more on creative uses of Russian military equipment from RI:

It’s always hilarious when people write comments or give links “from RI”. Guys, are you kidding? RI is a common news aggregator, not more. “Their articles” are reposts from other sources.
Yes,but it is handy that they gather together articles that we might not see otherwise.I don’t know about you.But I don’t have the time (or desire) to search over hundreds of sites and pick out articles from thousands to read. And certainly not when that involves searching MSM sites.I feel like I need a shower after going to most of those sites. Here,Fort Russ,RT,RI (and a handful more are my regular sites to visit). So,if someone on my favorite sites reports on articles of importance from other sites I’m glad for that.
UB I totally agree with you, I go to RI every day and sometimes find a really good article there…and Alexander Mercouris is a senior editor there…and I like him and where else would you find his articles…?
So this is what was discussed at the U.N.:

Here is some news from Syria.
“On the, 22 October,The Syrian army made significant progress in the southern countryside of Aleppo amid a collapse within the ranks of the militants The Syrian military seized control over the villages of Jouret Aljahash, Rasm al-Sheikh Qiqan, Deir Saliba, and Kafr El-Obeid.”

Liz and for anyone interested, a twitter account here of a Lebanese journalist. Lots of links to news articles ect. This and several other twitter accounts from the area are a good source of information due to links to local news articles, the likes of video of the first use of what appeared to be Smerch rockets with cluster munitions a week or so ago and then video of first use of TOS-1 in the last day or so.

Thanks! I wish there was a site that showed how large population the areas they were capturing have. Right now, many times, I cannot tell if they are capturing a settlement of 150 people or a city with tens of thousands of people. Obviously the larger population the bigger the success.. So far based on what I have been able to find, most of the towns they capture seem to have around 2000 pop.
Here for example, a town they recently captured.
Al-Hamra 1700 pop.

AL RAI Chief International Correspondent @AlraiMediaGroup covering War zones, Mainly Hezbollah, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Mujahedeen, Terrorism, EU & NATO.
Thanks again, the offensive seem to be going full speed in Aleppo province.
From what I can make of it, the town captured are small rural towns. There was an article in RT some time ago where there RT reporter accompanied Syrian forces into a town they had captured. the found the locals had been tied and killed several days before al Nusra left.
RT reporter in Syria account here https://twitter.com/MuradoRT Though I have found the sites of the local reporters to be better.
In the cities advances seem to be a few buildings at a time, although apparently in a section of Aleppo the al Nusra defence has collapsed.
Liz, South Front does exactly what you’re looking for every other day or so
280 articles and 37 videos per month with $3000 deserves respect
The Guardian carried a headline today :
“US forces rescue Iraqi hostages facing ‘imminent execution’ by Isis”
Apparently US forces “rescued” 70 hostages from ISIS who were about to be executed. Hmmm, just when the Iraqi parliament is considering asking for Russias help against the head choppers and the US is giving Iraq the ultimatum of choosing between them and Russia ? Sorry I just don’t buy it not with the timing.
That’s the problem with the thickos who run the pentagon and the US administration, they try to be too clever by half and end up showing their hand to the whole world. Are the Iraqis now supposed to throw up their hands in adulation at what fantastic people the Americans are ? These morons have the mentality of juvenile delinquent adolescents.
The CIA and Mossad still have lots of assets on the ground in Iraq and Syria. Agents, computers with hard-discs full of damning information.
High time to pull most agents out, to destroy sensitive gadgetry and infrastructure in air-strikes.
Holy Mackeral South Front, you must be getting funding from the Kremlin to do all this…good for you ! Great. I’m feeling very poor right now…so I hope that someone will take my place in your fight against the crimes of the times. Thanks…Ann
I’m not sure you are joking or not. So, I’ve decided to answer:
SouthFront doesn’t get any support from governments or corporations. All our budget is the audience’s donations. You can find the progress bar here: http://southfront.org/donate/
Indeed, we don’t collect enough money systematically. So, the team members spend own personal funds to keep SouthFront alive every month. The only reason of the project’s success is volunteer work and high motivation of the team. Thank you for the attention.
Kind regards,
