Wars are not won by psyops. Ask Nazi Germany. Still, it’s been a howler to watch NATOstan media on Kharkov, gloating in unison about “the hammer blow that knocks out Putin”, “the Russians are in trouble”, and assorted inanities.
Facts: Russian forces withdrew from the territory of Kharkov to the left bank of the Oskol river, where they are now entrenched. A Kharkov-Donetsk-Luhansk line seems to be stable. Krasny Liman is threatened, besieged by superior Ukrainian forces, but not lethally.
No one – not even Maria Zakharova, the contemporary female equivalent of Hermes, the messenger of the Gods – knows what the Russian General Staff (RGS) plans, in this case and all others. If they say they do, they are lying.
As it stands, what may be inferred with a reasonable degree of certainty is that a line – Svyatogorsk-Krasny Liman-Yampol-Belogorovka – can hold out long enough with their current garrisons until fresh Russian forces are able to swoop in and force the Ukrainians back beyond the Seversky Donets line.
All hell broke loose – virtually – on why Kharkov happened. The people’s republics and Russia never had enough men to defend a 1,000 km-long frontline. NATO’s entire intel capabilities noticed – and profited from it.
There were no Russian Armed Forces in those settlements: only Rosgvardia, and these are not trained to fight military forces. Kiev attacked with an advantage of around 5 to 1. The allied forces retreated to avoid encirclement. There are no Russian troop losses because there were no Russian troops in the region.
Arguably this may have been a one-off. The NATO-run Kiev forces simply can’t do a replay anywhere in Donbass, or in Kherson, or in Mariupol. These are all protected by strong, regular Russian Army units.
It’s practically a given that if the Ukrainians remain around Kharkov and Izyum they will be pulverized by massive Russian artillery. Military analyst Konstantin Sivkov maintains that, “most combat-ready formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are now being grounded (…) we managed to lure them into the open and are now systematically destroying them.”
The NATO-run Ukrainian forces, crammed with NATO mercenaries, had spent 6 months hoarding equipment and reserving trained assets exactly for this Kharkov moment – while dispatching disposables into a massive meat grinder. It will be very hard to sustain an assembly line of substantial prime assets to pull off something similar again.
The next days will show whether Kharkov and Izyum are connected to a much larger NATO push. The mood in NATO-controlled EU is approaching Desperation Row. There’s a strong possibility this counter-offensive signifies NATO entering the war for good, while displaying quite tenuous plausible deniability: their veil of – fake – secrecy cannot disguise the presence of “advisers” and mercenaries all across the spectrum.
Decommunization as de-energization
The Special Military Operation (SMO), conceptually, is not about conquering territory per se: it is, or it was, so far, about protection of Russophone citizens in occupied territories, thus demilitarization cum denazification.
That concept may be about to be tweaked. And that’s where the tortuous, tricky debate on Russia mobilization fits in. Yet even a partial mobilization may not be necessary: what’s needed are reserves to properly allow allied forces to cover rear/defensive lines. Hardcore fighters of the Kadyrov contingent kind would continue to play offense.
It’s undeniable that Russian troops lost a strategically important node in Izyum. Without it, the complete liberation of Donbass becomes significantly harder.
Yet for the collective West, whose carcass slouches inside a vast simulacra bubble, it’s the pysops that matters much more than a minor military advance: thus all that gloating on Ukraine being able to drive the Russians out of the whole of Kharkov in only four days – while they had 6 months to liberate Donbass, and didn’t.
So, across the West, the reigning perception – frantically fomented by psyops experts – is that the Russian military were hit by that “hammer blow” and will hardly recover.
Kharkov was preciously timed – as General Winter is around the corner; the Ukraine issue was already suffering from public opinion fatigue; and the propaganda machine needed a boost to turbo-lubricate the multi-billion dollar weaponizing rat line.
Yet Kharkov may have forced Moscow’s hand to increase the pain dial. That came via a few well-placed Mr. Khinzals leaving the Black Sea and the Caspian to present their business cards to the largest thermal power plants in northeast and central Ukraine (most of the energy infrastructure is in the southeast).
Half of Ukraine suddenly lost power and water. Trains came to a halt. If Moscow decides to take out all major Ukraine substations at once, all it takes is a few missiles to totally smash the Ukrainian energy grid – adding a new meaning to “decommunization”: de-energization.
According to an expert analysis, “if transformers of 110-330 kV are damaged, then it will almost never be possible to put it into operation (…) And if this happens at least at 5 substations at the same time, then everything is kaput. Stone age forever.”
Russian government official Marat Bashirov was way more colorful: “Ukraine is being plunged into the 19th century. If there is no energy system, there will be no Ukrainian army. The matter of fact is that General Volt came to the war, followed by General Moroz (“frost”).
And that’s how we might be finally entering “real war” territory – as in Putin’s notorious quip that “we haven’t even started anything yet.”
A definitive response will come from the RSG in the next few days.
Once again, a fiery debate rages on what Russia will do next (the RGS, after all, is inscrutable, except for Yoda Patrushev).
The RGS may opt for a serious strategic strike of the decapitating kind elsewhere – as in changing the subject for the worse (for NATO).
It may opt for sending more troops to protect the front line (without partial mobilization).
And most of all it may enlarge the SMO mandate – going to total destruction of Ukrainian transport/energy infrastructure, from gas fields to thermal power plants, substations, and shutting down nuclear power plants.
Well, it could always be a mix of all of the above: a Russian version of Shock and Awe – generating an unprecedented socio-economic catastrophe. That has already been telegraphed by Moscow: we can revert you to the Stone Age at any time and in a matter of hours (italics mine). Your cities will greet General Winter with zero heating, freezing water, power outages and no connectivity.
A counter-terrorist operation
All eyes are on whether “centers of decision” – as in Kiev – may soon get a Khinzal visit. This would signify Moscow has had enough. The siloviki certainly did. But we’re not there – yet. Because for an eminently diplomatic Putin the real game revolves around those gas supplies to the EU, that puny plaything of American foreign policy.
Putin is certainly aware that the internal front is under some pressure. He refuses even partial mobilization. A perfect indicator of what may happen in winter is the referenda in liberated territories. The limit date is November 4 – the Day of National Unity, a commemoration introduced in 2004 to replace the celebration of the October revolution (it already existed in imperial times).
With the accession of these territories to Russia, any Ukrainian counter-offensive would qualify as an act of war against regions incorporated into the Russian Federation. Everyone knows what that means.
It may now be painfully obvious that when the collective West is waging war – hybrid and kinetic, with everything from massive intel to satellite data and hordes of mercenaries – against you, and you insist on conducting a hazily-defined Special Military Operation (SMO), you may be up for some nasty surprises.
So the SMO status may be about to change: it’s bound to become a counter-terrorist operation.
This is an existential war. A do or die affair. The American geopolitical /geoeconomic goal, to put it bluntly, is to destroy Russian unity, impose regime change and plunder all those immense natural resources. Ukrainians are nothing but cannon fodder: in a sort of twisted History remake, the modern equivalents of the pyramid of skulls Timur cemented into 120 towers when he razed Baghdad in 1401.
If may take a “hammer blow” for the RSG to wake up. Sooner rather than later, gloves – velvet and otherwise – will be off. Exit SMO. Enter War.
It happens that no one I know in a 5 mile radius is damn aware of anything real ly going on in the Ukraine. And in neighbor Ruskyland.
And worst, we ourselves get tired and exasperated of guessing what the heck the RSG is up to.
I did nt read the Craig robergs article …yet. Need a few days rest before I do.
Muita gente criticando o comando russo,

Many people criticizing the Russian command,
I just read Paul Craig Roberts.
These people forget that the Russian victory cry starts with – I’ll try to write it… :
hurra …

HURRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Things start out humble, little by little and slowly, but when they end, it’s a hecatomb!
Half of the Ukraine lost power, only half…..Zman visits the front, no special welcome for him, like what awaited the Wagner’s boss when he visits the front.
No matter how it’s spun, nor the unreported scores of dead Ukrainians, major media coups, which don’t win wars but do help convince donors….licking their chops at the loot on the Russian side of the border….regardless if Russia prevails, not really in doubt, but the money and weapons and personnel will pour in and Death will march on.
Lights still on in Western Ukraine, like UK US, not much to fear, got lots of bodies to grind through……..
Queen: Bojo darling, promise me one thing before I go.
Bojo: Yes mumsy?
Queen: You will see the ancestral home on the Black Sea is returned to the Realm.
Bojo: Yes mumsy, my pleasure.
Not sure anyone let alone FUKUS will pay attention, while the lights are still on in Western Ukraine.
Cheers M
It’s only a matter of time before a rocket falls on Moscow…..Ukie already asking for Ballistics.
Those lights should be out permanently and hit until they are,and would love the leadership and the SBU/Gestapo hit in Kiev on the end of a Kalibr and a accidental kalibr through the front door of the US Embassy in Kiev would be a delight,Russia could always say it was a mistake like the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade when those Nazo gangsters bombed it.
Thank you Pepe for this welcome dose of sanity. Psyops are meaningless in the grand scheme of things, they might make the Natostani fantasists feel better but achieve nothing where it matters.
The Russians are playing a deep game, deeper than even us pro-Russian, pro-Putin commenters thought. We might be at the moment when the war turns real, i.e. Natostan openly interferes. Novosti is reporting the arrival in Poland of two assault ships with US marines aboard.
One thing that puzzles me is why Russia doesn’t blow up all the main Ukro cross-border railways and roads to cut the flow of Natostan weaponry. The only answer I can come up with is that they want the weapons to flow in and be destroyed. But I suspect a deeper purpose: once all the old stuff is used up, will Natostan risk sending its most modern equipment? This is already happening in some cases. Therefore the Russians want this to happen, so they can study the weapons, learn their secrets and how to decisively counter them. Yes, the Russian equipment is much superior but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to be learned.
Russia and China must prevail, for the health and sanity of the planet, and perhaps even its very existence.
Novosti is a liberty port visit. Show the flag, give the sailors some whoopee time ashore, etc. Yeah, a handful of Marines and sailors will end up in mufti in Ukraine but nothing worth writing home about.
As another fan of Pepe’s , I also enjoy all of the comments of the rest of you while you discuss “what has happened”, “what is happening”, and “what is going to happen”.
If only we could read God’s mind and know what His plans are for all of humanity from now through “eternity”.
Oh, wait we can. He wrote it all down in a book, through His surrogates, and gave us great detail to help us understand.
For example in the last part of the book, called ‘Revelation’, He told us in chapter 9 verses 13-18 that the next ‘watershed’ thing coming up in His ordered plan is the ‘sixth trumpet war’ which will kill one/third of all of mankind with “fire, and smoke, and brimstone”. If you would like I can provide you with evidence of the occurrence’s of the first through fifth trumpet’s watershed moments, including the descriptive details significant to each specific one given to us in His incredible book (starting with WW1).
I believe His surrogate, John, who received this prophecy 2,ooo years ago, did his best to describe what we would call ‘thermo-nuclear war’.
Therefore the question arises. Will Russia and the ‘west’ do what we think would be logical for each one of them to do. Or, will they do what God ordains them to do to bring about what He told us 2,000 years ago ‘He’ would bring about that does not have to follow man’s logic ?
Ever ask yourself why ‘we’ find comfort in understanding man’s logic ?

In case anyone is interested, Dmitry Medeved just recently (two days ago) threatened the U.S. with the sixth trumpet war from the bible and quoted scripture regarding it from the book of Revelation (Revelation 9:18),(read 9:13-18 to get the full sixth trumpet war story). In addition he said our land will be on fire, and cement will melt ! This is the war prophesied in the bible that will kill 1/3 of all mankind ! It’s the same one that I’ve been posting about off and on for the past several months on this blog. In fact I posted about it late last night but it failed to make the cut. Probably because it was considered ‘off topic’. The gist of the commentaries seemed to be trying to guess what would be the next logical or strategic move by the involved countries. Once God takes His great power to Himself and moves, all of man’s logic is less than worthless. Is suggesting cutting to the chase and getting to the real source of truth and understanding ‘off topic’?
The story of the quote by Dmitry was covered by both Russia Today (RT) and Michael Snyder’s “End of the American Dream” blog.

Your last sentence is achingly true.
Insightful analysis. Heavy hand of US/NATO direct involvement in UAF push on Donbas will accelerate transition to more aggressive postures.
Western economies in rapid meltdown & internal dissent mushrooming perhaps into direct hostilities.
Desperation driving the dynamic, a frightening prospect.
Pepe Escobar writes insightfully, yet offers enough humor to make his pronouncements palatable, like putting a little sugar in bitter tea. I shared a Pepe post with an old friend who said, “But this isn’t journalism!”
I had to remind him that I had told him Sr Escobar was unconventional, but easily the most popular journalist in the non-West, so please read him again by turning off your blinders. No, Pepe Escobar writes like no other and we should be very fortunate to have him.
I love Pepe’s writing!
Please tell me more about him being “easily the most popular journalist in the non-West.” I am intrigued to hear that, and would love to hear more. Are Pepe’s writings carried in major outlets, and in what countries? I guess I live in kind of a USA bubble. Though I do not consume any MSM, and I subscribe to some Russian Telegram channels, I do not keep up with all parts of the world as well as I know many here at The Saker do.
Just click “Pepe Escobar” into Telegram and you can read the interesting stuff he puts there every day.
I agree with what you have expressed. If anyone believes they know what’s next they surely no nothing. I like Pepe’s analysis.
I have learned more about what is going on in Zone B by following Pepe E’s telegram channel in 6 months than I have learned in 3 decades from the mainstream media. His writing is unlike most western mainstream journalists but their offerings are scripts, designed to manipulate and compell, not to enlighten and inform.
The best journalism I have come across in recent years is by Camille Bianchi in the form of a podcast series “The Nurse” , where she ran a story about a pedophile nurse in the Tasmanian hospital system that caused a Commission of Inquiry into abuse of children in public institutions. I offer this insight as the use of source material is what elevates this effort well above the usual and imho is a very accessable method of delivery for covering large amounts of material about a subject for ana audience that does not read well.
“their offerings are scripts, designed to manipulate and compel, not clarify and inform.”
I’m sorry, you’re not being sensible. In geopolitics, Pepe Escobar’s text and argument is completely enlightening. His writing is witty, thought-provoking and ALWAYS revealing. We’re not talking about the same person. Sometimes Pepe’s text is prophetic and his predictions are accurate.
The debate is over, Russia needs to decide the scope and direction of this conflict. Like the German Generalstab, whose nose was bloodied outside of Moscow in 1942, understood that it was vital for Germany to win the war that year or be dragged under by the industrial weight of the coalition which was ranged against her. The same ones (UK, France, USA) who put Hitler into power are now in a coalition behind Zelensky. To win the war Russia needs to smash the supply lines and the Nazi led Ukrainian Army once and for all. It is obvious that Zelensky and his Western advisors do not remember the warning of Fredrick the Great who said, “he who defends everything defends nothing” or maybe as it applies to Ukraine one who attacks everything attracts nothing. Being overextended, overconfident, conditioned to blind obedience, and underestimating the Russian soldier and Russian people Zelensky the puppet is set up for defeat.
The German boss class put Hitler into office; he and his cronies turned the tables and took power as well.
Brits needed Germany for trade. The French wanted Punishment–reparations, and demilitarization. PM Lloyd George spoke punishment at home (Brits lost their best in the war), appeasement on the continent. The Brits ignored the Treaty of Versailles and France went along as they felt they could not challenge Germany alone. Brit upper class liked the Nazis because that is what they were just ask the people in Africa, Asia, and Europe. Brit upper Class bedecked with unearned medals did not like USSR so they armed Hitler with tanks and guns hopping that the Germans would use them against Russia but they met the tanks at Dunkirk. Russia was excluded from the League and not recognized and not invited to the Munich Conference. The most telling point and we can compare that to today with the Minsk agreement was Litvinov’s tireless attempts to get Britain and France into a coalition against Nazism. They refused just as they refused to enforce the Minsk I and Minsk II and armed the Nazis and ignored 14,000 dead in the Donbas. .
Enough is enough, psyops or not. The bottom line is Russian needs to pound them to oblivion, until then, Ukraine will not have the incentive to overthrow Zelensky or come to the negotiating table. Although Yugoslavia civil war is not a good example, the JNA did many of the same mistake by using a soft glove approach which cost them dearly.
Yugoslavia was hundreds of times weaker militarily and economically than attacking predators. There was no chance to escape, let alone win in any scenario. Both those who wanted to kneel, and those who were willing to go to Heavenly kingdom standing, knew that perfectly. There were many forced moves, but calling stumbling of victim of gang rape “mistakes” is …… take your pick.
Your mistaken, early in the war George Bush Senior was in favor of the territorial integrity of Yugoslavia. If the JNA put it’s full might in Slovenia instead of sending inexperienced conscripts, the scenario would have changed. Germany and so called Western Europe pounced on the weakness of the JNA.
I am mistaken in which part? Yugoslavia was not gang raped? Because Bush Sr.told you so?
Yugoslavia was “gang raped” because it showed weakness and appeasement and the JNA imploded from the inside. You best change your tone the next time you address me
I just told you where you are mistaken, early in the war Yugoslavia had international support and did not take advantage . Ante Markovich signed a new economic deal with the US and Europe and the Economy stabilized . It is best you do not discuss Yugoslavia as you obviously have zero knowledge about the conflict . If you read my comment , I clearly point out it is not a good comparison to the current Russian Ukrainian war but there are lessons to be learned .
If you didn’t pay attention time for discussion is way over. Your “knowledge” and motivation is of the same nature of those young lions on Maidan square who surely meant the best for their country. Look where belief in western blatant lies took them.
No-one sane want to listen, this 30+ years old lullaby you still dream on. One thing you are right 100%. It is best not to discuss anything.
As I said, time for discussion is over. Good buy.
Maidan square was set up by the help of OTPOR, a Serbian student group which was responsible for the overthrow of Slobodan Milosevic in Yugoslavia. The Yugoslav government had signed an economic stabilization agreement as mentioned, it all fell apart due to the weakness of the Yugoslav government and later army which fell apart because of the pullout from Slovenia. It gave the green light for the other Republics of Croatia and Bosnia to declare independence initially with US and German support.
The lullaby is a similar script written throughout history.
The propaganda against Yugoslavia has a long history An article “The Right to Prosecute” in the Globe and Mail many years smacks at racism and was full of lies no different than what they say today against Ukraine . It is an excellent example of how words are used to portray bias. They attack Putin just as they are portraying Milosevic as a “pug-faced brute”, “truculent”, “devious”, and “stubborn” while you portray judge May as a “courtly Briton”, “with a cultured voice” is racist by innuendo. Portraying Mr. Milosevic as evil and everyone else who is equally to blame as good is on Media’s part dishonest and errant nonsense.
Equally strong case can be made that the Hague tribunal is a kangaroo court and judge May was a lackey or Uncle Tom of NATO. This court is not independent. It is a NATO invention, it rewards those who co-operate with it, millions in loans for Mr. Djindjic the quisling in Belgrade and a Supreme Court judgeship for Louise Arbour and a UN appointment followed. Bombing passenger trains, television stations, schools and hospitals, the war crimes that journalists in the West called collateral damage will not see justice.
The West initiated the break-up of Yugoslavia. NATO needed a reason to exist after the fall of USSR. NATO is a huge bureaucracy, a corporation worth billions of dollars. Its demise would have spelled economic disaster for several European nations as well as for many corporations in the United States. Creating chaos in Yugoslavia was NATO’s reason to exist. Now they need to justify their complicity in the break-up of Yugoslavia and their proxy war in Ukraine.
They need to justify breaking international law in their attack on sovereign nations. Milosevic’s trial did that. It is a forgone conclusion we now know justice was not done as the wrong people sat in the docket. Every participant, Officer, soldier pilot president, Prime Minister whose planes flew from Aviano should have been in that docket? The tragedy here is that drones like many journalists who follow the editorial line, will do their best to whitewash justice.
You are absolutely correct and Milosevic was going to take down all the so called western leaders with him as he was no angel during the conflict. He signed the best deals he could given the circumstances. Unfortunately the Bosnian Serbs and Serbs in Croatia did not heed his advise with devastating results. The largest ethnic cleansing campaign of Serbs in Croatia during Operation Storm and Lighting in Croatia backed by US and Europe assets. When Milosevich was slamming them in the Hague Tribunal they resorted to poisoning and murdering him denying his right to see Russian doctors. A tragedy to say the least , the same script they are trying to copy in Ukraine. The lower level Generals within the UN and NATO new exactly what was happening on the ground but their voices were drowned out by the Media and the governments in power.
Most of the Generals were not Serbs. The Slovenian Generals in the JNA wanted what you advocate. Milosevich was not president at that time. As a politician he oposed the Sloverne hard line. Slovenes wanted a full attack to retake the borders in Slovenia.
General Adzic was Serb, General Kadijevic was half Serb , half Slovenian and was granted asylum to Moscow . Adzic wanted a more hard line approach against Slovenia. Kadijevic wrote a book in the subject , I suggest many of you read it.
Konstatin,
Yes, it is so frustrating!!!
The West seems impervious to feedback from the real world… so, maybe a PLA “volunteer corps” of 100,000 men needs to show up in Ukraine, to get the United States to back off on Taiwan and finish this thing? As Europe seems about to play the anti-China card:
“No More Naivety”: Germany Working On New Trade Policy Reducing Dependence On Chinese Raw Materials
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/no-more-naivety-germany-working-new-trade-policy-reducing-dependence-chinese-raw-materials
maybe, 100,000 PLA “volunteers” / mercenaries is just what is needed to come out of the Putin-Xi Samarkand summit meeting? China and Russia need to begin playing the same game, “China isn’t a combatant in this war; those troops are just “volunteers” who supplied their own weapons with their own funds.” (lol)
A view of the Balkans
AS A BRITISH SOLDIER WHO HAS SERVED widely in Bosnia for seven months now, I feel I must take issue with the nature of the reporting from this region [May 17]. In the case of the Muslim town of Sre¬brenica, your articles have been scath¬ing in denouncing the Bosnian Serbs and their shelling of the town. However, you have failed to address the question of where the Serbian population of Sre¬brenica was. The Serbs made up 30% of its prewar population. Early on in the conflict, they were forced out of their homes with whatever belongings they could carry and ordered to leave. As the Bosnian Serbs fled, Muslims fired wildly on men, women and children on the road. This story was told to British sol¬diers in Srebrenica by Muslims them¬selves and later by Bosnian Serbs. Earli¬er this year, Bosnian Muslims launched their offensive in eastern Bosnia, bomb¬ing Bosnian Serb villages, raping wom¬en and destroying livestock.
1 realize that this makes me sound like an apologist for the Bosnian Serbs. I know that what they are doing is terrible. But the press has a moral duty to report objectively. The media are creating a “Let’s do something’, let’s bomb the Serbs; let’s arm the Muslims” rhetoric that is very dangerous. We in Europe un¬derstand the Balkan chicanery and cun¬ning far better than Americans do. We do not want to see ourselves further em-broiled in a morass when there is no one side that is uniquely culpable. A British soldier sees the bodies of three Croat children who have had their throats cut by Muslim soldiers. Does he want to see those Muslims with bigger and better weapons? Please be more objective.

Good post, General Lewis Mackenzie , the first General posted in Sarajevo faxed the same issues . Both Sir Michael Rose of England and General Morillion of France faced scathing rebukes from the media for telling the truth about the markdale massacres and others in Sarajevo:
……….”thus all that gloating on Ukraine being able to drive the Russians out of the whole of Kharkov in only four days – while they had 6 months to liberate Donbass, and didn’t.”
Well, it is as simple as that. Simple, plain logic. I tried to explain it to a friend. I was talking to him for nearly half an hour. No chance. That is the world we live in : A post-modern delirium with witches, dragons and a hobbit. It is not only psyops. There is much more to the stupidity of the masses than just ignorance.

Your is one of the best comments on topic. The flat minds syndrome of today’s world is the result of the black & white superficial media productions that have a rhythm that does not leave time even for simple thoughts. The not-thinking conquering the world, while the zombified not-thinkers are being trained to bark at those who resist this drift. I was talking on this in another blog many years ago. Let’s hope we can spread this awareness (that in a world with too-much-input everything gets lost).
It may be in Russia’s interest to show some weakness at this time. The EU political elite has to sell its people on the idea that Russia is an imminent threat to Europe, so the people will accept austerity to support Ukraine. If Russia shows weakness, that becomes harder to sell, especially when General Winter turns austerity into real misery.
To the contrary, civil unrest is rising rapidly across Europe where citizens are questioning austerity to support Ukraine, freeloading Ukrainian refugees driving BMWs and Range Rovers, Ukrainian thugs committing crime, and government handouts to them.
If anything it is time to turn up the pain. Pepe’s point referendums and war is excellent. People think this is a war? As Putin said, “you haven’t seen anything yet”.
Pretty soon, the repression of protest will begin in Europe, and it is likely to be very severe. Anna Baerbock’s comments made that quite clear.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/Dr2NBCuQnAJ2/
It has started already.
Pundit Pepe recommends: “….taking out the substations…..back to the stone age…..” “…..Russian version of shock and awe…..”
This Pepe article is just a rehash of the meanderings of humble inebriated nsa here for the last 5 months…..attracting much derision, hostility, moderation from the site and the commentariat. Should all of you now consider apologizing? No need. Humble nsa is married so used to hostility and wishful thinking.
The bigger picture is obvious to anyone with an IQ above room temp. Serious resource / energy conflicts are now de rigueur. Again, the Russian Federation spans 11 time zones and sits atop 1/4 to 1/3 of a very over populated planet’s resources….real stuff…..soil, trees, 11/24 of the arctic, water, gold, oil, gas, cobalt, iron, grain, potash…….not fake western fake crap wealth like reverse mortgages, payday loans, silly iphone apps, scam bonds, etf swindles, etc etc. The Russians have it…….the western globohomoshlomos want it……it’s that simple. The Russians have a well deserved reputation for caution but they must have learned something from the experience of the early 1990s. It is now nut-cutter time….escalate or capitulate. Would anyone here including the owner of the site care to recommend am actual course of action for the Russian Federation in this conflict with the nato nazi globohomoshlomos?
I want credit for being one of your defenders. That doesn’t mean I agree Putin should adopt NATO shock and awe tactics. The answer to your question flows directly from “Do not interrupt your enemy when he is in the process of making a mistake.” Russia has already publicly said in no uncertain terms the UAF is bound for destruction because it is once again on the move. Ukraine’s overlords have taken over military planning and demand blitzkrieg attacks no matter the cost. They think they have timed it to gain an advantage before winter sets in just like the last three Western geniuses who thought they could subjugate Russia. So, no, I don’t need to give them advice. They are doing just fine, thanks.
As the first heavy snow of autumn arrives, Ukraine is cut in half. As a hundred thousand tired soldiers wonder what to do, Kiev is ordered to evacuate. The border becomes very short.
I posted earlier at Larry’s blog at Sonar21 a similar thing.
1) RUS is aware that the frontline is too long for the troops committed. some or all parts are vulnerable to an overwhelming push. no point defending such areas, esp if they are low value (difficult terrain) and/or not much natural resources. Moving West will decrease such value as there will be more pro-UKR residents. The idea to withdraw from such areas is a given.
[even the Western press doesnt publish the number of RUS killed openly]
2) RUS saw three attacks: Kson, Zap Nuclear PPlant and Kkov. I think the first two were of higher value- launchpad to Odessa, radiation threat, access to Black Sea- thus resources were channeled to defend them rather than Kkov.
3) Losing Izyum was not part of the plan as it is an important node, but soldier’s lives are more important.
4) UKR is now holding difficult terrain in Kkov. Most pro-RUS residents are hopefully, evacuated within the past 6 months. This frees RUS hands a bit to blitz the UKR army.
5) no doubt that NATO + Combined West is supporting the UKR army in everything short of officially sending NATO troops on the ground. combined with Lend-Lease from US, this situation could last for awhile in UKR.
6) Can RUS’ economy withstand sustained sanctions and this war of attrition? Prior to SMO, the RUS economy also depended on demand from EU… that RUS is actively courting the BRICS can be read that RUS also needs the external markets: RUS can be an autarky, but that would take too long.
thus the fight on the diplomatic and economy fronts is of equal importance, if not more important… war is a tool to objectives… if your opponent doesnt agree to the same rules, you cannot ‘win’ anything because there is nothing to win- let alone a war.
7) RUS should not decimate UKR- this would sow too much seeds of hatred in the neighboring country. further, these desperate people and will become a breeding ground for further Western nonsense. therefore, if this is done, RUS will not have peace for decades and centuries to come.
RUS must be patient and not overdo the killing- this will maintain not only the legitimacy of the SMO, but also the morality of it (i think it is easier to falsely legitimize something than falsely moralize something). it is also incredibly hard to de-escalate violence once the frenzy is whipped up.
yes, this comes at the expense of RUS’ own soldiers… however, and to hammer home the point- the blood of dead RUS soldiers must not be used as fertilizers for hatred against RUS: that would be dying in vain.
at the end of the day, RUS-UKR and EU are all on the same continent- neighbors forever, like it or not. all must learn to co-exist… it is really possible, you know.
8) a counter-terrorism situation is better than decimating the country entirely. at least the UKR population has a chance to ‘see’ the truth and choose for themselves- perhaps not via voting, but at least with their feet.
9) i hope RUS and Russians do not lose their kindness, even for the enemy. For it is the merciful who are truly brave.
Your argument or point number #7 does not hold water, the problem is Russian troops withdrawing is letting down the civilian population which now will be under the throats of the SBU. This happened in and around Kiev early in the war. Russia cannot afford to alienate the Ukraine population by running just hit and run missions.
Hi Konstantin,
thanks for sharing your thoughts.
it is unfortunate- really unfortunate… but this is the reality of war and conflict.
I just hope most have evacuated. it is dangerous to remain a resident in the borders of a war.
RUS also cannot afford to sacrifice their troops in the face of unwinnable odds- a 5:1 ratio.
if anything, the evacuation of citizens must be hastened.
It’s a catch 22 , but Russia has to win the population over as well. This is a special operation but part of that mandate is freeing the Donbas and losing Izyum and strongholds in Kharkiv have weakened those goals.
Hi Konstantin,
Yes, losing Izyum and strongholds in Kkiv certainly weaken freeing the Donbass geographically.
However, it might worth tying up UKR troops for a beating.
In any case, Donbass will be there geographically no matter what.
Its its people that counts (sounds like Odin from Asgard LOL).
In this case, like chess- RUS simply moved away from a square.
“…Therefore, if this is done, RUS will not have peace for decades and centuries to come.”
You are wrong here. There was NO PEACE on the western border of Russian state /whichever it was/ since the Mongols were dfefeated.
And before it was only because the Lithuanians & Co feared the Mongols more.
The only periods of “relative” peace /for Russia/ were when the “peace” was imposed by the Russian army. That is were “Ukraine” got its name after all. It was “The Borderlands” which was still under Russian rule but was, generally, not considered friendly.
One can argue why this was for ages. But it was such and is such till today.
No amount of “display of kindness” will change this. If you want any indication, just look at the history of Ukraine as a state. Every time Russia supported Ukraine, all it got in return were spits in face. This is all very sad – though more so for the peoples of these lands than for Russia. This state of affairs effectively locks them into an eternal “battlefield” role, preventing any real development there.
Hi User,
I think the display of kindness is working-
a) the fighters know what they are fighting for: they rest, replenish and return to the frontlines with the support of their families. the warrior spirit is nourished by kindness- and so is the Russian zeitgeist.
b) the UKRs are fleeing to RUS
c) only a real and kind RUS spirit can nourish the lands surrounding- not hatred. when we strike, only the fist is hardened, not our souls. otherwise, we turn into the very thing we try to defeat << like how UKRs used to have friendly competition with RUS, but they turn into monsters when it becomes excessive…
im no RUS, but i think its called Motherland for a reason… our mothers discipline us not to kill us. There is no reason to change our intentions.
d) peace is a relative term- there is no absolute peace. the situation is likely to become worse had RUS struck very hard at the beginning. it is easy to escalate war/violence, but defusing it takes a long time.
e) i believe the RUS have a belief that if they can make peace with the Chechens, who were at war with RUS in the 90s- the RUS have an obligation to try their very best with the UKRs.
I think we are in agreement.
I refer on the strategic front. Big picture. As per the original article.
There, any notion of “peace and happiness” is only a fake illusion. Even if the people living on the borders /either side/ would want it, their respective overlords will not allow it.
Tactically, you are correct. If only because the people affected do have /some/ agency.
3nd Re e)
Russia very much did NOT “make peace with the Chechens”. Not in the second war. And not with those Chechens who fought the government.
They convinced the clans, which were not /actively/ fighting them till then, to join forces and accept being part of the federation as the better option.
Effectively who made Chechnya TRUE part of Russia, not just a conquered land it was till then, were the idiotic Wahhabi fanatics West imported there. These scum were too barbaric even for the Chechens as they did not respect absolutely anything. As they were openly supported by the West, the West also became the enemy of the Chechens by proxy. These days the Chechens are fighting in Ukraine more “against” the West(ern anti-culture) than “for” Russia.
No, Russia very much DID make peace with the Chechens by offering them the thing they wanted most – to live on THEIR lands according to their own traditions including first and foremost Islamic Sharia. In addition they rebuilt major cities. As a result they earned the loyalty of the Chechens, who see themselves as under a dhimmi-type arrangement – as long as Russia doesn’t interfere with Chechnya, Chechnya will support the Russian state. It is working out great, Chechens are happy with Russia and Putin, and my guess is Russians don’t have a problem with their Muslim countrymen.
The Wahabis played little role. First of all the West did not import them, many of them were Chechens themselves. They were a minor factor in a Chechen population that was already involved in a bitter and bloody war. They caused some problems, but nothing that couldn’t be handled. You will note they have ceased to be a factor for decades. You are right that the Chechens are anti-West, but that is because they are Islamic and regardless it is beside the point. Chechens are pro-Russia because Russia guarantees their independence, and fight because Russia says its necessary for the security of the Russian Federation. They actually are not that anti-Ukrainian per se (many Ukrainians are also fellow Muslims), but they are anti-NATO and anti-West.
Very good post
Hi User,
“They convinced the clans, which were not /actively/ fighting them till then, to join forces and accept being part of the federation as the better option.”
this is one working definition of peace. it is good enough.
good enough for RUS and hopefully, UKR sees it as good enough too.

I think you are very, very wise. And I think your reasoning is very, very similar to that of V. Putin. Thank you for sharing this extremely valuable perspective. I don’t know how you got inside Mr. Putin’s head, but I think somehow you did.
On the other hand…. D. Medvedev — whom I had long thought of as Putin’s alter ego, saying out loud the things that statesman Putin cannot — has been getting pretty scary on his Telegram channel lately, quoting the Apocalypse and talking about fire and brimstone, burning earth and melting concrete… veiled (or not so veiled!) references to nuclear war.
I guess it could be argued that Putin / Medvedev are kind of doing a good cop / bad cop thing, with Medvedev threatening horrible things to try to scare the West into backing down. But given how insane and evil the Western power-freaks are, it makes me very nervous indeed.
Hi Heartlander,
Thank you for your kind words.
Can’t claim to know what Mr Putin is thinking, just keeping with the principles of humanity.
its pragmatism too- one can never sleep in peace if your neighbors are poor and desperate…. and this is a case where your neighbors are also somewhat your blood relations!
I think RUS has been consistent thus far- their actions hold the moral high ground in RUS and UKR.
If the poor relations with EU continues, the RUS economy will be severely tested i think- with all the logistics, finance, supply chain and what not broken.
As for tough words, it is inevitable that emotions are stirred… hopefully, at some point UKR as a country will mature and realize that they have to stand up for themselves instead of asking themselves- “to the west or to the east?”
Stay calm, be prepared (strengthen ourselves, plan and practice)…. and don’t lose our hearts.
Hi Heartlander,
Since the partial mobilization occurred, I was reminded of your comments and my earlier post.
The partial mobilization is clearly an escalation by RUS in resp to an upgrade on UKR weapons. By RUS’ own estimates, the UKR army is basically incapacitated. It is surviving now only because of NATO/US weapons systems.
For six months since the SMO, there were many attempts to negotiate- but the West chose otherwise. I’m still trying to figure out if it is a genuine plan to destroy RUS or is it out of fear for RUS… it just seems utterly illogical that govts would ruin their own people and economy for no good reason.
Hence, it is logical that RUS commits more resources to the issue. With the referendums and partial mobilization, I think RUS is drawing a clearer line- they are now willing to commit more resources and go on major offensives if necessary.
Unless the West wants to attack RUS with the new four provinces and risk greater retaliation, this redline does clear the table for a negotiated settlement
a) UKR will be landlocked if RUS takes Odessa-Transdnistria…. this gives RUS a major influence in the region with full access to the Black Sea and also, major control over UKR’s economy. This might be too much shaking up of regional politics.
b) not forgetting that taking over Odessa-Transdnistria does open up another “front” of RUS’ borders. More resources needs to be committed to safeguard these areas.
c) the EU economy – its sliding badly… I cannot imagine how the population would think when they become cold, hungry and unemployed. its really strange to think they literally brought it on themselves. i hope common sense and pragmatism comes back.
d) Going West of the Dnieper is really troublesome because there are more pro-UKR supporters as one travels West…. this means at the tactical/operational level, more resources/suffering needs to be committed for internal security.
in any case, i hope RUS shows restraint- my earlier point about not leaving UKR in ruins and rubbles because it simply sows too much hatred remains…. but if they plan to rebuild them like Mariupol, then they better do it fast.
i also hope this doesnt stir the bloodlust in RUS…. dont become the demon you are slaying… only the merciful are truly brave!
Thank you, Pepe.
But I am not sure the time has come for an escalation from the Russian side. They have very restrained the whole campaign, reponding, not escalating. I fail to see how the Western psyops should influence this a lot. Yes, even Russians and foreign supporters are howling for reveng, but what is there to revenge, really? The loss of a territory that was not important enough to secure? That RGS was outmanouvered in a less important part of the front, partially because they had streched the front to wide? Well, someone shold learn their lesson here, but they pulled out in good time nd order, and got to ddestroy the attackers, so what is there really to avenge?
Could it be that the slow pace of the steady (and continuing) advance serves three purposes: Preserve own troops by using stand-off weapons, avoiding collateral damage, AND prolong the fight to deplete the true advesary, NATO.
Spoke to a former major to day, been under his command my self, he said already i June that what we are able to provide the Ukrain with will not make any difference to the result. He feared that NATO was already drawn in to a new Vietnam. Coukd be that this is by design. But that is just speculation.
Dear Sir. What they don’t have is propaganda. War is not only launching a Kalibr, war is also live and direct, as a Kalibr vaporizes all those sons of the great shit-eating bitch; that’s propaganda.
Suerte grandísimos cabrones
There is much to avenge besides that. It started with the Occidental Satanarchy backed coup, proceeded to the Maiden and the polish snipers, then the Trade Union’s Hall holocaust, MH17 atrocity, 8 years of tortue, murder and war crimes, insults and abominations beyond measure, impudent and insolent neverending insults and racism from the mockers and haters of God, then it progressed to aggression, the Bucha atrocity, the Kramatorsk atrocity, torture of POWs, civilian shields, shelling of civilian areas, mining of civilian neigbhorhoods with petal mines, the mass murder of its own POWs at Zelenokova, reprisal murders, shelling of The ZNPP and countless other abominations, including the Mengele biolabs.
Perhaps the greatest psychological operation would be to crush the UKR forces. The same counter psyops of truth. Somewhat similar to the trust level decline of western propaganda after the ghost of Kyiv BS and such.
While attempting to fight a “limited” war is understandable, even admirable, no war can ever stay limited, because of one stark fact: inevitably, one side starts to lose. Then it’s either abject surrender or Caedite eos.
Spot on, as usual. nothing to oppose, very little to add.
The usual magic behind Western “successes” is in their ability to seamlessly switch cause and effect.
The sight of the hand in Izyum victory is easily revealed in the timeline of events.
FIRST Russians pulled troops from Kharkiv area to strengthen defenses in the south. THEN UkroNATO seized the opportunity, and charged into the emptied area, near the end of Russian redeployment, with overwhelming forces. They could take that territory without a fight, with half of engaged units, easily. What we witnessed is PR extravaganza that had certain benefits for both sides. Kharkiv pseudo-defeat finally broke restraints in Moscow, and turn clogged pain-dial a couple of notches up. In my view, Kiev made a sucker’s deal.
Izyum charge was a rehearsal of a new tactic that will be used by UkroNATO forces. After a substantial artillery barrage, they drive light and fast troops transporter directly into defenders lines. They think that if manage to quickly pass preselected kill boxes, saturated with Russian artillery fire, they will have few(er) casualties. In theory, that works when the area is cowered with cannon shells. But what stops Russians to engage large number of 20mm AA guns? That will pierce the aluminum “armor” of western light troop transports like cheese. Let alone those ISIS-style Toyotas. If so, we’ll see many good old Pragas in action.
If next UkroNATO offensive fizzles again, we will enter a completely new phase, something none of us experienced.
As for EU… Their fate is in the God’s hands. If winter turns out to be mild, they might to run on fumes till the next one in 2024. Many will flake out long before.
Well what the west says is factually true it took the ukies 4 days to take all that territory and in 6 months half of Donetsk is still controlled by ukronazis.
The Russian AF should be carpet bombing these forces right now..they’re not. The Russian army should be ready for a cauldron…who knows?
What is happening is executions of “pro-russians” left behind. I know I have seen the videos on intel slava.
I still think Donetsk is a main target..if not a hugely symbolic event if it is lost. I wonder if ukr is just kind of warming up so far practising for this.
Russia could have easily avoided the complete fracturing of its English language supporters if it just put troops into the north. Its not like Russia has a shortage of troops.
What is next ? Lizz Truss to Izyum ? I was totally fighting against team doom until now.
This!
“This is an existential war. A do or die affair. The American geopolitical / geoeconomic goal, to put it bluntly, is to destroy Russian unity, impose regime change and plunder all those immense natural resources.”
The fundamental question is not one of day-to-day Russian military tactics, but what the West will do. And the West has been very clear; they are “fully committed” to Ukrainian victory. Not even a Russian withdrawal back to pre-incursion borders will end this conflict. As I have stated to incredulous friends and family, WW3 started on Feb 24, 2022 as neither side can or will stop.
I value the military insights and perspective of Martyanov, Saker, Larry Johnson and others, but Paul Craig Roberts’ political and financial perspective is proving correct. A limited SMO is a huge miscalculation because the West will NEVER allow it to remain “limited”.
Only a decisive and complete Russian victory in Ukraine will prevent WW3, for a few more years anyway. Let us pray it is not too late for decisive Russian action that will end the ‘SMO’ quickly and save tens of millions of people from a worse fate.
I believe WW3 started with the attack on the former Yugoslavia all those years ago,the Empire were not stopped then so we are with this situation now, although Russia was in no state to stop Nato attacking Serbia at that time, thats why the Empire chose its moment.
I think Russia is completely rethinking its war strategy in toto. The invasion itself was a gamble. Russia must defend Mariupol and key strategic areas in Donbas I would suppose. Beyond which lie Crimea and, of course, oppositely Russia proper. Ukrainian incursion into Donbas and attempts to retake Mariupol (gateway to Crimea) change the nature of the war, into essentially a defensive war for Russia. The dynamic thus becomes almost diametric in such a scenario (perhaps what it should have all along). Russia can thus philosophically, ethically, strategically take its gloves off in defense of its essential national interest if it comes to that.
This has been a defensive war for Russia since 1941.
You are wrong here friend. They have been defending since the Kievan Rus and every time they defended they expanded. They were subject to western crusades to destroy it once or twice a century, be it by Sweden, Poland, France, Germany, or some combination of the above. Long history of being invaded from every direction, but especially from the west. Having the CIA and the US State Department run Ukraine with the help of Ukrainian Nazis qualifies as an invasion.Vikings

This has conditioned the Russian character in a specific set of ways which, if not adequately understood, is likely to lead to disaster for Europe and the world. Russia cannot lose this war. The Empire needs Russian resources which they dont want to purchase but steal. The colonial people remember their exploitation which continues with exploitation of labour but that is almost over. As far as Ukraine is concerned the Zelenski gang is guilty of war crimes and they will all flee to where their Nazi forfathers are seen as “freedom fighters” USA , Canada, UK, and the other EU members that colaborated with Adolf whose Drang Nach Osten cost the world 50 million dead.
There go the Lord Queensberry Rules which Russia insisted on following.
The howling and squealing is a huge tell that those genocidal vermin are fond of inflicting misery on civilians/civilian infrastructure but can’t take it.

Apparently Pepe is not aware of something called the Tet offensive. Defeat at battlefield. Decisive psyop and propaganda victory for the Viet Minh.
Does it matter? We need to see whose tanks rolled up to the South’s capital and who scurried out of Vietnam like rats on a sinking ship.
The Winter season officially starts in the Northern Hemisphere on the solstice in December, 2022.
See the countdown clock: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?p0=421&iso=20221221T164813&msg=December%20solstice%202022%20Countdown .
It is reasonable to assume that weather is a factor in the overall strategy of the RGS (Russian General Staff) with regard to the military war between the U.S. and Russia currently taking place on Ukrainian soil. The economies of central European countries, their peoples and their habitats will suffer much misery while their leaders foolishly act in solidarity with Washington, DC diktats.
The NATO alliance, EU policymakers, political parties, labor unions and the hemispherical media propaganda consortium are all a distraction from the two core belligerents, one of which defends its 1,000 plus year sovereignty from the conquest desires of the western citadel of Satan.
Nothing inherent to the U.S.will halt the war munitions industry; it is too integrated in the economy and its flawed history. No politician can stop it no matter the Pentagon loses vast amounts of men and materials. Like Wall Street banks, it has become TBTF (Too Big to Fail).
The American people are too divided, weak of mind and spiritual enlightenment. As long as the U.S. Treasury has parasitic buyers for its bonds that believe in the “full faith and credit of the United States” they will make a purchase to earn the interest paid on the debt. It is the only man-made perpetual motion money machine in existence.
How will this great conflict end, on the steppe of Ukraine or far, far away in the land of amber waves of grain?
All of us who have no power to affect the outcome can only watch in horror as it unfolds day by day. Even earnest prayer to Almighty God seems futile.
But perhaps that’s why divine intervention will not intercede; our worship is insincere and flighty. We ask the Lord when we only want something and not to glorify him. Our devotions and benedictions ring hollow in his ears and he turns away. We have to go beyond our pathetic self-interests and realize that without God in our lives there will be no miracle forth coming.
And we need the phenomenon of God to act, for who else can bring peace to our world in this most trying time?
The winter solstice is a set date regarding light periods, most dark, little light Dec 22. It really has noting to do with temps. The Autumn solstice Sept 22, heralds the advent of ‘cold’. Freeze up happens anywhere between mid Oct to mid Nov up north……of course it all depends on…..climate change, aka, the weather.
Cheers M
Isn’t the December solstice the exact middle of winter?
Every day after that starts getting longer so a winter starting at the solstice will drag into spring. You’re right in that our dog’s breakfast of 12 unequal calendar months as opposed to 13 equal lunar months means that a calendar date of December 1st is just a ballpark date and that a more accurate celestial marker must have been used to determine the beginning of the season.
It’s a repetitive argument for me, I believe that the solstices and the equinoxes are the mid date of the season’s. And if 52 weeks divided into 4 seasons we get 13 weeks per season.
Which means that if the December solstice is the middle of the season one needs to go back 6 and a 1/2 weeks to find the beginning of the season.
Which takes us back to November 6th / 7th.
The pagan calendar does this with various festivals timed 6 and a 1/2 weeks before or after the various equinoxes and solstices.
Samhain is translated into “Summer’s end” and traditionally fell on November 6th or 7th according to traditional pagans who still use the solstice in the calculations or October 31st for the lazy ones who try to marry it with the modern calendar.
Here Downunder we don’t wait for calendar spring to spray for Bindi weeds we spray in early August at the beginning of real spring.
So if winter really starts at the end of the first week of November it should be really biting by December 1st long before you’re solstice date.
General Winter will be earlier than you assume.
RF is waiting out not only the EU economic situation but also the US/NATO/Neocon commitment. In fact, Washington is also “waiting.”
Everyone is waiting to see who blinks first to transform the SMO. This is why I continue to warn everyone that nuke war is on the table. It is a real option. Washington WILL engage directly. Probably first via a feint in Caucusus and Syria to thin RF forces. But Washington will not allow RF a victory in Ukraine. It will not happen. And of course Russia will not lose.
There is no scenario in which Washington concedes Ukraine. None.
Domestic unrest is the only conceivable scenario I can think of. The country becomes unmanageable. Too many Hoovervilles to finance war in Ukraine. Bankruptcy. Insolvency. These are actual likely scenarios that would necessitate conceding Ukraine. Of course this requires a domestic American regime change. Just like Europe.
The US government can’t finance a direct confrontation with Russia. It won’t have the time anyway. When US and Russian forces go officially hot conventional warheads will rain down on the US. How many minutes of that before “Biden” goes nuclear? There will be no need or opportunity for conventional direct warfare between great powers. The board is guaranteed to flip. It seems as though America will stare into its own defeat and either buckle or Armageddon. The more domestic unrest, the greater the chance America buckles at the knees and doesn’t launch nukes.
The more domestic unrest in America the greater the chance that Armageddon doesn’t happen. For that matter, Trump may run on an anti-NATO anti-war platform wouldn’t that be something?
Ray McGovern used to be CIA. He’s widely quoted, Pepe quotes him. He saw video of ufo’s disarming nukes mid flight. One American base’s nukes all got deactivated at the same time when a ufo flew over. The ufos won’t let Armageddon happen. Keep the faith. Higher dimensions are here with us. This is spiritual warfare, after all
Hate to rain on your parade, but UFOs are American “black” top secret aircraft, not little benevolent green men from another planet—that’s just a planned disinformation hoax. Presumably Russians have them too.
If the USA had a news media and a Republican party worth its salt, Americans would be aware (and OPPOSE) the use of US servicemen and women, US Weapons and assets, and US dollars to support a war to protect President Biden’s Burisma shakedown.
To paraphrase a former French prime minister…”this is the hour of Europe…..”
Right..the hour to show they are pathetic pansies hoping the US provides “NATO” with cash, weapons, soldiers, and ammunition.
According to an expert analysis, “if transformers of 110-330 kV are damaged, then it will almost never be possible to put it into operation (…) And if this happens at least at 5 substations at the same time, then everything is kaput. Stone age forever.
Well maybe not forever. But rebuilding will require steel and concrete and fire brick and copper… which always came from the Donbas. Stone age until accommodation is reached with the Republics.
In other words, goodbye partners, welcome enemies. While I understand Russia diplomatic posture, but it is long overdue to change to tune and stop pretending being polite to people who are everything but nice and polite.
Excellent article as always by Pepe! I’m sitting back and waiting, not getting worked up about the ups and down in this war/SMO. I trust that VVP and his advisors will do the best they can in this existential struggle.
Accuse me of being a Putin lover, guilty as charged. I do admire the man immensely. I’ve read/watched his speeches/statements/actions and behaviors for many years. He is patient, pragmatic, thoughtful, caring, honest, firm, disciplined and kind. He cares about Russia, the Russian people, but also other nation’s people. He cares, but he’s not soft. He does not shy away from hard, painful decisions and actions even if they hurt innocent people as long as the actions prevent larger harm. This is an epic, existential and world-altering struggle. I see his approach as strongly influenced by Eastern philosophies, art of war/Sun Tzu/Judo style.
While the West is blundering forward, quick reactions without long-term strategy, bragging, huge ego and impatience, I see the opposite from VVP and his close advisers:
Let your opponent destroy themselves – using your opponent’s momentum to hurt themselves, while avoiding the blow (despite what looks like failure, defeat, a mistake at the moment – long term wins the fight with least harm/effort to yourself).
Patience is required for this style. Immense patience and lack of ego.
Planning/long term strategy and anticipating all/most potential moves and developments.
Pretending to play along – feint. Not saying anything to the contrary does not imply agreement. Not taking immediate action does not mean acquiescence to events/situation, nor weakness, nor that no action will ever be forthcoming – just that you will choose when, how, where to respond.
Letting enemy see what you want them to see. Showing yourself weak, not responding, not bragging, no shows of force to make enemy drop his guard, feel secure. Bide your time, strike when opportunity is present, when most advantageous to you.
Time is on your side; other side is hurting economically and energy starved. As more time goes by other side gets more and more desperate, lashing out, acting crazy and illegal. This turns away more and more supporters/countries, while you promote stability/lawfulness.

I am deeply grateful to you for articulating so precisely my own perception of V.V. Putin. Nearly everyone I know has bought the Western propaganda that paints the man as the exact OPPOSITE of who he really is. He is a man uniquely fitted to this turning point in history.
I know that he probably only really cares for/about his own people, Holy Mother Russia, but I am profoundly grateful to him, and consider him MY leader, since, in fighting against the satanic WEF/NWO/transumanist global elite, he is effectively fighting on behalf of all humanity.
Poor man, he is carrying the weight of the whole world on his shoulders! As someone pointed out, Russia is the last BULWARK against the satanic transhumanist onslaught. Being the tip of the spear against those forces of evil is not a role that V. Putin chose, but it is the role he has been given. May God guide him, protect him and fortify him, enabling him to continue to rise to the occasion.
“He is a man uniquely fitted to this turning point in history.” Indeed Heartlander, we share the same thoughts.
Time for western 404 to feel some pain. The point is that 404 is beyond reason – it is hitting nuclear power plant, it is hitting civilians in Donbass, it is hitting civilians in RF.
Along the lines of this article are the two newest programs on Cross Talk. They were very important, talking about the Ukrainian counter-offensive and Russia’s reaction (and needed reaction):

Also on Russia’s most famous political talk show they interviewed a very well known Russian war correspondent on the Kharkov frontline:
We need a line of action that is stable in composition. We need five times more people for the offensive, so that the Russian troops feel more confident. If we proceed from the task – offensive. If we defended one to eight in the Kharkov direction, that is, there are eight Ukrainian Nazis, and we are one, we need to increase our presence at least five times. This is not counting the re-equipment of regular units, which must be re-equipped flawlessly: a motorized rifle company – 110 people, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. Please!
Alexander Sladkov, war correspondent of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company on Soloviev Live.

What he was talking about is the reporting that unlike what have heard the Ukie attack was around 9 thousand Ukie and many foreign mercenaries. But that the number of Russian troops defending weren’t even the 2500 we’ve heard about. But instead more like 1000-1200. There are also reports that the foreign mercenaries are being used as recon terror attack units to go behind Russian lines. Attacking supply lines and just popping out and machine gunning Russian base troops, using fast light vehicles. Basically the NATO, Middle East terror attack strategy.
Now it seems to me the ACW that I am. That there should be Russian counter terrorist units constantly on the hunt for them.Using drones, both attack drones, and reconnaissance drones,to help counter that. They have to be riding on roads so the roads should be under surveillance and patrolled 24/7. With a dedicated force of trained recon killer troops. Why they aren’t is a failing that needs to instantly be corrected.
As I understand it Russia had such antiterrorist groups in balaklia (spelling) Rosgvardia or whatever the are called. Wrer these trrops ther to hunt down these troops behind their lines?
I read that there were five main brigades backed by various special units, so it could be well over 20,000. Not sure what to believe but the pressure continuing along the entire Kharkov-Izyum-Belogorovka front points to at least 20,000, which gives about 7 BTGs/10km for the offensive.
One issue that has been underreported (or deliberately downplayed) is the hand of Germany in the Ukraine proxy war against Russia.
For Germany, the Ukraine War is merely a pretext for German militarization and the broader assertion of German imperial ambitions not only in Europe but further eastwards against Russia and even China.
The recent speech by German regime leader Olaf Scholz in Prague lays out these German ambitions in all but name, hidden behind euphemisms about promoting a “united Europe” under “German leadership”:
“Germany is deliberately intensifying the war in Ukraine in order to weld Europe together under its hegemony and militarise the continent so it can become a world power. This was the central message contained in the keynote speech by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Charles University in Prague on Monday.”

In many ways, World War 2 never ended. The German ambition to conquer Russia–and further lands eastward–has only mutated in form not substance.
The German threat is rising once again, with a new Drach Nang Ost or “March to the East,” emulating their Nazi ancestors.

The fate was decided, and Scholz will deliver on it at last.
Thank you Pepe for this needed review as all take a breath for next explosive moment.. or may be not! Does Russia need to change anything? The nazis are about run out of trained local bodies. After imminent eviction from the Donbass conurbations, it may be a real turkey shoot in the steppes too.
The Russians appear currently in a holding pattern. They are deliberating whether to advance the SMO terminology to an Anti-Terrorist A[something, to avoid the Ukie term of ATO]. So from SMO to ATA on the pain dial. If it gets to War, God Help us all. It means the Dr. Strangelove Dance with the USA.
“Once again, a fiery debate rages on what Russia will do next (the RGS, after all, is inscrutable, except for Yoda Patrushev).”
Yes, and it appears Russians can wait a little longer. No need for panic. Time is on their side. They can leisurely expand or upgrade the SMO to ATA using current force structure. And it appears they are waiting to see if the crazies escalate in a materially unacceptable way – say with dirty weapons. The German CDU opposition leader went off the rails and prognosticated Doom for September 24, so we will see. If they do, then we will all pray alongside former President Medvedev. If they don’t, the crazies lose definitively in every possible scenario. No VR victories can overcome that.
“No one – not even Maria Zakharova.. knows what the Russian General Staff (RGS) plans”
Yes, neither does Khadyrov. Telegram warriors need to keep this in mind for the future.. most everyone overreacted. Could the MoD have better messaged it in this modern age, rather than observing the Secrecy of the times of Ivan the Terrible? Sure. But it is their prerogative, not for us Latte-sipping neurotics to second-guess them 24/7. I say thank God Russian deciders do not live in the Meta! In fact, taking a fake loss and still marching on may appear romantic to the woke element in Zone B too. They will now consider Russians more human and less like the western-crafted image of marauding bloodthirsty Mongols..
“[1] The Special Military Operation (SMO), conceptually, is not about conquering territory per se.. [2] That concept may be about to be tweaked. And that’s where the tortuous, tricky debate on Russia mobilization fits in.”
[1] Thank you for reminder to all! So many were hung up with a preplanned (albeit poorly communicated) standard retreat. The job of grinding nazis into nonexistence continues unabated. It has in fact increased! [2] I still do not see a mobilization coming.. Russian attitudes from Day 01 said otherwise. Stand-off missile work and dronification and the current grind is sufficient.
“[3] The mood in NATO-controlled EU is approaching Desperation Row. [4] There’s a strong possibility this counter-offensive signifies NATO entering the war for good,”
Yes, the third point is clear. All Hell is about to break loose in Europe. However what the liquidation of the 2-300,000 UkroNazis has demonstrated is that NATO has even less chance. Ukies were their best land forces.. the next rungs on the escalation ladder involve dirty-weapons terrorism..
So there is a race of sorts – in Europe between Generals Winter, Darkness, Hunger and Barricades on fire throughout Old Europe (if only for Heat) and getting impossible Russian submission. Technocrats neglected to tell their people they lost that race in April, perhaps by March.. With Russian economy secure, political establishment on message, all Russian homes warm, well-fed on affordable priced food (and dropping), all the crazies have is a Naked Empty gun pointed eastwards. Scholz and Le Petit Roi called VVP in last day.. right after the Kharkov “success.” And what did the Imperial Vice-Roys get?? Surrender?! Perhaps Russians will deign to donate polishing material and sturdy Tuvan-knit cloth for lampposts beautification throughout Old Europe. A svelte and chic Macron would strike a more elegant pose than Il Duce!
No, let’s always keep in mind, PR shenanigans notwithstanding, what remains is the manner of concluding the Western seppuku ceremony – with dignity, élan, a last smoke and a single clean stroke, or the blunt Viking axe!
Gloves off. Brass knuckles on.
This is a very interesting and informative discussion on RT:
CrossTalk: ‘Catalyst’
https://www.rt.com/shows/crosstalk/562680-ukraine-successes-escalation-conflict/
Scott Ritter makes some excellent points:
-Ukraine won a battle but lost the war.
-Time is on Russia’s side.
-Focusing on the battlefield causes us to lose sight of the larger geopolitical game, which Russia is winning. The economic sanctions clearly have not hurt Russia, but are crushing Europe
-Autumn rains and Winter freeze is coming, making any large military operation inadvisable.
-Winter is going to bring extreme suffering and hardship to Europe, so the current crop of gung-ho political leaders may be swept out of power as people freeze and starve, changing the political, economic and military support for Ukraine come Spring.
-Russia will take its time over the winter to digest the lessons learned and, come springtime, will deliver its own hammer blow to Ukraine, which in the mean time will continue to sink economically.
I’m an American. I hate to see any of this happen. It is totally unnecessary. We could have, as President Kennedy long ago wanted, coexisted peacefully with Russia. But JFK got his head blown off for daring to say it because the fascistic forces within the U.S. want to rule the world at the point of a gun.
The stated U.S. policy is “Full Spectrum Dominance” – that means control of land, air, sea and space and all natural resources. This, to me, is insane. It is anti-human. Yet here we are, after the U.S. has for decades poured untold trillions of $ into its war machine and killed, maimed and displaced millions of human beings.
Now I live in a country that I don’t even recognize — Mass surveillance, diminished rights, censorship, crackpot gender ideology, terrible crime and economic decline, and little hope for a better future.
I pray that things turn around quickly for the sake of all humanity. But I fear that western leaders are living in a bubble world of wealth and power and are drinking their own Kool-Aid. That does not bode well for any of us.
Sorry, but I think Russia should destroy any infrastructure Ukros still got, she should push the civilian population (they are not pro russian people) to dire situations, and she should not give the enemy time to get re armed by Nato. I understand that this conflict is a multi layer one and the economicic front with EU is part of it, but it is extremely important to win on the battlefield….
“We interrupt this program to announce a Major Bulletin.”
Please pardon the intrusion, but this is vitally important:
Please go to @KimDotcom and find the Rand memo @KimDotcom announcing that the US Financiers & UK/EU Financiers going in to destroy the German Industrial/trade monolithic, that used to trade with Russia, Italy, France, China, and elsewhere. These financiers will privatize everything in both Germany, but most of the EU/UK.
ALL small businesses, Real Estate, Health Care Hospitals, Health Care Clinics, and everything else they can get their hands on.
The economist, Dr. Michael Hudson forewarned us back in February, 2022 that the “US Will Destroy Germany for The 3d Time This Century.” Hudson knew this, because he has insider knowledge within the US Financial House. You can read that article on his blog: http://www.michael-hudson.com.
Of course, the High Command in Russia, China & Elsewhere have already been made aware of this “news.”
It’s another very sticky part of those nations trying to remove themselves from the barbaric US Financial Behemoth. Please try to recognize the seriousness of this news
Again, we apologize, again, for breaking this news. .
https://nyadagbladet.se/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/rand-corporation-ukraina-energikris.pdf
This RAND memo you mention is very important to read.
I read somewhere a few weeks back that N. Korea had offered 100,000 combat troops. I would bet those would be some tough mothers ready for some revenge on the great Empire. That is a lot of trained troops, I was hoping that would happen. One thing I don’t understand is how can Ukraine assemble any sort of offensive without being observed every step of the way via drones and satellites ? One would think with air superiority that could all be nipped in the bud ? why wasn’t it ? Just wondering, but will leave the strategies up to the Russians.
Thats a question i have asked since day one, never really had an answer,i heard talk about drawing the Ukrainian Nazis out of their positions into the open, not sure.
” all it takes is a few missiles to totally smash the Ukrainian energy grid – adding a new meaning to “decommunization”: de-energization. ”
It’s not a new meaning. It should be noted for those who haven’t already made the leap of understanding, that ALL of Ukraines infrastructure was built by the Soviet Union -the communists .The present regime nazis liberals and all , have been living, as parasites do, on the mighty labour of other people for 30 years all while they mocked and cursed it.
The head of the monster is not Kiev or Nato or the US or the UK, but The City. Russia can knock off a tentacle here or there but it will regrow even larger. WWII never really ended and Russia is fighting the same battles again – on a small scale thus far, but with the potential for widespread or total destruction. Long term DeNazification can only happen when the banksters are decapitated. DeEnergizing and DeResourcing the West won’t work because there are resources to be exploited elsewhere and Russia doesn’t want to become the world’s policeman.
Many good insights offered here today and as also a delight to read Pepe again.
I think I have good understanding of what’s at sake with these dealings in Ukraine.
The United States will not stop not only will they not desist. They will increasingly get down and dirty in matters in which they excel. Actually U.S. can not back off the plan has already been put into play the demise of Germany and the absorption of the EU.
Russia can NOT lose regardless of how this needs to escalate or not. Russia can not allow NATO (the West) to construct nuclear capacity all over Ukraine. It has been correctly stated the TPTB are after the vast wealth of resources belonging to Russia.
The world as a whole is too blind to see but, the entire free world is at stake. And it can not afford that Russia stumble nor fumble in any manner.
While I can appreciate the thoughtfulness behind this slow methodical approach in dominating Ukraine. I can but exclaim again how very very important that Russia win.
There are many numerous and significant events taking place in the world all over simultaneously.
But this conflict happening in Ukraine between Russia and the West has been a long time coming. In scope it has the potential of being apocalyptic in nature such, that we could very well witness the destruction of an entire civilization.
But God is good and He is a God of judgment. “I will repay” saith the Lord.
If you want to summarize Russia’s strategy in Ukraine in one word it would be grinding. On the local scale it means shelling Ukrainian reinforcements until most of its soldiers are incapacitated and the location can be conquered without much fighting. On the countrywide scale it means killing or wounding Ukraine’s professional soldiers until its army is reduced to a bunch of incompetent amateurs that can easily be beaten.
The primary motive is saving the lives of as many Russian soldiers as possible. That may sound nice, but saving lives is not the goal of a military operation. The goal is to conquer territory and/or achieve political concessions. When a strategy doesn’t bring the desired goal it is wasting the lives of its soldiers.
It is by now obvious that on a local scale grinding doesn’t work. Sure, Russia can kill two- to threehundred Ukrainian soldiers a day. But Ukraine just replaces them. And it is able to keep doing that for several more years at least. In the meantime the Russian offensive has been almost completely frozen. As long as you the efficiency of the operation in terms of the number of Ukrainian soldiers that die in relation to the number of Russian soldiers that die this may seem efficient. But when you calculate the number of Russian soldiers that has to die to conquer one square kilometer the efficiency is disappointing.
Then there is the factor of time. When Russia initially advinced on Kiev and Kharkov its goal was a quick win. The logic was obvious: hostility against Russia couldn’t solidify, Western sanctions would remain limited as soon there wouldn’t be a cause and overwhelming military superiority would make Ukraine soldiers see surrender as the most logical approach.
Grinding makes the progress extremely slow. It feeds the Ukrainian propaganda that Russia can be beaten. Over 90% of the Ukrainians believes that their side will win and that is a major motivation in battle. Thanks to this slowness the West has been able to keep increasing and finetuning their sanctions and their support for the Ukrainian army.
Normally an army divides its forces between a part for defense and a part for offensive operations. The latter parts tends to be mobile and loves to attack the adversary in unexpected places where it can take the advantage of the element of surprise. By committing to grinding Russia has given up on large scale operations and the element of surprise.
The initial plan for the Donbass was to surround the area into a mega-cauldron. Avdeevka and Peski would have fallen without a shot. Sure, the plan was risky. But when successful it might have decided the war. Now we see the Russian army taking such reinforced small cities at major cost. When Russia finally conquers the whole of Donetsk province it may have more casualties than it would have had with the mega-cauldron plan. It certainly will have lost so much time that it has lost momentum and the conquest becomes rather meaningless.
The countrywide version of the grinding myth states that if Russia keeps on grinding Ukraine will run out of professional soldiers and that the remaining amateurs will be easily beaten. But as we recently saw in their Kharkov offensive the Ukrainian army still has lots of professional soldiers. And it is training lots more in Western Europe. Russia may well need to kill hundreds of thousands before it has any real effect.
One of the inititial goals of the operation was to minimize the number of Ukrainian casualties. After all Ukraine is a brother nation with which Russia has to live in the future. Also many Russians have relatives living there. Yet the grinding myth stipulates killing numerous Ukrainians. This looks like saving the lives of present day soldiers at the expense of future generations.
The retreat from Kharkov province has been presented as a tactical operation. The Oskol river is a better defendable barrier and that releases soldiers to fight in the Donbass. I won’t pretend to know better than the Russian MoD. But its communication makes me wonder whether it is giving up valuable territory in the believe that some day the grinding will magically bring victory.
So what is the alternative? Russia is fighting a much more numerous adversary. Its main advantage is that it is technically superior. It controls the air and it has much more artillery.
One option has been discussed many times: disable Ukraine’s infrastructure. Its railroads, electricity and internet could all be quite easily disabled. However, doing so requires a different military doctrine. When you leave the country in such a state for months hunger and other problems will arise. So it should be accompanied by a military campaign. And that is exactly what the grinders don’t want.
Another tactic is taking prisoners. Russia has taken surprisingly few prisoners. Sometimes – such as when it let people escape from the Lysichansk cauldron – that seemed almost a deliberate strategy. But having lots of prisoners is important. The main factor stopping Ukrainian soldiers from surrender is Ukrainians propaganda that they will be treated horribly. The best way to counter that is to have lots of prisoners who communicate with their relatives at home.
Around Kiev Russia faced a dilemma: it would need a lot more soldiers to prevail. It was the dilemma of the numerical inferiority printed large. Russia chose to withdraw. But it also chose to limit itself to grinding.
Its technical superiority gives Russia the option of mobility. It can attack where it wants and exploit local weaknesses of Ukraine. But when it did that in Kiev it got a blooded nose. Western intelligence destroyed much of the surprise effect, Ukraine reacted effectively and incompetence on the Russian side did the rest. But rather than to conclude that it needed to improve its act Russia effectively gave up on this kind of operations.
When analyzing what went wrong in Kiev two things stand out. The Special Forces operation on Hotomel seemed poorly prepared and the decision to withdraw was taken rather late. The Special Forces failure suggests that someone higher up forced them to act while not giving them the freedom to do their work professionally. The late decision to withdraw suggests that there wasn’t a Plan B. Both suggest incompetence high in the ranks. And what is a better strategy for incompetents than grinding? There is not much that can go wrong.
Grinding doesn’t bring victory. It brings stagnation. This situation can last for years. It is a conservative approach that puts saving the lives of soldiers above the goal of winning and then provides a magical belief that you can win anyway. It is also a way of being penny wise and pound foolish: due to the long duration in the end more Russian soldiers may die.
“Ukraine is a brother nation with which Russia has to live in the future.”
Not really. The 40 million is already much reduced. Ukrainians are leaving and Ukraine will get a lot smaller. This winter will be uncomfortable. The border will be short; I hope it will be west of Kiev.
“Exit SMO. Enter War.”…hell right!
As Pepe points out, how the Kharkov episode ultimately fits in remains to be seen. I would make a couple of points. The only way mobilization makes sense is if after mobilization the war is won relatively quickly. Mobilization and a long war are precarious politically on the home front. Secondly I’m never quite sure who’s doing the fighting on the Allied side. Most of the info about front line fighting provided by Dima mentions DPR and LPR militias, Chechens and the Wagner group. Lastly, though the actions and reasoning of the Russians in the Kharkov area seem to make military sense, the abandonment of thousands of pro-Russian civilians to torture, imprisonment and murder is a moral catastrophe.
Good summary ! Might be a contest between the economic war created by the west on its citizens hitting the spot before the capitulation of the Nazi playground!!
It will be interesting to see what happens when American enlisted me start showing up dead and wounded from this war. It’s one thing to use officers to do training away from the front, but it what seems increasingly likely is true – that NATO is supplying men in boots, well that can’t be kept secret for very long.
Taking them back in body bags (without boots) can be tricky..
Nope. They’ve been doing it for decades.
@KS and Heartlander
Absolutely… so well said.
I was going to comment but you guys stole my thunder!
And how beautifully and totally apt is the Alan Watts story you posted KS?
Van Morrison paid Watts a tribute in his song “Alan Watts Blues” in his wonderful album Poetic Champians Compose.
Van the Man the wordsmith/musician extraordinaire, is also a philosopher… he saw through most of this bullshite 50 years ago.

I’m tired of the ways of mice and men
And the empires all turning into rust again

Thanks Pepe, this goes the right direction. But you are still focusing too much on Ukraine and the short term.
And I am really annoyed my many of the commenters that long for Retaliation and Russia showing/using more force.
Remember the main aims of Russia are:
1) protecting people in Eastern Ukraine.
I think they are doing this as good as possible with some tradeoffs. This is discussed often and I don’t want to add much here.
2) demilitarization of Ukraine or even NATO:
In my understanding this involves two things:
– Destroying the existing military, or at least reduce it’s capabilities to a point were it isn’t a thread any more. I think it’s better to do this destruction along the existing front line were most buildings and infrastructure are destroyed and most civilians are evacuated already instead of moving the frontier of destruction all over the country. So Russia has to play weak enough that the west sees some chances to change the game by bringing in their good toys and all their reserves. If it’s neccesary to give them some propaganda victory in order to not only get the Ukrainian reserves out of the cities but also the Western tanks out of the NATO protected warehouses it can be worth it.
– Destroying the believe that a crisis can be solved by military. The more there are PSYOPs now celebrating almost victory the more it will be obvious how wrong this was in hindsight.
3) denazification of Ukraine and as much of the West as possible:
looking back to Nazi Germany and the time after, this is not so much about defeating the Nazis by violence and policing. This will give more the feeling of being humiliated and suppressed and sparks not only resistance, but the will to retaliate as soon as possible. This was tried at Germany after WWI and didn’t work out good. The better way is to show everyone how cruel and inhumane Nazi ideology is so everyone turns away and was in secret inner resistance all the time just to keep the face and some self respect. So the more cruel and extreme the Nazis behave now, the longer nobody wants to be seen anywhere near after all this comes to the surface. From this point of view it makes even sense when the Russian army gives extra chances to the Nazis to show off their cruelty.
Writing about this it comes to my mind, that this could also be one of the reasons why the allies didn’t stop (or at least slow down) Auschwitz at the end of WWII (e.g. by destroying the railways leading there). It was mostly these pictures of cruelties in industrial dimensions that fixed the narrative that Hitler and his regime were of pure evil. If the allies prevented the worst death camps, it had been much harder to condemn any positive opinion about anything the Nazis did.
So for the long term it’s not important that Russia prevents cruelties, but has to ensure that everything gets documented and that they are not getting into the same game.
4) bring the American Imperium to fall:
Time pays for Russia, especially in combination with the sanctions. Much was written about this, so I just want to remind You that this is no reason for Russia to hurry with the SMO.
5) establishing the multi-polar world order:
This proxy war and all the PSYOPS is not only about the West and Europe. The whole zone B is watching closely and I believe Russia takes this much more into account than NATO. The question for all the rest of the world is: who to trust in building the future world order and security structure? Russia has much more to win by showing to be strong but cool and reluctant or even humble, but to play cowboy or loosing her temper.
For being a trusted architect for a new, better world order Russia must be very careful not to be vulnerable on moral grounds and especially not to be a possible thread to smaller countries despite the West saying so.
So acting too weak in Ukraine is better than too aggressive. And then in the next negotiations Putin can plausibly say that he really would like to give bigger concessions in the sake of peace, but he is pressured by the Russian public and opposition not to give in too much. Thus proving that firstly there is relevant opposition and political freedom in Russia and secondly that he is the better choice to be in power, even for the west.
So all in all I can see how a retreat and giving the west a short term propaganda victory serves perfectly well in the bigger picture and to get the bigger goals.
Thanks Pepe. I agree completely with your analysis. I as well agree with The Sakers’ analysis on the success of Western Psops. It could be argued that the purpose of a Psops is to create doubt and fear in the civilian population. The west is able to succeed here because it can dominate in the arena of Mainstream Media and Social Media. However, is it possible the RF can deliver a kinetic form of a Psops? The missile strike on Ukr power plants sends such a message IMHO. As Pepe states we may yet see the Russian version of Shock and Awe. That thought will surely drive a significant amount fear in the hearts and minds of both Ukr soldiers and civilians alike. Should the RGS knock out all utilities (gas, electricity, and water) a full blown panic could break out in the coming winter. Would this spark a regime change? I don’t know. It could lead to another mass migration, but Eu countries will have many of their own problems and may close their borders. This will hasten the complete social collapse of Ukr, with General Winter taking his pound of flesh. The forest and woodland areas have provided the Nazis with a hideout to escape RF retaliatory strikes. I would bet that a desperate and freezing population would most likely take chainsaws and axes to the trees. Should the nazis try to stop them then the people may take chainsaws and axes to them.
The US/NATO has turned Ukraine into a quagmire for Russia.
From the beginning, the US has expressed its intent to prolong and to escalate this war. Russia’s self-imposed restraint in the conduct of this war has allowed US/NATO to rebuild Ukraine’s military capabilities and to use their technology to extend the reach and the effect of the weaponry provided.
How can Russia justify restraint, which has enabled Ukraine to field a large force, re-trained, re-supplied, and re-equipped, and directed by a state-of-the-art command and control structure? It can’t. Politicians, diplomats, public affairs specialists, etc. should be seated in the back row. War is for the military to to wage. The military should be augmented by civilians to care for and to govern the civilians who survive the battles.
Don’t try to make apologies for Russia’s failure to anticipate the recent Ukrainian actions east of Kharkov and in Izyum. The week before the operation began, the Military Summary Channel described the massive buildup in Kharkov: hundreds of armored vehicles were positioned for an offensive. The channel presumed that the Russian military was aware of this.
Compare the Russian response to the Ukrainian action in Kherson with Kharkov:
in Kherson, Russian ground forces withdrew while Russia’s air and artillery assets destroyed all the bridges over which the Ukrainians made their assault. Almost immediately, the Ukrainians lost their mobility and logistical support.
In Kharkov, the bridges were left intact. Since the Russian forces in the region were insufficient to withstand an attack, mines should have been scattered by air along every road. They were not.
I INVITE THE RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF DEFENSE TO STUDY OPERATION LINEBACKER:
Eleven days of strategic carpet bombing by USAF B-52s over North Vietnam halted the conflict -which had been fought for eleven years- and forced North Vietnam into a truce. The Russian TU-166s and Russian missile assets could accomplish the same effect in Ukraine, although it would take somewhat longer, since Ukraine is a much larger country than North Vietnam.
Due to the intense support for the communists among America’s anti-war movement, Nixon was persuaded to accept terms for a truce offered by the North Vietnamese. When the Americans come to the Russians seeking a halt to the destruction of Ukraine, The Russians should tell the Americans and their Ukrainian victims that it will be Russia who will set the terms.
Bombing didn’t end the Vietnam war. The draft, massive civil protests, and daily counts of dead US soliders on the nightly TV news did. If it wasn’t for that the US would probably still be there.
You will notice that we no longer have a draft, and that there is no reporting of US soldiers killed, no coverage of flag-draped coffins being unloaded at Andrews Field.
Black Cloud, I invite you to study Operation Linebacker yourself. There is a book available by that name.
Major media in the West distorted the view of the war among the general public. But throughout, the majority of the American people supported the effort to keep South Vietnam free from the tyranny, the nihilism and the atheism of communism, and to preserve their culture and their religions (70% Buddhist and 25% Catholic):
– During the 1968 presidential election, the major issue was the Vietnam war. While Nixon won the election with just a plurality of the votes, George C. Wallace ran a strong third part campaign which attracted many voters who supported the war effort. Combined, the conviction among voters that the US must persevere in the war effort was well over 50%.
– During the 1972 presidential election, the Vietnam War was again the major issue. Nixon wanted to continue support for South Vietnam and Cambodia. McGovern called for an immediate end to US involvement. Nixon won the 1972 election by the largest margin of victory in the history of the United States. (72% of the popular vote and 49 out of 50 states. Note: George Washington ran unopposed.)
But in fairness, I point out to you that there was someone of major historical importance in that era, who concluded much the same as you have:
– North Vietnam’s top military commander, General Bo Giap, said that the NVA lost every battle of battalion size or greater which his army fought against the Americans. He said that North Vietnam won the war against the Americans in Washington D.C. and in New York City, not in Vietnam.
Is that as opposed to the tyranny, nihilism and and what can be easily described as satanism of capitalism? Also, given the constant failures of the US military then study of it should be limited to those in need of a good laugh!
Praxis,
How snarky and sophomoric of you!
The moral and civil decadence, so evident in America today and to which you refer, was foreign to American culture sixty years ago. The “satanism of capitalism”, along with the prevalence of narcissism, and hedonism, which have infested current American culture, are the products of the proponents of the anti-war movement in the 1960s and 70s. “If it feels good, do it.” “Make love, not war.” “Don’t trust anyone over thirty.” These are the slogans of the “Peaceniks”.
On January 21,1961 John F. Kennedy gave the children of our greatest generation our mission statement. You should read it; and then read it again. It would give you some idea of what was the prevailing public spirit of Americans at that time. I don’t recall any person, who was publicly known at the time, criticize that message. Demonstrated by the way that people voted in the 1968 and 1972 presidential elections, it is evident that the majority of Americans still agreed with JFK’s statement of America’s purpose when they cast those votes.
The focus should be on cutting off western ukraine from the eastern part. Destruction of western infrastructure that supports the ukrop militants must be taken out, and kept out. Western ukraine must be made unlivable by lack of basic utilites and means of civilized existence. Their focus must be occupied by the struggle for simple survival so that they do not have time to plan counter-offensives and PR shows. This must be kept up until they capitulate and learn that banderism is a road to nowhere.
I’m so sick of the weak west of the modern day
While I was in Afghanistan we had to play nice with pedophile rapists while fighting the taliban, who was the government of Afghanistan until we came in and toppled them and installed a rebel leader as a US puppet.
And yet we still couldn’t hold anything after 20 years. I killed dozens of people for no reason. I saw friends die for no reason.
This, the same military that mobilized a million men to sweep across Europe against Hitler’s wermacht.
And then Vietnam happened.
What happened to the west between 1945 and 1965? Korea? We took 140k casualties and then everyone forgot about it, so how important could it have been?
The boomers destroyed America. All of them are still in charge.
The boomers were born between 1946 and 1964. How can babys being born destroy a country?
Russian missiles breached the Karachun dam. Half of Kyvyri Rih is underwater and the ingulets is a torrent washing away bridges and crossings.

🔻Kharkiv direction :
▪️A calm situation remains in Liman and Yampol : the allied forces continue to repel the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on this sector of the front.
▪️Ukrainian DRGs are periodically thrown into Russian-controlled territory across the Oskol River.
▪️The RF Armed Forces launched several missile strikes on the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkov.
🔻On the Bakhmutsky (Artemovsky) direction:
▪️Assault detachments of “PMC Wagner” conduct positional battles on the outskirts of Bakhmut (Artemovsk) and Soledar .
▪️To the south, the allied forces are advancing towards Zaitsevo, the capture of which in the future will allow blocking Bakhmut from the south.
🔻On the Donetsk direction:
▪️Positional battles continue in the vicinity of Pervomaisky and Pesok.
▪️The Ukrainian command continues to prepare for a counteroffensive against the settlements of the Donetsk agglomeration.
🔻On the Zaporozhye direction:
▪️In the morning, around 8:00 am, the Armed Forces of Ukraine pulled equipment to the Orekhovo area. An hour later, the Ukrainian formations began to move towards the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in Nesteryanka, trying to bypass it from two sides, but the attack bogged down and the enemy retreated to their original positions.
▪️During the fighting on the site, about 10 Ukrainian servicemen were captured, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also have losses in military equipment and personnel . The enemy made no further attempts to actively attack.
▪️Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to transfer forces. Crews of UAVs of the 44th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conduct reconnaissance of the area and reconnaissance of the positions of the RF Armed Forces on the line of contact.
▪️Ukrainian forces continued to shell the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and Energodar from positions in Marganets and Nikopol on the northern bank of the Dnieper.
🔻On the Krivoy Rog direction:
▪️The Armed Forces of Ukraine are pulling together the personnel and equipment of the 60th Opbr Brigade in the area of Knyazevka and Topolinoye for the subsequent attack on Novovoznesenskoye.
▪️At the same time, two companies of the 97th battalion of the 60th brigade and several tanks from the 17th brigade are planning to storm strongholds in Arkhangelskoye.
▪️In the evening, the RF Armed Forces launched several missile strikes on the Karachunovskaya dam in Krivoy Rog , partially destroying it, after which the water began to rise in the Ingulets River.
This, in turn, will make it more difficult for Ukrainian formations to transfer reserves across the river in this sector of the front.

My 2cents. Anyone who studied the history of WW1 will remember that ‘Russian mobilization’ was the rallying cry for war trumpeted by the German leadership to a population reluctant to go to war with Russia. It was invoked as the proof of Russia’s aggressive intentions. Reality is that the so-called ‘mobilization’ was a putting on alert of a part of the armed forces after Austro-Hungary started the war against Serbia and hostile demonstrations at the border with Russia.
That’s why Russia resists to ‘mobilize’. It would be declared an act of war and justify ‘legally’ the intervention of NATO troops.

Obrigado, Pepe, as always.
The empire is working in a political and military cauldron around Russia, eroding her alliances and opening new fronts, with the intention of draining Russia’s resources in a perpetual conflict in her surroundings for time to come.
Corrupt Azerbaijan, a pawn of the west, and corrupt Armenia, a multi-vector pawn, have been in constant conflict for decades about a piece of territory they both considers theirs. The conflict dragged on and has now become intertwined into regional geopolitics, Azerbaijan falling into Turkey’s neo-Ottoman expansion, more of a marketing gimmick for their Bayraktar drones, and Turkey becoming their political and military ally.
Azerbaijan is also Israel’s armament client, and has their political and military backing.
Armenia and Azerbaijan conflict flares up regularly, and in those occasions Iran has expressed their support for Armenia, as Armenia is Iran’s weapons client. In the most recent (ongoing) confrontation, Iran threatened to intervene, as it did in the one before. They have been moving weaponry to the border with Azerbaijan, and made a statement that didn’t sound at all pro-Armenian, but anti-war.

“…The Iranian IRGC issued a statement regarding the fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan: ‘Any serious war that may occur in the Caucasus is a war against Iran. We are ready.'”
———————————————
Iranian position sounds more like the region’s peace officer, threatening to punish troublemakers. They have a vested interest in keeping peace on their surroundings, they know Azerbaijan can be used by Israel as a launchpad for an attack on Iran. Also, Iran is building itself into an economic powerhouse as part of the BRI, the INSTC, the CPEC, about to sign membership in the SCO, and doesn’t want disruptions in the neighborhood, blood is costly. Another potential factor, Iran is covering Russia’s soft underbelly.
In response to Iran’s not-so veiled threat against Azerbaijan, Israel just published a video of Lapid stating Israel has green light from the US to bomb Iran.
https://jacobin.com/2022/09/iran-deal-trump-biden-us-israel
https://avia.pro/sites/default/files/images/0922/102.mp4
As you well know, Israel’s intention to cripple Iran, the main resistance against their oppression of the Palestinians, and expansion of their domination in the ME, is nothing new. They were the main factor in the failure of the JCPOA, which I believe hit a block after the US told Iran rejoining the JCPOA agreement was no guarantee the US or Israel would not attack Iran.
Iran then raised a new condition, no more IAEA inspections, which IMHO was used by Iran to tell the Collective West a final F.Y., same argument was used by the west to refuse the continuation of talks, and blamed Iran for the failure.
Added to this geopolitical chess game, was the announcement of corrupt Kazakhstan they are leaving the CSTO, only a few months after Russia saved their behind from a “color revolution.”
The Collective West/Israel, are feverishly working to set fire to Russia’s surroundings.
Ukraine called for Georgia to start a war against Russia, and the opposition parties are calling for a referendum. The Georgian government doesn’t seem too interested in the proposition. They were beaten once, they know Russia will beat them as many times as they decide to be useful idiots to the empire.
Who knows what other hidden cards the evil empire is playing against Russia, and I wonder if we could count on your expertise in the region to shed light on the regional dangers Russia is facing or maybe facing in the not so distant future.
Gratefully,

There isn´t any randomness here ladies and gentlemen. Everything that happens in Ukraine produces more pain for the West and pushes the situation more to Russia´s liking every time, no question about it and taking into account minor dings and dents which are always part of warfare.
I would not be surprised that this whole episode turns out to be a different version of the feint that happened in Kiev. Think about it. I like Pepe but, he is not sharp in the strictly military sphere. He is just not brutal enough to understand this stuff and I am glad he hasn´t had his heart ripped out of him to become like that.
Ya just can´t understand destroying the world, until you are willing to do it. My take folks. God Bless.
Hal Turner radio show web site is saying 1/3rd or 33% of the Ukrainian army during this most recent counter attack are NATO mercenaries plus some from non NATO countries like Latin America. Hal’s sources came up with 33% number based on battlefield dead.
Millenial Reenact of Kalka
The idea of retreating in such a way as to lure enemies into traps is not new. In fact that was one of the most basic strategems of Mongol cavalry groups and you would have encountered it within the first few pages of the operational handbook for Mongol commanders.
One of the classic examples of the idea was the Battle of the Kalka River which occurred in the Donetsk region of Malorossiya (I’m starting to choke on the idea of calling that place “Ukraine”) in late May of 1223. That’s right, eight months shy of exactly 1000 years ago. Basically, a Mongol expeditionary force of around 25,000 horsemen totally butchered a much larger combined force of Kievan Rus and Cumans.
People are supposed to learn from their mistakes… In fact, most decent people would be ashamed of being idiots but real idiots are usually proud of it. Take the Ukronazis for example. They apparently take so much pride in having been victimized by Subutai and Jebe the way they were at Kalka, that they have taken the extraordinary step of RE-ENACTING the disgrace first at Kherson and now on a larger scale around Kharkiv. They apparently didn’t even want to wait the extra eight months, being more concerned that the opportunity might slip if they didn’t do it now.
This site prides itself on having very intelligent and some well-informed commentators. The problem with that is that, by having relevant information, and analyzing it, they will inadvertently give NATO and its henchmen clues about the route of the SMO. And that’s why I think the Russian General Staff prefers to remain silent and stoically endure criticism and hysteria (especially from trolls, who cause their intentions to be said) even from their own close ones.
Considering that, for the most part, those who visit this site and others like A. Martyanov or Larry Johnson are not friends of Russia, I agree with that (equivalent to radio silence). And denounce the provocations.

The “Ramstein” offensive had several objectives, besides securing the next tranche, more weapons and supplies. One of them was to secure a “Kiev Security Treaty” with “the EU countries, the United States, Britain, Australia and Turkey” as guarantors.

“Kiev Security Treaty” will incinerate the West, – Zakharova
The proposals put forward in the Ukrainian draft on security guarantees to continue military and financial assistance to Kiev from Western countries will “incinerate” them, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
On the eve of the Office of Vladimir Zelensky presented the corresponding draft — it is assumed that it will be issued in a joint document called the “Kiev Security Treaty”.
As guarantors, the Ukrainian authorities offer the EU countries, the United States, Britain, Australia and Turkey. The document provides for foreign investment in the military-industrial base of Ukraine, large-scale transfer of weapons and intelligence, conducting military exercises in the country with the involvement of foreign instructors and advisers.
The document stipulates that EU countries should establish permanent supplies of weapons to Ukraine and help financially.
The draft assumes that sanctions against Russia cannot be lifted, including until Moscow “does not compensate for the damage.”
“Putting Western countries under total dependence, obliging them to continue such a large scale of assistance to the Kiev regime, is to incinerate them.
Imagine, it is proposed to do this to states that are now thinking about how they can survive the winter. Drum roll, we are talking about developed countries, ” Zakharova said on Sputnik radio.
At the same time, she stressed that the problems that the EU will face in the next few months are provoked by the actions of the United States.
“They are thinking about how they can survive the winter. But not because of the fact that the incoming meteorite wiped out the energy of these states, not because the Rhine, Danube, Mediterranean Sea overflowed and flooded power plants. No, but because the trouble came more abruptly — in the form of Washington teachers who told the European Union how to live and what to do.
And now, developed countries have simultaneously fallen to the level of underdeveloped countries that do not know how to heat themselves,” Zakharova said.
She added that the states that have already found themselves in this situation “are also offered such a terrible bondage — to sign everything in blood, that it will be a horror without end.”

History, essential to understand causes of Russian invasion in Ukraine. Jacques Pauwels explains:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5DRanmguDc
For the umpteenth time, it’s not “psyops” its just PSYOP. PSYOP is an acronym for “psychological operations”. It’s already plural. I am a former 37F and we used to get smoked all the time anyone ever said “psyops”.
Actually. It is now called MISO as PSYOP has a negative connotation.
The real elephant in the room is that the US is behind all of the chaos in the world. The reason is that the US has never had a real modern war at home. U S soldiers alone may understand the costs of war and might explain the high suicide rate among veterans.
It is my hope the US finally bites off more than it can chew and results in destruction if the US mainland such that ordinary citizens realize in their faces the true costs their elected government brings on them.
With that in mind the EU gambit might just weak on the US militarily so they can’t respond to China if they invade Taiwan and if they do then China etal bring it back to the US in a big way. Why else does China need such a huge navy?
With the western elite, the game is always money, and that is where Russia can do maximum harm with the least possible effort. Ukraine is a massive welfare state. All Russia has to do to propel the EU into an economic face plant is raise the cost of supporting Ukraine. Keep the power off. If EU has to redirect some of its own power to Ukraine than their own power bills will double again. They’ll opt out within a month.
There is a saying in Western Bulgaria and North Macedonia: со благо, со кротце и со малце кютек. Roughly translated it means: nice and easy and with a little bit of beating. I guess the russians are done with “nice and easy”. The problem – for the ukrainians and their masters – is that the russians don’t bother to make a difference between “a little bit of of beating” and “roll over them with the tanks. shells, missiles and everything else in between” ;-).

The battle for Kherson: the situation in the Andreevsky sector
as of 16.45 September 15, 2022
▪️After several unsuccessful attempts to break through the defensive lines of the Russian Armed Forces head-on, the Ukrainian command switched to the tactics of using small sabotage groups with artillery fire support.
▪️At present, due to the decrease in the fire impact of the RF Armed Forces on the “gut”, the logistical communication of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Sukhoi Headquarters has been resumed . In the vicinity of the settlement, ammunition and equipment are being actively brought up.
▪️An additional platoon of the 46th detachment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with anti-tank systems in service arrived in the Belogorka area . As part of probing for weaknesses in the defense of the RF Armed Forces in the direction of Kostromka and Bruskinskoye , reconnaissance groups of the 46th brigade are involved.
One of these groups was able to reach Charivne in the Kherson region almost unhindered by an all-terrain vehicle. Also, the assault detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to break through the defense of Davydov Brod by raids in small groups from the rear.
🔻At the moment, Ukrainian troops are actively replenishing the group. The main task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at this turn is to break through the defensive positions of the RF Armed Forces with a further passage to Berislav and the subsequent encirclement of Russian units on the Krivoy Rog sector of the front.

Kazakhstan, A Stab in Russia’s Back
————————————————-
Have been following with increased interest Kazakhstan cozying up to the West, and it is a shame to see how far the corrupt elites are willing to go, even after Russia saved their ars from becoming another “caliphate.” The latest moves to avoid getting caught in the Western sanctions net, are, to say the least, shameful.
Here is an analysis of what the article calls “servility to the West,” and the future of Kazakhstan.
————————————————————————————-
https://vpoanalytics.com/2022/09/15/kazahstan-ugodnichestvo-pered-zapadom-pryamoj-put-k-krahu-gosudarstva/?utm_source=politobzor.net&utm_campaign=auction
Kazakhstan: servility to the West is a direct path to the collapse of the state
Predictably, the recent trip of the President of Kazakhstan to Sochi could hardly have affected the unfriendly actions towards Russia, which mean a further economic and political loss of already ephemeral sovereignty.
In order not to fall under anti-Russian sanctions, the authorities of the republic consult with the Biden administration and the European Commission, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi said on the sidelines of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions: “Kazakhstan does not fall under secondary sanctions. We have set up a government working group to prevent the negative impact of anti-Russian sanctions on our economy, including the prevention of secondary sanctions. The Working Group is working successfully, and regular consultations are held with the European Commission and the US administration.”
Thus, we can talk about the de facto transfer of trade with Russia under the sanctions control of the White House, and now any deal cannot take place without the approval of the “Washington regional committee”. The goal of US policy in Central Asia should be to “disconnect the economies” of the region’s countries from the Russian one, Anjali Kaur, Deputy Assistant Director of the USAID agency in Russia (one of the departments of the State Department), frankly stated at a hearing in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress. According to her, she is currently working on strengthening the interconnectedness of the economies of the region, as well as on stimulating economic growth and joint actions to combat climate change: “We consider all these priorities to be critically important in order to ultimately disconnect the economies of Central Asian countries from the Russian economy, and this should be our goal”.
In addition to Afghanistan (within the framework of Frederick Starr’s Greater Central Asia project ), another priority area in this logic is the transportation of energy resources produced by foreign consortia in western Kazakhstan, bypassing the Russian territory along the Caspian – Caucasian-Turkish route. According to Artur Shahnazaryan, an oil and gas analyst for projects in the western region of Kazakhstan, on September 6-7, Kazakhstan agreed with Turkey, Azerbaijan and British Petroleum to ship several million tons of oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline by the end of 2022:”It is necessary to carry oil through BTC – 1 in portions of 1.5 million tons per month. By the end of the year, we agreed on 4 million tons.” The agreements were reached with the participation of American Chevron and ExxonMobil, the leading oil producers in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and, interestingly – without formalization in the form of a legally binding document.
A little earlier, the capital of Kazakhstan was visited by Congressmen Jimmy Panetta and Tom Suozzi, who were received by the head of state on September 1. “Thank you, Mr. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, for the productive discussion of U.S.-Kazakhstan relations with Congressmen Jimmy Panetta and Tom Suozzi,” the two men wrote on Twitter. During the 4-day trip, negotiations (or instructions?) took place. also with the heads of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev and the lower house of parliament Yerlan Koshanov, and with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, who declares that a “new stage” of relations with America is being built: “The basis for mutually beneficial cooperation on political and security issues, trade and investment are regular high-level meetings within the framework of the Expanded Partnership Commission. strategic partnership”. In addition, according to the head of Kazakh diplomacy, Kazakh-British relations are also being reformatted (and indeed, the head of MI6 is due to visit Kazakhstan in October, and then the notorious Liz Truss). In a statement to the media on September 5, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov said: on the confirmed commitment of Kazakhstan “to strengthen the expanded strategic partnership with the United States; the role of American capital among the leading investors in our economy and the active development of cooperation in various sectors of the economy within the framework of Kazakhstan’s policy of economic diversification” were noted.
Similar nuances of the negotiations are outlined in the official message of M. Ashimbayev: “For 30 years of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the United States, joint projects and programs of bilateral cooperation in various fields have been successfully implemented. The Speaker of the Senate noted that the Parliament of Kazakhstan is interested in strengthening cooperation with the US Congress in the coming period. Maulen Ashimbayev informed the congressmen about the reforms carried out in Kazakhstan on the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noting the strategic nature of the ongoing reforms.”
These passages are fully illustrated by trade statistics, according to the latest data, exports from Kazakhstan to the United States almost doubled in the first half of 2022. This means that shipments to the United States in January – June exceeded $ 730 million, an increase of 98% compared to the same period in 2021. The largest volume in the export range is occupied by crude oil and petroleum products, ferroalloys, sulfur pyrite, yellow phosphorus, ferrochrome and ferrous metal pipes.
As for imports from overseas, they grew by 10.4% and reached $ 641.2 million. Cars and trucks, medicines, immunological preparations, medical equipment, air pumps, poultry meat, automobile engines, electric generator sets were supplied to Kazakhstan (about 80% of the total import volume).
Recall that in March of this year, online consultations between Kazakhstan and the United States were held on the impact of anti-Russian sanctions on bilateral relations. According to the official information of the Kazakh authorities: “The American side informed about the recently imposed US sanctions against Russia and the specifics of new sanctions restrictions in the trade, economic, banking, financial and energy sectors. Kazakh participants were provided with explanations on various areas of cooperation with partners under the sanctions regime.” Following the event, the parties ” agreed to continue consultations in order to avoid unintended consequences of the US sanctions policy for the Kazakh economy.”
It can be assumed that it was about the impact of US sanctions on Kazakhstan not only against Russia, but also against Cuba: according to available information, the Kazakh delegation for a long time objected to the Island of Freedom receiving observer status in the EEU at the end of 2020.
All this and much more, which we wrote about earlier, does not allow us to treat M. Tleuberdi’s statement, with which we started our material, as a kind of surprise. Of course, the so-called “consultations” with Washington and Brussels in fact call into question the further participation of Kazakhstan in the Eurasian integration associations. It is possible that Western partners are ready to go further, provoking tension along the line of the longest Russian-Kazakh border in Eurasia. And how else to interpret Tleuberdi’s statement that the border of Kazakhstan and Russia “the only one [for the Republic of Kazakhstan] where the demarcation is not completed”, and even made against the background of events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz-Tajik and Russian-Ukrainian borders?
Of course, following Western sanctions will not only negatively affect the country’s foreign trade balance (including food and many other types of security), but also directly call into question the future of the state as such. However, when and on what territory local collaborators, adherents of the destructive pro-Western course, were concerned about such annoying little things…

Exactly. The stated goals of the Russian SMO of demilitarization and denazification are the same as when started. Whether it should remain as an SMO etc. is irrelevant as no change has been forth coming. Any attempt at land grabbing runs the risk of accusations of imperialism as much as many of us deep in Natostan would welcome with open arms the arrival of a “Red Army”!
As it stands the Russian military as well as the leadership have performed fantastically well against massive and entrenched forces including NATOs best that they can muster.
In this day of fast food, throwaway goods, fingertip immediate communications and quick services people demand immediate responses and actions. Instead the Russians have been patient, intelligent, professional and very thoughtful and humane in how they act and utilize their forces and people. Many military experts have highly commended the military progress and consider examples of what has been achieved twill be studied for years ahead.
There is no doubt this has been a Very Special Military Operation
It has to remembered constantly that Russia is dealing with elites in the west whom I would describe as psychopaths. Behind them, in my opinion are the ‘so called’ ‘brothers of the left’. Russia is in a different mental plane in that it overcame the darkness (circa 2000) that was inflicted upon it by these horrible occult brotherhoods behind outer facades, like Wall Street and so on. The west is still dealing with them (Occult brotherhoods) and they still appear to making a lot of evil progress here to do as much damage to spiritual evolution as possible.
They knew (these brotherhoods) in 1917 and know now that Russia is the next cultural age after this Germanic age (Sardis church in revelation). It is the Grail culture of the future (Russian Iranian Iraqi age) that they want to eliminate and destroy spiritual evolution.
So Russia shouldn’t rush into any of this with Ukraine. It should be done slowly. I think the reasons for matters behind apparent failures in the SMO are also based on progressive white brotherhoods influencing the course of events in Ukraine so the evil element there can be overcome without anything really awful happening. I maybe wrong and Russia could go in for the kill. Shock and awe is not always wise, however. Look at Iraq. Has much been achieved for that country? Have they (invaders) helped that country? Surely the whole exercise was wrong from the start and the outcome is equally awful, as it destroyed a people who are also, in my opinion, part of future cultural age. Spiritual realities shouldn’t be ignored if people even want a future worthy of the dignity of humanity.
You are missing the Confucian angle here – Confucianism is a preChristian hidden proto Christianity which has been coded into Chinese language, morality, and culture as some Chinese people have been finding out now. It is the Confucian-Orthodox-Shia axis that the JudeoGermanic satanists are/ will wage war against and be destroyed.

It seems to me that acts of war against Russia are already being committed. Since the loss of Kharkov, Ukrainians are shelling residential sections of Russian towns.
