ISIS cells have unexpectedly captured 8 villages from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the northern Hama countryside.
ISIS captured Abu Hariq, Ma’sarah, Abu Kusur, Tulayhat, Aliya, Suruj, Abu Marw and Umm Sahnk. The village of Abu Khanadiq is contested.
This is the second time that ISIS has been able to seize a significant area in the region without facing any notable resistance. The incident confirms that ISIS is maintaining a strong presence in the so-called opposition-held area in Idlib and northern Hama and that its cells can operate there freely.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), Hezbollah, the Tiger Forces and their allies have started a military operation to clear the remaining ISIS-held points on the western bank of the Euphrates. The Syrian military has also deployed reinforcements to the area from the government-held parts of Hasakah.
ISIS has a large number of mobile assault units operating in the Homs desert and the Euphrates Valley. This allows the terrorist group to conduct raids on the advancing government forces while avoiding direct clashes.
In Eastern Ghouta, near Damascus, the SAA has restored full control of the Armored Vehicles Base after repelling a major militant attack there. The attack had involved members of Ahrar al-Sham and Faylaq al-Rahman.
Government forces have seized hilltops near the village of Beit Tima in the area near the Golan Heights. Earlier, the SAA established control over Kafr Hawar, Bayt Sabir, Beit Tima in the same area.
As the remaining ISIS-held area in Syria is shrinking, government forces are gaining more opportunities to conduct military operations against other militant groups across the country.
War here really must be over. time for the next one to start.
See where he’s now supposedly ordered the entire Russia industry to go on a war footing.
So looks like all those stories mentioned past 2 years about syria being the russian proving ground for all their next gen stuff was true.
Russian President Vladimir Putin says that all major Russian companies, both state-owned and private, must be ready for a rapid transition to war-time operations, adding that the capability is crucial to national security.
According to the Kremlin press service, the Russian president made the statement on Wednesday at a conference with senior defense ministry officials and top managers of major defense companies.

That was first ordered in 2015. It should be completed by now. That it’s not is a problem. But all in all its a good idea under any circumstances to have that plan working.
Zion is banging its head against the wall. The damage team Putin has inflicted on its silly, genocidal schemes is gargantuan. Revenge is in the cards, and would have happened far beyond the scope of trade sanctions and similar poorly thought-through nonsense long ago, if there were any easy options…
But Putin’s call for better preparedness of the Russian industrial sector to rapid transition to war-time mode is a double-edged sword and also targets the ‘inner enemy’. Let’s remember: Russia’s private industry is mostly in the hand of the fifth column – i.e. Zion.
By tasking the industry to have war preparedness policies, Putin keeps the fifth column in check, at least, as good as he can with the very limited powers the office of the president of Russia allows in this regard.
There are a couple of interesting points in the video. One,that ISIS is active in Homs. That should clear the way for the SAA to take those villages. Thus reducing the size of opposition held territory in the North. Since the dis-engagement zones don’t apply to ISIS held regions. The second (and to me most important) is the East Ghouta area. That small territory should have been taken over a long time ago.Its absurd that an area close enough to Damascus for jihadis to use it to shell the city is still not liberated. Its small enough for anti-terrorist forces to go in mass, acre by acre, and clear out the terrorists. If need be move any civilians out of the area until its fully pacified. But totally clear it of jihadis. And allow Damascus to be safe from the weekly attacks from that area. Now that the front is moving forward.Pockets of terrorist territory behinf the lines needs to be fully cleared out.
Hopefully all oilfields under Kurd/US control will be peaceably handed back to Syria and the Kurds can dis-associate from US overlords and make a decent political transition to the previous citizen-role as part of Syria. Lets hope all Kurd nationalism – so-called – will be expunged from the lying media. US troops should exercise devolved command authority to pack their traps and relocate to Gitmo.
