I hear quite a bit about Sheeple, Zombies, and how Russia needs to turn into the US and Israel and start its own R2P invasion of Ukraine. Even Saker got into the theatrics when he morphed into chicken little a while back and started questioning why Russia and Putin was not invading once the massacres and bombardments in Ukraine started happening.

Emotions get the best of us at times and its a lucky thing that Putin isn’t any of us because most people here were lobbying for violence at one time or another.

I personally thought He should have used Yanukovych as his excuse to take over the Ukraine right off the bat. I thought it was dumb that Counterpunch and Saker thought it was a trap to lure Russia into becoming a pariah.

Its easy for internet warriors to demand Putin openly and directly challenge and defeat the US and the rest of the imperial lackeys. Its like Putin and Russia have been identified as the only people capable or willing to offer any type of resistance. Its like nuclear weapons don’t exist and that Russians lives don’t matter since they will get their 40 virgins.

Like many people i live in the US but unlike some i’m not past military draft age and due to living quite close to Luke Air Force base I’m quite aware that nukes will be lobbed my way in the event of war with Russia.

Personally i like being alive and don’t begrudge anyone else sharing this planet with me. The US quite frankly due to its geography is ridiculously insulated from bad decisions. As long as we don’t have a nuclear exchange the US will pretty much always come out on top in most conventional conflicts. Russia and China are both aware of this and neither is going to risk provoking a reckless nuclear armed state like the US when its clear that sooner or later we will have to retrench. Time is on Russia’s side and its clear that the US basically can be reckless and stupid without there being major repercussions.

Geography basically constrains all those countries that make up Africa and Eurasia but the US due to only having two friendly and weak neighbors can engage in all kind of obscene foreign interventions. We have no foreign brakes on our aggressive behavior (nukes are the only thing that prevents direct attacks on China/Russia) and the only thing that the US government fears is a domestic revolt by a heavily armed population.
