This video is not even good propaganda. It makes assumptions about the life of its straw woman and then suggests this fictional individual should correct the fictional problems with her own life rather than call for gun control. Ron Unz’s article is a bit better in that it uses statistics to “prove” a correlation between gun violence and race, but it fails to address the myriad other factors that would also correlate to increased violence – poverty, lack of social and health services, poor housing, etc.
The US is, and always has been, a violent culture. Violence is even more American than apple pie. This is a nation built on genocide and slavery which throughout its history has carried out unnecessary wars that have resulted in millions of deaths. We are not going to be able to overcome that history. We might, however, be able to reduce the number of deaths by enacting some measures to restrict some types of weapons. It behooves us to try.

If you think guns are the problem you have been 1) asleep or 2) willfully ignorant.The collapse is coming, not only from the causes listed in the video, but from economy, both domestic and foreign, and ineffectiveness of the government itself which is tearing itself apart from within. These problems, along with many others will cause failure long before gun control can take hold. The best you can do is get your own life in order and protect yourself and your family and friends as well as you are able.
Years back I read an article, written by an American, who stated that between 1900 and 1980 some 800.000 Americans were killed in acts of violence. Nasty figure, but not surprising.

There is a lot of misinformation and ignorance about gun violence in America. The gun owners that I know are responsible adults who keep their weapons secure and certainly no one is eager to get into a gunfight. The idea that Americans have some kind of abnormal bloodlust is just pure nonsense coming from people who view the US through the prism of a Hollywood movie or the twisted worldview of the Zio-media, whose agenda is to disarm the populace while they remain safely ensconced in guard-gated communities amongst a phalanx of bodyguards.
The reality is that, once you’ve adjusted the statistics to account for the race of the perps (as well as the victims) you’ll see that the US is basically at par with Europe as a whole…certainly not the safest country in the world, but, well, normal in that respect.
On summer vacation in 1989, I read this Time article providing the details of every single gun death in the US for a week, 464 deaths in total. The overwhelming majority were suicides by seniors diagnosed with terminal illnesses.

Gun control in the US ? Laughable. The most that the police can do is apply limited gun control, taking over guns which were legally purchased, as they were automatically registered with the police. However, you cannot take over guns which are not registered, and which are in the hands of criminals. Worse for the US, so many guns have been sold in the 20th and 21st centuries that the criminal element can easily get hold of them.
America is stuck with its gun mentality. The crimes which you see now are nothing to what is coming if the dollar crashes, as analysts expect it to do.
My wife and I were surprised one night about 1:15am by an individual who had broken into our house through a garage window. I had been leaving for work at around 1am for a couple of weeks. That particular night, I didn’t. The man was after my wife believing me to be on my way to work and went for the bedroom with the air conditioner running. I didn’t own a firearm then, but shortly after that, I owned not only a handgun but a shotgun and a dog. The only thing that kept him from coming through that unlocked bedroom door was he heard me asking my wife “you got it hon”. By it I meant the phone, but he didn’t know that. Still he stood in the hallway for a couple of minutes debating with himself whether he should try anyway, before leaving the way he’d come.
Murder is sad, a tragedy and performed by diseased minds. If you think that legal gun owners giving up their weapons, leaving only those that disregard the law armed, you’re a bit on the ignorant side, scratch that, you’re just plain idiotic. Imagine if when a shooter came to an assembly of people and went to open fire, a few potential victims had firearms with the ability to take him out. A lot less fatalities. Here’s a question for you, where do you think a shooter would most apt want to go to commit his heinous deed, an area where everybody is armed, or where nobody is armed? If you think where everybody’s armed, seek mental help. Yes society needs to concentrate on the causes of these shooting events rather than the mechanical device used for the purpose. It’s time to end the hysterical knee jerk reaction and address the causes.

Strange video. As alien a viewpoint to a non american mind as a Jihadist training video or a Japanese cartoon porn. Normal citizens in USA have weapons more deadly than even the special forces of some countries. The problem is that USA not only normalises violence, it worships it as a noble Christian deed. The massive cultural difference with America is that the ordinary civilians support this violence and a kind of vigilantism. The closest thing to USA in terms of violence are the mountain peoples of the Kavkaz, and tribes of the Amazon basin, where wrongs are avenged with murder on a common basis.

The violence we see in the US must in some way be connected to its economic system. The American mythology of individual freedom, seems to a sizeable part of the population mean that your first goal in life is personal gain, no matter what stands in the way.
The vast Majority of Violent Crime in the U.S. is committed by a single Demographic Fraction, Black Males under the age of 30. Remove that part of the Stats, and the Violence Rate for the U.S. is one of the Lowest in the World. Outside of bolshevik-leftist controlled Cities, the percentage of people who own Guns is probably above 80%. I see People every Day who carry a Sidearm, (and many carry them concealed, too) and there aren’t any Shootouts or even Accidents with Guns. Robbing Stores around here seldom happens; if someone other than the Shopkeeper isn’t Armed, it’s likely the next person who walks through the Door, is.
Fear of Guns is Irrational, and this is ‘played’ by the bolsheviks and their ‘media’ to try and pass more (non-Constitutional) laws against Gun Ownership. But it Isn’t Working, and the Desperation of the leftists is now Exposed; they want to Ban Guns in order to protect their Control of a Corrupt Government. Sadly, they read no History, and don’t Understand that the Rebellion that started this Nation’s path to Independence was due to an attempt by the Government (British Crown) to Confiscate Weapons and Ammo from the People.

The video could be great, but the pro-gun attitude of the creator is annoying. Imho, all the points about the destruction of society and relationships are to the point. Nevertheless I’m wondering: Why does anybody need a gun in the first place?
The reason the people have guns is to protect themselves from predatory elites. The elite was never comfortable with the enlightenment, and would prefer to return to their despotic roots.

I’m not sure if I’m with this video – the guy has a horrible accusing voice – I don’t fit into any of the categories that he has accused me of – and the photos in the pictures – many of the women holdinb placards against guns – seem quite lovely women – I didn’t see any transgenders holding placards in this video –

One thing I do think about the topic of gun control – how many of the mass murderers have liscenced guns ? Because there are no laws that will prevent people who want to own guns – from owning guns – its just registered or not – in fact – if I were to own firearms – I would not register them.

1. Hunting
2. Precision shooting (I own an air/rifle and a .22 rifle). This is, in essence, a competition against yourself. Those who like precision shooting will understand what I mean
3. Self defense and defense of your family members from predators, be they on two or four legs (please remember that people living in rural areas, at least in Serbia, and presumably so in many other parts of the world, must guard their estate and livestock against wolves, bears, wild hogs and such)
I shall describe here an event that took place some 30 years ago on Shavnik mountain in wintertime. A villager, an old man, heard disturbance outside during the night, took his double barrel shotgun and exited the house. A bear (she bear, actually) has broken into a sheep corral (for want of better expression) and was slaughtering his sheep. He fired once and missed, fired second time and hit the bear in the jaw. The bear however did not run, but attacked him and with her claws ripped the side of his neck, performing, in essence, a lateral pharyngotomy. Than she grabbed him but could not bite because her jaw was shattered. His son, who ran out in the meantime with his M57 7.62mm pistol (similar to Soviet renowned TT) emptied the whole magazine into the bear, killing her. The old man survived.
Background checks are never enough for “the State”. Canada had an effective and mostly agreeable background check system called the Firearms Acquisition Certificate. This was not enough for the firearms confiscation – er – control crowd and a Possession license was added, including continuous computer background checks of all firearms license holders. When the old FAC expired, it just meant that you needed to get another one before you could legally acquire another gun. With the PAL, when it expires you are an instant criminal. Any questions?
