Dear friends
We are back up, but we are still fixing/changing a few things. Obviously, I cannot share what we have done and are still doing. But the progress is real and I wanted to share that with you. Still, two of our Saker blogs (Italian and Latin American) are down due to the changes we had to make. We hope to get them back up next. Please stay tuned.
Also, since we are fine tuning a few things, we might have a few “bumps” in the coming days. Should that happen, please know that 1) I am not closing down the blog 2) we are aware of the problem 3) we are working on it and, finally, 4) we will solve it one way or another.
I also remind you that in case of outage, please do not email me, but see the messages on the old blogspot website here: http://vineyardsaker.blogspot.com/
We also have a Telegram channel here: https://t.me/TheSakergroup
Next, I plan my full-time return to blogging for July 24th, God willing. This break has allowed me to (almost) fully recharge my batteries and I very very much look forward to resuming my work here.
I want to thank you all for your patience, especially those who donated while the site was down (and yes, IT costs money!). Considering the bad (USA) to horrible (EU) economic situation we are all facing (unless there are millionaire readers out there, but I doubt it), this was not only very generous of you, but also extremely morally uplifting to see that our wonderful community of readers is supporting us even in the worst of times.
I can’t say that this experience was pleasant (and I personally had it easy, since I had no role in fixing things, unlike the Saker Team and one very kind spontaneous helper which did all the heavy lifting, thank you guys!!!!!), but it did prove to me that we were doing something very very right. Why do I say that? Because it is highly likely (don’t laugh here, *sometimes* this expression is valid) that we were attacked by a state actor or by a “private” entity paid top dollar by state actors: the attack was both massive and VERY sophisticated. Again, I apologize for not saying more.
I figured that if they hate us so much, we must really have them butthurt pretty badly :-)
Okay, that was all I could share with you right now.
Kind regards, hugs and cheers to all
Andrei
Flak is always heaviest over the target.
Thanks Andrei, looking forward to your return, the site has been in good hands!
Good you are feeling better, thanks for all your work.
Dear Andrei: So many of us see your work as “very right” and I wish to share my profound respect for you, and gratitude for your persistence. I regard your site as magnificent. Thank you.
Always trust Linux and Unix
Congrats for your return! On regard of some comment from Boris Kazlov and just to feed my curiosity: was the problem fix with free software? Kindest regards,. Other
Dunno, but it is much easier to prevent such problems with more robust OSes, like Unix and Linux.
Now don’t ask me to contribute to the security of the site, I am no security specialist, just an intermediate user of Linux.
In the early 90s I outsourced BP South Africa’s IT department after probing that all their legacy systems could run on departmental Unix servers. Needless to say, no IT department would hire me after that…
I rely on Linux for my main computer, and have done so since I pretty-much abandoned Microsoft Windows 95 back in about 1995. I have a much smaller machine to run Windows so I can do my Income Tax and update my GPS for my car. But it is small, and not used for anything else.
SELinux, with an elementary firewall in my router, and a software firewall in the computer itself.
This does not guarantee security, but raises it compared to Windows OS. I suspect the OS for current McIntosh machines is pretty good too, but I have never used it.
OPSEC
is so important in this day and age.
But no! I disagree (with myself, not less). It was forever thus.
They bark, then we ride!
Thank you for your wonderful team and your work. We look forward to your return.
I am excited by your return, Andrej and at the same time I sincerely hope that you do not ruin it all by returning too quickly. Only you can know the right timing and pace, of course. But I urge yout to think twice about it once again and while I can speak for noone but myself, I am fairly certain that many will agree with me: We will be happy either way – whether you return by 24th July or whether you take another couple weeks off to be on the safe side and ensure to fully regain your health.
kind regards and many thanks,
Max
Words from you, more particularly right now, are much appreciated, Saker.
As a matter of fact, on matters of health I do concur with Maxx. Please try and take the longer view as uncompromisingly as possible, Andrei. This struggle is unlikely to be over anytime soon. On the contrary it promises to be ever more demanding for a long, long time to come.
Please bear in mind what most inspiring role you play in all of this for so many of us. Your presence and influence are crucial. Do care for your health willingly and generously.
Regards always,
LR
bio labs report caused lots of pain and lashing out. damming and they know it.
Indeed catalyst was likely the Biolabs data dump
SFSN
pablozz , Exile : Perhaps you are right , but it is strange that the source I used for my post of the biolabs (IEarlgrey on youtube) , has not be shut down and didn´t suffer any IT-pain.
To Andrey , your health is first. Try to delegate as much work as possible , so that you don´t suffer any overload in the future. You have a fantastic team at your disposition.
In former times in workshops the primary role of a skilled worker was to take every possible step so that the boss hadn´t to touch any dials and wheels at the machines.
Maybe if you read the report you’d know post some of this “pain”? Nothing good in there
Godspeed, my pal. Many thanks to all!
Great! We are here! Get better, recharge your batteries!! Best from Portugal.
They are stark raving mad about independent relevant voices, and there are some here.
So great to see the blog back up! Congratulations to the Saker team for beating back the latest attack. This has been more proof of how much the Empire of Lies hates this blog and anyone or anything else that contradicts their crafted PR narrative and calls out their nonsense for what it is. As hatred is always rooted in fear, it is abundantly clear that these nefarious actors are scared enough to go through a lot of trouble attempting to silence you. It certainly provides further validation that you are doing something good and righteous! Thanks so much for what you do, you provide all of us with a vitally important resource (it brings to mind Orwell’s statement about how in a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act). But as others have mentioned, please take care of your health and your family, that is always a higher priority.
God Bless You, Saker!
Through my praying, I had foreknowledge of some kind of “evil act(s)” (Japanese lacks plural) the day before Abe Shinzo was gunned down and your blog went down, almost at the same time. The divine spirits requested that I perform a healing prayer rather than a prayer of supplication. Therefore rather than praying for help for you I am going to send in a donation.
What you are doing is really valuable to a lot of people.
Site is up. -So guess who won!!
The Essential Saker, You’re the man!
I echo the comments which urge you to put yourself first, and to take the time to recuperate. To use an old but useful cliche, we are in a marathon not a sprint. I had not prayed for half a century but am doing so now. For you, and for us all.
Wayne , NZ.
I look forward to hearing more from you, Andrei! Very glad to hear you’re feeling better.
“This break has allowed me to (almost) fully recharge my batteries” – Take your time and top up on energy before you come back. Health first man, health first!
If you want a hand putting this on the TOR or Qortal network give me a shout. Not a lot of users on there yet but neither can be shut down.
Glad to see you back. Respect to you and your wonderful crew.
Craig Murray puts it thus :
The Death of the British Imperial State 265
https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2022/07/the-death-of-the-british-imperial-state/
“All Empires end in ignominy. The United Kingdom is drawing to a close, not with a bang but with a fart.”
And lets the great Bard, Percy Bysshe Shelley have the word :
I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
At the same time Caitlin Johnstone quotes Shelley :
Our Entire Civilization Is Structured Around Keeping Us From Realizing We Can Do This

In unvanquishable number–
Shake your chains to earth like dew 370
Which in sleep had fallen on you–
Ye are many — they are few.’

Newyddion da yn wir – great to have you back … from AP near Cardiff, Wales (UK)
Wb guys tough and frightening stuff when the state is after you Stay strong
We all have a debt of gratitude to you as this blog is indispensable, it provides college-level curriculum in history, politics, geo-politics, warfare and economics. It also provides real and accurate news. Thank you for all of it and God bless you Andrei.
“NSA” is obviously very busy these days… From РИА НОВОСТИ:
RaHDIt hacker: US NSA attacked the “Nemesis” website after SBU declassification
MOSCOW, 12 July – RIA Novosti. After declassifying the data of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (СБУ), the site of the RaHDIt-“НемеZида” (“Nemesis”) hacker group was subjected to a DDoS attack by the US National Security Agency (NSA), a member of the Russian hacker group RaHDIt told RIA Novosti on condition of anonymity.
In June, RaHDIt made the data of 700 personnel of the Security Service of Ukraine publicly available. At the beginning of the special operation, the RaHDIt group simultaneously hacked all 755 Ukrainian governmental websites, in particular, the websites of local authorities throughout Ukraine were hacked.

Good to have the site back. For an avid reader such as I, it has a choice selection to sift through each day and I thoroughly look forward to going through any fresh input that piques my curiosity. It is safe to say I missed it while it was unavailable to me.
Frankly, this site and Andrei Martyanov’s helped keep my old black dog on a bit of a short leash when it otherwise wanted to run riot during the early phase of Russia’s operation. I hate to see evil triumph, …to put it mildly, and the propaganda onslaught was truly hard to stomach especially when one could see just how effective it was to ordinary people. Clear, accurate information with a heavy dose of much needed sanity when all around were losing their damn minds was very much appreciated indeed and I found it in abundance on both the aforementioned sites. I’ll bet neither you nor the other Andrei knew you were making such a valuable contribution to the field of mental health!
All the best to you, and know for sure that you are hitting someone nasty just precisely where it hurts. Now, if we could only get their pronouns….. :-P
1. linux can be hacked. a lot. it is safer in that it’s FOSS and easy to audit but even hardcore nerds like whoever runs the arch linux repos can f_ck up. it only has to happen once.
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/malware-found-in-arch-linux-aur-package-repository/
2. money makes script kiddie sh_t look “sophisticated”. plus there is a rampant MaaS/”malware as a service” industry on the onions. i don’t know the details but just a bit of good news in case you’re worried about an army of “mr robots” or whatever. if someone hits you with a modded stuxnet or mirai then you might want to start worrying.
“Considering the bad (USA) to horrible (EU) economic situation we are all facing”
Be of good cheer, at least we’re not Japan.
Still no access to latam saker blog. 🤔
Hope to see you back soon, refreshed.
