So a deal was apparently reached in Lausanne. It is not quite final, and there might be zig-zags, but it looks likely that a deal will be reached between Iran and the AngloZionist Empire. Except for, in this case, the Anglos appear to be distinctly happier than the Zionists. So, what is going on here?
First and foremost, and I have said that innumerable times on this blog, this is not about some putative Iranian nuclear weapons program. I will not repeat all the arguments in detail here (those interested can look into the archives), but here is a short summary of why Iran never intended to have a nuclear weapon:
1) Iranians are very smart, not stupid. They fully understand that a few nuclear weapons would make absolutely no difference in a war against Israel or the US or anybody else. If used aggressively, they would trigger a massive response and if used defensively, in response to an attack, they would not be here in the first place, because any attack would begin by a counter-force disarming strike, possibly a nuclear one. Any putative Iranian nuclear forces lacks both the survivability and flexibility needed to be used or even to deter any attack.
2) Acquiring a military nuclear capability would instantly turn Iran into a pariah state. We saw the sanctions against Iran against an imaginary nuclear program; you can imagine what they would be against a real one.
3) Iran is uninvadable as a country – it is too big, the terrain too complex, the population too large and, frankly, its armed forces too strong. Compared to Iran, both Afghanistan and Iraq were easy targets (there is a reason why the US has not even attempted to invade Iran since 1979!). Iran can, however, be very heavily bombed with missiles and successive airstrikes. This is not the kind of threat a nuclear capability can deter. In other words, Iran does not even need nukes.
4) The US intelligence community has admitted that Iran has no military nuclear program. All they could claim is that Iran had one in the past. Considering the pressure the US intelligence community was under at the time, this is as exculpatory a report as can be realistically expected.
5) The Iranian spiritual leaders have gone on the record multiple times and most officially declared that nuclear weapons are immoral, un-Islamic and forbidden. Secularists tend to believe that religious folks are always liars, I tend to believe that they do follow the principles which they believe in.
6) It is most definitely not about anybody wanting to get (or prevent) and “Islamic bomb” as Pakistan already has just that.
So if this not about nukes, what is it?
Simple!
1) It is about not allowing the Islamic Republic of Iran to become a viable, vibrant and prosperous alternative to the Wahabi and Zionist client-states in the region.
2) Is is about showing that even Iran can and will be bullied into submission to the Axis of Kindness.
3) It is about preventing Iran from acquiring its own civilian nuclear research program, which is a source of technology and pride.
4) It is a pretext to impose vicious sanctions on Iran
5) It is a pretext to attack Iran militarily
6) It is about subverting the Iranian society
Now that we have listed the real stakes of the apparent agreement in Lausanne, we can also explain why Obama is pushing the deal while Netanyahu is appalled by it. The US deep state apparently came to the realization that a war with Iran would be a disaster for the USA and its Empire and the US might even be considering reaching some kind of modus vivendi with Iran before the entire Middle-East explodes, because of the multiple foreign policy mistakes of the USA in the region. We are not talking about a US-Iranian love fest, at least not quite yet, but rather a way from freeing the USA from this exhausting and useless confrontation with the key regional superpower. With now three major potential wars possible (Ukraine, Yemen, Iran), the US wants at least one put back on the back burner to free resources for the other two.
For the Israelis, this is very bad news indeed, not because Iran is about to “commit another Holocaust” (sic), but because they put all their power, prestige, influence and, last but not least, hysterics into whipping up a crazy anti-Iranian panic and they have failed. These feelings of failure and fear will now also be shared by the Saudis.
Will the Israelis strike alone?
Militarily, they don’t have what it takes to meaningfully strike Iran. But they sure can strike hard enough to create a crisis and since artificially creating fear, chaos and tensions is what Israel does best, there is a good chance they might try that in despair. The problem with any of such strategies is that Iran has numerous asymmetrical options which I listed as far back as 2007 in an article entitled Iran’s asymmetrical response options. Much has changed since 2007, but fundamentally these options for Iran are still there.
I have to confess here that I have been predicting a US and/or Israeli attack on Iran since I created this blog in 2007 and, so far at least, I have been proven wrong. Will the Israeli Ziocrazies prove me right now? Possibly. For them, it has become a political necessity to show the region and the world “who is boss” and right now, it sure does not look like Israel is.
Between the the war in the Ukraine, the war in Yemen and the tensions around Iran – 2015 is shaping up to become an exceptionally dangerous year. And the key leaders are all either dumb, or crazy, or ideologically fanaticized. God help us all in our resistance to the Empire and its shock troops!

Zio-crazies power depends on their ability to fool and co-opt non-zios. When people are awake, zios have limited options. They can either sampson or pivot. My bet is pivot. Which includes back-tracking from people and positions which mark them as deceitful, mendacious traitors. And leave the stinking pile on the GOPs and Fundie-zionist-X-ians lap. Tick-tock, indeed.
This is an excellent analysis The Saker!!
The reasons you list – particularly preventing Iran from developing into vibrant regional power – and, by extension, a globalforce to be reckoned with – are spot on. I don’t think the Anglo-Zio Cabal have ever forgiven the Iranians for overthrowing the corrupt and controllable Shah.
Reading your ‘Axis of Kindness’ article, I immediately wondered what would happen if the Houthis invaded Saudi and took over the oil-fields: I can see an Islamic-Socialist Federation controlling the wealth of the region through internal dispensation being Anglo-Zion’s biggest nightmare.
Perhaps they see the strongly theocratic Iran as being more ‘controllable’, given that on the basis of scale alone, there is bound to be better opportunities to capitalize on pockets of dissent. The H
“I don’t think the Anglo-Zio Cabal have ever forgiven the Iranians for overthrowing the corrupt and controllable Shah.”
According to Engdahl, “Century of War”, the Shah had turned good, and was overthrown by the Anglos.
It always baffled me that the Ayatollah was living in exile in France and promptly placed on the throne. Then again France is always full of surprizes aren’t they. Not generally pleasant one’s either.
Successful socialist states anywhere in the world no matter how seemingly insignificant are the greatest threat the Capitalist SOCIAL ORDER faces and the one it will not tolerate-Religion it can live with, secularism and capitalist democracy even with a social safety net fine, but socialised property forms in the commanding heights of the economy fergetaboutit as far as they are concerned.
We need to encourage and support Latin and South America in their egalitarian struggles as much as we possibly can. The large indigenous Spanish population is USA is perhaps a vector for greater social change in the rest of the population. That “war on drugs” is no war on drugs but a war on the working class struggle in the Southern America.
US/Israel/Saudi have also been trying to prevent Iran from becoming the dominant power in the Levant. Their war on Syria (another member of the Axis of Resistance) is motivated by the same goal. Sy Hersh wrote about this back in 2007: The Redirection – Is the Administration’s new policy benefitting our enemies in the war on terrorism?
There’s a good chance that this is just a ‘breather’. Obama’s obviously not a big fan of ME policy. The neocons will just outlast him and cajole whoever succeeds him into finishing the job in the ME.
you and other readers might be interested in the following synopsis of the various players in Yemen, the process by which Saleh was deposed, the process by which the Houthis ended up rolling out thru out Yemen, how the Yemeni military fits in, the Saudi and Iranian motivations and interests. The following clip summarizes it.
—not sure how objective the author is, however it does give an excellent primer on Yemeni politics, factions and recent history:

He’s a pretty good….he’s from Azerbaijan and a scholar of world Geo-politics.
He’s not always right, but he does understand the main issues and points.
He has a YouTube channel for all his other shows.
Well, I’m confused. He is saying that the conflict began as sunni against shia, with Iran supporting the latter, but articles on RT (and I’m aware a lot of what they have reported recently about the Saudi attack on Yemen has not been correct) stressed that those divisions were difficult to define in Yemen, plus two excellent Crosstalk discussions downplayed any Irani involvement.
The latest Crosstalk made the point well that it is to the advantage of those sowing chaos to emphasize religious divisions, (and in the case of Libya, divisions between east and west, as then they did in Ukraine). But also that, as for Russia facing western sanctions, in Yemen the bombing and destruction of infrastructure, loss of lives of civilians (very similar to Gaza) has unified former divided groups. That makes sense to me. I didn’t watch the entire liveleaks program – maybe the gentleman narrating comes to that conclusion, though as I say, his opening remarks did confuse me.
Excellent analysis Saker.
Are Obama and Kerry showing a growing resistance to the Neocons? Has Kerry, a homegrown, cardboard cutout diplomat, gained some respect, understanding (admiration..?) of Russia and Iran from his recent engagements with Lavrov?
You all laugh. But I believe it’s dawning on him that he’s playing on the football team with the irrational, bloodthirsty parents (Nuland and McCain). But it’s a day late and a dollar short as they say.
I’m a simple minded fool, but it seems to me that Israel has required war and extreme conflict to become established and remain what it is since the beginning of the last century. Therefore as soon as these conditions no longer exist then their ideology will also collapse into disarray. People won’t like me saying this, but if you want to know why the Jews never had their own country so many centuries ago, take a look at what Israel is today…. Sorry, I mean no harm, but brains set in stone are deaf dumb and blind to life….by that I mean any fixed ideology, not only the poor Jewish/Zionist sect….but I could be wrong.
With all respect to my (secular) Jewish friends, it seems that Jews have been expelled, enslaved or killed in just about every place they have been for the last 3,500 years. It also seems that in many places they have ghettoized themselves–as is Israel a ghetto. At some point most folks would ask themselves the question, “What am I doing to cause such animosity.”
@Macon Richardson,
What you said Gilad Atzmon (a former Jew) said too; except he included the secular Jews.He considers them exactly the same. As to the Jews asking themselves the question, “What am I doing to cause such animosity.”…. they know what they’ve been doing for thousands of years. They just don’t care what non-Jewry world think.
@ The Saker
“… They fully understand that a few nuclear weapons would make absolutely no difference in a war against Israel or the US or anybody else [etc.] …”
Though the same argument could then be used about other weaker countries. Pakistan and North Korea come to mind. So, there just might be some reason, however specious, for having it, such as deterrence, making an attack costly/costlier for the enemy. (Beyond that, come to think, even the US and Russia would hardly need it…)
i don’t know, but now is very dangerous situation like never before because deal is reached and for what purpose? If US want to control M.E. without blundering too much as they do constantly, it need some reliable and stable partner. Israel is just criminal state in overt/covert war with everybody except some medieval countries around. Iran could be a very good partner to control whole M.E. without bombing anyone. But what if Israel does not want to be marginalized and to lose US rich support and everything what goes with? Israel may try to inflame war between USA and Iran by some false flag op. like, sinking US ship in Persian gulf. I doubt they will just sit calm and accept deal and became Nº 2.
The Teleprompter is not pushing this “deal” because of any realization that the next Middle East War would lead to WW3. He is doing it, like the very sudden and surprising Cuba “deal”, to preserve some shred of legacy for his “administration”! Didn’t he invoke JFK just before this “deal” was announced?!?
For anyone who would like to know what Iran today is really like, here is a great travel documentary on the real Iran: bit.ly/1MCyQVh
Beautiful Iran, beautiful people!
Soy Davood!
Plus a five millennia old tradition and history. Fantastic classical music, refined poetry, healing arts rivaling India’s ayurveda, top notch philosophy and more fakirs, yogis, saints than the whole West taken together.
Economically, Iran may lag behind, but their education system is world class. Both in sciences and art. I love Iranian cinema. Check for example the recent movies by Asghar Farhadi – sublime script writing and sophisticated storytelling on par with with the best of the best.
I am not so sure. Under the Shah Iran was for many years America’s main ally in the Middle East.
Iran has one very big geographical flaw or shortcoming–its oil reserves, fields & facilities are all in that western sliver pretty much khuzestan province here. Highly vulnerable to a contrived bombing/invasion, rather like we just saw in Yemen:
http://www.oilempire.us/oil-jpg/iran_petroleum_facilities_2004.jpg
This facile “deal” does nothing for all the other forces intentionally cobbled together over the last 30+ years:
NATO’s ICI Istanbul Cooperative (2004);
GCC (1981) Gulf Cooperation Council–US Led–Littoral States, but NOT Iran;
Arab League (1945) Obviously Iran not in this, they’re not Arabs!;
Trivia: 2011 UAE became first ‘Arab’ state to install a NATO Ambassador!
Excellent, though lengthy piece by Ray Mc Govern:

Looks like a perfect excuse for regime change in Argentina.
Look out, Maduro!
British companies Premier Oil Plc and Falkland Oil and Gas Ltd have found oil and gas at a well off the disputed Falkland Islands. The discovery could aggravate further tensions between Buenos Aires and London over the sovereignty of the archipelago.

Russia was stupid to compare malivnas occupation with crimea one -by that russia legitimatized british aggression there and also annoyed and hurt ally Argentina. what a stupid traitor FM is this lavrov !
1982
The Argentina did a very stupid thing and Russia did more stupid thing in June 1982.
Argentina refused Russian help in sinking British pirate ships task force for Malvinas Island. The Malvinas island thing in which coward English used Uno to sanction Argentina and usa supplied arms to England while stopping any aid to Argentina by third party thru UN sanctions . The English cowards got a new lease of life for dreaming of new empire thus time they would call this not British empire but anglo-american empire or one world government controlled by English scumbags.
Second cold war was the direct consequence of loss of Malvinas.
Russia must help in killing as many English occupying troops as possible everywhere in the world. English are the real enemy of Russia .
Saker, one simple question:is this agreement good, bad or neutral for RF?In terms of competition on the energy market for exemple? Will it make the price of oil even lower(though bad for Russia)?
Will all sanctions be lifted?I guess there are secret terms in the agreement we will never know about?
Could the US try to change his alliance with the Saudis for Iran?
In summary we have agreements with Cuba and Iran suddenly, why not with North Korea soon?
Two evils remainging for the AZ:Russia and China.
Iran is not a regional superpower, they are the dominant regional power.
Iran does not possess a powerful conventional military, their strength lies in there large irregular forces, their non-linear tactics and strategies, their cohesiveness and organization, and their proven skills in being able to combine their military, intelligence, diplomacy and cultural assets to execute geopolitical objectives. In addition, Iran has created a phenomenal defense and resistance network (the Iranians have been digging in for decades).
Iran’s other strength is their Eastern psyche, their Persian heritage, sophistication and ethos: they fight unpredictably and unconventionally, they have and can stomached heavy losses and will keep fighting to the bitter end. They will not collapse in panic. This, of course, is a nightmare to conniving cowards that populate the corridors of power in west-minister/London whose own over-rated military forces have never fared well against an equally armed and determined enemy. (Think Gallipoli amongst other Western debacles).
A middle-east with nuclear weapons in multiple states neutralizes many of Iran’s natural advantages; they are largest, most cohesive, and experienced power in the MiddleEast. A middleeast without nuclear weapons guarantees Iran’s supremacy in the region. On the other hand, nuclear weapons in Iran’s hands would start a domino effect whereby the Arabs would try to acquire nuclear weapons from their impoverished and corrupt Pakistani underlings (who are all too eager to please their moneyed Salaafist Arab mentors, especially if the price is right). Once multiple players in the middleeast acquire even primitive Pakistan fission devices, it would impossible to rollback the Israeli nuclear weapons program. It would not surprise me, given the sophistication of the Iranians, that they may have a long term strategy in place to cap and rollback Israel’s nuclear program. In order for that even begin, nuclear proliferation to any Arab state cannot be allowed. The West too has been trying to undermine/ cap the Israeli program. This is a potential future wedge issue that Iran might believe they can exploit.
Today, in his speech, Obama was very transparent about why a negotiated deal was the viable option. He candidly stated that bombing Iran would only accelerate their nuclear weapons efforts and would not stop their nuclear program. He also said that sanctions will not deter Iran from proceeding with their current program. Finally, he admitted that Iranians “have honored their commitment” in last set of agreements with the IAEA since the last round of sanctions.
I fail to understand how having nuclear weapons is a tactical advantage to any nation in this day and age. The enormous problems of storage of waste, evident in the United States where there is still no permanent facility for such storage, (as evidenced by the failure of the underground depository near Carlsbad, New Mexico) makes nuclear fission as much a menace to society as any war, though it takes its path of destruction in slow but implacable steps over eons of time.
Not to mention the fact that any use of such weapons is bound to affect contiguous states, such as exist in the Middle East, and no doubt also one’s own country, depending on the vagaries of weather, tides, or whatever. The sandstorms of Africa even affect crop production across oceans.
At one time nations were realizing these facts and stepping back even from ‘atoms for peace’ which have foolishly wrecked so much of our planet. Greed and stupidity have overcome this sane acknowledgement of our frail hold on the environment – greed and stupidity by which we destroy ourselves.
I haven’t even mentioned depleted uranium, which the United States was using in Iraq even before they invaded, and we learned at what cost to the population there. I thought at the time this was to get rid of that waste, and no doubt there is still that reason for the bombing the US continues to want to do wherever it can.
If you think Israel’s nuclear program can be rollbacked, then you have SERIOUSLY UNDERESTIMATED their power. And if you think Iran has some ‘sophisticated long term strategy’ to neutralize Israel’s nuclear weapons then you are living in fool’s paradise. Only a brief look over the last couple of months of news coverage can give a good idea of Israel’s power:
Obama was TOTALLY helpless when Netanyahu decided to address the Congress in complete disregard to established protocol. Obama didn’t want it to happen but couldn’t do anything about it and he is supposed to be the most powerful president in the world. Not only that, AIPAC openly threatened the senators who were thinking about boycotting that Congress session and practically bullied many of them into attendance.
Israelis spied on Iran nuclear talks. They actually spied on a country which spies the rest of the world(Snowden leaks show only a glimpse). Now compare this to Iran: it faced crippling sanctions for something it didn’t do in the first place and couldn’t do anything about it. And Israel is so powerful that the most significant thing about the success of these negotiations is the fact that it happened even though Israel lobby was against it.
Iran definitely has shown courage standing up to the Zionists but we must be realistic.
It might be insightful to do a quick search on the status of Christians in Iran in Saudi Arabia. How many churches exist in SA? Zero. Iran seems quite accomodation by comparison. The more I learn about Iran, the more impreseed I am.
Another topic for comparison / crantrast is the status of women.
What I find amazing is just how supifying the US mass media is and that anyone acutally beleives it.
Indeed. Iran as a country and a society is very far from what MSM presents it.
While you’re at it, check a meeting between Ahmedinejad and Chavez, where they gently mock the US for saying the pair meet only to plot evil: “They think we’re busy making a bomb. perhaps in the caves of Miraflores (presid. palace). And we are! It’s a great and powerful bomb, whose fuel is love and friendship among nations, and mutual respect and helpfulness. A bomb to exterminate poverty and disease all over the world – and to free our brothers the American people from the scourge of their arrogant and selfish leaders…”
Two lovely human beings, whom the ‘arrogant” did their worst to make us dislike and despise…
Various U.S. treasury department officials (including David Cohen) have revealed there is no intention to remove all sanctions. Those that may be removed will be insignificant compared to the sanctions that are intended to remain. Furthermore, unreasonable demands and proposed ‘staging of sanctions reduction’ serve to prolong the negotiation period that facilitates the prolonging of sanctions/ economic warfare (same prolongation strategy as employed with the Palestinians of a perpetual ‘peace process’ that facilitates settlement expansion and economic strangulation). As employed against Iraq, accusations of non-compliance and the shifting of goal posts (additional demands) can and likely will be used to sabotage any interim agreement as any sanctions concessions are engineered to be reversed at the discretion of the U.S. and absent of legitimate criteria.
In the end this process is unlikely to achieve any lasting agreement as besides repeating the strategy that led to war against Iraq, other players such as Israel, Saudi Arabia and Israeli assets within the U.S. state apparatus are intent on sabotaging any deal and escalating hostile actions against Iran. Unfortunately war is likely to eventually occur regardless of any interim progress or agreement. Such a war will likely involve broader alliances.
The U.S. should have genuinely sought a peaceful resolution (instead of engaging in disingenuous behaviour). But other unfolding and approaching events shall likely render this issue mute.
“The U.S. should have genuinely sought a peaceful resolution (instead of engaging in disingenuous behaviour). But other unfolding and approaching events shall likely render this issue mute.”
Moot? In any case, which events are you refering to, if I may?
Lozion
It should be evident to any observer that there are clear parallels between current events and recent historical events that resulted in world war. And just as no nation wanted the first world war or the second world war, similarly the third world war (likely unfolding before us) will probably be unplanned.
As various conflicts continue to expand and intensify, direct war between military blocs is likely to eventually occur (as opposed to current proxy warfare operations). As with previous world wars, strategic agreements/ architecture will serve to eventually involve broader alliances. The outcome will be no different except technological advancements since have significant implications (mass destruction capabilities).
The militarism of the U.S./NATO/Israel/Partnership member bloc is globally expanding and is unlikely to cease until it reaches its logical conclusion (direct military conflict between military blocs despite efforts to prevent this outcome). Indeed, events in Ukraine are merely the relative quiet before a more significant conflict. I would say the same for the situation on the Korean peninsular, Nagorno-Karabakh, S Ossetia/Abkhazia, etc.
Low intensity conflicts are active in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Egypt and Pakistan (which is also involved in low intensity conflict with India). Numerous conflicts are spreading across the African region. The militarisation of the territorial disputes (such as the S China Sea) is escalating tensions. The conflicts in the Middle East are gradually expanding with larger wars approaching (Yemen vs a Saudi coalition forces, potential Israeli/Saudi strikes against Iran, Israeli military exercises/ military sources revealing preparations for another but far larger war with Lebanon, etc.). If I am correct, in time these many concurrent globally expanding low intensity conflicts and larger approaching conflicts between opposing military blocs will be recognised as one.
The current mobilisation of military forces/ assets/ missile architecture by Russia and the U.S./NATO bloc indicate preparations for this potential (I would argue probable) outcome.
p2. Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it and history is largely repeating only now it is occurring in a nuclear era. Only fools would repeat mistakes of the past that resulted in horror (including two world wars) but such is the nature of man. Unfortunately man’s capacity for mass destruction has developed in advance of his behaviour.
“The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything save our modes of thinking and we thus drift toward unparalleled catastrophe” [A. Einstein].
As computer simulations indicate that mutually assured destruction is likely, the horror of a nuclear war event (if it occurs) will likely result from desperation rather than calculation.
I am confident in my assessment of unfolding and approaching events but only time will reveal if I am correct or not. I hope that I am wrong.
P.S. Although there are indications that a third global conflagration is gradually developing, a resultant nuclear war event (which may or may not occur) does not translate to human extinction. Indeed, various scientific theories differ and are inconclusive as to the effects of such an event. If however this event does occur, it is self evident that this era would come to an end while those who survive would face a very different world. One can only hope that it would be a peaceful era and that mankind finally rejects (criminalises) the phenomenon of war.
More and more I see people posting on the internet that somehow nuclear war is survivable a most dangerous and ridiculous assumption. Those who do survive will wish that they didn’t and won’t survive in a world worth living in for long anyway. But it is frightening to see a generation somehow believing nuclear war is an option or can be limited or is survivable absolutely frightening development.
Your belief that a nuclear war event is not survivable is not based on fact. Your claim is merely based on your belief (similarly my assessment is based on my belief and not on verifiable fact which cannot be established). Only a nuclear war will reveal the actual outcome of such an event.
But it is also interesting to observe parallels between unfolding events and the phenomenon of prophecy.
“Two or three decades after the first war it will come one a Second War still larger. Almost all the nations of the world will be involved. Millions of men will die, without being soldiers. The fire will fall from the sky and many great cities will be destroyed. And after the end of the Second Great War, a third universal conflagration will come, so that it will determine everything. There will be weapons totally new. In one day, more men will die than in all the previous wars. The battles will be accomplished with artificial weapons. Gigantic catastrophes will happen. With the open eyes, the nations of the planet will go through these catastrophes…. Everything will be different from before, and in many places the Earth will be a great cemetery. The third great war will be the end of many nations.”[Stormberger]
(Interestingly, “The third great war will be the end of many nations”, not ‘all’ nations.)
p2. Although prophecy is an interesting concept (subject to belief or disbelief) and not based in science (other than arguable connections to the physics /dimensions of space-time), it is worth observing that the concept of 3 world wars is a common feature. It is also significant to observe that man’s technology has developed in advance of his behaviour such that the situation in which ” In one day, more men will die than in all the previous wars” is achievable. Furthermore, as I have previously stated, it is likely that in time these many globally expanding conflicts (and larger approaching conflicts) will likely be recognised as one.
Various prophecies similarly refer to the horror of a third global conflagration but fortunately another common concept/feature that is that after a short period, what is left of society will continue albeit back to a more basic existence (this would be logical as economies would be destroyed as would the production of goods).
If there proves to be validity to the foreseeing of a third global conflagration (I would suggest possibly unfolding before us), then indeed, ‘with open eyes’ (made possible by modern media) the world will likely ‘go through these catastrophes’. Fortunately, if such prophecies prove accurate, it will not be the end of the world but the end of an era.
p3. Indeed, Islamic prophecy also refers to a coming battle between Islam and those opposed to it. Many believe that such a war is already being waged by the U.S/NATO/Israel bloc, relating to their efforts to achieve political, economic, cultural and military primacy/ ‘full spectrum dominance’. If so, the foundations of the fulfilment of Islamic prophecy have been laid.
In addition to the efforts of the U.S./NATO/Israel bloc the subjugate successive Muslim nations (to achieve primacy), Israel has played and continues to play a key role in advocating/ engineering successive allied wars against Muslim states. The neoconservative doctrine of employing militarism to reshape the worlds map is interestingly also associated with Benjamin Netanyahu, who employed the terminology in the 1990’s (long before 9/11) and advocated for the need for the ‘west’ to engage in a ‘war on terror’.
As part of this pursuit of primacy, various Israeli assets/lobbyists are active in efforts to de-legitimise and stigmatise Islam (ideological warfare). But its ambitions and actions are progressing into a far more dangerous situation. The policy of waging ‘perpetual war’ against the enemies of the U.S./NATO/Israel military bloc will likely develop into a broader war between civilisations (both with Muslim states and in time other military blocs).
p4. ‘Gradual Judaisation of al Quds and the al Aqsa Mosque – foundations of a potential Holy War’
In addition to the state of Israel subverting many nations from within (a situation that is common knowledge), it also seeks to expand its territory involving the process of settlement expansion, ethnic displacement and Judaisation of areas. As the state of Israel is also determined to gradually Judaise the Al Aqsa Mosque the next stage will logically be a Holy War.
If I am correct about what is occurring, Islamic prophecy would also be consistent with approaching events. According to Islamic prophecy, after a coming horror (whereby this era of exploitation, corruption, greed and war shall end), for the survivors a new era will arrive and it shall be founded on the guiding principles of Islam (peace and justice) and will be in harmony with the teachings of Christ (Islam refers to Christ as a prophet). Only time will reveal if the phenomenon of prophecy has legitimacy.
The U.S. sanctions are not the issue. The UN sanctions regime is. One that is removed Russia, China and the solvent states in Europe will invest. The US and its oil companies will be left behind to stew enviously at France Germany et al. The U.S. is the loser in that game. Even more once the UN sanctions are lifted Iran will join SCO putting it squarely in the Eurasianist camp.
Israel must keep the “threat” of Iran alive, being an essential element of the Holocaust mythology. It also needs to keep the West on leash by forcing it to pretend they believe the Israeli lies as part of the same Holocaust mythology.
It’s a pity they’ve made Iran give up her research & medical uses of nuclear enrichment. I will believe they are dropping the sanctions when I see it.
And a bi-i-ig pity if they are not already developing a nuclear bomb to beat the c**p out of Y*** two doors down the old Silk road…
There was no such sacrifice. The only research covered is into centrifuges (i.e. more efficient uranium enrichment). This is some loss to the mechanical engineering community in Iran, but no loss to uranium enrichment which is limited anyhow..
Iran will not be attacked.
The Apartheid State prefers to operate in the dark [well, it tries to] and leave everyone else in the dark as well [well, it tries to].
I/you/we should be worried, if headlines are presented in the past tense, like “Teheran has been annihilated by a FUKUS bombing run.”
Iraq couldn’t win against Iran [1980-1988], despite the provision of US satellite pictures and all other c/overt help/assistance.
quote ” in this case, the Anglos appear to be distinctly happier than the Zionists.”
int hat case the deal is a big defeat for the Russian interests. Iran has been wooed away from Russia -anglos made sure that Iran stays neutral to preserve her no sanctions and Iran was wary of Russian not giving s-300 despite no legal problem.
meanwhile anglos can destabilize syria and Yemen with impunity while bullying Russia in the Baltic.
Poor bastards.
The guy quoted above goes on to say
“Now we will be able to live normally like the rest of the world,” he said,
They have not been told USA is not going t6o stop the sanctions. Oh yes, SLOWLY BIT BY BIT a few sanctions may be lifted…. the nuclear related ones.
All the extra US ones for the usual US reasons will stay…… and can be increased if they like, to match whatever else is removed on the other end.
“Meanwhile, other American sanctions on Iran for its support of terrorism, its human rights abuses, its ballistic missile program, will continue to be fully enforced.” Obama’s speechwriters said in a speech he read off the teleprompter.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/iran-nuke-deal-full-transcript-of-president-obamas-remarks-10153398.html
Best hope is for Congress to reject it and make USA look silly, as the speechwriters suggest.
The Guardian is currently running two articles. One about the massacre in Kenya, the other showing a graph of how many Muslims will live in Europe by 2050.
Comments on both articles are mostly blind hate for Islam/Muslims in general. Seems to be enough sentiment there to have public support for another invasion of some sort.
Country won’t matter so long as the public is told it’s Islamic.
Here’s a disturbing video from Kiev.
A man with a mobile coffee shop in his pick up is attacked by uniformed Heroes of the Ukraine because he won’t pay them a bribe.
They try to steal his truck, and locals begin to film it and argue with them. Interesting. I hope that they all get caught in a cauldron and get what they deserve. Scum.

I appreciate the link and as you say I hope they get what’s coming.

Now, would you really, really think that there is much (if anything at all) to endear Islam/Muslims to the dwindling Europeans?
I don’t see Iran’s name anywhere on the list so far.
Deadline was Tuesday past.
EDIT: Says correct date of winnahs is APRIL 12.
Seems all the western outlets are saying “APR 15, or later”. They don’t even proof read their garbage first b4 posting.

As of Sunday, 42 countries had joined or applied to join the AIIB as founding members. They must wait two weeks before a final decision is made on April 12, the Finance Ministry said.
@So if this not about nukes, what is it?
All the 6 reasons are valid, but we must take a deeper look into Jewish mentality. Gilad Atzmon makes some points:
“The Book of Esther is a biblical story that forms the basis for the celebration of Purim, probably the most joyously celebrated Jewish festival. The book tells of an attempted Judeocide, but also of Jews who manage to change their fate. In the Book of Esther, the Jews rescue themselves, and even get to mete out revenge….
As the story progresses, Ahasuerus’s prime minister, Haman, plots to have all the Jews in the Persian empire killed in revenge for a refusal by Esther’s cousin Mordechai to bow to him in respect…
Ahasuerus’s edict decreeing the murder of the Jews cannot be rescinded, so he issues another one allowing the Jews to take up arms and kill their enemies – which they do” (with much gusto, we may add)…
The moral of the story is clear. If Jews want to survive, they had better infiltrate the corridors of power. In light of The Book of Esther, Mordechai and Purim, AIPAC and the notion of ‘Jewish power’ appears to be an embodiment of a deep Biblical and cultural ideology….
The lack of clear corroboration for any of the book’s details with what is known of Persian history from classical sources has led scholars to conclude that the story is mostly or even totally fictional. In other words, the moral notwithstanding, the attempted genocide is fictional. Seemingly, the Book of Esther encourages its (Jewish) followers into collective Pre-TSS, making a fantasy of ‘destruction’ into an ‘ideology of survival’. Indeed, some read the story as an allegory of quintessentially assimilated Jews, who discover that they are targets of anti-Semitism, but who are also in a position to save themselves and their fellow Jews….
The Book of Esther shapes an exilic identity. It sews existential stress and is a prelude to the Holocaust religion, setting the conditions that turn the Holocaust into reality. Interestingly a very similar, threatening narrative is explored in the beginning of Exodus. Again, in order to set an atmosphere of a ‘Shoah to come’ and a liberation to follow, an existential fear is established…
Both in Exodus and The Book of Esther, the author of the text manages to predict the kind of accusations that would be leveled against Jews for centuries to come, such as power-seeking, tribalism and treachery. Shockingly, the text in Exodus evokes a prophesy of the Nazi Holocaust. It depicts a reality of ethnic cleansing, economic oppressive measures that eventually lead to slave labour camps (Pithom and Raamses). Yet, in both Exodus and the Book of Esther it is the Jews who eventually kill…
Interestingly, the Book of Esther (in the Hebrew version of the Bible; six chapters were added to the Greek translation) is one of only two books of the Bible that do not directly mention God (the other is Song of Songs). As in the Holocaust religion, in the Book of Esther it is the Jews who believe in themselves, in their own power, in their uniqueness, sophistication, ability to conspire, ability to take over kingdoms, ability to save themselves. The Book of Esther is all about empowerment. It conveys the essence and metaphysics of Jewish power…”
I can’t put it any better than Atzmon. Israel needs permanently an ogre who threatens its existence, but whom they defeat and humiliate every time. Persia is deeply wired in their psyche as the essential ogre through the Purim feast.
It also demonstrate the power of Jewry, which can impose to the whole world to utter all the phrases that they dictate to them: “In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was tacitly denied by their philosophy”. Big Brother is watching you.
A massive win for Iran and associates. The hegemony gets to allay its paranoid ‘fears’ through inspections (of what was not going to exist in any case) and the world opens up to Iran’s trade and geopolitical presence.
The key outcome is now Iran can join the SCO. This step alone will drive the emergence of a new international dynamic and complete the founding steps for the EurAsian century (climate change permitting) — a new stage that is hopefully returning to some sanity after the psychotic domination of US neocon warmongers. Obama and Kerry may get their small punctuation mark in history after all.
All we need now is a gas pipeline to India and Iran will have enough wind in its sales to re-establish itself in the global economy.
Onwards and upwards!
How long before BRICS ==> BRIICS?
Iran must be very careful.History has shown that when countries are “disarmed” by the west thru friendly overtures of wmd elimination and disarmament, they are quickly followed by military destruction and invasion. Libya found that out too late. Syria will find out soon. Perhaps Iran should sign a defence treaty with Russia and others to protect their country from western invasion. The US and west will befriend them and if the dont toe the line, then they will be destoryed. With the west, there are no friends, only slaves or enemies.
quote “Iran must be very careful.History has shown that when countries are “disarmed” by the west thru friendly overtures of wmd elimination and disarmament, they are quickly followed by military destruction and invasion.”
yes that is how the insignificant shopkeeprs english managed to get hold of India by first trading goods-which nobody wanted there-and then interfering in other affairs to take sides and then Disarming them first on one pretext or another and 10 years alter attacking the disarmed ally.
that was repeated again and again.
that English formula has been taught to the Americans cabal aswell-nothing western about it-it is angloamerican cabal which does this cowardly war through deceit.
Hi Saker ! good post….I’m reading the Epic of the Kings, by that tenth century Iranian poet Ferdausi, and I can really relate to what you say about terrain….if anyone wants a great read…try it out. Its translated by Reuben Levy….I guess a Jewish scholar, but its a great read anyway. Its the mythical Iranian Turanian thousand year war…
Lol Iran has several nuclear bombs, thats why they were happy to make a deal. After 30 years of work on it with international help ie from Nth Korea, Russia, China who have the bomb its obvious. It took Nth Korea only 7 yrs on its own to make one. Plus Iran had more $. Game over
It is generally thought that Dr. Abdul Qadeer Kahn from Pakistan gave the N.Koreans the technical help to build a device. He is the father of the Paki nuclear bomb program.
And before that Pakistan got help, including fissionable material from China/Mao. They wanted to counter India at the time.
Iran had more help than Nth Korea and has been working on it 30 yrs
Time for Iran to join the SCO as should Greece, Turkey, Lebanon and Syria.
Remember the RQ170 Stealth Drone capture by the iranian ?
The American military was suprised by Iranian capability of detecting the super stealthy drone and it subsequent hack and capture (by hijacking the drone controls and made it land safely) . The Iranian used IR detector telescopes in combination with long wave radar to target and locate the drone. This drone have been flying over iran for months with impunity , increasing the overconfidence of america and israeli on iranian lackluster air defense capability. But when the drone got captured, the shock of this capability caused US to reconsider attacking iran , because their manned stealth platforms (B2) will also got detected and shot down.
Since the risk of using airpower to neuter iran is high, the cabal of US-Israel-Saudi covertly form a joint funding / training and arming of guerilla group that will destined to be their proxy army to attack iran’s interest.. This is what now known as ISIS.
Events however unfolded differently , The US – Israel – Saudi – Turkey coalition got stuck in syria because of Assad’s resilience , helped by Russian.. Then the Yemen situation developed into another mess for the cabal , now escalated into a criminal saudi bombing without even a single protest by other nations except a few..
“Simple!”
In a complex laterally interactive world the use of the word simple is generally ill advised.
Perhaps the 6 hypotheses you pose under the “simple” are mostly reflective of the opponents hopes/wishes/intentions/perceptions and hence over-estimate the agency/potential of the opponents.
An opponent is often at her/his most vulnerable when he/she thinks that he/she has won or at least is exercising “control”.
All of the above offer others – not necessarily restricted to Iran – myriad opportunities of lateral challenge.
Interesting news item on the ‘State’ of the North American Union. “Military officials have turned down tanks and weapons that Congress has been supplying, saying they simply don’t need them.”
The military is begging for more money whilst complaining they are victims of the military industrial complex. Seems they are a little confused about who and what they are ‘defending’ –Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) stated in December: “The [Fiscal Year 2015 National Defense Authorization Act] recognizes the necessity of the Abrams tank to our national security, … This provision keeps the production lines open in Lima, Ohio, and ensures that our skilled, technical workers are protected.”
Seems he thinks the military are protecting American workers and industry in his State.

Can we call this a ‘MICS’ (Military Industrial Complex Syndrome)?
[Actuality the original version was “Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex” which accurately describes the system at work — http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military%E2%80%93industrial_complex ]
A broken clock is right twice a day (analog). This may be one or two of those times.
Instead of a defeat for the Empire, it is a victory for the type of rationalism that would most appeal to the preferences of the people of the United States. The public opposed the Iraq invasion, Lybia, Syria, and, with honest questions, Ukraine. The recognition is clear — Iran will end up bringing order to the Middle East and that it’s not a bad deal. In addition, this is a big loss for Israel. Netanyahu created a precedent – the weak and cowardly Members of Congress can criticize Israel and the president an be openly hostile. The sky didn’t fall.
This deal is a big loss for the insane faction of the power structure and a small but hopefully trending victory for the people here who have no desire to attack Iran.
Please let me express my fear :
The bombardment-invasion of Yemen has essentially set up a US leading-from-behind Israel-Saudi-Arab NATO … with el Sisi joining and rewarded with jet fighters an release of massive military aid by Obama.
Today Yemen is the Arab-Israeli Nato training ground?
Tomorrow to finish off the ‘Axis of Resistance’ nations?
Syria is losing a lot of ground since US-UK-Canada-Aus arrived to “fight IS”.
Lebanon being set up for civil war?
That leaves Iran standing alone against a very large coalition.
I hope my fears are unfounded, but don’t see the AngloZioNazi’s giving up.
The sabre rattling from Congress ZioNazi’s ever louder with the nuke deal on the table.
quote “Syria is losing a lot of ground since US-UK-Canada-Aus arrived to “fight IS”.2

Western Companies Hope for a Bonanza in Iran
Awaiting the Gold Rush
“Emerging market experts make breathless comparisons to Russia just after the Berlin Wall’s fall. “Iran,” said Charles Robertson, global chief economist at Renaissance Capital, ‘is the biggest opportunity of the next 10 years.”
It’s easy to see why it could be. New markets of nearly 80 million people are rare indeed. Rarer still are emerging markets with oil and gas, educated work-forces and lively stock-markets — all humming with pent-up potential from Iran’s thirty-five years as an economic pariah.”

so surely they have evidence of MH!7, Ukraine breaking Minsk, war crimes , NATO USA presence in Donbass etc??
One hopes……………
Good point, certainly looks like it.
Great comments and article here. Thanks guys/girls.I am sometimes ashamed at my own ineptitude by your ideas/info.Keep it up.I am learning everyday here.Yy small add-on would be Obammbam is sticking it to NettheYahoo after Congress meet.I also feel that once the EE started making errors, they only compound them each move, like the stop/hole/digging thing.
More articles are needed here about possible factional splits within the US elites, including what side the Rothchilds and Rockefellers are now on and whether Goldman Sachs is viable for much longer and whether that company has controlled the US government for the past while.
Also, more follow up is needed about the use of Soft Kill technologies, such as microwave guns (DEW), in this world war. People reading this may be living under a constant barrage of directed microwaves designed to slowly kill you and leave nobody accountable for that.
We know the Russians bathed the US Embassy with microwaves in the 70’s. We know the US has probably been giving cancer to Latin American and Canadian politicians. If the American people knew more about all this, there would be a big push to end this childish war.
Except the war may be about our social security. If the dollar collapses, do we lose our pensions?
Is it true that the IMF may have to replace the Fed and issue SDRs to replace dollars?
Seems evident that “fractional splits” are the basis of these events. And neo-cons//neo-Bolshevik zios are being discredited. Everywhere. By their own. When Charlie Rose interviews Syria’s President Assad — in a relatively balanced interview (although Rose is a sad parody of deep-state puppetry) — then you know the worm has turned. And Rose’s interview of Henri Bernard Levy a few days ago seemed off-kilter. Almost tongue-in-cheek. Exposing hypocrisies. Sending signals to Charlie’s zio-progressive minions that a paradigm shift is under way. Folks like Victoria Nuland should be increasingly wary as the poster-children for evil US policies. Tick-tock.
Forget SDRs (and change your name). CIA platforms like BIS, World Bank, IMF have no place in the coming de-dollarized world. :-)

the Russian foreign ministry must be dismantled-because they are the real evil moron who have still not managed to find who their real enemies are. Traitor but stupid lavrov is still dreaming of american retirement.
I really really really really do not believe you, or this.
Lavrov is pure class, will even make a future president
“So if this not about nukes, what is it?”
add #7: Iran has so far successfully resisted the establishment of an NWO central bank to loot the sovereign wealth, and take possession of energy resources.
I think that whatever deal or treaty they come up with, from the perspective of the west it will be like any other treaty: worth about as much as the paper it’s written on. What treaty have they made which hasn’t been violated? From what I’ve seen comes a really cynical opinion about what they say, informed by what they do. I’m sure the Iranians are aware of this.
I was always puzzled why Israel is so virulently anti-Iran. The bomb is NOT the reason – it is merely the excuse. Iran having “down with Israel” posters in Mosques isn’t the reason either.
What Israel really fears is a united Islam facing it – by Accident I read that Khomeini wanted Shia and Sunni to live in peace and harmony. The Anglo-Zionist mainstream news on the other hand is *constantly* promoting that Shia and Sunni are deadly enemies.
This, of course, is their fondest desire, one which the Anglo Zionists do their utmost to promote. Note that the “Shia-Sunni” got along fairly well in most of the 20th century until the Anglo-Zionist puppet Saddam Hussein was talked into attacking Iran, promised all sorts of Western help.
This is now being promoted as a “Shia-Sunni” war, which it really wasn’t.
Now, of course, the West is trying to push its attempts to topple Assad as “Shia vs Sunni”, again, it has nothing to do with that either. The same in Yemen – rather than a reaction by Houthi and Saleh partisans, the war in Yemen is advertised as “Sunni vs Shia”.
Its all about Israel tricking its neighbours into fighting amongst themselves, to present less of a threat. All part of Oded Yinon’s seminal works on how to keep Israel as an island of calm in a sea of chaos (created by Israel).
As for the “agreement” of the “5+1”, it would be suggested that Iran not let their guard down. This agreement is probably as solid as Minsk II ! What Iran *should* do is actively promote peace and understanding within Islam and point out that the real enemy to Islam, the real poison to honorable values, is coming from Israel, and Islam needs to face this enemy united.
Look at that map in a different way – Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen surround Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the Gulf states, and ISIS.
Yet again, another Iran vs USA-Israel analysis that completely omits any mention of the number one factor behind US-Zionist hysteria over Iran’s nuclear program.
Any uranium fuel refining program, no matter what concentration is aimed for, produces large quantities of Depleted Uranium as a by product. This ‘waste product’ can easily be made into very effective armor piercing munitions. Any mechanized army trying to fight an opponent with DU munitions, is absolutely going to suffer massive battlefield losses. The USA and Israel both rely on a battle strategy involving relatively low numbers of high tech armor units. They CANNOT sustain a war involving high casualties on their side.
Israel and the USA have *never* fought a war against a foe with DU weapons. The idea terrifies their military planners.
And that is why Israel continually has kittens about Iran’s nuclear program. Because Israel considers Iran part of ‘Eretz Israel’, and is incapable of accepting otherwise. But while Iran has DU weapons, Eretz Israel definitely isn’t going to happen. And the longer Iran’s nuclear program continues, the more DU weapons they will have.
Eretz Israel. What a laugh. The Israelis themselves don’t believe in it. That’s the only reason why they keep repeating this bullshit day in, day out. Hoping that the lie becomes – simsalabim – a geographical fact, if they repeat it long enough. What fools!
Interesting point about DU weapons.
Decent analysis.
It may not be an Obama/USA vs Netanyahu/Israel difference of opinion in strategy on war against Iran, but one instead of strategy differences in the ZPC/NWO between the more cautious vs the crazies (the usual doves vs hawks way of putting that is misleading and should be dropped). As Saker wrote the crazies want war now, the cautious want to wait a while. I suspect the Israelis will strike Iran to try and provoke Iran, as they periodically do against Syria. Any Iranian response would then be used to continue the ZPC/NWO “Iranian demonisation project”. Both the ZPC/NWO factions would welcome such an attack, as neither are interested in any serious climb down of tension against Iran and neither want peace in the region.
If the Israelis do stage one of their cowardly air strikes against Iran, and this gets intercepted and fails, that humilliation of Israel will present some very interesting possibilities…
Dear Saker

!. The Iranians stole their oilfields from the US and Britain
2. The Iranians wanted to accept other currencies for their oil
3 Obviously wicked people.
Yeah, and they’ve gone and built their country smack bang in the middle of our military bases!
Good analysis but there is a brewing contradiction in your lead sentences: “the AngloZionist Empire”, “the Anglos appear to be distinctly happier than the Zionists”. How many more instances of A opposing B will it take before you give up your “AB” concept?
I would call them Natoists.
Hopefully the Iranians are smart enough not to be deceived. The ultimate goal of the US is regime change in Tehran and the reduction of Iran to permanent third world vassal state status. So far this is just another version of the Agreed Framework between the US and North Korea. The US did not hold up its end of the bargain there and it will not here. There is absolutely no reason to believe that the US is interested in detente with Iran so long as the Islamic State remains.
The goal of the Islamic State is to create a prosperous, militarily powerful and technologically first rank Islamic country. This is anathema to the Anglozionists and their Gulf Petrosheikdom hangers on.
Just as with the DPRK and Cuba any deals signed by the empire are intended to create the conditions for a change in the vector of attack. The initial policy of sanctions and military pressure i.e laying siege on Iran, has clearly failed. So they need to switch to the Trojan Horse policy. Thats what this agreement provides
I’m not sure about Hassan Rouhani but the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei is clearly abreast of the west’s intentions. Iran does get some important concessions here, signs that the empire is indeed weakening, the most important being the lifting of the punitive UNSC resolutions. These anti-Iran resolutions were only passed because of the weakness of Russia and China. In the current geopolitical situation once these resolutions are lifted they can never be reimposed.
This means that once the empire reneges on its side of the deal it will be unable to impose meaningful sanctions against Iran. That is a major victory for Iran. Assuming of course that those UNSC resolutions are indeed rescinded and the empire will not find some pretext for keeping them.
Good analysis but it ignores the Bear in the room as well as the Dragon. The US concluded this deal very much with a view to thwarting Russia and China from becoming potential allies with Iran. It would be important to know what undisclosed conditions are placed in the agreement preventing Iran from making defensive pacts with other powers. Another factor is the free flow of Iranian oil on the world markets that wold keep the price down and thus continuing to harm the Russian economy.
Unlikely that Iran would agree to any condition limiting its ability to join SCO or BRICS. Iran’s future is in Eurasia and Iran is smart enough not to trust the U.S.
We are one!
Iran doesn’t need nuclear weapons. Two of its close allies are nuclear weapon states. Another potential ally, India, that has been purchasing Iranian oil, defying american sanctions is also nuclear states. All three states, russia, china and India that are trading with Iran are doing so in local currencies. Sanctions are effective so long as the trade is in dollars. No dollars means Uncle Sam stands emasculated. The nail on the dollar is already hammered in. Once the dollar zone is weakened, Americans most likelymay face hyper inflationary conditions. Libya and Iraq were regime changed to suppress challenges to the dollar.
But then no empire has survived fighting on multiple fronts. History has shown that. Can Americans alter history. In a nuclear weaponised world, that is a tough question. Sooner or later, the Euro-American cabal will have to back down from exceptionalism !
I think the real reason that America has cut deals with Iran and Cuba in the past few months is that it is merely a TACTICAL adjustment in targets.
That is, instead of exending resources to attack relative “small fry” like Iran and Cuba, America is retargetting is resources to attack its primary opponents: Russia and China.
Those who celebrate this deal as a “defeat” for the American Emipre should perhaps reconsider their triumphalism.
America has not changed its stripes one whit.
Only the targets change.
Given the recent agreement between the US and Iran, Tehran’s nuclear activity poses obviously no threat to global security, however, the West is reluctant to curb its anti-missile bases in Europe that allegedly targeted Iran.

Pentagon Chief: We Might Bomb Iran Even if Nuclear Deal Reached
“There is another angle to Washington’s interest in mending fences with Iran than just a dialogue on Iran’s nuclear program. That’s why yesterday Obama hailed as ‘historic’ only the nuclear agreement between us, and nothing else,” Reza Hojjat Shamami, a prominent Iranian political analyst and expert on Eurasian affairs, told Sputnik.”
I’m certain that with the agreements clinched by Iran and the world powers in Lausanne there is no reason whatsoever for America to deploy its missile defenses in Eastern Europe. If these deployments close to the Russian borders continue it will become perfectly clear that these systems were actually meant for use against Russia. In this case Washington would find it real hard to keep misleading the world about its real intentions,” Orhan Gafarli told Sput

Maybe. But fewer and fewer American’s are willing to sacrifice what’s left of their blood and treasure to back-stop evil zio hegemon. Deep-state may indeed be “re-focusing” efforts. But are losing “participants” daily. Nuland, Kagan, et al are not willing to send their own kids to be slaughtered for greater zog. That realization is dawning on deep-state. Hence the pivot.
Crimea will be the new Cuba.
…and like all silly US schemes since 9/11, this plan too, will fail miserably.
all those American bases look like small pox on the map of the middle east-the Anglos are the real pox on the world and they must be sorted out but who will do?
certainly Russia with her stupidity will not do it.
russia is thinking of supplying Iran s 300 if and when Un sanctions is lifted! the same Un sanctions which Russia had not vetoed and had said at the time that existing contract of s300 would not be affected!
so Russia is lying to her allies.
instead of smashing evil UN which is rubber stamp for anglos war-the Russians have given importance to dead UN just like it gave straighten to IMF after 2008 crisis rather than talking of free Bank as forced to do now.
Russia is mentally unable to hold power -despite all conditions favoring her.
she has change her attitude and mentality of betraying her allies to please her anglo enemis.

On the eve of his allegedly saw local journalists in the arrivals area of the Ben-Gurion International Airport. Iranian president: World powers accept Tehran’s right to enrich uranium
The Israeli PM has in the recent past tried to get the US Congress to impede a diplomatic solution offered by the P5+1 negotiations. Following his visit to Washington in March, 47 Republican senators signed a letter written by Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, which threatened to pull any nuclear deal reached with Iran after Obama leaves office.
The zionazi western media is already reporting that AIPAC’s quislings in the US congress of traitors is threatening action against the agreement.
More detail on the terms of the agreement:
Explained: 10 short answers to 5 key points on Iran nuclear deal
… If Iran keeps its end of the deal, the West will know Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful. For Tehran, it will be able to produce nuclear energy, while also be showing to the Iranian public that it has not caved in to the demands of the US and its allies.
The nuclear deal reached between Iran and the P5+1 group (China, France, Russia, UK and US) and Germany is a victory in diplomacy. However, it has the potential to destabilize the region, with Saudi Arabia and Israel both wary of any thawing of relations between Iran and the West. Riyadh has already stated it wants its own nuclear program, while Israel’s relations with Washington have hit their lowest point for years.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Tehran is planning to boost exports of agricultural produce to Russia using a new transit corridor though the Caspian region, Russia’s trade envoy to Iran told RIA Novosti on Friday.

So the masked unemployment plus a potential hyperinflation. An absolutely lethal cocktail ! Uncle Sam’s panic reaction to avert a collapse is invariably more war!

latest article re USA using colour revolution re Kyrgistan to pressurise Russia, plotting Uzbekistan against Russia, knock on effects, USA to get foothold in central Asia?
I’m greatly concerned that in the year 2016, a new U.S. president will enter office. A president who will capitulate to every whim the neocons want in order to fulfill their strategy for Middle Eastern hegemony, a major piece of the global domination puzzle.
Just like on December 7, 1941 and September 11, 2001, history will repeat itself. The American people will be led to believe either: the Iranians have reneged on their non-nuclear weapons commitments, the Russian Federation assassinated a prominent U.S. official by proxy (think back on Lee Harvey Oswald/Soviet Union connection) or attacked a NATO ally, or U.S. protectorate, etc. or some other contrived and wicked scheme to go to war.
These are the obvious reasons presented to the public. But underlying that will be the U.S. economy is falling into a depression since to date, 1 out of every 3 Americans (90 million plus) who are eligible to work cannot find employment to sustain themselves without government social programs. Washington will try and quiet the nation by printing more money which will inflate the cost of goods and services and make basic living nearly unaffordable. There will be political unrest and the government will respond with the heavy hand of a militarized police force to squash dissent.
The shadow government (bankers, corporations, foreign State lobbyists) will demand war to distract the people and it will start in the Middle East and spread to Eastern Europe. When that happens the Russians will have to respond with everything they’ve got in order to destroy the neocons completely or else be subjugated as a client State of the New World Order.
The Persian people and their leadership cannot trust the U.S. government and must prepare now as much as possible, while there is still time. The citizens of Russia have been through this before and already know the poisonous ingredients have been brewed for World War III.
Is there anything that can stop it? Don’t count on the American people; they are too easily distracted by their ‘little screens of superfluous drivel’. Perhaps a cadre of high ranking military with commonsense could initiate an overthrow of the neocons but I have little faith that will happen.
Old Habits Die Hard: US Reluctant to Scrap European Missile Defense System
The Iranian political analyst’s opinion was fully echoed by Orhan Gafarli, an expert on Eurasian security with Turkey’s Center for Strategic Analysis.
“I’m certain that with the agreements clinched by Iran and the world powers in Lausanne there is no reason whatsoever for America to deploy its missile defenses in Eastern Europe. If these deployments close to the Russian borders continue it will become perfectly clear that these systems were actually meant for use against Russia. In this case Washington would find it real hard to keep misleading the world about its real intentions,” Orhan Gafarli told Sputnik.
US Missile Defence: ‘Chances of curbing are zero’ – William Engdahl
The ZPC/NWO political quislings and the zionazis running the westerm media will simply invent propaganda to “justify” their forward positioning of ABM batteries, and the zio-indoctrinated, thoroughly dumbed down western public will continue to let these zionazis/fascists do it.
The chances of curbing the expansion of US missile bases in Europe are zero.
If you go back to the initiation of this by the Bush-Chaney Administration back in 2007 when they announced that the US would place “Ballistic Missile Defense infrastructure in Poland and the Czech Republic to defend against rogue states like Iran and North Korea” and in February of that year President Putin went and made an extraordinary address in the Munich International Security Conference, where he essentially said that NATO put its frontline forces on the Russian borders and it has no relation to modernization of NATO or security in Europe or anything to do with Iran – it has to do with targeting the nuclear installations of the Russian Federation. And we see more clearly than ever today that the CIA and the State Department have scored a coup d’état in Ukraine in Kiev last February to put a bunch of puppet-triggers as a quasi-government that is mandated to do nothing but create terror and killings that would try to provoke Russia into a military intervention so that NATO could then say “we are justified in missile defense, now we have to protect Europe against dangers from Russia”. It never was about Iran, it was about a nuclear first strike.

So it was only doing that in the preview. OK.
Many people are saying Russia betrayed Iran… The reality is Russia SAVED Iran.. Because without Russia Assad probably would fall… ASsad falling, automatically Hezbollah would fall.. Iran would be the next target…
This deal by President Obama is puzzling as – at least on the surface – it goes completely against the deep state. The only justification I can see is that the President wants to notch this Iranian deal as part of his “legacy”, similar to the deal with Cuba. From what I’ve read about the deal, there is no downside for Iran:
> sanctions are lifted (maybe not right away, but soon)
> they get to keep refining uranium
> they get to keep building nuclear facilities (with help from Russia)
Even if the US Congress kills the deal, that will be a win for Iran as it will show that you cannot negotiate any lasting deal with the US. Not that that is news, but it’s another nail the coffin particularly with the EU looking for energy and business with Iran.
Iranians are as patient as their long history, and in this confrontation with the west, they are playing the long game. They are soon joining the Russian/Chinese led SCO aka the ‘Eurasian NATO’, an organisation that will become a military alliance/umbrella sooner or later, effectively giving Iran protection. Meanwhile, the Anglo-Zio alliance will steadily become weaker economically in the next five years so any pending sanctions the west intends to keep over ‘the next 25 years’, will be overtaken by events and become moot. The Iranians are betting on the west’s ingrained selfishness, hubris and arrogance to get what they want i.e an opportunity to develop their great country independently. They did not invent chess because they were fools.
Good analysis. It is important to add to “the war in the Ukraine, the war in Yemen and the tensions around Iran” — the Asian Pivot. While not a hot war yet, this year has seen increasing tensions (thanks to the US) between various Asian countries and China. And, even if this does not develop into a hot war it is sucking a lot of resources of the US military, especially the Navy.
So Iranians, who aren’t sure the holocaust happened and tell us there isn’t a single gay person in their country “are very smart, not stupid?”
It’s those of us with concerns that the Iranian leadership who routinely leads their people in chants of “Death to America” and says it wants to destroy Israel that don’t get it. Only uber smart liberals like Obama and sworn enemies of the United States are “smart enough” to get it.
The author is clearly on of the “smart” ones.
Almost invariably the zionist/Judeao supremacist propaganda also encompasses a gay supremacist view as well. This fear of cooties seems a prevalent theme of the zionazis/nazis and their fellow travelers pretending to be on the left of such pseudo lifeforms.
When are The Saker t-shirts coming?
Thank you, Saker. Concised, clear article.
May peace prevail for all of us.
It’s about clearing the decks for a confrontation with China, the only country that can block US imperial hegemony. Russia, a country with the GDP of Texas, is a thorn for the US. But the US is getting seriously undermined in Asia and it is reaching the point of crisis. The world is awash in oil and the Middle East isn’t as important as it was. Also, most US plutocrats aren’t Jewish let alone Zionist.
“The increasingly tense military standoff in maritime Asia demands that the United States find a way, at least over time, to reduce its granular involvement in the conflicts of the Middle East.
There is no more efficient way to do this than to enter into a strategic understanding with Iran.” – Robert Kaplan,

Even the war criminals israelis will not attack Iran. In their north border Hezbollah are looking at them. And waiting.
I disagree with your ideia that one or two nuclear bombs would not deter Israel even the zionists having one or two hundreds of bombs. Look at the territorial size of Israel.
How is it possible that the deep state does not control the US Senate? Or is Israel the deep state? I’m confused.
