The ongoing events show that many of the Russia-focused web sites and blogosphere don’t have a clear-eyed view on the situation around the world.
For example, one can find articles arguing Russia strictly adheres to the Minsk agreements. That in turn is offered as the reason Russia has the ability and the military resources to come to grips with the Syrian issue and even to embark on a military build-up in that country. Many have made that assertion! The next step should be direct involvement in the Syrian conflict or, at least, Russian airborne missions or tactical air operations.
Without any doubt, the Middle East crisis poses a threat for Russian homeland security, but it’s naive to believe that the simmering Ukraine conflict at the Russian western border is now a lower priority. Likewise its irresponsible to claim that Russia has prevailed in the Ukrainian crisis or gained the upper hand.
The rise of the Russophobic hysteria, the re-building of Ukraine’s military by US and NATO, the humanitarian crisis in Eastern Ukraine, finally, the emergence of a regime hostile to Russia cannot be described as a geopolitical victory by the Kremlin.
However, a significant part of the local Russian and the international pro-Russian blogosphere has rushed to deny the incontestable facts.
The conviction that the victory will be quick and easy is a dangerous delusion.
In addition, today’s Russia is facing a number of external challenges–economic sanctions, diplomatic and media pressure by the US and its allies, international terrorism; as well as internal threats. Russia still sufers from a high level of corruption. Russian political elite remains divided over a number of crucial issues on foreign and domestic policy.
SouthFront Analysis & Intelligence appeals to all constructive forces to take steps to study and assess the actual state of things. It’s very dangerous to succumb to illusions, panic or rely on an arrogant faith in success.
We call on all volunteers, experts, organizations concerned over these issues to unite their powers and efforts to provide an independent estimate of the ongoing crisises and Russia’s role in them.
The truth is our power.

I can’t step into a ring and proclaim myself ‘the winner.’
What I can do, is fight my a** off, as if I’ve got nothing left to lose, to become a winner, and once the dust is settled, someone else will declare who’s ‘victorious.’
Putin has entered the ring.
Let the games begin.
These are not games. This is life and death and we are all victims of it wherever we are. Russia has always followed a policy of war avoidance even while she mobilizes for the inevitable….and continues to talk throughout hostilities. China deploys troops to help Russia in Syria. Right now the neo cons in the NSA are advocating for a first strike and some of their generals are telling them it is possible and how many casualties’ America will suffer. With China in the frey, this is not possible but the US has sought to be able to carry on two major wars at the same time. Only they have seriously underestimated the ingenuity of their adversaries. They didn’t see the Russia China axis as possible. Iran has boots on the ground now in Syria. Russia will provide technology and expertise in ferreting out the enemy. The US is going to temporarily retreat and cooperate on the Syrian Front and lit fires all over Europe East and West…and try to do the same in China as well. In the Ukraine, as I have said from the beginning. The Junta will eat itself, the regular army will end up in conflict with the militias and then Donbas forces can join with them to rid the country of the NAZI plague. What follows in Ukraine I do not know. The Rada does not have the support of the people or the NAZI brigades. Only the regular army against the Junta can win respect of the people who do not want either Nazi or Junta. Fraternal relations may resume after war criminals are eliminated or ICC. If the US does not retreat, eventually there will be ww3. Whatever happens now in Donbas or Syria they will be back and try again….Unless civil war breaks out in their own country and they are nearing the tipping point. That is why a demagogue like Trump can show up like Napoleon.
Speaking of the US generals and their first strike nuclear philosophy, a Dr.Strangelove quote is timely:
General “Buck” Turgidson: Mr. President, we are rapidly approaching a moment of truth both for ourselves as human beings and for the life of our nation. Now, truth is not always a pleasant thing. But it is necessary now to make a choice, to choose between two admittedly regrettable, but nevertheless *distinguishable*, postwar environments: one where you got twenty million people killed, and the other where you got a hundred and fifty million people killed.
President Merkin Muffley: You’re talking about mass murder, General, not war!
General “Buck” Turgidson: Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks.
Art does mirror life….although I have heard some argue the opposite….dualist arguments to be sure.
Excellent example and closer to the truth that many would imagine.
Cheers,
RR
“These are not games.”
Putin has often said that he must put emotion aside. Decisions must not be based on emotions.
Do that and you are in the game to win. Like an extremely high stakes chess game with but with many more pieces on the board.
Oh the best and brightest war game all day…then get in their vehicles and go home to their wife and kids….when things get real…..you do not get up from the table and walk away. You live has ended. What you don’t know is….nothing played out the way you planned and gamed you life away preparing for.

South Front’s admonition: Yes. we must keep our wits about us. This CNN piece is a clever one replete with lies . All of a sudden Kerry’s “Russian forward base and auxiliary troops to protect it ” has become something sinister. Kerry plays the good cop but the bad cop runs the show always. Transponders off? Maybe so that the NATO Turks who are busy bombing anti Assad Kurds don’t catch on too quickly or so that folks with communication/surveillance equipment on the ground stay ignorant. And not an Isil in sight? Just al Nusra and generic brand takfiris who are anti Assad and they are OK because? because they hate Russians . Now those Kurds who are anti Assad don’t hate Russians so they get bombed by US ally Turkey. So What has become the lowest common denominator in Syria? Hatred of Russia. This has just begun to get nasty.

We should have a fact checking commentary like what they do after Presidential debates. And, yes, if I were on the board of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists I’d edge that minute hand closer to midnight.
Teranam 13,
Silly media is always noting that Russian military is flying w its transponder off. they never mention that ALL military planes fly w it off.
Here’s a brief article explaining everything Assad has done since Geneva communique to make govt more democratic, etc.
9/25/15 http://www.voltairenet.org/article188819.html New Consultations for Syria in Geneva. For the last three years, the government has implemented the Geneva Communiqué of June 2012, while the foreign-based opposition has refused to do so, hoping for military victory.
Ban Ki-moon’s representative for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, works under the orders of the NATO Director of Political Affairs, Jeffrey Feltman, who tried to frame Assad w false witnesses for killing of Hariri.
This brief Meyssan article summarizes incredible deceit by the West in the past 3 yrs of negotiation.
Good find, Penelope. Thanks.
Nicely written caution.
If justice was easy, the Brooklyn Dodgers would reside in Brooklyn, and tickets would still be 50 cents.
The fight will be long and hard. Humankind’s capacity for kicking themselves in the ass appears to have no limits.
Just building a resistance within the belly of the beast will be a task of herculean proportions.
“But the emotion of the 19th Century is not dead!
Delacroix is still at his easel, and Marat in his tub.
And we will pick up the hat and place it back on his head.
But to restore our Democratic Republic, That’s the rub.”
IMAGINE
Very true! As important as the Syrian crisis is for the distant security of Russia and all Eurasia. The Ukrainian civil war (or inner Russian civil war would be a better name for it) is the single most important concern for the security. And the very survival of Russia herself. And nothing takes priority over that, whether or not some in Russia (maybe in the Kremlin too) recognize that fact.
The war in Donbas and Syria are the same project.
The US idiot-analysts, relying o such top-notch intel-sources as the Hollywood Reporter, DEBKA Files and Mad Max Magazine, came to the conclusion that the Red Army would spend the next decade staring paralyzed at Kiev, fingers crossed, hoping the bad Ukr-Army wouldn’t start a new offensive. No such luck.
Lattaika, a couple of days ago. Satellite photos show a lot of work going on at the airport. John Kerry explains what it is all about. “Nothing! Our Russian friends have a couple of Army personnel down there and they are repainting their barracks. Can’t blame them for that, i guess…”
And so it happened. Accompanied by a complete Western media black-out, the Russians have built up – almost over-night – a small but formidable military presence in Syria. And went right away into action. With high-command-level coordination with the SAA and the SAAF, but also with Hezbollah, Iranian detachments and even the Kurdish YPT.
The initial results of the Russian lead Anti-Takfiri coalition are staggering. Palmyra, Al-Raqqah and other key cities are close to being liberated. The tasks of sealing of the Takfiri supply lines to Turkey in the north, and to Lebanon, Israel, Jordan in the south are well on their way. Dozens of fierce local battles all over Syria are reported. Intercepted cell phone traffic indicates that the Takfiri mercenaries are already complaining about being abandoned and betrayed by their CIA-Mossad masters.
And should Poroshenko indeed announce with great fanfare the start of the Holy Winter War against Russia, the Red Army won’t hold back and obliterate, not the poor Ukrainian foot-soldiers, but all NATO installations, CIA-control centers, etc. Everything of importance has been tagged and is just awaiting its destruction.
***interesting information here, but where are the links ? – mod
I think in this life….some things can be taken as a given. Just as we all would have been surprised if there were not Russian advisor’s in the Donbas. The question the US has to ask itself is this….”Do you feel lucky kid….well do ya?” BTW China is also involved in Syria. Uyghur’s are being used in Syria. I guess they will shoot them “even if they find them in the crapper at the airport.”

Very well explained. Nobody can count on the victory till end of the game, but the strong believe in justice can help a bit.
Q; but the strong believe in justice can help a bit.
R; To stick to pugilism; justice is the best ringmaster.
Yes, you’ve pointed out something very crucial. The pro-Russ blogosphere is now awash with news of Russia prevailing in the geopolitical scene. We see words like ‘checkmate’ and ‘endgame’. While that is indeed cheer-worthy, it gives the illusion that things are nearing their end, at least where the Mid-East is concerned. I think it’s far from over. Russia should tread ever more cautiously.
Which is why I admire greatly Pres. Putin‘s magnanimity in all this. It is really telling on many levels. Time and again, he has not only proven to be a great statesman, but also a steward of higher things. The West has forgotten this valuable teaching of Christ. The master is the one who serves. The West only knows aggression and coercion. Worse, these agressions and coercions are done in the name of easy money (the petrodollar). Humility flies over the top of their heads.
@ Robert,
I’m the ‘the glass is half full’ kinda guy. I don’t like to stare at problems, but to solve them.
Putin is dealing with FUKUS here; a monstrous entity, that has been getting away with war, war crimes, crimes against humanity, wanton pillaging and endless murder and killing sprees, for centuries now.
To expect it to step politely aside, would be foolish, because it won’t budge. Mr. Putin will not huff and puff and blow anyone’s house away, in public, but given the fact that Porochenko’s 100K killers have not made a move, tells me Mr. Putin has made something very clear to the butcher from Berlin and the faux pas from France; “The KKK moves, they’re dead.”
Well, that’s just foul mouthed me, and Mr. Putin is well versed enough to get that message across his way, but the carnage that would have engulfed the Donbass and its population had those 100K troops moved in, would’ve been one big bloody disaster.
FUKUS, in it’s sheer arrogance, completely underestimated Mr. Putin’s [6th dimensional chess] moves. Compare that with the proud Peace Prize winner Obombi and his ilk of warmongering deadbeats, whacking the drums of war to bits and pieces, with the bones of all the innocent who have died becasue of their wicked and demonic policies and what do ‘you’ see?.
The 21st century first real statesman. ‘You’ and I can disagree with the man’s mind, but not the foreign policies he already has implemented and his next steps in the ME, as he ‘waltzes’ over the world stage, where the west’s moral midgets, neatly tucked away along the sideline, are left with nothing but badmouthing everything Putin does [or not].
After Monday speech, MSM’s cacophony will swell till it reverberates around the globe, but it will falter this time, because people know truth, especially when it stares them in the face. The truth will step onto the plate, come Monday, and the name on it’s jersey will read, ‘Putin.’
“the butcher from Berlin”
The butcher from Berlin is worth keeping an eye on. It seems some are trapped in the matrix and are trying to break out.
Minsk II. The butcher grabs the frog by the ear and drags him off to Minsk?? Why?
Refugees? Bringing extreme right into power is a risk – but.. it seems to be bringing forward the breakup of the EU. And busting Greece also helps the break up of the EU.
Trying to put Minsk II into perspective here. What’s happening?
US controls EU. Merkel is breaking up EU?
Am I imagining things or is this a possibility?
Germany is the first vassal to side with Russia and say Assad may stay.
@ Peter,
Q; Am I imagining things or is this a possibility?
R; Everything’s possible, Peter. So,’we’ simply can’t rule anything out, no matter how absurd it is or looks like, on the surface.
Your angle is as valid as mine [or anyone else, for that matter].
My problem is that I’m basically not a mean spirited person, so it’s quite daunting to think along lines I hardly ‘see’ or can ‘find.’
FUKUS is stumbling through the dark at the moment and doesn’t like it one bit. It now runs after the facts and that means FUKUS doesn’t have any [or full] control over the ongoing process anymore.
It also makes you wonder why FUKUS is spending billions of $$$ on all those agencies, when a couple of men with ski masks pop up out of nowhere and start shooting.
Add to that;
1) The carefully planned trap to let the Ukraine drag Russia with it, down under, in an unwinnable war, failed.
2) The attempt to drive a wedge between China and Russia, failed.
3) The attempt to derail Russia’s economy, failed.
4) The hastily implemented sanctions against Russia, failed.
5) The Saudi oil price war against Russia [at the behest of FUKUS], failed.
6) The attempt to bomb Syria back to the Stone Age, failed.
7) The attempt to ‘regime-change’ Syria into a FUKUS-friendly puppet state, failed
…and on and on and on. Every time it’s Russia that prevents FUKUS from getting it ‘right.’
So, Russia is one unpredictable, unpleasantly sharp bushel of thorns, strapped around FUKUS’ pulsating skull.
Merkel is a tool, and is used as such. She’s the enemy within, you don’t want those individuals roaming around in ‘your’ camp, in the middle of various ongoing crises. Crises that all sail pretty darn close to the beginning of WWIII.
FUKUS has lost the plot and now tries to find it back with Merkel’s help. They need to know what Putin’s next step will be in order to prevent it or sabotage it.
FUKUS knows the winds of change are blowing in over Russian lands and they will do everything within their power to halt it. No matter the costs, no matter the consequences.
This is like the guy who lost his girlfriend, and now is about to kill her, so none else can ‘have’ her.
And that, my friend, is an actually pretty scary scenario that’s about to unfold..
Nord Stream is on and so is a high speed rail from Berlin to Moscow. US will cooperate only for PR reasons…but this is just a minor stall. It is still PNAC all the way….the US put all it’s eggs in one basket-military conquest. Russia, China, Iran are all prepared-“can we have our drone back” lol
And the USS Donald Cook…..pause…The CSTO is also on board. ISIS will be wiped out in Syria and Iraq. What does that leave the US but to light fires in the former Soviets who have been seduced by the American Whore? In 1970 Guess Who from the country formerly known as Canada wrote this song about America. It would be great if it were played all over the world once again.
American woman gonna mess your mind

Yes that song rings true. I have always said America is like a pretty princess that enchanted everybody with great bs n marketing, but is really a bossy micromanaging slave owning psychopath that is attempting to turn the whole world into her personal property
You know I can’t even watch American news media-Women’s liberation? They use sex to sell so called news….I would rather watch Press TV where Muslim Modesty allows you to focus on what is between the ears of the women who is speaking rather than focusing on her cleavage and hair. Seriously, we are biologically hardwired to be attracted to one another. Pheromones are beyond my mental control……Yet fem Nazi say is you look at a women you are a misogynist. No I am a man-stop sending pheromone valentines and maybe I won’t be distracted? You see how impossible these social political agenda’s are? I have encountered very few women in my sixty years who did not appreciate the opening of a door, the pulling back of a chair to let them sit down or a compliment regarding some aspect of their appearance One in a Million may have a problem with that and yet… they Sure do use it to sell their products don’t they. War included.
I´m from Finland and because Finnish main media has been a long only a propaganda tool for the West, I also watch and read Press TV and I really like it. Definately one of best news medias. And I´m christian.
Oh the propaganda is just so terrible everything is what it is not. They first buy up the press…then they get the rest. And there is nothing they cannot buy in this world. Or so they think. Good to hear from you.

Glad you enjoyed it….I hope it gets to the boys in the Donbas somehow and they blast it from their tanks after they take Kiev!

Greetings RR,
I saw them live in my younger days, in 1973/74.
I used to post Rock n Roll on this blog as appropriate. Glad someone else is doing it too.
It just brigthens the day!
Best regards,

This is a serious and informed blog. I don’t like to clutter it up even with my own ramblings half the time. And I am more big picture. Well let’s hope Putin’s global diplomacy can help to restore some semblance or sanity in Washington. Rationality has a persistence about it. Reality Asserts Itself….is actually a newshow…on the realnews network out of Baltimore…Started up by a former CBC guy who couldn’t hack the B.S at the corporation any longer.
Actually RT could look to that site for interesting guests as could Press TV. Russia Insider, If anyone is listening out there and wants to do some poaching.
Cheers,
RR
RR I like to lighten up with music and ramblings too…and Saker loves it….we all really enjoy your comments.
South Front you’re the best in integrity. You all are amazing, and if I had more time, I would volunteer. I’ll keep it in mind. And I’ll continue to contribute a little bit to your essential work. Thanks guys.
With Ukraine/Crimea Putin was in a losing situation whichever way he went. To do nothing meant losing strategic Crimea. 60 to 80% of the “western” public only get their news from the MSM. Crimea was a great propaganda coupe for the west as this was spun as invasion and annexation
The move into Syria has cut through the propaganda. Judging by the comments on articles in MSM, the majority of readers are ignoring the spin and backing Russia.
If this move can be backed up by quickly destroying ISIS and bringing some sort of peace to Syria, hopefully with UN backing or some form of coalition, the US controlled MSM spin will be dead in the water.
@ Peter,
Q; the US controlled MSM spin will be dead in the water.
R; I expect FUKJUS to start firing on all cylinders, dig every dirty trick, out of every agency’s rendition room and go full steam ahead with trying to torpedo Putin’s peace plan every step along the way. They will unleash whatever they can come up with in their attempt to derail Russian financially and economically, and then some.
FUKUS will not sit on its hands and do nothing; it will be a mean and foul thing to watch, but at least ‘we’ know what’s coming. The most crucial element, the element of surprise, has already been lost, so, the rest is just gnawing ‘our’ way through this unfolding, staged play.
The wheels have been set in motion [by Putin] and whether they’ll spin fast or slow, only time will tell, but at least something is in the books and something else is afoot. The coming months will not be a good time to be a [real] terrorist.
OT.
On his Facebook feed, Russel Bonner ‘Tex’ Bentley reported that he was shot under mysterious circumstances:
Just to clarify, the wound was not physical, it was metaphysical, which, of course, is way worse. An arrow shot in my back, all the way from Moscow. But I am already recovering. It is not a problem as far as my work goes. That will continue. But sometimes this job makes me real tired. It is not a joke or exaggeration when I say that Info War is harder than being a trigger puller at the Front. At the Front, at least you know who you can trust.
Cryptic message…will have to visit web site. Disillusionment is setting in. The cause is just, the settling of accounts inevitable….for every country on the globe and their comprador’s.

Not an auspicious beginning for SouthFront Analysis and Intelligence team. Let’s look at this.
“The rise of the Russophobic hysteria, the re-building of Ukraine’s military by US and NATO, the humanitarian crisis in Eastern Ukraine, finally, the emergence of a regime hostile to Russia cannot be described as a geopolitical victory by the Kremlin.”
The rise of Russophobic hysteria is not a benefit to Russia but it is certainly nothing new, nor is it continuing to rise. The people are slowly getting there, and especially in Germany public opinion has swung significantly against the anti-Russian agitprop. Resentment of sanctions is spreading through the EU. Is it really more foolish to be cheered by this than to ignore or deny it?
It is highly doubtful that the U.S. and NATO have rebuilt the Ukrainian army more than it did the NAF at Debaltsevo. Both the U.S. and NATO are giving lip service to military support while propping up this façade by giving them junk — Poland gave them some used clothing, U.S. has given them a discontinued military vehicle, the Humvees, which have been removed from the maintenance roster for about a year and are unusable unless Ukraine can replace the tires and repair them, which it can’t. Not to mention the Saxons.
The Ukrainians cannot raise any more men and their survey of those they have indicated that substantial numbers are planning to desert at the first opportunity, even whole battalions. The U.S. trainees for the “designated moderates” in Syria have, when unloaded in Syria, defected to the al Nusra Front. U.S. ability to train foreign troops is far from established. UAF’s ability to learn isn’t established either.
People are suffering and dying in East Ukraine and I can’t dismiss this. But the Donbass has a food surplus and is exporting forage (to neighbouring oblasts) with the final days of the harvest beginning. If the Ukrops are eating grasshoppers for breakfast, the NAF will be eating eggs and pancakes. Compared to the total disruption of last year’s harvest, this is magnificent.
Just what regime hostile to Russia has emerged? It can’t be Ukraine; they have been hostile to Russia all along. The secession was not exactly a friendly act. The regime we see now is mostly the Orange Revolution regime recycled.
The peacock’s fan-spreading along the contact line did not reveal a rebuilt or a formidable army. Many areas were reduced from the height of its power, and it was beaten then. Weak in manpower and fire power. If they could have, they would have.
And one more advantage NAF has now. Slowly the defeatist chorus of last year has gone diminuendo. Unless you revive it.
Cassandra, one thumb vertical. You nail it.
Your facts are exactly the correct answer. The only downside to the present state of the militia is prolonged delay for combat leads to loss of discipline. Soldiers get drunk or find drugs which are aplenty in the Donbass. Jealousies surface. And always in East Ukraine, the temptations to sell arms and fight over turf.
Constant training gets boring. They will need rotation away from Donbass, or some sort of rebuilding, reconstruction team work to build homes and facilities. And paychecks.
Overall, Minsk 2 looks to be extended into next year, as will be elections (most probably).
The noose tightens on the junta, and more length of rope extended (the fall will be from a higher gallows to a greater depth).
Even an unpleasant Frozen Conflict which may result is victory. What was the goal for Russia? Freeze Ukraine. Keep Ukraine out of EU and NATO. A frozen conflict accomplishes that.
The issue that prevents total victory is not the war in Donbass. It is sanctions.
Yet, sanctions has helped the RF economy turn inward. Imports are down by 35%. That means internal substitutes are now Russian-produced. Another victory.
Russia is also spreading its wings. See Syria.
And we have the policy statement coming on global issues at the UN as Putin addresses the world.
There are many accomplishments of great significance. Not the least Crimea.
Should we be preparing victory-over-the-Hegemony parades?
Of course not.
But the big cannons are silent in Donbass. Russia is rising to its multi-polar role, and leading the way in many geographic places (Arctic, Far East, Central Asia, Middle East). This is leadership that even China, ten times larger, could not provide.
Will Novorossiya rise from the Ukrainian mess?
Some day. When the EU crumbles a little, when the Hegemon is weaker, when Eurasia is more evident, when China enters the region.
Language and culture and history will lead to that Novorossiya. And it may be without a shot fired.
Putin has another decade of work to do. Let’s be patient. Keep the mind focused. Prayer and thoughts direct human actions.
The half-life of evil as vile as Ukraine’s is very brief. It consumes itself rapidly.
ISIS has a longer half-life. That is the larger challenge, to manage that war to a swift conclusion in Syria and Iraq. Hopefully, with Shoigu and the Iranian Quds forces on the same page, enough force will be brought rapidly to trap and annihilate these psychopaths defiling humanity.
The tide has turned. But the pleasant days of peace are still far away. Yet, facts speak loudly.
The Nazis cannot win. The Hegemon will not rule forever. The journey is filled with storms and setbacks, but the destination is clear. Four civilizations against one. We are odds-on going to be winners.
The West had better get with the program or our societies are toast and many KNOW it. MOST do not as they are too busy trying to put dinner on the table and raise their families without even the privileges granted to serf’s, such as Tenure on the Land…My fall-back position is always this…Warran Buffets says, ” There is a CLASS WAR going on and MY SIDE is WINNING” now if anyone on the left proposes class struggle-it is verboten, gay rights, animal rights, rights for the whales….any thing that doesn’t interfere with PROPERTY RIGHTS is on the table……Bernie Sanders’ the “socialist” suggests that Saudi Arabia should be responsible for the security of the Middle East(!)-what kind of socialist is that I wonder? Did he even read Engels? America is a third world country. They are already a police state. The present regime in Canada is also fascist. All of civil society is trying “democratically” to reverse this and get on track….Peaceful Co-Existence is not possible in a CLASS Society….CAPITAL RULES….and the PROFIT IMPERATIVE supersedes all other considerations….
Profit is the social surplus. It needs to be Distributed properly and in a democratic fashion…..Nothing short of socialist revolution is going to solve this problem. Capital’s solution to crisis is war – Socialism …or…. Barbarism. Parliamentary talk shops like Syriza…paves the way for Fascists when They ULTIMATELY FAIL!
Anyway, I am 60 and have spent many years going over all of this and not going to debate all the straw men and falsifications of history etc etc, Right now Anti Imperialism is the struggle and that is where I am at. Whatever is preserved of Socialism in the CPP and the historic memory of the people in the former USSR and around the world, South America….we can only continue to lend support in the right direction and learn from out past mistakes. March Separately, STRIKE TOGETHER…we can sort the rest out later and there is plenty to sort out to say the least.
“The rise of Russophobic hysteria is not a benefit to Russia”
Why not?
Hello Cassandra! We are calling for the un-biased discussion on the topic. We are ready to post your opinion in case if you add some facts to your attitude: as manpower of DPR/LPR/Kiev forces, number of military equipment, budget etc…
Kind regards,
SouthFront Team
YOU are the “analysis and intelligence team” but I am the one who has to assemble for you, for the second or third time, the sources and statistics?
What’s wrong with this picture? Why did you publish this article if you have not already assembled this information? Don’t you have a library?
You can find progressive descriptions of the demining of the agricultural land and the harvests of winter wheat and barley, spring wheat, hay, the restoration of egg-producers, the wrap-up of the corn harvest, the construction of a bulk sales facility for the agricultural surplus on the DNR official website. You can find an itemized listing of the UAF build-up at the front on this website. Also on this website, posted by me, you can find a pre-Crimean secession Russian evaluation of the Ukrainian military “might” which finds it negligible — of 41,000 soldiers on the rolls, for instance, it estimates a maximum of 6,000 combat ready.
The Kiev BUDGET? You’ve got to be kidding. Anyone who believes the Kiev defense budget is loosely correlated to the UAF military capacity needs to hire a tutor.
My bias is against Strelkovite disinformation and defeatism. What’s yours?

I recently have written an article about the mass immigration to Europe and the fact that it has been organized from within the EU: https://themolesite.wordpress.com/en-migrants-to-europe-is-a-setup/
If you think the quality is enough and it could be of interest to your website, I could also write about similar issue, such as the middle east crisis and islam.
Hello! Please, write an email to info@southfront.org

Thank you for your article, I saved me a copy.
Only one objection: Those so called “AntiFascists” and “Green Eco” trolls in Germany are zombified fools and are infiltrated and even financed and set up by Israel and the CIA. That’s why instead of fighting Fascists in Kiew they instead are being sent around Germany and Austria to prevent true Antifascist Anti=-War Anti-NATO Anti-USA Anti-Kiew demonstrations from being successful.
They are not educated but feels as if they were.
Their only intellectual action mostly consists of carrying USA- and Israel- flags with them, loudly shouting foolish slogans like “Nie wieder Deutschland! USA USA USA!”.
Sounds crazy? Then wathc here, Juergen Elsaesser attempted to hold a rally against Western aggression towards Russia, several times across Germany and Austria. And every time the same mob had enough money to follow him everywhere and make such noise. (So: somebody must be paying for all of this.)
Watch yourself:
Jürgen Elsässer – Montagsdemo ERFURT 26.Mai
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xLW5pAE_c8
You are wrong with your assumption that “communists” are bringing in all these false “refugees”.
What they are is not “communists” be remote-controlled degenerated half-dead zombie-trolls.
Elsaesser is a true communists, but MSM frame him as being a “Nazi”, as they do with everyone who disagrees with NATO’s Anti-Russia aggression.
THis may sound unbelievable to foreigners, but it is the truth.
In the 70ties the 68’ers still had good leaders and followers.
Most leaders were bought and those who refused were killed.
The Green party base mostly consists of degenerated childsex- and LesbianGay enthusiasts.
Also no exaggeration.
But this has nothing to do with “Communism”.
In East Germany we put such zombies behind bars. And as you see now, it was not all that bad!
Now you can rape childs or women or even murder them, and the German “justice” system will always portrait the criminals as being the victims, maybe because of a bad childhood. And after some years they are being set on free foot and can commit the next murders.
Also no exaggeration. That’s so called “Germany” nowadays.
In my home country it was very damn different. If you want to see a true communist and a country run by communists, then watch here:
Rede von Genosse Egon Krenz
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpiijuyYkts
Berlin, Hauptstadt der DDR Teil 1 / Берлин, ГДР
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZdxuOK3YuE
Guten Tag, Zollkontrolle der DDR! 1/2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FaevotLAnI
In my country we also helped those who really needed shelter such as refugees from US-bombed Vietnam. But after a few yaers, education and work they were sent back and helped re-build their nations.
Be careful with the word “communist”.
There are many idiots and the world that are behind called “communists” by the MSM to harm communist ideas.
Once again: THANKS for your findings and article.

@Martin from Soviet East-Berlin
Hi Martin, I’ll read your reply in detail when I have more time. Looks interesting.
According to my article: I only sticked to the proof I found. I didn’t jump into further conclusions. Your statement “Those so called “AntiFascists” and “Green Eco” trolls in Germany are zombified fools and are infiltrated and even financed and set up by Israel and the CIA.” could absolutely be true. But for that I have not found any conclusive evidence. Maybe you have further into your reply, I still have to read it. We’ll have to see.
For now I also think these lefties are ‘useful idiots’, used by others, but we have to go by the real proof. I wrote this next ‘evidence’, on which I am less proud, because it is showing circumstantial evidence, which is not hard enough. Anyway, I wrote it, because it does tell something, at least the direction, of the EU about migrants:
https://themolesite.wordpress.com/en-eu-and-the-migrants
I am trying to find harder proof of the EU backing the immigration. There is circumstantial evidence that the EU has been infiltrated by higher up people that are also dominating the US politics, see for example Peter Sutherland and his role in Goldman Sachs. But for now, no hard proof. Anyway, I’ll read the rest of your post later on, and anything you might have found will of course lead us closer to the puzzle.
PNAC temporarily stalled….Keep mobilizing for war as you seek Peace just as Stalin did when he signed the treaty with Germany….after everyone else did.
Volgograd is province/oblast, but also city formerly Stalingrad.
A little heavy to be a new secret Sukhoi project, or the fast luminous Foo fighters that the US bomber crews WW 2 saw aloft between their formations so many occasions on their bombing of Germany.

Very interesting article on Fort Russ.It seems the utterly repulsive Russophobe Savik Shuster has had his TV show canceled. That would be similar to the US government ordering “60 Minutes” in the US to be canceled. And Shuster has now approached ,you guessed it, “Russia”,about getting a show on Russian TV.He says, “I have a constructive offer for my Russian colleagues. Let us have an hour a week. Just one hour. And we’ll tell you all about Ukraine”.Hmmm,I’m intrigued by what he means by “tell you all about Ukraine”.If he knows the kind of “dirt” I suspect he does,he may quickly find himself in jail or “disappeared” unless he exits Ukraine pretty quickly.I remember that loathsome fellow at the time of maidan trying to glorify the coup makers.Having them on his program constantly, feeding propaganda to the Ukrainian people. And he’s been on the Russophobic line since then. But as much as I despise him.I think the Russians should seriously consider his offer. The dirt he could broadcast might be priceless .If he’s trying to trick them they can always throw him out of Russia.

Greetings,
The Chinese has joined the Russian in Syria.
Mohamed
Certainly, thanks to the idiot Erdogan, China’s “Uighur Issue” can also be partly settled on the Plains of Syria.
The credibility of Debka aside, it nonetheless looks a plausible scenario.
And with the Japanese now unrestrained by a pacifist Constitution, and printing their way to QE-Hell, China needs to reduce possible distractions, secure the wild Turkoman spirits on its western border, and reduce risks around its Silk Road trade routes with Russia and the broader SCO.
MoA reports: “The Turkestan Islamic Party, Uighur Islamists who were smuggled by Turkey from China to Syria, now trains child soldiers in Idlib. Does Erdogan believe that China will ignore them? Or will it rather send its navy and a special force brigade to eradicate that looming danger? ” (Syria Turns The Corner, http://www.moonofalabama.org)
One of the comments says: “Debka just reported that “the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning-CV-16 docked at the Syrian port of Tartus, accompanied by a guided missile cruiser.””
Another says: “It seemed inconceivable that China would get drawn into the Syrian war just a few months ago. Perhaps they view it as a necessary antidote to Turkey supporting Uigher fighters in Idlib. Maybe China is still smarting after being bamboozled into supporting the UNSC resolution to give air cover to the Libya rebels which resulted in the over throw of the Qadaffi government. In Libya this led to the immediate expulsion of 20,000 Chinese workers who working in the oil fields and the end of Chinese business contracts. Maybe time for a little revenge on their part.”
Another notes: “Western naval sources reported Friday that a Chinese landing craft, the Jinggangshan, with a 1,000-strong marine battalion had reached the Red Sea en route for the Mediterranean off Syria. According to DEBKAfile, Beijing has already deployed a number of warships opposite Syria in secret. If the latest report is confirmed, this will be the largest Chinese deployment in the Middle East in its naval history…..”
How long before the new tune in town becomes “Erdogan Must Go!”

Mr. Putin does me proud. He honors the martial arts [world], both as a judoka as well as a gentleman.
He does not underestimate his adversaries, and, as weird as it may sound, he respects them. For those of you who’re not familiar with the essence of martial arts, the concept of understanding your opponent and misleading him/her into believing everything you are not… or might be… or…. is crucial and forms a solid base to launch successful counter attacks from. As odd as it may sound, it’s all rooted in respect.
That’s on a 101 scale. Putin has entire countries to deal with [including his own], so everything becomes so much more complicated. The ripple effect of one move, might destroy the impact of the next. This must be the moral equivalent of running on/over water; one misstep and it’s over.
Let’s hope Mr. Putin stays upright and all those idiots with ‘sticks’ remain sidelined.
These are the most interesting and inspiring times of my life. I’m glad I’m witness to it and a little bit a part of it as well.
Whatever president putin does he should not do it half heartedly and not be in hurry to finish within a week as in Georgia 2008 to stop war at West insistence. Irrespective of criticism putin should plan to kill all Isis terrorist and their american and British advisors. Putin should go in with blitz and destroy enemy immediately with no question of ceasefire. America stayed in afgNistN for decades, Saudi in yemen for 7 months then why can not Russia make war for long time rTher thN listening to her Anglo enemies who sponsor terrorist(s) in the first place?
So putin should go in wth massive attack and fast furious battle to eliminate anglos Sponsored terrorists
News flash: Iran’s military helicopter is back in service!
Iran’s Military Copter Returns to Service after Overhaul
September 26, 2015 – 15:17
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Army Ground Force airborne division on Saturday received a military helicopter that has been overhauled inside the country.
A Bell 214 helicopter officially rejoined the Iranian Army Ground Force airborne division’s fleet after undergoing overhaul.

Russian media quoted Iranian officials as saying on Saturday that the two countries had signed deals worth a collective of $21 billion over the purchase of Russian satellite-related equipment as well as airplanes.
The deals were revealed by Manouchehr Manteghi, the managing director of Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) in an interview with Sputnik news agency.
Manteghi said the airplanes were Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100), adding that the deals over the satellite equipment and the superjects were signed during the visit by a top Iranian delegation to Russia for the MAKS-2015 international air show.
A secret US intelligence assessment predicts that Russia will launch military strikes in Syria to boost the government of President Bashar al-Assad and stop advances by Daesh (ISIL) terrorists.
The intelligence, provided to the White House, says the airstrikes would be carried out by Russian fighter jets that were flown to Syria over the last week, The Los Angeles Times reports.
US officials said Russia moved warplanes to a base near the coastal city of Latakia last week. Russia has also stationed T-90 tanks there, and has increased the number of its military flights to the same airfield.

This is an example of how fast events are moving….let’s hope we can get as speedy a resolution of this ISIS phony war…The real coalition to fight ISIS in the Middle East has been formed. It consists of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Hezbollah, CSTO, China. I put Russia in with CSTO…. The regional security organization was initially formed in 1992 for a five-year period by the members of the CIS Collective Security Treaty (CST) — Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, which were joined by Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Belarus the following year. A 1994 treaty reaffirmed the desire of all participating states to abstain from the use or threat of force, and prevented signatories from joining any “other military alliances or other groups of states” directed against members states. The CST was then extended for another five-year term in April 1999, and was signed by the presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. In October 2002, the group was renamed as the CSTO. Uzbekistan that suspended its membership in 1999 returned to the CSTO again in 2006 after it came under international criticism for its brutal crackdown of antigovernment demonstrations in the eastern city of Andijon in May 2005. On June 28, 2012, Uzbekistan announced that it has suspended its membership of the CSTO, saying the organization ignores Uzbekistan and does not consider its views. The CSTO is currently an observer organization at the United Nations General Assembly.
Since you can drive from Damascus to Moscow overland…..their lands….ISIS represents an existential threat to these countries as well. And it is through these countries that PNAC wants to invade Russia. Churchill’s old Soft Underbelly… that he used to delay a Second Front Promised 3 years before it happened….once they realized Russia won the war that is. I was almost flunked out of university for saying so 35 years ago as it wasn’t palatable enough for my Rhodes Scholar professor to swallow…..which only made me work ten times harder and learn ten times more than anyone else in the course. Anyway that was quite a while ago…. Oliver Stone made a movie about it just recently…the needless bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki….you would think he read my decades old paper.
Cheers,
RR

The hyena..er..I mean Poroshenko talked with reporters. And made a stupid “Freudian slip” during the interview:
Peter Poroshenko today talked to journalists, well how did he talk – there were three bodies nodding their heads, asking questions, to which Poroshenko already had written down the answers. But it didn’t smell of journalism, perhaps of alcohol, because Poroshenko said “Russia is destabilizing the situation in the Islamic state”.
Poroshenko: “Nothing will work out. Everyone knows well the role of Russia as a destabilizing factor in the Islamic State, Syria, Ukraine and other places.”
That person called a journalist, instead of drinking water, should have asked: “Where, where is it destabilizing the situation?”
Poroshenko:
“In the Islamic state”
“In the Islamic state”
No more drinks for him.

Those with a basic knowledge of history will realise that the current wars are continuations of an age old battle. For those who draw sustenance from minor victories be they on the battlefield or in the media are entitled and I think should do so. To view these “victories” as pertaining only to the current status is their folly. The battle for control of the earth will continue until such time as there is a definitive victory or humanity and perhaps the earth itself cease to exist. These battles of today all have different reasons attributed to them, theses reasons are illusions, their purpose is, has always been and always will be the control of us and our world. Ultimately it’s winner takes all. Evil doesn’t share and doesn’t give up
A point that has been overseen by most commentators. ISIS is mostly a CIA-Mossad project. Not a Pentagon, IDF project. Which means, and this is key, the US Administration and to a lesser degree the Israeli administration are in a double-bind. The Obama Administration can’t say to Russia, “Leave ISIS alone, these are our people!”, but they also can’t enter the Russian anti-ISIS coalition because that would meant setting up the Pentagon against the CIA. Which is unthinkable.
The unacknowledged rift – if not bottomless pit – between the Pentagon and CIA is one of the major weaknesses of the US. Without it, the Russian move into Syria would not have been possible.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges joins us for an evening in Toronto to speak about “The Great Unraveling.”
Revolutions come in waves and cycles. We are again riding the crest of a revolutionary epic, much like 1848 or 1917, from the Arab Spring to movements against austerity in Greece to the Occupy Movement. In his newest book, Wages of Rebellion, Chris Hedges investigates what social and psychological factors cause revolution, rebellion, and resistance. Drawing on an ambitious overview of prominent philosophers, historians and literary figures, he shows not only the harbingers of a coming crisis but also the nascent seeds of rebellion. Hedges’ message is clear: popular uprisings in the United States and around the world are inevitable in the face of mounting environmental destruction and grotesque wealth polarization.
Recorded in Toronto, 3 September 2015.
