The US-proposed resolution received 93 votes, with 24 countries opposed and 58 abstaining.
The only other country ever to be expelled from the UN Human Rights Council was Libya, in 2011, as NATO bombed the North African country to help militants overthrow the government of Muammar Gaddafi.
India Bangladesh and Pakistan abstained. Saarc counties should have voted to keep russia in but I reckon there is a lot of blackmailing going on.
UN has to be recreated ASAP in zone B. Also the vote should be anonymous to avoid arms twisting.
I just listened to a documentary about “amnesty international”, financed by the NED, by Rockefeller, Open society and such, and thus spreading fake news. Similarly, it has to be recreated in “zone B”.
Difficult to cheer up these days. In fact, one of my kids did bring me some laughter, one was Kamala Harris repeating “the passage of time”, almost in a loop fashion and the other one, not as funny, but so simplistic/for retards and yet deadly effective, was the same Kamala Harris explaining that Russia is big, Ukraine is small and so Russia is the bully.
I always said that Alberto Fernandez was a globalist bastard, with his drag queen son and the longest quarantine in the world, he always proved to be a puppet of Soros.
Argentina is Zionist to the core, Any option Macri – Fernandez
They are two faces of the same coin.
All Argentine media are Zionist-owned and since February 24 they have been misinforming and demonizing Russia.
And the bastard pope “JESUIT” Bergoglio is just another pet.
We cannot expect anything good from my country.
Likewise, who is warmed by that committee of progressive countries, in the process of “deconstruction” that support the sanction.
So we see then who are the globalists, who are opposed and who will oppose as many are convinced that this rebellion will be successful.
Globalism shows what it is, numerically half of the countries but with unpopular governments (Argentina, Serbia, several Europeans) the majority against those that are the vast majority in population and already in economy as well.
What do you guys think of Peskov? I do not find him a good communicator.
He keeps handing the west brownie talking points.
Kremlin spokesman admits ‘significant losses of troops’
The Kremlin has admitted suffering “significant losses” of troops since Russia invaded Ukraine, in a rare admission of how badly the war has gone.
In an interview with Sky News, the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, was asked whether the war had amounted to a humiliation for Russia given the number of troops lost.
Peskov replied:
We have significant losses of troops. And it’s a huge tragedy for us.
Please attach proof of what you have written above. The actual transcript or interview – not MSM mis-information. Another commenter has refuted this below. Mod.
Peskov should be booted, but Russians shouldn’t be giving interviews with Sky News in the first place.
I think he is smart, loyal, honest, good-hearted. He said nothing about the humiliation part? The fact that they didn’t report casualties anymore implied heavy losses. It’s not a humiliation. In boxing, no one asks a fighter if it’s a humiliation that he knocked the other guy out in the seventh instead of the first round. This one is no less dumb. If Russia loses, it would be. If we knock Golovkin out, that’s a humiliation for him too. We might become Zelensky afterwards.
I didn’t realize there was an employment clause stating that an army has to report their casualty rates to anyone, let alone a honky racist consortium of butt kissers of the crown of Elizabeth who consider Russia an enemy. Wow, that’s new. Do they have to report menu choices per troop also? Whether or not there’s a change of skivvies? Heartburn? Jock itch?
I 100% agree with you. On becoming Zelensky, National Lampoon once did a bit on consumer items that were recalled because they did what the item’s name professed. The recalled Doc Johnson (sex toy company) Anal Destroyer comes to mind. Great comment campion.
Thank you.
Text of that part of the interview:
“The reason I said it’s not going to plan is you’ve retreated from the capital [of Kyiv], [Ukrainian] President [Volodymyr] Zelensky is still in power, you’ve lost thousands of troops, you’ve lost six generals, hundreds of tanks and other equipment — it’s a humiliation really, isn’t it?” Austin asked Peskov.
Peskov replied, “No, it’s a wrong understanding of what’s going on.”
Austin then followed up asking, “What is wrong about what I just said?” prompting Peskov to respond, “Nearly everything.”
I think It was a standard performance from Peskov. I don’t know if it was a problem for him in his job to say the truth about casualties. It was implied in the lack of information about casualties that the losses were heavy, though. What looks like a mistake is the information given about losses after the first week of combat, to correct false information others had given (as I recall) because, if then you don’t report anymore, I think it implies heavy losses, and you can’t correct exaggerations anymore. You should not report to “correct” but only if it’s your procedure to do it. It would look bad to punish him for this answer.
Of course, there are countries in Europe where there is still some respect left for taxpayers, or there is at least a critical mass who demands the right to unbiased information, a right included in the Chart of Human Rights….

Why didn’t Russia call out the U.S. war crimes in Iraq, such as in Fallujah or Abu Ghraib prison where there are actually many photos and videos of U.S. soldiers sadistically torturing Iraqis (and smiling and giving “thumbs up” while doing that), or the Amiriyah shelter bombing in 1991 where U.S. directly bombed a shelter for refugees killing several hundred civilians, or the “Highway of Death” at the end of the 1991 Iraq blitzkrieg?
By not doing anything or much against crimes like these it allows the monster to keep creeping forward unopposed and instead accuses others of what it and its proxies do.
How did House Hand LTG fail to mention U.S. war crimes in Iraq, such as in Fallujah or Abu Ghraib prison where there are actually many photos and videos of U.S. soldiers sadistically torturing Iraqis (and smiling and giving “thumbs up” while doing that), or the Amariyah shelter bombing in 1991 where U.S. directly bombed a shelter for refugees killing several hundred civilians, or the “Highway of Death” at the end of the 1991 Iraq blitzkrieg? Or the US proxy war in Yemen where 350,000, most under the age of 5 have died under racist whitey bombs, or the 11,000,000 killed by the US since the 90s? Or the US stealing the money of Venezuela and Afghanistan and leaving them to starve? She’s a house hand at the world’s biggest plantation house in DC and it would be better if she were a field …

The US and Nato are now clearly making this an existential attack on Russia, now using the UN as a biased instrument. The parallels with the threat of Nazi Germany now even go beyond the neo-Nazis in the Azov Battalion, Right Sektor and other outspoken racist fascists who were clearly the reprobates who orchestrated torture, mass murder and other war crimes after the Russian army vacated the Kiev area. Like Hitler’s minions they are even stealing Russian art works lent to outsiders by the Hermitage Museum. Putin has tried a gentle approach to spare the lives and living conditions of everyone living in Ukraine, but his mercy has been repaid with evil vicious hatred and stone cold murder. Time to take the gloves off and simply lay waste to the Ukrainian hordes–anything wearing a uniform and/or pointing a weapon at any Russian, and their American enablers, who want nothing other than to totally destroy Russia. That cocky (literally) degenerate Zelensky most deserves justice in return for all the lives he has needlessly destroyed. If you catch him, give him the full treatment that Gaddafi or Saddam received by Cackling Hilary’s minions. Turnabout is fair play, as the West likes to say.
Russia, the job will not be finished until you make your western border safe and stable. All the blame and moral culpability lies with Washington which ginned this all up and relentlessly foisted this war upon you. Nato, the EU, the USA and now the UN can all go to Hell where maybe they will some day perceive the truth of their nefarious actions. Plain and simple, this has been an American-instigated mob action from day one. Russia has the right of self defense under such threats. My American government is so corrupt, immoral, murderous, deceptive and innately dishonest it makes me both sick and enraged. Someone needs to teach them a lesson and punish them for their, not just crimes, but sins. Since “God” will apparently not carry out this task, it obviously falls to you, Mr. Putin and Russia.
Serbia? WTH is going on?
Elections are over. Now the masks have fallen.
Expect the introduction of sanctions in the near future.
Nothing is going on. This is irrelevant vote. Hence how Serbia voted. Traitor on power in Serbia carefully walks between serbian peoples’ will and western pressure. So, when nothing is important he votes yes, otherwise he will vote no. Or at least neutral. I know it would not happen, but if Putin would address serbian people and say that vučić does not support Russia, serbian faggot would loose everything. But we all know that russians are very polite people…
That would be the same human rights council headed by Saudi Arabia who executed 81 people in a single day,and hacked a journalist to pieces inside their Embassy LOL! that human rights council.
Serbia voted in favor. 58 countries abstained, there was no need to vote “yes”.
I am ashamed of my country, it is embarrasing.
Vučić won the elections, he doesn’t need to ponder to patriots anymore.
A big mistake. Screw NATO-sponsored Maidan, Russians need to step up and remove this clown.
Just a NAZO PR victory. The EOL (no pan intended) With 800+ military bases around this sorry world, what else was expected other than the League of Nations 2.0 before WWII?
After Vuchich’s recent victory in Serbia’s elections, his hands are untied now to deliver on the remaining promises made to the EOL – the only entity he never lied to.
I remember being shocked to find out several years ago that Israel (of all countries!) was leading the UN Human Rights Council. The country which has broken more UN resolutions than any other in the world and has the worst human rights record of any country in the world, was leading the UN Human Rights Council! Later on it was lead by Saudi Arabia during their invasion and blockade of Yemen. That tells you what a joke this “council” is. Nobody can possibly take it seriously. It’s just about whoever has the most money and political power, like the Olympics. Russia is paying the price for idiots like Gorbachev who believed they could sell out their allies, as well as their own people to Zionist America, and not suffer any consequences. The events in Ukraine are the end result of that line of thinking. Russia needs to rebuild its economy and get rid of the remaining Zionist oligarchs who are holding it back. China seems to understand the importance of economic power. Does Russia?
“China seems to understand the importance of economic power. Does Russia?”
Putin is not as popular as he is for mainly foreign policy reasons or charisma. When a leader is that popular, it’s for economic reasons. If the economic situation is bad, he cannot be that popular. Deutsche Welle has a documentary on Russia. If I find it later, I’ll link it. They went into the homes of different Russian families. The program is neither pro nor anti. At one point, they said something that told the whole story. They said the income of Russians has grown tenfold since Putin came to power! From that fact, you can deduce everything else. That’s why he’s popular! It was just one brief statement. They might as well have ended right there – The End.
And yet again Serbia votes Green with the rest of the occupied World…
Forgive us Russia as honest Serbs stand with you in the fight against Nazism!
Never ever threaten the almighty dollar of the empire of destruction. Next, awaiting the attempted assassination, or for morons & toadies, bring on the tactical nukes – an outgoing fireworks show for brain dead Biden’s Ukie fiefdom, for a spectacular exit.
This occasional commentator on life on earth can’t stand this total bs, & our ‘freedom luvin’ ‘Western’ Polly’s have a cracker for the bucks
Interestingly no body mentioned Iran, the most powerful in Middle East and one of the most courageous nations of the world and history, legacy of geat Persian civilization.
Iran put a “NO” on the face of global evil. In the east you have two civilisational nations which put a No, China and Iran. There are truely independent people.
The future of Euro – Asia and to the some extend of the whole world is in the hands of Russia-China – Iran.
The vote of slaves does not count.
Majority are always wrong and will be, it is the the nature of truth to be in the hands of “minority”.
This the result of this “vote” is as “natural” as it can be.
Of course the big shock is Serbia voting in favor. Sad to see.
It’s been a long time since the UN stopped being useful at all, if it ever was.
What is WRONG with Serbia?
This year i see they constantly betraying russia, following the usa like puppets.
The vote is disappointing to some as it represents a victory for the Hegemon. But it is not a referendum on Russia. It is not the end of the world for Russia, far from it.
The vote was only to suspend Russia but Russia has decided to withdraw from the UNHRC completely; in the process showing up the Council for what it is — a tool used by the US to retain its hegemony.
This is part of the effort to isolate Russia diplomatically but that’s impossible to do because RF has too many things to offer the world for it to be isolated — the very idea of a new power arrangement after half a century of US/Western hegemony is an attractive alternative to much of the world.
Most of the world, especially the developing South, just want to be left alone to live in peace and lead their lives as they see fit instead of constantly being coerced, bullied and exploited by the hegemon. Russia, China and their allies offer that possibility; Russia gives voice to their aspirations and the pattern of voting reflects that.
The key take away from this vote is that countries with a very large majority of the world’s actual population either voted against or abstained from voting. However, Washington is able to control the vote by wielding all of its small population satellites in Europe and the Pacific Ocean into a “majority.” These “General Assembly” votes are a sham — nothing democratic about them. Russia should also add all of the countries that voted in favor to the unfriendly nations list.
People need to chill.
93 countries in favour.
100 countries not in favour.
The consequences:
Western mockingbirders will gloat, temporarily, as is their nature to do so. Typical of them and hardly a surprise to most of us. Let them gloat. As far as they are concerned Russia already lost 6 weeks ago.
Moscow, no doubt, will take note of those ‘green +’ countries. The overwhelming majority of them are hardly a surprise let alone a shock but nonetheless Moscow will take note for future reference.
The UN, like it’s predecessor the League of Nations, will eventually end up in the dustbin of history anyway.
I wish everyone a pleasant weekend!
still, there is smoke, only smoke…….. stay humble
Being excluded from a club also means that you don’t have to comply with whatever non-sense the members of that club may come up.
And whatever resolution that “council” make – Russia can simply ignore it – she’s already sanctioned to the hilt – and everything those sanctions achieved is to protect local russian producers from outside competition and dethroned the dolar as dominant currency. And any of those countries, which tries to apply the resolution via military force would commit suicide by Russia ;-)
Myanmar has been supported by Russia, even after the coup. Yet it voted for the resolution. Aside from the usual vassals, many countries have taken part in tearing down Russia – Turkey, of course, voted for, yet Russia has “good”relations with Turkey.
I think the Myanmar delegation to the UN is not that of the current (military) government but the old one appointed by the elected US-backed government it overthrew. It thus votes at the UN as the US dictates.
Other UN resolutions have been used in a similar fashion to turn unpopular states (or people) in the pariahs of the world. The 1973 UN Convention declaring apartheid a ‘crime against humanity’. The objective was to stigmatize white South Africans by associating them with genuine crimes against humanity — which have generally included totalitarian repression and the slaughter of millions of people. It worked exceedingly well because even until today that label is remembered by many people globally. Even though at the time the Afrikaner-controlled South African state was ultimately responsible for a few hundred politically-related deaths, later to be confirmed less than 700 during the 48-year apartheid period. (While the anti-apartheid liberation movements were responsible for more than 20,000 politically motivated deaths during that time – also confirmed by Truth and Reconciliation Commission). Moreover, today South Africa has more race-based laws against whites in the country than there were under Apartheid and British colonialism prior to that combined (but no resolutions are called for). These resolutions are often politically motivated but, but once passed they can have long-lasting effects.
I’m please with my country of origin for hanging in there despite heavy, heavy pressure, both from the US and from our comprador class.
Now, if only India breaks away from its too-cozy relationship with Israel.
UN and its offshoots like WHO, WB, IMF, etc are CORRUPT institutions specifically created to cater imperial interests of US and its European lapdog vassal nations. So fxxk the UN and its ” human rights council”! Russia, China, Iran and other countries which voted against or abstained should start new orgsnization like United SOVEREIGN nations ( USN), of course without US and its EU puppydogs.
