Russia’s air defense group in Syria includes a radio engineering battalion, a battery of Pantsir-S units and the S-400 air defense missile systems.
A unified air defense system has been set up in Syria thanks to efforts of Russian and Syrian military experts, Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces Major-General Sergey Meshcheryakov told a round table dedicated to the Syrian experience at the Army-2017 International Military-Technical Forum.
“Today, a unified integrated air defense system has been set up in Syria. We have ensured the information and technical interlinkage of the Russian and Syrian air reconnaissance systems. All information on the situation in the air comes from Syrian radar stations to the control points of the Russian force grouping,” he said.
The Russian air defense group in the Hmeymim airfield area includes a radio engineering battalion, a battery of the Pantsir-S air defense missile and gun systems and the S-400 air defense missile systems.
“These air defense missile systems are capable of destroying targets within a range of up to 400 kilometers at an altitude of up to 35 kilometers,” Meshcheryakov said.
He added that the Russian Aerospace Forces had inflicted substantial damage on the Islamic State (outlawed in Russia) terrorist infrastructure by destroying their ammunition and fuel depots, weapons and military equipment repair plants and significantly worsening militants’ logistics support and their ability to quickly redeploy reinforcements.
“Thanks to regular airstrikes against the oil infrastructure and the destruction of oil convoys, substantial economic damage has been inflicted on the enemy as well,” Mescheryakov concluded.

LOL, and those are just what have been released to the media. No doubt what is not made public will inconvenience the netanyahoo/trump freakshow quite a bit more.
I suppose as a guest, he should have been more polite.
Thanks for the links and laughing at the last line. I hope he has a few more ‘Bad Mass Media’ days.
What does air defenses have to do with bombing ISIS pick up trucks and oil tanker trucks?
And who cares about a joint air defense system if you are only protecting Hemeymim?
The Russians need Syrians to also protect Hemymim while no one protects Syrian forces from Israeli and and US airforce bombings of Syrians and their allies?
You bring up a very good point ! That is why ,perhaps that this war has been dragging on for so long. The air defense forces have very little to do with the SAA offensives in combating the terrorists .The RF air force has on the other hand ,helped immensely in routing the western backed and gcc Wahhibi freaks . Now things may change due to the Madman of the Middle Easts “Netanyahu” meeting with American Officials. If per chance that the Israeli State insists on unilateral action ,then perhaps we will witness the true efficacy of air defence capabilities.
Would not it be nice to see the offensive capabilities as well, to show the “chosen” Parasitoid its proper place?
The Russians have just created the ability to escalate air defense to include all of Syria. If the Pentagon and and Israel don’t cooperate, that’s exactly what the Russians now have the ability to do.
Quiet Russians have sent a message that can’t be mistaken, not in Washington nor Tel Aviv.
That is not going to stop neither Israel or US to bomb Syrian forces at will.
But you are wrong. The US and Russia went to the brink and the US backed off. The US is only fighting around the edges since the last Air Base bombing over the fake chemical attack.
@ Melotte 22
Two or three times the Turks, the US and the Israelis have shot down Russian and Syrian planes, in each instance, when Russia / Syria were engaging internationally agreed targets.
The specific objective is to provoke a backlash that can be hyped into a US/empire land invasion.
The Russians and Syrians therefore must expect to take a few on the chin if a tit-for-tat reaction would provide the empire with justification for an escalation.
These solid air defenses will not stop Russia/Syria taking a few on the chin. Should either the US, Israelis or Saudi attempt a full blown war, however – which will necessarily start with an air / aerial bombardment – everything is in place to counter that.
The message is, ‘you can snipe as you retreat, but you can’t advance in any meaningful way without huge loss’. Pretty smart move.
Proper gander,
I believe, if I am not mistaken, that the Saker has mentioned a full-blown war scenario, where NATO-Zionist combined forces (including Saudis, etc.) would have a major advantage in numbers and capabilities to take out most of the Russian air defenses using saturation strikes.
I have my doubts about the Russian capabilities to counter a full-blown aerial bombardment and missile strike campaign.
….Lets hope we have passed that point.
Well, you are forgetting the fact that such a full-scale aerial bombardment and missile strike campaign would be a very expensive one against a very cheap and strategically target.
It would actually provide Russia with a casus belli… and I would leave Saudi Arabia out, as it has still a lot of trouble in Yemen… and maybe Israel, too, as it could as well be the end of Israel, at least as we know it (not to mention the end of Saudi Arabia), so neither of them would not risk it.
A well-measured (=tit-for-tat) response is the only sure method of de-escalation, as everything else would just provoke an escalation.
interesting Libyans have arrested the isis head of a mosque who turns out to be a Mossad agent…..p!us apparently there are 5 isis training camps very close to guess what: the lsrgest usa base in Kosovo…reports on russia truth facebook.
Well the US and Israel, have no legal authority to be there, but, it has not stopped them. They have had enough warnings, which is how Russia works, now it is time to get down to business, if they wish to ignore Russia and the legitimate Government of Syria.
And who cares about a joint air defense system if you are only protecting Hemeymim?
Correct.
Here is what is going on:
Initially, the task of the Russian Air Defenses was ONLY to protect Russian forces. I don’t believe that this task has now been expanded. However, the fact that now the Syrians and the Russians have integrated their air defense systems results in the following changes:
1) The Syrians now benefit from the inputs from the Russian systems and that boosts their reaction time and capability to defend themselves
2) It gives the Russians the *OPTION* to, if needed, expand their mission to protecting Syrian targets.
Right now, I think that the Russians are still focusing on Khmeinim, Tartus and other Russian objectives, so that has not changed. But the fact that the Syrians now have a much better situational awareness and that the Russians can now use any Syrian air defense battery gives them the option to mount a much more robust and survivable defense.
Does that begin to make sense now?
Cheers,
The Saker
Will the improved situational awareness benefit Hezbollah too, if Israel follows through on its threats to intervene against “Iranian” influence in Syria? Does Russia have any direct communication with Nasrallah and his forces?
Not directly. The Russians will never overtly support Hezbollah, but by providing the Syrians with a better capability and by giving the Russians the means to escalate if needed, this also helps Hezbollah and Iranian forces in Syria. The simple reality is that these four (Russia-Syria-Iran-Hezbollah) are allies and that while they might have different views on the best future for Syria, they will support each other militarily.
Russia has never labelled Hezbollah as a terrorist organization .The West on the other hand at the behest of Israel thinks otherwise . Mr. Nasrallah is no fool neither are the Iranians and they know full well what the ‘game’ is in town . Actually this scares the Israelis because their plans of ‘lebensraum’ are starting to fall apart .How many analysts would have thought that the Israeli’ and the Saudi’ would have joined forces in this endeavor to destroy the M E for Israel benefit. One must go back in history when FDR sailed to Arabia and sealed the deal to develop Arab oil to the profit of Standard Oil ,which was run and controlled by the Rockefeller Jewish family . At the time the House of Saud was but a fledgling wanabbe monarchy that had clearly stated at the time that the oil deal would be excepted only if Zionist expansion would be curtailed .All that has changed today as Saudi Arabia is now a Zionist Puppet State .
Saker, you wrote about “Plausible deniability”, so now Russia can avoid a direct nuclear escalation with USA by putting the blame on Syrians, is that what you men?
Saker, thank you. I was going to try to figure it out, but magically you saved me the trouble.
I have noticed that Russia moves in increments that we in the west are barely aware even exist. Time and again, when I think of escalating a situation, the Russians seem to slice the possibilities into at least 2 steps, and often more. It’s the same thing here. Tiny steps but supremely powerful, and non-yielding.
I used to have an old 4-wheel drive truck with a low-low gear so slow you could literally stroll alongside it. It was not fast but it could climb a mountain, slowly, if it had to. Russia is the same way.
The Russians take a step that is so small that very few people notice that she has moved – or that, even more importantly, having moved, she is not moving back.
Only this low-low gear deployed by Russia has saved this world from war, for surely the US has provoked it. We should all be grateful for this low gear. This is the speed at which you winch the dying empire down to the ground.

The final group under al Nusra of masses of “rebels”. Their tactics.

From the RT article:
“The analysis of the activities of Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic State in Syria “suggest the emergence of new-style terrorist organizations, which pursue ambitious aims and are capable of adopting to the changes in the environment,” Korobov said.”
No doubt they received training in new tactics by israeloamerica. When netanyahoo’s boy trump announced the pindos would be ceasing some of their support and training mission for “moderate” al qaida, he probably wasn’t totaly lying. The training part in new tactics was done, where he lied was about the support. That went covert.
but usa coalition once again bombing civilians at deir ez zor …plus airlifting evacuating isil members from there also…..weird stuff going on ….need to be targeted…..p!us usa paying for local police at Raqqa(note USA refuses UN plea to have a bombing pause to let civilians there escape)….they still seem determined to shut off this place from Syrian government…….sputnik article today reminds us that “invisible puppets “delay peace still prolong the war in Syria that still no effort by usa and turkey is being made to solve the situation of up to 50000 rebels of various mixes notably HTS in Idlib pfovince…probably because they still have many interests with them.
America is done, the country we grew up in and loved is dead and buried, never to return. The emasculation of Trump is the final act before the deluge and I fear real civil war. Too many armed people on both sides and eventually they will fight and it’s not going to be pretty. Trump can not turn the tables, that time is past. Eventually we will have Pence in the oval orifice and ‘she’ will return as the elder stateswoman and guiding light of the empire and lead Pence et al to disaster and this disaster will also be the death knell of Israel. Unfortunately Bibi has not a clue.
I don’t know how China and Russia can mitigate the fall of the empire and a hard fall with civil war will be a disaster for China in particular with her vast dependence on the US and affiliated markets. It will be no flower garden for Russia, either, and eu will wither and die on the vine and Brussels will look like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon with all the decorations on the street lamp posts as will London, Berlin and Paris. What a fine mess we are in, ain’t it?
The problem is nato/us/eu just can not stop stirring up the pot. More trouble is afoot on the borders of Novorossiya and by default the borders of Russia as it seems that promises were made to Kiev during the recent visit from On High. Orcland will only go to war with Russia if ordered and on the assumption/promise that nato will come galloping to the rescue. Anyone with a minimum of understanding of tactics and strategy knows nato will be in a death ride if they do so, their logistics train is too long and open to attack by both Russia and partizans from three sides. If the orcs do a full blown attack the only result will be a complete cut off of any dealings with Russia and her allies from US, eu and their allies/minions/slaves as the orcs are ground to bits by NAF and possibly RuA.
VVP has repeatedly stated that any attack on Russian territory means instant full blown war and I would think that at least one or two field grades in pentagon would remember those statements and perhaps reign in the onrush to disaster that is the prevailing thought process in pentagon whose eyes seem to be fixated on Kaliningrad and St. Pete in addition to Damascus and Sevastopol. Pentagon and the inhabitants therein would be well advised to take a good look at the integrated air defense system now extant in Syria and fully understand that compared to what is in operation along the entire western Russian border the system in Syria is but a shadow of Russia’s defense systems. Bibi coming hat in hand to VVP is an indication of a growing realization that the game has changed and if Bibi sends his air assets in to Syria again I would be willing to bet that he will be instantly warned to get them out at Mach 5 or they will not return, his decision time will be one minute or less.
Perhaps for once cooler heads will prevail in the every accelerating rush to war with Russia. That is a nice pipe dream, isn’t it?

IMHO, US will not break up, and will stay as one of the pole. If the tiny England can stay relevant after WWII, US can and will do a lot better.
IMHO, US is at its last experiment of letting its generals run the country, after a few more wars, a few more ruined countries, and a few more lost trillions, US will get it. Pretty much like how Russian gets it after a few hundred years, and Chinese got it thousands years ago.

I agree with some of things you wrote. The point is that the US now, as far as I can see, is in a worst shape than Russia, if we are to make comparisons. The US has a huge external and internal debt, the dollar is printed backed by nothing, between 28,000-60,000 factories have been closed down, one third of the labor force is unemployed, and worse for Wall Street, both Russia and China are preparing to introduce gold backed currencies, as analysts have pointed out that both have more than 25,000 tonnes of gold each. Introduction of gold backed currencies means the end of the dollar as a reserve world currency. Even worse than this, the latest sanctions against Russia also target European firms building the Nord Stream – 2 gas pipeline. These sanctions were a nasty shock to Europe. Instead of driving a wedge between Russia and Western Europe, the opposite will happen, as Europe cannot function without energy and trade with Russia. America is now viewed as having acquired imperial tastes and losing all sense of reality. This is contributing to the prestige of Russia, and many now trust more President Putin than they do the Washington political establishment.

About the acccidents of Fitzgerald and McCain.
In Youtube there are now a lot of “analysis” which try to explain both events with the influence of an external player. They say , to put ot short , that someone is “hacking” the navigation systems of ships to provoke that collisions.
The usual suspects , Russia and China , are named.
I ask myself if we are not at the stage of a false flag attack in slow motion to provoke a war?
Because the US has a long history in false flag attacks , every time they wanted war. (Maine , Tonkin , 9-11 , …)
What is your opinion?
Maybe? But it could also be their reluctance to admitting to carelessness. I think that might be the right reason.
Since the Fleet CO got canned, it would seem to be a training and operations problem. Why were there no lookouts to visually, as in Mark 1 Optical System, aka eyes, posted to keep a watch on the area? Means both ship commanders, both XO’s and both Command Master Chiefs will be gone and on the Fitz they are already gone.
It figures that ‘hackers’ would be blamed just because they can blame external sources of the problems but it is obvious to even a layman that there were no lookouts posted, ergo a Command and Control problem caused heavy damage to two ships. I saw hackers mentioned somewhere after the Fitz took his hit but only the one time. With two major ships now laid up for over a year each, hackers it will be and we all know that only Russia has hackers.

Auslander: You are saying that (in the case of McCain) they crossed one of the world most crowded sealane (Singapore strait) at night without any lookouts on watchduty?
Thats like a blind dog trying to cross at Timesquare at rushhour.
Drugs, homosexuality, females (of all genders, I suppose), poor training, Peter Principle of leadership, incompetence, nonfeasance (perpetual state of the younger generation of Americans) certainly alters what one would suppose was the norm aboard a US Navy ship.
The Exceptional Hegemon is a Fraud at most things. US Navy, for at least 5 decades has been sliding into uselessness. But they do have the largest weapons systems and platforms so they serve the pigs at the trough for Trillions of corrupt dollars. MIC loves them.
These human factors that lead to fuckups can be seen in the failures of SEALS in many of their missions. We see it in the Marines (attached to Navy) and their own failure-prone Ospreys.
If it can fall from the sky easily, crash when on silent run, sink or get impaled on the open seas, the Navy wants it.
Biggest career booster in the military is the influence of Navy operations. Nobody is accountable until tragedy strikes.
Obama ravaged and fired the good Admirals who dared to challenge the debasement of morale with transgender, gay and minority programs. Sodomy at sea is the standard now.
Where were the five or six sets of eyes due on watch when these collisions occurred?
In some JO circle below deck? Snorting a line?
The state of US military is a joke.
But it is a good thing for those who hope to see the Hegemon take a fall.
Self-destruction is a good start.
Stand back. Hope for more of the same. The tankers and container ships are winning the sea battles, so the human race is way ahead in this matchup.
It seems that active training for division officers has been terminated and now replaced by CD-ROMS.
This link on an article from evidently a knowledgable professor at the Naval War college seems to be on the mark:
http://nationalinterest.org/feature/what-the-navy-doesnt-want-you-know-about-its-deadly-ship-22025?page=2
I would also lay it onto the DOPMA which ensures only sycophants get promoted. I think there are also problems with retention as well. If you notice the commanders of these vessels are relatively inexperienced and are at the rank of Commander (a lieutenant Colonel in the Army). This means their ages are roughly between 35 and 42 and were commissioned between 1996 and 2003. So, these would be the recipients of the CD-ROM based training and most have been at war since being commissioned. The US Air Force is having the same problems for similar reasons.
They are also claiming that it is the heavy operations tempo which is a particular problem in the 7th Fleet. In other words they are too tired to train any more. I would add that these destroyers represent some of the most advanced missile defense platforms in the US arsenal and are what we are depending on to shoot down North Korea’s missiles. It is the Aegis ABM system these ships have on board with at least 7 separate radar systems. All ships also use AIS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_Identification_System is a transponder system showing all commercial vessel traffic in detail and provides collision warnings. The incompetence necessary to hit a supertanker is alarming which means stuff wasn’t working, was actively being ignored, or everyone was asleep (or otherwise occupied maybe orgies? [I have heard tales from Navy friends]). No matter how you look at it the commanders are responsible and all the way up the line but as usual it is the lowest guy who will get fried. However, the impact on foreign policy is enormous. By extension it sends the message that the US Navy cannot function as a deterrent any longer. This may have ramifications for the US encroachments into Chinese disputed waters and/or similar in the Korean peninsula. We have revealed we are grossly incompetent and it was caused by poor training and badly managed personnel programs. This is all, of course, during a period when the military is consuming roughly 50% of the US GDP.
Larchmonter, wrote thusly==> “the debasement of morale with transgender, gay and minority programs….”
What minority programs? Are minoritiesd in command of the Navy? ROFLMAO! Don’t you know that this debacle is a WASP driven failure since the inception of the Freemasonic / Illuminati MIC war machine?

She is now a four-star and #2 in the Navy.
It’s not hard to look up other Obama promotees.
Affirmative Action, PC and anti-White politics have been on-going for decades.
The payoff is now on the table.
Pressure from “activities” doing their job caused these accidents?
There hasn’t even been a shot fired. What pressure?
We saw the sailors who surrendered to the Iranians. And then cried.
The Navy is the worst, but the entire military is a disgrace as an institution.
One thing for certain, arrogance is not an attribute of a professional warrior.
Thugs display their arrogance.
And that’s all the US military has at its core. Arrogance.
It nullifies the truly diligent and professional patriots in the services.
It is a weakness that will cripple it against any enemy.
The Vietnamese proved this. They relied on American arrogance and strategized against it.
The Chinese are doing the same.
Watch when the Chinese rush and swarm the US Navy. They did it recently.
And of course, the Iranians proved it on video.
And the Russians? They don’t have to prove a thing. They sense the fear in NATO and US troops all along its border. They can smell the pissed pants and sweat from the dread.
Anyone who studies warfare has Donbass and Syria to see how a really professional military operates. And with surprise, too. Over and over.
Just think of the Polite Green Men operationally.
You could never imagine the US planning and executing such a maneuver.
As of now, we can’t imagine an agile destroyer sailing through shipping lanes without colliding with some huge ship for no good reason other than total incompetence.
Its possible, but I don’t think so. Hacking has nothing to do with collisions at sea, since all ships have lookouts. However, what is strange with this latest incident, involving the USS McCain, is the fact that a destroyer collided with a 50,000 tonne tanker. How did that happen ? Impossible they could not have seen a ship of that size. Also, what is strange, is the fact that a destroyer managed to stop a ship which has 50,000 tonnes. How did that tanker stop, when it’s propellers were still working ? Did those two US destroyers really collide with merchant vessels, or did they collide with other US ships ? When I saw the photo and video of the USS McCain, I saw no photos or videos of the tanker. Where did it go ?
Hacking is possible but both the Fitz and the McStain were dead in the water when hit. Check the pics. The tanker hit the McStain at 90º That shows the Fitz was sitting dead on the water powerless and thus rudderless. But don’t they have bow and stern thrusters? Why couldn’t they spin the tubs away from the collision course? Those destroyers are meant to be agile and can get out of the way of a lumbering behemoth as fast as road runners. But they didn’t! Why? is the big mystery. They have a Starboard and Port Watch and a Stern Watch for Man-Over-board. So, the question is why didn’t they speed up or slow down to avoid the slow moving cargo ships? The answer is WASP command incompetence [to reply to Larchmonter who constantly blames minorities for anything wrong with the broken war machine]
The tanker T-boned the US ship which in effect creates an enormous brake in the water. If it hadn’t pinned the boat it could have capsized it instead so in a way they were lucky. All ships have lookouts is a questionable assumption. Yes, the regulations say that is a requirement and if I recall it requires 14 personnel at all times in busy sea lanes. Coupled with the AIS this indicates something else happened. As the ships collided on exactly perpendicular courses maybe the US ship was trying to beat the tanker (playing chicken) and misjudged their speed? It is impossible to say but if that is the case it means extreme recklessness on the part of whomever was driving the ship. I might add that in the US Navy the officers may be ostensibly in command but it is the NCO’s who are really in charge. No Chief is going to let a lieutenant or Lt. Commander do something this stupid unless they have been circumvented or it was a setup by the enlisted sailors. Any officer stupid enough to override a Chief deserves whatever happens as a consequence. However, if the Chief was equally incompetent then this spells all kinds of bad things for the Navy. Accidents do happen and usually because someone did something stupid.
A similar thing happened in 2001 when a US submarine showboating to Congressmen and other VIPs on board a crash surfacing which they failed to do a scan of the surface before blowing the ballast and came straight up into a large Japanese fishing vessel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehime_Maru_and_USS_Greeneville_collision
Maybe there is something similar here?
All you commenting on the collisions, look up detailed reports and ships logs that are kicking around.
Hundreds of miles prior to the strike, the commercial tanker that hit the Fitz did a perfect dry run of the maneuver that it executed again immediately before hitting the Fitz. That involved a vast commercial, straight line ship pulling a full circle and then a sharp right turn to hit the Fitz amidships. Even so, it would have been impossible for the 3 or more world’s most advanced, recently updated parallel info gathering systems (sonar, radar, GPS, tweeters etc) on the Fitz to miss this behemoth.
For both ships to act abnormally simultaneously, and for all human intervention (eyeballs) to fail is highly unlikely. That this should have happened 4 times to only US military vessels in the last 12 months points to a new reality at sea. I would like to think of some kind of highly co-ordinated simultaneous hacking of multiple systems. But it is also possible that the the ‘tards have finally surfaced at the top of the tree in the US navy. Call it ‘friendly fire’ at sea.
Maybe it was a Microsoft Windows update?
You do know these advance ships are running such a brilliant and stable platform for their systems? Could also be a lack of defragging on the system drives ROFL which at 2% fragmentation starts bringing out wierd operations from computer systems.
End of the day the US military is a cruel joke. Great at terrorising civilian populatiins but nothing more and in my mind a desease on humanity.
A News Front interview in English with the Bulgarian journalist asked to ‘resign’ from her newspaper position after getting too close to the truth in her work on Western arms supplies to ISIS using commercial airlines flying with diplomatic cover. She refers to Afghanistan which is pertinent given the US military junta’s intent to expand activity there. Supposedly 3000 new troops are being sent there. That is far too few to defeat the Taliban but plenty to train more wahabbists.
She puts a brave face on things but she is probably aware of what happened to Serena Shim, the American journalist who similiarly go too close in Turkey.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJzOg_qcAj4
Who decides when to use it, though.
The Russians, of course.
Will Russia help Syria shoot down attacking planes from the zionist terror state Israel? Never, and everyone here knows this. And that is all that matters.
Russia is far, far, far closer to Israel, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia then it is to Iran and Syria. Turkey is being allowed to buy state-of-the-art air defense systems from Russia that Iran is still forbidden. Russia rushes to vote with America at the UN to condemn ‘crimes’ by Iran and N Korea that Russia publicly states are not crimes when done by the jews of Israel- so Israel is given a blank cheque by Putin to carry on threatening Humanity with nuclear, chemical and biological weapons.
And recall, Israel gave nuclear and biological weapons to the white supremicist apartheid regime of South Africa for the explicit purpose of genocide against the dark skinned people of Africa the zionists call sub-sub-Human. Germany has gifted Israel with three submarines purpose designed to carry their nuclear warheads. When Germany sanctioned Russia over the siemens power turbines in Crimea, did Putin sanction Germany for giving the subs to the zionist butchers- maybe when hell freezes over.
Since the jews played the ultimate ‘victim’ card in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, and took control of that nation via the communist revolution, Russia has willingly remained in the pockets of the ‘chosen’. And since the wahhabis of Saudi Arabia are more of a jewish cult than an islamic one, Russia allow SA the same ‘special’ protected status.
So who exactly is the Russian/Syrian air defense designed to operate against? America? No! Israel? No! The UK? No!. Let’s be clear. The air defense system is purely to protect the current temporary Russian forces in Syria- to protect exclsuively Russian forces from ‘accidents’.
The Russia that sat on its hands and allowed America to cruise missile strike Syria hasn’t altered one whit- indeed Putin has chosen to be even more servile- since then voting against N Korea at the behest of his masters in the West just after they sanctioned Russia even harder.
Yeah Russia has broken the back of this current wahhabi force, and made it pointless for the West to move significant new forces in at this time. But the result is the formation of a new combined undercover terror operation that is waiting to strike with standard terror bombings against soft civilian targets on a daily basis once the overt military campaign ends. In two years time far more Syrian civilians will be dying each week than over the last two years- because Putin is enforcing no permanent armistice with the West.
Israel, with Russia’s explicit approval, has promised to bomb any major defensive facility developed by the Syrians or its allies in the near future.
The West has made it clear that any Russian asset is a legitimate target. Even the most evil nation state assets of the West are given protected status by Putin. When Israel starts bombing Syria (using the same excuse as Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen) and car bombs using materials provided by Israel start murdering thousands in Syrian cities- tell me, what do you think Putin will do?
A war only ends when ***both*** sides agree to stop fighting. Israel, Saudi Arabia and the West have promised to continue the ‘struggle’ in Syria. Until Russia makes the allies of the Demons pay a real price, those allies will happily continue to butcher in any way they can.
Your post reflects the doom and gloom theme played by alt media à la Chossudovsky. We can be more optimistic … unless, of course, we prefer doom and gloom. For starters, here’s some food for thought:
» Germany has gifted Israel with three submarines purpose designed to carry their nuclear warheads. «
Things like this had me puzzled while I was still a believer in “nuclear weapons”. Designed to carry a nuclear warhead … nuclear-capable … what does it really mean? In my technical mind, the nuclear warhead was just a payload for some sort of delivery system, be it a ballistic or cruise missile, an artillery shell, or a plain old bomb. A payload has some physical properties such as weight, shape, aggregate state … right? Whether the charge is conventional or “nuclear” – what does it matter as long as the payload properties are met?
A mystery I’ve never found an answer for. I’d ask you (or anyone else) to enlighten me, but hey, the whole “nuclear bomb” thing is a a hoax anyway, and that’s really all the mystery there is.
The German submarines are still appreciated by the Israelis (and others) as they are very silent and hard to detect. The ones built for Israel sport 650 mm torpedo tubes which perhaps could host large Russian torpedos or clones.

Again, note the nukular variant: “65-73 Entered service 1973, unguided torpedo. 20 kt Nuclear.” Hahaha!
The US cannot stop and the hegemonic unipolar globalist goals haven’t changed one iota since Kagan/Wolfowitz came up with the PNAC.
Putin/Lavrov have played their somewhat limited hands brilliantly. They play a very long game and give some up when it is impossible to move forwards. They have a very limited deployment in Syria and this severely limits their response. If, for example, they shoot down an Israeli jet then literally hundreds of coalition jets will overwhelm the air defense. They know that so it is always a measured and usually sideways response. In general Russia has been winning every one of these gambits starting with the assassination of the Russians in Georgia, the response to threatening ethic Russians in Ukraine after the illegal coup, and finally they saved Assad’s bacon from a unified assault from the Israel, Wahabbi’s and Turkey. They are now eradicating the jihadists of all flavors and ruining the US plans for the Middle East. The US is now losing Libya as well and I will not be surprised to see Iraq and Afghanistan roll completely over to the Russian side. Venezuela is comfortably under both Russian and Chinese protection and the attempts to force a war in North Korea have also been pre-empted. The US is running out of places to invade and increasingly are having to face the fact that the US has a losing military which cannot fight in any venue successfully. The US is also completely broke and has shifted their economy to a service based one and manufactures nearly nothing any longer. The ducks are finally lining up in the economic world and soon both Russia and China (and anyone else who wants to survive) will completely bypass the US/EU economic restrictions. I read somewhere yesterday that a very large amount of the gas and oil pipelines are actually owned by Venezuela as are many refineries. Many of the refineries are designed to only refine Venezuelan heavy crude and are useless for any other crude products. So, these sanctions against Venezuela may come back to bite the US in the butt and result in another 1973 type of fiasco. These are the acts of a nation on the edge of collapse and it won’t take much to push it over the edge. Selling off all dollar assets in Russia and China might do it. China is not all that dependent on the US as people keep pushing. They play an even longer game than Russia and never forget it is still a communist country firmly in control.
The nearly unanimous Congress approved Russia Energy Sanctions legislation shows the sense of urgency the Deep State is in with regards to the Petrodollar Reserve Status declining health. Russia and Germany are targetted because all Energy resources must trade in dollars and this is not happening anymore. This also explains the threats uttered against Venezuela for attempts to barter with Russia and China outside the Petrodollar scheme. The attempt to isolate Qatar responds to the failure to impose by force the Natural Gas-dollar trade. Until recently there was no alternative for exchanging dollars for US Treasury bills but I hear that Hong Kong will now exchange Yuan / R for Gold. This is a game changer move by China. As this is announced the plans to contain China via the North Korean nuclear red herring and through ratcheting up Indian Chinese tensions. The Afghanistan build up is also part of the military posture against Iran, r China or both. India cannot be overly aggressive against China with Pakistan breathing fire in its back. Hence the newly unveiled USA military strategy for Afghanistan plus the accusations of against Pakistan. In Syria, the IAF has been neutralized by Russia and Iran. Israel’s Air Force will not have free reign in Syria anymore since the Syrian air defenses have been integrated with Russia’s. Area Denial (AD) seems to be the name of the game and more countries like Turkey, Serbia, Iran, China, Venezuela, etc. covet state of the art S-400 and / or operate older Russian SAMs like S-300 & S-200s. In Eastern Europe the build up for dual purpose offensive /defensive BMD shields in Romania and Poland and military force build up along the Baltics to the Black Sea InterMarum proceeds uninterrupted. This is opposed by the Sevastopol and Kaliningrad fortified enclaves and by a string of Russian military bases on: their Western District, in Belarus and next to the borders in the Donbass. NATO is now utterly concerned that the Belarus – Russian joint ZAPAD drills will bring substantial assets far closer to the Eastern European borders where NATO has set shop. Both China and Russia seem to be coordinating their moves with regards to NK. Both China and Russia have flown nuclear capable bombers to the Korean peninsula and Japan. China participated in a military naval excercise with Russia in the Baltics. This chess game is not for the fainthearted. As soon as the dollar looses more ground to the point of no return, all hell could break loose.
As usual, Twilight has facts that are fiction.
“Turkey is being allowed to buy state-of-the-art air defense systems from Russia that Iran is still forbidden.”
Iran wants to build its own S-400 variant system. Thus, they have no interest in the S-400.
Iran is going the way of India, building its own MIC and native weapons systems.
Russia invents it, perfects it, versions it and China, India and now Iran “innovate” their own.
Turkey will be getting a version that is not state of the art. It will be an “export” version.
The slow build up of A2/AD by Russia in Syria is shaping to be a Russian based reaction to the new dual purpose offensive / defensive BMD installations in Romania and Poland. Air Independent Russian diesel subs can now refuel in Tartus, patrol and launch kalibr missiles from the Mediterranean into NATO’s underbelly. Likewise, any stand off weapons firing from Dolphins subs in the Mediterranean against Syria or Iran may be neutralized above Syrian air space. This is in addition to what Russia already had in the Black Sea in Sevastopol and Kaliningrad in the Baltics. It is likely, that Russia desires to have the same kind of outpost in either Egypt or Lybia.
It is nice to see how far Syria have come, with the help of Russia, Iran, Hezbullah and friends.
Joint defense system is nice, but it does not seem to (at least for now) prevent Israeli strikes on Syrian forces:

Have to wonder what Bibi really talked to Putin about when the two met recently.
I keep reading about the advanced anti-aircraft missile defenses that Russia has deployed to Syria. Nonetheless, Israeli aircraft continue to attack and kill assets of the Syrian Army. I’m wondering what is the point of praising and bragging about air defense systems that are not used to defend allies from air assaults by war criminal aggressors.
It is not logical to believe that the Syrian people will be made safe when the creators and sponsors of the barbarous ISIS thugs are permitted to commit criminal acts of aggression against a sovereign nation with impunity.
