Asked whether the U.S should do more to counter Russian aggression in Ukraine, just 17 percent answered in the affirmative. Thirty-one percent said the current policy is correct and 34 percent said the U.S. should be less involved. The poll was completed before the downing last week of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, the civilian airliner that was apparently attacked over eastern Ukraine.
Well, I have to agree with the author that the “fact” that there was not one Ukrainian or Russian on MK-17 shows that Russia, at least, is responsible for this mass murder of civilians. I mean, that’s proof right there, for goodness sake. What more do we need?
The US Navy demands its hegemonic control of the Straits of Malacca so it can strangle China’s oceanic transport (commodities in, products out).
The Chinese want to build a canal through Thailand to end the Straits as a choke-point. So the government there is overthrown by chaos and the military.
Malaysia has very entwined Free Trade Zone relationships with China.
Everywhere China invests, the U.S. creates chaos. Libya, Greece, South Sudan, Ukraine, Thailand, Iraq, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, Mongolia are just a few.
I follow China very closely for the last dozen years and this pattern is predictable. The U.S. turns peace into war, investment into loses, stability into chaos. Most of these are maritime or petroleum points in the Chinese trade system. They have lost hundreds of billions in recent years because of these situations.
The Chinese need Russia, Russia needs China. And they need to gather more big nations. BRICS and SCO are just the beginning of what they need.
The U.S. is going to toss Turkey some heavy trouble soon. Probably, will use the Kurds and ISIS. Turkey is talking to Russia. It is inevitable that Turkey will get a storm the government cannot handle.
The U.S. is working over South Korea for its very close relationship with China. Forcing a missile defense system which is a threat to both China and Russia. Notice, last week the DPRK offered the idea of a Federal re-uniting of North and South. What was the response? I’ve heard nothing. Didn’t the world want this? Isn’t that what the last 60 years has been all about? Well, the U.S. does not want a resolution. It wants trouble, so its power is necessary in the East China Sea region.
Malaysia is an easy patsie for U.S. power. It isn’t radical muslim, isn’t aggressive by nature, a place you can build filthy rare earth processing plants and they won’t say anything about the pollution.
I imagine the Chief of Station of the CIA can tell the Prime Minister and head of Malaysia Air that we are going to disappear a plane or two, kill some 600 people and string the world along with lies, and the leadership will say nothing. Patsies. Overwhelmed. They’d give the COS their wives and daughters, or sons for a night or two, if that was the “request”.
Saker, The source is PressTV, Gordon Duff. I think this needs to be taken seriously…
Mystery Bombing Running over East Ukraine.
Fighter bombers attacking civilian targets in Eastern Ukraine, flying with Ukrainian Air Force markings, have been traced to air bases in Romania, Moldova and Azerbaijan, armed and some perhaps piloted by Poles and even Israelis.
“DM – there is no proof that Putin had anything to do with this – you are responsible for inciting public opinion.”
It was clear that the tide of hatred which occured when the MH17 tragedy was declared washed out the rational voices. Now that emotions have settled down, there is more objectivity.
If I’ve learnt anything from reading your blog, it is that rationality should always trump emotion in matters of politics. I thank you for that lesson!
Courtesy of Anatoly Karlin, I’ve come across an interesting map of Euromaidan vs Antimaidan Vkontakte membership by Ukrainian regions.
Odessa, Nikolaev and Kharkov are almost split 50-50, with the former two edging towards Euro while Kharkov is Anti. However, one has to take into consideration the number of fake accounts, the fear of putting your allegiance up on social networks (it is clear that abductions are now a common occurence in Kharkov and Odessa) as well as demographic profile – I’d imagine the elderly (who would be more Antimaidan) won’t neccessarily have VK accounts.
Nevertheless, I believe the vast majority of eastern and southern Ukraine are almost indifferent to the civil war. They’re just waiting to see who comes out the winner, lest they want to avoid the fate of those dying in Donetsk and Lugansk.
Seps did shot this plane – a terrible mistake which of course they never planned. This Guy from the Picture claims to be PM – so he is responsible for the death (by mistake) of 298 People. buk was supplied from russia. These are facts – try to fight them. You claim donbass is ethnic russian territory – according to data 38% declare to be russians, 55% ukrainians. What wilk happen to to these 55% in case seps win? What novorossia offer them? Donbass should be offered by kiev kind of autonomous status, including russian language rights. The only way to provide rights to both ukrainians and russians rights after this conflict
It has now become clear to me how the black boxes from a Malaysian airliner downed in eastern Ukraine found its way into British hands. The Empire of Chaos has vast reach indeed.
The author’s ancestors probably helped out the japs during ww2. And when that war ended they helped the British colonialists round chinese into concentration camps. Malaysia has always been the anglozionist bitch. Ready to murder chinese for their glorious queen of england or to jump up and down for the american empire.
Too bad for them that the sun is setting on their sicko masters.
Asked whether the U.S should do more to counter Russian aggression in Ukraine, just 17 percent answered in the affirmative. Thirty-one percent said the current policy is correct and 34 percent said the U.S. should be less involved.
That formulation already renders the entire survey worthless. It’s a loaded question a la “have you stopped beating your wife”:
1. There is no Russian aggression in Ukraine (fact free assertion) 2. The term “Russian aggression” is a suggestive formulation (negative connotation)
One of the earliest lessons in statistics you learn at university is to formulate what you want to know neutrally and without presupposing the conclusion (begging the question). This is basic stuff, yet Politico fails royally at it.
Result: Completely worthless poll.
Maybe they should leave those things to professionals like “Pew Research” or other outfits who at least know what they are doing.
You speak with great assurance. Let me do so also: unless you’ve seen the actual data, you don’t know a single thing for sure. So come clean or cut it out. Your opinion isn’t worth any more than anyone else’s. Don’t state it as an absolute truth.
So we not only are at war, we have been for so long now that when it actually began doesn’t even matter. I’ll give Malaysia credit for this, though: they did call our last batch of criminals to account. I just figured Flight 370 was payback for that, plus showing off a few new toys.
More to the point: how the hell do you fight the Anglo-Zionist Empire — and win?
We’re apparently spreading our talons to Norway now, with warnings that ISIS (i.e., is US!) is en route though we’re not able to catch them before they get there (??), and the timing between that and NATO’s brand-new figurehead being Norwegian is, one supposes, just another coincidence…
I really had a laughing fit when I read R. Nadeswaran job description as an “editor” for “special and investigative reporting”. What investigation? Copying and pasting Euromaidan spew and corroborating it with the latest White House bulletin is not exactly investigative reporting, is it?
No facts required: the US-Empire says so, its new Ukrainian colony says so, therefore it has got to be true. And an “editor” for “special and investigative reporting” can’t possibly be wrong, or else he would not have the job, right? :-D
The more I ponder MH17 and the whole Ukrainian imbroglio, the more obvious (to me) it becomes that deeply-laid plans and minutely detailed gaming of every conceivable scenario are behind all that has happened since the prematurely sprung February coup in Kiev. That emphatically includes the MH17 shoot-down, together with the fact that is was another Malaysian plane being no accident. The foot-soldiers were the Ukie military; the planning and execution control were pure CIA.
No matter what my heart tells me, the fact is that the Russian elite are deeply divided in a number of ways, interven/don’t intervene being only the most obvious. Larchmonter445 is spot on in his 13:40 post. Thus the big problem, for Russia-China and the whole BRICS endeavour, is that Russian elite divisions are both an obvious and very serious weakness. The Anglo-US-NATO power brokers can see this clear-as-a-bell and, per the above, have thoroughly gamed it.
Their bet is that they can keep the European ZOG’s of Europe – especially Germany and France – on board even without an overt military intervention from Russia and the relentless continuing western MSM demonising propaganda is harnessed to just that purpose. If it appears to be failing, then another false-flag is no-doubt already primed and ready to go. If Russia does embark on overt military intervention, then perhaps it will be shelved. Either way the Anglo-US-NATO agenda will remain pretty much on track.
All things considered, this really does look increasingly like ‘the big one’ to me. The Empire is not going to back down short of open war – and considering its profiability and system reset potential etc etc, probably not then either. The deeply worrying question for me is: Will Russia’s internal divisions prevent it from dealing optimally with those increasingly obvious facts.
Another news paper from malaysia is not so rude for Russia, and the malaysian prime minister will not put the blame on anybody until facts are known. http://www.thesundaily.my/news/1117968 Papers will tell what they think will bring the biggest audience but also what the paper’s owner and it’s sponsors would like to see. Gee, you know more than the Americans who already admitted they could not say who did it! The Russians must have lied during the presentation of their data, all stuff made up! And the damage to the plane’s nose must have been photoshopped or lifted from another accident. Even the fascist junta, who “leaked” to the press that the plane was taken down by accident during an exercise must have lied.
Luckily, the case has finally been solved and everyone can go home, because Anonymous has all the facts: It was a huge conspiracy to cover up the “Seps” did it with a Russian BUK and you have to believe him, because it is true by the power of his magic wand.
You claim donbass is ethnic russian territory – according to data 38% declare to be russians, 55% ukrainians.
Based on what data? The one your Ouija-board revealed to you during your last seance?
As far as I can see the article in the Sun is dated 21st of July. Now I understand even better another article from a Malaysian author dated 23rd of July: „MH 17 – Malaysian Mass Media Which Parroted Uncritically Zionist Controlled Global Mass Media Propaganda Against Russia Must Now Prostrate In Shame And Apologise To President Putin And The Ukrainian Resistance – By Matthias Chang (23/7/14)“ http://futurefastforward.com/component/content/article/9820.html Quotation: “In my article dated 21st July and posted to the website, I lambasted the Malaysian mass media for being mere mouth-piece of the Zionist Anglo-American propaganda machine, specifically FOR REPEATING the baseless accusations that the heroic Ukrainian Resistance forces were tampering the 2 black-boxes … They must now issue a public apology to President Putin, the Ukrainian Resistance for the most insidious defamatory statements ever levied on a Head of State without any shred of evidence and the malicious attacks on the integrity of the resistance. If there is no such apology, let me state it here and now – Malaysian mass media are shameless and their editorial boards are gutless and without any professional ethics. Shame, shame and shame!”
And let’s not forget the political part: “By the way, Malaysia is quite well-known for its hypersensitivity to anything that smacks of terrorism. The Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism – SEARCCT is operational there since 2003. If the Malaysian officials are coming into a public contact with those who are already labeled as «terrorists», it means that they, in fact, do not share this assessment. … Before July 22 came to an end, Reuter’s issued a story by Trinna Leong and Siva Govindasamy, two well-known Malaysian investigative reporters, on the background of the contacts between Malaysia and the DPR. According to them, all preparations for that were conducted in high secrecy and under personal supervision of Najib Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia. While some of his advisers were suggesting an early and emotional statement on the tragedy, not unlike those coming from Washington, London and Canberra, Najib was developing an alternative course. Working through unnamed intermediaries to reach Alexander Boroday, he had at least one telephone contact with him. Malaysia was basically focused on bringing back the bodies, obtaining the black boxes and assuring that investigators have access to the crash site. … With two MAS airliners lost over just a few months, passions in Malaysia and the world are running high. Taking this into account, Prime Minister Najib deserves special merit for his restraint and wisdom. But this is more than strictly personal: his posture is a reminder of the foreign policy vector developed by his great predecessor, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.“ Victor Sumsky: Thank You, Malaysia! (25.07.2014) http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2014/07/25/thank-you-malaysia.html Me seems there is something like an ideological war going on in Malaysia too.
More on this ideological war in Malaysia, involving R. Nadeswaran, the author of the article in the Sun (comment: “I always see the Sun as a free paper and low quality”): http://barkingmagpie.blogspot.de/2008/04/on-my-good-friend-nadeswaran-on-chandra.html You can read a lot about this here: http://barkingmagpie.blogspot.de/ Mind you, I am not taking sides in Malaysian internal matters, and this blog is obviously on entrenched on one side, but still it is informative about the different sides.
“But back to the main question: what can be done?”
I am not sure what can be done in America as I think the American people in general have been so brainwashed from birth that its too late to get through to enough of them to make any difference, but in Europe EVERYBODY who has family members or friends currently serving in the armed forces MUST do their utmost to make these family members/relatives/friends etc. see the truth of what is really going on here and REFUSE to serve and resign. Since the scum in Washington will not be sending their nearest and dearest to go fight and die for corporate profit they need the general public for that. If we all stand together against these evil scum and they don’t have our consent there is nothing they can do short of dropping all pretence of being “democratic” countries and turning their security apparatus loose on their own citizens in which case they will then end up with a civil war on their own doorstep and see how well they like it when it comes home to roost. This much was made apparent when the murderous intent of the empire to carry out a “very limited” strike against president Assads Syria was thwarted by the deluge of British public opinion against it which led to parliament voting against any involvement in Syria.
I use to live in Malaysia, a multiracial and culture society. Malays being a dominant race above other races, includes the Indigenous. Dr. Mahathir, the longest serving Prime Minister since independent from Britain. During his term in office withstood George Soro attacked on its currency and survived without IMF loans. Malaysia is very much against Israel and what Israel does in Gaze.
If one observed closely at the videos, many of the so called “experts” from Malaysia in Donetsk (handing over the “black Boxes”) are Chinese (NOT China’s Chinese). The Chinese first came to Malay peninsular under Admiral Zheng He in the 1400s. Generations of Chinese settle in Malacca. Most Chinese in Malacca are “Baba” speaks no Chinese but Malay.
Wish JC can translate into Chinese, spread “The Vineyard of the Saker” across Asia, sorry, speak and understands six Chinese’s dialects, but read and write 25% traditional Mandarin.
Malaysia is under relentless US attack and subversion, because it is one of China’s allies in SE Asia. This piece of scum would, probably, be on a NED or Soros NGO pay-roll, somewhere. How the effing Malaysians allowed the black boxes to fall into the hands of UK thugs is most distressing. Perhaps they’ve been told that more MH 17s and MH 370s will follow if they don’t say ‘Uncle’.
I’ve seen stuff like this that makes me wonder if it’s a kinda trolling; a complicated read especially for non aircraft aficionados; but, I say, those bodies? It’s a bit like Shanksville. Any way I posted it to keep you all tabbed. All best and my compliments for the blog.
I have a lot of time for Euroskeptic blogger and writer Peter North, but sometimes he slides completely off the rails. Mideast affairs are a weak point, for example. On MH17, he sets the tone as follows: “After happily peddling the ever-more ludicrous Russian propaganda, which has ranged from the Ukrainians shooting down MH17 with their own launchers, to the absurd proposition of an Su-25 shooting down the airliner, this English-language Russian broadcaster [RT] has at last happened upon a story which is factually correct.” In other words, to paraphrase North, RT reporters are congenital liars (… no proof provided) and the mouthpiece of the ever-evil Putin. But they have somehow stumbled on the truth, he claims – i.e. they have discovered that the western press has knowingly published false reports.
North then claims that “All sides have either been falsifying the evidence, misrepresenting it, or generally muddying the waters. As has been observed, there is an information war going on. Yet, when it comes to pointing fingers, we see exactly the same sort of selectively (sic.) from the Western media as we are getting from the likes of RT. They are all at it.” While North describes in detail the misdeeds of the western press he claims that ALL sides have been playing the same game (but, again,… no proof provided). It would have been nice for him to provide more details on what “the likes of RT” have been up to in the way of mendacity!
North’s analysis is cutting, but he cannot bring himself to believe that, with the passengers and with Malaysia, the Russians and Novorussians have also been targeted by this act of terrorism. Nowhere is that suggestion made.
It is, I believe, because he’s British (and, as I understand it, a Zionist).

I wonder who owns the press in Malaysia?
The Pivot to Asia is centered on Malaysia.

Mahathir Mohamad.“

Me seems there is something like an ideological war going on in Malaysia too.
Are the papers in Malaysia all in English ?
More on this ideological war in Malaysia, involving R. Nadeswaran, the author of the article in the Sun (comment: “I always see the Sun as a free paper and low quality”):

You can read a lot about this here:

Mind you, I am not taking sides in Malaysian internal matters, and this blog is obviously on entrenched on one side, but still it is informative about the different sides.
Malaysia is a former British colony, with a secondary jungle and a jeep following his majesty, Yang di-Pertuan Agong…
Nora asked :

Let me suggest you turn the map upside down and look.
Perhaps you would have a different perspective of the Malacca and Sunda Straits.
As to some other points:
When propaganda and message are co-ordinated world-wide this is normally an indicator of increasing desperation.
When message is co-ordinated culture is sidelined generally resulting in blowback.
As a follower of China I expect you are aware of this.
It is also an emerging opportunity to defang the co-ordinators and the propagators, and to prepare an avalanche to bury them.

Anglos bitching about Malaysia not blaming Putin.
A lot of USA NGOs in Malaysia.
Malaysian govt no saint but its opposition leadership has strong links/ties to USA.
Saker,
Wish JC can translate into Chinese, spread “The Vineyard of the Saker” across Asia, sorry, speak and understands six Chinese’s dialects, but read and write 25% traditional Mandarin.

I add this link on mh17 which says it’s mh370 which was disappeared to a US base in Pacific and then deployed for this false flag;
http://mogul.ws/busted-mh-17-was-in-fact-the-lost-flight-mh-370/
I’ve seen stuff like this that makes me wonder if it’s a kinda trolling; a complicated read especially for non aircraft aficionados; but, I say, those bodies? It’s a bit like Shanksville. Any way I posted it to keep you all tabbed. All best and my compliments for the blog.
I have a lot of time for Euroskeptic blogger and writer Peter North, but sometimes he slides completely off the rails. Mideast affairs are a weak point, for example. On MH17, he sets the tone as follows: “After happily peddling the ever-more ludicrous Russian propaganda, which has ranged from the Ukrainians shooting down MH17 with their own launchers, to the absurd proposition of an Su-25 shooting down the airliner, this English-language Russian broadcaster [RT] has at last happened upon a story which is factually correct.”
In other words, to paraphrase North, RT reporters are congenital liars (… no proof provided) and the mouthpiece of the ever-evil Putin.

@Anonymous (26 July, 2014 14:38):
Seps did shot this plane – a terrible mistake which of course they never planned… These are facts – try to fight them.
It is still not known who shot down the plane and why. Just because John Kerry says something doesn’t make it a ‘fact’.
Donbass should be offered by kiev kind of autonomous status, including russian language rights.
Kiev has so far been completely unwilling to consider any sort of federalization.
