On June 4, the US State Department officially acknowledged that Turkey and the US had endorsed a roadmap for the northern town of Manbij. The announcement came after a meeting between Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and U.S. State Secretary Mike Pompeo in Washington.
Manbij is currently controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Kurdish YPG and YPJ forces are the core of the SDF. Ankara sees them as terrorist group.
Earlier, Turkey claimed that the US-Turkish roadmap on Manbij will force YPG/YPJ elements to leave the area. However, the implementation and real details of this roadmap still remains in question.
On the same day, an explosion erupted near a US-French military base in the SDF-held town of Ain Issa. According to pro-opposition sources, at least one person was killed in the incident. However, no further details are currently available.
According to reports, the Ain Issa base hosts around 200 US and 75 French troops.
On June 4 and June 5, the SDF continued its advance against ISIS on the eastern bank of the Euphrates reportedly capturing al-Nammurah, Tal Manakh and al-Dahu.
On June 3 and June 4, the Syrian Arab Army and its allies repelled a series of ISIS attacks carried out from both eastern and western banks of the Euphrates. Main clashes took place in the areas of Jalaa, Saiyal and Hasrat.
Some sources even speculated that the terrorist group used these attacks to transfer some of their members from the SDF encirclement in the area of Hajin to the Homs desert.
Firefights between government forces and militants were reported in the area west of the city of Aleppo. This incident and other cases in northern Hama and northern Latakia show that the establishment of observation posts in the so-called Idlib de-escalation zone are not enough to impose a fully-fledged ceasefire regime in the area. The key reason behind this is still high level of influence of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in this part of Syria.

The American Bully Empire is forcing Putin to either fight now in Syria, or be forced back and back into an untenable position. Putin needs to draw the red line now in Syria, and be willing to fight now to back it up. A bad choice, but one he is being forced to make by the Empire’s aggressive thrusts.
https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2018/06/06/us-challenges-russia-to-nuclear-war.html
America is an aggressive and predatory nation by its intrinsic nature, as it believes it has a Manifest Destiny to colonize the world … under the guise of liberating the world.
This is the political DNA of American national identity since the first “pilgrims” invaded and colonized the North American continent–exterminating and ethnically cleansing the Native Indians as a result.
Behind its propaganda slogans about the “rule of law”, the American Empire only understands the language of force and acts according to the Law of the Jungle.
As such, the United Snakes should be treated with the contempt that it so richly deserves.
A war between Russia and the israeli american/nato colonies in Syria right now is an israeli wet dream.
I don’t think Russia needs to fight America here, the local/regional forces in the region(Syria,Iran,Iraq,Turkey, etc) seem to be both willing and able to fight the USA.Russia for their part can assist them without directly engaging the USA.
The situation between Putin and the Empire is this: fight me now or fight me later, but the Empire is determined to conquer Russia. Putin may think he can play a waiting game, but the Empire is onto that, and is pressing the issue in ways that will defeat that strategy, using the overwhelming conventional forces at it’s disposal. Building bases in Syria, and attacking Iran via multiple modalities is only the prelude to attacking Russia. Trump and his deep state handlers intend to strike now while the iron is hot, and give Russia no chance to avoid open conflict for long. Intensifying the war against Russia which is already in progress is the Empire’s determined intention.
I think that’s an overestimation of Washington’s capabilities, they have neither the wisdom nor the strength to defeat Russia. And what overwhelming conventional forces? The conventional forces of the Empire are spread thin all over the world, what they have in West Asia is most certainly not overwhelming.I don’t think Washington has any chance of dragging Russia into a war with them short of a direct attack on Russian assets, something Washington would not survive.Which is probably for the best, despite the amount of noise Washington makes I think the USA is too prideful to go to war against ‘small’ powers like Syria,Iran,Iraq,Turkey while Russia sits on the sidelines.Pride here as in the pride of a warmonger and war merchant, the Empire makes others kill each other they don’t openly fight themselves, too much reputation to lose in case of a loss.
I think the war (which is mostly economic, and only 2% hot) is shifting (in a very perceivable way) in favor of Russia. The economic forum was an incredible success, the division between the US and EU are underway. NAFTA is also shaky…there is so much going on. Russia doesn’t have to do anything but wait. In fact, waiting is a very powerful act.
Soon, all those bases are not going to make any difference because the US economy is slowly turning into dust. The politco-pedophile regimes of the West are so corrupt they don’t even know what is happening.
BTW. One of the reasons Poland is begging for the US military bases is because they know that the US will be forced to abandon them at some point, just like the USSR abandoned massive amount of weapons in the Ukraine. Baltics and some Eastern EU countries just want a chunk of dying dinosaur without fighting for it.
The israelis would like nothing better for Russia to go on the military offensive now. Especially since Russia is still vastly out numbered. The israeli colonies need a “bad guy” for their propaganda/psywar in order to whip their passive populations into a war frenzy. Without that, no dice.
The war will go nowhere with the captive colonial population and soon lead to increased unrest at home among them. With the economic situation, this naked war mongering is not likely to wash very long without a real good, very aggressive “bad guy” to portray in the propaganda.
Those pushing for Russia to initiate offensive military action against zionazia, and denigrate Russia for not being such a toy, are no friend of Russia. In fact, given what would happen, I would say they are no friend of life on Earth.
BTW, one of the anonymous comments up thread was from me. I forgot to fill in the blanks.
