Syrian War Report – August 22, 2018: U.S., France, U.K. Send New Threats To Assad Government

How come the ‘biggest’, ‘most powerful’, ‘best’ military in the World, funded to the tune of 1 Trillion
Dollars this year, (four times more than its nearest competitor), is utterly unable to defeat a terrorist
insurgency in seven years of action against said insurgency, if not by design?

Especially when smaller ‘less powerful’ military forces are able to more or less compete the job in less
than 2 years…..

It appears that things are coming to a head, two examples of:

1. Removal of all decent from all major social media sites, starting with a coordinated attack on an
easy target (Alex Jones), gleefully celebrated by the masses, utterly unaware of the implications
and consequences of the thin end of the wedge and where this ends. The ensuing predictable rush
to silence ANY site, person, or group that does not toe the approved narrative. But not just a
silencing a total wipe and removal of all content, they never existed honest…..

2. The ‘revelations’ from the ‘tech giants’, of ongoing and renewed meddling in the midterm
elections not just by the Russians it seems, now it’s also the Chinese & the Iranian’s don’t you
know! (Strange all the countries on the US/UK/France shit list….)

November/December is going to be ‘interesting’, ‘may you live in interesting times’, it’s a curse! That of
course is IF we get that far.

What with the final battle for Idlib/Syria shaping up in the coming weeks, we can look forward to the
‘mandatory loss of sanity’ from President Assad, as he reverts to his ‘murderous and despot ways’ of
using chemical weapons against his own people, that will be plastered all over mainstream media, who
are now embedded with the ‘rebels’ (terrorists) in Idlib, as the western narrative can no longer relie on the
discredited White Helmets to produce the ‘evidence’ of the ‘chemical weapons attack’, when this
enviable ‘attack’ takes place we can expect the US/UK & France to once again act as Judge, Jury &
Executioner, based on the ‘evidence’ of the embedded ‘trusted’ Western MSM, no OPCW, (the
international body charged with such matters), investigation required international law be dammed.

It’s entirely possible that the ‘collusion’ and ‘meddling’ combined with the ongoing prosecutions and
convictions of most, (all?) of Trump’s ex-staff & advisers in the midterms could lead to the impeachment
of President Trump, then we get President Pence and Neocon overdrive, which would probably be worse
that Clinton, and is more or less a guarantee that we end up at War with Iran, and probably a greater push
to regime change in both Syria and Venezuela, as a start.

Alternatively President Trump survives the storm, only to continue the march to War with Iran/North
Korea, (where the agreement reached is already being changed, [denuclearisation within in a year, as the
first step, is now required it seems, not last as agreed])

If we were to ask Noam Chomsky on where he thinks the Doomsday Clock should be set currently I am
of the opinion he would be bringing it closer than the 1.5 minutes to midnight, he recently suggested, and
I would be in agreement, and suggest we are nearer to 30 seconds to midnight.

Those of us who continuously warn Assad and Putin to put no stock in US, French, and U.K. pledges of withdrawal from Syria know from experience that all are congenital liars with one goal in mind, ousting Assad and achieving regime change in Syria. The withdrawal commitment is another Western fraud. Buying time in this case is not a viable strategy. Putin and Assad should come out swinging and bloody their noses. Otherwise, they’ll lose the information battle and with it, the war. In short order, the terrorists will act as collaborators in drumming up another false flag chemical attack incident no matter how hackneyed the charge. Assad and his allies are doing a solid job on the ground. Russia should assure him of solid air and sea support.

‘Secret directive’ bans UN agencies from helping rebuild Syria until ‘political transition’ – Lavrov

“Washington’s “absolutely deconstructive” stance is hampering the rebuilding of Syria and constricts the UN in aiding the country until a so called ‘political transition’ takes place, Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister, said.

“We addressed UNESCO on how they plan to implement the longtime talks, the longtime understanding on attracting the potential of this organization to rebuilding Palmyra,” an ancient city, regarded by the agency as a World Heritage Site, Lavrov said. “From the explanations of why UNESCO has still been unable to get involved in this process actively, we took that there was some kind of a directive from the United Nations headquarters in New York.”

He said that the UN Secretariat, which is the organizations’ executive arms, has “actually issued and distributed a secret directive throughout the UN system in October last year that prohibited the agencies included in this system from participating in any kind of projects aimed at restoring the Syrian economy.”

“Only humanitarian aid and nothing more” was allowed, the minister told the journalists after talks with Lebanese counterpart, Gebran Bassil, in Moscow. “A term was put forward that restoration of Syria would only be on the agenda after a certain progress is made in the so-called political transition” in the country, he added.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also said that due to the “absolutely deconstructive” stance of the US one also shouldn’t expect any positive decisions on rebuilding Syria and return of refugees to the country from the UN Security Council.

He reminded that following the talks between US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, and UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, last week, Washington said that that “any discussion of reconstruction was premature absent a political solution” in Syria.

Lavrov pointed out that such demands are only put forward by the Americans for areas liberated from terrorist and controlled by the Syrian government in Damascus.

“As for the areas held by often non-constructive opposition forces, cooperating with the US… the restoration processes there is, on the contrary, in full swing. Furthermore, the US attracts a number of its allies to funding these activities,” he said.

According to the minister, Washington’s actions contradict the UN Security Council Resolution 2254 from 2015, which stressed the “critical need to build conditions for the safe and voluntary return of refugees… and the rehabilitation of affected area” in Syria.

Moscow is going to continue working with the countries that “understand the urgency of the proposed measures for the return of refugees and creation of necessary conditions for them,” Lavrov said. He mentioned Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey as well as the European countries, in which “there is a growing awareness of the need for concrete steps” in Syria, among such states.

Resolution 2254 speaks about a constitutional reform and free election in Syria, but the US and its allies have been pushing for President Bashar Assad to be removed from the process, despite him being a democratically elected leader, whose popularity only increased after most of the country was liberated from terrorists with help of Russia, Iran and other allies.”
