Like it or not, there is no such thing as democracy. A popular opinion is not necessarily a good one.
You need good leaders that can direct society with a moral and principled sense. Which is what the west lacks, they are dedicated to their own entrenched power structures. it’s still a feudal / empirical attitude. Led and bled by economics, as if somehow that is all.
Especially in the west, where politics has become grovelling to vocal minorities and economicists.
LGBETQ? What? This represents nothing short of insanity to me.
My own nasty suspicion is that this a natural result of an over-stressed and over-populated society. There is a quirk in our monkey brains that diverts our sexuality to non-productive means. There are analogues in other primate societies (particularly tribal baboons and chimpanzees).
Economics is not all. The furious chase of ‘money’ is dead wrong, that simply represents greed. Which, although I am agnostic (not atheist) I decry.
The world runs on consumerism. The more people, more money big businesses make, more income via taxes governments make.
That’s clearly unsustainable. You can’t just have more and more consumers. It’s already killing our planet. Not just the current mass extinction event for the higher species, not just natural fishing stocks dropping, nor famines (a human thing), nor climate events.
These are not problems, they are all symptoms of too many people.
There is no government on the planet that is willing to do anything about it. Both China and India have given up on population control, for ‘human rights’ reasons.
There is no future with this ‘economic’ reasoning.
I don’t want to live in a world where Siberian or Bengal Tigers, or Rhinoceri, or various other higher lifeforms only exist in zoo’s just for our entertainment.
We badly need a new paradigm, where everything does not depend on “money”, aka greed, which some bloke called a sin.
A new paradigm that rewards social efforts, and not selfishness.
