The reality of the country, a varied and fragile nation, traversed by important conflicts, can be hidden for a time by repression and terror, as has been the case these last months. However, these practices do not resolve anything and the problems remain.
But, above all, even the Ukrainian government understands the determining economic role played by relations with Russia until 2013. Without an agreement with Russia, Ukraine cannot hope to recover and reconstruct itself. This, the Russian government also knows. Russia thus knows she is going to win, be it with a Kiev government that becomes progressively more sensitive to her arguments, or be it through the collapse of Ukraine. She would prefer to win at the lowest cost but, be sure of it, she will not skimp on the price to pay for this victory. Let us recall the stanzas of the poem, The Scythians:
Russia is a Sphinx. Rejoicing, grieving, Россия – Сфинкс. Ликуя и скорбя,
And drenched in black blood, И обливаясь черной кровью,
She gazes, gazes, gazes at you… Она глядит, глядит, глядит в тебя…

- Hungary first European country to sign up for China Silk Road plan (Source)
The countries’ foreign ministers signed a memorandum of understanding for what is formally known as the “One Belt, One Road” project in Budapest, according to a statement on the Chinese foreign ministry website.
China welcomes more European countries to look East, and strengthen cooperation with China and other Asian countries, and participate in the “One Belt, One Road” in various ways, said Wang Yi, China’s foreign minister, according to a separate statement on the website.
President Xi Jinping said earlier this year he hoped annual trade with the countries involved in Beijing’s plan to create a modern Silk Road would surpass $2.5 trillion in a decade.
Hungary hopes to closely cooperate with China and push on with the Hungarian-Serbia railway and other major construction projects, Hungary’s President Janos Ader was quoted as saying by the Chinese foreign ministry.
China is helping fund and build a railway connecting Hungary and Serbia.
Projects under the plan include a network of railways, highways, oil and gas pipelines, power grids, Internet networks, maritime and other infrastructure links across Central, West and South Asia to as far as Greece, Russia and Oman, increasing China’s connections to Europe and Africa.

The US is playing with fire by instigating a military standoff off Russian and Chinese borders, while neither the South China Sea nor Ukraine can be considered America’s backyards; Washington needs to understand that neither Russia nor China will accept its vassalage status, according to the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.
- South China Sea not a US political playfield (Source)
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe recently said he would raise the issue of China’s construction work in the South China Sea at the G7 summit in Bavaria, Germany, on June-7-8. Before that, US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter had said China’s reclamation work in the South China Sea was “out of step” and required “an immediate end”, and threatened to send more US ships and aircraft to patrol the areas nearby, to which, Beijing responded saying Washington should adopt a responsible attitude and play a constructive role in the region.
China has been emphasizing that its construction work will help make navigation safer in the South China Sea. But instead of paying heed to China’s assertions, the US is tacitly supporting Vietnam and the Philippines in the South China Sea disputes because its intention is to contain China. No wonder, it has turned a blind eye to similar construction activities of Vietnam and the Philippines in the South China Sea for the past several years.
With Washington misjudging Beijing’s strategic intentions and calling it “aggressive”, Hanoi and Manila have taken an even tougher stance against Beijing. Because of a similar misjudgment, Washington stubbornly opposed the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for which it is likely to incur huge losses. And now it faces a similar situation in the South China Sea issue.
True, China has been following a more proactive maritime policy in recent years. But that doesn’t mean its defense policy has become aggressive. It has not raised any new maritime claims, for its policy is focused on responding to neighboring countries’ provocations, which include the “nationalization” of the disputed Diaoyu Islands by Japan and the attack on Chinese fishermen by the Philippines. Besides, China’s moves have been bilateral rather than unilateral in nature, as it seeks coordination with ASEAN member states.
China’s moves are aimed at thwarting the Philippines and Vietnam from further violating its territorial integrity and maritime rights. The small size of a country does not prevent it from using aggressive means against bigger countries – think about Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor that ultimately dragged the US into World War II.
The US has been accusing China of violating international laws. But the fact is, China has signed and ratified the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, something the US has refused to do for fear of losing its maritime primacy across the globe. More important, since the UNCLOS is not designed to solve historical or current sovereignty disputes, China has the right to refuse international arbitration in the South China Sea issue, which the Philippines has unilaterally sought.
As a matter of fact, if disputing states fail to reach an agreement or develop mutual trust, neither international law nor arbitration in the international court can settle the dispute. On the contrary, such an attempt could worsen the problem. For this reason China has always emphasized the importance of using bilateral means to settle a dispute between two states. For the same reason the US selectively ratifies international laws according to its own interests.
But when it comes to issues related to China, the US is misled by anti-China “experts”. By misjudging China’s strategic intentions, the US has already created enough obstacles for the healthy development of bilateral relations. And by thinking China is out to grab territories, which is impossible in today’s world of highly interdependent countries, the US is building more hurdles in bilateral relations.
But one thing is for certain, China is determined to safeguard its territorial integrity and sovereignty. And for that, it has the right to draw the red line.
The US should learn lessons from the failure of its covert involvement in the Syria and Ukraine crises. It must realize that there is always a price to be paid for intervening in other countries’ affairs, and South China Sea is not a good playfield for practicing power politics.

- The geopolitics of American global decline — Washington vs. China in the 21st century(Source)
It might have been the most influential single sentence of that era: “In these circumstances it is clear that the main element of any United States policy toward the Soviet Union must be that of long-term, patient but firm and vigilant containment of Russian expansive tendencies.” And it originated in an 8,000 word telegram — yes, in those days, unbelievably enough, there was no email, no Internet, no Snapchat, no Facebook — sent back to Washington in February 1946 by George F. Kennan, the U.S. chargé d’affaires in Moscow, at a moment when the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union was just gaining traction.
The next year, a reworked version of Kennan’s “Long Telegram” with that sentence would be published as “The Sources of Soviet Conduct” in the prestigious magazine Foreign Affairs under the pseudonym “Mr. X” (though it was common knowledge in Washington who had written it). From that moment on, “containment” of what, until the Sino-Soviet split, was called the Soviet bloc, would be Washington’s signature foreign and military policy of the era. The idea was to ring the Soviet Union and China with bases and then militarily, economically, and diplomatically hem in a gaggle of communist states from Hungary and Czechoslovakia in Eastern Europe to North Korea on the Pacific and from Siberia south to the Central Asian SSRs of the Soviet Union. In other words, much of the Eurasian land mass.
And then, when the Berlin Wall came down in 1989 and the Soviet Union collapsed and disappeared from the face of the Earth in 1991, that was that. Along with the former Communist world, containment as policy was dispatched to the dustbin of history — or was it? Strangely enough, as historian and TomDispatch regular Alfred McCoy points out today, if you look at Washington’s military bases (which, if anything, were expanded in the post-Soviet era), its conflicts, and the focus of its foreign policy, American attempts to “contain” the heartlands of Eurasia, especially Russia and China, have never ended. Given the passage of almost a quarter of a century since the Cold War era, the map of those garrisons and the conflicts that go with them still looks eerily familiar.
And here’s an even stranger thing, as McCoy again makes clear: the U.S. was not the first imperial power to put its energy into “containing” Eurasia. In 1945, when World War II ended with Great Britain and its empire hollowed out and in a state of exhaustion, the U.S. inherited a no-name version of “containment” policy from the British before Kennan even thought to use the term. It’s odd to realize that “containment” as imperial policy has a history that is now, in a sense, more than two centuries old. It’s strange enough, in fact, that McCoy turns his attention to the subject to help make sense of the edgy U.S.-China relationship for the rest of this century.

- Turkish Voters Slap Erdogan (Source)
Erdogan loses the parliament election in Turkey. With some 95% of the votes counted the results (seats) are:
- AKP 41.5% (261)
- CHP 25.3% (130)
- MHP 16.7% (84)
- HDP 12.0% (75)
Erdogans AKP lost nearly 9% compared to the last election. The Kurdish HDP jumped above the 10% limit and thereby prevents the AKP from ruling as the sole party. The AKP will have to arrange a coalition with the hard nationalist MHP to form a new government.
The reasons for the loss were the end of the credit fueled economic boom that the AKP had engineered since 2000. There was also a lot of infighting within the AKP and Erdogan’s policy of fueling the war in Syria is quite unpopular.
Any coalition government the AKP may arrange will likely be less aggressive than the current one. It is doubtful that the current prime minister Davutoglu, the very aggressive promoter of a new Ottoman empire, will keep his position.
Erdogan as a politician is now wounded and the AKP is weakened. This will lead to more infighting within the AKP and maybe even a split of the party into several fractions. In all this result will likely leave less capacity in Turkey for wide ranging geopolitical adventures.

- INF Threatened: Back to Worst Days of Cold War? (Source)
For America nuclear strikes against Russia are unthinkable anyway because it would guarantee a disastrous on response against the territory of the continental USA. The danger of miscalculations and miscommunications leading to all-out war will be immensely heightened.
Washington cannot present compelling evidence of the Russian violation, the United States could be seen by the world as the party that killed the INF Treaty. The U.S. military currently has no intermediate-range missiles ready for deployment at its disposal. Such missiles would take years to design and build taking funds from other pressing defense priorities. The implementation of plans would inevitably create political problems as the opposition will be strong in the countries to host the weapons. It makes the endeavor a tall order.
The whole thing has a certain Cold War ring. It would most certainly worsen the bilateral US-Russian relationship, which is already at a low point. It is bound to further complicate the prospects of additional reductions of nuclear weapons. The plans could hamper President Obama’s efforts to win congressional support for his Iran policy.

- Why Putin’s meeting with the Pope ruffled the West (Source)
Vladimir Putin and Pope Francis are popular figures who impact people’s thoughts, and their meeting in the Vatican represented a reunification of Western and Eastern worlds, Ukrainian journalist Halyna Mokrushyna told RT’s In the Now.
RT: Why did the US ambassador to the Holy See Kenneth Hackett call on the Vatican for a tougher stance on Russia ahead of Vladimir Putin’s meeting with Pope Francis? What would the Pope’s condemnation of Russia really change?
Halyna Mokrushyna: Because we should not forget that France and Italy, two members of the G7, are to a large extent, still Catholic countries, so the Pope’s condemnation of so-called “Russian aggression” would add to this mainstream popular narrative that Russia is an aggressor in this war and it’s important for the US to have the Catholic Church support it in that regard, in my opinion.
RT: What does it mean, in your opinion, if it doesn’t get this support of the Washington position?
HM: I think the Pope’s position is very moderate and temperate in this regard, because the church should stay out of this conflict. And that is the position also of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the so-called Moscow Patriarchate. I hope that Pope Francis will remain on this position because he is right: It is a civil war and the Church should not be involved in that conflict in a country like Ukraine where the religious cleavage is deep.
RT: The Pope always gets a lot of media attention, Putin gets a lot of media attention, and when you put two together it’s an immediate storm. Why is there so much attention from mainstream media?
HM: Because, as you said, the Pope is a very popular figure and Putin is a very popular figure. As I said before, the Pope is a representative of a very powerful social institution, which is the Catholic Church, so whatever he does or says has a big impact on people’s thoughts and Catholic parishioners across the world. Putin, of course, is the most popular leader, or one of the most according … to Time, so it is quite understandable. Especially the Pope represents the Western world, and Putin represents the Eastern world.
RT: Putin met with Italy’s Prime minister ahead of his visit to the Vatican where he was asked about Russia’s relations with the G7. The Russian President said that Russia doesn’t have any relations with the G7, and that it is not really an organization, but just a membership club. Why are we hearing this sort of rhetoric now?
HM: Because from what I’ve been following Russia really tried all the diplomatic means to solve this crisis. Russia used all platforms of international cooperation that are available out there and frankly it didn’t work, so that’s why we have this deep disappointment on Russia’s behalf. The G7 is about one unified position in terms of the war in Ukraine… [There are] complaints, I guess, because it comes from the realization that this is a group of countries who represent the same mono-polar world, and they don’t’ want to hear an alternative opinion.

The G-7 leaders issued a communique at the close of their summit at Adolf Hitler’s favorite Bavarian retreat of Garmisch-Partenkirchen that vilified China for its claims to islands in the energy-rich South China Sea. The G-7 leaders stated, «We strongly oppose the use of intimidation, coercion or force, as well as any unilateral actions that seek to change the status quo, such as large-scale land reclamation.» What the G-7 leaders failed to mention is that four members of the elite group, the United States, Britain, France, and Japan, have used proxies like the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan and the former Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) to fortify island possessions in the South China Sea. The G-7 statement was yet another display of the gross hypocrisy of the group as previously evidenced by their sanctions against Russia, Syria, Iran, and other countries.
President Obama in his military «pivot to Asia» seems to believe that an increased ground, naval, and air presence by the United States in East and Southeast Asia should go unnoticed by regional powers like China. China’s modest naval and infrastructure consolidation on the Paracels and Spratlys are a direct response to aggressive American moves in the region, a strategy that began in 1974 with the U.S.-backed South Vietnamese foray into the Paracels. Recently, a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon patrol aircraft flew over Fiery Cross Reef as part of a Pentagon policy of taking «concrete steps» in the region. If the amateur armchair generals and admirals in Washington and Honolulu are fretting over China’s increasing profile in the South China Sea, they have only themselves and their «concrete steps» to blame.
In order to have the capabilities, and the confidence to be able to blunt the strike of the ruling dynasty – The Final Clampdown, with all of its enormous organizational structure and might, and hope to win, there must have to be some very capable, experienced and well connected – rather, well entrenched, people at the core of the opposition.
The ruling Banking Clan certainly suspects that a number of Military Generals, Strategic Command Officers, Naval Commanders, trusted officers at various Intelligence Agencies, and a plethora of experts and scientists are at the core of the organization that forms this formidable opposition.
And, they are unable to find out their identities. They are removing and firing whomever they suspect. still, unable to figure out whom to trust. They are hesitant to move forward with their plan and spring the Final Clampdown. But, the clock is ticking for them, and the accommodations made with the Chinese government and the others are nearing their expiration.
The Ruling Banking Clan has to make its move. But, it is scared. It may well be its last move.

Changing horses in midstream was supposed to be a bad thing…
But we have the Obama imperialist side (Kerry) and the neocon ‘crazies in the basement’ side, grappling with each other as and semblance of coherent policy slides into a cesspool (where it belongs anyway). Just as incoherent as Porky-policy vs the Nuland nazis. They all have fighting oligarchs and such too. Free for all.
Seems Kerry is still around talking about Iran:

Liked this one – “Putin makes his first reference to DPR/LPR autonomy”
Interesting survey by pew.
http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2015/06/12/6-charts-showing-how-russians-see-their-country-and-the-world/
Very interesting poll.Only 32% think Donbass should remain with Ukraine. While taken together ,either join Russia or be independent, are 59%.I suppose 9% wouldn’t answer or had no opinion. The 59% is getting closer to the 2/3 majority that Putin likes to have before he acts.
Don’t you ever sleep baaz? How do mere mortals like myself get through the amount of info you have dredged up?
Good work and thank you.
Thanks Peter
I like doing this ..and 99% of the time it doesn’t effect my sleeping time or pattern..somehow i manage it ..even i dont know how

Google is nobody’s friend. They are the Government, the Tyranny.
DuckDuckGo, Yandex, Baidu, even Bing before Google.
Plus, demonstrably bogus search paths. They block and hide the true, useful, uncluttered, uncontaminated sources.
It’s been ten years since they are trustworthy.
Bing is Microsoft. What about Startpage and Ixquick ?
Leonid Bershidsky‘s “Why the West can’t wait out Putin on Ukraine” would have to contain the essence of the current program against Russia. (June 8, 2015) http://gulfnews.com/opinion/thinkers/why-the-west-can-t-wait-putin-out-on-ukraine-1.1531877
Bershidsky writes as if he’s being objective but is far from it. He seeks credibility by referring to “Chatham House, Britain’s Royal Institute of International Affairs, has published a 58-page report on ‘The Russian Challenge’ that’s full of excellent insights about the ideological roots, methods and economic peculiarities of President Vladimir Putin’s regime. I have found nothing to fault in the facts and analysis provided by the report’s experienced authors, including two former UK ambassadors to Moscow. “
Specifically, this caught the eye: “Broadly the West should rearm, counter Kremlin propaganda, strip Russia of political leverage in energy markets and maintain sanctions. By no means resume business as usual with Russia.”
The whole article verges on an ad hominem against Russia’s Vladimir Putin. While it helps to make sense of why the general Western mindset is so distorted on essential matters the whole thrust and tone is based on the fear and uncertainty of a system in decline.
Clearly, apart from this type of pretentious narrative, the facts on the ground indicate it is not the ‘West’ but only a certain ruling elite which is incapable of working with anyone to bring the new world into being – a world free of their criminal influence and ‘exceptionalist’ (read beyond the Law) control. Many people in the West simply don’t understand — largely because the contemporary main stream media is now a propaganda machine owned by this elite and directed to distort and undermine critical thinking capacities.
For example, here is a Ukrainian parody in action for what, writ large, is going on in the West to the drum-beats for war: Blue or Yellow, Bush or Clinton — you’re ‘free’ to pick your own part in the latest “Tragedy of the Commons” …. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiOWklD3n2U
Indeed Bershidsky‘s West does have some election challenges ahead with general economic stagnation and decline; high unemployment, and absurd youth unemployment which in other decades would be feeding revolution on the streets; and a largely rational-free policy zone. With Putin at around 80% approval rating in Russia (and probably many other places) all the West can dig up is a tired old re-run of the “Bush or Clinton Show”.
For example, here’s Hilary C. doing another ‘Obama Hope’ swindle on the voting mugs. Basically: do focus groups; get the vote-attracting narrative spin right; go on stage, sprout the usual crap and do the body-language thing; feed billions$ into the msm slot machine; order new curtains for the White House after current tenants are evicted; then carry on as ‘DC-normal’ for another 4-years.
Headline: “Clinton pitches to working Americans at presidential campaign rally”
“Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton promised on Saturday to fight for a fairer society for ordinary Americans, staking out a place on the left to cut off any budding challenge for the Democratic nomination. . . .”
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/06/14/us-usa-election-clinton-idUSKBN0OT06E20150614
While Putin and Xi (and other BRICS) get on with building the new ‘fairer’ world the mug US voters will be swamped with 12-months of 24×7 hypnotic electioneering crap which, irrespective of which hand of the USA ‘Business Party’ wins, will have a used-by date of no longer than 1-2 days post-election result.
One thing we can be sure of is this: in respect to a foreign policy perspective, what Clinton means by “a fairer society for ordinary Americans” entails a continuation of various TPP/TAA programs underwritten by a global hegemony centered on a military-industrial-congressional complex focused on maintaining the unfair US ‘exceptionalist’ doctrine.
If indeed there is a 2nd Coming due then it had better come soon or we are all doomed to endure a hell-on-earth for the next decade while the West changes its political jockey-guard and gets on with its demonstrably unfair ‘business-as-usual’ script.
I am convinced the observed stupidity out of the USA (from both politicians and general public) is simply a sign of the Empire coming to an end:
1. believing in their own BS
2. totally ignorant of rest of the world
3. fully convinced of their own “superiority”, or “exceptionalism”, including their own self-censored MSM.
4. continue to repeat the same over and over (bomb Iraq, Afganistan, Libya, etc) while expecting different results…
and so on
wow, it’s like a week’s worth of RI and fortruss plus all on one page. aggregating the aggregators.
There’s so much low-grade analysis about the US accidentally stumbling into open conflict, etc.
The junta shells Donbas not out of terrorism, but to prevent Donbas from putting them to shame in prosperity, order, etc, as it would naturally do, and destroying their myth of euro-superiority.
The US is clearly preparing for world war to fig leaf approaching economic breakdown.
The other major concern as I see it is Russia’s central bank, state banks, and HSE belonging to washington.
Yes that story of just a week ago put up yesterday about the RCB tossing billion $ derivatives dynamite openly back & forth with its bankster buddies in Germany serves as a reminder of how complicit & owned is the RCB.
The near future other deadline than the Jun30 supposed Iran P5+1 IAEA agreement (if it ever really passes–remember that the US Senatraitors have vowed to independently scrutinize it after-the-fact of any ‘deal’) is this huge date ca AUG 1/2015 whereby ALL EU banks must have bail-in provisions in place (to steal depositors’ money, pensions,…), or face extreme penalties!!.
Likely not by coincidence, this Aug1 will be right in the middle time of the long ‘Jade Helm’ exercise in the USA.
Hmmmm…containing spillover effects from an imploded bank system/holiday there, maybe?
So I suspect that they must & will keep string Greece & Uke along with agreements, bailouts, & whatever it takes till then.
http://beforeitsnews.com/foreclosure-gate/2015/06/why-is-the-eu-forcing-european-nations-to-adopt-bail-in-legislation-by-the-end-of-the-summer-2446776.html
Are they expecting something to happen? As you will read about below, the European Union says that any nation within the EU that does not enact “bail-in” legislation within the next two months will face legal action. The countries that are being threatened in this manner include Italy and France. If you fast forward two months from this moment, that puts us in early August. So clearly the European Union wants everything to be squared away by the end of the summer. Is there a reason for this? Are they anticipating that something really bad will happen in September or thereafter? Why such a rush?
We all remember what happened when major banks were “bailed out” during the last financial crisis. A tremendous amount of taxpayer money was given to the big banks to help prop them up so they wouldn’t fail. This greatly upset a lot of people.
——————-
The article “EU regulators tell 11 countries to adopt bank bail-in rules” reported how 11 countries are under pressure from the EC and had yet “to fall in line”. The countries were Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France and Italy.
Thank you Baaz – very full and comprehensive week overview.
The article entitled “Educated Ukrainians flee east Ukraine for new lives in Kiev” is very much a propoganda piece and maybe some of those “educated” people who fled will face up to a fascist state in Kiev or agree with them….

Israel to issue its own Gaza war report in advance of UN inquiry
The Israeli government is to issue a report on last year’s Gaza offensive on Sunday at 1100 GMT, pre-empting a UN war crimes investigation to be published later this month, Reuters reported. “Whoever wants to know the truth, let them read this report. Whoever wants to continue with baseless blaming of the state of Israel, let them waste time reading the report by the UN commission,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his cabinet, as cited by Reuters. Israeli’s two-month Operation Protective Edge took the lives of over 2,100 Palestinians, mostly civilians, while in Israel 67 soldiers and six civilians were killed.
Came a long way in 5 years–in early 2010 China openly & successfully tested that ballistic hypersonic naval anti- flotilla missile that all the usual bunch said they couldn’t possibly have built.
http://rt.com/news/267115-china-tests-hypersonic-missile/
The Chinese Defense Ministry confirmed the fourth test of a hypersonic nuclear delivery vehicle, which the US called an “extreme maneuver,” amid rising tensions between the two powers in the South China Sea.
The test of the hypersonic glide vehicle, which the US has dubbed the “WU-14”, was carried out on June 7 and is the missile’s fourth test in 18 months.
“The scheduled scientific research and experiments in our territory is normal, and those tests are not targeted at any country and specific goals,” the ministry said in response to a report published on Thursday by the Free Beacon.
The strategic strike weapon is extremely advanced and can travel at 10 times the speed of sound, or 12,231.01kph.
China has three strategic weapons to nullify or limit US offensive weapons.
The carrier killer missile. DF-21
The Satellite kinetic strike weapon. ASAT
This Hypersonic weapon. WU-14
All have been tested, in the arsenal for years (the Hypersonic not quite yet, but looking good so far).
Now the Chinese are MIRVing their nuclear warhead missiles. They will triple the warheads to 750.
And, from my research, I believe the Chinese have cyber weapons that are embedded in US infrastructure networks. Imagine no electric, water, gas and banking, shut by cyber weapon.
As the US hegemonic ring of iron surrounds Eurasia, threatening Russia and China, the two nations will work in concert on counter-measures.
The gang of hegemonic thugs in Washington and Brussels will soon see they have no way of winning any conflict.
There will be no picking off one or the other. And there will be no damaging them without an escalation that will end humanity.
For the next twenty years there will be a technological race with the US trying desperately to out- engineer Russia and China.
Anyone who looks at the the three educational systems, the three societies and the three economies understands that the US will not win that race.
China and Russia both understand that they can win without a war. The difficulty is in forcing the reality on the Hegemon that its time is over.
Thus statecraft and leadership are crucial. Luckily, we have two great leaders, President Putin and President Xi.
Today’s dose of Rooskie wry humor.
http://rt.com/uk/266758-prostitution-ban-fear-poverty/
Northern Ireland’s sex trade ban has left prostitutes in fear of “danger and poverty.” In an in-depth interview with RT, one sex worker challenged the idea of the law spreading to England, claiming “too many” influential people visit prostitutes.
Paying for sex became illegal in Northern Ireland under the Human Trafficking and Exploitation Act 2015 last week. Prostitutes who rely on their trade as a main source of income are now being forced to travel to work across the borders to survive.
Mr. Ed shows up finally, to talk.
Following a surgery on his broken right leg, US Secretary of State John Kerry says he is “hopeful” about nuclear talks with Iran, although this is the biggest challenge the Obama administration faces.
“I’ve never said optimistic. I’ve always said hopeful. I’m hopeful,” Kerry told the Boston Globe on Sunday.
“Could we get an agreement? For sure,” he said. “Could it fail? Yes.”

One of the indirect links above shows an article by Leonid Bershidsky of the Washington Post printed in Gulf News. A shallow shabby distorted propaganda piece in my opinion.
What’s interesting though is that at the time of my reading, the paper’s poll at the end of the article showed that 62% disagreed with it.
Perhaps there is some hope?
http://gulfnews.com/opinion/thinkers/why-the-west-can-t-wait-putin-out-on-ukraine-1.1531877
Perhaps this is the only way for us to counter the MSM propaganda, we should spend some effort in “disliking” such articles!

As TASS reported earlier the peninsula currently produces one fifth of energy consumed locally.

EU to Label Products Made in Illegal Settlements
IMEMC : The European Union (EU) will soon begin to mark the products of Israeli settlements, according to the Associated Press.
According to Al Ray, the EU had frozen its decision to put marks on settlements products under the pressure of the United States, in 2013, but this move was restored again and approved by 13 European countries.
That was fast!
same time as EU passed their vote simply requiring labelling of “israeli” origin goods sold in EU.
Note that the TTP/TTipp whatever one of the key features of the corporofascists was it would be law to remove all country-of-origin labelling, as well as any mention of whether food goods contained any GMO.
US House of Reps: Europe Can’t Boycott Israel
IMEMC : The United States House of Representatives has fast-tracked a bill regarding a free trade agreement between the US and Europe which would include a section barring EU countries from any form of commercial boycott against Israel and Israeli goods.
EU_ElectionAccording to the PNN, Israel’s Ynetnews indicated that two versions of the law had been presented to the House of Representatives and the Senate, clarifying that both versions included the section obligating EU countries to refrain from the boycott of Israeli products.

Apparently, China’s learned how to use Wikipedia in the Dashed Line Dispute by posting the original document drawn by Chaing Kai Shek’s KMT in 1947 and editing the item’s verbiage, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine-dotted_line#/media/File:1947_Nanhai_Zhudao.png
As with Iran’s nuclear plans started under the Shah satrap, China’s “Gangster” government (General Stimson’s descriptive term for the KMT and Chaing) plan for the region would probably have been promoted by the Outlaw Empire.
What is the US stance on Taiwan’s similar claim to the 9 dot line?
question should be “what was” as oppose to “what is”: at the time of Chiang Kai-Shek, US had NO OBJECTIONS…. Now that it is the PRC, NO NO NO!
Brilliant article from Engdahl on Sorosian machinations in the Ukraine (he’s after Naftogaz, via ‘big bang’ privatization.)
I didn’t know he essentially was behind the set
,up and staffing of the European Council For Foreign Relations (ring a bell?) This will be, along with the corrupt Commission the main means to force EU to back off BDS. The article lays bare his partnership with the Rots
childs – specifically Nathaniel. They are naturally anxious to ensure their Zionist fiefdom Israel continues to be profitable.
Plus, to make things even more surreal, Tony B Liar, noted war criminal has , along with some hand-picked rabbi, been appointed to ‘combat anti-semitism’ in the EU. Watch out for some ‘law’ being proposed that equates BDS with racism. (Russian sanctions are not of course. Even though the Russians didn’t massacre 2000 civilians last year.,)
