Introduction: A Spectre Is Haunting Europe
A spectre is haunting Europe – it is the spectre of poverty. The bets are now on as to which European country will collapse first. Among the front runners you will find Portugal, Latvia, Ireland, Romania, Italy, Moldova, Spain, the Czech Republic, Germany, Bulgaria, France and Slovakia. But perhaps none of them is more likely to fall first than the UK. For it has a new Prime Minister, who, unthinkably, is an even greater clown than the last one and even threatens to press the nuclear button. Let me digress for a moment with a visit to the islands off the coast of North-Western Europe.
MissTrust Rules
My visit to the UK, after Wiesbaden in Germany, came at a time when the English peasants were revolting, but the governing elite did not yet know it.
In one last Marie-Antoinette farewell moment the unlate, unlamented Mr Johnson advised the revolting peasants of the UK to spend £20 buying a new and more economic kettle, so that after two years (if the Chinese-made kettle lasted that long) they could save £10 a year on their £2,500 + annual energy bills. ‘Let them eat cake’, he may as well have shouted to the breadless masses.
The effete and wealthy Tory Party never understood the people. Johnson’s unelected replacement, MissTrust, for whom we should beg the CIA (which has long funded Nobel Prizes) to fund a Nobel Prize for Geography (after all Mr Obama won a Nobel Prize for Peace), faces many challenges:
Firstly, there is the self-inflicted mess Mr Johnson made of Brexit, notably by separating Northern Ireland from Great Britain as regards imports and exports and failing to impose any laws for necessary immigration and against unnecessary immigration. It was the Tory Party that imposed on the British people the then Common Market (later becoming the EU) in 1973. The people never asked to join – they were never consulted.
Secondly, there is the self-inflicted covid chaos. Tory-imposed lockdowns bankrupted many and were hated by even more. The much-vaunted vaccines turned out to be useless after three months, and even extremely harmful to some. Today a million vaccinated Britons have covid week in, week out. The people never asked for lockdowns and false vaccines – they were never consulted.
Thirdly, there is the self-inflicted energy crisis and the spiralling energy and food prices, caused by illegal Tory government sanctions against the Russian decision to rescue Russians from Kiev’s genocide and persecution. The people never asked to be cold and hungry – they were never consulted.
Fourthly, there are the self-inflicted dramatic problems of always underfunded national infrastructure, whether that of the Health Service (people dying in their homes and in ambulances because the hospitals are so full that they have to wait for many, many hours before they can be admitted), the ‘privatised’ electricity, gas, water and telecom companies, airports and railways, which are all breaking down. The people never asked for public services which are appalling because they are private – they were never consulted.
Don’t worry. MissTrust has what she calls a ‘bold solution’. It is called another £150 billion of extra debt. But perhaps, after this digression to the islands, Continental Europe can provide a remedy for such idiocy through a long-ago victory over the Franco-German elite?
Inspiration for Freedom: Roncevaux III
The peoples of UK Europe will have to fight for their freedom. And so will the peoples of EU Europe. They might all find their inspiration in the long, long ago Native European defeat of the Franco-German elite, whose descendants now rule in Brussels. I speak of the victory of the Native Europeans – the original inhabitants of Europe long before the Greeks, Romans, Celts and Teutons – the Basques. Surviving as a group of some three million on the French-Spanish border, centred on the wild western Pyrenean mountains, they speak a unique, pre-Indo-European language, the original language of Europe. You have heard of Native Americans? Well, the Basques are Native Europeans. The rest are invaders. You have heard of General Custer? Well, you need to hear about his ancestor, General Roland. Sadly, the barbarian knight Custer was not defeated, but the barbarian knight Roland was.
With the rise of Charlemagne (747-814), the French name for the ‘Holy Roman Emperor’, ‘Karl der Grosse’, ‘Karl the Tall’, Frankish imperialism tried to invade and control ever more territory in Western and Central Europe in a feeble attempt to imitate the pagan Roman Empire. The attempt by these barbarians failed, but it was the forerunner of all future pagan Western Empires, haunted and formated by pagan Rome, from the Portuguese to the Spanish, from the Dutch to the French, from the British (Roman Britannia) to the American via the Fascist Italian and the Nazi German. (Why do you think the Washington White House has the form of a Roman temple and they talk of the myth of ‘Pax Americana’?)
In the 770s the future unHoly, unRoman and unEmperor, Charlemagne had his barbarian army encroach into the Duchy of Aquitaine in what is now south-west France. The Basques (Vascones or Gascons) in the territory south of the River Garonne, northern Gascony, remained largely free. However, from 778 on Charlemagne expanded the Frankish takeover of Aquitaine to present-day Gascony (the northern Basque Country), appointing Franks, Burgundians and Frankish ‘Church’ officials to the main posts.
Seeing an opportunity to expand by allying himself with Muslim dissidents, headed among others by the Arab traitor Husayn of Zaragoza (so much for Charlemagne’s much-vaunted ‘Christianity’), in 778 Charlemagne marched across the Pyrenees ‘at the head of all the forces he could muster’ to Spain. The Muslims under Abd ar-Rahman of Cordoba sent their best general to stop the Frankish invasion. However, the traitor Husayn managed to defeat and imprison him.
Then Husayn decided not to yield his new privileged status to the Franks and refused to surrender the city of Zaragoza to Charlemagne, claiming he had never promised him anything. Husayn tried to bribe Charlemagne by giving him the imprisoned general from Cordoba and a large tribute of gold, but Charlemagne was not satisfied. He laid siege to Zaragoza, but eventually he accepted the gold and the release of several prisoners from Husayn, in return for which he lifted his siege.
Before running away from Spain (Kabul), Charlemagne decided to terrorise the Basque country. Intending to eliminate opposition from the native Basques, he gave orders to destroy the walls of the Basque capital Pamplona (Mariupol) or even, according to some, destroy the city altogether, and he also razed many Basque towns. He placed forts and military outposts (Remember Custer) throughout their territory and his invading Franks treated the Basques harshly during his occupation (Remember the Native Americans).
After imagining that he had conquered the region (the Ukraine), Charlemagne (Obama) marched for the Pyrenees mountain pass of Roncevaux in order to return to France (Poland). Many of his lords, such as Roland, Anselm and Eggihard, were placed in the rearguard to protect the retreat and the baggage train. The Basques sent their soldiers after him in retaliation for the destruction of their towns and the Basques’ local knowledge helped them overtake the Franks.
On the evening of 15 August 778 Charlemagne’s rearguard was set upon by the Basques as they crossed the mountain pass. The Franks were caught unawares as they tried to escape. The Basques (Afghans) managed to cut off the Frankish rearguard and the baggage train from the rest of the retreating Army. As Charlemagne tried to rescue his Army, Roland and the others held out until the Basques finally massacred them, killing them to the last man. The Basques then plundered the baggage left behind and took advantage of the night to disappear, so that the Franks could not find them the next morning.
The Battle caused great losses among the Frankish (Ukrainian) troops, including several of the most important aristocrats (officers) and the sack of the baggage (military equipment), probably with all the gold given by the Muslims in Zaragoza. Charlemagne (NATO) lost huge quantities of treasure and men (mercenaries). Never again would Charlemagne take it upon himself to lead an army to battle in Spain (the Ukraine), having to rely instead on his generals (CIA/MI6) for future campaigns. The Franks had failed to capture Zaragoza and suffered a great defeat at the hands of the Basques (DNR/LNR).
Later, lands in the Pyrenees would be ruled by Charlemagne’s officials, and distributed among colonisers (Hunter Biden/Monsanto) and to the Frankish Church (Woke fanatics) allied to Charlemagne (Biden). However, the Basques would finally consolidate their independent Kingdom of Pamplona in 824 after new resistance to Frankish rule. In that year the Basque Army defeated another Frankish Army in the same mountain pass. The Second Battle of Roncevaux was almost identical to the first, with the Basques again taking advantage of the terrain, but against a much larger Frankish force. Unlike the first Battle in which most of Charlemagne’s Army managed to escape, the invaders, led by the Frankish vassal Aeblus, were trapped and routed, and a larger number of their men were slaughtered than in 778.
Thus, the Battle of Roncevaux (literally, ‘Brambly Valley’) in the Pyrenees in 778 saw the Basque freedom-fighters defeat Charlemagne after his invasion. The Basques celebrate this victory to this day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmr3apxS87E). However, the death of Roland and his warriors gave the Western elite role models for their barbarous knights of the Western Middle Ages. Over the years the Battle was hyped into a struggle between Catholics and Muslims, although the Basques of the period were mainly pagan and the Franks were allied to some of the Muslims.
The Native European victory at Roncevaux is retold with regret in the eleventh-century work of Frankish propaganda, ’The Song of Roland’. It is recalled in the Italian Orlando (= Roland) Furioso and inspired Western Establishment composers like Lully, Vivaldi and Handel. The Western elitists, who today fly Ukrainian flags from their Establishment buildings, government offices, town-halls, castles and Catholic and Protestant churches in Western Europe and name their children ‘Roland’ and ‘Orlando’, will tell you that ‘Roland’ is a Western hero, a Zelensky from the past.
Conclusion: Europequake
Western and Central Europe faces a turning-point. Its Native Peoples face defeat or victory. The first great Basque/Native European victory over the invading elite took place in 778, the second in 824. The 1200th anniversary of Roncevaux II is approaching fast. May the anniversary of this great victory of Native Europeans be inspirational to the peoples of Europe today. The Native Europeans defeated the Frankish elite then; so we can again today. The 1200th anniversary of Roncevaux II is coming in 2024. Let us make that Roncevaux III.
7 September 2022
Native Irish are approximately 50% Basque genetically – you’ll find similar neolithic structures in Antequera, Andalusia as in Newgrange, Boyne valley. These people are thought to have migrated from Anatolia through the mediterranaen to Spain and north along the Atlantic fringes. Some of the boyne valley people migrated to the Orkneys and it may be that this Orkney culture spread south through the UK with Stonehenge among their built legacy
It amazes me the everyone came from the Caucasus or Anatolia. Was there spontaneous generation of peoples there?
May so be; if it is connected to a historic event where agriculture appeared for example, producing many people, then to expand. That seems to have happened with agriculture although some also argue that early agriculture left people deficient in certain nutrients and vitamins plus back breaking labor, so expansion was slow – in time forcing out the healthy but less numerous hunter gatherers who were not willing or able to adapt to the new lifestyle.
Stonehenge is pre-celtic, Europe emerged from the last ice age thousands of years ago and with the reclining ice shields in Europe, people there also certainly increased in numbers.
Also historically, populations in Europe have often been conquered by populations coming in from the East.
The ice age of Europe made many species of trees and plants go extinct due to the East-West range of the alps that prohibited these species from migrating south when the last ice age began.
That was not so in the vast Eastern continent of Asia, where also many of our domestic animals and crops originate – more space and a richer ecology.
And for that, frequent human migrations from the East/South-East make sense.
Wow – this author really does have an imagination. Or as they say in Russia – porridge in brain.
Not sure how many Basques are in the UK or what Liz Truss’s DNA is (bit more certain about the IQ as there has been demonstrable lack thereof) but suspect strongly that any belligerent talk by her will be just hot air.
In c.2012 then-PM of UK, David Cameron, was weakened by political upheaval caused by division over homosexual marriage. This may have been popular with politicians – it was not something the average UK citizen wanted (going by anecdotal evidence or indeed, actually talking to people).
So when the political hot-potato of should we go to war in Syria over chemical weapons surfaced, Cameron was politically forced to create the precedent of asking the UK parliament – note that all previous decisions of this nature had always been taken by the PM alone or in consultation with his Cabinet.
Truss is not in a strong political position and would not be able to make a unilateral decision to go to war now Cameron set such a precedent – possibly his sole useful legacy.
So Truss will talk the talk and buy off the electorate with handouts (known as financial acumen in domestic policy terms. If applied to foreign policy it is called appeasement) and maybe the UK will survive the coming storm on borrowed money since – unlike Germany – it produces very little and relies mainly on financial services such as banking and insurance. Maybe these will last a while – who knows?
What is the point of referring to the misdeeds of past western rulers? Western elites were never only nice guys who tried to make a living without hurting anyone around them. The same applies to all elites of all nations which still exists. For otherwise these nations would no longer be around. In particular, it also applies to the Russian nobels of the past. And let’s not forget this, we all (or large parts of us) have the same indoeuropean ancestors in the male line. So the aggressive nature of western elites is something that has been born in the steppes of southern Russia.
The problem with the western elites today is not that they are aggressive. All elites of all times everywhere have been that way. The problem consists in the evil totalitarian or even satanic nature of the objectives which they pursue with their aggressive behavior and which has turned them into the worst enemies not only of other populations but also of their own populations. They are destroying everything, including the West itself.
You are right. Western elites would like to depopulate the world including their own states. These summer in Europe there are a lot of people everywhere. They are more and more calls for higher parking fees and other limitations. But Europe is not so densely populated like India or China. Elite would like to have everything for them without disturbance of ordinary people. So they promote cycling even on long distance instead of a good public transportation. New cars in Europe are more and more expensive and you need to wait a long time for it. This is the way to force people to be at home and near by. They are forcing electric cars which are not suitable for summer migrations. They are doing everything that ordinary people will stay at home and not bother enjoyment of the elite. Wages are more and more equal in our country. There is a little difference between low and high skill labour. More and more state money for various purposes. Working men should not be social problems. This will lead to free money for all just to survive working or not. There is strong propaganda for same sex relations, sex conversions and such. All this for not having children. All traditional religions are humiliated. Old people should chose suicide to end their life. Public services, education and healthcare is losing on quality. New migrants are wellcomed. New green agenda is destroying agriculture, industry and transportation. Young people can’t buy their apartment and start a family in a secure place.
Everything is being done to destroy tradition. To destroy native middle class and to move everyone into poverty. They think they will be poor and humble, all of them, natives and immigrants. But they are playing a dangerous game. Natives will revolt sooner or later, immigrants have their own elites and many hate their new homelands and many of them live separate with their own traditions and have children. At the end children of immigrants will prevail because of their traditional values. These are not European and christian but also prefer family, children, honor, tradition and faith. And they will remove western elite if natives will not. But will not be Europe anymore.
@Topol
No, there will not be anymore the EU we know, but there will be a new continent, a new EU based on people who have faith, tradition, honor and want to start a family, and it will not matter which race or religion they belong to.
You forgot to mention the unique nature of current technology, that makes the current power grab so overwhelmingly possible.
If the Anglo-Zio-Satanic Elites can get there hooved feet into Russia they could probably gorge in comfort for another century.
Just think, if Khodorkovsky (exiled in London ) in the early 2000’s had been able to offload his stolen Russian energy assets to EXXON, Russians would have been eating the same shit/gruel/swill us Europhiles are about to endure.
Thankfully for Russia VV Putin stuck a wedge into their dastardly plans and it’s from this moment onwards they stepped up their vilification of him and his nation.
Is it true that Liz Truss is going to reveal the whereabouts of the Skripals and provide us with the unredacted transcript from the black boxes of MH17 handed over to them by The House of Orange, Dutch? Or will they join the JFK and other fuck-you Joe Public files buried deep under the satanic labyrinth?
An excellent article, as always.
Let me just throw a little light on the mych maligned history of linguistics, all product of idle colonial classes, and much knowkedge still in need of light. It is a mistake to think of undoeurooean being the language of invaders, and Basq a natibe language. It indeed IS native, and the part of old Eurasian layer that spread during ice age from the region around BlacknSea — Balkans, Anatolia and Caucases. It is from there that has soread through Iran to Indian subcontinent, frim Balkans to Europe, from Caucases to Central Asia and India.
Proifs are plenty, But one woukd suffice. Gramatically the fotmation of infinitive endings in -tu, same as in Balkans -tii, or Sanskrit -tu(m), and throughout Slavic universe, -t.
Other native languages ofvEuropean north contain very little of the Eurasian Vedic grammar. These two layers gave us French and German, on one end, and Mediterranear Spanish, Portugese, Italian varieties at the other.
Basque is a stellar examole of the layer much older then the touted Indoeurooean.
One can always argue the origins of words. But it is the grammar that cannot be fooled.
Batiushka,
“But perhaps none of them is more likely to fall first than the UK. For it has a new Prime Minister, who, unthinkably, is an even greater clown than the last one and even threatens to press the nuclear button”
Come on, Liz Truss is just an ex CND (Campaing For Nuclear Disarnament From Leeds) who looks a lot better than Catherine Ashton (also ex CND) and also a lot better than Hilary Clinton who ate her for mincemeat as the The American Coup of Ukraine started in 2004
Haven’t you heard the phone calls and the transcripts from 2004. The Saker made most of them available
Catherine Margaret Ashton, Baroness Ashton of Upholland, GCMG, PC (born 20 March 1956), is a British Labour politician who served as the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and First Vice President of the European Commission in the Barroso Commission from 2009 to 2014.
She didn’t have a clue.
I am not suggesting Liz Truss knows anything about her job yet.
She has only just started.
Don’t be Prejudiced.
She hasn’t actually done anything yet.
Everyone, including most of the UK commentariat is giving her a hard time.
Give the Girl a Chance.

Many thought nobody could be worse than Boris Johnson, myself included. How wrong we all were.
Next to this woman, Boris was a prince among men.
Hi, as a basque myself, I got a good laugh while reading you. Don’t get me wrong, you are basically right about the events in Orreaga -which is the basque name of the site where these battles were fought. And not very many people knows about the second one. But the assimilation between the old and current names is really funny.
Some of us stand in solidarity with the good people of the Donbass. We know what is to have friends and relatives framed as terrorist, detained, tortured an imprisoned (even killed) by a fascist regime and their local stooges.
However, the current avalanche of censure and propaganda is so overwhelming that even many of us think Ukraine’s situation is hust an unjustified Russian invasion. Let’s hope that a good victory where the defeated enemy comes back to their base with just their clothes after having their rearguard killed to the last man and all the baggage seized will not be considered “just a skirmish” this time
Boris Johnson has played his future triumphant return very well, he has put a dwarf in his place (Liz) and in the meantime he will wait to return to being the “desired” of English politics when Liz Truss becomes unbearable.
As for the native Europeans that I can say, I am Spanish, with native Jewish blood and the rest of the others as well. The Jews arrived in Spain 2,500 years ago, the Celts 3,000 years ago, the Iberians 10,000 years ago from the east, they are related to the Basques, and finally the legendary and ancient Tartessians, mentioned in the Bible.
The Muslims were expelled from Spain in 1609 by Philip III, they were an existential threat to Spain, and the southern half of Spain was repopulated by people from northern Spain, southern France, and Swiss, yes Swiss.
Europe as a political name exists since the western schism starting in 1517, before, in the middle ages, it was called “Christendom,” I hope that it will be called that again, with the beautiful name of Christianity.
So will the Lord.
Fascinating story, no matter that the ‘autochtony’ of the Basques is far from ascertained!
There are nevertheless some ‘missing links’. Namely the ‘controversial’ (i.e jumbled by interpretation whith the intent to discredit the truth) story of Makhir ben Yehudah Zakkai of Narbonne or Makhir ben Habibai of Narbonne or Natronai ben Habibi, the Babylonian-Jewish scholar supposedly descendant of the ‘House of David’ and later, the ”supposed” leader of the Jewish community of Narbonne.
The story, related by Abraham ibn Daud (Spanish-Jewish astronomer, historian, and philosopher; born at Córdoba, Spain about 1110) in his ‘Sefer ha-Qabbalah’ (Book of Tradition), written about 1161 which purports to explain how the pre-Inquisition Spanish-Jewish community became the center of the Jewish world by claiming that four rabbis from Babylonia, which had been the center of Jewish scholarship for centuries, were travelling across the Mediterranean by ship in 990 goes like that:
”Then King Charles sent to the King of Baghdad requesting that he dispatch one of his Jews of the seed of royalty of the House of David. He hearkened and sent him one from there, a magnate and sage, Rabbi Makhir by name. And Charles settled him in Narbonne, the capital city, and planted him there, and gave him a great possession there at the time he captured it from the Ishmaelites. And he [Makhir] took to wife a woman from among the magnates of the town and the King made him a nobleman and designed, out of love for him, good statutes for the benefit of all the Jews dwelling in the city, as is written and sealed in a Latin charter; and the seal of the King therein [bears] his name Carolus; and it is in their possession at the present time. The ‘Prince’ Makhir became chieftain there. He and his descendants were close with the King and all his descendants”.
Irrespective of the uncertain chronology of Makhir’s landing in Occitanie, it is undeniable that the Makhir family enjoyed for centuries many privileges and that its members bore the title of “nasi” (prince). Benjamin of Tudela, who visited Narbonne in 1165, speaks of the exalted position occupied by the descendants of Makhir, and the “Royal Letters” of 1364 also record the existence of a rex Iudaeorum (King of the Jews) at Narbonne. The place of residence of the Makhir family at Narbonne was designated in official documents as “Cortada Regis Judæorum”.
So, the rise of the Carolingians, their unholy alliance with the Caliph of Baghdad against Byzantium, the conversion to Judaism of the Khazars happening at roughly the same time with a spate of conversion to Judaism in the Carolingian realm (the Deacon Bodo who would flee to Muslim Spain), the creation of ‘Papacy’ by the Frankish kings, the story of the ‘Radhanites’ (the Jewish merchants, bankers and slave-traders dominating the commercial routes linking the Mediterranean, Middle-East, China – actually the ‘Silk road’), the claim (spurious or not) of European dynasties that they are ‘descendants of King David, are more related than historians are keen to admit.
Batiszka writes the truth. Everything that happens must be viewed in metaphysical and eschatological terms. These are questions of spiritual struggle, and economic matters are an addition. The Collective West is a satanic creation of Charlemagne’s pride who, out of purely personal ambitions, did not hesitate to distort the teachings of the Church by adding Filioque. Successive rulers of the West did not hesitate, under the pretext of liberating the Holy Land, lead to the weakening and, as a consequence, the collapse of the then only truly Christian empire – Byzantium. The entire west is based on a pyramidal lie that has lasted more than 1,000 years. Orthodox Christians in the East preferred to be enslaved by the Ottoman Turks, but to have the freedom of their religion guaranteed, a thread under the Latin rule and forced to change their orthodox faith. Now the West is doing the same, but by not forcing a change of faith, it is forcing evil and Satanism to be good. Will the indigenous Europeans prevail? Yes, but only if they deny the thousand-year-old lie they participated in. Is it possible? I do not know …..
Excellent synopsis but the “West “ did and does still try to convert the Orthodox. The US forced the Patriarch of Constantinople to give the Ukrainian an autonomous church and abrogated the understanding it has had with the Russians that they would be in control of all Russian lands and of course including the Ukraine. Sadly, the Russians are partly to blame for this by their helping the Bulgarians have a Bulgarian Exarchate back in the late 1800s.
The Clash of Civilization by Huntington specifically says that The Protestants should help the Vatican destroy Orthodoxy in any way it can . It does this by making life hard for the Christians of the Middle East (via Syria and Iraq and Israel ) who are mainly Orthodox or Catholic and breaking up all resistant Orthodox Nations ie Ukraine, Russia, Greece ,Serbia etc .Don’t forget the Greek Catholics or Galicians who are mostly converted Orthodox , who never came back to Orthodoxy when liberated from Polish and Austro-Hungarian rule. In addition, the Vatican under Pope Francis specifically and publicly prayed for Catholicisation of all Ukraine . He walked that back , but he did do it.
In the end the Vatican is foolish as the book and its policy -used by all the powerful in Washington- also states that the Vatican is to be destroyed once the Orthodox are beaten so goodbye South America, France ,Poland and Hungary. The policy only allows for a relatively powerful Germany which is at least half -Protestant and is the hub of manufacturing of Europe. So the USA took on Hitler’s Lebenraum theory allowing a central nation -Germany- and many weak satellite nations including Russia. All to be then used as vassals of the US to take on …China.
The British did get a vote on the EEC and voted ‘yes.’ Unfortunately, in 1993 the EEC became the EU and the British didn’t get a vote on that until 2016 when the referendum produced Brexit. We were dragged in by the back door by political treaties.
The British voted yes for EEC believing that they would dominate it. When that hope did not materialize to their content they found out that it was ‘imposed’ to them and wanted out.
You may be interested in the ancient tribes of England. Interestingly the county borders are still roughly based on the tribal borders.

“Not surprisingly, the Durotriges resisted Roman invasion in AD 43, and the historian Suetonius records some fights between the tribe and the second legion Augusta, then commanded by Vespasian.”
We had running battles with the barbarian Romans, even Caesar called the Durotriges troublesome. When the barbarian Vikings turned up on our shores, they were beheaded much to the surprise of the archaeologists when they DNA tested the beheaded remains.

Dear Batiushka, I wholeheartedly concur with your analysis of the goings on off the coast of Europe.
As for your long rendering of the Roncevaux/Roncesvalles story and the fate of Roland, as well as the parallels you draw between the Carolingian empire and current events, I beg to differ.
Serious doubts are warranted concerning the very historicity of Charlemagne, at least concerning the way he is being presented. There are at least three Charlemagnes: 1) the one that you are referring to, exclusively based on the rather apocryphal biographies by Einhard and Notker, 2) the imaginary Charlemagne as suggested by dr. Heribert Illig, and 3) Charlemagne as a regional Italian ruler as suggested by dr. Giovanni Carnevale. There may be a fourth one, according to dr. Gunnar Heinsohn, namely, Charlemagne as a regional Roman governor at Aix-la-Chapelle somewhere in the third Century AD.
Some years ago, not being a medievalist myself, I approached the major mainstream academic specialists on Charlemagne, namely the historians dr. Patrick Geary and dr. Steffen Patzold, and a leading archeologist, dr. Frans Theuws.
Here is the link to the article I published in 2014. It is in Dutch but through a good translating machine you should be able to read it: http://www.historien.nl/raadsels-rond-karel-de-grote/
Correct. Charlemagne, and much of what passes for “history” between the seventh and tenth centuries, is fictitious; the work of ecclesiastical forgers working in monasteries throughout Europe and producing the histories required of them by kings and prelates. The Isidorian Decretals and the Donation of Constantine are the most famous examples, but there were many more. Even the existence of the centuries between 615 and 915 AD is highly unlikely.
St Paul warned his disciples of what will happen around the last days: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables”.
Sound doctrine/teaching is the Christian teaching that people will not listen in the ”perilous time of the last days” because ”men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived”.
The ‘theories’ of the ilk of Fomenko, Illig, Heinsohn come under that category of ‘fables’ meant to attack and destroy the ‘sound teaching’ of the Church of Christ.
It is known that the ‘new chronology’ is the product of the fervid mind of the terrorist SR and later Bolshevik, Nikolay Alexandrovich Morozov, concocted during a detention of 25 years in the Tsarist jails. His theories have been warmly received by the ‘bezbozhniki’ who popularized it. Nowadays they are popular with the far-right Russian pseudo-‘nationalists and anti-putinist ‘dissidents’ (Gary Kasparov).
They are also meant to erase the last vestiges of the ‘Western’ European Christian culture and civilization f rom the minds of its inhabitants.
No, it was not Morozov who first suggested that the chronology used in the “West” was inflated. Actually it was Isaac Newton in the 18th century.
Nor is it correct to regard the concepts of Fomenko, Illig and Heinsohn as similar or interchangeable, as you seem to be doing. They are quite divergent as to the number of years in the prevailing chronology they consider in excess. They also have reached their conclusions by way of different facts and arguments.
Your references to the Gospel are understandable, but they belong to the realm of faith, which is fundamentally different from the trivium and the quadrivium, as I suppose you will agree.
The unifying thread of Morozov/Fomenko/Illig/Heinsohn ‘conclusions’ is the bold assertion that all sources of history as we know it, in particular of Christianity (Gospels), are forgeries of the corrupt, malevolent clergy of a fake religion who invented a false history which would serve as ideological basis for the exploitation of the downtrodden masses (“opium of the masses”).
Newton did not do that. He did not contest the accuracy of Biblical chronology seeking to reconcile the chronologies of the Greek sources with it. His principal thrust was to demonstrate ‘scientifically’ the time when the Jews would return from their dispersion to the land promised to them by the ‘God of Abraham’. Newton was a Zionist avant la lettre.
‘Fomenkoism’ is part of the ‘cancel culture’ of wokeism, LGBT+, ‘cultural marxism’, you name it.
Anybody who has ever done some serious archival research can attest to the fact that, apart from rats and bookworms, there are other factors that have made key materials disappear, political motives being one of the most prominent. The forging of documents has also long been a favorite tool of the high and mighty, and by no means of them alone. Just look at Faelschungen im Mittelalter, 6 vols. Munich: Monumenta Germaniae Historiae, 1988-1990.
Again, I want to stress that Fomenko is not to be equated with Heinsohn and Illig. The chronology criticism that they and others are proposing is corroborated increasingly by objective and very serious scholarly work, such as by Israel Finkelstein, Shlomo Sand, Jean-Louis Brunaux and others.
Though I share your rejection of cancel culture, wokeism, LGBT lunacy, Frankfurter Schule, New School of Social Research, etc., I think chronology criticism has hit on issues that require serious consideration. With all due respect, nor do I think it is helpful to hold on to religious dogma where scholarly and scientific questions are being discussed.
@I think chronology criticism has hit on issues that require serious consideration
Why do you think it require serious consideration? Because it ‘confirms’ your initial bias that ‘religious dogma’ is false (that I am sure that you believe you found it by yourself)?
The whole endeavor of the ‘anti-Scaligerian’ chronologists is to deny the Christian story and accuse the Church of falsification and the whole culture built around the Christian worldview (and of course its representatives – the ‘Academia’).
Please, do not put words in my mouth. I never said that “religious dogma is false.” I wrote “nor do I think it is helpful to hold on to religious dogma where scholarly and scientific questions are being discussed.”
Holding on to religious dogma when discussing scholarly and scientific problems may give spiritual comfort, but really entails abandoning such discussions. When tha alpha and omega of, for instance, the “coscienza” (Vico) of history is religious faith, history itself becomes religion and ceases to be an academic discipline.
With that kind approach, there would never have been trains, automobiles, airplanes, dishwashers, air conditioning, and no sliced bread.
Perhaps, however, you are right and we should al live like hermits, but that is perhaps not what God intended when he told people to go forth and multiply.
The point you avoid discussing is that the revisionist ‘chronologists’ ‘theories’ are not a ”scholarly discussion” of ”scientific questions”, but have a specific agenda, discrediting the Christian ‘religious dogma’ and history. In the case of Fomenko is coupled with a radical re-interpretation of Russian history and misinterpretation of ‘Eurasianism’, with appeal to the lunatic fringe of neo-pagans who claim that Christianity was a disaster for Russia and must revert to the ‘Slavic gods’. He in fact introduces surreptitiously the idea (dear to the ‘Ukrainians’) that the Khazars (disguised in his parlance as the ‘Russian Horde’, the ‘great Slav-Turkish Empire’) are the real natives of Russia, who must get rid of the Muscovite ‘occupiers’.
I have no way of verifying what you are saying about Fomenko’s true intentions, but your suspicions might be right. Perhaps he is out to attack Christianity, who knows? His basic point, that of the statistical congruency of so many lines of rulers, is quite powerful and I have not yet encountered any arguments that would invalidate it. But I agree that in many instances, his reasoning goes over very, very thin ice.
Again, as for Heinsohn, Illig, Topper, De Sarre, Baldauf, Johnson, Sand, and all the others, I haven’t seen a single instance in their writings that would corroborate your assertions. You would do me a great favor if you could indicate the places where you think they show their true, anti-Christian intentions.
Wouldn’t be the denial of Christian history proof enough?
Queen of Britain and Ukraine… … making a good job at looking haughty
LOL
Medvedev’s Telegram:
About two international news
1. Changing of the guard in Britain: the freak-uncle left, the freak-aunt came.
The new prime minister: a) an incompetent and mediocre thermonuclear Russophobe who does not have elementary ideas about politics, history, geography, but wants to defeat Russia in everything; b) pretends to be Margaret Thatcher, not having even 5 percent of her abilities; c) expects to overcome the energy crisis and food inflation, which became a consequence of her own delusional sanctions exercises. She will quarrel with everyone, fail everything and leave in disgrace, like her predecessor, the shaggy Boriska. Well, in Britain, famous for its traditions, it seems there is another one.
2. A man with a sad face by the name of Borrel said that Russia is a fascist state.
I would not go back to this disgusting statement of the narrow-minded EU commissioner, but I have to specifically emphasize that such things should never be forgotten by anyone. This official should be permanently included in the lists of non-grata beings without the right of pardon.

Spain is an expert on fascist dictatorships, hence Borrel’s comment:

Since Borrel is a Catalan, one might understand his rooting for the Ukraine. On the other hand, both Spain and his Eurocrat colleagues in Brussels only recently suffocated yet another Catalan attempt to attain its independence. Instead of resigning as a man with a backbone ought to do, Borrel remained in office, proving he is just another Paleface that speaks with two tongues. Like the rest of the EUSSR leadership.
Borrel is actively anti – Catalan Independence and has always been a Globalist and One Spain man, even though he is a Catalan as you say. He is pro Ukraine because that is what his masters , the USA and Israel tell him to be. His first wife was a French woman from an Israeli Kibbutz , so his children with her are likely Jewish.
The septic Isle is indeed in a lot of trouble. To add to your list of imposed upheavals, the indigenous Britains were never given a say upon the implementation of the 1948 commonwealth immigration act, which began the massive and destructive policy of third world immigration. At least with the Common market entry we were given a referendum.
Now that the bread and circuses are ending, and millions face unemployment and eviction from mortgaged properties they can no longer afford, the British have a simple choice- freeze or fight.
Sorry But the Byzantine Greeks were the first to stop the Great Foreign Invaders (Moslem and Slav Federation ) in late 600 AD in Constantinople, just as the Greeks stopped the Persians in the Persian Wars in the 5th century BC as well .
The comparison of the Frankish church to woke fanatics has some validity but is very narrow. The history of ‘Christian’ conquest and colonialism derived philosophically from Judaic scriptures glorifying divine conquest and ethnic cleansing is far more murderous and historically massive than the relatively contained bickering among Democrats and other privileged Neoliberals.
Generally a very interesting look at Colonialism and shifting populations going back over a millennium. The idea that the Basque language has origins in pre Indo European languages was entirely new to me and very fascinating. How far back I wonder does writing in Basque go. Kudos for a fascinating article.
Some of the comments make me think of a book by Douglas Reed , the controversy of Zionism. Which I need to read again.
The BBC show the old color tape of the Queen’s coronation today, and showed her waving to the crowds of thousand’s from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, 1952. It showed the crowd: All white, native Britons, not a “person of color” among them. Compare that to London today. Britain is already conquered. Multiculturalism and diversity does that.
Thank-you :-)
Native Americans do think that the barbarian Custer was defeated. Perhaps Johnny Cash said it best, the general he don’t ride well anymore.

Very loved to read this history NOT from the fraudulent Charlemagne’s elitist followers viewpoint. Ch.I was a bloodthirsty despot who did not found anything, even less shaped Europe by a dynasty. His Reich, his rules by sword based order ended with him and broke immediately into three parts bc. he left three sons i.e. heirs. Ch.I just drank blood like other, more healthy people would drink wine if they wanted to get really hammered and die bc. of alcoholic OD poisoning, as 2 or 3 of the elite college students in the US do per ivory college* every semester partying as if hell is to come next morrow. Maybe it is…
Thanks Batiushka.
Btw Charlemagne was not a glorious tall, bright knight as he is always shown in this cheap TV histotainment “documentaries” real life playscenes, he was a fat old bastard who looked more like Franz-Josef Strauss, if someone remembers that Bier mug expertise politician of bavaria back in the middle of the 20th century, who gave Germany the delight of cardboard tanks by Hispano Suiza (Swiss) in the roaring ’50th for the little amount of Millions of Deutschmark. Usefully spent money, just as to deliver tons of assignats to Ukraine.
(From a native peasant who already got his pitchfork sharpened, and ready to go.)
* story of this death toll delivered by Max Blumenthal who went to one of this elite colleges, heard it while he joined Jimmy Dore’s.
