I doubt that any of this report will be reported in The West but I have no doubts Langley et al are pouring over the transcripts looking for every subtle nuance in it. From what I just saw and heard nothing is subtle, Russia is directly stating that the forces of the US Coalition, read US Armed Forces, are actively aiding and assisting ISIL in their fight against Syria.
From my reading of this, the gauntlet has been thrown down and US has been exposed in their actions and been told to knock it off or else. The next few days and weeks will be of intense interest.

Yes it has – I watched this live on RT – enough is enough for the Russian Forces – they have basically made it clear the US has colluded with ISIS in Syria. RT has a lot of viewers and even if the MSM don’t pick it up – others will….Agree the next days and weeks will be very interesting.
And yet one reads of American claims re a ‘deconfliction agreement’ w.r.t. the al Tanf area as a justification fot its attacks on pro-SAA forces … does such an agreement exist?
If not, the American incursion at al Tanf aand the prevention of Syria from controlling and defending its border should be raised before the UNSC.
I said from day 1, there is no such thing as a deconfliction zone.
There is deconfliction arrangements by phone for air strikes of the Russian/Syrian and US/coalition.
There are four de-escalation zones. They are defined by Russia and enforced by Russia, Turkey and Iran. Syria has agreed to all four. Within the zones, combat is ended and reconciliation negotiations are underway. There is no combat allowed. Anyone who engages in combat will be killed, according to the MOD.
The deconfliction zone is a phantasy created by CENTCOM for FakeNews broadcast.
And now Lavrov and the MOD have shot it down as a creation of US propaganda.
This will be decided by force if the US doesn’t give in and back off.
A pathological liar eventually tends to confuse their lies with the facts. I have to wonder if the fools in the US have gotten to the point where they cannot discern between reality and the endless lies they use to create the false Russophobia-driven narrative that is presented as “news” here in the Orwellian West.

I wouldn’t go that far. I wish it would be. But first all the rest of Syria must be liberated and stabilized. We are probably years away from all of that being completed.Once that is done,then the Golan situation must be “addressed”.
The amazing thing is that the Russians are able to say that the civil war is over and the SAA is basically just fighting ISIS and Al Nusra. The Syrians with the help of their allies have done an incredible job. I have no doubt they will prevail in the end, even over these constant American provocations.
The most encouraging thing is that the US has clearly accepted the victory of the Syrian government, its President Al-Assad and their allies. I do not think that this result could have been obtained so fast if the US had opposed it. This means that Syria survives, Obama is gone but Assad remains!

My impression is that the statements were drafted with care, every word…and the message?

I have a feeling that if Colonel General Surovikin was allowed a free hand. There would be a quick end to the US coalition attacks on Syrian government forces. From his tone and words ,he is (rightfully) livid about those attacks.And would give the US “pardners” the choice of stopping those attacks or lose the planes doing the attacking. Many times “field” officers have a much closer relationship with the men on the ground. And certainly with their allies actually doing the fighting. The lives of their allies mean something to them.More than they do to the armchair generals far away. He seems just the kind of officer Russia needs more of in those situations.

I’ve yet to find an American/Coalition video similar to this. But I’m not holding my breath. The RF have clearly called the AngloZionists’ bluff in Syria in this video and like many commentators here I expect the action to go up a notch in the next few days or weeks. Qatar holding back support for these thugs following their falling out with their Wahhabi KSA brethren won’t hurt the SAA/RF/Iran cause either.
I could be wrong but I believe the al-Tanf operation near the Syrian-Jordanian border is a diversionary operation prior to a massive attack on ISIS who are assembling near Palmyra with air power and Kalibr from RF ships in the eastern Mediterranean and maybe even Caspian seas. The RF have shown they have excellent ‘battlefield awareness’ and mounting such an attack is certainly not beyond them. If that happens, ISIS being caught on the hoof in Palmyra, then we can expect heavy ISIS casualties (something we should not be sorry about) and possibly even break them. And in this blessed month of Ramadan, I pray to God that happens.

This piece of news has not got any space here at the Saker’s but which is causing concern here in Southeast Asia:
ISIS, or rather the Maute, a group claiming to be affiliated to ISIS, has been occupying Marawi, a predominantly Muslim city of 200,000 in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, for the about three weeks now. Mindanao is of course RP president Duterte’s home state/province and previously a hotbed of Muslim separatism. The two main Islamist separatist groups MILF and MNLF have stood aside, thankfully, and it is a straight fight between the AFP (who regrettably have now allowed US special forces to ‘aid’ them) and the Maute, estimated at about 200 fighters.
It has been three weeks and counting but anybody who has heard of Stalingrad will know how difficult it is to dislodge an enemy fighting in a built up area. Marawi is not Stalingrad of course but the principle is the same. Very labour intensive and some specialist skills needed especially if one takes into account civilian lives and property. Jingoistic and overly optimistic forecasts (“we’ll need a couple of hours to clear the area”, said three weeks ago) by spokesmen/commanders not needed (copy the RF General Staff, mate). At any rate all the best to Duterte and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
