It seems that many still do not understand what Obama’s role is – you need read what col. James P Hanke (from Veterans Today, nobody has better credentials than him) said about “bifurcation” in the US power structure. Last piece from Gordon Duff in PressTV on how Obama was almost rendered powerless by the Bush/Cheney cabal through legal and other sabotage.
Read also Thierry Meyssan about Obamas “the pact” with Putin and “the purge” of WW3 for the US total dominance “deep state” circles. There is also his article about “How Russia has friends in the US” government still not translated into English curiously.
In short, it’s all smoke and mirrors, Obama is a Great Pretender. He pretended somebody else to win the first time (Hope/Change), then after 2 years he morphed into another person(No Hope /No Change, “traitor”), and has been behaving very differently starting his big “purge” just a few hours after being re-elected now giving the impression of “Confusion”, “Powerlessness”, “do not care”.
I expect that soon, within few weeks when it’s gonna be clear how big a flop for the neocons the Ukrainian project is we will see his new face – bold, decisive, aggressive, uncompromising, leading to electoral win in Novemeber, starting real change (at the time – complete Uturn in the EU, against the Atlantists).
Who’s behind him? Watch the movie “Valkyrie”. “They” want soft landing for the US during the coming dethronization, not WW3.

The coming economic collapse of Ukraine will aggravate and prolong the ever deepening divide between Ukraine and Russia. It most certainly not be a catalyst towards reconciliation or acknowledgement by Ukrainians that they were duped by the EU.
I make this statement for a number of reasons. There is a a well know psychological process called cognitive dissonance that simply stated means that once a person or a group of people has paid a high price for something, they cannot admit that they were in any way wrong in what they did. Con men rely on this, using our reluctance to face the fact that we have been used/abused in order to entice us ever deeper into their trap.
In the same way, the deeper the economic crisis, the more rage and anger will be fuelled, and the more it will be directed against Russia. Given the PR of Russia vs the West, who do you think will control the narrative?
Let us not forget that it was through the grinding economic crisis of the late 1920’s that Nazi ideology gained strength. Once in power, together with the corporate support of western industrial firms, they were able to gain the loyalty and support of the entire population in a few short years. Currently another Nazi-like ideology, with minimal popular support is in power. The coming crisis will only justify increasingly drastic action against the ‘enemy’ (need I point out who that will be?) guilty of inflicting such pain and suffering.
The idea that Europe will resist a re-birth of Nazi-like ideology is profoundly misplaced. France right now is leading the charge to get a military force on the ground to fight ISIS. Why are they in such a hurry? Could it be that some 5 million muslims concentrated in the south of France have them concerned? That over a thousand of them have volunteered to travel to Syria/Iraq and fight for ISIS would indicated a much larger pool of similar belief still at home. It would not take much to ignite the simmering racial/religious tension with Nazi-like results. The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, even England would face the same reaction should ISIS-like actions happen in their back yard. It is not like Syria did not warn them.

What is wrong in Obama (Deep State) and Putin to be in cahoots for their receptive countries.
Empire is on decline and it needs someone to bail it out. Look at both Russia and Iran, and see if they are not bailing out the Empire or not. It is in both Russia’s and Iran’s interests for the Empire and the Dollar not to collapse, as it would send shock waves through out the World, which wouldn’t not be good for the World at all.
For their parts, both Russia and Iran are being handily rewarded:
1. Russia: Crimea is a life line for Russia for Russia to remain Super Power. Nikita Khrushchev gave Crimea to Ukraine during USSR days. Then Russia had to lease Crimea from Ukraine, which is an uncertain condition. Now Crimea is back in Russia’s hands and the rest of Ukraine will be Federalized as per Putin’s wishes.
2. Iran: Had to pay a very, very heavy toll in terms of economy, health and population due to sanctions. Population wise Iran is a dying country. Iran will have no longer sanctions imposed on it. And, best of all the incitement of sectarianism of Sunni/Shia is now the past due to ISIS (IS). All have come (the World) on board to get rid of GODDESS ISIS.

Russia and China must realize the deadly seriousness of the trap that has been set for them in Ukraine.
The US has finally woken up to the massive blunder that they made at the end of the cold war. Believing thoroughly their own victory propaganda along with that nonsense by Francis Fukuyama about the end of history, they allowed, first, the rise of China and then the reemergence of Russia.
Well now the West is back, and they intend to finish the job. Once and for all. What the West is fighting for in Ukraine is the survival of its system of imperial domination of the world. Which is to say its fighting for the source of its wealth, its way of life, its very identity, as established over the last 500 years. In this struggle there will be no compromise. All such moves will be illusory. Russia may expect and ask for quarter, but no quarter will be given.
In the long term and strategically speaking, the real challenge to the West is not really Russia. It is China. But to defeat China, the West must first defeat Russia.
The West’s strategy for defeating China is to control its air supply. Its access to resources and markets around the world. Once this chokehold is established, then pressure and be applied or relaxed as needed to bring China to its knees or harness it as a work horse for the West.
However, the imperial hand will never sully encircle China’s neck so long as Russia is a powerful and independent state, capable of acting in its own best interests. The West may chase China out of Africa, Latin America, South Asia etc but a free Russia will always be capable of supplying China will all raw materials as well as access to markets.
Therefore, the road to defeating China goes right through Moscow. Like it as not the West must tread this path, and they know this. The West must defeat Russia if it is to survive as global master.
But they don’t have to defeat Russia militarily. I believe what they want is the “Yeltsinization” of Russia. They just need to break Russia’s will to resist, bring it under their remote control and they will be able to complete their grip on China.
The strategy is simple, embroil Russia in a series of permanent crises on its border. Both without and within that border. They don’t need to take control of Ukraine, they just need to threaten that, chronically and credibly.
After Ukraine the member of the Customs Union can expect their own maidans. They may as well start preparing now. The other ‘stans in central asia may also expect maidans.
Russia exhausted by an endless succession of crises within its sphere of influence will be brought to heel and turned against China.
The only hope that I see for Russia and China is the quality of their current leadership.
The political leadership of both China and Russia is of a very high calibre as compared to what is to be found in the US and other Western countries. I believe they can escape this trap. But it won’t be easy.
Putin, above all, must step up to the challenge of global leadership. The world is waiting for this, indeed crying silently for it.
This is no time to focus on domestic Russian concerns. Putin must challenge the West on its own domestic situation, corruption and soulless culture. Putin must seize the leadership of the West’s, dispossessed and disillusioned.
So, discussion of global warming is banned, but is discussion of peak oil still okay? After all, many of the same Russian analysts whose videos you are posting are talking about how the Ukraine situation is directly tied to the coming resource crisis.

Now on a separate topic , Putin has to be very careful to not back out of anything he started.. The Iran equation is delicate because they feel let down by Russia. Russia sold them out to the US when they were most vulnerable and they wont forget that. But I think as long as Putin dont burn his bridges, Iran will not outright ditch Russia and back the US, but Iran does need to act submissive to get out of that brutal sanctions thats killing thousands a month. It has reduced the Iranian middle class to the level of beggars. Putin did show his teeth since he switched the Iran/Russia gas deal from 25bil or so which was 500K barrels a day down to around 20,000 barrels a day.. This was payback because Iran was pivoting to US pressure to remove sanctions.
India also seems to be in the same position as Iran. Russia did send some high level diplomats to placate the leadership. But there is talk that Russia is becoming timid and this is from a small sale of military helicopters to pakistan, Remember, India has the same fighter jets as Russia with enhanced Israeli instruments but China gets a stripped down model and the Israeli’s wont sell those to China either, the paranoia is running that high and being fueled by I am sure the US. China is also very dangerous. Any wrong move by Putin would mean Russia would lose out the leadership position and China comes out as leader of the free world just due to the fact that they can then control the Bric and the bank and sco etc.. I am not saying anyone will turn on Russia. Only that Russian influence would wane. Any backing down and backtracking on the EU food ban would lose the south Americans. That will pretty much unravel any new block thats emerging. China has everything to gain from this. So Putin still has do all the same things, stand by and watch as his people get slaughtered and other problems cause by sanctions and loss of EU market share. Maybe even lose south stream in the process. It is a real tricky situation to balance 3 power centers since any one of them can reduce Russia to the back burner. So both Russia and Israel knows what China is capable off.. We might think Israel is a US stooge but more like the US is an Israeli stooge.. And Israel is not on anyones side except its own.
Its now all or nothing! The US would be putting everything into the fight now. Russia also cant go back. China will emerge as the center of a new order.

When people start to behave in a self destructive way I tend to look at things like mind control and mass psychosis, it always a sickness of some kind that causes it but to be on a mass scale it has to be deliberate and controlled. Someone else posted that the reality in Kiev is far from the norm with many just out of this world. Although we can describe many things as way of life for humans, there are natural barriers where humans will tend to run from danger rather than run towards it. Which is what military training is supposedly all about.
Now here we have the most direct proof of mass hysteria brought on by extreme trauma like loss of identity and trying to figure out where you fit in the scheme of things and why things dont look right to you. I dont mean the normal people but the ones who are out of touch and controlled. It dont take much to twist their sense of reality in any direction by key phrases… Like that crazy nato chief yelling invasion imminent almost every single day as a way to condition people to accept what he has planned. I might think he is crazy but for his plan to work everyday more and more people should start to repeat what he says and say it often enough and people start to believe it.

Generally, I concur with your macro view of the state of geopolitics.
I particularly applaud your remarks about Putin. His leadership in the spotlight is imperative. When he acted in Syria and arranged the chemical weapons deal, the world saw a brilliant man stop a deeper and wider war. It wasn’t an affront to the US as much as a great peace-making effort that worked.
Putin needs to create the news events that instruct the world.
I believe the rapid, successful destruction of the junta and a Russian-imposed solution that is welcomed by the majority of Ukrainians is the key.

What is your take on Russian-Iranian political/military/pipeline issues? I’m totally confuzzled. Didn’t Russia refuse Iran some military something-or-other? And make a deal with Israel re: what’s offshore of and possibly under Gaza? And now Iran has apparently agreed to bypass Russia pipeline-wise? So the best sense I can make of it is that Russia is now aligning more with Israel, which of course remains ascendant in its own particularly nasty way, while the US declines. Have I got that right?

I am very concerned with reports of incidents involving murdered in Kiev developer of Iraqi chemical weapons and the fact that his compatriot – a nuclear physicist – escaped home. The legend, in the veracity of which CIA tried to convince Iraqi biochemists, was that they are working on vaccines against viral diseases, but their question – of how exactly Saddam’s specialists in chemical weapons can help in this noble cause – nobody bothered to dispel.
In the first quarter of this year there was an unusual laboratory contamination. All three Iraqi biochemists along with two American experts (I think they were immunologists) and a number of professionals from other countries have died from Ebola hemorrhagic fever.
The unusual state of emergency was in the first place because the facility strictly complied with hygiene regulations, and all the dead scientists – highly skilled, well aware of uncomplicated techniques of protection – while Ebola, for all its highest contagiousness is only transmitted through direct contact with mucous membranes, blood and lymph. There were two cases of the laboratory contamination in the Russia: laboratory assistant died as a result of careless handling of syringes for injection experimental animals; there were no other victims.
Earlier North America, studied the possibility of non-contact infection, and Canadians have achieve non-contact transmission of the Ebola virus in animals. But it was not observed in humans up to these events,. However, working on this project bioengineering specialists, managed to get Zairian strain of Ebola virus, that is transmissible to people through non-contact.
What began with laboratory contamination, has grown into an epidemic, to encompass not only Guinea, where the facility is, but Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria. .Experts in tropical medicine flew to West Africa – but despite very careful precautions, almost all of them were infected and died.
Two of the five Iraqis that had worked at the facility and were engaged in other projects, not related to biology, had survived. But the panic grew. Iraqi nuclear physicist and expert on chemical weapons teamed up with four Americans from the CIA, and unanimously demanded the evacuation. But there was a definitive answer: unless it is established that they are not infected, entering the United States is out of question for them.
One of the agents, that served in his earlier career in Germany, recalled the enormous American military medical center at Landstuhl Air Base Ramstein, and other life-saving opportunities in this country. The Iran pipeline to Europe will not be “stabbing Russia in the back. North Stream has a current production of 50 and a maximum production of 60 billion cubic meters a day (bcmpd). Through Ukraine comes 35 bcmpd. From Norway, Algeria and a host of others come the rest – making a total of 150 bcmpd. But Norway and Algeria are dropping production as the gas runs out. Iran could produce up to 50 bcmpd without affecting Russian market share.
Just the opposite – then together the Iranians and the Russians would control close to 80% of the EU gas supply.
Think of what that would mean.

I agree that often too much discussion is about the details of the wars. That said, thats where people die. However, people may die in the wars, but *peoples* live or die in the strategies behind the wars.
Just from watching from the outside, I’d say the Soviet elites made a collossal blunder in dismembering the Soviet Union. They were deceived by the tinsel glitter of the West’s consumerism. And they wanted to have it. They looked at their own system and so it could not deliver the glitter and so they decided to trade it in for what the West had.
I also think a key problem with the Soviet system is that it was plain. As Ali Mazrui says, humans are homo aestheticus. We love beauty.

Given the increase of militia forces, the current configuration of the front lines provides opportunities not only for unimpeded advance in those places where the junta has no military (like this happened with the breakthrough of the reconnaissance and sabotage groups to the “Uspenka” checkpoint) but also for the attacks that cut the numerous protrusions and wedges, which, keeping in mind the low quality of the junta’s infantry, may lead to new defeats…

I think the West wants to harness both Russia and China. But China is the primary threat. The issue is not whether the economies of China and Russia grow. But to whose benefit do they grow?
If the West wins the current struggle. China will be free to increase its economic output, but the profits will flow Westward.

My guess is that Merkel has worked it out weeks ago. She is one of the few who can think things through when they realise who has been telling the biggest lies.

Good point about the Russia/Iran gas monopoly to Europe.
The much delayed and expensive Nabucco Project is several years down the (pipe)line and may involve Russian pipeline construction assistance. By the time it is operational the gas demands along with North Sea gas depletion will allow both Russia and Iran to benefit from the trade and bring Western Europe into a “peaceful partnership”.
The Nabucco pipeline Project also forestalls the African gas pipeline from Nigeria up through Mali and Libya. This pipeline project was part of the reason Israel, Canada, France, UK and the US (I-CAN-FUKUS) conquered Mali and Libya.
Syria also gains as the Nabucco pipeline undercuts the proposed Qatar-Syria pipeline that Qatar needs to transport gas to Europe. No pipeline, then no further Qatar arms support for the FSA and ISIS.
Iran can also exploit the shared gas field between Iran and Qatar now being tapped by Qatar, thus improving their economy.
Finally, Putin’s recent successful pow-wow with the presidents of Azerbajan and Armenia to prevent a territorial war between them by giving Azerbajan a Russian sanctioned gas pipeline and Armenia entry into the customs union.
Russia also gains some goodwill from Turkey as the pipeline will provide transit fees to Turkey and perhaps lower gas prices to Turkey (Iran currently charges Turkey $585/1000 CFM.
Ultimately, this Russian gambit will soften/eliminate Iran sanctions by the EU and improve integration while countering radical Islam supported by Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

We must also realize that Russia signed the “Holy Grail” gas deal with China. I don’t know off-hand Russia’s daily gas production ceiling. It may not be possible to supply both Europe and China simultaneously. So there is probably room for both Iranian and Russian gas in Europe as Russia will begin sending some of their gas East.
