The Situation in Gorlovka, DNR
A few days ago we had some guests. One guest brought a friend with them, a person from a village near Gorlovka. At first the person was quite reticent about speaking of anything in front of me when the person understood very quickly that I was not Russian, I was from ‘the other side’. However, after I spoke to this person with VCO translating so nothing was misunderstood this person understood from my specific questions about certain areas in and around Gorlovka that I knew more of the real situation than most.
To be blunt the situation in and around Gorlovka is very bad. All day and all night, every day and every night, the Ukrainian artillery fires at random but specific targets. This fire is 24/7, day in and day out. The fire is not a true barrage of artillery like an all out attack would have, it is a shot or two at one village, than 10 or 20 or 30 minutes later a shot or two at another village near or far from the first target. This random artillery fire goes on from Sanzharivka on the extreme east of the Donetsk Peoples Republic (hereafter referred to as DNR) lines at the Lughansk Peoples Republic (hereafter referred to as LNR) western border all the way down to Sakhanka within 3 km. of the Sea of Azov coast. Look at this map: and you will see how long that line is and you will see how thin the DNR lines are compared to the Ukrainian lines.
The Ukrainian fire is directed at specific houses in each village, moving to another house after the targeted house is destroyed. They can, and do, go from house to house in a particular street and when all the houses on that street are severely damaged or destroyed they move to another street and start the process over again. Primary targets in a village at the start of the fire is infrastructure, gas lines, water pumping stations, electric transformers and in the case of flats buildings the above ground, as is normal, hot water pipes for heating of the flats buildings. Next is every shop, store, kiosk, petrol station, heating plant, government facility no matter what the size or function, electric substations and gas substations and pumping plants. Water purification facilities are of particular interest to the Ukrainians and these facilities get special attention.
Drones supplied by The United States of America and the Federal Republic of Germany are used as spotters to correct and direct this continuous artillery fire. Some are shot down by DNR forces and armed locals. This act is almost guaranteed to bring an immediate visit from OSCE, those worthies who are supposedly monitoring both sides to make sure they comply with the Minsk 1 and Minsk 2 agreements. More on OSCE later.
This person left their village near Gorlovka in summer of last year. This person has lost a bother, an uncle and a 17 year old niece. The brother and uncle fell the first summer of the war defending a village near Gorlovka after Strelkov retreated on 05 July 2014. The niece was killed in summer of 2015 in Donetsk City Proper, cut down by a random artillery shot directed at a large bus stop on the northeast side of the city. This person said the niece had to be identified via DNA analysis, there was not enough left of the child to recognize.
Many of the citizens of DNR have relatives on the other side of the lines and more than a few travel back and forth through the few open checkpoints to visit relatives and bring what food for them that they can spare. More often than not the Ukrainians take the food at the checkpoint and this person has witnessed personally incidents of citizen’s cars and trucks being summarily confiscated ‘for the war effort’ at the checkpoint. This person has also personally witnessed random civilians being arrested by the Ukrainians at the checkpoint on accusation of ‘assisting and abetting terrorists’. There is not a thing any of the civilians at the checkpoints can do, it’s like swimming in the ocean among a crowd of swimmers and the sharks take random victims at their whim. Some of the civilians seized at the check points, including very aged men and women, are eventually returned to DNR as captured soldiers in exchange for Ukrainian soldiers captured by DNR. Many of the seized civilians are never heard from or of again. At this time, 3 years in to the war, their fates are unknown.
This person has personally witnessed OSCE cadre at the checkpoints who say not a word as food, money and people are stolen by the Ukrainians. This person has witnessed, as this person said ‘much too often for it to be coincidence’, OSCE cadre visit a village or small town and within 10 minutes of OSCE departure Ukrainian artillery fire falls exactly where OSCE was in the village or town. No one trusts OSCE and almost everyone despises them with a deep passion. It is actually dangerous now for OSCE to visit certain virtually destroyed villages, the locals, who have often and vehemently complained to these OSCE cadre about the artillery fire, are firmly convinced that OSCE is simply a recon section of the Ukraine Army. This person spent 15 minutes telling me of incidents that this person personally witnessed of Ukrainian artillery fire hitting specific houses and flats that OSCE had just visited. This person’s own village is totally destroyed, every structure including the little dacha cabins at the private vegetable patches have been hit by Ukrainian artillery fire. Every street is destroyed, paved or dirt. Every electric line is destroyed. Every gas line is destroyed. Both of the water pumping stations are destroyed. The sewage treatment facility is flattened. Since the last house was destroyed OSCE has not been seen anywhere near this village, they are now visiting a village about 5 klicks from this village and the new visiting point is in process of being destroyed. A few people still live in this village, existing in the cold cellars most old houses have and a few have built rudimentary ‘structures’ from scrap wood salvaged from burned or blasted buildings and houses.
This destruction has been ongoing since late April of 2014. No matter what President Putin or Secretary of State Lavrov says to the signors of the Minsk 1 and Minsk 2 agreements, no matter what the elected leaders of DNR and LNR say publicly or privately, no matter what the citizens of DNR and LNR say, nothing stops this ongoing destruction. Nothing. Why is this?
I watched with both sorrow and disgust the aftermath of the terror bombing in Manchester, England last week. The entire world was pouring sympathy on the British citizens, mostly children, who were killed by the senseless act. World leaders sent their condolences to England, the ‘world’ news is still full of articles about the attack. Yet, this same tragedy is played out daily in DNR and LNR, in a week or two or three the numbers of innocent civilians killed and maimed in both republics amount to the numbers of dead at the Manchester concert bombing. No one says a word, no west media reports anything about this daily, weekly and monthly carnage. Why is this? Was my friend Juan correct in his assessment in summer of 2014 after the air attack in Lughansk when he stated that ‘europe’ and ‘us’ consider the citizens of DNR and LNR as untermenschen, subhuman?
As a result of these daily murders, and that is what the deaths of innocent civilians in cities, towns and villages that have precisely zero DNR and/or LNR soldiers or positions on location are, they are murders, here is a report from the person who spoke to me at length.
Citizens are becoming more strong, more determined, more angry with each day of the arty. Those who are faint of heart have already left long ago, running to safe haven either in Russia Proper or to Krim and Sevastopol, albeit most saying they will return when the war is over and take up life where they left it. Those who stayed say in essence ‘fat chance, you ran, you left us to do the fighting and dying and you think you will come back and your life will be as it was?’. Those who stayed are almost as angry at those who ran, especially the young men and women who can serve at least in some capacity even if it’s not in the line, as they are at the Ukrainians. What ‘the west’ has done is assure for a generation if not longer the undying enmity of the citizens of DNR and LNR and huge numbers of citizens of Russia and eastern Europe directed towards ‘the west’ with ‘the west’s’ open and blatant support of those very animals who are killing, wounding and maiming the innocent civilians of both republics.
Factual evidence of the Ukrainian Armed forces shelling the civilian areas of Donetsk and Lugansk republics
- 12 April ’16 Artillery starts 5 minutes after OSCE Hug leaves village.
- 26 December ’15, OSCE stopped from visiting shelled area.
- November ’15, OSCE visits area of shelling Donetsk area.
- 28 November ’15, Flats building burning, Donetsk area east.
- 14 January ’15, Donetsk east suburbs under Grad attack.
If the Ukrainians choose to attack either republic, and the reality is Ukraine has no choice but to do so, the soldiers, highly trained and equipped solders, of both republics will counter attack and will not stop until they have liberated all of both republics and I would not be surprised if they seize a significant buffer zone outside the borders of Novorossiya to assure that the Ukrainians can not bombard them again.

News In brief
June 7, 2017 – A session of the Contact Group on peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass has started in Minsk. According to the Press-Secretary, issues of prisoners exchange, ceasefire violations, disengagement of forces and facilities in Stanitsa Luganskaya (on the contact line between Ukraine and the Lugansk People’s Republic) were put on the agenda along with a disengagement of prohibited heavy weapons from the contact line.
June 7, 2017 The Ukrainian Armed Forces unsuccessfully attacked the Luganks republic near village Zhelobok.
The attack came in the wake of an attempt to get on the territory by a reconnaissance and sabotage squad, reported by LPR People’s Army spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko. According to his official statement:
“Ukrainian armed forces continue reconnaissance and sabotage activity along the line of contact. One of such raids took place outside of village Kalinovka, when unprofessional and ill-considered actions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces led to 10 enemy soldiers approaching our positions; People’s Army reacted immediately and suppressed the squad with retaliatory fire. Enemy’s losses amounted to two killed and six injured, who were left on the battlefield. The unit’s command tried to conceal this episode from its command. We call the so called ‘ATO’ command to show good will, to stick to international humanitarian norms, and to permit volunteers to take away the bodies and pass them to their families.”
Prior to their failed attack on July 7, the UAF targeted village Zhelobok with 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, recoilless guns (SPG) and automatic grenade launchers (AGS).

Was so glad to see Auslander’s name. Great article!
NATO has used OSCE as a cover for thier spies in the war against Yugoslavia, too. For example the head of the OSCE mission in Kosovo William Walker staged the so-called “Racak massacre” that was used as a pretext for NATO bombing. They also provided KLA terrorists with GPS equipment to mark targets for NATO bombers.
Yes,that GPS report was the most concerning part for me. If they can be caught doing that. The ones caught should be seized and tried in a LDPR court for it. Certainly the West would “scream bloody murder” over it. But that’s a time you say,”I don’t care, complain all you want to” .Try them and sentence them to prison terms. And announce that anytime you catch them working as spies for the Ukie’s ,those people will “also” be tried and imprisoned. Its way past time to not let the OSCE members be able to act against your people with impunity. And I don’t care if it upsets Moscow as well. They need to be told ,”pick a side. You are either on the side of “fellow Russians” or you are on the side of the enemies of Russians. And let those words be broadcast throughout the RF. Its time the “man on the street” in Russia takes a stand. And let their government know that you are tired of seeing Russians killed to keep relations with their enemies. We’ve seen Russians by their thousands come to Donbass to support their people. It might be time that they come to Moscow and let their voices be clearly heard in Red Square. Elections are coming up next year in Russia. The LDR and Communist parties have strongly supported Donbass (for different reasons in some cases .The same in others). Depending on the Russian governments actions towards Donbass. That could/should be discussed heavily in the upcoming election campaign.
As I write this, a family friend is visiting relatives in Belarus and Russia, and seeing first hand the memorials and effects of the Nazi invasion of those countries. My friends’ mother is a Russian who as a teenager was forcibly kidnapped into slavery by the Nazis to work in their labor camps and who eventually escaped from the labor camps, and made her way to Holland with a fellow slave laborer from Holland whom she married. I have heard bits and pieces of the mother’s story, and even though I haven’t watched it through myself you can see her tell her story on youtube by searching on “Rosa Gooch”.
How incredibly sad and stupid that what happened in Belarus and Russia in the 1940s, is still going on right now in the DNR and LNR, by the same stupid Nazi’s.
So now we know where the “White Tiger” (from the Russian movie of that name) is currently active.
Anyone in the shelling area using jammers to blind the drones?
Thank you, Auslander.
One understands the position of Russia. And one can only support Russia’s position – this can only change as the fundamental elements of global Geo-political equations change. This will all take time.
But, oh, how we long for Novorossiya to come into its full borders!
As usual, the bloody facts from Donbass don’t travel far or very high. But they are aching pains in the hearts of those who care. Monstrous ethnic cleansing, blatant murder, human rights and war crimes lost in the noise of geopolitics.
We wait for the fatal clash when the Army of Donbass and North Wind destroy the Kiev monstrosity.
Colonel Cassad has an article today on the attack on Groove.
http://colonelcassad.livejournal.com
This is the tragedy: a small piece of land in a big war of giants. The few that die seem to die with no connection to much of importance. But Russia must accept the losses and costs in order to win in the end. And Mother will win.
Donbass is not negotiable. It is sufferable, proving the strength of character of Russian people, Slavs of the Cross in particular.
It certainly looks like the Ukies have their confidence and will “go” at Donbass at some point the Hegemon needs them to be wiped out again.
They are nothing to the US hegemony but cannon fodder.
The goal is to mark Russia in a big conflict, big in news value. Hoping to tie up the Russian military in something that may crack the Donbass impasse but more, to last weeks for the propaganda value of demonizing Russia the aggressor.
The North Wind will have to be very large and very swift.
Auslander, as ever, your reports are most valued.
When you meet with the people suffering, send back to them that some of the world watches and prays for them.
We won’t let this rest in silence.
More confirmation of what I keep saying over and over again. The junta won’t stop until they are stopped. Now how can that be done? I can’t say what others would/should/could do. But I can tell you what “I” would do, if I was the relative of the murdered people.I would be forming partisan groups. To infiltrate the junta side of the border.Attack one by one those artillery sites, their supply lines, their ammo dumps, and the personnel operating them.We might not get all of them. But there would be a lot fewer “bad guys” around in the long run. And as for the OSCE thugs, they would be considered “enemy targets” just as any of the junta supporters would be.The fact that that isn’t being done, shows a massive problem in the Donbass defense structure. When you allow your family and friends to die without retribution, there is a problem. And no I don’t want to hear about the “geopolitical” situation, and fear of NATO. When its a slow drip ,drip, death for you, your family, and friends, those issues are way, way, back of your concerns.Striking back to stop those attacks is “number one” on your list of concerns.
You are totally right. The junta will never stop killing unless the DNR and LNR stop them.
I started thinking the same thing as Uncle Bob, here.
On the basis of this article, I’d suggest keeping a very detailed log with times, pictures and OSCE involvment. Then I’d intercept a car load of OSCE artillery spotters and force them out at gunpoint. Then I’d riddle the car on video and produce a documentary of why this is being done. The OSCE would be allowed unharmed to walk back or arrange for pick up by their Western/Ukie sponsors.
The coverage would be initially damaging of course but it would shed light on the civilian killing grounds used by the west in a proxy war against Russia. Currently there is a virtual blackout and what little news there is allowed out finds itself turned on its head.
The west is winning the propaganda war and has managed to get away with blatant racism against eastern Ukrainians (renamed Russian rebels) and Russians. It doesn’t have to be this way and these dirty vitriol tricks can be turned against them.
Western media has perpetrated the shabbiest distortion of truth in history in regard to Ukraine/Russia/Syria and they should answer for that.
“Drones supplied by The United States of America and the Federal Republic of Germany are used as spotters to correct and direct this continuous artillery fire. More on OSCE later.”
Reminds me of the standard KFOR response to the murder of Serbs by Albanians in Kosovo.
KFOR would conduct an immediate weapons search of all Serb households in the vicinity but ignore the Albanian ones.
How long will this injustice go on ?
Why do so much people have to keep dying and why do the survivors have to live in this situation?
Why doesn’t Russia send its forces in and annex these areas ?
Who is more closer to Russia? Syria or the people of Donetsk and Lughansk ?
How long will regional and world super powers watch as the Western-Zionist alliance keeps raping the innocent people of the world?
I do not blame the enemy….he wants to kill and destroy without moral or conscience….I blame the others who watch and observe and do nothing or are too afraid to stand up and sacrifice to protect others from the enemy…..that is until it is too late and their time will arrive.
As I’ve suggested before, one practical action might be for Russia to declare a protectorate over the Donbas republics, while explicitly recognizing them as a permanent part of the Ukraine, until such time as the current Minsk agreement is fulfilled, or a new one is negotiated by the parties concerned. Russia could announce as part of the protectorate, that all artillery, air, and other military strikes on the protected area will be met with instant retaliation from Russian territory, or from the Donbas republics if so requested, sufficient to prevent attacks in the future. The U.S. and its clients would undoubtedly weep and wail, even threaten to impose more meaningless sanctions (which benefit Russia in general as a tariff would), but IMHO couldn’t do much more than they are doing now. Better to be hanged for a sheep as a lamb, and at least the shelling would stop, as soon as the Russians retaliated the first time.
“This person has witnessed, as this person said ‘much too often for it to be coincidence’, OSCE cadre visit a village or small town and within 10 minutes of OSCE departure Ukrainian artillery fire falls exactly where OSCE was in the village or town”
Jam all transmissions, intercept the OSCE artillery spotters and ‘invite’ them back to the village they just left so they can get a taste of their own medicine.
True tragedy. The worst scum takes on civilian targets. No doubt, strategy from our “western partners” books. This slaughter must be stoped, once for all. There is no way to negotiate or reason with these butchers, and they will not stop until they get proper medicine.
This madness will not end until there is regime change in Kiev. Russia should provide heavier weapons to the DPR/LPR, including aircraft. The DPR/LPR forces need to be provided with enough equipment to not only beat back junta invasions, but ultimately to liberate the rest of the country, or at least the rest of the southeast.
I very much feel the frustration of many of you about the situation in Novorossiya. There is no inaction on the part of those who are in support of Novorossiya and all the two new republics mean to the world but as the person whom I spoke to said, ‘We have no more tears, all we can do is fight, all we can do is endure our daily tragedies of dead men, dead women and dead children, all we can do is wait for the day when the restraints are taken off our soldiers and they are allowed to free our countries once and for all. We know that day will come.’
I do know that the names of every orc who pulls a lanyard or fires at DNR/LNR, every ‘adviser’ from US, Canada, Germany, Poland, France, UK, Prebaltica, and many other countries, every single adviser who is illegally helping Ukraine in this ongoing tragedy and committing war crimes each and every day and many actively participating in hostilities, each and every one of them and the names and service informations of their senior officers who illegally ordered them in to the war in Novorossiya, their information is known and being carefully recorded as to each and every illegal action they take. The day will come when retribution is visited upon them. All of them.
Until that day comes all I and mine can do is wait and endure in our hearts and minds the tragedies visited upon our loved ones, our friends and comrades serving Novorossiya.

From Gaza to Gorlovka
Ukraine escalates an armed conflict in Donbass 3697 Views 21 Comments June 07, 2017 /ukraine-escalates-an-armed-conflict-on-donbass/.
With all eyes on Manchester and the attacks on London Bridge and Borough Market, nobody seems to give a tinker’s cuss about the Donbass. Reading this report by Auslander on the desperate situation in the DNR, I was struck by similarities between events there and what befalls one tiny corner of Palestine.
Is there a pattern behind the utterly senseless waste of life and resources, as Kiev systematically destroys village after village with shellfire, rocket artillery and mortar rounds ? Maybe one answer lies in various Talmudic texts as well as in passages of the Torah, notably in Deuteronomy and Joshua. After Palestine, the Ukraine has become the second stomping ground for messianic judaism – essentially a political project. In that sense what is being inflicted on Gorlovka is identical to what the IDF seeks to accomplish in Gaza, What looks like sheer spite or spontaneous and gratuitous cruelty could be the result of people taking a leaf from the Jewish bible.
Washington’s “Man in Ukraine”, according to Eric Zuesse, Ihor Valeriyovych Kolomoyskyi is one of several business oligarchs with Jewish parents who plays a central rôle in the European Jewish Parliament / Union and allegedly commissioned the 2 May 2014 massacre in Odessa through the militia he financed and bussed in.
One can argue the toss about the Mediterranean, Turco-Khazar and Slavic origins of Ashkenazi Jews re : the much disputed conversions of Khazars from Tengrism to Judaism, Christianity and Islam and the roots of yiddish : perhaps in North-Eastern Anatolia. There are well established cultural historical ties between Ukraine and Ahkenazim, culminating not least in today’s traffic in human organs and body parts of which the Israeli-led mafia provides a hub.

The suffering of villagers like those in Gorlovka is disturbing to me. Targeting civilians with artillery is a particularly sadistic and cruel tactic. The systematic destruction of individual homes, streets, and neighborhoods indicate that the Ukrainians are using predetermined firing positions. Evidently the militias of the DPR and LPR are not able to penetrate the Ukrainian line of contact in order to gain intelligence on where the personnel and weapons are stationed. But the Ukrainians must not be allowed to fire their artillery with impunity.
The Donetsk and Lugansk militias need to acquire the equipment and the techniques necessary to perform effective counter-battery fire. Basic geometry and time measurements -using technology developed about a century ago, and accelerated by modern communications and computers- could enable the militias to effectively suppress these artillery attacks on Gorlovka and elsewhere.
The Taliban and ISIS fighters have created networks of spotters to look out for drones. I imagine that the militias in Lughansk and Donetsk could do the same. Low-flying drones and aircraft can be disrupted by mortar fire, set to explode at various altitudes, using both high explosives rounds and smoke (flares at night).
However it is to be done, the civilian population must see that their soldiers are fighting back.
Reminds me of situation in Kashmir. The most heavily militarized region in the world….the whole valley was on strike for more than six months last year. Every month civilians are killed and women raped by Indian armed forces.
And not a word from the media anywhere in the world. All these people want is the right of self-determination, a referendum same as in Crimea.
But the patience and steadfastness of DNR and Kashmir people will eventually pay dividends. It is only a matter of time. Human spirit cannot be broken down by force.
In the comfort and safety of my home in a farway place, I could say that the plight of the Donbas is not my concern but, as a human being, I feel the pain, anger and frustration of the people whose dear ones have died or been maimed by the cruelty of their Ukrainian brothers in a senseless murder campaign instigated by the evil politicians and generals from Kiev to London, Paris, Berlin, Ottawa and, the main villain of all, Washington.
There is on my computer screen a little portrait of Polina from Konstantinovka killed two years ago under an Ukrainian tank. A horrific act typical of the barbarity of this conflict to remind me daily of the huge crimes against humanity committed by repulsive politicians who enjoy playing their strategic games by sending their thugs disguised as soldiers and “advisors” to war and mayhem. They are all guilt and should be condemned as Hitler, Churchill, Truman, etc. etc. etc. and the current breed of that hideous class of lowlifers whose crimes cry out for revenge. Yet, they lead peaceful and successful lives and die of natural causes, often honoured as statesmen and heroes. I accuse, not only the main and active evildoers responsible for this tragedy, (the Nulands, Obamas, Hollandes, Merkels, Camerons, Poroshenkos. etc. etc. etc.) but also the enablers and contributors starting with the Russian contingent from the recent past (Gorbachev and Yeltsin) as the root cause of the Donbas calamity, to which I should add Khrushchev (the Ukrainian nasty who gifted Crimea to Ukraine) and even the present crop dwelling at the Kremlin who treat the lives of the people of Novorossyia as expendable victims of a game of chess. There is no excuse – they are tainted with the blood still flowing out of the veins of the innocent and suffering people.
Above all, I accuse the one person who, alone, has the power to stop the bloodshed in Donbass and you all know who.
Welcome back Parfois, ( the Rings of Kerry are beautiful ) I understand your concerns and I share them. Thanks to Auslamder, we can have again a better picture of the realities on the ground in the Donbass, to reinvigorate the main purpose of this site. When I come here for the first time, was because of the war in Dobass, meanwhile, many things have happened since and we almost forget the most vulnerable and painful wound for Russia. There is always the word “time” when it comes to this issue and “be patient” is the other one. I’m waiting for that time and try hardly to be patient.
“A European Defence Fund: €5.5 billion per year to boost Europe’s defence capabilities
Brussels, 7 June 2017
.
Today the Commission is launching a European Defence Fund to help Member States spend taxpayer money more efficiently, reduce duplications in spending, and get better value for money. Announced by President Juncker in September 2016, and backed by the European Council in December 2016, the Fund will coordinate, supplement and amplify national investments in defence research, in the development of prototypes and in the acquisition of defence equipment and technology.
Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness Jyrki Katainen said: “People across Europe are worried about their and their children’s security. Complementing our cooperation with NATO, we need to do more and better ourselves. Today we are showing that we walk the talk. The Fund will act as a catalyst for a strong European defence industry which develops cutting-edge, fully interoperable technologies and equipment. Member States will remain in the driving seat, get better value for their money – and ultimately see their influence increased.”……etc etc

As Anders Åslund points out, Russia’s war in the Donbas has cost Ukraine at least six billion dollars in foreign direct investment, starving the economy of the capital it needs to grow and innovate. To counter that deficit, the EU should use the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to invest directly in Ukrainian firms and infrastructure. Many European countries also have export credit agencies that could guarantee their firms’ investments in Ukraine, which would encourage European companies to invest there.
One obvious region that would benefit from this strategy is the Donbas. Large parts of the region’s infrastructure lie in ruins, and capital is desperately needed to rebuild it. The Donbas oblast’s reformist first deputy governor Evgeniy Vilinsky remains committed to reconstructing his region in a transparent and corruption-free manner, making him an ideal partner for the EU. Other EU funds could meanwhile be targeted to small and medium enterprises. As a recent EIB study noted, seventy percent of employees in registered businesses work for small and medium-sized businesses, but access to financing is one of the sector’s biggest obstacles to growth. Helping them obtain this financing would therefore directly contribute to Ukraine’s economic growth.

“The encouragement provided to Ukraine for its uncertain EU prospects by both the EU and Germany under Chancellor Angela Merkel is preventing the full implementation of the Minsk agreements on Ukrainian reconciliation, Beatrix von Storch, a member of the European Parliament for Germany’s right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, told Sputnik.
BERLIN (Sputnik) — The German chancellor paid an official visit to Kiev in late January followed by a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in late March in Malta, where Merkel stressed Ukraine’s importance for Europe. During the early April phone conversation between Merkel, Poroshenko, and French President Francois Hollande, the European Union leaders expressed their support regarding the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukrainians.
“The EU is enabling Ukraine to refrain from fully implementing the Minsk agreements. Both the EU and Ukraine know that if Minsk II was fully implemented, the autonomy it provides to the Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts [regions] would hinder Ukraine’s continued integration in the West. Implementation of the Minsk agreements cannot be achieved as long as Merkel continues to implicitly dangle the ever so feint prospect of EU membership to Ukraine,” von Storch said….”

Auslander
Thank you for this update that you have written – really brings home the true situation in Donbass. It’s is hard to read but you have supplied information about the reality for the people struggling their
So where are fake humanitarian Angelina Jolie and propagandist George Clooney with their movies and documentaries??
In any case, I prefer Auslander with his stark assessment based on reality. All those children..the war will become part of them, especially that injured little boy Vlad whose mother was killed.
A word of advice to grown-ups dealing with children in a war zone: whether it’s your own children or grandchildren it is important that you don’t lie! “Everything will be fine” when bombs are flying around you is NOT reassuring. In fact it’s even more alarming because your child wonder why you are so disconnected to reality. It’s much better to tell them life is hard, this is going to be tough and that they need to be strong. I will pray for strength and comfort to the children of the Donbass.
A long overdue reminder of the horrors being endured by the people of Donbass.
Sickening, heartbreaking and enraging by turns to read..
Thank you for not sparing the grim details, Auslander, and for continuing to shed a light on this dark corner the MSM conspires to hide.
The Day of Reckoning can’t come too soon.
I have tried to post a link to this excellent article several times on the Kremlin Stooge site, without success. My guess is that there is a block on the article somehow.
Thanks for writing this.
I do have faith in Putin’s team: Shoygu, Gerasimov, Lavrov and many, many others. This is not the struggle for Donbass, Syria, and energy only. This is much, much bigger. Bear in mind that this struggle, against Western usurious fascists and their collaborators, has to end differently from the previous one, with no hope of another or alternative resurrections!
Being considerably weaker in men, money, media, material resources, as Saker explained rather well several times in the past, Putin and his team are most likely pursuing 21-st cent. novel strategy with some Kutuzov elements from 1812 (delay, maskirovka, area denial). So far, it works exceedingly well, I think. Yes, many lives are lost, and I can’t tell you how angry and sad I am, again after so many years [I lost older sister, grandmother, grandfather, uncles and more than 60 other family members during WWII]. Still, I firmly believe that Putin’s approach is a correct one, right now. Note the careful avoidance of almost all traps, keeping your enemies close, ‘friends and partners’ even closer, magnificent defensive strategy (saving a lot more lives, his own and even enemy’s!) with some surprise aikido moves that restrict opponent’s choices. I have never seen before such level of coordinated and synchronized political, military and economical-financial planning. Perhaps, I am a bit exaggerating as all I’ve got is a fraction of true information, and the errors committed are carefully hidden (as they should be). Also note a surprisingly muted comments, almost silence, that followed murder of several Russian ambassadors. Do not think, even for the moment, that RF and Putin just ignored it or gave it only a superficial treatment.
Also note that Putin is not, repeat not, fighting USA or UK or Germany or KSA or Ukraine. People and legitimate governments of these countries are not the real enemies, no matter how repulsive (e.g. Poroshenko and KSA) they may be. They are his partners, friends and colleagues, exactly as he addresses them, to the extent that they want to join the same struggle against deeply embedded usurious and criminal structures destroying these nations. Most of them can’t for number of reasons. He had the same problem in RF, but it is now much milder than it was in early 2000.
The enemy is diffused all over the world: usurious banking oligarchic structures, resource thieves, massive polluters, narco and human traffickers, supported by fascist, slave and vassal structures.
Even within BRICS. They exist even in RF, although in a much lower concentration. You don’t, and can not, fight these with military means only. I am convinced that Putin understands what is at stake, has team with similar understanding and commitment, and are continuously checking and rechecking their’s and opponent’s moves. Donbass and Syrian lives are terribly tragic and they will “come back” in a future Nuremberg-like process, which I hope Putin is preparing with all the diligence of an accomplished criminal lawyer. This is what really frightens fascists, not their miserable lives, but gigantic reparations in trillions of rubles and renminbis, not $/Euros.

‘I think you are dreaming if you believe the archcriminals of this world are likely to hang, guillotined or shot on a sentence from a Nuremberg-type court for their wicked deeds. Not even their political puppets, a.k.a. leaders, who pose on the stage to befuddle the unwashed masses will meet their deserved punishment.
The state is gradually grabbing all the instruments and machinery of absolute power where dissent, let alone rebellion, will be crushed mercilessly and the populace cowed into submission as a condition of survival. New intrusive information and surveillance technologies are already operating and the marriage of the state with cybercontrollers will ensure no one will escape their net and grip. Cashless transactions are becoming the normal and very soon the bankers will assume complete control over peoples lives once cash is banned. It is happening before our very eyes now.
Compared to the absolute monarchs of the past, the coming autocracy is a gargantuan leap into full spectrum domination because the new technologies enable the concentration of all tools of oppression and control in a single entity, a capacity unknown and unreachable in past generations.
And don’t believe either that “democracy” or the “constitution” will come to the rescue of the plebes, who will be total powerless to prevent anything. Witness how easy it is for the state to declare a state of emergency, suspend any civil rights and nudge towards martial law – all it takes is to train a patsy, contrive an “act of terrorism”, et voila you are in the slammer or on the way to meet your maker.
Thx A for compiling this info together. Your description of how the ukronazis are methodically destroying villages reminded me of the Jew zionazi destruction of Palestinian villages in occupied Palestine after the zionazi jew invasion. The sods completely destroyed the Palestinian villages. This looks like a modification of that zionazi Jew war criminal policy adapted to fit the situation of the israeli war of aggression against the Ukraine people, as part of their war of aggression against Russia.
It looks like Ukraine may soon be getting more help, perhaps even arms, from a country its oligarch President Petro Poroshenko once described as ‘the country most like Ukraine’ – Canada. Its new foreign minister, Chrystia Freeland, a fervent Ukrainian ultranationalist, was described as ‘our woman in the Canadian cabinet’:
The Militarization of Canada: Chrystia Freeland’s Budgetary Coup
https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/06/09/the-militarization-of-canada-chrystia-freelands-budgetary-coup/
“The arrogance of power could scarcely be more dramatically demonstrated. It seems clear that Chrystia Freeland is driving this militarization of Canada. It’s not about defence. It’s about war…”
Glad to see you are still writing and doing well. I wish I could say something on other forums but I am banned. Oh well.
Thank you for this writeup. I would wish these write-ups would get to the western audience but they brush it off. I will keep forwarding this as best as I can.
