Dear friends,
Ramzan Kadyrov recently gave a long interview on Russian TV to Nailia Asker-Zade which included an interesting and a beautifully politically incorrect segment about homosexuality. Thanks to Eugenia, I can now post this segment with English subtitles.
I am posting this not because I endorse or agree with what Kadyrov says, although I basically do, but to give you a sense of how dramatically different Russia is from the West. Think of it: we have a female Russian journalist (of Azeri extraction) feeling totally comfortable wearing a traditional (and beautiful!) Islamic dress with long skirt and headscarf, talking to a Muslim Chechen leader making statements which in the West would immediately earn him a lifelong and infinite hatred form all the doubleplusgoodthinking people. And that takes place at the peak hour (Sunday evening) on one of the major national Russian TV channels.
What I am trying to convey here is that while Russia west of the Urals is geographically located in Europe, in cultural, spiritual and civilizational terms Russia might as well be in the central South Pacific or on Mars (alas, she is not, and that border with Europe is the reason for 1000 years of West European aggressions against her). In the West a sentence like “there are no Chechen homosexuals” is self-evidently wrong and the result of ignorance, prejudice and bigotry. In Russia this sentence makes perfectly good sense even tough Russians themselves would never say “there are not Russian homosexuals“. Nailia Asker-Zade actually says that to Kadyrov who simply replies “yeah, there will always be people like that“. I am not going to solve the “cultural riddle” of this dialog (homosexuals in Russia, but not in Chechnia?!?!) for you, that is not the point of this post, but I just want to draw your attention to it. In fact, the entire exchange might as well have been recorded on another planet, at least from the point of view of the western doxa.
Anyway, watch the video, please feel free to comment, but remember moderation rules #2 and #6. If #6 seems too free speech stifling and otherwise offensive, please feel free to trash me to our heart’s content anywhere on the Internet. Just not in this comments section :-P
Seriously, and just to clarify. The topic is NOT, repeat, NOT homosexuality.
The topic is “Russia is a different planet, very very very far away from Planet Europe“.
One more thing. For those who understand Russian, check out the full interview (I will also post it below) and notice how totally different Nailia Asker-Zade is from her western counterparts (come to think of it, even if you do not understand Russian, I recommend you watch this interview as it includes a lot of truly superb footage of Chechnia and the Chechen people). Far from trying to act (and look!) like a man, Asker-Zade proudly pushes her femininity forward, even dancing with Kadyrov and the Chechen dancing ensemble. But least you think that she must be some subdued brainless bimbo (that would be the typical reaction nowadays), let me add that she is a brilliant journalist, specializing in economics: she began her career as a financial analyst for the paper “Kommersant”, then she moved up and became the economic and financial analyst for the national TV channel “Rossia” and the show “Vesti”. Her high intelligence and strong personality do not lessen her femininity, something which decades of brainless feminism have basically stomped out int the western media. In Russia femininity, intelligence and strong personality are not mutually exclusive, they go together! Yet another way that Russia is not Europe.
Now see it all for yourself:
“What I am trying to convey here is that while Russia west of the Urals is geographically located in Europe, in cultural, spiritual and civilizational terms Russia might as well be in the central South Pacific or on Mars”
-Not in any sense, Russia is just an average christian conservative European country, the way all European countries used to be Christian conservative before multiculturalism made the west into degenerate cesspool.
Sometimes it is also good to point out the obvious.
Ethnic Russians exists, they are white and they are European, they are Christian, not muslim. They are not mongols or mixed in any more sense then any other White European ethnic group is, if anything, Russia is currently the last bastion of the white race, as the western world quickly is replacing its own white native populations.(Ethnic English are a minority in London for example)
The ethnic white christian Russian population is also highly ethnically aware, and compared to west Europeans the average Russian is an ultra-nationalist, many top Russians such as the commanders in Donbass also have connection with Russian Nazi groups, such as Pavel Gubarev the founder of Novorossiya which was a member of RNU.
Mozgovoy units was famous for having many Russian Nazis and communist fighting side by side.
What are you talking about ??
– Russia has over 185 ethnic groups !!
– Russians have been mixing and influenced by Byzantines, Georgians, Armenians, Mongols, Tatars, the list is very very long, and includes mixing with Germans and Ukrainians, etc.
– The Russian language is an Indo-European Eastern Slavic language
– Its main religious institution: the Russian Orthodox Church…….as well as the primate thereof, officially ranks fifth in the Orthodox order of precedence, immediately below the four ancient Patriarchates of the Greek Orthodox Church, those of Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch, and Jerusalem
As an Arab Muslim who has family lineage dating/traceable back prior to the existence of Islam, I can tell you that the more I study the history of Russians and Russia, the more I find out that:
Russia and the Russian people are an incredibly great and rich civilization of cultures and religions…….while “Western White Europeans” were originally culturally poor barbaric tribes and Medieval / Feudal ruling families.
By calling Russian’s “White” and “Europeans” you are basically:
1. disrespecting the rich culture, history, autonomy and independent development of the Russian people.
2. trying to unjustly incorporate the Russian people and their rich culture into the Western European ideology, history, culture and peganistically converted / morphed version of Christianity.
Please do your home-work before you talk this color-coded nonsense.
Exactly! Thank you, Harry_Red.
“And that border with Europe is the reason for 1000 years of West European aggressions against her.”
I do find these attempts at being divisive amusing.
Russia doesn’t border with Europe, Russia is inside Europe. Russia is just a European country that expanded beyond Europe and into Asia during the high of the age of conquest, unlike her European sisters however that lost their colonies, Russia go to keep her colonies as they were largely underpopulated. Unlike say India for UK, which had 10x more people then all of UK.
All European countries have committed aggression against each other, and all countries have committed aggression against each other as well, Russia towards Turkey(Ottomans), Turkey towards Russia, Russia towards China, China towards Russia, Russia towards Japan, Japan towards Russia, all this talk of historical aggression is just comical, sounds very similar to Polish, Baltic and Ukrainian nationalist talk when they rant about the 1000 year aggression and attack by the Mongolian Russian empire against the civilized christian west(They include themselves in the west). In desperate attempts to create division and conflict.
I agree. You could make a similar victim-hood narrative for almost any country in Europe. All the major powers have constantly been fighting wars against each other throughout history. The same points could be made about Germany, or France, or Italy, Spain, Poland etc. I consider myself pro-Russian but I don’t agree that Russia is uniquely always under attack from “the West”. That’s basically just a Cold War mentality. The Mongols, Japanese, Tatars and Turks have all attacked Russia too and they aren’t “Western”. The “Western” countries themselves were constantly fighting against each other until WW2. It’s only since then that “the West” has become a monolithic entity since Western Europe has effectively been under American control. Also the views of the average Russian towards homosexuality are no different than the average “Westerner” 50 years ago. The only difference is the “sexual revolution” never happened in the Eastern Bloc countries. Homosexuality was illegal in every “Western” country until the 1960s. In my country, Ireland, it was illegal until 1993 (around the same time Russia de-criminalised it).
Thanks Saker, I really like that guy! BTW, had to go to the Daily Motion website for English subtitles. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6aq6x2
“The topic is “Russia is a different planet, very very very far away from Planet Europe“
-Actually, Russia is a country inside of Europe, Russia is populated by Russians which are the most numerous European ethnic group, while there are people on both in the pro-Russian and anti-Russian camps that tries to create as much artificial division between Europeans as possible for their own ideological reasons and their masters benefits..
The greatest thing for Russians and Germans and all Europeans would be an economic union between Russia and W.Europe, this is the greatest fear of USA as it would make Europe independent from USA, this is something both Russia and Germany strives for and Putin calls it a the project to create a “Greater Europe”.
Those divisive on the anti-Russian side tends to say that Russian are not white, not European and are in fact Mongolians and racially mixed, and therefore inferior. Those divisive on the pro-Russian side tend to say the same thing, except to them whites are inferior and mixed Mongolians Russians are racially superior.
Bot the divisive sides are incorrect of course, Russians are not more “racially mixed” then any other European people. Their culture, genes, religion all is within the European spectrum. The biggest difference today is not that Russia is different but that W.Europe is different, not only from Russia but from every single country one earth, W.Europe has become infected with the destructive ideology of globalism and as such is a victim to every form of decay that can be imagined.
While Russia has fairly recently liberated itself from the disease of globalism that ravished her during the 1990s and is returning to the path of old European traditionalism. This of course makes Russia hugely different.. But only a few decade or so different… The same is true for other eastern European countries like Poland and Hungary as well, these two are also follow old European traditionalism instead of globalism like the western countries, generally all countries in E.Europe are old school traditionalists, this is due to them being protect from globalism when they lived in the USSR.. And once the USSR fell, the revert back to their previous culture.. While the western countries slowly were worn down and corroded over decades under globalism.
So Russia is the the last large christian European country in Europe. And if the W.Europeans are fortunate, they will be able to follow her back to their European roots.
I think this is bad strategy on your part. 15-20 years ago, you could say there were no homosexuals in North America. Of course, there were, but very few people knew any. They were off somewhere, away, among each other – out of sight, out of mind. We were lucky.
Homosexuality, for the longest time, only came about as a result of child molestation. A boy of 12 would be abused by a man, and would find it hard, after being destroyed, to return to nature. In other cases, you would have men, too close to their mothers, mimicking their mothers into adulthood. Were they homosexuals? Not always. A masonic lodge or cult may be used to facilitate sexual deviance but In some cases, they weren’t even sexual. Just wimpy, ninny, sissy types. Not a big deal.
3 things have changed. You have massive amounts of hormone mimickers in the food, water and air (by way of laundry detergent, e.g.), which are actually chemically damaging boys and girls, rendering them incapable of development. Second, you have a massive propaganda campaign, financed by the oligarchy, disseminated through the education systems and media. Lastly, you have the ongoing breakdown of the family. People are open to joining the freakshow because their own families have let them down in ways too numerous to mention.
The homosexuality crisis in NA is artificial. It’s a product of the war budget. We should not think of ourselves as different than Russia, by nature. We should also question the reality of homosexual projections. Despite all propaganda and pseudo-scientific claims, how popular has this stuff really become? Nobody really wants to be a fruitcake, outside the mentally ill. And the mentally ill are used because they are susceptible. If it was popular to make people think they were lions and tigers, the mentally ill would be a useful resource in this cause precisely because they are illogical and overly impressionable. When they include nutcases in their stats, it doesn’t count. Furthermore, the stats are used to cover up crimes of child abusers. The story becomes “he is gay,” instead of “he was raped as a child.” We’re asked to “make room for homos,” instead of eliminating child abusers – which is what we should be doing.
All of the above applies to Europe, similarly. We have cultural differences, but none of us are inherently at war with God.
Well, for the Canadian part of North America, PM Trudeau is issuing an apology today because in the past, in this country, homosexuality was a criminal offence.
http://www.ctvnews.ca/mobile/politics/pm-trudeau-apologizes-for-lgbtq-discrimination-by-federal-agencies-1.3697887
“The discriminatory policies that often ruined careers and lives had their roots in federal efforts that began as early as the 1940s to delve into the personal lives of people who were considered security risks as a result of what was considered “character weakness.”
Perhaps part of the problem is the CIA and it’s use of homosexuality as a form of blackmail, etc.
Back in the “let’s rule the world from Washington” 1990s, then PM Jean Chretien had a physical altercation with a protestor, who I thought was a gay rights protestor, but actually was protesting cuts to unemployment insurance. So this incident doesn’t relate to this thread — but I’m still posting a link to it. Chretien had levels of support equal to Putin back then. The politics of protests, gay or otherwise….

When someone says trudeau, you should think tooth fairy or daffy duck. This guy makes Barry Sotero look legitimate. Americans might feel better about themselves only by looking north.
There are real oppressed people in Canada. The bureaucracy continues to engage in a soft war with Natives. If RT was serious, they could lay it on heavy with this subject. Children are not still taken to residential schools. Instead they are taken to hospitals, and given experimental drugs for their proposed mental problems. The presumption always being that natives are of inferior “genes” and need to be drugged, need to be childless, need tampering with. There truly is noting more racist than a full fledged liberal, and the old table scrap from the British Empire, canada, is a haven for liberals.
Generally, the middle class has disappeared in canada (warning: 10-15% make up an upper middle class which is drunk, on vacation, and not aware of reality). It barely existed outside of canada proper (southern ontario), and is gone now or close to it. There are some spots of wealth but a lot of it is money laundering to keep the “service industry” going (that’s right: big box stores aren’t businesses proper). People make enough for the internet and drugs/alcohol, if outside the bureaucracy. They make enough to not notice they’re going down the drain.
Culturally, forget about it. A no-neck fat girl with blue hair is given an apology because she says she’s homosexual (something easier for her to say than to have to see her reflection). Please – 20 years ago she’d have said she was possessed by Janis Joplin. The ravings of nuts don’t count!
This a place where reasonable conversation is not permitted in public. We’re supposed to have our genitals cut off and cheer nazis in Kiev, then wave the flag around and obey absurd, ever-changing policies at the workplace. I apologize to Russia and the rest of the free world that such putrid foolishness comes off this continent. There’s an idea: write a formal apology, on behalf of the state, every time the western states do something unforgivable.
travis thats a great post about the Canada that no one talks about, but which I certainly recognize when you describe it.
I also find it interesting how scared men in the US are about being labeled ‘gay’. You have a strange situation where everyone is insecure – straight men are worried about being labeled gay – while ‘gays’ are worried about being exposed for their Gender Identity Disorder (and the fact that they actually don’t care so much about sex with anyone at all).
You can always see this cultural clash at wedding especially if between Anglo Saxons and Latin Americans or Serbs -when it comes to greeting/kissing guests and family – Americans are always very confused and ill at ease
in other countries like Argentina, Serbia, Spain etc nobody would think you were gay if you were to kiss your friends (on cheek) – in Argentina everyone kisses everyone on cheeks as they meet and before they leave.
If you do that in they US or UK – many people would think you are probably gay.
In Serbia you can hug and kiss as many men as you want – and nobody in their right mind would think you were gay.
People there understand that our biology is much stronger than what advertisers/marketing/peer-pressure/high-school bullies want you to think about yourself. Also in the US once you are labeled ‘gay’ – it’s impossible to shake it off (it’s considered like becoming a Muslim) – in other countries nobody cares or remembers. People move on.
Americans are quite insecure because they grow up in a socially disconnected context. You achieve confidence by being yourself, testing your theories, failing , feeling free and able to experiment, interact etc. That’s why people in Serbia, Argentina etc are confident. Probably Russians too.
That book Democracy Incorporated (by Volin I think ) comes to mind – he writes how in our totalitarian USA media, politicians etc do their best to divide people in as many little groups as possible to make them feel as powerless as possible.
SO it’s in the interest of our crony corrupt mafia politicians to make us all fear each-other and worry about being labeled this and that.
I saw that Gambits fro Deception article on the Intercept – one of Snowden’s first leaks – I remember one of the items from the spread sheet of totalitarianism he published was to do with disconnecting cause from effect – and I think this fake gayness, panic about being labeled gay (when you are not gay) falls under that category/tool of confusing Anglosheeple even further into fear and submission.
Thank you, obey.
Please add to the list:
4. Child-hood institution called “school”.
What do you expect will happen to a child that gets dropped-off in day-care both before and after school? These poor souls go home to sleep but live in school from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Russia is not, never was and never will be ‘European’. While physically part of Russia may be in what is called europe, Russia socially and psychologically will never be ‘europe’. PC speech and actions are not the norm but on the other hand, by and large Russians are much more polite in public then ‘westerners’, IOW europe and usa.
I think it is this little foible, the fact that Russia is not ‘europe’ psychologically, that drives europe nuts and moves them to invade Russia every chance they get, that and the vast resources of this land they they covet now and always have.
Culture here is as different from ‘europe’ and ‘usa’ as night is to day. Yes, you can go to Moskau, Leningrad and other large cities and see vestiges of ‘western’ culture being mimicked and copied, but by and large this is not the norm. If you want an idea of how it is here, read what I write in my books, I write exactly as we speak and behave here and other places my lass and I have been to. For instance, in public and private, unless you are close friends with someone, everyone will use your Christian name and patronymic when addressing you and if you carry rank they will generally include that rank in the discourse. This is called ‘good manners’ and it is a dying, or should I say dead and gone, trait in the west that is very nice to live with here. For Heaven’s sake, when we pull up to the gate at Battery Museum and other facilities, the guard salutes us whether we are in uniform or not. If you are stopped by DPS, the road cops, when the officer walks up to your machine he will salute you if you are a man, a woman he will address very politely as ‘Madame’.
As for PC and the ‘rights’ of various minorities and religions other than Christianity, it is a fact that those rights are respected far more in Russia than elsewhere but on the other hand these minorities have no more rights than those in the majority. While it is also a fact that if two men or two women are amorous in public there might be a problem, on the other hand a man and a women being silly in public will generally get the same reaction. No one cares what you do behind your closed doors but keep it down in public and this includes not only amorous behavior but language and general behavior. Untoward behavior is frowned upon here albeit yes, I’ve seen it but not often and if the crushers were anywhere near the offending ones their somewhat naughty behavior was short lived.
Is it heaven here? Oh, heck no. If you want to understand Russia you must start with a study of Byzantium, reason being Russia is the heir to that empire lock, stock and barrel. Yes, that was centuries ago when half of Byzantium migrated east and north when Constantinople fell, but the vestiges of that empire are still here right down to the penchant for secrecy for the sake of secrecy and the creaking and convoluted bureaucracy. Trust me, if you want an education in obfuscation, by all means, go to the various offices and functionaries and try to get something done. While things in that regard are in general far better than a scant almost four years ago, there are still those leftovers who forget who they work for and the duties of their vocation.
Is life good here? I would have to say yes but I will qualify that with you better darned sight understand Mother Russia before you come here, either as a tourist or to live here. Once you understand Mother, you will understand that it don’t get much better than this.

These are exactly the beliefs & attitudes of the 1950’s and early 1950’s in the USA.
In Kevin barett’s Orlando False Flag book, he has many essays by Islamic scholars. They reject the rigid psychobabble idea so popular in the West that people have a rigid sexual orientation that defines them. Just as a cocaine fiend or an alcoholic can cease their addictions, a man addicted to sinning can change his ways. Kraft-Ebbing, Sacher-Masoc, and Freud gained much acceptance without a rigorous scientific investigation about whether their theories were true. The faux left believes these theories for political purposes. Woe to an academic psychologist whose experiments run against the prevailing feminist/ LGBT nonsense.I notice Dr. Fiore’s book about Depossession therapy has been totally ignored.
In America homosexuality is almost always confused with Gender Identity Disorder. I have met hundreds of self-proclaimed gays when I lived in LA (some of the world’s most famous producers among them),
Like with everything else Americans tend to misunderstand themselves and human nature in general (the country has entered a Dark Age of human interaction where even a memory of better times has disappeared).
Most gays I met in LA or London don’t even like having sex with anyone – men or women. I remember meeting a good looking young gay friend of a friend in London – he told me he hated sex and never has any. I was shocked (as a Serb) that he based his whole identity on ‘homosexuality’ while at the same time he hated sex and never had any. That was an indication to me that not all as as it seems. When I moved to LA – my theory was confirmed – most of the gays I know there (99% of them never had sex with their boyfriends – only occasionally with strangers they meet in dark bars and hope to never see again).
I did some research (I have a degree in psychology) and asked many of my gay friends there – about their first sexual experiences – most of them were molested early by priests, sisters boyfriends, uncles etc. Most of these gay friends are also Jewish – and I think they say they are motivated by fear or hatred of their mothers more than any attraction to the same sex.
To sum it up – it’s mostly the case that people who feel inadequate, loners, were bullied in high-school (as most Americans have been in my experience – another indication of a sick society)….these people try to construct an excuse for their inadequacy by pretending they are ‘gay’ and that’s why they are inadequate, loners etc. In reality the reverse is true – they are inadequate due to problems and experiences not related to being attracted to the same sex – AND they try to use this religion – like concept of gayness to justify their weirdness and often inability to love anyone.
I have never met a happy gay couple – maybe only one. Most of my gay friends don’t really fall in love with anyone – and even if they have boyfriends they go out and cruise strangers together.
I have actually written a book about it (and HBO HQ called me to tell me to not publish it – but I did anyway) – a few very senior HBO people are in that book – in a realistic context – I did not try to make anyone look in a bad light and it’s a true story. And it mostly exposes weirdness and fakeness of so called gay world of LA and Anglo-Saxon countries in general
My grand mother in Serbia had a GF (was married twice and had 4 kids and was a very respected woman). Her GF looked like Elvis, wore suits and used to kill Germans in WW2. Like religion, in Serbia who you sleep with is your own private thing – the opposite of how it is in the US/UK – where everything becomes like an evangelical cult/religion.
I am not trying to promote my book at all (and am happy to give it to anyone for free) – but it proves the same point as this article and is an authentic true story. And it was read and liked by an interesting bunch of some of world’s most famous people – most of them loved it (gay ones hated it and straight people or non- Anglo Saxons loved it) . Here is the link just in case anyone wants to read it (or just email me and I will send you a free copy)

Hey Tomo, im very interested in your book. I could not find your email, ill be glad to receive a free copy. My email is removed.Mod thanks

Wow, this is a bit silly. I won’t speak about Russia–but I will speak of reading anthropology texts that say that in Arab Islamic society homosexuality is quite common in early adolescence and childhood but once a person reaches maturity it is forbidden–at least in the 19th and early 20th century particularly in a text I read by Richard Francis Burton. This was also the case in the Renaissance in Europe and I’m sure it existed in all courts including Russia as well. At any rate there is science that indicates same sex attraction is real and not imagined and not created by human rights organizations. I don’t believe Russia or Chechnya is on another planet with some other variant of homo sapiens.
In my experience people in less manipulative/manipulated societies (through marketing, big brother brainwashing, fearmongering etc), where your religion (or sexuality) is your own private thing (not something you try to promote to others like a predatory cult) have much more sex (gay or straight), are happier with who they are and much more confident.
Gayness as a religion (I used to tell my LA friends that in Hollywood Gayness and Judaism are the most common religions there) – has also been embraced by all kinds of ideologies which have nothing to do with sexuality and are used to further confuse already confused ‘gays’ (often not even interested in any sex with anyone – but suffering from Gender Identity Disorders, Borderline personality disorders, control-freakery (trannies) etc) and to make them into even more insecure , materialistic and slavish consumers.
I can tell most of my American gay friends miss having children – and I tell them that’s because Biological INSTINCTS are much stronger than their religion-like ‘gayness’. You can lie to others -but it’s not as easy to lie to your own biology.
I have met a few men who are actually homosexual or bisexual (i.e. actually like having sex with the same sex) – and they always keep it private – they don’t behave like gay-evangelists (as most of my Hilary-loving, Ideology-seeking confused yet fake gay friends are). They don’t want to marry other men, adopt children etc.
Because of having been heavily bullied in high school – most ‘gays’ are often obsessed with power – hence Hilary (or other manipulative psychos perceived as powerful – as long as they know how to work the gay crowd) -worshiping and the fact that about 40% of the US State Dept are gay (they even have their FB page) – my gay friend who works there told me.
So to sum it up – it’s mostly about power, politics, insecurity and Gender Identity Disorder instead of genuine homosexuality (which actually has to do with having sex). Just another case of Orwellian renaming Anglo-Saxons are so keen of – in other words. Fake news, Fake democracy, fake friends, fake careers, Fake-sexuality…fake lives
“but once a person reaches maturity it is forbidden”

Thank you for posting this Saker. I’m a Christian lady, living in Australia, and the only one in my circle of friends and work colleagues that chooses to wear long dresses every day, even in the summer when I choose cooler fabrics to sew. I’ve heard some colleagues make sly comments about how ‘old fashioned’ long dresses are, but I don’t care about them. I’m comfortable and happy, and what I make is always feminine and modest. I look around at the women in my area and it’s unbelievable how complicated they dress – ridiculously high stilletos, short skirts or tight trousers, and always inch-thick makeup. If anybody asks me why I continue to dress my way, I love saying “I’m very Byzantinium” and they either get it, or their faces quite suddenly form that steely blank glassy stare, and they walk away.
Gender studies of college students here in the USA find ~11% of female students self-identify lesbian and ~5% of males self-identify gay. After graduation, follow-up studies of these same students find ~1% of females self-identify lesbian and ~5% of males gay.
The big change in the lesbian population is covered by the acronym LUG … lesbian until graduation … suggesting that lesbianism is largely based on choice.
Studies also find that the constant number of gays in the population is probably based on genetics. Since all babies start out female with about half transitioning to male babies, errors in the transition probably account for differences in male sexuality. On the other hand, the lack of transition for female babies probably accounts for more conformity in their sexuality.
Well I can’t help, commenting on this article.
I saw first hand what society can do to homosexuals in more conservative surroundings. The pressure and dismay caused to two gay friends I had in rural Bavaria in the eighties was heartbreaking. So I am not O.K. with all the, sometimes literal, gay bashing going on in some circles.
As many here have noted it is a private matter what goes on behind closed doors. In societies where public showing of affection is accepted i see no reason why gay people shouldn’t also be allowed to show to the world that they love each other.
What is gayness? I have no idea. But it is a normal phenomenon that goes way back in our history. My feeling is that there is no “normal” sexuality per se.
So a religion which condemns certain sexual practices is for me personally on the wrong track and unnatural.
There was the interesting case of the burial of Lucio Dalla. He was gay and had a long standing relationship with some other man. All of Italy knew that and still Dalla, who seemingly was a convinced Catholic, would perform for the pope. So his funeral was held in a church with great ceremony and his necrology was given by his boyfriend. All was fine, except that some international gay right groups raised a stink (as far as i know no Italian groups did so) that his boyfriend was announced as best friend and not his spouse. It was funny how the Catholic church came out as more tolerant than those tolerance fanatics.
What do want to get at with these ramblings?
1. I think kadyrof is a typical homophobe. I like the guy but I don’t like this.
2. The whole rainbow flag thingy is a political liberal tool to divide people along “identity” issues.
3. I think homosexualcity is as normal or abnormal as any sexual expression.
4. In older societies these issues were handled more tolerant than many might imagine.
At last I have to say that I often moved in the homosexual subculture and found many fascinating and interesting people there whose input into culture I wouldn’t want to miss. On the other hand I understand when people take issue with same sex marriage, but I can see the point that same sex couples are making that they cannot provide for their partner after their death (widows pension). Now i think everything would be fine if such couples could announce a public bond which had some of the legal implications of a marriage. I also understand the issue of adoption by gay couples and I can’t really see how some societies should ever tolerate that.
But trying to frame homosexuals as people who can’t be tolerated is just stupid bigotry. And trying to make your sexual orientation into a political agenda which seems to override all other issues is equally stupid.
I think Kadyrov is not a phobe of anything. He is fearless and certain of himself, his beliefs and loyalties. His culture in Chechnya has no possible room for public gay life.
Has nothing to do with fear of a gay man. It is instinct about protecting family and children.
Because men don’t think much of “gay” does not mean they are homophobic.
There are some weak males who fear their weakness, and they may react as phobes.
The entire world of gay, if you get inside it, is a drug-and-drink descent into SM and self-loathing. Pretending it is natural, normal, okay is avoiding the obvious.
However, there are some homosexuals who live outside that world, who live and work quite normally. Generally, they don’t make a big thing of being in or out. Sadly, they get outed by the little degenerates of the gay world.
Decades in the entertainment, media world on both coasts, entitles me to these observations.
One of the nicest humans I ever met was homosexual. A happy-sad young fellow with truly common values. I hope he had mostly happiness in his life. I’ve worked with scores of gays. It is very hard to think of most of them as anything but gay. They wanted you to think that of them. The best of the lot, the talented, inventive, innovative were always that first, never gay first. So, the gay culture has created its own problems.
Demanding “acceptance” is a battle they will never win.
If you demand being “the other”, you are different and apart.
All humans deserve human and civil rights. Social rights come from mores and norms, even from laws and regulations
.
Liberalism works for the abnormal, aberrant, deviant and psychologically maimed. The Cult of Liberalism has become a construct of transitory values disconnected from nature and tradition. Today they promote gender issues. Next, transhumanism. Or humans in relationships with machines/robots. The Liberals have a neverending use for human orifices. They feature “otherism” as one of their political options.
I think you’ve made a very good point distinguishing the “normal” gays from somehow crazy “gay community”. It points by my opinion to fact, that while the percentage of newborn homosexuals in any human community is originally the same, in very rich societies highly depended on external sources of wealth like today’s “west” is, people tend to create some kind of culture or even cult around the homosexuality. Ancient Rome can be also telling example. In “normal” living conditions are people strongly driven to maintain classical man- woman arrangement of relationships even though some of them may feel uncomfortable with that, but high reproduction rate is condition for survival of the community. In predatory system, like imperialism is or ancient enslavement was, you don’t feel such pressure, because conditions for survival feels very favorable and resources basically unlimited (both assumptions can be only temporary, for any society on Earth). Deviations in reproductive behavior refuse to be an obstacle, but instead they becoming entertainment. So the “gay community” and “gay culture” are forming. It’s a well being feat, not west-east difference, nor religious boundary. Simply use Arabian resources and Asian work to have more free time and more money to spend, you became more nihilistic and searching for the new thrills. With Mediterranean resources and slave work it was similar in smaller scale two thousands years ago.
The way of thinking like there is something “against God” in this universe which is created by this very same God is the way of understanding infinity by reduction of it to the small envelope of human consciousness. Pretending you hold an ocean in a paper cup. It never works.
I think the upswing in gay relationships and culture may also be an indicator that the species Homo sapiens is responding to the evolutionary pressure of overpopulation by reducing the reproducting population.
It is a basic principle of cultural materialism (Marvin Harris) as I understand it that many “cultural” practices and longterm social trends are actually responses to various environmental and social pressures that are expressed and rationalized as cultural preferences.

It is very interesting point of view Katherine, but in my opinion there should be more behind that, because trends towards “culture of homosexuality” are manifesting more in western Europe with birth rate naturally declining for more than two decades, than let say in Bangladesh or Nigeria. So some projection of wealth or level of economic satisfaction works as well.
I think once there was an experiment I’ve heard about which attempted to create extremely comfortable living conditions for rats. In the environment, where all their needs were more than satisfied, the population started declining rapidly which led eventually to extinction. So may be the decline of reproductive ability is a natural reaction to oversatisfaction and therefore the percentage of newborn homosexuals can differ between tribal and industrial society. I had actually no research or numbers to support my claim that the natural frequency of gayness is overall the same I admit that was plain statement, so this can be response to Anonymous too.

It is easy to see that the PC agenda is everywhere: the “genetic” component of homosexuality is put forward on pure supposition.
From the article: The Ngandu “were familiar with the concept” of homosexual behavior, “but no word existed for it and they said they did not know of any such relationships in or around the village.
You see the deviousness here: what does “were familiar with the concept” really mean?
“It is very interesting point of view Katherine, but in my opinion there should be more behind that, because trends towards “culture of homosexuality” are manifesting more in western Europe with birth rate naturally declining for more than two decades, than let say in Bangladesh or Nigeria. ”
Yes, I thought of that. Seems to completely undermine the Harris POV.
But still, I think the cultural materialism perspective is worth thinking about.
The way cultures end up expressing multilayered meanings and pressures and arise out of some quite mysterious sources, including biological, is very complex.
Marvin Harris is a very interesting thinker.
Some titles of his that I found fascinating and written to present his ideas, research, and hypotheses to a lay audience in an entertaining fashion:
Cows, Pigs, Wars and Witches: The Riddles of Culture
Cannibals and Kings

Katherine
Annms, Katherine, thank you both for very interesting resources of informations. Regarding forming of any cultural models, I’ve got my own explanation, which is that this is mostly formed by archetypes- complexes of knowledge shared within particular group via unconsciousness. It was described by C.G. Jung, I think, although I’m not sure. I think, to put it simple, that these are blocks of software downloaded from shared mental RAM of the mankind. And uploaded onto it again, as evolution goes. Affilitation to particular group is limiting the access to particular consent. For example newborn cow is able to run from the first moment, while newborn child has different abilities. Scientists usually attribute this to “genetic memory” although there is no proof that the cells are containing informations other than about physical form of the body. I think people (in fact any living species) are using these shared thoughts and they are forming them at the same time. Some of them are related to mankind as a whole, while others belong to particular groups, nations etc. I think any cultural model have this unconscious representation.
If there is a natural frequency of gayness why is homosexuality unknown in primitive tribes as in the Amazon jungle?
Do they knock them on the head? Or is it just airbrushed out?

I was happy to read your comment as it expresses my feelings. I heard a lecture from a guy who was gay who said that in kindergarten when the teacher was reading Cinderella everybody was looking at her in the book and he was looking’s Prince Charming. This just illustrates to me that gays are born the way they are. So how can an entire population deny their existence? Also, as far as adoption goes, many times the children adopted by a gay couple are those children who are not readily adoptable. Growing up in a family unit is certainly better than growing up in an institution. I hope as time goes by that the issue of hetero/homo sexuality becomes a non-issue and we can all live in relationships that suit us best.
In a primitive tribal setting, the mini-society has to be inclusive and supporting for physical survival and continuance.
In cities the support isn’t there. The simple explanation is that homosexuality is developmental rather than inborn.
Not a happy conclusion for the PC lot.
The world needs more understanding, respect, and love. I don’t see how stigmatizing homosexuals furthers any of these goals.
I do not speak Russian, alas, and may be projecting into the conversation what is not there.
Kadyrov seems to say that in his part of the world the word ‘homosexual’ is never said — especially in the presence of older people, women and otherwise generally. When asked if such people existed, he allows a gay orientation has and does exist in his country, but that orientation is socially invisible to the public at large.
Outside certain neighborhoods of major cities, a ‘Chechen dispensation’ held in the in the U S of A until the mid-20th century.
On about 22nd minute, the journalist asked Kadyrov about Lenin’s corpe and the Mausoleum (a question that is of no importance to me). She asked, “ну, либералы конечно Вам сейчас аплодируют, но, коммунистов Вы задели за живое”, “well, of course the Liberals are applauding you now, but you’ve touched the hot button issue with the Communists”. This is a wrong distinction. For all their differences in terms of how economy should be run, the Liberals and the Communists agree on their hatred of God and of the organized religion.
Liberals are the least tolerant group of people in the USA. Whoever comes to power in Russia after Putin (assuming the country doesn’t collapse into a new “Смутное время”, new Russian version of the Dark Age), that individual will have to do a massive purge, to deserve the trust of the Russian civilization. Liberals are _nothing_ but trouble, to _everyone_ around them.
Thank you for reading, have a nice day, give your Mom a hug.
“the Liberals and the Communists agree on their hatred of God and of the organized religion.”
Hatred of any fable is to be applauded.
I disagree. I don’t mean to hate on the Catholic interpretation of Christianity either, but in Russia, there were no burning people at the stakes, there were no attempts to convert the Muslims into Christianity. Similarly, the Golden Horde, as ruthless to everyone who resisted them (including even civilians) as they were, they at least allowed freedom of religion. It’s the Communists who “elevated” torture and executions to a new level. They were the Russian Inquisition. If “The West” became more tolerant with time, in Russia it was the reverse, and I don’t want it to happen again, peace
” They were the Russian Inquisition”
Hatred of any fable is to be applauded.
Well obviously we can’t continue the dialogue. So the question is which side of the conflict wins offline, I hope it’s not yours. I have nothing more to say to you.
the first video (with english subs) does,’t seem to be working :(
cheers

There are no homophobia nor there is a justification to be gay in humanity that have evolved to use logic.
It’s all very simple logic. We homo sapiens reproduce with sexual organs that identify us as either female or male. Trying an intercourse with same sexes will not yield an offsprings nor it can be happened in the first place based on either sexes organs uses.
If you live long enough maybe you’ll change sex too – Clownfish, wrasses, moray eels, gobies and other fish species are known to change sex, including reproductive functions.
Chechnia is something like Jersey, with Tony Soprano as mayor…lmao.
Wow, this really is planet homophobia. I cannot believe that for the last ten years I have defended Putin and Russia – and this site as well as other Russia stooge sites – to liberals and lefties, at great social cost to myself. I knew that Russia had serious faults, but the Hegemon had become so degenerate that Russia looked sane in comparison. That has changed. It’s now clear that as Russia has gained confidence, it has become even more degenerate and inhuman than the Hegemon. What a horrible situation.
I think there is a huge difference between situation on the ground and the propaganda outlets. While Chechnya was certainly deadly place for homosexuals, when it was “caliphate”, now under Russia it must at least keep them alive. In big cities in Russia there is surely gradual shift towards “western values” and the attempts of government to slow down the process look precisely like this interview: they are verbally flexing their muscles to ensure the population that the good old values are still on the top of agenda (there is nothing wrong about that).
I don’t believe that any harsh persecution of homosexuals will take place there, quite contrary there will be more tolerance on everyday level. Russian state just need to express their preset values both internally and externally and deny the orientation which the west had adopted. For Chechens it is more important, because Muslims are even more homophobic, than Orthodox Christians.
I’m deeply convinced that Putin is pure genius of strategy and the way I read his steps is that he knows well that any pressure makes the counterpressure and that is why he maintains balance as much as he can in all aspects. So when Russia is attacked, he pulls back only as much as he is pulled. Besides he is no homophobic maniac himself. So this is no witch hunt nevermind how much it looks like that.
“at great social cost”
I know what you mean Paul, but i dont think we lost any “friends” that were worth keeping. If they dont respect you enough to respond rationally then they didnt respect you anyhow. For me getting rid of the “tin hat” screamers has made space for better people.
As for Russia, remember this macho mindset was normal in the west till quite recently. People are a long way from perfect but Russia imperfect as it is, still has a far far better record then the empire. But then again the empire has a truly appalling record.
what I have noticed is that boys or girls on becoming sexually mature start to experiment with their genitals. That often happened among them,i.e. boys playing with other boys, girls less so but ditto. This is a delicate moment in their lives because the vital glow that is about or around them. Some adult then easily get attracted to such teens. When that happens the boys can turn gay. For girls this can turn into physical and or emotional problems later on.
Homosex has always been there and will be there in the future. I agree that no “propaganda” for gayism should be allowed. What people practice in this regard in private is nobodies business.
Hormones etc in food definately play a role in sex confusian. I have known a girl of 12 which was a fully mature full breasted woman. The diagnose detected something in one kind of food.
It is unmistakable that Russians over all or broadly speaking are a mystical oriented people just like Indian which does not mean that everybody is like that. In that they are different from west europeans. Of course there was Jan Van Ruysbroek or Hildegard Von Bingen but you will find more such people in Russian culture. There is also a Russian Vedic culture. As I see it Russia is a bridge, link, influence or whatever you want to call it ( the correct word escapes me now) between the West and the East. That explains that in that way you can see how Russia can easily balance between East and west or South and North. But to an extend yes Russia is not the west and II hope will never be.
Breaking! News from a distant planet (not Florida, I guess)! There are plenty of intelligent American women who are good dancers, and could and would join right in like Nailia and not discredit themselves, including with that very same Chechnyan group. I don’t see why complimenting a Russian woman or women generally seems to be accompanied by a putdown of other women.
Maybe this can be chalked up to watching too much TV and thinking that is represents reality.

What a revelation to live by natures laws this man is a genius!
Basically, it is a matter of aesthetics. As explained in brief here:

Ha ha ha.
Love it.
Yes, most men and many women would enjoy watching two women together, but the prospect of watching two guys going at it: stomach-churning! Please, change the channel!
Now, what does this mean????
Katherine
I think that it is necessary to distinguish between genetical homosexuality or hermafroditism and depravity.
The first is a medical condition, the second a disorder induced by rape , or socially induced and accepted, like in fashionable celebrity media.
Putin cracked a joke about Berlusconi being criticized for throwing orgies with women, but nobody would have said anything if men were involved.
Indeed Russia is light years away of the utter degeneracy of Zio-murikan society, last stage before downfall, like Sodom and Gomorrah, and I am not religious, just disgusted.
