Dear friends,
[This is yet again a post which 90% of you can ignore and which is directed at a most annoying 10% who mistake this blog for a kindergarten. No need to point finger – we all know who is who. Anyway, here goes:]
Over the past couple of days, when I looked at the comments section I have felt quite dismayed by the level of hostility which some of you have for each other. I should tell you that as soon as I move this blog to the new server there will be a new set of strict rules for comments. Anonymous comments will still be allowed, but I will ruthlessly impose the following rules:
1) all comments must add something substantial to the conversation. No more comments like “hell yeah!!” or “that is stupid”. Unless it adds substance, it goes to /dev/null.
2) all comments must be respectful to everybody: author of the post, moderator, fellow posted and myself. Forgive me for saying so, but I am sick and tired of the level of nastiness some thread reach. Any form of disrespect anywhere in a comment and the full thing goes to /dev/null.
3) absolutely no more labeling. No more “troll”, “zioboy” or other labels. If you disagree with somebody, explain why with facts and logic. Let me deal with “trolls”.
4) absolutely no CAPS. Capital letters are considered as YELLING. So don’t.
There will be other rules, but the ones above are just the basic requirements of “savoir vivre” which, to my great regret and frustration, some of you clearly need guidance with.
Right now, I have neither the time, nor energy, nor software to enforce these rules, but I would consider it as a personal favor if you all already decided to abide by them. I will try my best to enforce them starting now. But yes, those of you who are dead-set on picking a fight with each other might escape my vigilance and so will avoid my friend /dev/null for a while longer, but in less than a month you will have to go and spew your vitriol elsewhere.
So why don’t you start behaving like adults now?
Thanks,
The Saker
PS: here is a rule of thumb you might want to consider: if you see that I did not let your comment through, ask yourself which of the above rules it violated. Kuz it did.
Well done I agree, if we want to send an example that all of nations and religions can leave together like a civilized people we should start imediately.
Humanity unfortunatelly because of the societies manipulation became with out any consideration, respect and humility / see the ongoing wars / everyone is trying to hang on to the survival mode.
This survival mode was prepogramed for us to spread the hatred and intolerance because where two are figting the third is just laughing on the mysery of these two.
All of us as a human beeings we have the same head, same ears, same legs, same hearth, same hands we are just different by the color which was proved by the sience that nations moved towards the noth were using diferent style of food less exposure to the sun and that was the reason skin was more white and this is absolutely no reason to hate each other.
All of us we should cherish each other and love each other, help each other as much we can and this is the only and only power what we can held and harnes against the Satanic Empire whos role is just to divide us and conquer us for ever.
It is on us if we are going to continue to play the game prescribed for us by the Uncle Sam or we will change this course to lift the humanity to the much higher and more prosperoius level as we are right now, because we have these capacities in abundance. There is the very old proverb “How goes around, it comes around” Let the evil get, what he was asking for.
Love, compation and peace for everyone on this beautiful earth.
Excellent, Saker. Bring it on pronto!
i hope the action of posting a comment is cleaner and more obvious. Right now, it’s not clear if a post has been successfully made. (.. or maybe it’s just me)

This is on Gaza:
Gaza conflict: eyes that symbolise suffering of children
In Gaza’s rubble, with the families who live there
Norman Finkelstein on Gaza conflict, Hamas goals and Iron Dome myth
The first two are emotional videos. The last is good.
Why not create a forum and direct all this conversation there? People can register and post. You can open a new thread with every article for discussion and people can discuss other topics as well. It is easier to moderate if you give some people you trust moderator powers. I’m sure there are people here able to help you setup something like that.
I agree with keeping comments civil. But I hope there will not be a significant change of format. Many blog sites would be envious of the huge volume of comments Vineyard of the Saker draws.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
@C Stegiel (cont from last thread)
Suppose it is true that the fall of the USSR was a deception.
Well — yes. It’s true, in a way.
The same type of person always ends up at the top of any hierarchical pyramid. Havel, Merkel, Gorbachev — all are peculiar members of the human species who priviledge their own position, status, etc., over everyone and everything else. For these people, mass deaths are an abstract question to be considered from afar. They have all been working hard to convince the rest of us to think this way and their final victory seems to be the creation of the proverbial Western Man and Woman. Even when poor this person believes they are exceptional and chosen by god. It will all be short lived (Western thinking) because everyone can’t be Chief. Some of us have to be Indians or, sooner or later, the whole thing comes tumbling down. I remember thinking this when it was impossible to organize my fellow classmates to play a game in grade school. None of my fellow classmates could accept subsuming themselves to the group enough for us to play a simple game. 30 years on this is exactly how our ruling class operates. No one and everyone is in charge and the result is things start breaking down. Immigrants are invaluable to the West because they don’t yet think this way.
The trick is to know these people (those who will rule), how they think and make sure they are actively opposed, punished and/or destroyed when necessary — before they destroy us. In an age of unprecedented technological power, they have ceased to be controllable because they have managed to concentrate all of that power and use it to hunt down the demons and monsters that haunt their own peculiar psychological type.
Our elites are the same elites we’ve always had from a sociological and possibly from a genetic perspective but their unprecedented ability to concentrate power has turned them into a cancer — literally — the social manifestation of carcinogenic thinking.
They are like a cancer cell that becomes dangerous to the organism it inhabits by priviledging its own existence over that of the host. If left on their own, so empowered, they will kill themselves and everyone else.
Ask yourself: why does the same scum always rise to the top and how will we break or at least account for this cycle.
Questions of whether Putin is a co-conspirator with the Anglo-Zionists come up all the time. These questions are necessary but we don’t need to refer to some great alien conspiracy to recognize that the interests of all ruling class types are usually more in sync with each other than are the interests of the vast majority.
Putin is one of them but I still support him because his actions demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to all people, not just those who see themselves as superior. Ultimately, I believe, he takes the idea of noblesse oblige more seriously than anyone. We can sympathize with this perspective if we accept the antithesis in any large society can only be mob-rule.
If you think about it, Putin has a messianic or Christ-like way of going about his business. This is not because he is crazy but rather because there is a well-worn cultural pattern and a path that anyone seeking to reform the ‘system’ must take in order to be successful. Our cultures in all Christian, Muslim, Jewish societies — all of them — are basically the same. All are descendants of the Semetic-Greek-Roman belief systems that have dominated, spread and consumed most of the world.
Part II
In a way, Putin must play the role of Christ against the chosen, pious and pure would-be Josephs who rule this world. He wins not because of what he does in Novorussia or Syria but because he undermines his enemies from within. He reminds them (the Anglo-Zionists, Israelis, Saudis and so on) that they are all basically on the same side and for this reason they need to work together and stabilize the world.
Against him are the Samson option junkies of the West and their various assorted satraps who have come to power lying, cheating, stealing, murdering and for whom a reckoning of any kind would be a disaster.
I looked at a Bloomberg article about the Ukraine crisis lately and the comments section was appalling. Very depressing indeed. Well done for trying to enforce a civil and informed debate.
@Saker,
Thanks fot the update and wise words of advise, we could all use a bit ‘o common sense and apply our critical thinking skills to a great advantage if we so choose. The position and efforts you have undertaken is already burdensome enough without us f’ing it up. Thanks to you, many of us have found each other in the Vineyard and while we may disagree on some rather trivial matters, we agree on the main topics and issues that we are facing collectively. Thanks again, we may not “know” each other in the physical sense, bug we have come to know each other in a moral/spiritual sense.
@Anonymous 20:22,
The concept you propose is more difficult than it seems. There are many incompatibility issues as well as security vulnerabilities that present themselves when attempting to merge a blogsite with articles/pages and a forum/message board. It is possible, but ig is rathdr time consuming and really cost prohibitive, especially for small independent groups. The big guns withon the MSM and their funders make easy prey out of such endeavours with bots, script injections and their endless troll armies, just to name a few. To do what you propose would also require a very secure and dedicated server with a trustworthy host that can assist in combating the ptb, not to mention the legal representation that may be required.
Not to say it is impossible but these costs, once again, are very cost prohibitive and would require a huge committed financial backer/investor that is not looking for a return on investment. Sadly our fundamentally flawed capitalist system frowns upon unearthing the skeletons that may eventually come back to haunt them. Hopefully that short summary makes some sense.
That being stated a few of us are attempting to round up some folks and assets to put together a multiple use broad topic forum, but it will be quite some time before things get etched in stone…
Off topic.
Visited your site as I expected you to have something about the supposed (?) “humanitarian intervention” by Russia. NBC NEWS claims the following:

Russian ‘Humanitarian’ Efforts in Ukraine Illegal: World Leaders
The U.S., with Britain and Germany, expressed “grave” concern Saturday about reports that Russian forces had crossed the border with Ukraine in what Moscow called a “humanitarian intervention.” The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and called for “urgent measures for preventing an impending humanitarian catastrophe in south eastern regions” of Ukraine. The statement said that “John Kerry confirmed such work is being carried out with the Kiev authorities,” according to Reuters.

At first reading I wondered if this was the lead up to a future claim by the Ukraine that thousands of Kiev troops have gone missing because Russia crossed the border.
Do comments about comment policy and practice at The Vineyard of the Saker get posted if they disagree with the host’s actions, writings and views and at the same time, are not coming from a pro-zionist pov?
Dear Saker,
I have not tried posting here for months, although I read this blog every single day, because none of my comments were ever posted. No idea why. I didn’t violate any rules.
So, I gave up.
Although I had some very interesting points on the Ukrainian situ to post from my contact in Moscow.
No need to post this. Just saying.
And, as others have noted (their comments got through!!), it is impossible to tell whether one’s comment has actually gone through or just disappeared into cyberspace. For example, this comment is sitting here in a box, going nowhere, although I have clicked on “submit” a couple of times. ???

OK Saker
Now it’s my turn.
I’m Brazilian, you know, until I sent my picture, I am adept at BRICS.Se you saw the picture or not, your problem.
I am quick and concise commentator.
Write in Blogs from dial up to 286 processor.
Decrease the number of comments in view of other commentators who write a “brick” – a huge text.
Pseudo intellectuals.
This breaks the spine of anyone who tries to read a text building.
It seems to me people who are used to writing letters, is not used to the speed in Network and has no notion of express / squeezing feelings in a concise text.
The people who write here seems to be talking to French philosopher, write difficult way to understand, do not explain what they are thinking.
Another thing that happens is the delay between the time you post, and view the written text.
Well, unburdened.
Saker, I’m sorry but this is what I see.
Kind regards.
Alexandre (Proftel)

Que saco! Onde está o comentário que fiz a meia hora atrás?
“1) all comments must add something substantial to the conversation. No more comments like “hell yeah!!” or “that is stupid”. Unless it adds substance, it goes to /dev/null.”
I often write a thank you comment after posts where I don’t have anything knowledgeable to add to the article’s subject, or the discussion in the comments, but still want express thanks and encouragement to the article writer for all the work they have done researching and writing it.
Will such comments be not allowed now, since they don’t really add anything of “substantial to the conversation” and are much like saying “hell yeah”?
вот так
@Anonymous: But I hope there will not be a significant change of format. Many blog sites would be envious of the huge volume of comments Vineyard of the Saker draws.
@вот так:Will such comments be not allowed now, since they don’t really add anything of “substantial to the conversation” and are much like saying “hell yeah”?
Ok. I hear you. My pre-moderator also has reservations about that. So it looks like I will have to dump this rule.
Thanks for your input!!
Kind regards,
The Saker
@Suppose it is true that the fall of the USSR was a deception.
At the time people use to talk about the “Russian gambit”.
To Katherine at 23:55
I do not write comments all the time, but definitely I’m on this blog every single day and also forwarding some information for my Internet buddies.
It also happened to me “Only ones” that I have not checked if the message went out because of the “captcha”. It was my mistake and I have a feeling that this is your problem too. Always check if the message went out, or still sitting in the window.
I consider this blog incredibly honest, real able and even my English is my fifth language and it is not perfect my post was always posted with out any censoring. Thank you Saker even I still have to learn more about English writing.
To Katherine, who said, “I have not tried posting here for months … because none of my comments were ever posted.”
This is sad and hard to believe. I don’t think I’ve ever submitted a comment that wasn’t posted. What were your comments? Could you have failed the Captcha test? That seems unlikely. Also, when a comment has been submitted, it should disappear from the box, and a message should appear at the top of the page “comment received and awaiting moderation”. Did you see this message?
Sometimes I wonder if there isn’t some kind of meta-censorship on the internet. For example, I’ve never been able to comment on rt.com, because I never receive the confirmation email. Is some agency is blocking it? Am I on somebody’s list?
Please keep commenting. I’m very interested.
To Ed, who said, “I looked at a Bloomberg article about the Ukraine crisis lately and the comments section was appalling.” Yes, and I suspect this is because Bloomberg demands an email address from commentators. This inhibits a lot of intelligent people.
I’m not a German but I have family and strong connections in Germany. And WW2 is a difficult subject for them, even if they trust you. Here are some aspects that many of them cannot fail to see:
– They got clobbered by the US puppetmasters which their government had vowed to fight
– And today they still are (and will remain) a colony of the same puppetmasters and must endure a government of AZ puppets that they do not agree with – and the puppetmasters never come out and declare themselves.
– They even got clobbered by their own leader who was a military incompetent and so they had to pay the blood price to Stalin.
The Soviet Union also paid a blood price but at least it won WW2 – but is this a reason to hold the high moral ground? Today’s RF is in a fight to the death against the same puppetmasters. And they are the last defender of freedom still standing so we can only hope for the best but this gives none of them the right to be condescendent especially against a country that they want on their side.
