Since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis, we have been bombarded with mass information and opinions about the war and Europe’s attitude towards it. As someone who deals with geopolitics, I carefully followed the conferences and debates of European experts and politicians and their arguments. That is exactly why I would recommend the online conference and debate that was held on January 5th. The information presented in the debate is very interesting for anyone dealing with the Ukrainian crisis and European policy towards the crisis.
Hansjörg MÜLLER (former member of Bundestag from AfD): Training soldiers makes Germany participant of the war. A Bundestag council stated that Russia would be right if attacking Germany in the framework of international law, because Germany started participating in anti-Russian aggression. Treating Ukrainian soldiers in German hospitals is a good sign of humanity. Sending weapons and training soldiers has nothing to do with humanity. It is act of aggression of war. Regarding the peace opposition in Germany: about 40 percent of German citizens do not believe the media propaganda that Russia started the war. Every history has its prehistory. The war did not start 24.2.2022, but six days earlier, when Ukraine started to shell Donbass 10 times more than before. The prehistory for that is the illegal coup on Maidan, which was financed and operated by the Americans. In Bratislava conference NATO drew a red line where Baltic States, Ukraine and Belarus should be dragged into NATO. All this started in the beginning of the 20th century, when the Anglo-Saxons realised that if the German empire develops further, there will be a power independent of Anglo-Saxon control of seaways, which was the initial spark of the WWI. The ongoing crisis is nothing more than continuation of the ongoing Anglo-Saxon aggression against Germany and Russia for more than 120 years. Land-Lease of 1941 was renewed in 2022. Who provoked this war? It is the Anglo-American weapons industry. There will be no regime change in Russia. The main questions is: who has bigger warehouses and production of weapons. When Russia wins, it will be a change for the new financial system and a big blew for the US.
Patrick POPPEL (geopolitical expert from Austria): Austria is part of the West in this conflict and supporting the interest of NATO. NATO is supporting Ukraine. Austria is a neutral country by constitutional law but in practice not. Also during the pandemics, many politicians worked against the law and the constitution of Austria. People in our government and the media are not neutral. Neutrality is the special weapon of Austria. This neutrality was given to us by Russia, because SovietUnion liberated us. Austria was kept outside NATO and Warsaw Pact and given a constitution of neutrality. Supporting Ukraine is a big mistake because Austria is loosing the reputation of neutral country. When Russian special operation started, many people and political groups called for Austria joining NATO. This was cancelled after many people do not agree with this. There is very bad atmosphere against Russia in Austria. Even after the sanctions there was a big dialogue with Russia. We have to fight against propaganda. We have to show people the truth to have future with Russia. There are many criminals among the refugees and some of them are very rich. Refugee story from Ukraine is like all refugee stories: a big lie. Russia will win this war. But Austria is a looser in this war. Because we have joined the wrong side. Because our mission is to be neutral and a place of dialogue.
Gunnar LINDEMANN (Berlin regional parliament member from AfD): Since the Maidan Germany has not been a neutral country. German politicians were at the Maidan and talked to people at Maidan. There was a revolution from the outside, from NATO countries. This was the time when the war in Donbass started. Since than about 50 000 people were killed in Donbass. They made Minsk agreements with Germany and France, but in fact Ukraine did not keep Minsk agreements.
Because most of the population in Donbass is ethnic Russian, the Russian Federation is helping Donbass people in the conflict. The war did not start in 2022, the war started in 2014. Germany is taking part in the conflict. AfD is the only German party that does not want to send weapons to Ukraine. There are up to 1 million Ukrainians coming to Germany, and they are alowed to stay and get money from German government. Until November 2021, 85 000 people from Ukraine came to Berlin as refugees, only a thousand Ukrainians in Berlin are working. Germany has no place for more refugees. There are lots of Ukrainian men among the refugees as well. Lots of Roma people are coming as Ukrainian refugees but in reality they are from the Balkans. Also thousands of black people come from Ukraine as refugees calling themselves ”students”. EU is paying for the transportation of wounded soldiers to German hospitals. Treatment of Ukrainian soldiers is paid by the German health insurance. As long as these parties are in power, German will send more weapons, even for 20 years. If government changes in Ukraine, we will stop sending weapons. But more important is government change in the US. Maybe the USA loses the interest to fight war in Ukraine. The conflict in Ukraine is possible to solve only in diplomatic way. We have to start diplomatic initiative. We need friendship with Russia.

This is the unravelling of the post WW2 settlement.
Looks like there are lots of people in Europe, perhaps the majority, who still regard the Russians as the enemy.
I don’t see how a settlement can be made in Europe without all old animosities flaring up again.
I understand that hostility towards Russia in Europe, particularly in Poland, is the case, but I always wonder why. The USSR liberated Eastern Europe, and while I am sure there were plenty of extralegal reprisals against Germans, I have never heard of any actions in the liberated countries.
After liberation, the Soviets set up communist governments in the Warsaw Pact nations, just as the West set up capitalist governments in the East. These governments were run by local communists, and while some were repressive, it was not the Russians that were doing the repression.
Perhaps I don’t understand events, but I am baffled by this Russophobia.
Poland is Catholic border state, Russia, one of the centers of Orthodoxy.
That is something fundamentally different between the two.
This much is explained in Sam Huntington’s Clash of Civilization and the New World Order.
Besides religion people with linguistic and cultural differences like to have some degree of autonomy.
I have a theory that the power change in Eastern Europe / USSR came about in a color revolution regime change way. The existing communist elite was replaced by the NATO hibernated former Nazi elite.
This was more clearly seen in the destruction of Yugoslavia, where former Nazis made a comeback.
If a study was done of the new post coldwar powerstructures in Eastern Europe / USSR, I feel confident that it will show most of them as having a history of Nazi collaberation/connection back in the day. As currently seen in Ukraine. NATO was nurturing these structures throughout the coldwar. With a view for a power grab.
I have as much a belief in an organic democratic process being allowed, as I have in ‘not one inch eastward’.
I have observed in my interactions with people from multiple countries that humans are typically filled with evil.
Common people have only one aim ie to live a good comfortable life. Which ever group/system/country appears( this is the key here, appearances) to offer better life they will start looking for justifications to ally with it or at least yearn for it.
This especially effects those who are in twenties and thirties and those who have children around that age.
The lifestyle of the West as promoted by media the constant self advertising for decades attracts people like pied piper.
Of late whole subsections of societies regardless of their geographic location are willing to commit sedition and even killing to get a chance to migrate to those countries offering consumer Nirvana.
If today China can over come the Western propaganda and make the right noises about welcoming people( wether they actually do it or not is immaterial) with its wealth and consumer choices you will find populations around the world well disposed enough to commit acts of sedition against their own countries in support of China.
“The conflict in Ukraine is possible to solve only in diplomatic way. We have to start diplomatic initiative.”
But how can this now be done diplomatically? What would be the point of negotiations between the US and the RF when the US does not honor the treaties and other agreements it has made? Once a country has lost the trust of the others, it is like trying to regain a reputation after you have lost it. It takes a lifetime to establish a reputation, but only moments to lose one.
Why the rampant Russophobia? How to change the current geopolitical situation when it cannot be done diplomatically? I atgree, how do you regain a reputation once you have lsot it. the thing is, you dont. You cant. There is a saying “always rememebr, that by definiation,n you can only lose your reputaion once. Once gone, it’s gone for good”
The Old World nations didnt remember, if inded they ever even knew it.
Changing leaders will make no difference. You know, I dont subscribe to this general common belief that what a nation is comes from it’s leaders, although certainly they can ruin a nation. But ultimately, it comes from the mass of the people. Leaders dont descend to us from on high. They arise from the entire people of the nation. And, as such both they and the people are formed by the Dominant Paradigms they have all accepted.
Leaders, It seems to me, just gather in the wondering strands of attitude, beliefs, character, that float among the masses;, concentrate them, and then beam them back at the populace. Thats why changing the leaders never works.
It has to come from the mass of people, and they have to decide which Paradigm they want. Do they want violence, hatred, envy, materialism, cynicism? If so, they will get the leaders these things bring. And that is exactly what we have, the irreversible effect of the Old World Paradigms of the last 1000 yrs. Did you see the recently released stat – that last year a record increase in the number of Americans shot dead by their Police Officers occurred?
The Police and people subscribe to “if it gets in my way, or I think I may risk losing something, shoot to kill”, then they wonder why the politicians do the same thing. They subscribe to group think, because they passionately subscribe to “what the mass wants is correct”. In politics and ruling Mafia, they call it “democracy”. In a social setting they call it ‘concensus” or “everyone says..”
Faced with a need to make a decision, they dont think “what do I think is the right thing to do – referring to my values and the known facts”. They say “what is everyone else saying, what does my neighbour think”?. Thus, they are easily led, and the hatred or Russia is very simple – it’s because they have been told to hate Russia, and all their friends and family do — so they say they do too. After all, it’s what the masses think that is correct to think, n’est pas?
It all comes down the group of Paradigms that are accepted as paramount; from this we derive our systems, and our systems govern us and form our society, and from that the most suited to this system arise to rule over us.
It does beg the ultimate question doesnt it:. How do you get a people to change the Paradigms they choose to live by?. I think I hear the bell of religious thought ringing. The Bard said it best long ago, I think.
“To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to? ‘Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; aye, there’s the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There’s the respect
That makes Calamity of so long life:
For who would bear the Whips and Scorns of time,
The Oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s Contumely,
The pangs of despised Love, the Law’s delay,
The insolence of Office, and the spurns
That patient merit of unworthy takes,
When he himself might his Quietus make
With a bare Bodkin? Who would Fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have,
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of Resolution
Is sicklied o’er, with the pale cast of Thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment,
With this regard their Currents turn awry.”
It’s a non-solvable problem. Empire don’t do diplomacy or negotiation. We need a miracle.
A play for time seems the best game. Empire is going bankrupt and is facing disintegration.
At some point it will need to come to the table. Keeping the options open is important.
This is an excellent article.. it more or less sums up the conclusion I have arrived at under my own steam, and as an English Anglo Saxon. Long ago I had a light bulb moment, and found myself asking: “are we the bad guys here..?”
The answer to my own question has become ever clearer since 2014, but particularly since February last year.
And, now, nothing causes me more nausea and disgust than our own hypocrisy, which i feel every time I drive into town and see the huge Ukrainian flag flying from the top of our Parish church.
The first shall be last, and the last shall be first, in the Kingdom of the righteous… yes, right now, everything is indeed upside down, but it will not be that way for very much longer.
