Syria again they pass the harshest judgement on Russia and Putin for not retaliating against Turkey. Putin has the power to punish and crush Turkey overnight. All he has to do is give the green light to shut off the flow of Russian gas and oil to Turkey and the economy of Turkey will implode and collapse. That would only transform the government of Turkey and an additional 86 million Turks into rabid and permanent pro-NATO, pro-EU, Russophobes. Instead Putin had much bigger plans for Turkey and as we speak Turkey is well on its way to becoming a BRICS member, the U.S. is about to lose its influence over Turkey and practically the entire middle east and NATO and the EU are soon going to lose one of their biggest armies. Most important of all I see peace on the horizon for the people of Syria who have endured years of endless war.
Makes sense. Must be so, can’t be by accident.
I think it was when the Russian pilot was killed that Turkey did not react well at the beginning, and at some point Putin said that it was up to them (Turkey) what type of relations would both countries have. We see there that at some point there is no “monkey business” allowed. Probably still exerts leverage over Turkey regarding a “good relationship.” The ‘funny’ thing is that the West, in its entirety, doesn’t yet know Putin! I was listening to the CIA director in Aspen talking about Putin at length on television, describing him. He has a similar opinion to that of all the TV pundits; then they all literally say Ukraine beats or stops Russia! (There are levels to “thinking” and those who don’t aspire to get as high as possible, fall into that ditch, rich or poor.)

———————————————————————————————–
Thanks, R.B.
Definitely an interesting thinker.
This is the kind of asymmetrical war Putin is a master at.
Putin saved Erdogan’s ass from a certain death in the coup d’etat orchestrated by Western intel. Ever since, Erdogan doesn’t trust the West anymore. However, he decided to exploit his geostrategic position, straddled between two continents, confirming Napoleon dictum that “to know a nation’s geography is to know its foreign policy.”
Many people, including myself, have fallen into judging Erdogan as “erratic.” Though he appears so, there is nothing erratic about that fox. A confirmation of his position vis-a-vis East vs West was the most recent meeting of the Astana format. Before that, his refusal to go against Russia on the war with Ukraine, while playing “friend” to Ukraine and making billions with drones that Russia has shut down like flies, is a clear example of his foxy traits.
His most recent role hosting Russia and Ukraine for the signing of an agreement re: the selling of grains, speaks volumes about his drive to remain relevant in the region, while helping Russia get out of the sanctions box allowing the sale of fertilizers and grain, at the same time slamming the foaming at the mouth Russophobic crowd yelling “Russia is starving the world.” Russia allows Erdogan to play the role of mediator, which enhances his stature as a statesman, Putin knows very well how to exploit his healthy ego.
On another note, I have seen very negative comments re: the grain agreement, as if Russia gave up Odessa for good.
See for example, arkx Brasil on July 22, 2022 · at 2:55 pm EST/EDT, and others.
They fail to see the following.
1) Russia is fighting an asymmetrical war, they should first understand what that concept actually means, instead of judging Russia’s military praxis from a linear advance perspective.
2) Russia is fighting a “combined arms police operation” (A. Martyanov), not a war. The demand for Russia to demolish Ukraine (see nsa on July 22, 2022 · at 12:11 pm EST/EDT), or the judging of the SMO as a failure based on Russia’s inability to stop the shelling on Donetsk and other cities, destroy all the Ukrainians howitzers, MLRS, rockets, artillery, planes, mortars, is actually ignorance of military praxis.
3) The current “stagnation” at the front is not a quagmire, not by far. Allied forces are preparing to make the final push to break the line Slavyansk/Soledar/Bakhmut, that was the reason for Shoigu’s visit. Second echelon forces have been holding down the fort, while crack troops rotate for R&R. The Wagner Orchestra, for example, has not been playing in towns around Soledar, where it was detached for the Lisichansk/Severodonetsk campaign, holding down Ukronazis from being detached north. In the meantime, the front has been extremely active, the Seversk/Slavyansk/Kramatorsk campaign has not slow down a bit.
4) Putin Iran’s meeting with Erdogan, Raisi, Khamenei, was a political masterstroke, shaking the Eurobastards “wall of sanctions,” now that Marshall Winter is coming around the corner, they have to stop thinking with their Russophobic asses. The cementing of a strategic alliance between Russia and Iran, has a pulling effect on Turkey, who is witnessing Iran flying high in the Eurasian sky, soon a member of the SCO, which will make Iran untouchable under the protection of Russia/China nuclear umbrella, formally applying to add another brick to the BRICS, launching the eastern section of the INSTC, all despite the Western sanctions.
What sanctions?
5) Turkey knows the wind is blowing East, and Erdogan is struggling not to be left behind, trying to catch the tail wind. As long as Erdogan understand his limitations, meaning Turkey’s future development of its economical potential can only happen through its insertion in the Eurasian maze via Russia/Iran, Turkey will be safe. It seems they cut him short on his Napoleon delusions with his Idlib “offensive,” which ended up in nothing more than huffing and puffing, previous to the meeting in Iran. Don’t say “Wagner Orchestra.” It reminds me of Richard Wagner instead. Find the funny guy who thought of that name. Maybe it’s like saying they have “the same thing” now. “The Wagner Orchestra!” I hope they don’t do a roar like “Waaaaaaagggneeeer” in the next march.
Say it! Say it again! (Play it again Sam!)
I hope they roar the small repeating stanza of the Ride of the Valkyries and roar them right into Valhalla! There to commune with Bandera forever.
@Lone Wolf: ->”Russia is fighting an asymmetrical war, they should first understand what that concept actually means”
Here is an important piece of information, please do not take it as some kind of arrogance on my part.
On the contrary, it is just an example of how, although we Brazilians are not very well known in the world, we are very dedicated to getting to know the world.
In special, Russia. A country on which the very survival of the world largely depends.
Alexandre Visacro is a colonel in the Brazilian Army. He has held several command posts in contingents of special forces.
He specializes in counter-insurgency. He is a researcher of asymmetric warfare. On this subject he published two books (both references for anyone interested in the subject):
– Irregular Warfare: terrorism, guerrilla and resistance movements throughout history.
– War in the Information Age.
The concept of “hybrid warfare” is well known and debated in Brazil, especially considering the events that have occurred here since 2014 (not coincidentally the same year as the coup in Ukraine).
Of course, there can always be divergent opinions, even more so given the complexity of the ongoing situation. But this is certainly not due to a lack of information, but rather to different paradigms of analysis.
As for the so-called “Grain Agreement”, what can be observed and followed in the reactions on the Russian channels on Telegram (but not only this, I cite them only as an obvious and immediate source of evaluation) seems to follow a recurrent pattern in situations of this type:
– in a first moment there is a strong breach of expectation (as had occurred before when the preliminary agreement of Istanbul 1, with the Russian withdrawal from the surroundings to Kiev);
– this is a moment characterized by shock and silence, demonstrations cease (except for those who had previously openly expressed disagreement with the direction of the Russian SMO);
– after that, a state of denial is imposed, from which arise various readings caused by dissonant cognition (this is the situation we are in now).
How can we even remotely orient ourselves in the face of the diplomatic moves taking place behind the scenes of the military line of contact?
Our only possibility to dispel the fog, not only from the war but mainly from political negotiations, is to resort to the examples of History (although always with the precaution of knowing that they are unique and do not repeat themselves).
What led to the signing of the Minsk Accords in 2014/2015?
What were the consequences?
What can be learned from these consequences?
Consider: perhaps a sincere friend, despite his unpleasant manifestations, is preferable to an insidious hypocritical enemy, always expressing himself with charming opinions.
Didn’t anybody know that Wilhelm Richard Wagner had his operatic orchestra and was one of the greatest German music composers, and was also a German symbol of patriotism, of German nationalism, and the biggest influence over Adolf Hitler, who venerated him? To come up with this name designation during the war against “Nazi” Ukraine is amazing, or funny – you name it. It is a joke or is it the one? You would think it’s what would be done if Ukraine won. Millions died fighting. I’m the foreigner who says to your govt. (it’s not from your media, right?): Don’t do this. Don’t be ignorant, if that’s what it is. Respect the WWII army more. Remember when you have to remember. Understand first, obviously.
Liberation of Odessa (phase 3) couldn’t possible begin within 120 days purely due to logistic reasons. The Allies will spend the next 120 days preparing the theater for phase 3.
meanwhile phase 2 continues aspace.
If you are correct RB it is a fantastic plan and I hope it works out that way.
It also shows that VVP and his advisors are the sharpest tools in the shed by a huge margin. No wonder the West’s minions and puppets are shrieking and having hissie fits.
Lone Wolf, he did not say a name now on listening again .. He talks about ‘this town’ at time marker 2:52. Town is in entrenched lines and it made quite an impression on my eyes.
The UN – aside from needing 90%+ of its oligarch-sponsored mouthpieces replaced with more representative people – needs to be moved from its Rockefeller-$ponsored empyre-centered pied a terre to some country less known for its all-mode chicanery.
Here’s a tiny little violin playing for Linda Thomas-Greenfield and her pity party.
These comments by Thomas-Greenfield are a classic example of Orwellian American values.
While Greenfield whines that America’s Numero Uno Enemy Nation, China, is gaining influence at the UN at the USA’s expense, she forgets to mention that her America is actively working to subvert and sabotage the UN in the first place by aggressively promoting its Rules-Based International Order™ as a political trojan horse.
As Russian leaders like Sergei Lavrov and others have stated many times, America’s Rules-Based International Order is nothing more than a thinly concealed attempt to usurp the United Nations Charter as the basis of international law in favor of an arbitrarily-defined “Rules-Based Order” to be dictated by America and its vassals/democratic allies.
‘Rules-Based Order’ Is Cover for Destructive Western Hegemonic Ambitionshttps://www.greanvillepost.com/2021/05/17/rules-based-order-is-cover-for-destructive-western-hegemonic-ambitions/
So America should really stop whining, as it’s only getting what it deserves.
UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield probably has forgotten about Nikki Hadley and Samantha Power.
Other delegates at UN probably wish they could forget.
Herein lies part of Uncle Scams problem.
Each admin and each new cog in the US machine thinks they are shiny and special… they may have the awareness and memory of a goldfish, but the Rest of the World can recall American “exceptionalism” stretching back decades..
“Manifest destiny” always existed but not “American exceptionalism” as in “the indispensable nation.” This is new. Biden embraced this. Obama. Although he acted that way, I am not sure W. Bush said it. Either W. Bush or Obama began embracing this thing which is a much stronger version than the former. I don’t believe Clinton spoke that way. Bush senior spoke about a New World Order, but I don’t remember him saying such things, do you? I don’t believe he did. Ronald Reagan didn’t. He said things like, “After all, we are Americans” and “…the shinning city on the hill.” He was too suave to say “we are the indispensable…” or “America is the exceptional nation.” He came real close. In retrospect, he was too much like that (cheesy), but not like this other thing. It still came across as “patriotism” from him. This is “manifest destiny” on steroids. Carter didn’t. Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, etc., did not speak like that. None in the 19th century did. We could zero in on it more exactly if we did a little research. I believe Obama started this, because W. Bush didn’t get “lyrical.” He just looked and spoke down to people like I never saw any president do (“you are either with us or against us” kind of thing). He always called my attention for that. Politicians are charming; he was daddy’s son, with a right to it. Trump was just braggadocious (if he said it, somebody stuck it in his speech). This leaves only Obama. Since people even doubted his nationality…a rhetorical overreaction would be one theory that explains this new rhetoric a little; he was a better politicians than that, so it would be something rare like his travails that would cause him to speak like that…
hope this helps: https://theconversation.com/madeleine-albright-saw-us-as-an-indispensable-nation-and-nato-expansion-eastward-as-essential-179925
I believe Shrub was on board on the concept, but the demographic he was marketed for wouldn’t go for it. In fact, one of his 2000 campaign promises he claimed the days of “nation building” were over. Enter My Pet Goat . In short it’s a neo-liberal as opposed to neo-conservative slogan, but it’s all the same manure
Poor Germany! Can’t we let them import gas through Nordstream 2? It’s time for all the countries supporting Freedom and Democracy to support Germany in her hour of need.
Russia is up to her old “mystery wrapped in an enigma” tactics again. After the Severodonetsk Lysychansk battle, Putin suddenly said all Ukrainians can apply for Russian passports. Is Putin hoping the Ukrainians turn on their Jewish leadership, who knows? But Russia is useless on the soft skills side, just look how the supposed bribery of the Ukie general staff before the SMO turned out, they all fought against Russia. All that is happening now is shelling, this could go on for months, definitely General Winter will do the job in a few months time with those not killed by the shelling by then. NATO in Europe will do nothing because they are too scared that they will run out of gas. But Russia has time on her side so she can do as she wants when she wants.
Can you provide a link from the RF MOD explaining where they tried to buy off the Ukrainian General Staff.

Didn’t you say the Allied forces are not attacking Odessa for 120 days? Where did you hear that? There is nothing in the agreement that says such a thing. Nothing. If you can find it, show it for me, I will stand corrected.

Odessa brigade announced an offensive on Nikolaev and Odessa
22.07.2022 · In the world
In the Kherson region, the Odessa Brigade has completed combat coordination – in the near future offensive operations will begin in the Mykolaiv and Odessa directions.
“In the near future, together with the allied forces, we will begin to liberate the city of Nikolaev and the hero-city of Odessa. There will be no mercy for Ukronatsiists, mercenaries and all sorts of Bandera evil spirits from us, “the representative of the brigade said.
Separately, we note that the brigade consists of immigrants from the south of Ukraine, Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.

‘Grain Deal’ Destroys Anti-Russian Front
“…The fact that officers from Russia and Ukraine are expected to work together as part of a group of inspectors in Turkey is a “successful result” from a political point of view, says Fyodor Lukyanov, scientific director of the Valdai Discussion Club, professor at the Higher School of Economics. “It is important that we managed to agree on a different number of issues. However, this will not have any extrapolation effect, there will be no expansion of cooperation from this. This is a concrete agreement on an important issue for the parties. But we still need to see how this mechanism will work,” the expert told the Vzglyad newspaper.
At the same time, the “food deal” has no political significance for relations between Moscow and Kiev, the political scientist adds. “This deal to some extent has such a meaning for Russia itself – the line of accusations that because of us “the whole world is starving” is weakening. But nothing will change in terms of Russian-Ukrainian relations,” Lukyanov said…”

It is too early for any deductions from this fact. There are open possibilities that only sequencing can confirm.
In any case, a war (or any military operation) can only be won by weapons, not by diplomacy.
But diplomacy has its irreplaceable function in consolidating military victory into political victory, thus making lasting peace possible.
The Grain Agreement
There are a few things that we do not know. Bear in mind these were back to back agreements, Russia agreeing with UN and Turkey and the Ukraine agreeing with UN and Turkey. There is also a part that talks about Russia itself exporting food .. I have not had sight of this.
Shoigu on Odessa:
So, Shoigu says ‘the fleet’. The concept here is that the safe passage remains open. How that turns into practicality I don’t know. If ‘the fleet’ will not act, we still have ‘the ground’ and the ‘air’ no? I wanna see the actual agreements.
Then, Mr Lavrov did not even mention that but he mentioned something else that is quite revealing. Note his sentence about the UN negotiators “Interestingly, the negotiators from the UN Secretariat promoted a position that did not quite align with the Secretary-General’s original initiative. ” I immediately read ‘dissension in the ranks!’ and we all know that Guterres started playing flip flop in the last number of months .. Another one being threatened to hell just like José Bustani, who was threatened as well as his family by the exceptional moustached man from the US?
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement (https://mid.ru/en/foreign_policy/news/1823484/) regarding agreements on transporting Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports and on promoting Russian exports of food and fertilisers
And then, Pepe is all over this of course.
So, I hope we get to see the agreements.
Sorry for this long post, but we better get the detail right here. Intel Slava reports the following: Correct, half correct, maybe a little correct? I don’t know.
The US is preparing for a compromise?
Today, Russia has given guarantees that it will not attack Odessa from the sea for 120 days, so that Ukraine can sell its grain and other goods by sea.
And here is the news that appeared immediately after that:
– The United States did not transfer aircraft to Ukraine, but only helps with spare parts for existing aviation – Pentagon
– The United States does not intend to provide Ukraine with ATACMS missiles (range up to 300 km), Biden’s national security aide said.
– Possible supply of US fighter jets to Ukraine is not considered in the near future – White House
— The United States and allies need Russian oil supplies to world markets, otherwise prices for it will rise again
— Lithuania resumed transit between Russia and the Kaliningrad region
This plot thickens … reports of missile attacks in Port City Of Odessa
Footage of purported attacks near the port, but away from the city’s grain facilities, are circulating on social media.
Again, at this stage true or false I don’t know.
it is tempting to justifiably believe that Ukr did this to blame Russia….just at these moments as it does with many things such as warnings by Russia of Ukr mining a coke plant with radioactive materials and other nasties to blow up and claim it was Russia in their increasing desperation…to discredit Russia in the eyes of the world and UN…..USA and ICJ la Hague is pursuing Russia is a terrorist country committing genocide( ?now against the world peoples not only UKR)…some states are trying to still get Russia dismissed from UN…..etc etc
could be old footage as video appears undated….any satellite imagery to prove it- remembering USA said it had but never revealed such re MH17-Russia should be monitoring Odessa and whole south coast surely and if can prove Ukr was behind it (one speculates Ukr could find convenient evidence reassembled from other sites and events)…….
Warnews247 has a vid, one missile, it came straight down, missile explodes, then stuff starts cooking off, like forever, lots of bling taken off the table, I think it was Odessa….they are reporting heavy Odessa strikes the past 48 hrs. Bet the locals can’t wait to welcome the Odessa Brigade when they get there.
Cheers M
The US has been denying that ATACMS will be going to Ukraine since May. It’s not new. No fighter jets for more or less the same reason. The EU was intimidated into ordering Lithuania to back down. All before any grain deal. What’s your game?
Lots of statements here without any proof of any of this.
And each post, snarky comment as the last line? Yikes.

Yes, it really looks like it was all pre-arranged: parallell with the grain trade signing, all was prepaed for a massive MSM campaign, every word rehearsed, and quickly printed out:
The explosions in Odessa, whether from Russian attack from land (which is not prohibited by the grain arrangements (only attacks from the navy was)), or a FF from UAF.
Now everything is a landslide of accusations against Russia, at the same time as Zelensky & co heroically states that “they will go on planning for the grain exports”.
Intelslava has a comment, saying that local intel claims this is RF messaging: “don’t think you are safe just because of this trade agreement”, but who knows…

The Hungarian guy is also talking a lot these days and most of it is sense.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that Ukraine will never win the war — Reuters
The agency quotes Orban as saying why Kyiv is not able to win a military confrontation with Russia: “Simply because the Russian army has an asymmetric superiority.”
The Hungarian leader also said that there is no chance for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
“Because Russia wants security guarantees, this war can only be ended by peace talks between Russia and America.”
———————————————————————————–
“The Hungarian guy” is not as stupid as he looks.
“Simply because the Russian army has an asymmetric superiority.”
He expanded upon my point above.
“Because Russia wants security guarantees, this war can only be ended by peace talks between Russia and America.”
Master to Master, final conversation.
That will only come after the criminal Collective West has bled Ukraine white, in their vain attempt to wear Russia away in a protracted conflict. The US/UK military know very well Ukraine cannot win the war, for the same reasons “the Hungarian guy” pointed above. And they also know that all the hardware in the world thrown into Battlefield Ukraine will not change the outcome.
Only an army that is properly trained and prepared can absorb war materiel in large quantities, and integrate them at different levels into their fighting force to make a difference in the battlefield. That was US lend-lease for the Soviet Union in WWII. That is not the case for Ukraine. Ukraine has been trained and prepared for a set-piece positional battle, and they are showing some effectiveness in some areas doing so, precisely, as the map shows in “Military Summary.”
Otherwise, they are being decimated piecemeal.

It is a win-win scenario nevertheless. It deprives AZE of a relentless PR lie that Russia was holding up grain and fertilizer to the world. This was already debunked on many levels, and blamed by Africans on the West’s cruel sanctions. It is this sensitivity IMHO which forced a temporary concession by the West, with both sides fully cognizant the truce would immediately break down.. just like Yanukovych’s deal still led to the Maidan the very next day.
Nevertheless, Russia still:
(1) established good will and faith actions in eyes of Global South (the target audience which counts) even under the duress of liberating its ancestral lands, and Odessa is a key prize which will be obtained soon,
(2) as you said, it doesn’t impede land and air attacks, which were posited to be the key attack modalities anyway,
(3) it keeps Turkey tighter bound to the multipolarity bandwagon, busy being “a Statesman” and making a buck on the side
(4) it unfreezes sanctions on various Russian banks which allows quick lifesaving transfer of food, fertilizer and other needed goods to Global South (why the delay though in quickly establishing non-SWIFT and dollar transaction mechanisms?!!!)
(5) it gives less excuse for NATO navies to enter Black Sea, relieving need for Turkey to turn them back, Russia to suicide them, and perhaps allowing Turkey quicker leeway to reopen the Straits
(6) with the increased shipping, it will provide more opportunities for Russia to surreptitiously resume the Syrian marine voentorg given the heating of that front; perhaps this was among understanding reached with the wily Sultan in Tehran a few days ago… the byzantine politics of the middle east!!
PS – I am as confused as our intrepid global FM Lavrov who said in a recent communique “Türkiye” then a few lines later, “Turkish partners!” How to square the circle? Shouldn’t it be “Türkiyeish partners?” We await clarification from Ankara or the noösphere..

Great summary, thanks!
I think “the wily Sultan” is the best definition I have seen of Erdogan. It fits him perfectly.
On another note, while Ukraine is bound to make a billion dollars a month for the sale of grains, according to VZGLYAD, this is what the “Grain Agreement” means for Russia.
https://vz.ru/politics/2022/7/22/1168937.html
”…By the way, Ukraine can export about five million tons of wheat, which is only a fraction of a percent of world grain production, the president reminded. At the same time, Russia, according to him, will export 37 million tons of wheat in the current agricultural year, and in 2022-2023 it will raise this figure to 50 million.
————————————————————
How many billions of dollars does that mean for Russia?
From the same article,
At the same time, a memorandum was signed on the abolition of restrictions on the export of agricultural products and fertilizers from Russia. It was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres…
As for the memorandum signed by Belousov, it will be valid not for 120 days, but for three years. It stipulates that the sanctions imposed earlier against the Russian Federation no longer apply to Russian food and fertilizers. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who remained in Moscow, in turn, said: the main goal of the Istanbul agreements is to remove obstacles to the supply of our food and fertilizers to world markets. The fact of their signing emphasizes the artificiality of the West’s attempts to blame Russia for the problems with the supply of grain to world markets, Lavrov added…
————————————————
So, Ukraine can export grains for the season, 120 days, 4 billion dollars total approx., while Russia has no restrictions for three years in the selling of food and fertilizers to world markets.
A Martian will find that a win-win situation for Russia.
As for Odessa, is just a matter of time. 120 days is about the time needed to clean up the space between the current Ukronazi line, and Odessa. No time wasted.
Lone Wolf
Thanks for that Lone Wolf – I did not quite get it on the lifting of restrictions on Russian grains and fertilizers. And so the sanctions become dust in the wind.
You’re welcome Lone Wolf and Mrs A. we’re a complementary team.
I forgot:
(7) Odessa with its 2,500 km of catacombs and extra-strong zionazi entrenchment was considered by many to be among last points to be liberated. It is an emotionally critical location for the Nudelmans and other Khazarians formerly of Bessarabia, a key reason they hate Russia and occupied this region..
So it will be Mariupol on steroids. This effect can be lessened by siege and the demoralization of seeing the inevitability of loss (being last standing with no chance of relief). And I agree, is 120 days even a delay if it was scheduled after Kharkov, Nikolaev, etc..?
🇷🇺🇺🇦 And one more thing about Odessa: the grain is stored in Khlebnaya Gavan (the Brooklyn-Kyiv terminal, marked at the top of the map), and the explosions occurred in Zavodskaya Gavan (at the bottom of the map), where Ukrainian military boats are located.
The U.S. corporate LAMESTREAM “media” will always promote false flag operations as “breaking news” when they are failing with their PNAC agenda.

“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting”
Sun Tzu
Paraphrasing Clausewitz, diplomacy is war by other means. The Vietnamese called it “talk-talk, fight-fight,” same principle was using by the Chinese (Da–Da, Tan–Tan) and the Russians before.

It is no longer about identifying tank columns and locating priority targets, but about understanding social enviroments, behaviors, psychologies.
It is about influencing human wills through the selective and selective and proportional application of force.
Any major operation is now above all a communications operation, where every act, even the most insignificant, speaks louder than words.
Thus, the line of contact is in each person. With victory implying the conquer of the hearts and minds of a population, more than the territory they inhabit.
Hence the extreme importance of keeping track of the psycho-emotional component of individuals and social groups.
If the U.S. Operation Desert Storm was called a live war, then the current conflict in Ukraine has become not only a war in interactive mode.
To a civilian, the current war is no longer a newspaper report, or even a TV news report. The war today is an endless stream of exclusive media content from hundreds of direct channels from the combatants on the front lines.
Something similar occurred in Syria. But now, regarding the troops in the Donbass, the civilian himself can participate in the battles without enlisting: he just has to make a donation to the unit he wants to support.
The units create a channel on Telegram. They start posting combat content filmed from a drone, or a GoPro camera. The content attracts media attention, gains views, the channel’s audience grows.
Every day, the channels on Telegram collect millions of rubles to buy equipment for the units.
@Lone Wolf: -> “The Russians are masters of the “talk-talk, fight-fight” strategy, the Red Army used it effectively while fighting the White Armies after the 1917 revolution.”
Here is the question: how to make the Revolution in the 21st century?
One must leave behind the classical models and understand the preponderant financial, logistical, and technological characteristics of today’s Capitalism.
It is no longer a matter of fighting among the people, “like a fish in water,” but of being the very water in which our enemies drown.
Sun Tzu is still extremely relevant today. We just need to apply it without losing sight of the contemporary context.
PS: I watched the video you indicated about the Battle of Kursk in WWII. Then I remembered that I had already seen parts of the film. I am especially touched by the scene in which the Russian officer refuses to run and be executed from behind. Honor even in death.

Sun Tzu and the art of war in the 21st century? How and why to fight? Or: how to defeat the enemy without even fighting?
Nothing has changed from the times Sun Tzu lived and fought, the “Warring States” period to now. Same iniquity, vacuity, ignorance, depravity, that humanity experiences now, existed then. On the other hand, noble ideals, chivalry, thirst for knowledge, ethics and morals, were as prevalent then as they are now.
Humanity has not changed a bit.
Greed and possessiveness, which Sun Tzu conceives as the root of all conflicts, continue unabated today as it was then. It might have increased exponentially, unbridled for the lack of values and principles, still, it was greed and possessiveness that gave birth to the “Warring States” period, Sun Tzu’s historical context.

“Rise a knight!”

One of my favorite films, very influential during a crucial period in my life. I am not sure Belian had to fight that war against Salah al-Din, he could have just leave Al Quds, Salah al-Din was a merciful warrior, he was not going to commit a wanton massacre of innocent people.
There is another film with a similar line, Red Cliff I & II, a Chinese classic based on the application of the principles of Sun Tzu’s “Art of War.” Liu Bei, a ruler during the “Three Kingdom Period,” ask one of his commanders during a battle with Cao Cao,
“If we cannot offer protection to the civilians then what is the meaning of this war?”
which brings to mind Donetsk and surroundings.
—————————————————————
It is no longer about identifying tank columns and locating priority targets, but about understanding social enviroments, behaviors, psychologies.
It was the same then and now. The search for insights into the enemy’s mindset, psychological factors influencing the battlefield, popular support, etc., has not changed at all. All we have developed is gadgets that helps kill more of the enemies, more efficiently, with less casualties on our side, if at all, and instead of banners we have a digital battlefield. Principles of war remain the same.
———————————————————————————————–
Here is the question: how to make the Revolution in the 21st century?
You have an ongoing revolution before your eyes, and you’re asking me that question? What do you think Putin is doing? His is an insurrection, a challenge of the PTB, a defiance of the ruled-based order, a rebellion of the world’s masses against the dominant powers, led by Russia.
—————————————————————————————–
One must leave behind the classical models and understand the preponderant financial, logistical, and technological characteristics of today’s Capitalism.
It is the same greed, different times, no matter the system, feudalism, capitalism. The savage capitalism in which neo-cons like la Nuland and her partners in crime have built current US foreign policy, needs to be stopped. Only Russia has the power to challenge the Anglo-Saxon world of greed and degeneracy, and when victorious, lead the world in a new direction.
———————————————————–
It is no longer a matter of fighting among the people, “like a fish in water,” but of being the very water in which our enemies drown.
That requires creating a sea of resistance, which Iran has been working on for years, the Axis of Resistance. Russia and China are now amplifying it, expanding it to the rest of Eurasia, and beyond. The most recent “Grain Agreement” was celebrated across the poor countries of Africa and Asia, which have refused under great pressure to join the sanctions against Russia.
————————————————————
Sun Tzu is still extremely relevant today. We just need to apply it without losing sight of the contemporary context.
“…Still extremely relevant today…”
Really?
Sun Tzu has no substitute, the principles he embodied are as eternal as the eternal Tao.
You have it in reverse, context does not matter, what matters is not to lose sight of Sun Tzu’s principles.
————————————————————————————————
PS: I watched the video you indicated about the Battle of Kursk in WWII. Then I remembered that I had already seen parts of the film. I am especially touched by the scene in which the Russian officer refuses to run and be executed from behind. Honor even in death.
Russians know very well the principles of warriorship, which are the same for any culture. First rule of the Samurai, is to know that he has to die.

@Lone Wolf: -> “If we cannot offer protection to the civilians then what is the meaning of this war?” which brings to mind Donetsk and surroundings.
From our communication several possibilities for reflection open up. I will refer to the one that seems to me to define the core of the dialogue, that is:
– we have a great convergence as to the end, but relevant divergences as to the means.
We are both viscerally opposed to an unfair world, but we see different ways of overcoming this condition.
And in this respect it is necessary to consider means and end not separately, but as different moments and perspectives of the same process.
This is a very complex and also a very controversial theme.
And on it there are many concrete examples in the current war in Ukraine. Some positive for Russia, some not.
Mr. Putin is also quite complex and controversial. No doubt a remarkable historical character, on which we should focus our attention with affection but also with rigor.
@Lone Wolf: -> “First rule of the Samurai, is to know that he has to die.”
I have already watched the movie “Red Cliff”. There are many interesting Chinese films. “The Tiger and the Dragon” has become a classic. There is another one, less known, with a touch of Kurosawa: “Hero”. How to establish the truth of the facts, if not by confronting the various narratives about them?
“Tai Chi Zero” may seem like a banal film. However, in it are the main issues of the political struggle: the Land, the Community, and the Territory.
In this sense, a fundamental reference is a small huge Brazilian book: “Por Terra e Território: o Caminho da Revolução dos Povos no Brasil” (“For Land and Territory: the Path of the People’s Revolution in Brazil”).
We live in atrocious and extremely dangerous times. Death has placed itself an inch away from our noses. And it asks us, staring deep into our eyes: Who do you want to be?
A valid question for each one of us, as for all humanity. Life is only really beautiful for the resurrected.
Wolves are strange animals. They are at the same time solitary and in packs.
One cannot be a wolf. Only 5 or 6 wolves. Not 5 or 6 wolves at the same time. Each one alone, but one wolf among others. When the pack gathers, each wolf has another wolf beside him. And for each wolf to be connected to the pack, all the wolves form a circle. A wolf can only be one wolf among others. Together with 5 or 6 other wolves. But still all of them lone.
Where is the “Kingdom of Heaven”? Inside each one of us, for sure. But we can only realize it on Earth collectively. All of this so that in the end, we can go back to being an anonymous and lonely blacksmith living in the timeless Jerusalem.

In regards to Gonzalo’s analysis on the US assassinating Zelensky (https://youtu.be/mactoSForFY) — it is textbook US behaviour. We’ve heard this song before.
He makes very good points. As the US knows Ukraine is about to fold and donbass is about to fall to the Russians, USA will attempt to turn Ukraine into a civil war mess. Same thing they did to Libya.
But we still think this coup is coming from within Zelensky’s own ranks as we stated in our original analysis.
Time will tell, if Zelensky really is a deadman walking, Russia will be blamed for it one way or another.
The fact is that if Russia wanted Zelensky dead, he’d be fertilizer since the first day of the invasion. Nobody doubts this and everybody knows this. Russia can take him out anytime they like.

Clearly you’re not a gardener. What kind of vegetables would you produce, with clown Zelensky as a fertilizer?
Plus, after a Kinzhal or a “calibration,” there is nothing left but powder and toxic residues from the explosion.

OK, so now we know who shot what and why at Odessa port. Russians clean up!
From the MoD today.
💥Attack launched by high-precision long-range sea-based missiles has resulted in the elimination of Ukrainian military ship and a depot of Harpoon anti-ship missiles delivered by USA to the Kiev regime in the seaport of Odessa.
And RT has a writeup, but take that carefully. https://www.rt.com/russia/559547-ukraine-odessa-zakharova-grain/
I’ve not checked Maria Zakharova’s comment that is referred to in the RT piece.
So, 404 cries about Russia’s blocking Ukrainian ports to export grain, were just a pretext to use these ports to pile up on arms. The grain they had for exports is mostly gone by train and other ways. The “Grain Agreement,” however, provided a cover for them to smuggle arms via the ports designed in the agreement to export grains. Russia’s “calibration” called their game into the open.
The signer for Russia in the agreement is Shoigu, not Lavrov, Ukrainians cannot expect a démarche from Shoigu. After all, Russia is one the parties by the agreement that is to check on ships getting in or out of the Black Sea. Well, they checked this one, by other means, it had no grains, so, go rest from being misused.

The mystery of the “grain agreement”. What’s left out of the deal
24.07.2022 · Economics
The Istanbul “grain agreement” has been officially concluded. Why did Russia go for it at all, does Moscow have any secret plan? We understand in detail together with experts.
So, the Istanbul “grain agreement” has been officially signed. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was pleased that grain would go along the Black Sea from Ukraine in the coming days, a demonstration provocation was immediately organized in Odessa with an attack on one of the ports, the purpose of which was to discredit Moscow. Meanwhile, the Network is wondering: why did Russia need this and is there any secret plan of Moscow? On the other hand, if the Istanbul deal had been unprofitable for Russia, would we not have signed it?
Boris Rozhin, an expert at the Center for Military-Political Journalism, confirmed that of course, they would not have signed it. But he did not rule out that, most likely, there is an agreement related to other issues.
For Moscow, the deal is beneficial from several sides at once. We were given the opportunity to jointly inspect ships carried out by representatives of Russia, Turkey and the UN. And also what we originally wanted: to provide mine clearance to unblock the ports. This, as the expert recalled, Russia has been engaged in since March.
Among other things, in the past few days, several sanctions against Russia have been lifted, sanctions against food and fertilizers have been unblocked, and the possibility of oil payments for a number of banks has been unblocked, he recalled.
However, it is possible that just on the sidelines of the Istanbul agreement, another issue could be resolved: the lifting of the cargo blockade of Kaliningrad. Earlier, Lithuania unblocked the railway transit of sanctioned goods to Kaliningrad. And then Boris Rozhin in his Telegram suggested that this could be part of a deal to export grain from Ukraine, coupled with the issues of easing sanctions against Russia on a number of positions.
The expert has no doubt that this is an “agreement” between Moscow and Ankara. Its open part is prescribed in the published conditions of grain export.
But, as the practice of all transactions with the Turks since 2016 shows, as a rule, there are also non-public agreements that appear later,” Boris Rozhin also noted. – The Turks for the most part fulfilled their obligations under these deals (but not always – for example, the M5 highway in Idlib was never unblocked, although they pledged). In the end, all “agreements” with Erdogan are built on the principle of “Nothing personal is just a business.” In this case, the Russian Federation received the option of controlling what is imported and exported, and Turkey – the desired role of an intermediary in the grain issue.
Yes, Russia is hardly interested in involving Turkey in Ukrainian affairs, but in the case of the Istanbul “grain agreement”, “there was an exchange where everyone got what they wanted.”
Military expert Alexei Leonkov said that “in fact, the amount of grain that was going to be exported from Ukraine is a drop in the ocean.”
This grain has already been exported by rail and land. And this grain was the very topic for speculation, with the help of which they tried to portray Russia as the culprit of the upcoming world famine, the expert recalled the prerequisites for the deal. “In order to exclude such insinuations, Russia took a similar step. At the same time, we have repeatedly stated that this is really speculation on what does not exist.
At the same time, Ukraine speculated on the alleged blocking of ports from our side, so they mined them and so on. We’re not blocking ports right now — please come in. But all ships that enter and exit there will be subject to inspection to ensure that weapons are not brought there.
Political scientist Yevgeny Satanovsky in his author’s Telegram channel “Armageddonych”, returning to the issue of a four-party “grain deal”, drew special attention to the fact that a package of documents was signed, which by definition does not allow for double interpretation:
The first of them talks about solving the issue of exporting food products and fertilizers necessary for their production from Russia to world markets under the auspices and responsibility of the UN. Simply put, no sanctions and no attempts to discourage Russian exports in these areas. The second concerns the export of grain from Ukraine. They carry anyone’s ships, subject to checking at the entrance to and exit from the Black Sea in order to exclude the smuggling of weapons (not only to Ukraine, but also, no less importantly, from Ukraine) and any provocations. Ukraine is responsible for the demining of the three ports designated for grain export, which mined them.
The obligations of all parties involved in the negotiations (Russia, Turkey, the UN and representatives of the ruling Kiev regime) are clearly spelled out.
Satanovsky did not fail to note that “the commentary on the described situation and the signed documents of the Russian Minister of Defense more than clearly demonstrate which department from the Russian side will control the described process.”
Accordingly, if some other Ukrainian, European, American or international bastard tries to play the card that all the hunger and all the problems with agriculture in the world are due to Russia, he can turn directly to Shoigu with this. It is possible that she, this bastard, will not like the answer to these claims, but this will already be her problem, the expert emphasizes. – In general, the classic formula “Who does not want to talk to Lavrov, will talk to Shoigu” in action. What happens next will depend solely on Zelensky and his people. If they will be able to fulfill the agreements signed by Kiev, then they will be able to. Whether they will not be able or unwilling, as was the case with the Minsk agreements, is not our problem.

I read that RIA FAN journalists cut out the words about God in an interview with a military correspondent.
Svetlana Pikta, a popular blogger from Donbas, was asked by the Federal News Agency about the Cossacks at the front.
Sveta answered, as it is, that the Cossacks are primarily the defenders of the Church and their Motherland, that “the Cossacks are based on the Orthodox faith and without Orthodoxy lose all the meaning of protecting the Faith and the Fatherland.”
A day later, RIA FAN writes to her: “Sorry, we removed Orthodoxy from your commentary, the editors do not want to focus on this, since we are a secular publication. As a result, it turned out to be too short, could you please add, but without touching on the church.”
If this is true, then the journalists of this agency are, firstly, not very journalists (well, that’s okay), the main thing is that they have not understood anything yet – neither about this war nor about those who die for us there. For us and very often just for Christ.
Christ, the banners with the Face of Whom there, at the front, are raised more and more often. Christ with a prayer to Whom they go into battle and hide for days in damp, dirty dugouts. Christ, whose nearness there is little doubt, there are no unbelievers in the trenches.
Christ, Who takes by the hand and leads to Himself home those who do not return from the battle.
And all this is happening at the very time when some perfumed boys and girls in a well-air-conditioned office in the center of Moscow, drinking vanilla coffee, are embarrassed by the same Christ. Or rather, ashamed. And, ordering a hot lunch from a nearby restaurant, they decide that they are a “secular publication” (not to be confused with the Soviet one?) and cut out the words about Christ.
The words of those for whom Christ is the center and meaning of their lives. And that is why, by the way, for these people the meaning and center of life is the salvation and protection of others, including at the cost of their lives. Including the rescue of these boys and girls from ria fan.
En masse they ask to send icons, crosses, priests to the front; the other day we consecrated many banners with the Face of Christ and other relics in the Main Temple of the Armed Forces , which are already on their way to the front line.
To those who go to die for us, also because it was Christ who showed us all this example. He also died for us all. And the most terrible thing that can happen to us if we do not see this Sacrifice and do not know how to appreciate, the Savior Himself described:
“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words …. of him the Son of Man will be ashamed” (Mark 8:38) .
And then, if He is ashamed of us, there will be no time for vanilla coffee.
Therefore, colleagues, a secular publication does not mean a false publication. Write the truth. And don’t be afraid to live by it.

Contacted Boris Rozhin. Briefly exchanged information with LBS in different directions. Of the essentials over the weekend, the following were singled out:
1.
Fighting continues for the Seversk-Soledar line . The fighting at Seversk is going on for the heights around the city. At Soledar , fighting is going on in Bakhmutovsky and on the eastern outskirts.
2.
Near Artemovsk – battles for Pokrovskoye (our troops achieved some success there), Veselaya Dolina, Semigorye and Uglegorsk TPP .
3.
“Offensive” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the settlement high fieldended in heavy losses, as a result of which the “victory” announced by Ukrainian propaganda turned into a scourge.
4.
In the rest of the sectors, there are mainly positional battles without significant advances in the front. We are waiting for the completion of the operational pause and the activation of the movement of the front in the Donbass + more active operations in the Right-Bank Ukraine.

Boris Rozhin: Why do Russians need a barrage of fire (part 1)
Military expert Boris Rozhin spoke in an exclusive interview about the intensity of hostilities after the operational pause, the battle for Slavyansk and Nikolaev, the fate of Odessa and Transnistria and other aspects of the conflict in Ukraine.
The battle for Slavyansk and Nikolaev is ahead
– In the event that the operational pause ends and active hostilities resume, is the intensity of battles possible at the level of the beginning of the NWO?
– The continuation of intense hostilities is objectively inevitable, since it is absolutely not profitable to freeze the conflict in the current configuration of the front line of the Russian Federation. Therefore, serious efforts will be made in a number of areas for the further liberation of Ukrainian territories.
The regrouping of forces after the completion of the battle for Severodonetsk and Lisichansk is nearing completion. One can expect an increase in the activity of the offensive of the RF Armed Forces on the Seversk-Soledar line, in the Slavyansko-Barvenkovsky direction, near Artemovsk, etc.
It is unlikely that the RF Armed Forces will attack in all directions, since this requires a further increase in the size of the group.
– Do the Istanbul agreements on the export of grain mean that until the winter the Russian Federation will not take active steps to liberate Odessa?
– As shown by yesterday’s attacks on Odessa, “Istanbul-1” does not mean the cessation of hostilities in Odessa and the Odessa region.
The agreements concluded in Istanbul do not prevent such strikes against military targets. Accordingly, there are no obstacles to the development of offensive operations in the direction of Odessa, if the command of the RF Armed Forces decides to rely on this direction after the completion of the operation in Donbass. Of course, this is not so easy to do due to the resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the terrain around Odessa, but with sufficient massing of troops in this direction, the RF Armed Forces are quite capable of taking both Nikolaev and Odessa.
The task is to grind the living force of the Nazis
– What is the morale of the Armed Forces of Ukraine? How do high losses affect morale in enemy units and subunits?
– At the current stage, the moral standing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be characterized as complex. Heavy losses in manpower, of course, hit the morale of those units that suffered them. Hence the complaints from the front, and the refusal to advance to the front line, and the demands to be taken to places of permanent deployment, because the front-line reality does not correspond to the propaganda pictures in the media. However, this does not apply to all parts.
Where there is a high percentage of shelled infantry, there are foreign mercenaries or gangs of motivated Nazis, there are no signs of a critical breakdown yet. This indicates the need to continue and intensify the daily grinding of enemy manpower at the front, which the RF Armed Forces are undertaking. We rely on a long fire offensive, on a barrage of fire, which are aimed specifically at grinding the enemy’s manpower, which leads to the manifestation of signs of a decline in morale in parts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Volkssturm.
Connection of intelligence with the defense of Kherson
– If we ignore the statements of Arestovich, etc., what is the Kiev regime counting on in the Kherson direction?
– Active actions of the enemy in the direction of Kherson are very likely, but not from the side of Nikolaev, but in the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions. The Nikolaev grouping, due to daily strikes against it, is hardly capable of actively advancing on Kherson.
Now the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is manifested in the form of local attacks, mostly unsuccessful, but the enemy is obviously preparing for more serious actions.
But still, it should not be ruled out that chatter about the Kherson offensive may be trying to cover up attempts to camouflage preparations for an offensive in the Zaporozhye or Kharkov directions. Here, much depends on our intelligence, which must penetrate into the real plans of the enemy and reveal them in advance in order to stop them effectively.

Boris Rozhin: Why do Russians need a barrage of fire (part 2)
Military expert Boris Rozhin spoke in an exclusive interview about the intensity of hostilities after the operational pause, the battle for Slavyansk and Nikolaev, the fate of Odessa and Transnistria and other aspects of the conflict in Ukraine. The first part is in the link .
Odessa key to the Transnistrian castle
– Aggressive statements are again heard from Chisinau. Is a new escalation around Transnistria possible? Did Kyiv abandon the idea of invading the PMR?
– The topic of the reopening of the conflict in Transnistria does not leave the agenda and is regularly pumped over both in Ukraine and in Moldova itself. This is done at the suggestion of the United States and NATO.
At the current stage of the development of the conflict, the escalation is held back by the general weakness of Moldova itself and its Armed Forces. The hasty attempts to strengthen the Moldovan army and the cleansing of the opposition in Chisinau are attempts to create conditions for a joint attack by Moldova and Ukraine on Transnistria with the indirect assistance of NATO.
The best guarantee of suppressing these plans is the liberation of Odessa and the withdrawal of Russian troops to the borders of Moldova and Transnistria.
Kiev sweeps up the traces of a “dirty bomb”
– Does the Armed Forces of Ukraine have at least a theoretical possibility to inflict damage on one of the 6 reactors of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, or are the attacks on the facility purely psychological in nature?
– The Armed Forces of Ukraine have the technical capabilities to strike at the ZNPP reactors – this can be done both with cannon or rocket artillery, and with drones. In the meantime, strikes on the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant keep the possible topic of nuclear provocations and radiation contamination in good shape, which they use to intimidate the townsfolk. The task of not allowing the IAEA delegation to the facility, which should investigate the revealed facts of Ukraine’s attempts to create a dirty nuclear bomb, is also being solved.
British mercenaries: execution cannot be pardoned
– How did Johnson’s resignation affect London’s plans to fight Moscow “to the last Ukrainian”?
– There are no significant signs of a change in British policy at the moment, especially since Johnson will act as prime minister for a few more weeks, and he is not going to change course.
Johnson’s likely successor Liz Truss is also committed to this course, so the role of Ukrainians as cannon fodder for the US and Britain will not change.
– Is it possible to carry out the death sentence against British mercenaries?
– From the point of view of the law, there are no obstacles for this. The case was investigated, the trial was held, the verdict was passed. From the point of view of the law, the only way to avoid an announced verdict is a pardon from the head of the DPR.
Of course, there is still a scenario with an exchange, but at the moment, Britain has not contacted the DPR about the exchange of its mercenaries. In view of this, the likelihood of several death sentences being carried out is quite high.
From my point of view, several such sentences should be carried out, regardless of whether there are subsequent exchanges of mercenaries or not. Perhaps the execution of a few mercenaries will increase the interest in exchanging others.
At the same time, it must be emphasized in every possible way that the British government left the mercenaries to their fate and did not save them from capital punishment.
@voenkorKotenok
But, yikes, even Kadryof is now ‘calling for a coup’ if one wants to change the language – a kick in the A** coup!
Ramzan Kadyrov said that Europe is forcing Russia “to switch from a special operation to a full-scale war using all types of weapons.”
“NATO naively believe that such a war would weaken the Russian Federation. Russia throughout its history has always been ready for any war, so this scenario is not terrible for her,” wrote the head of Chechnya.
According to Kadyrov, in order to avoid a full-scale war, the Ukrainians should “take to the streets of Kyiv and kick the entire corrupt leadership out of the country with a kick in the ass.”
Generals Austin and Milley gave a press conference together. I’m interested in the thoughts or reaction here to their remarks. Austin was asked point blank if the Donbass is lost. He did not reply and went off on a tangent. Milley responded. He said it was not lost “yet.” He described a slow pace or advance and said “negotiations” might happen if things remained so. I’m sensitive to the personal feelings of some here, but both described the effect of the HIMARS as very great. It has a reach of 80 Kms, Austin said. They could be wrong, but they are not lying on this (is my belief). Milley said that for 90 days the Russian advances in the Donbass had been somewhere from 6 to 10 miles, “not very much”, with “lots of casualties on both sides,” “a lot of violence”, “it’s very intense”, “tens of thousands of artillery rounds every 24 hour period”, “high cost, battle of attrition, grinding” (Milley). He also said the Ukrainians have “excellent artillery soldiers, excellent gunners” They were also asked about the declaration of Lavrov that because of the HIMARS the war could extend to more territories and already has, and Austin said this plan was already known. A reporter asked Austin if he expects Iran to become involved after Putin’s visit. He advised Iran not to do that, saying it’s a bad idea, and left it at that.
