Dear friends,
There hyper-short items:
- I will be gone all day on Monday (this is why I did the podcast on Sunday).
- Winter (especially early winter) does not at all prevent military operations in the Ukraine (forget that Jack Forst nonsense). Voentorg might.
- Looks like Zakharchenko won the elections in Novorussia by a large margin (“hurray-patriots” will be enraged).
The Saker
PS: the open thread is yours for the day :-)
Sorry to overstay my welcome here – I have just waded through all the Guardian comments on yesterday’s article and voted for the ones that came up with important points – there were some. That’s all the voting I will do today, and that is just terrible. We have no democracy here.
Towards the end of the comments one person put up a link to an analysis of the supposed recording implicating separatists that Kiev released 25 minutes after the plane disaster. Even to a non-tech like me, the recording is clearly a fake.
[Warning: the Guardian now has disincentives in place so that if you do click on a link you cannot easily return to a page you have been scrolling through – there were ten pages of comments on this subject, and thanks to those who persevered and posted important information.]
Deflect the bad economic news with some anti-Russian propaganda.

re: Russia is weak, Putin is weak.
How often have we had those arguments already ? We had them when Strelkov left, we had them when RU’s humanitarian help got blocked, we had them when the NAF came close to Mariupol, we had them all the while during the negociations and we will probably have them again everytime that Putin does not don his Superman mantle and just destroys all of his enemies in one fell swoop. But if we leave aside the histrionics and look at the last 10 years, VVP has (in the beginning singlehandedly) brought Russia back from the abyss and has created a culture that can serve as a model for a planetary humanity. All of this without resorting to trumpets (“the cavallery is coming”) or other Hollywood drama.
Cheers
What happened to the Ukrainian-Russian gas deal of last Thursday?
Did Ukraine ever send Russia any money?
When will the gas deliveries start?
I just voted for US midterm election.
I voted against Obama and Democrats. Both Houses of Congress will now be in the hands of Republicans.
@Anon,
Q: De Gaulle, as a young man, fought on the front all through WWI.
He was severely injured twice. He was going to be sent home after the first injury, but he requested to be sent back to the front to continue the front.
R: So did German Chancellor Adolf Hitler. Does that make him a nice guy now?
During WW II De Gaulle fought from afar. Putin’s family did not. You can’t change facts after they’ve happened.
Felt good to vote against both the Dems and republicans. I left the vote blank if there was no other choice
Obama gets his just desserts today

HAHAHA the Ukies got beaten by their own propaganda. And the Republics guys are VERY smart. VERY. They grew up in this house of horrors distorting mirror world.
They tok a big show force to guard elections. They PARADED AROUND various towns with military convoys, their own and FAKE Russian ones. Some of their new winter uniforms are Russian style camo and very dark. They left off the chevrons, removed their number plates, maybe even painted on a few white circles (which the blogosphere touts as a sure sign of a Russian tank). Then drove them all over the lace to be sure to be sen and photographed.
Russia DID help out a bit by moving some real stuff closer to the border and drive them up and down the main highway.
For Ukie this just confirm what they always claimed. It was a UKIE report of the 4 NAF divisions with strength of up to 35,000. They are probably pleased with themselves having an “inside informant”.
Well poor NAF does not have that many. But the do have plenty enough to go liberate the other cities. after which they expect to get requests from other places.
Givi is old comrade and genuine friend of Zakharchenko, they talk. What Givi says is not based on ideology. It’s based on knowledge of his new government’s thinking. Especially near the end. WATCH THIS (thanks, Kazzura)

@daniel rich:
Are you for real?
By now, with all the massive lies that turn guys like Putin, Assad or Chavez into unspeakable monsters almost overnight, I would have thought some of you guys would have questioned the veracity of official history in the last 100 years or so. Those techniques are not new you know.
Look up who was the first ever leader to challenge the hegemony of the anglozionist empire and fiat currency. You might be surprised. That leader, after having been boycotted by all international banking institutions, reverted to barter with the nations that would trade with him.and his economy boomed. Meanwhile, the big bankers in the city of London and New York were losing the game. They needed to destroy that guy or their scheme was doomed.
Let me help you a little here. If the anglozionist ever manage to topple Putin and have him killed like Saddam and Khadafi, your grandchildren, in school, will learn that he had invaded Georgia and Ukraine in a bloody, barbaric war because he was a bloodthirsty totalitarian who wanted to rebuild the soviet empire. They will learn that he shot down airliners with babies on board in cold blood. They will learn that Russia under Putin was a dictatorship where people had no freedoms, where gays were persecuted. Who knows, they might even learn that gays were put in concentration camps to be executed.
Hell! Tons of people in the west, certainly the majority in the US and England already believe that kind of crap.
Another hint, try and replace Ukraine today and Poland about 80 years ago… just look it up. Dig for the real info. You will see.
I am somewhat critical of Putin, but there is one thing I know for sure now: he knows true history (but of course he can’t voice it publicly) and he has decided that, unlike others, he will not fall into this Ukraine/Poland trap. Oh no, he has been very disciplined about, despite all the attempts of the west to push him over the edge.
You get my drift? You cannot attempt to destroy the anglozionist control over the world through fiat currency without incurring their undying wrath.
To Kat Kan !
Great youtube of Givi ! I hope he stays well !!
Its fun when he gets to the border of Poland…hehehe…

At 8:45pm Pacific Time, PBS reported Republican finally secure 50 Senate seats. Most likely another three or more seats as the results come in.

I adore the humor of the French. They’ve been so strong when fighting with Germany.

Have the Ukies actually made a payment yet? I’ll predict they’ll make a payment at least for November, and probably December if things haven’t deteriorated by then – I’d be surprised if they paid up at the end of December though.
Donetsk is still being shelled , as reported 5 Nov-should Rus take initiative and cancel Minsk agreement as clearly there is no ceasefire nor withdrawal prohibition ? zone, if it is confirmed cancelled, east to lose special status, east be declared as treasonable , why should not Rus prosecute Kiev for crimes against humanity and war crimes? Why aren’t they? Why aren’t they seeking a UN resolution-at least to expose the hypocricy of the west?
@ Dutch, 28 October, 2014 11:40, “Putin’s speech at the Valdai Club – full transcript”,
Hi Dutch, Not such a “waste of efforts”, Taking the reactions on Irma Schiffer’s translation of Putin’s Valdai speech into account.
So, a collectief of translators prove to be vital for Dutch translations of any article with Eurasia as subject.
any truth in photos of ‘russian tanks ‘ near Krasny Luch in/near Lugansk recently?

It IS maddening that RT doesn’t tell the turth when it would mean being unflattering to the US. The whole purpose of RT must be to tell truths that are not present in the MSM media. Yet, inexplicably, for the most part RT echoes it. If you’re afraid to say the truth as Ken did on the crosstalk clip above you are sure not advancing it.
Who controls RT & what is behind this idiotic policy; does anyone know? –Penelope

Anonymous, I have no idea what you are talking about. I gather you’re angry cuz we don’t know something you do. So tell us already, instead of playing quiz games. Ranting at us is really nonproductive. –Penelope
