Wow, too much information out there in addition to the world happenings. Today and tomorrow we have the G7 in Germany and NATO on June 29-30 in Madrid. Various threats will surface from these two meetings as well as childish foot-stomping and brave statements on steriods. Mr Lavrov’s short statement has relevance: ‘We have few illusions that EU’s Russophobic policies will change’ – FM Lavrov
We leave you with one image
And on the battlefront, the news is coming in so fast that it is almost impossible to keep track of. Of main importance on the front line and from the Russian MoD report:
- On June 25, the cities of Severodonetsk and Borovskoye, the settlements of Voronovo and Sirotino passed under control of the Lugansk People’s Republic. The localities liberated from the Kiev regime are inhabited by about 108,000 people. Total area of the liberated territory is about 145 square kilometres.
- Success of the Russian army and the units of people militia of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics considerably diminish moral and psychological condition of the Ukrainian army personnel.
- In 30th Mechanised Brigade deployed near Artyomovsk, there are mass cases of alcohol abuse, drug use and unauthorised abandonment of combat positions.
If you take a look at that MoD Report it is becoming so clear that the attrition rate now is counted in brigades.
Attacks have resulted in neutralising 65th, 66th mechanised brigades and 46th Airmobile Brigade from AFU strategic reserves that were finishing their preparation at those training grounds.
Take a look at Larry Johnson’s latest: “Some die hard neo-cons continue to manifest their ignorance of military affairs by pointing to Russia’s slow progress in taking Severodonetsk as evidence of Russia’s incompetent, weak army. What they fail to understand is that Russia was trying to avoid killing the civilians still inside Severodonetsk, who were being used as human shields by the Ukrainians. Putin and the Russian commanders are placing a higher value on saving civilians rather than unleashing their full military might in order to show the world what they can really do. This is a remarkably mature military strategy.” https://sonar21.com/even-the-uks-sky-news-is-reporting-on-the-ukrainian-debacle-in-the-donbas/
- Also of note is the strikes on Kiev from the Caspian Sea & from the airspace of Belarus. The Russian Federation used Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers. They launched X-101 missiles, which can fly up to 5500 km. At the same time, Russian warships fired up to 50 missiles at targets all over Ukraine — targeting Ukrop bases, manufacturing sites of air to air missiles in Kiev disguised as “residential buildings” & other military targets
We leave this for you as an open thread for reporting updates.

Canadian special forces are supposedly operating in Ukraine:
https://edmontonjournal.com/news/national/defence-watch/canadian-special-forces-operating-in-ukraine-new-york-times-reports/wcm/ce129c28-7b33-4642-8a8c-18d1f1278196
Since Canada has not issued a formal declaration of war against Russia, if any Canadian soldiers get captured I wonder if Russian forces would treat them as POWs under Geneva Conventions, or mercenaries/”unlawful combatants?”
It won’t be Russian forces, but rather LNR and DPR forces, which means firing squad. And rightfully so.
As a Canadian, I am looking forward to the first Canadian fascist being put up against the wall.
Do you think it’s too late for a re-education camp or they’re too far gone and a firing squad can be considered a mercy killing?
It would also be punishment for their horrific crimes committed against Russian people and not just their odious beliefs.
I believe it is in “My Three Years With Eisenhower” that Ike and the fellas discussed what might be an appropriate punishment for the nazi criminals then under focus. Ike said that it was not a military question, but a political matter…however, in his own opinion, every nazi with rank of major and higher ought to be shot. The fellas were drinking in the evening and blasting away doing “pistol practice”…so we must take Ike’s idea with a grain of salt…. I don’t believe Ike differentiated nazi groups…German, Austrian, Latvian, Finnish…he was wonderfully democratic… But it’s, that reading, been 30 years ago…I may be off just a bit.
I do think I’ve heard statements from Donbass militiamen to the effect that they non nazis will do one for one in labor battalions as Zeks. Also that senior nazis will be tried in Kiev. And the nazis will stand for trials, and it’s expected that they will be shot… Since that’s a military honor, as opposed to hanging, this surprises me a bit…but we remember also El Che> And El Commandante and his trials…which often resulted in firing squads…so I suppose it’s not abnormal to shoot them.

FWIW I don’t like nazis. Pathe News> https://youtu.be/FD2QDij85XU
The international war crimes trials will be epic. especially interesting will be the NATI general officers tried in absentia for command and control crimes of war.
The bioweapons labs will also have their own court with plenty of NATOland individuals indicted.
Finally, note that thousands of NATO troops are already operating inside Ukraine. That’s not really a secret.
El Che…..he was a criminal.
@ Roberto
What you said is criminal.
Insulting Che’s memory is criminal.
Calling Che a criminal is criminal.

Eisenhower was a war criminal, guilty of genocide. Can’t go deep in this limited space, but one example: Starving to death of about 2 mn German POWs about 200 Rheinwiesenlagers (Rhine Meadows Prisoner Camps). “Ike” (kike) swept everything under the rug, booked the genocide as KIAs/MIAs due to the Red Army. Everybody can do their own research.
The German POWs were just ordinary soldiers and officers.
None of them went to the Nuemberg trials.
The German prisoners also had no shelter, many were dressed in rags and that particular spring time in Germany was very cold and rainy to boot. So no food, and German women who tried to bring food or clothing to their countrymen were shot.
Yes, Ike classified them as “disarmed combatants” to get away from the POW status and the Geneva Convention. He was a murderous bastard after the Russians defeated the Germans. Churchill had a pathological hatred for Germans and wanted to kill them all. Churchill started the firebombing of cities, after which Hitler retaliated in kind. In both cases, Churchill and Eisenhower were envious of their betters and did what they could to cripple Germany permanently. There has never been a match for the Wehrmacht. Too bad the politicians did them in.
My dad fought with the South Saskatchewan at the battle of Caen/Falaise gap. They were placed right across from the Hitler Youth/Col. Kirk Meyer troops. These SS kids were brainwashed from a very young age (6). Even when wounded, etc., they would “fake” surrender and try to kill the Canadians.
Years later, the Canadian Peace movement had many Germans, Ukrainians, Dutch, etc, WW2 veterans involved in the ban the bomb/peace marches, but we never ever heard of a SS’er being involved. And if they were involved, we missed it. We knew the peace movement was infiltrated by the government, and taught not to get suckered into anything violent or unlawful.
There is something about facism that forms such a deep belief system in one’s mind that it is sacrilegious to give up those beliefs. We’ve all heard the stories of SS units many years after the war, meeting in the pubs/halls to celebrate their atrocities. They are blood brothers and married to the cult of death. That opinion was expressed by many former German soldiers.
I have no knowledge of re-education camps via Russia, but I do know of a few German PoW’s that served time in the Soviet Union after the war that were exposed to it. They were good hard working men that respected the Russians. But at the same time, they wanted nothing to do with an SS member. Maybe one in 100 of the SS could be turned away from their belief system. It wasn’t said, but I came away with the opinion that those German soldiers thought it best to just shoot the lot of them. They were placed in the category of rabid, foaming at the mouth, dogs of war, and if you didn’t share their beliefs, you should be shot as well.
I hate what I have just written, but I grew up in a household full of 2nd world war vets from all corners of the earth. There was a real disdain/hatred shared for the SS. It is my opinion that Nato has gone a long way in recreating that horror in Ukraine and in other countries where they are involved.
I would prefer hanging without the head covered just for the lingering effect. Shooting and hanging (neck break) are both quick deaths but the images of mercenaries swinging in the wind is much better visual to discourage that type of activity.

You are not the only one!
Everybody should remember to forgive all Americans, especially those from Oklahoma city.
Otherwise you cant get into your Russian heaven if you dont forgive, because we were not knowing what we were doing.
If an American slaps you in your Russian right face, you should turn your left cheek open for another big slap, and STILL forgive Americans! Otherwise you cant get into heaven.
This is clearly stated in the Bible and you know it!! (sarc)
Not only Canadians:
https://caitlinjohnstone.com/2022/06/26/western-officials-admit-ukraine-is-crawling-with-cia-personnel/
The New York Times reports that Ukraine is crawling with special forces and spies from the US and its allies, which would seem to contradict earlier reports that the US intelligence cartel is having trouble getting intel about what’s happening on the ground in Ukraine.
This would also, obviously, put the final nail in the coffin of the claim that this is not a US proxy war.
In an article titled “Commando Network Coordinates Flow of Weapons in Ukraine, Officials Say,” anonymous western officials inform us of the following through their stenographers at The New York Times:
As Russian troops press ahead with a grinding campaign to seize eastern Ukraine, the nation’s ability to resist the onslaught depends more than ever on help from the United States and its allies — including a stealthy network of commandos and spies rushing to provide weapons, intelligence, and training, according to U.S. and European officials.
Much of this work happens outside Ukraine, at bases in Germany, France, and Britain, for example. But even as the Biden administration has declared it will not deploy American troops to Ukraine, some C.I.A. personnel have continued to operate in the country secretly, mostly in the capital, Kyiv, directing much of the massive amounts of intelligence the United States is sharing with Ukrainian forces, according to current and former officials.
At the same time, a few dozen commandos from other NATO countries, including Britain, France, Canada, and Lithuania, also have been working inside Ukraine.
Do not forget the huge relocation of Ukrainian Nazis to Canada after WW II. The Canucks have a ready reserve of Ukrainian-Nazis from which to draw!
Chrystia Freeland has them covered
Literally!!!!
That depends where they are taken prisoner.
If nato armed forces are caught in the donbass it is even possible russia will accuse Canada for acts of war. Or terrosism , but it’s very likely the republics act stupid and say they have caught mercenaries and they get the death penalty.
That would force Canada and nato to declare it are regular forces , and they did commit acts of war. After witch russia will call for a un meeting , and the shit will thrrathen to hit the fan.
Yet outside the donbass it’s most likely they are taken prisoners of war. Or more likely russia will kill them in combat.
And if nato complains russia will tell that they didn’t know that they where there, and will ask what nato is doing there, waging active war against russia.
Maybe some Canucks in Kiev? I did read the apartment block that was vaporized in Kiev housed Cia and Brit Intel/Military.
I think that the governments hold the lives of most of their citizens is fairly low regard, so I expect that the Canadian government will just claim that the soldier went rogue and they had nothing to do with it, and arrange for corroborating back dated evidence as proof.
Nobody will take the fall for this.
@Ted: “Chrystia Freeland has them covered”
@Bas Vos: “accuse Canada for acts of war.”
Chrystia is the grandaughter of an Ukro-Nazi. The fruit does not fall far from the tree.
That’s how wars started in feudal times. Canada’s Foreign Minister sends Canadian troops to war against Russia in order to avenge her Ukro-Nazi grandfather. Because it was the Russians who defeated the Nazis.
“Inheritors” like Freeland and Trudeau treat their country as though it were a family estate, to do what they like with.
Two years ago, I was in Kharkov. A taxi driver asked me where I was from. I told him Australia. He looked thoughtful and then told me that there were many Australians in Kharkov. I asked him if they were soldiers. He only smiled.
My take on it is that the Australian SAS were in Kharkov and environs.
Given the idiots we had in charge at the time, that would not come as any surprise at all. Interesting our current suckhole in chief is trying to work out if it is safe to call on Zelensky in Kiev while he is in Europe getting his next lot of instructions.
Australia’s smartest move would be to quietly make itself very neutral and keep the f… out of other peoples business.
Totally agree. Australia is abound with resources. All it had to do is STFU and wait for the dominoes to fall.
Instead of being guided by true national interests, it is ruled by personal interests of the politico, selling its people and country down the creek. They’re all gunning for a life after public office in the western conference $$$ circuits.
The recent Ben Roberts-Smith investigation has shown that Australian SAS, being the same as UK SAS, are nothing but depraved cold blooded killers. They love killing and do it with glee. Strangling Afghani POWs, shooting dead unarmed teenage boys.
And then these scum come home and resume their lives in suburbia with free health care and many other benefits, and the brain dead component of society placing them on pedestals as heroes.
I hope many are in Russia’s reach.
You are spot on about Australian involvement in every USA invasion. I doubt that Ben Roberts-Smith will ever be officially charged with murder – looks bad especially as a so called Victoria Cross Hero -yea right -BS !
Our soldiers and airmen are sent to learn & get experience in killing (mainly brown people). I am not proud to be Australian with the war mongering politicians so gutless they can’t tell the USA to fuck off & try doing their own dirty work.
I think the shit-faces in the UK government are probably miles worse than Canada and Australia.
The following was a TV series that accurately portrays what we’ve had to put up with over the last century
https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Alan_B'Stard
Such scum exists in all military forces. And let’s face it, to a degree, these sadists are also a necessary evil for an oppressive force. However, it is also the job of the governments to keep them on a tight leash.
Of course, that’s also assuming the governments are doing their jobs.
What is not okay, is for them to be revered as some sort of heroes. Equally, once the governments let them off their leash, they have also given up all claims of any moral high grounds.
They’re but dogs of war, in every sense.
It would be a good thing if Russia could take out a bunch of the western special forces / mercs (hit men). I am more in favor of “20 years hard labor” so that their families can be traumatized for a decade or two.
Totally agree. Very disappointed (already) in Albanese. for a moment I thought he might be alright but I heard him on the radio just before he went to Natoland. All he could talk about was Russia invading Ukraine. Australia can’t wait to be invited to join NATO.
It would be funny if they were to be handed over to the Taliban. Pretty sure some of those boys are wanted for war crimes there.
Geneva Conventions could of course not be invoked as these persons would not be under Canadian control even if wearing insignia of a state not party to the conflict
Maybe rent out Gitmo ?
Maybe liberate Gitmo?
I would not even announce it. I would just put them against a wall, then bury them in the nearest ditch, and that would be that. If someone asks, tell them you don’t know anything and ask the ukrops.
Russia don’t declare war on Ukraine… Any eussian pow must be killed?
Probably the canadians are training ukrop sof or are liasons in some hq, so, not in the front.
I will not cry for the death of a fascist thug, but the justification based in “declaration of war” is very dangerous
Geneva conventions are not tied to the declaration of war. BUT claiming their protection requires an implicit admission of such.
What they say is that a UNIFORMED (as much as applicable, but definitely not anyone in civilian clothes) combatant who CLAIMS protection under them is protected.
The conventions PRESUME (aka require) that such a combatant OPENLY PROCLAIMS ALLEGIANCE. AND that this allegience is real – aka not a fake one.
I.e. a Canadian SAS who *proclaims* UA allegiance BUT is later on evidenced to act on Canada’s, or someone else’s orders, automatically loses any protections hitherto enjoyed.
Don’t uninformed combatants get protected?
To correct you, not “uniNformed” but non-“uniformed” from “in uniform”.
Generally, they do not.
Or, to be more precise, they are not entitled to those protections by the convention but this is generally accepted as long as it is not seen as a way to “pretend civilian”.
E.g. camouflaged special ops where you could not recognized if they are a piece of mud or a soldier will tend to be protected AS LONG as they clearly and openly proclaime their allegience.
Those same special ops in general civilian cloths are not protected in any way.
One of the objectives is to protect the civilians and thus combatants are explicitly presumed /required/ to not inter-mingle or attempt to “look like” civilians. As a motivation to do so /pretending civilian may be safer/ they are granted the special protections under the convention.
Additionally, the “identification” to be a lawful combatant can be anything, even a simple headband or armband of a distinctive color
(notice how the Ukies are using blue/green/yellow armbands to distinguish themselves from Russian/allied forces using White or Red armbands, even though they are already wearing camo!
The point is, the simple armband is enough to distinguish camo-ed combatants of one side from another, it’s also sufficient to distinguish combatants from non-combatants.)
Yves Engler is a truly serious scholar and lefty that I totally respect.
Troops on the ground prove Canada is at war with Russia
https://yvesengler.com/2022/06/26/troops-on-the-ground-prove-canada-is-at-war-with-russia/
Larry Johnson also has it covered on his latest.
Understanding the NY Times Article on the CIA in Ukraine
https://sonar21.com/understanding-the-ny-times-article-on-the-cia-in-ukraine/
“When you read some so-called bombshell report dishing the dirt on some Top Secret U.S. operation in the New York Times or the Washington Post, you need to understand that this was not the result of some intrepid, eager beaver reporter who took the initiative and came up with a nifty idea for a story. Such stories are based on official or sanctioned leaks and always have an ulterior motive. This is not so much about informing an ignorant public about reality, rather it is either propaganda or signalling a shift in U.S. policy.”
Johnson exactly understands how it works in my little bug eyed view. That’s the way they all operate, including Canada.
“This is not so much about informing an ignorant public about reality, rather it is either propaganda or signalling a shift in U.S. policy.”
An ominous ring of truth to this. Canadian involvement is being normalised, the public groomed. More to come, no doubt.
One good thing about Canada, they take attention away from Australia which has also fallen for same delusion that it is a some kind of military power. Australia back in the 70’s had an active anti US and war movement, today a brain dead population listens to both left and right media pumping the same meme about cutting profitable trade links with China and the need to confront them. Perhaps also a reflection of decades of substandard education that turns out obedient zombies. Canada and Australia now remind me of the bully’s friends at school, nobodies that couldn’t stand up to anyone without the bully being there.
China’s even talking to Fiji!
Fiji’s supposed to be OUR friend.
We’ve got to enforce Freedom and Democracy in the Indo-Pacific.
“…there is no middle way between being a sovereign country and a colony, no matter what you call a colony,” Putin emphasized.
Canada is a colony.
Unless there is some underhanded deal for their release. They would be tried as mercenaries. And if caught by the LDNR that means a firing squad. If caught by Russian troops that would mean a long prison term (unless the Duma passes that bill to bring back the death penalty). Since Canada is showing themselves as a center of pro-Ukrainian nazi Russophobia. I suspect there probably won’t be a deal and they’d go to trial.
Things look bad, but the West says it believes that the conditions for peace will be imposed by Ukraine (with its help). No one believes that, but meanwhile people die and the money continues to flow by the heaps that it seems someone is stealing it along the way.
It is a defect of democracy that each group takes advantage of its hour of glory in power to enrich itself.

Wagner Group: Hero of Russia?
Wagner Group has just been awarded the highest honorary title of the Russian Federation: “Hero of Russia”.
https://twitter.com/Levi_godman/status/1540735033186459650?s=20&t=AFvoEWpP-nIUC0UpUhwN1Q
This is a private company. Because of its military field of atuation (PMC) it maintains close and inseparable ties with the Russian state.
Still a private company providing the service of contract fighters. Therefore, its members are not regular troops and can be characterized as mercenaries.
As the facts prove, there are several foreign mercenaries fighting in Ukraine. Some have been captured and three have been sentenced to death by the courts.
However, none of them and not even the various Ukrainian neo-Nazi contingents (Azov, Pravy Sector, Aidar, Tornado) have reached the level of organization and equipment of the Wagner Group.
Through Russian channels on Telegram one gets a sense of the Wagner Group’s growth and military sophistication, as well as its ambition:
《 the Group has grown to a military force of many thousands, with aircraft, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles, and this is not the end. The Wagner Group needs the world, and preferably all of it. 》
Like all private enterprise, Wagner Group’s ambition to expand seems to have no limits.
Neo-liberalism advocates the total and unrestricted privatization of the state. One of its most scandalous examples is Chile after Pinochet’s 1973 coup (another of the coups born in Washington).
Chile was the first concrete experience of applying the neo-liberal shock, of the same type later perpetrated against Russia after 1991.
In Chile even the water and the sea became the private property of the local plutocracy, always a minority partner of the transnational mega-corporations. While the People… the People are just a mere detail.
The emergence of private military companies is a trend of neo-liberalism, after all, war is nothing but the continuity of business, albeit by other means.
Is this good or bad? Or quite the opposite?
《As for our PMCs, I am sure we will follow the American way to understand the attitude towards them. Secrecy, denial, “we have no private armies,” partial recognition, and finally, yes – recognition that men are fighting, men are heroes, and you can even make a movie about them.》
https://t.me/MedvedevVesti/10210
tremendous post; very troubling of course for progressive leftists like myself who happen to have some sympathy with russia’s aims in ukraine and the broader hopes for a multi-polar world order based on social justice.
@Tony Davis
Support for Russia in defense of its sovereignty is unconditional.
The support for Russia in confronting all forms of fascism must be full and unrestricted, including direct military participation in the battlefield.
On the other hand (this is not a “but”, but an opening of perspective), we should not be blind to the obviousness of the facts.
Russia and even less Mr. Putin are not without contradictions. These contradictions also concern us. We must face them, learn from them, try to overcome them.
“Dialogue is not a conversation between equals, but a real and concrete conversation between differences that evolve in the pursuit of knowledge and the action that comes from it.”
@Tony Davis
Do progressive leftists like yourself know that it’s the Wagner Group that’s helping most African countries get rid of terrorism?
Just watch the RT documentary on the Central African Republic. The Wagner mercs have done a tremendous job in repelling the terrorists and taking back the territory for the govt.
There are some instances where good has to be achieved through evil means. It’s not black and white always.
It’s never black and white but i’m struck by how the russian approach to this conflict appears to be one that protects core humanitarian values as it seeks to achieve it’s aims; causing as little harm as it is possible to do. No i do not know anything more than one reads online from various sources including saker as to who or what wagner pmc are. If they are a mercenary force privately contracted to participate this is a cause of concern to me.
Ideologically driven mercenaries fighting for ukraine will cite the good they are striving to achieve in their own defence no doubt. There are as many contradictions on the russian side no doubt as on the nato side; i still believe despite my caveats that the russian cause is just in ukraine.
Assuming of course that Wagner is really private and not a govt owned business entity that has been created to look like it is private for the purposes of plausable deniability. Using it to remove US sponsored terrorists from small African nations is the sort of diplomatic favour Russia could perform that would, down the track, provide very useful dividends. all totally speculative specualtion, of course……
That’s a well thought out possibility Eagle, I hope you are correct.
And it would be a typical genius Russian move.
I have heard of this group,to tell you the truth i wasn’t sure if it actually existed or was Western propaganda, also anyone know much about the founder? going off western peopaganda he has far right /Fascist leanings, that could just be lies,i would like to know more about the group before i decide if they are a good thing.
Wagner is like ”Black Water”, it’s private and its real.
put my point about them better than i did englishman
Things are changing in Russia, and the neoliberal privatization of the universe is being shown up as a deeply flawed idea.Maybe awarding the Wagners Heros of Russia medal portends they will be partly absorbed into the Russian AF, like the french foreign legion ? I don’t know but thats how they are used now. .Russian military is still almost entirely a state enterprise..The Russian defense industries are state interests – unlike in the US where the state is an interest of the defense and financial capital sectors. The”all volunteer force” of the US is largely a mercenary force of “volunteers” who are there for employment – for money and benefits, not for service or for patriotism .Despite the constant influence of the official American cult of the military the enthusiasm among young Americans for military enlistment is flagging, a result of over 20 years of non stop imperialist wars and occupations. US military service since it ended the draft in 71′ has gradually become almost entirely mercenary
“The emergence of private military companies is a trend of neo-liberalism, after all, war is nothing but the continuity of business, albeit by other means.”
The British East India Company was founded 1600 and ruled India with an iron fist for a century until the Empire ‘nationalized’ it in the mid-1800s. At its height, the East India Co. private armies numbered around a quarter million strong and were reputedly twice as large as the British Army.
The corporatist use of massive violence for business means was ingrained in the British Imperium centuries before it gave birth to neo-liberalism.
Correct. The present armies of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh evolved from the East India Company’s private corporate army. In this case, the Pakistan Army is still a mercenary force as its is used by the ‘exceptional power’ to provide security in the Persian Gulf and to back the various Taliban groups operating in Afghanistan.
@Zeug Gezeugt
-> “The corporatist use of massive violence for business means was ingrained in the British Imperium centuries before it gave birth to neo-liberalism.”
Of course! The same thing occurred in Brazil, where the police force itself emerged as a private militia tasked with hunting down runaway slaves.
This is a characteristic of colonies with a poorly developed state.
In these situations, the class characteristic of both the repression apparatus and the armed forces themselves is completely exposed. Its primary function is not to protect the “national” interests, but to protect the interests of the dominant class.
The neoliberal doctrine consists of a resumption of colonialism, with Capitalism returning to its phase of primitive accumulation through plundering and expropriation.
Hence also the tendency to privatize the security apparatus to guarantee by force the maintenance of the “good business environment.”
In the case of Russia, its historical formation led to the constitution of an autochthonous ruling class that has always resisted colonization. Therefore Wagner PMC should also be analyzed in this perspective.
Some of the characteristics of the Wagner Group were very well put in a post below by @Lone Wolf.
On the other hand, as the Group expands and deepens its war power it will become a powerful military power formally outside state institutions. Situations of this kind are usually very dangerous.
You can google translate the text, but the videos are in English by Navy Seals and British mercs.
https://warnews247.gr/amerikanoi-navy-seal-peftoun-se-enedra-rosikon-dynameon-prospathoun-na-diafygoun-stin-oukrania-prosochi-sklires-eikones/
NATO stands no chance, I truly hope the EU wises up and changes course.
In the first video, the presumed Navy Seal (otherwise why face masked) dressing the wound of the driver has some distinctive tattoos. He also seems to have a unit badge on his right arm, with a prominent US chest badge, and smaller secondary Ukraine flag. The second video must be Yanks – serious spray’n pray. The third video is of a British fighter – SAS if Navy Seals are present.
Could be SRS or SBS too
The extermination of US-NATO backed Ukrainian militias/terrorists will continue until morale improves.
The US backed Ukrainian scum are worse than terrorists as they have no issues in using Ukrainian civilians as a shield, which is a war crime. Why are the UN/XYZ NGO not screaming for this to cease as well as the shelling of civilians?
UNICEF for example are begging for donations for Ukraine, how much makes its way to Donetsk City?
Anyway I wrote asking them and await a reply/response. Told them the size of my donation depended on their answer. Mind you I’ve written to them regarding the Yemeni genocide for 3/4 years suggesting it would be of greater benefit to target the British Government’s weapon sales to Saudi.
Bidet Biden – Scholz – Macron – Johnson are War Criminals.
The image of President Putin and S Lavrov with their real headaches, speaks volumes!
In the background those look like… western zombies? lol
Just a guess…
They just watched a Kensington Avenue vid.

I have heard of this group,to tell you the truth i wasn’t sure if it actually existed or was Western propaganda, also anyone know much about the founder? going off western peopaganda he has far right /Fascist leanings, that could just be lies,i would like to know more about the group before i decide if they are a good thing.

Be careful, you’re entering Russia’s asymmetrical war twilight zone.
Wagner PMC has been in charge of the Soledar front in Lugansk, during the latest Severodonetsk/Lisichansk offensive. They fought their way into the Artemivsk (Bakhmut)/Lisichansk highway, and are now at the frontline of the upcoming battle on the Soledar/Seversk line, which is expected to be a meat grinder, given the preparations of the UkroWerhmacht, which has fortified Artemivsk into another “impregnable” area, as Zolote/Gorskoe were supposed to be.
UkroWerhmacht withdrew the troops they could from the Zolote/Gorskoe cauldron to Artemivsk and Seversk, first to save them, then in preparation for the Allied forces push to the west along the Soledar/Seversk line. As I said, the main troops in this sector was Wagner PMC, and will continue to be for the time being, with reinforcements from the Cossacks/Chechens, once they are released from mopping up the Zolote/Gorskoe cauldron, almost done.
I was planning on posting an article about Wagner PMC, and last night I read what Wikipedia plus the west’s MSM have to say about them, and decided not to after realizing this group is part of Russia’s asymmetrical war on the West. What I could gather from all I read is that the group was created to exists in Russia’s twilight zone, and there it remains. The West cannot figure out if they are privately owned, in which case they will be mercenaries, a praetorian guard for Putin, or a secret army branch of the RF Army Forces.
Truth is, they are an equivalent of the CIA’s cloak and dagger executive operational groups, which allow the US the necessary “plausible deniability” in special (killing) operations, mostly outside US borders. The Russians decided to play the CIA’s game, and upped the ante with the creation of a superb group, Wagner PMC, a mix of espionage/intel/military operations that allows Russia the same “plausible deniability” the US claims. We have to be careful commenting about issues we don’t really know, and if there is something we don’t know in Russia, is Wagner PMC. Not even the Russians know.
According to “lies and deceit” Wikipedia, Wagner PMC training grounds are shared with the RF Army Forces, and similar to this “information,” most of the info on them remains speculative, a guessing game.
What I am sure about, is that they deserved to be awarded with the “Hero of Russia” medal for combat heroism. Their motto, according to the Western media, is not to fight for money, is to fight to win. And winning is what they do best.
Lone Wolf
PS: BTW, if you were in Russia, you could have been prosecuted for posting such speculative comment, according to the new laws enacted after the SMO was launched. Wherever you are, just be careful commenting about things you don’t know well enough, because, nobody knows about Wagner PMC. They are like the “No-Such-Agency,” (NSA), non-existent.
There is nothing “speculative” in my post, on the contrary because I cited the links with the sources of the information.
As for your warning (actually a veiled threat) regarding where I am, the possibility of being sued, or the caution in addressing this or any other topic, know this:
– a war is a complex event, no matter how rigorous and thorough its planning and preparation has been, it tends to gain its own dynamics, usually unpredictable and uncontrollable.
– one of the unforeseen side effects of the SMO will be its impact on Russian society itself, not so much in the economic aspect, but mainly in the social and political one.
– Russia will inevitably have to reckon with its past ghosts, as well as redefine its geopolitical identity in the present.
– For a long time Russia has tried to be accepted by the West, as a peer among peers, this goes back to its imperial times and has not been overcome even in the Putin period; the current situation is an opportunity to definitively bury these kinds of illusions.
– still Russia is part of the world, it is subject to a systemic crisis of Capital accumulation, which will not be overcome by the fantasy of a multipolarity where everybody wins: for some to win others have to lose.
– A Multipolar World in the current circumstances tends to generate immense instability, with the fierce dispute for world hegemony becoming even fiercer than the pre-World War I period.
– the consequences of the war in Ukraine exponentially intensify the global economic crisis, with catastrophic effects not only in the West but throughout the world, as a result: uprisings, insurrections, famine, disease, social breakdown, climatic armageddon, there will be no peace or harmony.
– Russia will play a key role in what future the world will have, including whether there will be a future and world.
PS: BTW, I lived through the Corporate-Military Dictatorship in Brazil, I had friends arrested and barbarously tortured, some were murdered, I know very well how the repression of the police states acts.
Is it “Wagner” because of German opera composer Richard Wagner?

From the name of it, I am pretty sure it doesn’t exist at all, anyway.
They are not in Russia. Their comments are normal and perfectly innocent, and I don’t know if such comments are prosecuted in Russia at this time as you say. Russia is at war. You can’t expect all others to act as if they were in Russia. There’s freedom to comment about Wagner PMC in an open thread…

i am in england, by the way and am an english libertarian socialist.
i am aware it is desirable to be cautious about our comments, especially as made from thousands of miles away and as a layperson, militarily speaking. The bottom line remains for me that use of mercenaries in military operations is unethical.
I agree, Tony Davis, but mercenaries are usually working for foreigners. In this case, I understand they are Russians (the reason why the “Wagner” name seems rather odd to me).
Lone Wolf:

Their employer simply provides weaponry, and sends them directly into action. I presume Wagner is more combat effective than Russian army conscripts or contractors.
Am I correct?
“Wagner” for a name is like “Beethoven” for a name. It might as well be Beethoven PMC and it will be no less German too. “Wagner PMC” sounds more like the name of a new Ukrainian unit. I have not read much on it because it’s ridiculous. Russia is supposed to be rejecting Western culture too. Wouldn’t it be too obsessed with the West to choose that name for – what is it? Its bravest or best unit? Lone Wolf is saying here that the group is real and that it’s safer not to comment about it (maybe he’ll be happy if you say how great the “Wagner” is). I would appreciate knowing the reason why this last name was chosen for the group if it’s really a Russian military unit of some kind. I say this group doesn’t really exist…or good luck to Russia in its wish to be more independent in a cultural sense.
There are a few books dealing with these “twilight”, “shadowy”, whatever, groups/entities/individuals (and the predecessor slightly less shadowy groups from which they stem/recruit) – whose activities are supposed to span the spectrum from “barely plausibly deniable” all the way to “totally untraceable”. Due to the nature of the subject matter, each reader will have to decide for himself how much credibility to place in them. I list only English-language ones.
– Surprise, Kill, Vanish: Annie Jacobsen
– NATO’s Secret Armies: GLADIO and Terrorism in Western Europe: Daniele Ganser
– Zero Footprint: Ralph Pezzullo and Simon Chase
– Killer Elite: Michael Smith (history of ISA aka “the Activity”)
– The Darkest Side of Politics (vols. I and II): Jeffrey M. Bale
Sometimes fiction/faction can illuminate the shadows better than non-fiction: here I’d include Bob Baer’s “Blow the House Down”, Fiennes’ “The Feather Men”, and RJ Hillhouse’s “Outsourced” // In fiction/faction, though, authors will often deliberately “mix the ice cream in with the bullshit”, so it’s reader beware*…
*From a reader’s review of RH Auslander’s “An Incident on Simonka”: “In Soviet times news readers became quite adept at finding the little gems of truth. That skill is useful in reading Auslander’s books”.
The existence of the Wagner Group as a private entity is officially acknowledged. See Interview Sergey Lavrov with Mediaset, Italian television network, Moscow, May 1, 2022 (https://www.mid.ru/en/foreign_policy/news/1811569/)
Excerpt Interview Lavrov:
Question: There are several thousand or perhaps tens of thousands of neo-Nazi militants. Can their presence excuse the denazification of a country with the population of 40 million? There are such battalions as the Wagner Group, who also draw inspiration from neo-Nazi ideas, serving with the Russian troops.
Sergey Lavrov: We have discussed the Wagner Group a number of times with those who are interested in this topic. Wagner is a private military company that has nothing to do with the Russian state. We explained this to our French colleagues, too; they started to get nervous when the Wagner Group agreed with the Mali government to provide security services. Back in September 2021, my esteemed colleague Jean-Yves Le Drian, as well as Josep Borrell, said directly that Russia had no business in Africa, neither as a state nor with private military companies because Africa is the EU and France’s zone. This is what they said to me almost word for word.
We also explained the situation in Libya, whose authorities invited this private military company to the city of Tobruk, where the Libyan parliament is situated. Italy knows the Libyan situation very well. They are there on commercial terms, like in Mali. There is nothing like that in Ukraine, which has a huge number of mercenaries from Western countries. I believe the talk about the Wagner Group’s presence in Ukraine is nothing but a trick to distract attention from what our Western colleagues are doing. (…)
Dear Lone Wolf,
from The Reverse Side of the Medal Telegram channel, I get the idea that they (Wagner) are very highly motivated and that the word “mercenary” for them has a totally different meaning from the Western concept. Western mercenaries are in for the money, of for sadism or bragging, or a combination of those. Wagner “mercenaries” want to fight for the right cause, and die for it if needed. They can be pretty mercyless, but then if you need to fight the likes of IS or Azov, one understands…They do deserve that medal I’m sure!
i am accustomed to making comments about how our – uk – ‘deep state’ operates in suppressing Truth and promoting the foul goals of the neo liberals and neo cons on behalf of the u.s. I have been banned from commenting on the guardian news site and am fully aware that there are risks attached to speaking freely in this country. As a well wisher of the RF at least in regard to the present SMO and the wider goals of achieving uni-polar world i am more than happy to exercise caution and believe that in general i do so. My comment history here will attest to my humility in this regard too, as i am firmly a layperson and have very limited knowledge about the granular detail of what is happening and why in ukraine and elsewhere. This is in part why i read saker, moon of albama, etc: to balance the manifest flaws and ill intent of the western msm in my pursuit of being better informed. I believe we have freedom within moderation to speak candidly and am yet to be moderated into silence here so i feel i am expressing myself within reasonable bounds.
Is it plausible that Russia would employ the military equivalent of prostitutes? Soldiers with no loyalty to the father (mother) land, but only to filthy luchre or ego rush gratification? Are these troops from Russia, or are they international? Are they the usual retired military or special ops? How much are they getting? I’m going to assume that they exist so that Russian youth’s lives will not be at risk in particularly dangerous operations. But maybe they conduct themselves a bit below the high moral standards of the Russian armed forces and the brass and politicians want that kept secret from the people.
ASB Military News
To address the long standing question we receive on a daily basis over “total air superiority” over Ukraine — it is not that simple.
We will try to explain in non-technical terms. In order to suppress (destroy) an enemy air defence system, the system has to give out its position. This is done by the system when it scans for targets or when it fires an interceptor missile at a target (to put it simply, this is overly simplified, it’s more complicated than that) — the problem is this: Ukrainian S300, or any S300 for that matter are very, very effective systems, even versions from Soviet times. They are more effective than anything NATO possesses. These systems, especially in Kiev — don’t need to scan the skies because they are being fed data from NATO radars and planes in nato airspace. They are being fed data from radars located outside of Ukraine — which Russia cannot target without starting a nuclear war between NATO & RF. So these systems never have to give out their position. They will only give out their position when they actually down a Russian airplane — at which point they will get destroyed (highly likely). Ukrainian air defence commanders are not stupid. They will not use the S300 to intercept a decoy. They will do so via other smaller systems which are not as valuable. They will only fire the S300 when they are absolutely certain that they are about to down a specific jet which the russian forces are likely to fly — or a high value/risk target. Another problem is that the S300 is a highly mobile system. Due to the fact that it’s being fed targeting data from NATO radars, it can simply switch its radar on just prior to firing an interceptor missile and turn it right off && then change its location. These systems are notoriously hard to destroy when in the hands of people who actually understand them. Ukrainians we’re involved in the making of these systems as much as Russians during the Soviet Union, so they are still very competent operators.
And lastly, Russia is not using its electronic warfare suites due to NATO activity in Ukraine. Yes, Russia could jam NATO radars and risk downing NATO aircraft even outside of Ukrainian airspace, but that would instantly mean NATO gathering information about russian electronic warfare systems which will be crucial in the event of a conflict between Russia and NATO. These systems are simply not worth it to satisfy the internet audience with destroying systems which do not pose a critical threat to the Russian forces.
Russia is being very wise with which systems it employs. They’re not trying to show off their capabilities, NATO is very well aware of their capabilities which is why they refuse to get their forces involved inside of Ukraine.
It’s worth noting that Russia is of course using EW, just not it’s most capable EW.
Hope that clears it up for those asking that question.

Thanks. I’ve learned long ago not to second-guess how the Russians are doing the SMO and am content to just watch the action.
very good answer. Thanks.
Its time the Russians wrapped the Dondass and Luhansk operations up.
Then Russia must decide if cutting off Odessa is a goal?
What Russia must avoid is allowing the U.S to continue the war by proxy, allowing U.S arms manufacturers to profit.
The sooner the war ends then the economic war against U.S can be focused on…thats the war U.S can’t win.
If Zelensky continued attacks then long range missle attacks on the wealthy in Ukraine will stop that.
Hay que recordar que los nazis quemaron a ciudadanos deodessa en el año 2014 en el edificio de sindicatos ,creo que hay mucha población ruso ucraniana ,supongo que querrán ser parte de las repúblicas
“Its time the Russians wrapped the Dondass and Luhansk operations up”
Probably not a realistic goal. Liberating Lugansk took a long time because of Russia’s patient tactics of gutting the Nazi military with endless artillery fire. It now looks as if Russia’s tactics been validated. We can expect the liberation of Donbass, but completion of that operation may take months.
I’m not an expert, but I’ll make the educated guess Russia has the war won if it continues using these same tactics. The Nazis are now losing troops at a higher rate than did America during the height of the Vietnam War. No way the Ukraine can sustain its war effort under such conditions. Something will break, either on the domestic front or in its military.
Bottom line: in war, depletion of personnel due to horrifically high casualties decides the outcome of the game. The Ukraine simply doesn’t have a manpower pool sufficiently large to weather this kind of storm. The opposite is true of Russia.
Concerning Odessa, Russia will probably make a decision much latter in time, during the terminal phase of the Nazi war machine’s collapse.
The Nazis’ only remaining hope, I assume, are the HIMARS now arriving in the combat zone. If Russia neutralizes the HIMARS, there are probably no remaining US/NATO weapons systems available to the Ukraine which can impact the outcome of the war.
Keep the following words in mind: slow, patient, steady, grinding, and devastating. That defines Russia’s winning strategy. Liberating Donetsk and Odessa will take time. But it will unquestionably happen.
This whole war has been conducted as if time is on Russia’s side. Which it is. It is the US which conducts every war as a race to achieve its objectives before they lose public support.
I will add with respect to some comments on Wagner PMC that there are many Russians with German names dating from the time of Catherine the Great.
Phase 2 will be complete mid-July maybe late July.
Phase 3 could then start perhaps 5 weeks later, say end August. Isolating Odessa seems a reasonable goal. 3 month operation to isolate/liberate Odessa before winter sets in seems reasonable.
Question of how much the DPR and LPR militaries will participate in Phase 3. Thats around 120,000 ground forces. They’ve borne the brunt of 120+ days of continuous combat, outnumbered, and with ancient equipment. victorious with high morale yes – but in need of more than 5 weeks rest and retrofit. TBD
Believe it’s a strategic necessity to isolate/liberate Odessa before NATO’s Spring Counter Offensives.
The British propaganda is ludicrously pathetic lies but can be comedy gold. The BBC is today reporting what so called expert from Kings College London. According to this non-entity the Russian success regards “taking” territory is harming Russia as their is now more territory to defend!
So, according to the BBC and the UK “expert” Russia is going to lose because it is winning! What is incredible is some people actually believe this utter nonsense and total BS.
Ive read quoted statements recently from the UK defense minister. Ridiculous stuff. Im not sure how they havent been sacked or had to resign as they denegrate the position with such tabloid trash words. Im only guessing its fully sanctioned psyops lies. Copuim is at an all time high price

Praxis, that is exactly what happened to me. I was listening to another video and this began playing automatically next…an accidental contact with the alternate universe. Fidel Castro was a visionary, and no better example can we have of his prophetic vision of the future than the quote you posted.

The main problem with that quote is the term “fascism” is not precise enough. Trump/MAGA and woke globalism both get called “fascist”, even though they’re completely different, and their effects on the common people are like night and day.
I’m wondering if someone can explain something. It concerns the high-profile, sophisticated but ghoulish, Russophobic OSINTERs on Twitter. Guys like Bob Lee, Henry Schlotman, and others.
Those guys are good at their jobs; Nightvision himself acknowledged so in his posts on this forum. They always have good ballpark estimates of daily casualties, equipment losses, and which specific units are moving forward, backward, or being grinded down by attrition. All important technical information, you could say.
Yes, of course, they are anti-Russian. No need to discuss that, as their OSINT updates reflect very obvious pro-Nazi bias. They only report Russian losses, not Ukrainian. But I guess that’s because their Nazi contacts on the ground will threaten them if inconvenient truths about the Ukrainian war effort are made public.
My question is, how exactly do these OSINTERs get their information? What are their methods? I am assuming they rely on (at least) four basic data sources:
1) Satellite photographs of terrain in the warzone. These photos are probably produced daily, and show burned hulks of tanks, trucks, in addition to bomb crater holes on the battlefield.
2) Drone footage which is geolocated and time stamped, and uploaded daily to social media outlets.
3) Personal contacts with Nazis in the battle zone, who regularly communicate to OSINT the total number of dead soldiers and destroyed tanks seen on any given day, and so on.
4) I suppose the OSINT guys maintain spreadsheets listing every battalion on each side, including its presumed number of personnel, weapons, and equipment. From there, the OSINTers must subtract reported or assessed daily losses from the original figures. That’s probably how they make guesstimates about which battalions have lost, or are losing, combat effectiveness.
I’d appreciate it if anyone could enlighten me about OSINT data assessment methods. Do I have the right idea?
One of the best comments ever
Most “OSINT” come from “content farms” and states sources like officials situations briefings from booth parts. Maps are often outdated for parts of the frontline. There is a lot of giberish , fool talk and decieption in OSINT. It’s just another propaganda form.
Some are entertaining ^^ The 2022 Baghdadi Bob/Swchartzkopf duo has it’s own charms …
I hope they don’t take the mercenaries prisoner. Mercenaries Must be incinerated with Tos -1
God bless Vladimir Putin. May the tyrants taste a bitter and lasting defeat.
Those US M777 Triple James Bond HowShitterz are proving just that, AAA + shit, a battleground liability.
Will the folks in America do an Audit on military merchandise purchased in their name from a criminal US MIC at prices 10 x higher than their Russian peer?
NATO seem clueless tactically, every Special Operation by UAF-NATOcommand, ends up with 90% + losses.
By the time that this is over the Allies may have 10 thousand Nazi and Merc prisoners. I have the feeling that the solution will be penal brigades exactly as the Russian used in WW2. There are lots of mine fields needing clearing. Large scale exicutions would be counter productive for the Allies.
Indeed there is a lot of re construction to do.
As an example, German troops captured by the French were used as forced labor in France until 1954.

There is nothing “speculative” in my post, on the contrary because I cited the links with the sources of the information.
As for your warning (actually a veiled threat) regarding where I am, the possibility of being sued, or the caution in addressing this or any other topic, know this:
————————————————————
Dear arkx Brasil,
A couple of links doesn’t make your comment veritable, or less speculative.
Not my intention to argue with you, all I can tell you is, you know nothing about Wagner PMC, not because you’re an ignorant, you seem to be a well informed person, but because nobody knows about them.
As for you taking my comment about “prosecution in Russia” as a “veiled threat,” it only speaks of your paranoia. The fact you mention Brasil in your nick doesn’t mean you are in Brasil, and your comments don’t reveal your location. If a virtual response to your comment ensues such a reaction from you, all I can say is, I am not responsible for your paranoia.
All I was trying to show you was you were digging into a rabbit hole, not knowing anything about the subject you commented upon, which in Russia, under the new laws, comments such as yours can face prosecution. It was a contextual analogy, not a “veiled threat,” but be my guess, take it as you want. Your privilege.
Virtual threats are the most stupid stuff of the virtual world, similar to those who tell you “I am this and that, and I will kill you from here with a Kalibr I will send online to your location, which I already know.”
Right.
As for the rest of your diatribe, it has nothing to do with my point.
Have a good rest of the weekend.
Lone Wolf
Dear,
Thank you very much for your answer.
I clarify that I did not take your words as an intentional “veiled threat”.
My reaction was a practical demonstration of how different people, from different countries, different cultures, with different life experiences and even different ways of living, usually also have different interpretations of words and actions.
If we authentically strive to build a Multipolar World (however narrow our radius of action may be), we must take all these differences into account.
There will only be multipolarity if it is founded on multi-culturalism, multi-nationality, multi-ethnicity and, above all, on absolute respect for sovereignty, from countries to individuals.
We are living in a period of dramatic changes, which will also have repercussions on each one of us. Everything that seemed so certain, may no longer be so certain. How to cross the canyon of the living dead, finding the way to the land of Life?
Some days ago I watched a very interesting Russian film, set at the time when the Nazis were threatening to invade Moscow.
Mariya is the daughter of an orthodox priest. She denies religion and her own father, and becomes an agent of the NKVD to serve only and exclusively the USSR.
Her superior sends her to check on a fortune-teller, to whose house dozens of people flock daily in search of advice and guidance.
Unbeknownst to her, Maryia’s report is sent directly to Stalin. And he himself seeks out the fortune-teller to find out who will win the war.
The seer gives Stalin the answer: “It will be so because it has to be so.
She also advises Stalin on how to proceed in order to prevent the fall of Moscow. A very special picture of Mary, the mother of Jesus, had to be brought to the city.
Marya is assigned to the mission. Along the way, that life experience transforms her convictions.
In the course of the story, other characters are similarly transformed by their contradictions, and what seemed to be one thing is revealed as another.
A seemingly unimportant death is the loss of a decisive ally. The atheist cries out to God in disbelief, but the divine response leaves him in no doubt. A priest is also an agent of the NKVD. A great love is nothing but a coward. Faced with a certain firing squad, the miracle comes true. Something that would be indifferent gains an existential dimension.
In possession of the painting, Stalin makes it soar to the heavens over Moscow. As we know today, the Nazis were repelled.
What is the power of a painting? Probably none. What is the power of a symbol? Certainly a lot. What is the power of life experiences?

Thank you, LW
Liberation of Sverdonetsk is complete. This is great news, Congratulations. Western MSM seem to have hit the bottom of their creative BS reporting about the situation in Donbass. They don’t say a word about the loss of Zelinski’s formidable NATO garrisons in Sverdonetsk and Lysichansk. As I write this comment a western media news channel in Farsi, is having western educated experts giving analysis about the situation in Ukraine. Did you know that according to these Farsi speaking imbeciles, Finland, with a total population of around 5 million, has nearly one and half million soldiers ready for fight against Russia? Especially once the Fins join the NATO, their strong military will become a nightmare for the Russians. Another interesting piece of news, again on the same channel which is directed toward Iranian audience, is that the US and EU are trying to isolate Russia, by allowing Iranian oil reach the international market. Also, they would sow division between Moscow and Tehran. Another report claimed Russia is demanding 10 million dollars in compensation to release a huge pipeline laying marine vessel which is supposedly owned by Iran but was lent to Russia some years ago. The Irony is the big vessel is seized in Holland carrying a Russian flag. Why would Russia sail a rented Iranian vessel to Holland and once it’s stopped, then Russia asks Holland to become a mediator telling the Iranians hey you must give me ten million dollars? If Russia could release the vessel, why then it was seized by Holland? These stupid western-paid persian speaking experts think the Iranians are so gullible that they would believe whatever garbage they give them.

I don’t know the answer to that. AFAIK, Wagner PMC is populated by former RF Army soldiers, probably former Spetsnatz, but as I said in my post, nothing is known about them, other that they are superb fighters.

I don’t know the answer to that, either. There is a PDF paper called “The Russian Way of War,” which provides all this information in detail. There are several papers published with the same name, I have to look for the one A. Martyanov recommended. I’ll post it here when I find it.

I presume your assumption is correct. They do have military backgrounds, my best guess special forces. If that doesn’t do the trick then there really is no cure for stooopid.
This is the American Empire/NATO’s plan.
Declare that Russia has abrogated the 1997 NATO- Russia Founding Act by not exercising restraint in its conventional force deployments in Europe
Admit Sweden and Finland to NATO.
Build up infrastructure in Poland, Lithuania and the region, to be able to handle heavy American tanks
Beef up NATO troop strength in Poland and the Baltic states by several thousand each.
Send in high tech equipment to match Russia’s.
Get Lithuania to block rail deliveries of sanctioned goods to Kaliningrad.
Russia is already prevented from flying over EU territory.
Only option is ferry delivery via Baltic sea.
Sweden and Finland block the gulf of Finland. Russia seizes the Sawalki Corridor.
NATO declares that Russia has committed an act of war by capturing NATO member territory and begins hostilities.
They must think that Russians are retarded.
This is the thinking of the US War College and the Atlantic Council.
Has any of this infrastructure around Sawalki been improved?
They did hold a drill involving NATO members plus Finland and Sweden in the Baltic called Baltops 22 that ended 6/17/22.
Russia, too held a drill, 6/22/22, in the gulf of Finland.
The West seemingly wants war but they are half-assed about it.
“Send in high tech equipment to match Russia’s.”
They don’t have matches for Russia’s best.
“ The West seemingly wants war but they are half-assed about it” (on the question of Lithuania):
Some factions in the West want war. Others think it is a terrible idea. The vast majority are clueless.
Russian brothers marching through 404 now;)

The Russian Aerospace Forces with high-precision weapons and Caliber missiles attacked the territory of the 169th training center of the ground forces in the Chernihiv region, the 199th training center of the airborne assault troops in the Zhytomyr region, as well as the 184th training center of the armed forces of Ukraine in the Lviv region
As a result of the strike, the combat capability of the 65th, 66th motorized infantry brigades and the 46th airmobile brigade from the strategic reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which completed training at these training grounds, completely lost their combat capability. The planned transfer of these formations to the combat zone was disrupted.

Thanks. I’m familiar with Grau. Years ago I read “The Bear Went Over the Mountain: Soviet Combat Tactics in Afghanistan.” I’ve also read his online articles about Spetznaz operations in Afghanistan. He’s a sophisticated military analyst who produces interesting, enjoyable material.
I familiarized myself with some of Grau’s evaluations of the Russian army written shortly before this year’s war. But, obviously, he failed to forecast their tactical and operational difficulties in northern Ukraine during the first six weeks of combat. Based on Grau’s fairly high opinion of Russian abilities, they should have smoked the Ukrainians quickly and efficiently. But it didn’t happen.
I’ll take a look at this book you recommend. But I’m weak concerning anything high-tech, so those aspects of Grau’s analysis seem like a blur.
My personal interest is tsarist era Russian military history, particularly the 19th century. Many of my ancestors made their careers in the Russian army during those times.
IMHO the Russian’s are accomplishing two things by taking it slow – saving civilian lives and depleting western stocks of weapons sent to Ukraine they are unable to replenish due to supply shortages. They are weakening nato every day they destroy western hardware.
@Don (“IMHO the Russian’s are accomplishing two things by taking it slow – …”)
IMHO you are correct, though significantly incomplete.
IMHO Russia is at LEAST accomplishing the following by taking it “slow” (at least and maybe differently, as neither I nor anyone outside of Russia’s military planners actually KNOW what their plans, time-frames, and ‘speeds’ are. What we do ‘know of’ is mostly some of the past, speculation, projection, prediction, hope, and all manners of “If I…”, “It’s obvious..”, and “I think..”). Ian Wilson perhaps observed it (our ‘guesses’) best: “No amount of sophistication is going to allay the fact that all your knowledge is about the past, and all your decisions are about the future.”
So, IMHO Russia is at least (from public record, even as presented through this web site) accomplishing the following by taking it “slow” (There’s far more but here are a few highlights):
1. Russia is going at their own dynamically designated as well as adaptive ‘pace’. “Slow” is somebody else’s expectations and measurements, certainly not their own. Just, if nothing else, consider what Russia has done (and continues to do) in only 100 days across an activity land mass greater than the U.K., against a 24/7 intelligence fire-hose feed to UAF from the U.S., EU, and NATO, and training, varied NATO troops (under-cover), equipment and weapons delivered, installed and prepared with 8 YEARS of Ukraine/NATO preparation and momentum, as well as the direct taking by Ukraine (shelling, tanks, direct fire) of some 16,000 [U.N. numbers, mostly civilian men, women, and children] Ukrainian (Donbass) and Russian lives.
Russia’s “Slow” ought to be re-translated as Russia’s “Awesome”, and “Shock and Awe,” at a totally new and, in fact, compassionate level, et al.
2. Saving civilian lives;
3. Preserving (as much as is possible) vital civilian infrastructure;
4. Re-constituting civilian life. Accomplishing THE toughest (and no force, including past USSR forces, in the last 500 years [NONE. i.e. since the 1500’s – I stopped researching there] has done so. That is: Immediately and in parallel with conducting active battle Russia has started to re-build protected/acquired lands, provide AND continue to freely deliver (now) tens of thousands of tons of relief civilian foods, water, and basic essentials, provides identification (passports) and has re-started currency using (rubles), is re-starting pensions, benefits, and credits [new banks], re-starting education, renewed multi-language use (Ukrainian and Russian) – and so much more.
5. Severely gaining (a win!) and depleting ‘western’ stocks of weapons. And simultaneously exposing both to themselves (western) and others how presently unready, incapable, and unwilling the U.S., NATO, and the EU are to actively re-stock and prepare for or engage with a Russia that, so far, and despite the loss of its own force’s lives, and Ukraine’s, has run its Ukraine SMO (with its allies) with its ‘hands in its pockets’ (for e.g., in its restrained yet effective levels of EW [electronic warfare], levels and kinds of weapons systems employed, number of men and women involved, et al.).
6. Turning the ‘Great Reset’ into the ‘Great Rescue’ (if that).
Most folks say “slow” with an event-horizon in mind no longer than (to be generous), say, 90-days. Russia’s event-horizon (and depths) are far deeper and beyond sight of even the acclaimed ‘Great Reset’ (of WEF /Schwab /Israel / “Rothschilds” /U.S. [and its several competing ‘elite’ players] /NATO / et al. ) – which is turning ever more visibly into the ‘Great Rescue’ as ever more desperately driven and evidenced by the long-term and accelerating preparation for and provisioning of (for short example) SPFS (Russia) and CIPS (China) alternatives to SWIFT, and the new emerging Sergey Glazyev-architected multipolar, multi-lateral finance and economic arrangements.
Underwritten by Russia’s SMO (‘slow’?!?) is as well as the complex emerging configuration and cooperation / ‘unifying’ of the new multi-polar world re-creating capabilities of BRICS, BRICS+, BRI (China’s Belt and Road Initiative formed in 2013, $200 billion spent so far, $60 billion in 2021 alone), SCO, EAEU, SADC, Mercosur, SACU et al. (The Southern African Customs Union (SACU), for example, consists of Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Eswatini. The SACU Secretariat is located in Windhoek, Namibia. SACU was established in 1910, making it the world’s oldest Customs Union).
SWIFT is a global telecommunications network for electronic message exchange between financial institutions. It stands for “Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication” and is the largest international payments network in the world. It is operated by SWIFT SCRL, a company based in La Hulpe, Belgium. The private cooperative is wholly owned by its members, which include around 11,000 banks and other financial institutions in more than 200 countries.
Russia’s SPFS – System for Transfer of Financial Messages – already has more than 400 member banks and handles more than 20 percent of domestic financial communications. The main partner of SPFS is China, whose own cross-border interbank payment system CIPS (Cross-Border Interbank Payment System) is connected to the Russian SPFS. (Dec 2021: While Russia’s SPFS can be three times cheaper than SWIFT, the network itself is only presently operational during weekday working hours and its messages are limited to 20kb in size. SWIFT, meanwhile, works 24/7 and allows 10mb to be transmitted across its network).
On-going plans integrating the Russian SPFS network with the China-based Cross-Border Inter-Bank Payments System (CIPS) continue while the Russian government is also in talks to expand SPFS to developing countries such as Turkey and Iran. Since 2019 many agreements have also been reached to link SPFS to other countries payment systems in China, India, Iran, as well as the countries within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
The EAEU also has Free Trade Agreements with Serbia, Singapore and Vietnam with multiple other deals pending. At the end of 2020, 23 foreign banks connected to the SPFS from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Switzerland]. Furthermore, the EAEU is in discussion with the AfCFTA which formally launched the operational phase (with Nigeria providing the critical mass number) of the “Africa Continental Free Trade Area” in July 2021. The AfCFTA will be the world’s largest free trade area by number of countries (55) once it’s fully up and running.
After years of talks, the goal is to establish a single market for goods and services across all 55 African countries, allow the free movement of business travelers and investments, and create a continental customs union to streamline trade – and attract long-term investment. The agreement is seen critical for growth and job creation for Africa and its 1.27 billion people. Moving into the operational phase last (2021) July was a significant step:
All of the above is much driven by (not at all exclusively) as well as supported by Russia’s presence,”pace” [‘slow’?!?], effects, and progressively effective SMO actions both immediately in and around (economic, political, commercial, financial) Ukraine. Russia’s SMO, its pace, and Russia’s SMO II (‘Special Multi-Polar Operations’ :-)), in conjunction with the negative boomerang effect of US/UK/NATO/5-Eyes et al. 12,000+ sanctions, are both fire-lighting the ‘Great Reset’ (and anything else they want to call that quadrillion-dollar T-Rex derivativ debt) into a futile ‘Great Rescue’ and, paradoxically, also helping to fire-wall Russia and its active allies from its disruptive and deadening effects.
7. Progressively de-militarizing Ukraine – so grindingly and thoroughly so (reading the Russian MoDs regular reports) – it’s deeply sobering, tragically and irrevocably costly (especially in Ukrainian military lives, health, careers, and capabilities), and, as it goes, eye-openingly complete.
8. Russia is “Slow” [Fast!!] in (in part) templating their current response to their own response when sanctions introduced in 2014-2017 accelerated, widened, and deepened their own spectacularly under-appreciated and unreported (except as an “oil station with nukes”) industrial, economic, educational, health and other capabilities.
These results are not overnight, over a month, nor a summer, but in more than 60 fields of interest and endeavor – from making shoes to making chips, to opening 30 engineering/science institutes/schools, to supporting / replacing its commercial air fleets, to ‘X’ – the West’s sanctions / extinctions / torture / and theft have done an incredibly stupid and short-sighted Russian-favoring thing that Russia is rapidly exploiting:
By sanctions, embargoes, and short-sightedness (THAT RUSSIA NEEDS!) in a – wait for it – visibly and experientially exponential technological age (the accelerating ‘now’) – the West has inadvertently ‘decided’ to massively and positively ACCELERATE Russia’s evolution on a civilizational scale – with ever more apparently un-regarded and unforeseen global effects and consequences. Especially for themselves. Oops.
Sanctions / Cut-offs / Shifts away from banks, insurances, trading corridors, partners, etc.; / – i.e., the messy divorce of Russia (and to an increasing degree, China) from the West is turning out to be invaluable and life-essential to insuring / fire-walling Russia from the economic / political fireball the West has ignited in the West.
And – perhaps neither the German Greens, the Anglo-Zionists, Israeli-Khazars, and the rest of the ‘Golden Billion’ tribe – have been paying enough attention to the T-Rex tsunami taking up more and more of their breathing room in its devouring and hungered threat of no-longer-constrained QUADRILLION-dollar debts (that’s “N”x 1,000,000,000,000,000s, where “N” is greater than 1 and fast approaching ‘2’ – from less and less whispered about financial derivatives losses).
Games up! ‘Musical chairs’ (real resources, commodities, agreement-capable parties, etc.) is about to whip the pants off the “Great Reset”. And 9/11, the still emerging and growing Pandemic, Ukraine, and whatever’s ‘What’s Next?’ is/has been accelerated to (impossibly) distract from and avoid what’s about to happen before the new year turns.
[Note: – 000 -thousand, 000,000 – million, 000,000,000 – billion, 000,000,000,000 – trillion; and ‘000,000 000,000,000 – quadrillion].
The West’s “Privatize gains and socialize losses” ‘only’ works when the losses neither threaten nor are not about to wash away ALL the gains, positions, hegemonies, pyramidic histories etc. of those who thought they were the ‘chosen’, ‘golden billion’, ‘elites’ and “in-charge.” ‘Me live by the sword, You die by the sword’ is ever more rapidly making itself clear to the traditional sword wielders (the west) that with the grown-as-large as the derivative debt ‘T-Rex has become, ‘You’ inevitably embraces and irrevocably includes ‘Me’ (elite West) – UNLESS, of course, too late in the day for the current ‘Me’s’ – a set of ‘You’s have been financially, economically, culturally, interactionally etc.12,000+! sanctioned, embargoed, and, thank you, FIREWALLED for survival from the starting to release survival ‘madness’ of the west (and its ‘Golden Billion’) – as the derivative-hungered T-Rex begins to munch and crunch.
“Every battle is won before it is ever fought” said Sun Tzu. The non-agreement-capable (недоговороспособны) western ‘Elites’ – (the ‘Empire(s) of Lies, Illusionists, Tortures, Extinctions, and Sanctions’) – has in its prior actions since 2001 and in its non-response to Russia – over security, Donbass, 5-wave NATO “not an inch more!” expansion, and more – killed its one shield, ‘Trust’ – and forgotten (never learned?) that fact at its peril and in the face of its total demise.
Hence, IMHO the ‘Great Rescue’ is gradually becoming a ‘Great Rescue’, and its present ‘zugzwang’ dynamic in the face of quadrillion-dollar derivative debt can only be met by ‘Hara-Kiri’ moves (acts of ceremonial suicide, formerly practiced in Japan by the Samurai when disgraced or sentenced to death; suicide or any suicidal action; or, simply a suicidal act against one’s own interests). ‘Zugzwang’ is a chess term, where a player must move, but every possible move only worsens their situation. In fact, the west has five possible zugzwang moves (at least):
(i) Bankrupt, decapitate, and divide Russia’. Do the same for China. Failed and failing fantasies written where???
(ii) Wholesale reset: digital identities, money, and health; 24/7/global surveillance; global military bases; etc.;
(iii) Hot War (against China and Russia) – at least ‘enough’ to reset/rewrite the quadrillion-dollar derivative losses books;
(iv) Live on the wrong side (unipolar world) of the ‘FIREWALL’ in a dangerous, disrupted, fractious, protesting, hunting for you world; even if you move to New Zealand;
(v) Surrender, lose hegemony, and go into jail, exile, poverty, disrepute.
This is partly the result of millennial (‘000s, before and since Babylon), and ‘modern’ 500-year-old mind / emotional / thinking-sets and habits [the ‘Wests’] of condemning most and in a technologically exponential age trying to ‘lasso infinity’ while never (as yet) truly appreciating / regarding / re-learning / and-or adapting to and using the always surprising and explosive realities of both natural and man-made histories, complexities, systems, emergences, and more. Not to mention dubbing and believing one’s self ‘Chosen; and all else, trash.
Even the 21st century White House (and Pentagon) still hang/display in their situation room(s) – check out video coverage yourself – ‘current’ global maps which use 500-year old Mercator projections (with the ‘center / weight / focus / and scale of the world’ built on a distorted euro-centric basis) – where Greenland is 14x its size and Africa is relatively shrunk and displaced – which gives visible reason as to why the U.S. senate seriously thought (and said) that sending a 100 hundred U.S. troops into the Congo would ‘make a political / military difference’ (in and on an area ACTUALLY 2/3/ the size of western Europe and 1/4 to 1/3 the size of the continental U.S.).
Russia’s “slow” in Ukraine is actively providing and sustaining an active space-time umbrella under, in which, and certainly beyond, Russian activities and co-operations transforming the SMO as well as Russia’s relationships within itself, and with its many current and new customers, nations, interests, and agencies around the world is taking place.
A “We took Kiev” in a week – the ‘popular’ ‘They’re slow!; ‘Get it on!’ (even if that becomes a military objective) does not and would not continue to generate the forces, reasons, exposures, hara-kiri moves (wests, especially EUs and Japan’s), never mind supports, time, depths and reactions needed to demilitarize, de-nazify, and whatever other specific goals the Russian leadership has in mind (and is, wisely, not sharing with any of us).
9. I could go on, as many of you already have and can, but I believe the general point is sufficiently illustrated:
Russia is accomplishing both gradual changes and revolutionary transformations, and doing so with heart-stopping thoroughness and actually at breath-taking speed, whilst, as many (impatient, short-sighted, short-event horizon-ed, video-game raised(?) etc.) say, “Going too slow!”. Russia is also making errors and losing valued, irreplaceable lives – but ‘LURN’ing (‘Learn, Unlearn, Re-learn, NetChange) – and, still yet, striving to and more or less achieving so (its goals) at seriously reduced injurious and operational levels, at seriously rapid speeds, and with rarely seen-at-scale compassion, honor, and capabilities.
Fantastic analysis and contribution… bravo and many thanks!!
Note – after 90 days of continuous combat nearly all soldiers become incapable of performing combat tasks. That’s why it’s esssential to rotate units in/out after 60 days of continuous combat.
The Kiev formations in Donbass have been in combat for 100 days now. That partly why we are seeing all the signs of collapse.
How valid is the 90 days stat ? The US military did extensive research in WWII and concluded this.
Don’t forget that most of the Ukies are low on ammo, other supplies and food. Their resupply is probably pathetic because everything in the Ukraine gets stolen and sold. Donated food aid has been taken and resold as it shows up in grocery stores in Kyiv and other places.
“Note – after 90 days of continuous combat nearly all soldiers become incapable of performing combat tasks.”
Yes, I read something to the same effect decades ago. Supposedly the very best troops – including special forces – are just as vulnerable to combat fatigue as are average soldiers. The high-end talent definitely has longer shelf life, but inevitably, they burn out too.
I remember reading military commanders don’t like committing their special forces and other high-end talent for combat purposes other than their intended use. It takes time, money, and resources to train elite forces, and the value of that investment will be lost if those troops are assigned tours of duty which could otherwise be performed by average soldiers.
In the 1980s, I read an evaluation of the Afghanistan war which analyzed the performance of Spetznaz commandos. The USSR is believed to have had 40,000 Spetznaz soldiers total, 7,000 of whom did duty in Afghanistan. The author concluded the Soviets could have decisively won the war if all 40,000 Spetznaz were sent to Afghanistan. But allegedly that didn’t happen because the Soviets intended Spetznaz to be used against NATO or China, and didn’t want to burn out these valuable soldiers by assigning them lower priority combat such as killing off Afghan mujihadeen.
I guess troops in combat are like cars. They can endure only so much wear and tear before their effectiveness erodes.
Indeed – What the US Army discovered after extensive real life research in WWII was basically no soldier gets ‘battle hardened’. They may become accomplished and talented at their task with experience but effectiveness drops steadily from day 30 to 90 days of continuous combat.
This 90 day limit might be extended if the units are in fortified Maginot Line style positions. Just a guess.
90 days is just about the outer limit even for elite high morale units. For gangpressed Volksturm, geez, limit might be a few days.
The plane I was in was getting ready to land in La Paz-Bolivia, so the pilot asked us to get ready for landing at “John F. Kennedy International Airport.” For some reason, La Paz changed the name of this airport from El Alto to that English name. Seated in front of me were three DEA agents. You should have seen how they looked at each other upon hearing that and started to laugh (it was just that city that did it). It is funny.
Now I hear that Moscow gives to a new and special military unit the name “Wagner PMC.” Won’t some Ukrainians and Germans think that’s funny, even some Muscovites? Does the ‘scandal’ (really) stay hushed like in Bolivia or, like there, only causes irritation in some private patriotic homes? How is it over there? I don’t know. There is something funny about it too…I don’t believe it exists.

I hope that Lisichansk cauldron gets closed up quick. Rumor has it that some of zelstein’s regime reps are trapped there, among a bunch of foreign mercs.
Lisichansk is also the last toehold the Zelensky regime has in Lugansk oblast, now that they’ve lost Severodonetsk.

————————————————————————-
You’re correct, they do deserve that medal.
As for who they are, you already read my comment addressing the subject. The comment above yours quotes Lavrov in a press conference stating the obvious, “yes, Wagner PMC is a private company, with no connections to the Russian government.” Plausible deniability at its best.
And yes, they are not mercenaries, even though they are, by the nature of their role in Russia’s security apparatus, portrayed as such. I am sure though, they have a higher salary than the common enlisted soldier, same way Spetsnatz are better paid than others.
Putin, and the Russian military establishment, will not honor a vulgar mercenary organization with the “Heroes of Russia” medal.

Things get even more surreal, I’ve just read a report at ZeroHedge that the G-7 are considering banning imports of Russian gold. There’s a lively discussion by the commenters there!
Given the reaction of other commodity prices to sanctions and embargoes, this move has got to be playing with fire. Disrupting the global gold markets is hugely risky for the Empire’s manipulative pricing practices.
I don’t know what its current policy is, but my previous understanding was that the Central Bank of Russia was a net buyer of gold anyway, so sanctions on sales would have limited physical effect there. Other banks and investors may not be so sanguine…
can anyone knows what Russians hit in the glorious Kyiv ??????

Voenkor Kitten Z
Military expert Boris Rozhin with a brief summary of the results of the operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine at 23.45 on June 26, 2022, especially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
1.
Severodonetsk.
The control of the entire territory on the northern bank of the Seversky Donets was officially announced.
Nevertheless, according to the LPR law enforcement agencies, up to 1,000 enemy soldiers remain in the industrial zone and forest plantations, who could not retreat or dressed in civilian clothes, trying to blend in with the civilian population. There are also foreign mercenaries among them.
The remnants of the Severodonetsk grouping, which retreated to Lisichansk, are now either being used to defend Lisichansk, or are gradually being pulled towards Seversk, while such an opportunity still exists.
2.
Lisichansk.
The cleanup of Volcheyarovka has been completed. The enemy rolled back to Lisichansk. There are fights at the Lisichansk refinery and in Belaya Gora. There are battles for Verkhnekamenka, the retention of which is critically important for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since in the event of its loss, the proposed withdrawal to Seversk could become a big problem.
The Seversk-Lysichansk highway is under the fire control of the RF Armed Forces. The enemy will have to solve the problem of the operational encirclement of the entire Lisichansk grouping.
3.
Soledar.
Intensive fighting in Belogorovka, Berestovoye and in the Nikolayevka area near the Artemovsk-Soledar-Lysichansk highway. This road for the APU is completely lost.
4.
Artemovsk.
Fighting in Klinovoe and in the direction of Pokrovsky. The Armed Forces of Ukraine note the accumulation of forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Artemovsk direction and are waiting for the start of the assault on the city, but I believe that until our troops reach Soledar from the north, the assault on Artemovsk will not begin directly.
There are no changes near Kodema and Semigorye, as well as in the area of Novolugansk and Uglegorsk TPPs.
5.
Golden.
They report on the continuation of the cleansing of the territory of the boiler and active filtration measures, since a significant number of enemy soldiers, as in Severodonetsk, mixes with the local population. Those who were able to retreat from the cauldron are mostly now either in the Lisichansk area, or have retreated to Seversk and Artemovsk.
6.
Avdiivka.
On the front to the north of the village without significant changes – positional battles are going on, as well as near New York. There is no significant progress here.
The enemy continues to shell Donetsk, Makiivka and other settlements, but somewhat less intensively than a week ago, after hitting artillery and MLRS positions. Today there were powerful blows to Avdiivka. In addition to terrorist shelling, the enemy continues to target roadblocks and warehouses using Western weapons and OTRK (including targets in the depths of the DPR and LPR.
7.
Slavyansk.
Fights near the Valley, Krasnopolye and Mazanovka.
Fights near Sidorov, Prishib and Tatyanovka. According to Slavyansko – The Kramatorsk agglomeration is under attack
8.
Ugledar.
Intense fighting continued in the area of Pavlovka and Yegorovka, but the enemy was unable to develop success after entering Pavlovka. Nevertheless, attempts to completely oust our troops from the Yegorovka area will certainly continue.
9.
Serpentine.
The enemy attacked the Tavrida drilling rig (the platform was damaged), and also continued attacks on the island, which were repulsed (1 Su-25 was shot down).
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine promises to continue the confrontation for Snake Island.
10.
Nikolaev.
On the Nikolaev, Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions without significant changes. In fact, there is no “attack on Kherson” – fuss continues in the villages between Nikolaev and Kherson.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Black Sea Fleet continue to inflict regular strikes on military facilities and concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in Nikolaev and the Krivoy Rog region.
11.
Odessa, Izyum, Marinka, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv – no changes.

I couldn’t find anything supporting war is on’s claims. Just a post about how an apartment building that was struck was vacant and the story about a woman and her child being rescued was staged white helmets type BS:
‼️🇺🇦🏴☠️Rocket attack on Kyiv: what really happened?
The Kiev regime is increasingly similar to the terrorists from the Syrian Jabhat al-Nusra, not only by the methods of war, but also by creating fakes in the best traditions of the White Helmets .
Kyiv began to actively disperse the “missile attack on a residential building” and the overwhelmed woman with a Russian passport. But here’s what propagandists don’t talk about:
1. The strike was made on the Artem defense plant, which is located just behind this house.
2. The damaged house in Lvovsky Kvartal residential complex was non-residential – the residents were resettled after it suffered from a similar strike on the plant on April 29.
3. Damage to the house itself is too minor for a Caliber strike, i.e. it is either fragments or the result of an air defense missile falling.
4. A total of 14 missiles were fired at Kyiv today. Why don’t they show the results of hits of 13 more missiles?
5. How did the propagandist Gerashchenko almost immediately have the passport of a woman who was then buried under the rubble? Did the rescuers save her passport first?

I thank you very much.
Problem with posting comments without links to back up made assertions, is that one cannot verify them.
Clown Zelensky has nothing else but to surpass Goebbels, the bigger the lie, the more credible.
Hopefully Russia will start clocking his movements, and target his surroundings. Until now, he has been pretending he’s a head of state, welcoming visitors. It is about time to clobber Kiev with non-stop visits from Comrade Kalibr, until they stop shelling Donetsk.

“If you take a look at that MoD Report it is becoming so clear that the attrition rate now is counted in brigades.”
I’ve known from the beginning that unsustainably high casualties would be the Ukrainian army’s downfall. The only question concerns the time frame. Even when the Nazis were winning in the north, the time clock was winding down. Only the world’s largest armies can retain combat effectiveness over the medium and long term in spite of such losses. The Ukraine’s not a member of that exclusive club. But Russia is.
Concerning these bloody wars of attrition, the problem isn’t that an army will run out of soldiers. Reservists can always be mobilized and sent into the meat grinder, to replace fallen comrades. The real problem in these wars is that an army’s first rate troops are not easily replaced. That’s the danger. When the best soldiers are dead, disabled, or suffering from combat fatigue, then inferior military material will inherit their responsibilities. That’s when things go wrong at the war front.
The longer the war lasts, the more likely an army will eventually be comprised of politically unreliable or militarily inadequate soldiers. At that point the balance of power between the belligerents can shift, sometimes decisively.
Historical examples:
1) In 1812, Napoleon invaded Russia with the most professional, combat effective army the world had even known. The French fought their way to Moscow, beating the Russians in a series of casualty intensive and indecisive battles. But Napoleon’s army arrived in that city as a badly beaten-up victor. Many of his best troops had fallen, and much of his cavalry dismounted due to loss of horses. The French couldn’t risk another major battle without first receiving reinforcements and resupply, which was impossible given their closest supply depots were located hundreds of miles to the rear. Therefore the balance of power shifted decisively in favor of the Russians, who despite having lost many battles, had just been massively reinforced and resupplied.
2) When the Russians pursued the gutted, weakened French army during the latter’s chaotic retreat from Moscow, they did not risk pitched battle with Napoleon. This despite the Russian army being fully manned, gunned, equipped, and fed. That is because, at this stage of the war, 60% of Russian troops were hastily trained teenagers pressed into service to replace veterans who had been killed while stalling Napoleon’s advance on Moscow. These Russian conscripts had never been exposed to battle, and had not yet been trained to maneuver under fire. Hence, Russian commander Kutuzov limited his pursuit of Napoleon to constant Cossack raids and made no attempt to cut-off and destroy the remnants of the French army.
3) In late 1916, the German and Russian armies were stalemated on the Eastern Front. But after two and a half years of horrifically high losses, the Russians had burned through their supply of first-rate fighters and politically reliable soldiers. By the winter of 1916-17, the reservists sent to the front consisted increasingly of men who had been radicalized by revolutionary sentiment and propaganda. That’s when the Russian army disintegrated from within as the Germans held back and watched.
My guess is the Ukrainian military is destined to experience something analogous to my third example. That’s when the war will end.

Unfortunately XXI century war is a lot different.
Just read an article in Military Chronicle highlighting the absolute need for technology in the modern battlefield.
https://voenhronika.ru/publ/vojna_na_ukraine/poslednie_video_s_ukrainy_na_komandovanie_vsu_v_lisichanske_objavlena_okhota_svodki_jurij_podoljaka_20_video/60-1-0-12446
Latest videos from UKRAINE. A hunt has been declared for the AFU command in Lisichansk! Summary of Yuri Podolyaka (20 videos)
“…The SVO in Ukraine has eloquently demonstrated that in future conflicts, the role of reconnaissance and strike complexes will grow rapidly and only the weak will ignore this factor in military construction. The simplest RUC (reconnaissance and strike complex) is a bundle of an artillery battery and a group of reconnaissance drones.
The UAV detects the target, the battery receives coordinates and deals fire damage. The less time that passes from the moment of detection to the moment of defeat, the more efficiently the system works. But in the modern world, the work of air defense and radio-electronic warfare tools comes to the fore, respectively, if the enemy forms a layered air defense system, and even crushes electronic warfare, then problems begin. And here the fun begins. The interface must be multi-level.
In addition to drones, radar stations, artillery reconnaissance systems, space and special forces forces with tactical reconnaissance equipment should work on strike vehicles. In theory, there is already such interaction in many armies and, of course, in the Russian Army. But the time of passing information from scouts to specialists in fire damage is the main measure of effectiveness, well, in addition to the accuracy of strikes.
Communications equipment on the battlefield needs to be upgraded. And there is a great way here. One of the ways that allows you to reduce the upgrade time. See what they offer civilian smarts and twist to military standards. In general, often, civilian nerds offer amazing things that the military can only dream of. (Poddubny)

It was Andrei Martyanov who recommended that paper, which is by now outdated, and he suggested it only as an intro to modern Russia’s military. He’s a man I highly respect on military matters, I watch or listen to his videos (while driving), and read his blog, Reminiscence of the Future.

Re: your comment,
“…I familiarized myself with some of Grau’s evaluations of the Russian army written shortly before this year’s war. But, obviously, he failed to forecast their tactical and operational difficulties in northern Ukraine during the first six weeks of combat. Based on Grau’s fairly high opinion of Russian abilities, they should have smoked the Ukrainians quickly and efficiently. But it didn’t happen…”
I would suggest you watch Martyanov’s latest video, posted here on the Saker’s blog,
/mixed-bag-june-22/
Mixed Bag
where he addresses questions re: the non-stop shelling of Donetsk and surroundings, and Russia’s reasons behind what many consider “slow pace of the war,” the main reason being Russia did not launch the SMO to kill their own people, but to save them. Russia did not enter Ukraine with a scorched earth policy, differently from the UkroWerhmacht and their razing thousands of towns for no other reason they are Russians.
Russia, Martyanov said, could have turned Ukraine into a parking lot in a couple of hours.
That’s not her goal.
Also, re: your comment,
“…I’ll take a look at this book you recommend. But I’m weak concerning anything high-tech, so those aspects of Grau’s analysis seem like a blur.
My personal interest is tsarist era Russian military history, particularly the 19th century. Many of my ancestors made their careers in the Russian army during those times…”
On the technology gap, you have a lot to catch up from the tsarist era military history to now. Here is an interview with Martyanov, where he explains the combined arms concept in a modern army, C4ISR [Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance], and other subjects, very much in sink with the lessons learning from the SMO Military Chronicle reports on above, just in case you’re interested.

I do believe Russia is moving in a way so as to reduce Ukranian civilian casualties. Good! Unfortunately they don’t seem to care much about the civilian casualties in Donetsk.
“Unfortunately they don’t seem to care much about the civilian casualties in Donetsk.”

We’ve learned that there is no “safe zone” anywhere in Ukraine. If US or NATO troops began arriving there, they wouldn’t even make it to the front lines before they would all be dead. They would have to first come in full force with aircraft and missiles, or else just stay home.

❗️Georgian mercenaries who tortured the Russian military were destroyed in Ukraine
Yesterday, during the fighting, 3 km from the Lisichansk Oil Refinery, Russian units destroyed 2 sabotage and reconnaissance groups of mercenaries (a total of 14 militants) – the first consisted of citizens of European countries, the second included only mercenaries from Georgia, who were part of the “Georgian Legion”, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Destroyed Georgian militants are involved in the brutal torture and killings of Russian servicemen near Kiev in March, the ministry said.
“The Russian Ministry of Defense has information on every mercenary involved in the abuse and murder of our servicemen. We found them and punished them,” the department stressed.

Thanks for all your work keeping us updated.
By all means, it looks Lysichansk is lost.
The beast (no offense to the beasts) is turning in itself, neo-nazis don’t trust the “foreign legions” and end up killing them for whatever reasons. They found incinerated bodies in Mariupol, which has turned into Pandora’s box of atrocities, and next to them a pile of half-burned documents, among them a US driver license. The report says the neo-nazis believe the useful idiots who come to fight for “Slavia Ukraine” might talk and reveal either secrets or their atrocities to the public.
Glad they took care of those Georgian psychopaths.
Hope the ammunition factories in Russia keep on working 24/7, useful idiots keep on coming to Ukraine from everywhere. Just watched an interview with a French “volunteer” who revealed there are Lithuanians, Estonians, Japanese, Georgians, South Koreans, Polish, and of course, from all countries in Eurostan, plus a sizable amount of taqfiris who, given the racism of the neo-nazis in Ukraine, might be treated like trash.
Keep on trucking, Russian Bear.

This brief report from Colonelcassad – are there any other even non-official sources for this yet?
… “4. There are reports that 21 IDF fighters were captured at Azovstal. They were exchanged through the United Arab Emirates – Israel in exchange for them agreed to minimize the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and also transferred to Russia the territory of the Alexander Metochion in Jerusalem for indefinite use. Officially, this topic was not commented on in any way.”
…
The matter of the Alexander Metochion has been rumbling along since 1917,
See https://tass.com/politics/1142387 as of April 2020:
“Israel’s friendly stance was very much appreciated by both Russian believers and the church. As far as we understand, difficulties have now arisen because of the judicial appeal by one of the parties against that. Of course, we hope that Israel will remain committed to its decision to transfer that metochion. That’s very important to us,” Peskov emphasized.
On January 23, Israeli Minister of Environmental Protection and Co-Chairman of the Russian-Israeli intergovernmental commission Ze’ev Elkin said that Israel had begun the legal process of registering the Alexander Metochion in the name of Russia in response to Moscow’s request.
On April 7, The Marker Israeli newspaper reported that the Jerusalem District Court had suspended the registration until the lawsuit hearing was completed.
The Alexander Metochion is located in the Old City of Jerusalem in close proximity to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The Threshold of the Judgement Gate and the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky are located on its territory. The land for its construction was purchased by Russian Emperor Alexander II in 1859. The compound was built by the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society in 1896. The controversy surrounding its ownership began after the 1917 Revolution in Russia.
Two points:
1. The zombies of the G7 (see how I got to use the letter Z in there) have come up with another “cunning” plan to harm Russia. They want to add a tariff to anything they import from Russia to cut down on Russia’s profit from those sales. They don’t seem to realize that the things they import from Russia are things that they must import from Russia. Which gives Russia the whip hand in that situation. Russia could easily add a special tax to all products they sell to unfriendly states (which they should do) to make up for those tariffs.
https://www.rt.com/business/557897-us-import-tariffs-russian-goods/
2. As I lamented the other day the Ukie’s are conducting a terror campaign in the liberated territories. Now the Kiev nazis are bragging about it and publicly admitting their terrorist actions. In my thinking that if nothing else should earn anyone involved in those actions. From the higher bigwigs in Kiev,to the lowest terrorists on the ground in those territories, the death penalty. But from the abysmal response that has been shown so far,who knows. But at the very least the Russian/LDNR/liberated territories authorities should announce that now.

Latest From Military Chronicle:
“Lysichansky cauldron” will be LIQUIDATED by the end of the week! The latest reports and videos from Ukraine – the evening of June 27 (17 videos)
The affairs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Lisichansk are very bad. Volcheyarovka confidently passed under the control of the Allied Forces. For the second day now, fighting has been going on on the southern outskirts of Lisichansk, in the area of the gelatin factory. Perhaps it will be possible to completely liberate the city from the Nazis by the end of this week, – said Vitaly Kiselev, assistant to the head of the LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Units of the 25th air brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted a counterattack on Volcheyarovka in order to prevent the closing of the encirclement north of the village. The attack was repulsed: fighting continues in Maloryazantsevo north of Volcheyarovka.
Assault units of the RF Armed Forces, with the support of army aviation, broke through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine west of Volcheyarovka and occupied part of the territory of the Lisichansk Oil Refinery. Fighting is taking place in the western part of the refinery and the village of Verkhnekamenka with units of the 25th brigade, 24th brigade and 17th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The fighting in Maloryazantsevo and at the oil refinery actually means a narrowing of the encirclement around the Severodonetsk-Lisichanskaya group. It is now possible to leave the outlined cauldron along the only remaining road along the banks of the Seversky Donets through Belogorovka, which is under the fire control of the RF Armed Forces. In Lisichansk, fighting is going on on the southern outskirts in the area of the RTI plant, Belaya Gora and a glass factory.
Fierce battles unfolded behind the settlement. Berestovoe, there is also movement towards Verkhnekamenka and the neighboring Lisichansk Oil Refinery. The only escape route for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is through Seversk, but even there fire control of the road is carried out. The collapse of the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction can be a “point of no return” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which can launch a “domino effect” in all key areas. It is quite possible to throw allied forces at Bakhmut in the near future.
The Russian Aerospace Forces with four high-precision missiles attacked the Artem plant in Kyiv, which produces ammunition for the MLRS. All four missiles hit their target. The object is hit. The civil infrastructure of the city of Kyiv was not affected. When repelling a missile attack, S-300 anti-aircraft missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down in the air by Ukrainian Buk M1.
As part of the counter-battery fight in the Donetsk direction, the following were hit: 3 platoons of the Grad MLRS, a platoon of 155-mm howitzers M-777, 2 artillery platoons of 152-mm howitzers “Gyatsint”, as well as 2 platoons of self-propelled guns 2S1 “Gvozdika”.
To date, a total of 15 prisoner exchange operations have been carried out: the parties were small, in total more than 300 people returned. And it would seem that the process has been debugged: negotiations have already begun on the exchange of 140 for 140, the lists are being coordinated. And then two events happened: the collapse of the “cauldron” in Gorsky and Zolote, as well as the fall of Severodonetsk. A huge number of Ukrainian servicemen and representatives of the territorial defense were taken prisoner. And the exchange process has stalled: the number of captured military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the LDNR is incommensurate with the number of captured Ukrainians.
Therefore, now the exchange process has significantly slowed down, because in Ukraine they decided to change not everyone in a row, but selectively. Only through official channels, the Ukrainian side requested confirmation of the presence of over 15,000 Ukrainian servicemen in captivity. The real numbers are much higher. The Kyiv regime wants to change only officers and fighters from Azov. But such an exchange does not occur for obvious reasons.
A Sitrep posted a couple of weeks ago made an important point, saying that a senseless war is dehumanizing and that we ourselves can become dehumanized by war. One should stay aware of how that dehumanization takes place. Well, it takes place if you observe a war like you watch a Football game, a Soccer game. That’s right. Once you do that, you’re done for. For example, war reporting is normal, but writing “enjoy” is not (dehumanizing).
Yesterday, I learned something important about the war. Sec. Blinken said in Poland to all reporters, and one-on-one to Jack Tapper of CNN in an interview, that Russia is not winning because it lost the “strategic” objective, which he defined as the complete conquest and absorption of all of Ukraine into Russia; this is just now directly stated so. It means that the United States is not intervening today in Ukraine to fight a proxy war to the “last Ukrainian.” It is not clear if that was the objective in the first three months of the conflict, but even back then there were other possibilities. As the NYT reported a day or two, there was a widespread belief back then that Russia could be forced to return to the boundaries it had prior to February. Blinken has made explicit what is also implicit in the “stalemate” objective announced before. The war is not over, though. Blinken is like moving ahead of himself. Like so much that he says, it is wrong to speak in that way. In other words, he is saying to Russia that it loses if it doesn’t make all of Ukraine part of Russia, and that it will be treated as the real loser if it ends like that. Does anyone think it is smart to say that, or is he speaking improperly again like he spoke to the Chinese in Alaska, possibly even changing the history of the world after that? China and Russia never spoke or acted the same afterwards.
The stated – published in the NYT – goal is to get a stalemate in the war in order to negotiate with a strong hand. It makes more sense to start negotiating now and sign when there’s an agreement. To define in public what “strategic” victory and defeat are in the war is not really the job, is it? Even the term “strategic victory” implies a right timing for using it, because “strategies” implies surprise, privacy or secrecy. His definition of it may complicate the negotiations scenario. It provokes, as it basically says to Russia, “conquer all of Ukraine if you really want to win.”

Thank you, amarynth.
Our in-house NYT/Moscow Times/WaPo marketeer is hellbent in making relevant another neo-con zombie, who, this late into the game, and along with others, has been dumped into the trash bin of history. Blinken et al have lost all leverage into the new historical roads that Russia as the pathfinder is opening for humanity to walk.
For all purposes, vis-a-vis the new paradigm being created, the West is dead. Now we are dealing with the zombies and their pointless, impertinent interference with the creation of a new paradigm, their inconsequential statements reproduced by presstitutes, and made “important” by those who cannot distinguish trifle from substance.
Lone Wolf
When you set the goals of your enemy, you can always move the goalposts and claim the enemy has failed.
A year from now Blinken will say, “Putin has failed to capture Berlin, which was his goal. Putin has not achieved his goal and thus has failed. Blinken can further move the goalposts to “City of London”.at a future point.
Good point. The bad thing is that now, by mentioning Blinken, you too are “hellbent in making relevant another neo-con zombie, who, this late into the game, and along with others, has been dumped into the trash bin of history” (Lone Wolf to amarynth). Blinken is in our same trench. We have been thrown in together, he for being himself and we for criticizing him. Maybe Zakharova, too, could be thrown in also. All of RT too.
Anyone remember that flurry of “news stories” about how Putin was desperate to “end the war” by May 9th?
What a krok!
Novichok gonna get you! Not!
Lavrov pays close attention to everything Blinken says. Why, it’s his job. The two sides continue to communicate. They want to avoid a nuclear conflict above all. Zakharova speaks at length regarding their declarations. I don’t know if the Russian government has responded to Blinken or if it will. Watching their reaction will be significant; it’s all significant. We can be grateful that they continue to talk and wish for the quality of their communication to improve.
In part of the gaming Russia will have planned taking all of the Ukraine. Likely the second to last plan. The most ambitious but most secure. After the Ukrainian negotiators were shot, and the Turkish peace talks failed Russia would have been forced to consider that plan. Shortly after that, Ms Elinsky said, “yes, to negotiations, but only after Russia withdraws from the LDNR and leaves Crimea”. Call Blinky what you want, he sees the writing on the wall. This is a fight for Russia’s existence.
Cheers M
You may be right on those priorities, but I give more weight to what Putin himself said about that twice and on camera.
I don’t believe Blinken sees it a “fight for Russia’s existence.”
He is talking as if a stalemate had already been produced. There is no “stalemate” yet. Germany conquered all of Ukraine. It’s too early for him to be sure that Russia cannot do so, but he is already speaking as if he were sure. Everybody else seems to be noticing that Russia is winning a lot (the whole East). Well, my comment was about his announcements.
Blinken is the poster child of the limits of ethnic nepotism. BTW – Blinken and Ghislaine Maxwell grew up together. Hmmmm
“Blinken and Ghislaine Maxwell grew up together.”
Hope you share the main info. you have on that. It’s a world of “connections” besides poor judgment from Biden that placed Blinken in such a position (obviously). The “Republicans vs. Democrats” political struggles don’t give opportunity for a seasoned person like Lavrov to emerge. As I think you know, this political fight has become a huge problem that is threatening the basic unity of the country. I don’t it’s fair to blame Trump for it – he only showed the problem more clearly. The political fight between the two makes those who long ago said that that’s not what real democracy should consist of, look really good now. Without this political fight, there probably could be a great functionary there instead. John Kerry was better at the (FM) job than Pompeo and Blinken. Lavrov respected him. It would have been much better for Trump to invite him to stay, but Kerry is a “Democrat.” Biden should have placed him back in the same position, but for electoral purposes (same thing) made him an environment Zar type figure and picked Blinken. It’s so bad that he picked others because of skin color and let it be known that other races and even genders would not be taken into account in his choosing! At that point, one says, “There’s a worm on the wall.” “Es gibt einen Wurm an der Wand.”
Russia is wisely using this war to do live dire exercises with all their units, even if not really needed. This helps to ensure that NATO is up against a well trained veteran military, whose equipment has been tested and whose soldiers know how to operate it.
on canada: there have been “special forces” in ukraine since 2014 (and probably before). apparently they’re “special” in the sense of “special olympics”. or at least they will be after catching a mortar. the next country they screw about in better have a wheelchair ramp.

maybe if everyone in the donbass says they “identify” as russian and tells the US to “check its privilege” the media will tilt their way.

“Russia should brace for “attacks and sabotage operations” within its territory, Ukrainian military intelligence head Kirill Budanov told the Financial Times over the weekend. He mentioned the murder of a local official in Kherson Region as an example of these attacks, which was treated as an act of terrorism by the city’s authorities.”
“Partisan activities” have been emerging within the territories Russia seized since the start of its military operation in Ukraine in late February, Budanov said, pointing to two explosions in Kherson Region, which borders Crimea, Russia.
“According to Budanov, these types of attacks will not be limited to territory that was once under Ukrainian control. Attacks and sabotage operations “are held everywhere, and they were and will be held in Russia and many other places,” he told the Financial Times. He did not say if Kiev is behind any of the incidents.”

“…The Russian Aerospace Forces with four high-precision missiles attacked the Artem plant in Kiev , which produces ammunition for the MLRS.
All four missiles reached their target . The object is hit. The civil infrastructure of the city of Kiev was not damaged .
When repelling a missile attack, S-300 anti-aircraft missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down in the air by Ukrainian Buk M1. Presumably one of the downed anti-aircraft missiles fell on a residential building…”
—————————————
This part of the report did not make sense on the translation, and needs to be clarified, as the Ukronazis are already using it as a “Russian attack on innocent civilians.”
In a nutshell, the issue is,
“…Ukrainian military personnel do not fully understand the key principles of air defense systems…”
And this is what actually happened.
https://m.vz.ru/politics/2022/6/27/1165018.html
Ukrainian air defense forces destroy Kiev with “friendly fire”
The Ukrainian military destroyed a residential building in the center of Kiev with their own missiles. As reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, when repelling an attack by Russia on a military plant, one Ukrainian air defense system shot down missiles of another system. As a result, one of them fell on a residential building and exploded. All the Russian missiles hit the target. Why does the tactic of protecting military facilities lead to such mistakes by the AFU air defense units…?
“…On June 26, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a strike with four high-precision air-launched missiles on the workshops of the Artem rocket and Construction Corporation in the Shevchenko district of Kiev. This enterprise produced ammunition for Ukrainian multiple launch rocket systems, ” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
“The Kiev regime made attempts to intercept Russian high-precision missiles with anti-aircraft weapons stationed in the city. Ukrainian crews of the S-300 and Buk M1 anti-aircraft missile systems used more than 10 anti-aircraft missiles. Due to the lack of interfacing of air defense launchers and radio equipment located in urban areas, two S-300 anti-aircraft missiles were shot down in the air by Ukrainian Buks. Presumably, one of the downed anti-aircraft missiles fell on a residential building, ” the Defense Ministry said.
At the same time, this is not the first time that due to the work of the Ukrainian air defense system, missiles or rocket fragments fall into residential buildings in Kiev. In late February, the media reported that the Russian military allegedly attacked a multi-storey building on Lobanovsky Avenue. The Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the nature of damage to the building, which indicates that an anti-aircraft missile hit it, and thereby denied the involvement of the Russian Armed Forces in this incident.
Similar cases were also recorded in the districts Darnitsa and Kurenevki. In addition, in March and April, rocket attacks were also carried out on the same Artyom plant, as a result of which the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of some production buildings of the enterprise by high-precision long-range weapons. That is, this goal is well known to the Russian military, as well as the objects located around it.
“As for the actions of the Ukrainian air defense systems, the lack of coupling, which was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry, is a huge problem and a risk, first of all, for the people of Kiev themselves. It’s like trying to connect an analog TV to a digital broadcast. Without a special prefix, this cannot be done, ” military historian and director of the Air Defense Forces Museum Yuri Knutov told VZGLYAD newspaper.
“S-300s come in several versions. And if some are designed to protect troops, then others are designed to protect stationary objects. There is no direct compatibility between them, and they cannot dock automatically. This can only be done manually. And if you do it incorrectly, then serious mistakes are possible, which lead to incorrect capture and firing of targets, ” the expert said.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have long concentrated air defense forces not around the perimeter of Kiev to protect civilian infrastructure, but inside the city’s districts in order to protect specific military facilities, factories and enterprises. “The problem is that they are located in a residential area. And in the case of the Buks, the missile is first fired into a certain square, and only then the semi-active homing head is turned on. And until the head is activated, the rocket is not controlled, so it can easily hit a residential building, ” the source says. It is worth noting that the situation when troops conduct erroneous fire on their own, in the military environment is called “friendly fire”. One of its causes is an error in aiming.
The purpose of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “in this case is obvious,” the expert says. “Official Kiev, paradoxically, uses the people of Kiev as a human shield. The Ukrainian leadership does this specifically to blame Russia for the destruction of civilian infrastructure. The same applies to the story of a Russian woman who was the victim of unprofessional actions of the Ukrainian military, ” he explained. Experts interviewed by VZGLYAD newspaper also believe that
Ukrainian military personnel do not fully understand the key principles of air defense systems.
“So, the operational duty officer of a regiment, division or air defense corps, who has the right to give an order to fire in the absence of the brigade commander, accepts a work card when going on combat duty. It shows the points within the boundaries of responsibility of this unit, the destruction of which cannot be allowed, ” explains the former head of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Special Forces Command of the Russian Air Force, Sergey Khatylev.
“These data should certainly be taken into account when firing combat missiles. And in the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such a task is not set – they shoot anywhere. They don’t care what is on the ground – a special object or a civilian quarter,” Khatylev said. In addition, according to him, “during live firing, all regiments and units adjacent to this compound must communicate with each other through the operational service.”
———————————
Poor Ukrainians, at the mercy of idiots, who are just shooting at hypersonic missiles without understanding the basic principles of their air defense systems. They shot their S-300 and their Buk-M1 systems at the same time, without interfacing/coupling their systems, in a vain attempt to shot down incoming Kalibr missiles, which they cannot shut down anyway,
The result, two S-300 missiles were shot down by Buk-M1s, one exploded in a residential area.
Clown Zelensky, however, just requested more air-defense systems at his appearance at the G-7 circus.
How about a slingshot?

Sorry I cannot clarify your misunderstanding, I am not a ballistic missile expert, and all information we have was provided by the Russian MoD, very brief, mind you, and articles in the Russian press.
Not to worry, you’re not alone.
The Ukronazis have a clear misunderstanding about the usage of their own air defense systems.
They used their Buk-M1 to shoot down their S-300 while aiming (sort of) at the Russian missiles.
At least we can have no doubt about their accuracy shooting their own.
If that is not a misunderstanding, I don’t know what is…

The Ukies are accurate enough when the target is a Malaysian Airlines passenger plane.
What is it with the US and it’s nasty vassals about shooting civilian planes out of the sky?
Mikael, I think you think BUK is a Russian missile, but in this present situation:
Russia fires a few Kalibr missiles
One group of Ukrainers fires lots of S-300 missiles
Another group of Ukrainers fires lots of Buk-M1s
The Kalibrs are very fast and nothing hits them. They hit their targets.
Ukraine’s missiles are flying everywhere and two Buk-M1s hit two S-300 missiles. That big mess falls to the ground and one of the S-300s exploded in a residential area.
Ukraine shot itself. It blew up some Ukrainians’ houses.
Same as for the last eight years in the Donbass, except this time it wasn’t deliberate.

Military expert Boris Rozhin with a brief summary of the results of the operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on 23.10 June 27, 2022 especially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
1.
Severodonetsk.
Most of the civilians held hostage were taken out of the territory of the Azot plant. The plant itself will continue to operate after restoration.
Combing of the industrial zone and forest plantations near Borovsky and Sirotino continues. Filtration measures are activated.
A direct assault on Lisichansk from Severodonetsk is not expected – the bridges have been destroyed + Lisichansk itself is on a hill. The intensity of the shelling of Severodonetsk fell – the main efforts of the enemy artillery are applied to hold the front near Lisichansk.
2.
Lisichansk.
Fights for Verkhnekamenka, Lisichansk refinery and factories on the southern outskirts of the city.
Fights for the White Mountain.
The neck of the Lisichansk cauldron – up to 8 km. The real route to Seversk is now only through Belogorovka, but this road is already under fire from Russian artillery. Ukrainian propaganda is already preparing society for the surrender of Lisichansk. The LPR says the city will be liberated by the end of the week.
3.
Artemovsk.
Fighting in Klinovoye and in the Pokrovsky area. The enemy strengthened the defense of the city by rotating the battered brigades defending the city. The pressure of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Artemovsk will intensify in the near future, but without the capture of Pokrovsky, a direct assault on the city is unlikely to begin.
In the area of Svetlodarsk, there are no significant changes so far.
4.
Soledar.
Fighting at Berestovo, Belogorovka and near the Lisichansk-Artemovsk highway in the Nikolaevka area.
After the loss of Lisichansk, Soledar will become an element of the Soledar-Seversk defensive line, on which the Armed Forces of Ukraine will try to hold the front north of Artemovsk. After the capture of Lisichansk, it is worth waiting for an offensive in the direction of Seversk and Soledar from the north.
5.
Kharkov.
Positional battles in the area of Tsupovka, Uda, Dementyevka, Upper Passages and Upper Saltovka. The enemy is almost completely on the defensive. The fire destruction of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kharkov and Chuguev is intensifying. They are also probing the Zolochev area.
6.
Slavyansk.
Fights at the Valley, Krasnopolye, Bogorodichny, Prishib and Sidorovo. The enemy notes some advance of the RF Armed Forces towards Slavyansk. The fire destruction of enemy forces in the Seversk area is also intensifying.
On the Izyum direction without significant changes.
7.
Avdiivka.
At the front without significant changes. As before, fights in the industrial complex, on the Avdiivka-Konstantinovka highway and on the outskirts of New York.
Counter-battery work is intensifying, which, however, has not yet stopped the shelling of the cities of Donbass. Today there were civilians killed and wounded again.
8.
Serpentine.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine claim that as a result of the shelling of Zmeinny Island, they were able to hit the Pantsir air defense missile system. No other successes are reported. It is stated that Zelensky gave the order to try to recapture Serpentine from the RF Armed Forces in 2 weeks. Apparently in other areas the chances of a “counteroffensive” are even less.
9.
Nikolaev.
Positional battles in the Nikopol, Krivoy Rog and Nikolaev directions. The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains purely virtual here. The Ukrainian command is already openly calling to stop writing about the “successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, as the picture of the “offensive” is becoming more and more ridiculous against the background of numerous shots of the destruction of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by rocket and artillery strikes.
10.
Zaporozhye.
On the line Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka without significant changes.
Fighting in the area of Ugledar and Pavlovka. In Novomikhailovka and Marinka no changes. The activity of the enemy with the attack on Pavlovka and Yegorovka did not last long.

‼️🇬🇧💥The Ministry of Defense commented on the strikes on Kremenchug
The Russian Armed Forces continue to strike at military facilities on the territory of Ukraine. On June 27, in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region , the Russian Aerospace Forces delivered a strike with high-precision air-based weapons on hangars with weapons and ammunition received from the United States and European countries, in the area of the Kremenchug plant of road machines . As a result of a high-precision strike, Western-made weapons and ammunition, concentrated in the storage area for further shipment to the Ukrainian group of troops in the Donbas, were hit . The detonation of stored ammunition for Western weapons caused a fire in a factory located next to the territorynon-functioning shopping center.

‼️🇬🇧Report from the front:
💥Successful joint actions of the Russian troops, units of the people’s militia of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics inflict critical losses on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
🚀As a result of the strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the deployment point of the Nazi formation “Azov” in Kharkov and one of the battalions of the 92nd motorized infantry brigade near the village of Pokotilovka, Kharkov region, more than 100 Ukrainian military personnel, foreign mercenaries and up to 15 units of armored vehicles and vehicles were destroyed.
☠️Poor training of Ukrainian citizens mobilized to participate in hostilities, as well as the low level of training of foreign mercenaries, are increasingly becoming the cause of “friendly fire”. Thus, recruits who arrived to resupply the 97th battalion of the 60th infantry brigade were subjected to mortar fire from their colleagues.
🔥A similar incident occurred in the 28th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where foreign mercenaries opened fire on the reconnaissance group of this unit. As a result, 4 servicemen died on the spot, 3 were injured.
🚀The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed 2 command posts, manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 28 districts in the Luhansk and Donetsk directions in a day.
🚀As part of the counter-battery fight, 4 Ukrainian platoons of the Grad MLRS, as well as 2 artillery platoons , were hit by high-precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces .
🏹During the day, air defense systems shot down 3 Su-25 aircraft and one Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force, destroyed 9 Ukrainian UAVs. In addition, 7 Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missiles were intercepted.

Regarding the questions of what the Armed Forces of Ukraine will do after the surrender of Lisichansk.
In order of forecast.
1. The remnants of the group will withdraw to the Seversk-Soledar line.
2. After the loss of Seversk, most likely they will defend on the line Nikolaevka, Nikiforovka, Vasyukovka, Soledar, covering the Slavyansk-Artemovsk highway.
3. After the loss of Soledar and the withdrawal of Russian troops to the Slavyansk-Artemovsk highway, they will most likely retreat to Chasov Yar, and then to Konstantinovka.
4. The main line of defense looks like this – Slavyansk-Kramatorsk-Druzhkovka-Konstantinovka – Dzerzhinsk.
5. For the implementation of such actions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is critically important to prevent the advance of the RF Armed Forces in the Izyum direction, and even more so to lose Barvenkovo.

Thank you kindly, for your updates.
Fog of war and lack of info combine to obscure the ongoing developments around Lysichansk. The prognosis was optimistic about two days ago, officers from LPR were announcing the falling of Lysichansk at the end of this week. It looks like the optimism sobered up as trying to dislodge between 5 and 10 thousand desperate men is not an easy matter.
The momentum that brought us to this point started with the offensive against Severodonetsk, stayed through the Golden/Mountain cauldron, Soledar/Seversk line battles, it might be at this point the Allied troops are tired after so many weeks on fighting, and the momentum has slackened. There is progress, the oil refinery is in dispute, Lysichansk is surrounded, towns around Lysichansk have been taken, but the lightning progress has slowed down. Or it appears to be so.
What’s your take?

It does seem momentum has slowed down. I also saw a post on someone’s Telegram channel about UKR troops able to escape from Lysichansk as the cauldron wasn’t totally closed (of course I can’t find it now).
Time will tell.
Keep checking Military Chronicle.

On the other hand, if momentum has slowed down in Donbass, it seems Kharkiv is coming out with new impetus. Allied forces have recovered lost territory, and are hammering the “Kraken” and Azov trash wholesale, about one hundred of them in one swoop.
Also, Military Chronicle reports @ 500 UkroWerhmacht were able to leave the Lysichank cauldron, with losses, which is not that many out of thousands of them, mostly the desperados.
https://voenhronika.ru/publ/vojna_na_ukraine/ukraina_poslednie_novosti_na_segodnja_29_ijunja_video_boev_za_lisichansk_otstuplenie_vsu_pereroslo_v_panicheskoe_begstvo_19_video/60-1-0-12470
“…In the LPR, it is reported that a group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine numbering up to 500 people was able to crawl away with losses from Lisichansk to Seversk through Belogorovka. This reminds us that there is no full-fledged boiler near Lisichansk yet and it is still quite possible to leave the city, even if it involves great risks of falling under Russian artillery fire…”
—————————————————-
The losses in the oil refinery seem to be substantial, an entire battalion from the 10th Mountain Brigade was left with 30 men, 8.5% of the battalion.
Finally, political and otherwise whore Liz Truss continues with her delusions to defeat Russia. She’s left butthurt by Lavrov after he showed the world she was an idiot, she didn’t know Rostov-on-Don is in Russia. She was already foaming at the mouth as a Russophobic, but now even more, she’s a rabid b****.

Military expert Boris Rozhin with a brief summary of the results of the operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine as of 00.15 June 30, 2022, specially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
1.
Lisichansk .
Today, the Lisichansk Oil Refinery has been taken, fighting continues in Verkhnekamenka, in the area of Belaya Gora, Privolye (there are reports of the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), as well as in Lisichansk itself. The enemy is partially withdrawing to Seversk, where a new line of defense is being built.
2.
Artemovsk .
Fighting continues in Klinovoe, our troops have advanced in the village. Pokrovsky has no special changes. The enemy also holds supply lines to the Novolugansk and Uglegorsk TPPs.
3.
Soledar .
Fighting continues near Nikolaevka, in Belogorovka and Berestovo. The enemy is still holding the front, but soon the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have to solve the problem of the offensive of the RF Armed Forces from the north, after the completion of the liberation of Lisichansk, the main pressure will be on Seversk and Soledar.
4.
Slavyansk .
Fights at Bogorodichny, Krasnopolye, Prishib, Sidorovo. The pace of progress towards Slavyansk is still low.
5.
Kharkov .
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have ousted the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Dementievka and are intensifying the fire destruction of enemy positions on the outskirts of Kharkov. Opportunities for advancement are being felt in the area of the Upper Passages, Uda, Tsupovka. The processing of the Zolochevsky fortified area is also underway.
6.
Avdiivka .
On the front line without significant changes. Artillery shelling of Donetsk became less intense after the intensification of counter-battery work.
7.
Carbon .
After recent attempts at an offensive near Pavlovka, Yegorovka and Shevchenkovo, the enemy, having suffered heavy losses, was forced to reduce his activity, and the battles here are again developing in a positional manner. In the area of Novomikhailovka and Marinka, no changes.
8.
Zaporozhye .
On the line Kamenskoe-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka without significant changes. In the Kamenskoye area, the largest exchange of prisoners of war since the beginning of the SVO took place – they changed 144 to 144 people. Among those exchanged from the Ukrainian side were 43 wounded Azov militants. Among ours are several pilots.
9.
Nikolaev.
At the front without significant changes. In the Nikopol direction, the enemy is trying to crush in the Potemkino area. Nikolayev continues to be subjected to intense missile strikes. Activation in this direction is quite possible in July.
10.
Odessa .
Ukraine continues to prepare for attempts to attack the island of Serpents as part of the political task. In the coming weeks, this will certainly result in shelling of the island from the MLRS and OTRK, as well as attempts to strike from the air. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Black Sea Fleet are also preparing for these attempts. Ukraine needs at least some kind of victory against the background of the retreat in the Donbass. In addition, the US and Britain are trying to challenge the control of the Black Sea Fleet in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

US/NATO decided to make Ukraine a weapons testing lab for the new additions to their arsenal, and measure their effectiveness against Russian weapons. Snake Island provides as good an opportunity as any, as long as Odessa remains under nazi control.
Russia for her part is also testing new weapons, some don’t even have a name. Snake Island could become an interesting point of observation.

Looks like they succeeded, the Russian have been forced out of Snake Island
SLOVIANSK, Ukraine (AP) — Russia on Thursday pulled back its forces from a strategically placed Black Sea island where they have faced relentless Ukrainian attacks, but kept up its push to encircle the last bulwark of Ukraine’s resistance in the eastern province of Luhansk.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it withdrew its forces from the Zmiyinyy (Snake) Island off Ukraine’s Black Sea port of Odesa in what it described as a “goodwill gesture.” Ukraine’s military said the Russians fled the island in two speedboats following a barrage of Ukrainian artillery and missile strikes.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov insisted that the withdrawal was intended to demonstrate that “the Russian Federation wasn’t hampering the United Nations’ efforts to establish a humanitarian corridor for taking agricultural products from the territory of Ukraine.”
Ukraine and the West have accused Russian of blockading Ukrainian ports to prevent exports of grain, contributing to the global food crisis. Russia has denied the accusations and charged that Ukraine needs to remove sea mines from the Black Sea to allow safe navigation.
Turkey has sought to broker a deal on unblocking grain exports from Ukraine, but the talks have dragged on without any sign of quick progress, with Kyiv voicing concern that Russia could use the deal to launch an attack on Odesa.
Voenkor Kitten Z
A reasonable decision to leave Serpent’s Island is now being presented by many as zradu, defeat, retreat, etc. Yes, this is not a victory for sure, but a justified retreat. In fact, it was pointless to defend a narrow patch of not even land, but rock in this situation. People on this patch turned into suicide bombers. Not a single air defense system can give a 100% guarantee of protection against cannon artillery, bombs and missiles, so the decision is correct in this situation.
Of course, Kyiv will present everything as a win, but the enemy will not be able to fully control the Snake. With any attempt to land, the Russian Aerospace Forces will deliver systematic strikes.
In general, I would leave this Serpentine as a stub of rock, so that no one would be in the habit of occupying it. This would be the smart decision in this situation. It was to this decision that they came, but, alas, at the cost of losses.
@voenkorKotenok
@ Russian Bear
I just posted a comment along the same lines, it is still under moderation.
I wholeheartedly agree with the decision, Snake Island served a purpose at the beginning of the SMO, Russia is done with it, and to avoid turning it into a target practice for the new toys Ukronazis are acquiring from the West, exposing Russian troops for a useless piece of rock, better to leave it to the Ukrainians.
If they want to occupy it, Russia can carpet bomb them back to the Stone Age.
So be it.

So yes, Snake Island will be abandoned by Russian troops.
Ensuring the defense of an object that is within reach not only of missile systems, but also of cannon artillery, turned out to be very problematic and costly over a long distance.
Nevertheless, the main reason was the lack of reconnaissance and target designation equipment of the operational-tactical level in the arsenal of the fleet and the Aerospace Forces, which would allow effective targeting of aircraft and Caliber. Like, for example, the UAV MQ-9 Reaper.
Tactical UAVs can be launched from the territory of the island, but they do not provide round-the-clock reconnaissance of enemy targets to a sufficient depth, as a result of which it becomes very difficult to hit a maneuverable target.
It is necessary to return the island either when control over the Odessa region is established, or immediately before the signing of a truce. Otherwise, there will be only vain sacrifices.

Thanks for the breaking news.
Western presstitutes might call it a “success” and will be bragging about how Ukraine defeated the Russians with a little help from the West, which shows that Russia only understand strength, blah, blah, blah…
In purely military terms, Snake Island was a compromised position as long as Odessa is owned by the nazis. The Russian position there, as long as Russia doesn’t take care of the Odessa occupation, would be as exposed as a turkey shot, a great propaganda tool for the Ukronazis “resistance.”
Russia also withdrew from Kharkiv, which is retaking as I write, it withdrew from Kiev, as priorities were redefined within the strategy, focus turned to Donbass, and for the results of the campaign, it was a wise decision.
I am not concerned at all about the withdrawal. I think it was the smart thing to do, as long as Odessa is not taken.
Ukraine is going to propagandize it as a victory.
The one who laughs last…

PS: Russia was in conversations with the UN re: grain shipping, have to wait for more info about the “good will gesture.”
(I liked this comment very much from another site. Says pretty much what you just said with the addition of how attacks are coordinated by NATO):
Damascus Steel
The problem with Snake Island is the role of the USA. They fly their Global Hawk and Global Reaper drones constantly around this island every day. Then they give the UAP US M777 howitzers and US HIMARS with intent to reach and attack the island, just off the Odessa coast. All the while the US drones are feeding real time coordinates, operating out of Romanian NATO bases, to the UAP missiles and artillery operators. This is also how the Moska cruiser was hit (the British actually directly guided the missile from their AWACS aircraft in Romanian airspace over Black Sea). The US-UK are in direct war with Russia but are pretending otherwise. There is no way the hapless Ukrainians could achieve the results they have in this sector without complete NATO planning and participation. For now, the wise RF move is leave the island, it has little strategic value as a media-ego battle of control, and when the land based RF move on Odessa, then take it back. The real strategic value of island is not in the conflict now, but later, as a radar station and electronic surveillance base against NATO in Romania. The RF will resume control at right time – this is tactical operations of conflict in action.

The Russian army continues to develop success in the Lisichansk direction.
– Offensive operations are being carried out from Volcheyarovka towards Maloryazantsevo with access to the western outskirts of Lisichansk.
– Also, Russian soldiers are moving towards the village of Lisichansky from the recently occupied oil refinery of the same name on the outskirts of the city.
Apparently, these actions are carried out in order to cut off the Armed Forces of Ukraine from one of the last convenient interchanges to Belogorovka , which the enemy used to communicate with Lisichansk and evacuate from it, which was facilitated by an unsuccessful attempt to cross the Russian Armed Forces in the spring.

“…Almost all the “Azov soldiers” who returned to Ukraine as a result of yesterday’s exchange lost their arms or legs, said the sister of the prisoner of Volyn Tatyana Kharko. “Almost everything, 99%, without arms, without legs. Someone does not hear, someone does not see, but the eyes are happy,” she said…”
———————————————————————-
When I saw posters complaining about 43 Azovstsy present in the latest exchange of 144 prisoners, I knew it was not that simple.
Allied forces were not going to exchange able-bodied neo-nazis and have them turn around to go back killing people in Donbass, their favorite sport.
Volyn’s sister reported 99% of the returned neo-nazis have no arms, no legs, no eyes or lost hearing.
Luckily her brother has two arms, two legs, two eyes and can hear very well when ordered to go clean the prison grounds.

Thanks for posting this because there has been a lot of people voicing dissatisfaction that there were Azov soldiers in the exchange.
Also, Snake Island has shown us that Pantsir and Tor are not totally invincible. They can put up a good fight but can be overwhelmed.

Military expert Boris Rozhin with a brief summary of the results of the operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine at 23.50 on June 30, 2022, especially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
1.
Lisichansk.
Fighting in Lisichansk itself, in Privolye, Verkhnekamenka, on the outskirts of Volcheyarovka and beyond Belaya Gora. The battles for Zolotarevka, Disputed and Verkhnekamensk began.
The enemy is trying to hold the corridor through Belogorovka to Seversk in order to be able to move away from Lisichansk. The grouping continues to remain in the operational environment, but there is no full-fledged boiler yet – one more road remains to be cut.
2.
Soledar.
Fights near Nikolayevka, in Berestovoye and Belogorovka. The enemy began to fortify the chain of settlements between Soledar and Seversk, where he expects to delay the advance of our troops after the fall of Lisichansk.
3.
Artemovsk.
Our troops are slowly advancing in Klinovoe. The enemy defense in Pokrovsky is holding. The enemy began to prepare for the defense of the outskirts of Artemovsk, expecting the imminent start of battles for the city.
Our troops are stepping up pressure on Kodema and Semigorye in order to cut off the group defending the Uglegorsk TPP and Novolugansk.
In Ukraine, they say that they will transfer reinforcements to the Donbass to keep the situation in this direction.
4.
Slavyansk.
It is reported about the capture of Sidorovo and Bogorodichny. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denies the loss of Bogorodichny and states that he still controls part of the village. According to Sidorov, the situation is still unclear. If the village is taken, then this means the imminent start of battles for Mayaki north of the outskirts of Slavyansk.
On the Izyum direction without significant changes – there is no advance in the area of Dolina and Krasnopolye.
5.
Kharkov.
Against the backdrop of ongoing systematic attacks in the area of Kharkov and Chuguev, after the occupation of Dementyevka, the RF Armed Forces are stepping up pressure near Verkhny Saltov, Tsupovka and the village of Udy.
The processing of the Zolochevsky fortified area continues. It is also worth noting the Tu-141 Strizh UAV flying in the direction of Kursk, which was probably trying to identify the capabilities of Russian air defense systems before possible strikes in the Kursk region using OTRK and American MLRS.
6.
Avdiivka.
No major changes. Fights, as before, are taking place near the Avdiivka-Konstantinovka highway. There is no serious progress in the direction of Ochertino and Krasnogorovka. New York has no significant changes so far.
7.
Zaporozhye.
On the line Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka without significant changes. Positional fights. It is worth noting that the head of the DPR, Pushilin, after the exchange of prisoners of war in the Zaporozhye region in the Kamensky region, announced the continuation of negotiations on a further exchange of prisoners of war, which will probably also be held in the Zaporozhye region.
8.
Nikolaev.
Positional battles in the Nikolaev, Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions. The enemy claims that he was able to repel the attacks of the RF Armed Forces in the Potemkino area and keep the village behind him.
The RF Armed Forces continue to strike at headquarters and concentrations of troops in the Nikolaev region.
9.
Odessa.
The Russian Armed Forces left Zmeiny Island due to increased artillery and rocket attacks.
Ukraine stated that it would establish control over the island, but later stated that conditions for this still needed to be created, fearing that when landing on the island, Ukrainian forces would already become a target for missile strikes.
Politically, the departure from Zmiinoye is linked to the unblocking of grain exports from Ukrainian ports as part of the negotiations that have been going on in Turkey since May. Linking the Serpentine issue with the issue of cargo transit to Kaliningrad has not yet been officially confirmed.
10.
Ugledar, Marinka, Raisins – no significant changes.

Yankee experts: 5 reasons why not only Ukraine, but also the United States will lose the war to Russia
School of Advanced International StudiesJohn Hopkins University (SAIS) and the Philip Merrill Center for Strategic Studies (Philip Merrill CSS), the leading overseas institutions for the analysis of military conflicts, also came to this conclusion. According to these think tanks, the confrontation between Ukraine and Russia can radically change the American understanding of conflicts and thereby radically change the future of the Pentagon.
“The fighting in Ukraine has revealed at least five lessons that the US Army needs to learn in order to adequately prepare for new wars,” the SAIS and Philip Merrill CSS professorship notes. Today, it means that the United States is not even ready for a non-nuclear war with Russia.
First, “there’s nowhere to hide.” But how cool it was, for example, in Iraq, and in Afghanistan, too. On the” front”, US soldiers remotely destroyed the enemy of the model of the XX century, and in the rear, even in the near, they calmly prepared in complete safety another operation to eliminate, again remotely, the enemy’s manpower.
And now the goals in Ukraine have turned into bright butterflies pinned to the world bulletin board. “Iskander”, “Caliber”, “Onyx”, X-22-all this deprives the APU and its curators of any attempts to adapt to the new conditions. In addition, it turned out that the Russians also have night vision devices, which for decades gave an undeniable advantage to the Yankees. More recently, any night operation was a meat grinder of a helpless enemy. Now, ” a transparent battlefield creates huge problems for the US Army.”
Secondly, overseas experts actually recognized that the United States faces the most difficult difficulties in delivering weapons to the front line in Nezalezhnaya. Stars and Stripes Lieutenant General David Barno and Professor SAISNora Bensael writes, ” U.S. army units rely critically on complex logistics that pass through foreign bases and are delivered via long transport corridors, often using unsecured commercial supply chains.”
In their opinion, the Russian Armed Forces see this vast support network as nothing more than a terrifying reality for American military planners. Today, all the forces of the NATO logistics vehicle are aimed at delivering small amounts of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the result is close to zero.
Third, the Americans will have to part with helicopters. Now, by the way, in the US Army there are about 3.5 thousand rotorcraft, which proved to be excellent in the war with the enemy, who does not have effective air defense. Now” there is no such possibility ” — General David Barno admitted that Russian MANPADS and mobile air defense systems put an end to the star-spangled turntables.
On the one hand, the conflict in Ukraine has virtually nullified the effectiveness of helicopters, and on the other hand, they still have no alternative in the rapid delivery or evacuation of manpower. But this is still half the trouble, the Yankees will not be able to provide an advantage in the sky, despite the “best fighters in the world”.
No, Barno does not directly admit that our air defense systems see the F-35,but believes “the same capabilities that threaten helicopters are deadly to American aircraft ,which” fly slower than the old Cold War Air Force attack aircraft.” For example, the Yankees wrote off the “flying gun” A-10 for one simple reason: because of its slow speed, it has become defenseless against modern Russian man-portable anti-aircraft missiles. And the new “polunevidimka” also can not boast of speed.
The picture is drawn quite bleak. Manpower and ammunition will have to be delivered by armored vehicles, although earlier it was believed that cargo drones and robot loaders would cope with this work. But they will be shot down in the first sortie, if the front line changes cautiously, as it happens on the Ukrainian battlefield.
Fourth, SAIS and Philip Merrill CSS write in black and white: “What has largely gone unnoticed by the media and most military observers is the fact that a wide range of American troops were quietly deployed in Ukraine after 2014 to create the current Ukrainian Armed Forces. These efforts included both standard American training and training in unconventional special operations tactics.”
And the Yankees, according to Barno, taught the Ukrainians the use of modern American weapons and the professionalization of officers and sergeants. And in general, the SBU and GUR are the brainchild of Major General David Baldwin, whose phone is still red-hot from calls from Ukrainian high-ranking state security officers.
At the first stage of the special operation, the Americans thought that they had achieved success in training the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which gave hope for help not only near Kiev, but also in the Donbass, and even in the Crimea. The United States even called the Ukrainian armed forces the best army in Europe, after which Zelensky refused the Istanbul peace treaty.
This unforgivable and gross mistake of American analysts led to the fact that three months later Kiev is suffering the heaviest military and territorial losses, whereas in March concessions to Moscow would have been formal in nature.
From today’s perspective, the withdrawal of Russian troops from the capital Nezalezhnaya is seen from a different perspective and looks more like a trap. Moscow not only managed to lure the Ukrainian cadre army to the Donbass and bleed it dry there, but also imposed a new agenda for negotiations.
This means that the Yankees need to raise to a higher level not only the training of US soldiers and officers, but also improve the star-spangled intelligence, which completely framed Zelensky.
Fifth, ” the conflict in Ukraine is the first large-scale non-nuclear battle of the XXI century, when two advanced armies face each other,” experts from SAIS and Philip Merrill CSS state. They agree with David Johnson, a leading RAND analyst, who said: “The US military cannot claim that it would do a better job than the Russian military if their roles were reversed.”
But now, given the new reality that has emerged on the Ukrainian battlefield, the issue of discipline and morale, which began to fall in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is being raised. The American army is already the leader in peacetime suicides, so it’s scary to imagine what kind of morale the stars and stripes would be in, fighting the Russians without air support and with a meager supply of ammunition and equipment.
