Debates around the Iranian issue within the UN Security Council are becoming increasingly strained. Tensions are running high. Iran faces groundless accusations. Resolutions are being drafted with a view to dismantling decisions that had been unanimously adopted by the Security Council.
Russia maintains its unwavering commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear programme. Its approval in 2015 was a landmark political and diplomatic achievement that helped fend off the threat of an armed conflict and reinforced nuclear non-proliferation.
In 2019, Russia presented an updated version of its Collective Security Concept for the Persian Gulf Region, outlining concrete and effective paths to unravelling the tangle of concerns in this region. We strongly believe that these problems can be overcome if we treat each other’s positions with due attention and responsibility, while acting respectfully and in a collective spirit.
Like anywhere else in the world, there is no place for blackmail or dictate in this region, no matter the source. Unilateral approaches will not help bring about solutions.
It is essential that the positive experience gained earlier through intensive effort is maintained when building an inclusive security architecture in the Persian Gulf.
Accordingly, we propose convening an online meeting of the heads of state of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, with the participation of the heads of Germany and Iran, as soon as possible, in order to outline steps that can prevent confrontation or a spike in tensions within the UN Security Council. It is important to secure collective support for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 that sets forth an international legal framework for the execution of the JCPOA.
During this leaders’ meeting, we propose agreeing on parameters for joint efforts to facilitate the emergence of reliable mechanisms in the Persian Gulf region for ensuring security and confidence building. This can be achieved if our countries and the regional states combine their political will and creative energy.
We call on our partners to carefully consider this proposal. Otherwise, we could see the further escalation of tension and an increased risk of conflict. This must be avoided. Russia is open to working constructively with anyone interested in taking the situation back from the dangerous brink.
This is an urgent matter. Should the leaders agree in principle to have this conversation, we propose that the foreign ministries of the seven countries agree on a meeting agenda, make the necessary arrangements and schedule a video summit.
It is farcical.
It seems there is nothing to discuss here.
Iran made it clear there will be no discussion with lawbreaker, oath breaker, word breaker, honorless, warmonger, thug US.
US is the one stoking all the tension with its silly attempts to get either a new resolution extending the arms ban or invoking snapback sanctions to which it has dubious right given its withdrawal from the JCPOA
Cicero
The message has spread worldwide and accelerated under the MIGA regime….Uncle Sam is has become agreement incapable and no treaty is worth the paper it is written on.
The tearing up of the JCPOA was another example of Trump’s ‘foreign policy’ which is completely incoherent except when explained from a MIGA perspective of course.
Trump and his cabinet of swamp creatures simply couldn’t wait to tear up this agreement which in their twisted minds was the obvious thing to do, for many reasons not the least of which was it was it was an Obomber initiative.
As much as I can’t stand Barry this is one really one single that foreign affairs initiative that this destructive blowhard accomplished in his entire two terms
I read today that the U.S. has seized Iranian oil tankers destined for Venezuela. The Russians may believe the U.S. is preparing to seriously escalate the situation with Iran and Venezuela (beyond what has happened so far) and is making a diplomatic effort to defuse this escalation and avoid a war that would be dangerous for everyone.
Seizure implies some kind of military operation. From what I read the 4 tankers are not Iranian owned but are charter vessels belonging to other operators & registered under various flags. Two are Greek owned so the US must have put pressure on them to comply with sanctions or face penalties. US wouldn’t touch Iranian owned ships.
Well, they did seize Iranian oil. Was it paid for first ? How much oil can Iran ” lose ” before it needs to respond ? Are countries going to bother with Iranian oil if it might be seized eventually ? You’re down playing this dangerous situation.
This meeting might go much better if the US and their UK lapdog were uninvited and the others could work out a way to isolate the two rogue states that are threatening Iran and MIddle East stability.
I expect this beast will uninvite themself and simply refuse to take part. Even if they did show up it would not be to negotiate. We all know this. They do not do diplomacy. They only make demands, stomp their feet and make threats. So, while well-intentioned this proposed meeting is dead in the water.
Seems Putin is scared. This is what you get for not having a unified front Russia, Iran, and China. As the saying goes ” Stick together now, or hang separately later. “
I think everything Vladimir Putin has ever done has been measured and careful and mostly successful.
He is a statesman in a world of clowns so your comment is most likely in accurate. The Chinese and Russians work in tandem to counter US in the security council. They quietly bolster Iran. Note: The Chinese financial support and Russia has supplied Tehran with the S400 system it seems and will supply Mig 35s.
That is not standing alone. It is the US that is busy turning itself into a pariah with its neocon driven sanctions in an attempt to bully everyone. I think clear thinking leaders can see that the USA is falling into a very rapid decline and is thrashing about wildly trying to maintain its hegemony. It’s too late. The hegemony is over.
America is doing what it does best: stealing other people’s oil.
Calling America a pirate nation is a high insult to all pirates everywhere, as they are nowhere as brazen and as disgusting as the United Snakes of America.
DOJ confirms ‘largest-ever US seizure of Iranian fuel’ on 4 ships bound for Venezuela

The Iranians already said this isn’t their ships. They accused trump of claiming false victories for the upcoming election.
Sure…
Trump and Pimpeo are big big big boys.
With Piratry in Caribean…
Wow the US are such a big unilateral power…
Truly pathetic and desperate is more appropriate it seems.
All that matters is that the American Sheeple fall for it. To the degree that they pay attention at all (they don’t), they will.
Uh .. oh, this is how Russian leaders talk when they try to act in ‘good faith’ believing that they can earn goodwill from their ‘western partners’. I’ll take a stab in the dark. Putin will agree to extend the arms embargo against Iran for another 6 mo’s to a 1yr to appease the U.S.
NYET ! ! !
The arms embargo against Iran has already been too long. Iran has a right to defend themselves. The only reason they agreed to this continued ostracization was because of Obama’s ‘pallets of cash’. But Trump has negated any goodwill after all of the devilish things he has done to the Iranian people since then.
Putin please do not throw Iran and Syria under the bus. I’m not asking you to bomb anyone, just do not fall for the fools gold of believing that the U.S. will ever accept you as anything but a bug to be squished no matter what you do. You can never appease us.
@Christian J. Chuba,
Wrong again.
Russia stopped the UN Proposal to continue the arms embargo.
Why is it that you get the facts so misconstrued?

At the very least, it behoves you to read /statement-by-president-of-russia-vladimir-putin-on-russias-proposal-to-convene-meeting-of-heads-of-state-of-un-security-council-permanent-members-with-participation-of-heads-of-germany-and-ir/#comment-842759
You get selective amnesia whenever it comes to recalling Putin’s inglorious record at the UN and beyond. Indeed, why is it that you habitually get the facts so misconstrued?
Russia is the world’s Number One Judas.
It unfailingly stabs friendly countries in the back, for absolutely nothing in return. Judas did at least get his 30 pieces of silver.
Serbia, Iraq, Libya, DPRK, Iran, the list is endless.
Iran refused to deliver S300s Iran had paid for. It refused to honour its contrct to complete Bushehr. In return for worthless promises from the US – NEVER KEPT – not to place missiles on its borders.
It has supported genocidal sanctions against Iraq, Iran, DPRK. Hundreds of thousands of children have died as a result.
Never trust Snake Russia. Putin is in the pocket of the Jews just like Trump.
@Iran refused to deliver S300s Iran had paid for.
Something doesnt make sense here, can you and your statements be trusted?
@ Alabama
Just an error when typing & editing. Paul obviously meant “Russia refused to deliver S300s Iran had paid for”, a well-known fact.
But Russia did deliver the s300 in 2016
https://www.armscontrol.org/act/2016-11/news-briefs/russia-completes-s-300-delivery-iran
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-32290335
???
Are we referring to the same transaction? Thanks for clarifying!
Both Paul and Serbian girl are right here.
Originally, Russia sold the S-300 (and Iran paid) – with the promise of delivery in 2007.
However, Russia did not deliver them in 2007, and then took Iran “for a ride”, making various transparently lame excuses (while Iran had no choice but to keep mum).
This kept going until 2010 (!), when Russia, finally, openly admitted that it was not going to deliver the S-300:
“Russia Reverses on S-300 Missile Sale to Iran”
https://news.antiwar.com/2010/06/11/russia-reverses-of-s-300-sale-to-iran/
This was while Medvedev was formally the president of Russia (2008-2012) and Putin the prime minister (a charade, as everybody knows who was the actual boss). Putin re-took the formal presidency in 2012.
The sorry “game” continued. As economic and political incentives in the meantime changed, so did Russia leader’s stance on S-300 vs. Iran, and in 2015 Putin had a change of heart and “reversed the reversal”:
“Russia opens way to missile deliveries to Iran, starts oil-for-goods swap”
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-iran-nuclear-russia/russia-opens-way-to-missile-deliveries-to-iran-starts-oil-for-goods-swap-idUSKBN0N40YX20150413
Not so fast!… For believe it or not, even then the game did not end:
“Russia says won’t deliver S-300 to Iran ‘in near future’”
https://www.timesofisrael.com/russia-says-wont-deliver-s-300-to-iran-in-near-future/
And so on. More details can be found on the web.
“… Putin on Russia’s proposal to convene meeting of heads of state of UN Security Council …”
Just more of the usual inconsequential blah, blah, blah…
After all these years, only Putin won’t see. No, the West is not going to admit him into their exclusive private club, and that’s it.
This is simply a last attempt or at least a distraction to slow down the aggression of the West. Since they at least need to pay attention, which distracts them from their goals, and still at least try to appear as though they don’t act with impunity. All Putin is achieving (which is very important) is win time. There’s no drop of naivety there, even if they try to look so and act so. I’ve dealt with abusive people, and this is how you act. You act as though things will be OK and we can fix things and your defense may decrease, you make them think that you believe in all that garbage and are ready to participate, making them think you are still naive and codependent and they may actually achieve their goal to submit you, but you know you cannot fix anything and the only goal for you is to take some breath and collect strength for battle, and use their narcissistic lack of insight and delusional exceptionalism to bring a surprise counter-attack that they never expected. Cruelty is a very primitive thing and twists your though to snap your attention on “shiny” emotional distractions. It’s like a counter-manipulation to use that weakness.
At this point, it is unlikely that a war between Russia and the West can be avoided. There will be a war. Russia is winning time, to gain more preparation, while the west is getting weaker. Once all illusions die (the West seeing that they were tricked) and things escalate, Russia will be super intense and will deliver a fatal blow, not because of anything but only because this is their only chance for survival. Iran is doing a similar thing. They keep a low profile but getting as much as possible ready for war. History is clear, there will be a war. The pharisaic nihilism of the West killed any chance for peace. The question is not “if”, but “when”.
If the lifting of embargo on Iran fails, this is a failure of the security framework and we will see a major war soon. This is part of the Trump contribution and his psychopaths.
In fact, Biden getting in power may slow the war this time, unlike last time, where Clinton would have gone straight for it. In any case, there are too many of interior problems in the US and that distracts them a bit. Biden will be too occupied initially to look at himself in the mirror and calling himself “president”. Too occupied to try to gain approval from all that he can and to gloss his ego. Trump is more deeply settled and is potentially more capable of starting the war sooner. On the other hand, Biden is more likely to be involved in the struggle against Russia and bring new provocations just to show he is a “cool guy”. The overall inadequacy of the political system in the west is by itself scary but also slows them down and makes them less capable of bringing horror. The moral degradation of the West makes them more dangerous ideologically but less capable and efficient.
@ Band Itko
I found your analysis most interesting indeed.
One question that I do have here concerns your opinion that “… At this point, it is unlikely that a war between Russia and the West can be avoided. …”. What kind of war would that be? Perhaps you have in mind a rather localised conventional military conflict (a direct one, not just involving proxies – as those have already been and even currently are fought). Or the all-out nuclear conflict. Frankly, I find it very hard to envisage either one, since the first would be practically impossible to contain, while the latter, of course, would mean extinction of all life on our planet…
Thing is, the egg heads in the west have convinced themselves that limited nuclear conflict is possible and winnable, but only within a narrow window of time. And I’m not sure that they believe that an all-out nuclear exchange would be the end of it all either, or that that wouldn’t be preferable to the Zionist project being defeated or even simply made irrelevant. They’ve become drunk on their Zionist Kool-Aid.
@ Disaffected
Yes, exactly that. And moreover, they might be counting on Putin “the diplomat” not reacting (“in the interest of saving humanity”…) to “just a few” nuclear hits… Nothing would surprise me. Insanity is an uncharted territory…
Even if you exclude nuclear weapons and think only in terms of conventional armament, there are no legitimate ways of reasoning and appropriate logic that would lead anyone to consider that the US starting a war against Russia would be any proper or viable. However, a lot of things show that logic and reason are almost lost and people act like mad.
There seems to be a correlation between the US escalating in the Middle East and close to the Russian border at similar times. It’s like a multi-frontal circus, like some ritualistic madness of self-justification:
Ukraine and Syria, during Bush there were the rendezvous in the Middle East and the assault in Georgia, now it’s even more escalatory and dangerous — Belarus and Iran seem to be on their map.
There are conditions for a perfect storm currently. Elections are coming in the US in the context of falling economy (COVID and other reasons), split society and protests, falling international treaties, tons of scandals and manipulations, lies, many international and interior failures on the US side (including militarily), huge egos. The embargo on Iran expires before the elections and Trump needs the Jewish lobby on his side, while the Jewish leaders are strongly determined to do anything to stop Iran from being allowed to act freely. Trump pulling out of JCPOA was a ticking bomb, because just pulling out didn’t give them their goals. They are urged to push more and be more aggressive to achieve the goals, since JCPOA actually, at least formally, remained in place even if the US was not a part of it. It was never actually cancelled and big powers remained behind it. The US politico cannot allow the natural process of their decline, but would rather throw tantrums and bring general wide destruction.
BTW, one way the US may escalate into a war with Russia is if they decide to get NATO involved (worst is militarily) in Belarus, thinking that Russians will stay put since it is not an attack against their territory. This would invoke an immediate response on the Russian side.
I do think that there is at least some correlation between the pressure on Iran and the destabilization of Belarus.
@ Band Itko
“I do think that there is at least some correlation between the pressure on Iran and the destabilization of Belarus.”
Surely there is a global AZ agenda in pressuring China in Taiwan, Russia in Belarus and Iran in Lebannon and Syria.
By the way, the Beyrouth port explosion fit well in the pattern. And such occurrence (that kind of explosion, there, at this very moment… give me a break!) is more probably an attack than not.
It is clearly agressive warmongering and interference in other powers sphere of influence.
Maybe the AZ are building stack of chips in order to enter negociation with other powers in good position.
However the AZ overstretch and are entering other powers inner and vital interests do not bode well. Acceptability and possibility of that kind of behaviour is long past.
Surely, without significant action from Russia and China, it will lead to war.
We are dealing with master diplomats here and let me list the phrases which make this a very serious statement indeed and I hope those who want to blow this off as mere political verbiage take another careful look.
Tension are running high
Dangerous brink
Urgent matter
No place for blackmail or dictate in this region
prevent confrontation or a spike in tension
This is not a frivolous proposal but rather an attempt to head off a war with Iran so perhaps something is turning red on the intelligence meters of the Russians.
Yes. Add to the list:
groundless accusations
as soon as possible
The language of the statement is very direct and contains a very serious call and warning. It’s in fact very strong and I’m sure carefully selected.
Let’s look more at the following: “prevent confrontation or a spike in tensions within the UN Security Council”, to underline “within the UN Security Council”. This is a very serious warning for a possible conflict coming from the highest position within the Russian Federation. That conflict involves members of the Security Council, so it’s a great power level of confrontation that we are warned against.
If an embargo is extended or too extreme for Iran, after having properly fulfilled its obligations, Iran may decide to escalate and not wait for anything anymore, since no matter what you do, you always get a predefined outcome. The game is rigged. This actually, would collapse the framework of international law, since at anytime anyone can decide to disrespect established principles and this removes any incentive for fulfiling legal obligations.
” would collapse the framework of international law, since at anytime anyone can decide to disrespect established principles and this removes any incentive for fulfiling legal obligations. ”
International law was always a myth to contain and control weaker nations. International law never applies to the powerful the Soviet Union and Russia are included in this of course. If international law really existed there would be no security council in the UN, and all countries would all get an equal one vote. If Democarcy is so great why isnt it practiced at the UN ?
Good point.
Even a tyranny needs to distract and feed the illusion. Once the illusion is over, Iran’s anger will be legitimized and it will be a war (you can call it a rebellion).
Yes, big and strong countries can push around small and weak states. However, Iran may turn out to not be that small and weak, despite all sanctions.
Hopefully, however, if Russia and China don’t support them fully even Iran will ” fall “. The ZioAmericans don’t need to invade, they just need to destroy it enough to set it back 20 or 30 years. Also, throw in the possible social strife resulting from a ZioAmerican attack, and color revolutions are always around the corner.
Perhaps trying to develop some kind of consensus sanatorium for and against USA psychosis before it gets world terminal…it is okayish if it only hurts itself…. if USA walks away from UN does its own thing with friends(which at the moment seems doubtful no more believable WMD falsehoods going to work again most sensible people doubt the claims of Netyanhoo.)…or yet another President starts a war….there is the proof that such a thing is needed.
USA and associated been trying to get Russia declared as a terrorist state…if USA can step in its own mess and be shown to be such…..
I think this repeated request for a sit down of major powers is a major blunder once again it shows weakness
He has to give the US something
God after once again dropping the ball on Belarus Pres Putin should have other things on his mind-he cannot accept that war is inevitable and that will lead to many more casualties
An October surprise by Putin is not going to save Trump and will poison relations with Iran
his time is done
You can bet a shrinking Yankee buck that the Emperor of the infected Anglo Zionist Empire would never have made a proposal like this.
What this sick world needs right now is for the burned out, mentally ill “US Led” West to step aside and let their former colonies have a go at the wheel. Xi’s BRI – (the “Silk Road” concept) is great, progressive thinking.
No, Mr Putin is not desperate. He is trying to avoid a World War! Can’t you see it? Can’t you see that this war, if it happens, will kill you, too?
Mr Putin is an extraordinary leader, as well as Mr Xi. They are taking care of their nations! Why should they care about the rest of the world, if this did not affect them? Yes, their priority is the wellbeing of their people!
If it wasn’t for these two great leaders, we would probably have already had a world war…
NOTE: Too much Russia/Mr Putin bashing in this site… Why is the Saker allowing trolls, here? I say trolls because this is what they seem to be.
All I can say, is that the regular readers here have long since sussed out Russia’s stance, support, and interaction with Iran. Simply it is a two way street. What do you want Putin to do? And what do you want Iran to do?
Did you take note of the major agreement Iran / China just a while ago?
I would suggest some deep reading on the Saker blog … the info is here. You can say what you want, but if your analysis does not stand up to reason, you would be kinda just wrong. Putin is not in the habit of pushing his wishes on other countries you know.
Is this not help? “Accordingly, we propose convening an online meeting of the heads of state of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, with the participation of the heads of Germany and Iran, as soon as possible, in order to outline steps that can prevent confrontation or a spike in tensions within the UN Security Council. It is important to secure collective support for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 that sets forth an international legal framework for the execution of the JCPOA.”
Why do you think that its Russia’s job to protect the world.Putin’s protecting Russia and its people, the Ukraine was not Russia’s problem and Putin was smart to stay out of it rather then be bled billions upon billions taking over the Ukraine and trying to make it a somewhat nation.Belarus is no different what do you want him to do make an all out invasion drop the airborne send in tanks and missiles and make Russia look the fool.Syria’s doing very well and Iran is doing well, besides,I think that Putin’s already warned the West that Iran is one red line that they better not cross, otherwise there would have been response for Iran’s missile strikes on the two U.S, bases in Iraq.Yes you can say all you want (talks cheap) but when you don’t know the names or the faces of the players its best to say nothing until you do…
”NOTE: Too much Russia/Mr Putin bashing in this site… Why is the Saker allowing trolls, here? I say trolls because this is what they seem to be.”
Excellent observation, Rita. What we are seeing here is almost comical: a bunch of Western ”progressives” slandering Vladimir Putin for ”betraying/selling out/backstabbing” Syria/Iran/Ukraine/the DPRK/Venezuela, and what-have-you. Well, this is exactly the same hogwash Western ”progressives” use to attack Joseph Stalin who similarly ”betrayed/sold out/backstabbed” Spain/Germany/Greece/Austria. The contributions of Stalin’s USSR and Putin’s Russia in the struggle against Western imperialism are totally lost on these people — in stark contrast to the imperialist bourgeoisie. Stalin and Putin stir up more trouble to fascism and imperialism in half an hour’s time than these ”progressives” would achieve in a century at least.
“… Stalin and Putin …”
It is patently beyond the pale to speak of the two as if belonging to the same category, one’s personal affections being quite beside the point.
Stalin was a true giant of world history, who lifted Russia from industrial and social stone age to become a great respected modern superpower and a leader in science. The true victor of WW2, who against all odds smashed the potent western invader, and then rebuilt the country from the ashes of that war. The manifold fruits of those labours are still enjoyed by today’s Russia.
And it is equally wrong to try to debase the achievements of Putin. His historic contribution was reversing the terrible decline of Russian economy and of its armed forces, and stopping the resulting spiralling towards imminent loss of national independence. All those brought on by the mismanagement by his alcoholic predecessor Yeltsin, and by the related unchecked infestation by “cosmopolitan” (Zionist) parasites.
Let the proper credits go to where they are due.
I don’t know that people generally know the background to this. Mr Putin and Mr Lavrov have consistently asked for a gathering of the UN Security Council heads of state. In common talk, the ones that discuss this, call it for short Yalta2.
This has a history. When Russian was kicked out of the G8, they obviously decided to remain out. This was later explained as Russia said that the G30 is a better space for leaders of countries to discuss issues. You can see what happened to the G7 .. It is Mr Trump’s turn to host it this year, but nobody wants to attend. First was Angela Merkel, who said … uhm, no thanks. Trump then invited a whole bunch more, and Russia said .. uhm, without China, it is a waste of time – no thanks. So far, we do not know if Mr Trump’s G7 meeting (or whatever it will be called) is going to happen. So, there truly is not a good format to discuss serious threats of war in our world today. Mr Putin is trying to establish one in a type of Yalta2.
There is also a material difference in the Russian discussions with Germany, as you can see from the Lavrov discussion that was also posted. I consider this quite major, and something else also happened .. I’ll detail it at the end.
In the meantime, the US left the Iran accord. As you can see, Mr Putin here still supports that agreement as a matter of law. Europe said they are not leaving the JPCOA, but they did too little, too late. Iran did things by the book, and each time they could not obey the agreement (because Europe did not bring their share), they made it clear – countries were supposed to buy their enriched uranium water in a certain schedule so that Iran could not stockpile. So, people need to go and study this agreement to understand Mr Putin here.
The US, despite leaving the JPCOA, still wanted to flex its muscles and remain part of the agreement because they found that they lost their ability to control anything, by not being part of this agreement. In other words, they shot themselves in the foot. The US was threatening Iran because of actions they took while the Iran agreement was left in ruins. So, part of this JPCOA was an arms embargo against Iran.
So last evening (Friday), the UN security council had a vote .. With the US having left, does Iran still have to obey this arms embargo?. Pompeo worked very hard on this to get the UNSC to vote yes .. they must still obey. But, the US left the agreement.
And the US resolution ended in utter failure. Iran is free from the arms embargo on them. (I wish it was food, but one cannot always get what you want eh).
This is a quite major happening in our world.
Nobody but 2 little countries voted with the US. The rest voted against or abstained. Europe generally abstained. This was a massive loss for the US – their ‘lawfare’ did not work and Pompeo is puffing up himself and threatening the US will do anything that is necessary to change this yet again. Pure lawfare and they talk about some clawback clause that is not at all operative here.
So, Mr Putin made this speech before the UNSC vote, obvious with concern that somebody will start shooting at somebody, and reiterated his call for the Heads of State of the permanent members of the Security Council to get together and reduce the risk of a shooting war. Bear in mind, Iran still has not taken real action for the killing of Gen Suleimani.
So, Mr Putin is not scared, he is not wanting to find his space in the sun among the western nations, he is calling for a type of Yalta2 conference to reduce the risk of all-out war in the Middle East.
The commenters that consider this a very serious speech and very strong, are absolutely right.
In the background to all of this, Europe for once acted. 24 European countries raised their opposition to U.S. extraterritorial sanctions in a diplomatic démarche to Washington, amid rising tensions over U.S. threats toward businesses involved in the Russia-backed Nord Stream 2 pipeline. So they protested U.S. extraterritorial sanctions in general but the recent sanctions threats against Nord Stream 2 were brought up during the call.
We may just be seeing the first glimmer of the rejection of the US Sanctions regime across the world. Mr Putin understands the seriousness of the possible US backlash at clearly losing their world power status.
@amarynth,
Thanks for the educated and enligthned post.
Surely everyone understand that it is high time and strive to join in to bring the US soft landing.
The point is there are some unacceptable gangster US moves that needs practical answers. Not UNSC babbling.
US move to 62billion F16 sales to Tawain.
Or the US move in Poland/Ukraine/Belarus.
Or the US occupation of Syria and Afghanistan.
Or the blockade of Venezuela.
All are unacceptable moves that require action on the ground.
Let s say the UNSC meeting is needed as a record for history.
Mr Putin is requesting a five-member emergency summit of the UNSC to deal with the dangerous situation the world is in at the moment… Be patient, and pay attention.
No hes not, the ZioAmericans want it at the UNSC. Putin wants a confrence that includes Iran and Germany also. They’re not part of the UNSC.
Yes, he is. Read his speech on 18 June 2020:
https://nationalinterest.org/feature/vladimir-putin-real-lessons-75th-anniversary-world-war-ii-162982?page=0%2C5
Who are YOU, Fog of War? What are you doing here?
” Nobody but 2 little countries voted with the US. The rest voted against or abstained. Europe generally abstained. ”
Abstaining might as well be considered agreement in this case. Those nations are scared sh*tless of daddy ZioAmerica. What does abstaining in this sitaution even mean ?
Actually you need 9 affirmative votes to pass a resolution in the SC. This latest resolution of Iran arms embargo didn’t pass, as the US simply could not muster the votes (abstentions).
If Russia or China had vetoed the resolution, the US would have blamed “blockage” of the UNSC. But like this they lose face.
The problem is the ZioAmericans don’t care one bit about ” losing face “. Just like Israhell doesn’t.

So, that is where we stand.
