Time, Forward! Is the project of journalist Evgeni Super
Russia has started building an alternative Internet, not on paper, but in reality. Why do we need it, and how it will work will be analyzed in today’s issue.

Time of Technology
Russia has started work to create a global satellite Internet system “Sphere”. The project involves deployment of a system consisting of 640 small satellites that will provide integrated communication, navigation and remote sensing throughout the planet. This incredibly complex but implementable task will allow us to create our own national system of access to the Internet and mobile communications, independent from third countries. However, this project is only part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the information sovereignty of our country.
Now we are working on building our own system of root DNS servers, independent of ICANN, which generally determine the operation of the global Internet addressing and most of which is now under the control of the United States. Based on the ideas of the father of China’s firewall Fan Binsina, which indicates possibility for several countries, such as Russia and China, to create a direct communication bypassing the root DNS servers in the United States.
Despite the fact that the Internet has long became a part of our lives, we are on the threshold of the Internet of things era, in which the importance of this network will increase. However, in fact, Russia is unarmed before Washington’s attempts to disconnect us, if not from an entire network, then from many of its important components, for example, electronic certificates. Unlike China, we do not have a country certificate, which means that with just one click “overseas” can create many problems for us, including in transportation and other critical infrastructures. And these are just some of the likely threats.
All our efforts are now aimed at overcoming this dependency as soon as possible. But it is important to understand that we are not talking about creating our own isolated from the world Internet. We are trying to ensure our ability to use the world network without being hooked up to the “foreign switch.” In case of successful implementation, users in Russia will not notice any inconvenience at all.
The first satellites of the Sphere system will be launched into orbit in 2022. By 2028, the formation of the group will be completed. Like any large projects, this will create a lot of others. For example, the launching of satellites will require creation of at least 25 Angara space delivery vehicles, which will transport creations of the Energomash and the Khrunichev Centre. Construction work on a new launch complex for Angara rockers at the Vostochny cosmodrome will begin this fall. The satellites themselves in quantity of at least 640 pieces will be produced in Russia, and this will require construction of new factories that produce space element base with type-nominal 22 nanometer. This will give impetus to development of domestic microelectronics.
We will tell about another important direction of information sovereignty right after a brief summary of our victories.
Time of victories
Russian schoolchildren and students continue to enjoy their victories at international scientific competitions. At the international biology Olympiad in Tehran, the Russian team won three gold and one silver medal. At the international physics Olympiad, the Russian school team demonstrated an outstanding result winning one silver and four gold awards. At the international mathematical Olympiad, students of St. Petersburg state University bypassed 70 University teams from around the world and became winners. Two gold and two silver medals were won by our guys at the 50th international chemical Olympiad in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. For the second time in a row, the Russian team won the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics. And finally, our team of schoolchildren at the international mathematical Olympiad in Romania brought five gold medals to Russia. And wish our guys further victories.
[After this issue was released a team of four Russian students won gold, silver and bronze at the 15th edition of International Geography Olympiad (IGeo) in Quebec, Canada. S.H.]
Do it yourself
As noted above, Russia does not seek to create its own isolated from the world Internet, on the contrary, we invite an entire world to learn about our country, including using the Internet. Two years ago, we began an open registration in the domain zone .РУС. This project was initiated and developed by Russian companies from the Volga Federal district. Domain .РУС is owned by a Russian legal entity and allows, in contrast to the known zone .RU, to write the name of the sites in Cyrillic.
At the moment, the network of Cyrillic addresses in the zone.РУС. is actively growing and developing. And this is also a struggle for our place under the electronic sun. About 300 million people in the world know Russian and the project’s goal is to unite all people, even those living outside Russia, into one Russian-language information space. This helps to promote the language, and hence to strengthen country’s position. And, if the domain .RF limits us to the territory of the modern Russian Federation, then .РУС confirms the thesis that Russia does not end anywhere.
Our program “Time, Forward!” also joined the Cyrillic zone development project and invites you to create interesting and useful resources for the society in the domain zone .РУС
Good deeds
Exactly a year ago, we talked about how paratroopers in Yakutia on their day, instead of swimming in fountains and getting drunk, went to pick up trash on the streets. This year the guys continued this glorious tradition of good deeds and visited a local social center, which provides assistance to families in difficult life situations. Paratroopers donated food baskets to the needy, and stationery, notebooks, and albums to children, everything that they will need to have with the beginning of a new school year.
It is pleasant that this year the tradition to make good deeds was picked up in other cities of the country. In Krasnodar paratrooper Dmitry with his wife visited an orphanage at the Church of the Nativity and brought for children all kind of yummy things. In Bryansk paratroopers brought watermelons, kvass and ice cream to pupils of a regional boarding school named after hero of Russia A. A. Titov and for the social shelter for children and teenagers of Bryansk region. In Krasnoyarsk paratroopers donated blood and then also went to a charity to help sick children.
Afterword
A good example is contagious. We see a new positive tradition emerging before our eyes. We are sure that in a year there will be much more reports of good deeds on the day of the Airborne Forces and we will tell you about them.
But do not forget that you need to do good not only on holidays. Help your neighbors every day and you will see how the world around you changes. We wish you a good and happy week! My research of the war on Donbass is available at the saker.community book store
The War on Donbass, which is called by the Western politicians and media the “Russian aggression in Ukraine” was a staged psyop.
My illustrated investigation titled Pokémon in Ukraine reveals how this psyop was staged, by whom and why.
Good. This will enhance Russia’s prestige and influence even more. The globalists, no doubt, will not be pleased. They control the corporate press in the West and now they are applying dubious excuses to censor the Internet, so that their version of the truth can be promulgated. Looking forward to “Sphere” being launched.
Yes, 1.Do not let anyone mess with the food supply and how Russians eat.
2. keep people from polluting the minds and spirits of innocent children under any guise. ( weird electronic games or overdosing them with chemical vaccines, or premature sexuality via “teen” fiction or downer music)
3. Keep communities and families strong. No tolerance policy for bullying by peers in schools. Teachers are
examples of moral as well as intellectual learning.
4. Teach them this: It is never a crime to be poor–nor is it necessarily a virtue. ( compassion and wisdom)
Russia was delaying this growth. The internet is a tool very necessary and important in this times to leave them in the only hands of the USA. I think 2022 is too long to get another source of internet.
One of the rare positive pictures in the world of today of a country in good mood, faith and moral. All the best to the chidren and youth growing up in this spirit of these great possibilities.
We “just” need Great Satan thrown in the lake of fire…………………………………………………………………….:-).
The sphere is necessary, it seems. Many of the concerns mentioned could come up before 2022 though.
Great News, I’ll be waiting for their YouTube as the one we got now is going Gestapo. (if don’t believe it, ask Alex Jones)
ask this Alex Jones?
Alex Jones 1999 Y2K,Russians are attacking!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WkGyAqVmCk
mega facepalm & LOL
You don’t have to like the guy to recognize that the coordinated attack that happened to him and his business, is merely the beginning in a new, totalitarian free speech crackdown. Alex Jones is an idiot, that doesn’t mean it’s OK to silence the guy.
Take a wild guess as to who is next.
please tell us who is next and the exact reason why
we should care about him/her/them?
According to the “almighty” establishment, “fake news” is an existential threat to “democracy.” Fake news like Crimea being a part of Russia, fake news like NATO being an aggressive terrorist organisation, fake news like Hillary Clinton lost because of ordinary people, not a foreign government, you know, stuff like that.
So according to the establishment, the Saker is an existential threat to democracy because he peddles what they have dubbed fake news.
Do I really need to spell it out for you? Or bust out that old quote about “first they came for the Jews and I didn’t say anything…?”
The takedown of Alex Jones is not about him, it’s about free speech. And if you don’t care about speech you disagree with, or find offensive, or stupid, ridiculous etc., you don’t really care about free speech at all.
“The takedown of Alex Jones is not about him, it’s about free speech.”
He (and his like) are communicating through a corporate media channel — nothing “free” about it and someone is paying the fee; either the provider or the subscriber (including via advertising and market intel collection). How “free” speech is your local newspaper? Editorial policy free? I doubt it.
Alex Jones and company have simply served their purpose and the meta-system are making some content changes in the daily programming.
You want free speech — go out to your back yard and start yelling. You want 100million to hear you then employ some technology media giant. It will not be free of course, shareholders must be fed.
This is not about us having to like the guy, I for one do not care about the guy and his business, but it’s the principal of using DNS as a weapon. Where the controlling body can simply deny registration to anyone it does not like, for any reason.
Uhh…who may be next…that’s a tough one…..how about YOU?
That one’s too easy!
Just look at the Propornet list for your answer
There are a lot of (to me) unknown wackos on the list.
Also on the list:
Virtually all of the news and analysis blogs I visit regularly.
Including this one.

“… and his business,…” — about sums it up, imo.
“First they came for Alex Jones, but we did nothing because we hated Alex Jones. Then they came for someone else who wasn’t us”.
Sounds familiar…? Oh yeah.
When the Russians say “by 2022”, we should know they mean sooner…I know because I have been following this blog.
This is indeed good news. Here in the USA, we seem to be intent on deliberately destroying the internet.
I wonder how difficult it will be for a USAyan to obtain a service connection to this satellite cluster?
I think it’s a good idea(it’d be good for every country to establish a national internet service) but why stop at root DNS servers? Why not issue IP addresses too(if that protocol is used, you can always improve on the now common internet protocols)?
A sovereign internet structure should be the goal of every sovereign nation. Great to see Russia doing the obvious and absolutely necessary. Next stop, the holy Grail, making the Ruble Russian again !
This is a very interesting post. Note that it is Dimitri Rogozin who is in charge. A smart and important appointment.
The ONLY WAY to go. Present situation is intolerable for any country which considers itself to be Sovereign.
Free the world of the corrupt progeny of MIC-Arpnet..!..! Where do we find the English Language servers to this freedom network..? Where do I send some of my surplus pensioner dollars, to help launch this World Future of REAL/OPEN, human communication..? Sans & sans again, Incorrigible, recalcitrant, moron-Yanks…!
“But it is important to understand that we are not talking about creating our own isolated from the world Internet”. I like to disagree. Total isolation may not be needed But At least protect the kids there from all the ….. that is going on in the West. And anyway why open the doors to decadence and decay? Protect and follow your dharma or you will go down the drain with the rest. In these crucial times a choice has to be made
Russia(China, etc) needs its own governmental operating systems instead of using windows.
Russia already has its own OS for government and military use – Astra Linux http://astralinux.ru
Thats good, I remember the russians were using windows because they got to see the source code. But thats still not good enough, its smart to have your own military division that codes and analyzes things like the linux kernel etc to make sure it doesnt have a back door. It seems like astral linux is a private company which I dont like as much as a military division of nerds drawn from russian society tasked with the security of russian computing and tailoring/specializing the os to each situation rather then one size fits all. Not every application needs a internet browers, for instance, gun control on a ship.
My one reservation is that governments have a habitat of building in backdoors to their own systems(not that private companies dont do it too FOR the government) which is a stupid idea in the long term because of risks that access is acquired by foreign entities this way.
What everyone should have is a secure computing environment but how can people know what is if they dont know how to read source code and dont have the time to sift through thousands of lines of code anyway. You cant trust governments and you cant trust private companies which can be and are compelled by governments to add code that compromises the security of the system.
For God’s sake get on with it !
I try to avoid Google; (my first choice is Yandex which is very good), I minimise my use of Fakebook (which is fairly useless and trivial anyway); I have never used Twitter, I never buy Apple products. YouTube and Spotify are now only good for music and some alternative news. I avoid the BBC like the plague. It is now very important to move onto Russian and other platforms since the Western media are completely un-trustworthy being controlled by venal, Orwellian oligarchs and promoters of war and domination.
Russia is moving in the right direction. It must not leave itself at the mercy of the US from which it can expect no mercy.
I worked for many years in the US IT industry and know about CIA involvement and NSA back-doors in CPUs and OS platforms. From that experience I am moving away US software. By 2020 my migration from Windows 7 to Linux will be completed and also migration from GoogleDrive and OneDrive to Yandex.Disk cloud storage. I have tested the Yandex.Disk driver on Linux Mint and it performs as well as the other two above on Windows. Another cloud storage service outside of the US and Russia will be selected to which I will backup mirror all my Yandex.Disk cloud storage.
I live in the US but I will damn well not keep my records within US entity control. Another of my projects is moving financial assets out of the US. Read the signs of the times. US elites are demented and intend to reassert control over the US internet and independent voices. This is the next phase of the roll-out of Cold War v2 that they are dragging us into. Much worse is coming. Don’t sit on your hands and wait for it to happen.
” Another of my projects is moving financial assets out of the US. ”
Can you give some info on how you are doing this while living in the US?’
Katherine
A new alternative to YouTube now is Real.Video
It’s a new platform developed by Mike Adams of NaturalNews.com. He created it as a result of the attacks on him by Google and YouTube. Basically he’s as much of a target as Alex Jones is. Great guy – intelligent, decent and moralistic although I disagree with him on a couple of things like his views on China, North Korea and socialism. Anyway it’s a fantastic alternative to YouTube and it would be great to see the Saker produce so.easy videos there.
I will believe Russia really wants to do good when they get rid of their central bank and start creating their money debt-free.
