An ISIS shelling has killed Russia’s Lieutenant general Valery Asapov near Deir Ezzor city, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday. The general died after sustaining a “fatal injury” in the shelling. The incident took place when Asapov was at a command outpost manned by Syrian troops, assisting commanders in the liberation of Deir Ezzor.
According to the Russian media, Asapov was a commander of Russian task forces in Deir Ezzor and Raqqah provinces.
At the same day, CNN announced citing a US official that US forces in Syria have increased surveillance of Russian troop locations. The report boosted the rumors that ISIS could receive a location of the Russian-Syrian command post from the US-led coalition.
The Russian Defense Ministry also released photos showing US Special Operations Forces deployed in stronghold in the ISIS-held area near Dier Ezzor with no screening patrols.
“The shots clearly show the US SOF units located at strongholds that had been equipped by the ISIS terrorists. Though there is no evidence of assault, struggle or any US-led coalition airstrikes to drive out the militants.
Despite that the US strongholds being located in the ISIS areas, no screening patrol has been organized at them. This suggests that the US troops feel safe in terrorist controlled regions,” the statement said.
Russia will likely react to the recent developments in Deir Ezzor with increased bombing campaign with possible usage of Kalibr cruise missiles against ISIS targets.
Photos and videos appearing online show increased deployment of government troops as well as equipment, including battle tanks, PMM-2M self-propelled ferries and BMK-MO boats, to Deir Ezzor ahead of further operations.
Last weekend, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies made a large progress northwest of Deir Ezzor, retaking the key town of Maadan and the nearby areas from ISIS. At the same, time, government troops were not able to develop momentum on the east bank of the Euphrates because of a fierce ISIS resistance there.
In turn, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) consolidated their gains over Ibsah and Taibah fields and pushed towards Jafra fields. The SDF also launched a storm of the al-Suwar town.
The retaliation will be asymmetrical and will hurt
the neocons alot. And I mean alot!
CIA suckers say goodbye to your annual 1 Trillion $ black funds.
That ‘opening’ will be closing now. You know what I mean.
USA does not want Iraqi and Syrian army united againt Kurmanc Kurds. I do not know what would happen in the end. Maybe we will see the end of Syria and Iraq state…
WW3 is my prediction. They want to destroy the Middle East at all cost.
Fares Shehabi, government “MP for Aleppo” on how US-backed SDF accessed ISIS territory.
“Maybe Nikki Haley can explain to us how could US backed SDF gangs travel 50km deep inside ISIS areas without firing a single bullet..!”

Russian MoD Refutes Reports About Strikes on Settlements in Idlib Province
https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201709261057692587-russia-refutes-strikes-settlements-idlib/
“The aircraft of Russian Aerospace Forces do not strike settlements in the Syrian Arab Republic. The statements of the Observatory citing unnamed ‘witnesses’ and ‘volunteers’ are unsubstantiated as usual and serve as ‘information cover-up’ for actions of Al Nusra Front [a terrorist group] militants,” Konashenkov said.
He said that over the past 24 hours, the Russian jets carried 10 strikes on terrorists positions in the Idlib province following reconnaissance sorties of drones and additional confirmation through other channels.
Konashenkov explained that the targets included underground bases of militants, located far from residential neighborhoods, field ammunition depots, armored vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems and sweatshops for loading guns on cars which were used during both preparations and offensive of the terrorists against positions of the Russian military police in the north of Hama province in order to take Russian servicemen hostage. He noted that the ministry had the objective monitoring data for all the strikes.”

Syria and her allies continue to roll up israel’s terrorist network, while israel’s terrorist media network continue their tantrum.
@vot tak: “Syria and her allies continue to roll up israel’s terrorist network”…
I think the roll-up will continue systematically; General Asapov’s assassination will not be the Sarajevo for WW3. The Allies will end this FUKZUSA invasion of Syria the same way the USSR ended the Anglo-Capitalist invasion of Russia: by systematically chewing up NATZO’s Wehrmacht. Undercover assassinations and similar CIA/MI6/Mossad “dirty tricks” are for the thugs who run the Western regimes, not for socially conscious leaders like Dr.Assad and Pres.Putin who respect the Rule of Law.
For those of you who suspected that the Kurds and ISIS were US mercenaries in Syria, here’s more evidence of the same:
BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:50 P.M.) – A video has just been released on social media showing the interview of an ISIS fighter from Deir Ezzor who admits that the terrorist group’s forces in the region are forbidden by their commanders from attacking US-backed, Kurdish-led militias.

“Syria has information about US helicopters evacuating terrorists, blames Erdogan for Kurdistan referendum…….The Syrian minister noted that ISIS terrorists received information about the exact location of the Russian general, and what eventually allowed them to target his position in Deir Ez Zour.
He accused the US Air Force of killing thousands of civilians in the rural areas of Raqqah and Deir Ez Zour, done under the false pretext of bombing ISIS. “The United States has no interest in eradicating terrorism”, he said.”

Russian Top General Was Photographed At De-facto Frontline Near Deir Ezzor
https://southfront.org/russian-top-general-was-photographed-at-de-facto-frontline-near-deir-ezzor/
“Fresh photos appeared online showing Russia’s Lieutenant General Valery Asapov at a frontline on the western bank of the Euphrates near Deir Ezzor city.
Fresh photos appeared online showing Russia’s Lieutenant General Valery Asapov at a frontline on the western bank of the Euphrates near Deir Ezzor city.
Most likely the photos were taken some time before the incident. According to reports, Asapov was a commander of Russian task forces in the provinces of Raqqah and Deir Ezzor.”
There are some questions, and disturbing answers regarding this picture.
Why a Russian general would expose himself openly in the front line?
Why a Russian general would pull a rope on the bank of a river?
The task of a general is to stay in a command control center, possibly underground, and have a Russian team to update him, and together make decision.
Pulling the rope on the side of the river is the task of the squad, and maybe with the squad commander, under the supervision of a second or first lieutenant or an equivalent rank.
He maybe can make some front inspections but only surrounded by Russian and undercover.
Why?
Because anybody with a cell phone can locate the coordinates and provide to someone equipped with a tube 120mm and GPS guided 120mm round, or similar caliber. I’m not excluding a hellfire delivery too.
Based on this picture it is evident that this general decided to do this task because Syrians was not able to do it.
Second it is beyond comprehension, how Russian military take security measures in this very hostile and unpredicted, Syrian War.
Many people wondered if an artificial division of Syria was being cooked up with the dividing line being the Euphrates and indeed the fear being expressed that if he Russians would not venture east of the Euphrates, the Syrians would have a big problem freeing the country east of Deir Ez Zor
Well . . . . “Far from leaving Syria to fight alone east of the Euphrates, Russia is now actively assisting Syrian troops east of the river in Deir ez-Zor. Thus, the building of the bridge increasingly confirms that Russia will stand alongside the Syrian Arab Army and Air Force as it continues to push east and north, liberating legal Syrian territory from terrorist groups and foreign occupiers.”
Adam Garrie writing there in the Duran.
So the US will just have to accept as reality that the Syrians and allies have every intention of liberating all of Syria, the US military are not going to be allowed to remain in illegal occupation and there is not going to be a Kurdistan/Israel either.
What a difference a bridge makes to the geo political situation ! It’s more than a bridge. It’s a big statement Here come tanks and so much more !
