So Russia is still waiting for the written reply from the USA to her demands. The US promised it for next week. As for the gazillion opinions, predictions, threats and other guesses, they consider this all has irrelevant hot air and have declared that Russia will only act on the basis of what the US written reply will say.
Fair enough.
Still, there are a few secondary developments which are happening these days, and I want to mention a few of them.
- The purge of the Kazakh security services is merrily proceeding. Its latest casualty appears to be Samat Abish, who used to be the deputy director of the 1st Deputy Chairman of National Security Council.
- The delivery of S-400 to India will be completed soon, and it appears that the US does not have the courage to try to impose CAATSA mandated sanctions on India.
- The Council of the Duma at a meeting on Monday unanimously decided to withdraw from the consideration of deputies a bill on the introduction of COVID-certificates with a QR code for visiting public places. Good!
- In a triumph for the Woke ideology (or personality disorder) Microsoft is now introducing, and this is not a joke, a, quote, “inclusiveness language checker“.
Compared to the big stuff going on between Russia and the USA, this is small fry news.
Let’s enjoy this short interlude for as long as it lasts.
I leave you with an open thread.

Only amenities and awaiting, I feel tension on the network.
The conversation is now between adults. Evidently Russia has prepared for any scenario. Whatever the answer, a decision will be made and there will be no more conversations, only action. The US raises the stakes as if it were in a poker match – and the Russians will pay to see the cards.
Four British C-17’s loaded with hundreds of the anti tank NLAW system have landed in Kiev. So much for the answer “in writing”.
I have no idea what’s coming down the line but I fervently hope that when the proverbial shit finally hits the fan the British will be the ones suffer a significant brunt of any “military-technical” measures that the Russians have planned. The US is after all still significant global power whereas the British aka “the little Englanders” are a much faded and pathetic former imperial entity with an upper class Eton educated buffoon as Prime Minister.
That is a disgusting attitude to hold. All this nonsense is entirely the result of US bullying of its NATO satrapies, the UK included.
You punish the Mr and Mrs Bigs in the USA, you severely admonish and punish to a lesser degree their subservient orderlies.
What you mean is: ‘I think Russia should be just as cowardly in 2022 as the USA has been for the past 75 years’.
Attack someone who won’t be able to fight back properly…..
We, the British people don’t want war in Ukraine, just like we didn’t want war in Iraq. All our political parties are controlled by the US/Israeli axis and most of them had sold out to the EU as well.
Stop implying that the UK populace should suffer due to the imperialistic bullying of the USA……
Very well said.
Only one country and its people genuinely will a war between East and West (White People), and that is Israel. You can bet that neither U.S. or Russian people want war, not to even mention British. What on earth would made us want a war? Why?
No, nobody wants war, except the existential war mongerer: Zionist.
They would love to watch us killing each other, and what is more important, to hate each other.
We should stop right now behaving like slaves, and do their bidding. If they want war, let them fight their wars without any help from either us in the West, or our brothers in the East. Instead, we should reach for our brothers, and build a world without proxy hate. We do not need Zionist propaganda and their war mongering. We should free ourselves from the shackles of war mongerers.
US and UK people are NOT able to get rid of the zionists. These psychopaths have infiltrated everywhere. They are the elites in power. They are the decision-makers in the governments. They control the military. They are globaly organized…
Yes, the peoples of the world do NOT want war. But, they cannot do anything to stop it.
I see a war against Russia coming. Russia is their target. Russia must be able to retaliate, or the whole of humanity will be doomed… WE KNOW that Russia is prepared and has the best weapons… But, if the war gets too hot, nothing, nobody will escape… God, help us!
Yes, so we all know that it is the Zionists, not the British.
So we should stand up and fight against the Zionists. Simple.
If you are British like i am its clear you haven’t been watching our news or media in general, there are many who have bought into the Russian threat Bullshit and they would go along with War,like they did when Serbia was attacked and Iraq and Libya, they never learn.
@Englishman,
If that is the case, then a short, sharp, shock and awe demonstration of the power advantage Russia possesses is necessary. I am sure General Shoigu is considering pinpoint strikes of the ‘partner’s’ most threatening military targets even as we comment here. Should NATO forces make more wrong moves, the strikes will happen and that will wake ordinary people up right quick. They will understand then what destruction awaits them if they do not stop those perpetrating this in the name of their country.
Russia is not negotiating this time. It can’t afford to.
Real enemies, well identified! I have been saying for 18 years that when the Christian West open their eyes as to who has been dragging them to wars and impoverishing their societies with insurmountable debts through the fractional reserve banking system, they will recognize that it was the international Khazaarian bankers.
And when the Christian West recognize this fact these Khazaarians will not find any refuge but to end up in their second citizenship zone, which they created as their safe haven but will be trapped their for the Muslims to set things right for destroying the Middle-East under the leadership of returning Messiah, Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him, and his Blessed Mother, Maryam). We are taking account of millions of lives destroyed from Afghanistan to Syria and Libya, and God forbid the next war between Morocco and Algeria.
I already commented ‘hear hear!’ to Mr. Jaggar’s excellent comment.
ValhallaX, sir you speak truth. Most people I talk to don’t even have a clue what is going on, nor the danger of such a situation. This hate-mongering by the usual suspects and their media apparatus is ridiculous. The People don’t want any part of this.
Yesterday, I received a text from the Trump campaign asking me (as a last chance) to join their team for Trump’s 2024 re-election campaign ‘Let’s Take Back America’. Sad indeed. We’ve heard that clarion call too many times now. The solution to this festering imperialist / fascist problem the West finds itself mired in will not be found by re-electing someone who had every opportunity to save us from the horror-show, yet did nothing but spout hot air, pontificating during briefings how marvelous and exceptional they were, while making empty promises that were not kept. We have had a succession of deep state appointed loonies – and honestly I think Trump is one of those too, appeasing the very people that seek our destruction and servitude. ‘The West’ needs a man like VVP – a real leader.
Dr. Rhys you are absolutely correct in your description of the state of the people of the United Kingdom and the United States. We are totally in the grip of the US/Israeli axis and it’s masters, the owners of the Private Central Banks (aka the City of London, New York, etc.). Our politicians, judges and senior military officer answer only to the Bilderberg crowd of Globalist. Their indecisiveness comes from the fact that they are often waiting for direction. In the minds of these IDIOTS, the people are infantile, i.e., incapable of understanding and responding to these situations. To the masters, we are just useless eaters, who currently serve a minor role of debt slaves and cannon fodder.
However, the solution to the problem, and the only way out of this mess without catastrophic global war, is for the people of the United Kingdom and the United States to regain control of their respective countries. The divided, angry, deluded Americans must overlook their differences and realize, they are the only people on the planet that can slay the monster and ultimately stop the senseless aggression, color revolutions and theft of resources from around the world. The same goes for Britain.
The US elite that makes the big decisions represents less than 0.1% of the population, roughly 370,000. Their army of prostituted underlings probably numbers in the range of 10,000,000 and woke followers another 50,000,000. While that is big, it is nothing compared to 300+ million angry, focused, and motivated citizens who seek to create a better world for themselves and their children.
The responsibility is ours not Russia, China or the Axis of Resistance. If the people of the United Kingdom and the United States wait for Russia or China to solve the problem, then they deserve the destruction that would come with that solution.
Hear hear!
I live within 3 miles of the MI6 building. If any single organisation is responsible for all the recent wars, it is the financial mafia within the Square Mile of London collaborating with the US Federal Reserve and telling the UK Prime Minister and White House which way to jump. MI6 being the active executors currently in many conflicts. So i must agree totally with the comments made by Zil. The Zionists are the main puppet masters pulling all the strings.
But you do raise a very interesting point. Is there a collective responsibility for War Crimes? For 50 years post WW2 the whole German population was battered with recriminations about the one dynamic guy they had – mistakenly – believed in.
and then along came Tony Bliar…who has never been convicted for all his own instigated War Crimes…nor have Camerons escapades…but the British public elected these psychopaths…and British soldiers happily went to war to assist in the plans of these psychopaths.
The Russians know all this…They dont blame the population for being so stupid as to elect these psychopaths. They make the instigators of the policies responsible…and if there is soon a crater where the MI6 building once stood, i will get my windows blown out too…so i will be part of that collateral damage…thats unfortunate but one must be realistic. The UK government is VERY much an active participant in the Ukraine and in Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and the Yemen….VERY much in the driving seat….it is NOT “primarily the imperialistic bullying of the USA. Britain is NOT “just a subservient orderly..” but has been an active meddler globally since hundreds of years.
Spot on,i fear thats what it will take before people in my Country wake up,thousands of body bags coming home.
Not so sure there are any competent adults on the US side. This from spoke-thingy Psaki makes a mockery of what the Russians very clearly stated was the way forward:
“White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki in a Tuesday afternoon daily press briefing said “We believe we’re now at a stage where Russia could at any point launch an attack on Ukraine. I would say that’s more stark than we have been.”
She confirmed that Secretary of State Antony Blinken will meet with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kiev this week, just after it was recently revealed that CIA Director William Burns did the same last week. “What Secretary Blinken is going to do is highlight very clearly that there’s a diplomatic path forward,” Psaki said. “It is the choice of President Putin and the Russians to make whether they are going to suffer severe economic consequences or not.”
If I were Lavrov I would deny Blinken’s plane landing rights and advise the air traffic controller to tell him to try again when he has a signed guarantee to deliver. I am not, so we will all have to wait and see what the Russian response is. Amusingly insulting is my guess.
I understand that the Russian proposals/Ultimatum were designed by the Russians to be unacceptable to NATO if not actually also humiliating to them. Which makes me wonder…
How Orwellian. An ‘Inclusiveness’ checker to exclude certain language. Brought to you by the Ministry of Free Speech.
Russia must act swiftly, because the West is arming the Ukraine to the teeth. It will be much harder to break the Ukraine once it gets Stingers and advanced anti-tank missiles. It may well be too late to do it without serious casulties.
In regards to this:
“Microsoft is now introducing, and this is not a joke, a, quote, “inclusiveness language checker.”
I find it sad that there is no serious alternative to Windows. I have used Linux, would never buy Apples’s junk. Linux desktop has gotten better, but many new technologies and hardware (example Mirecast, bluetooth headphones) simply have no good support on Linux.
But don’t think that woke ideology hasn’t gotten into Linux space. Many open-source projects have submitted to this harmful ideology, with Rust and Go languages being the worst offenders. If you need an OS free from wokeness, it simply does not exist today.
Microsoft is everywhere. Now even in AMD mobile processors: in the very form of “Pluton” “security” features. The Linux comunity is not exactly happy about that.
Thanks for mentioning this, I left Linux a couple of years back, this is concerning.
As for the main topic, it seems there are some reports of Russians leaving Ukrainian embassy:
https://www.rt.com/russia/546357-moscow-evacuate-embassy-ukraine/
I don’t know how accurate they are.
Already officially denied by Russian spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
https://www.rt.com/russia/546420-ukraine-embassy-evacuation-respond/
You must read a brillant analyste: Andreï the Saker. :)
If you did it, you could know that in modern Warfare, it’s less the force that matter than the fire.
There is no reason to see russian tanks in Ukrain. Only missiles, drones, shells, EM, or something else you throw from far or high.
20 years ago, Irakies had perfect anti tank and anti aero weapons: 0 casualties for OTAN.
Azeris didn’t need tanks to overwhelm Armenians.
And once more, Russia don’t need to invide Ukrain. Better, Russia need absolutly to not invide Ukrain.
Destroy all the strategic ukrainian depth if this one attack and overwhelm republics of Donbass, yes.
Destroy some threatening OTAN controled place( missile batterie, port in Azov banks, weapons stock) in Ukrain, in even killing some OTAN troops, why not.
But invide, no.
But Andreï Say that how much better than I.
Must read. :)
Israel thinks nothing of destroying arms dumps in other countries with impunity !!
Russia ??
A couple of divisions from the Eastern Military district are arriving in Belarus right now…they should be able to take Kiev in a day or two once ops begin.
I hope they’re also considering taking Lvov as well, to smash those Bandera Nazis once for all.

Heavy water – heavy: “holy, – heavy, – water”! )))
Yes, many don’t see that either, namely that nuclear weapons used to owe their importance mainly to a lack of targeting accuracy of the nuclear weapon delivery means, at least those for longer distances … but that is a wide field.
Yes. Marshal Ogarkov made that point many years ago.
How about Mint?
I like it a lot, and I don’t see politics from this community-based distro.
Also
There are Russian and Chinese version of GNU/Linux out there.
Finally,
Since GNU/Linux is free and open source, if a distro goes woke, we can just fork it.
So all in all, I think that we (GNU/Linux and *BSD) users are in good shape.
In terms of desktop, Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition is centuries ahead of Windoze 10, imnsho.
I am looking into Mint and jumping off the Apple train.
Any recs on hardware? I already use Brave browser & Proton VPN.
I use tor/firefox/firefox focus. You can customize your privacy enough… yes, “sheeple” say it’s a resource hog, but it’s 2022 and there’s limited difference between browser(s).
I have felt Brave is basically just a ‘faux-privacy’ browser being promoted by video gamers. It has not been around long enough to place any trust in it.
There are good Russian distros:
1. Rosa Linux (Version 12.1 is KDE or Gnome). I am running Gnome on my Thinkpad laptop.Excellent.
2. Astra Linux (An improved Debian based distro)
3. Alt Linux (The P10 brabch has KDE and Gnome).
Cheers from France.
I second your recommendation. I have used Linux Mint Cinnamon for 15 years, and I couldn’t be happier.
As for Office, I use Libre Office (supplied with distro). It does everything of importance that MS Office does. Thunderbird e-mail can work with MS Outlook, as they use the same file formats. EEven their respective calendars can communicate.
So, migration from Windows/MS is not difficult at all.
I still have Windows 7, for those few (and growing fewer!) applications which only run on Windows.
I should add that Linux WINE will run most MS programs under Linux, if you need them. WINE used to be a pretty unstable product, but it is much better now.
Mint is just a Ubuntu rebranding. I used it fo a while before switching to Debian. In terms of security, there was/is nothing better than Debian, in my oppinion. Sadly, it has fallen to the woke crowd.
If Mint doesn’t care about politics, then I might be tempted to try it again :)
I’ve used Mint for years and haven’t noticed any “woke” behaviors.
The Russian ALT Linux impressed me a lot. Very stable (Cinnamon tends to be less stable). It has a lot of ‘hidden’ nifty features – stuff you often miss in other distros turn out to be solved by means of an installable package. Slightly higher security level than the average Linux distro. Reason I use it is they offer ‘Starterkits’ with the old SysV init system (standard desktop editions use systemd).
Today you have to comply or else, that’s the issue (and the extortion). Anyone who e.g. can sit out this eerie Microsoft presentation really deserves a medal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH9QZh08eQ8
But, let’s keep in mind that an issue might be that in the claim and blame culture of the west, these measurements could have been taken to avoid nasty lawsuits (‘Microsoft Office made me write hurtful language! They should be punished!’ *claimer crawls up in safe space and weeps unstoppable*). Any American-based company has to deal with all kinds of lawsuit-defense, also Linux firms, just ask any Fedora user. Mint is not firm based but cummunity based, that might be a difference.
If that is a great distro is up to any user. There are some 600 Linux distros and several desktop interfaces, so there must be one that will suit you.
Libreoffice is a fine office package for day to day use, but has issues when you want to share that with people who use the regular MS office. If you want to avoid that, I can recommend WPS office, that is fully compatible and freeware. It’s closed source however, so I guess the Chinese manufacturers of this might be digging in the stuff that I write, and I wish them a lot of luck and happiness with these efforts.
Btw, to do a little breakdown on the brand glorifying, please be aware that many servers of the Microsoft Azure cloud service are running on Linux. So do the systems of really critical systems like the stock exchanges of Frankfurt and New York, and the International Space Station.
On the other hand, be aware that Microsoft is one of the bigger contributors to the development of the Linux kernel. That is open source, so there is not really hidden stuff there.
Cheers, Rob
The British defense minister invited Shoigu to London.
Apparently, one wants to play among the “big ones”.
I’m curious to see whether he’ll go for it.
It will be really “funny”.
Shoigu should stay home, in Great Britain he may get sick with whatever…
Shoigu would do well to read up on what happened to Riel after the Red River Rebellion….perhaps meeting in a neutered country would be safer.
Cheers M
If he wants to talk he should go and visit Shoigu (with some Chelsea buns & blue stilton as a present), possibly in a hunting lodge of a forest on the border of Kaliningrad.
Was this an invitation to one of Bojo’s fancy parties? :-)
No reason Shoigu should go, period. As long as the Brits deliver weapons to Kiev there is nothing to talk about.
Like hoodrats wanting you to cross the street to give them spare change.
that’s hilarious but as the saying goes, ‘if you won’t speak to Lavrov you will speak to Shoigu’ maybe the Brits know they’re already beat?
It is an invitation without an agenda to talk about.
That’s a dinner date without a menu.
It’s just propaganda for the British consumer and Eurodolts who think war can be avoided by arming the Ukies with Javelins and Stingers, and training sniper teams and sabotage sappers who will be turned loose on the civilians of Donbass.
The US plan is peace through war by proxies.
I suggest that a lot of ashes of former human beings will be found with burnt and twisted Javelins and Stingers.
The War Criminals are cooking up more havoc and chaos, death and destruction.
The coming coup in Kiev will return Porky, a trustworthy psychopath, to power, and will mark the full withdrawal of the US while Britain takes the reins to direct operations against Donbass.
Nothing has changed in playing the Ukraine card against Russia. Just a move to distance the US, in hopes that missiles won’t fly to Washington. State and the Defense Dept. will leave the dirty work to CIA.
Maybe the British defense minister want to talk about an undersea Communications cable.
The British fear that Russia planes to destroy the Communication cable between US and Europe.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/russian-subs-cutting-underwater-cables-25889266
But perhaps this just more BBC war propaganda by the British.
3 weeks ago the British claimed to be struck by a Russian SUB.
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-59898569.
Luckily the British had a TV crew onboard, so you can see how “Dangerous” it was. LOL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGyPV-xTbZ4
@Larchmonter: “That’s a dinner date without a menu.”
Like the British Queen inviting President Assad to tea before the British Army set out with NATZO to invade his country.
Russia can simply point out it is already talking to the US, and everyone else is just irrelevant vassals.
There is zero point to the UK defence minister making such an invitation if he is gung ho behind all the US demands. Why would Russia bother? They’ve heard it all direct from the horse’s mouth and no other NATO member really matters….
If however there is serious disquiet in European Ministries about the turns of events, they might like to let the Russians know that formally, face to face.
I don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors, so I can’t comment on the reality.
The bottom line is that Russia and China need to act together in confronting the US. So, the 2022 Winter Olympiics being held in Beijing end on March 13th, if the paraolympics are counted, — on February 20th, otherwise. Russia will not spoil the Olympics. Depending on what was promised China, there will be no moves by Russia prior to either February 20th (or March 13th). On the other hand, based on prior American acts, the US might decide to act during the Olympics, forcing Russia to respond.
Russia has to be especially vigilant, battle ready leading up to those Winter Games.
No propaganda and/or sanctions threat is worth its salt. Whatever hot air blows from the West, the Russian position is immovable. NATO has to pack up and leave eastern Europe before it ends up in apocalyptic demise.
Let the collective West enjoy it’s self-destructive Woke culture, ‘inclusiveness language checker’, gender fluid citizenry,….
It is very significant that the Iranian president will visit Russia this week and speak in front of the State Duma.
Indeed, that is a huge event.
Will try to cover it.
Arming Ukraine w/U.S. junk is irrelevant. Russia is only concerned about using Ukraine as a missile platform for its own missiles manned by U.S. personnel. That is the only thing that will trigger an invasion. Russia is just providing due notification.
But … pouring in secondary U.S. junk weapons is a concern in regard to terrorism. Russia needs to shame the U.S. / EU into serializing / ID’s that equipment, even if its with an insulting, ‘you want to make sure that it’s not a Russian false flag to make the U.S. look bad’. I can see the U.S. love having C4 explosives terrorizing Russians but that will inevitably spill into Europe as well and Ukraine wants money.
I don’t think it’s irrelevant. It will make the inevitable Russian military operation much more difficult.
Giving NATO the initiative is a road to disaster. Just see Afghanistan.
The Javelin has a range of 1.5-3 miles. If you can’t get that close to a Russian tank column without getting killed, it’s not of much use. Any tank assault must rely on infantry and air power to protect the tanks. With drone surveillance any anti-tank infantry in the vicinity are likely to be spotted and attacked first by stand-off weapons.
Then there’s this:
Russian Tanks Massing Near Ukraine Sport Mods Against Drones, Javelin Missiles
https://www.forbes.com/sites/sebastienroblin/2021/11/29/russian-tanks-massing-near-ukraine-sport-mods-against-drones-javelin-missiles/?sh=14838b9565e9
One can presume that Russia has been working on anti-tank missile countermeasures.
Also, Javelins aren’t cheap. According to Wikipedia: ” In 2002, a single Javelin command launch unit cost $126,000, and each missile cost around $78,000 (equivalent to $112,000 in 2020).[25] This is reinforced by the US Army’s Fiscal Year 2018 unit cost for the Javelin weapon system, which put the unit cost at $206,705.” Still, a Russian tank supposedly costs $2 million, so that’s a bargain – if you can hit it.
Why can’t and wouldn’t Russia test the Armata tank in this situation and condition, afterall that is the best Russian tank out there or the best and most capable in the world. It must be battle tested.
this is very true, whatever happens to Ukraine going forward it is not wise to have all this second rate US/UK junk hanging around, who knows the hands it will end up in, either at home or people selling it all off in the Stans or further afield. Having said that when it comes to breeding and encouraging uncontrolled terrorism the UK and US are truly masters. It’s a shame they don’t like clearing up the mess it creates.
the stingers of the CIA were the reason why the USA was in Afghanistan in the first place. If they had not given these weapons to the Taliban to use against Russian helicopters, the USA would not have had to fear that the Stingers would be used against the USA. They had to take off and land in Pakistan with windows darkened on their planes.
Arming Ukraine w/U.S. junk is irrelevant.
Agreed 110%!
The loss of the Soviet Union was irrelevant.
Surrendering Eastern Europe to NATO was irrelevant.
Surrendering the Balkans was irrelevant.
The destruction of Libya was irrelevant.
Ukraine turning into a Western anti-Russia is irrelevant.
Donbas is not needed and is irrelevant.
The accelerated arming of Ukraine is irrelevant.
Some call this political realism. I call it pure sloppiness and indolence.
The second to last one, “The accelerated arming of Ukraine is irrelevant”, is indeed irrelevant. See the Yemen example.
I think Putin knows that the US is going to die soon. Perhaps this is a move by Putin to occupy and distract the Empire. There is a high probability that nuclear war will not happen, but it is likely that some kind of war will happen. The point is: while 90% of humanity plans for the next 5 years and lives as if nothing is happening, we are living through the most dangerous moment since the Cuban Missile Crisis. Because maybe the Ukronazis are crazy enough to attack Russia. If there is no war now, then at least something big will change in the world. Perhaps some change on the planet is inevitable.
You are so right on this. Never-ending appeasement will not bode well for Russia. Sooner or later they will have to face the hard reality. Better sooner than later.
“According to Peskov, the only way forward for the US and NATO is to finally address Russia’s concerns in earnest, instead of brushing them off. “This is the reason we are insisting on receiving a direct response,” he explained, adding that Moscow expected an “extremely specific” response to its “extremely specific proposals.”
Moscow is not issuing any ultimatums, he maintained, adding that the Kremlin was not “speaking about military action,” and considers a military scenario “madness to do that.” However, he suggested Moscow would respond to the continued NATO expansions in other ways.”
Nothing like making suggestions to your nemesis and releasing them to the public. Looks like all that hypersonic hardware will just decay in/on the launch tubes/platforms.
Meanwhile, there’s been an attempted coup in Kazakhstan, Canada has sent “special forces” to Ukraine, there’s reports of a nato troop build-up along the Belarusian border and so much more. If accurate, Peskov showed their hand and it is embarrassing and weak. The U.S. and nato will laugh even harder at the Russian government and their written response will likely be “Screw you!!” And it’s a bit disingenuous to claim that the written response will govern the matter when the U.S. has rarely, if ever, abided by any promise – oral or written. One must look at the actions to judge behavior and the actions of the U.S. and nato toward Russia have always been and remain extremely hostile and threatening. Russia has a lost face with these comments disillusioning millions of people worldwide.
Do you have a source on NATO build-up on the bordsr with Belarus?
That sounds extremely dangerous.

It appears Canada, along with other NATO hyaenas, is doubling down on coercing Russia:
https://nationalpost.com/news/world/canada-deploys-small-contingent-of-special-forces-operators-to-ukraine-global-news-2
The question is, if real shooting starts, will the Russian military launch missile strikes against CFB Petawawa (home base of JTF-2, Canada’s special forces), CSIS HQ, & Canada’s military headquarters as part of President Putin’s promise to destroy the infrastructure of those issuing attack orders?
Read the comments to the article in the National Post.
Canadians are clearly not one bit fooled by the antics of Justin Poodough or Miss Kiev.
Since when did Official Canada care what Canadians think? They tell Canadians what to think.
Also do recall that there’s no difference in the foreign policy positions of all the major trans-Canadian parties.
Nope. Canadian forces are busy cleaning up BC from recent flood, and chances are they will be deployed to clean the snow from Toronto. :-))) No worries, our blond young ministress of defense (ministress is female minister, eh) is already on the ground in Ukraine. Now that will scare Russians…
Even if CA does go to war with Russia, no problem, preparations have started: this morning TV announced that we have shortage of grocery store workers, luckily we do not need them, since shortages of goods are expected. I don’t know about grocery stores, on Sunday everything look OK to me, but then, why would I believe my own lying eyes instead of government? As for goods (food) shortages and delays, I believe them. From Last Friday, trucks entering Canada from USA are not allowed if drivers are not vaccinated. Safety first. It is OK to die of starvation, but to be safe from Omicron.
Interesting times ahead of us.

Even if that were true the facts are:
*Canada does not respect Moscow’s red lines
*Canada has military forces in countries bordering Russia
*Canada is a key member of the AZ Empire
If Moscow wanted to lash out against a hostile country, Canada would be an easy target because:
*Its leadership, especially Ukrainian Nazi Chrystia Freeland, is rabidly Russophobic
*Canadian military is actively working against Russian security in Europe, Syria, & East Asia
*Vicious anti-Russian propaganda in Canadian media
*Canadian air defence is non-existant
*Canada is a target-rich land for Russian long range missiles
Sadly, Canada, just like the US, is being led by cretins who have the combined geopolitical acumen of a sun baked dog turd.
There are exactly no legitimate reasons for Dustbin and Co to send Canadians off to die for something that has absolutely nothing to do with Canada.
This is compounded by the fact that it paints a huge target on the country as a whole.
Dick Lenning wrote:

My Comment:
As a former soldier I’m able to answer that question.
Deployment of hostile foreign forces next to your borders makes the foreign forced a clear target:
If the shooting starts, this will include the Canadian Soldiers as targets.
Whether the Russian response will be with missiles or other means is still to be seen.
I read and see video excerpts on TV/ YouTube about Ukrainian forces digging and building strong fortifications near the contact line. I am amazed. Did anyone tell them that thermobaric missile such as those lunched by TOS 1 or the newer TOS-2 systems are designed to destroy fortified position and suck the air off their sorrow lungs.
Didn’t they learn anything from Chechnya campaign just 12 years ago?!
How stupid can an Ukrainian army commander be to believe his “well dug- in” troops can resist a barrage to thermobaric missiles!?
To show in US media that russians use barbaric thermobaric weapon…..
Canada coercing Russia is like a fluffy and perfumed poodle trying to coerce a Grizzly bear.
Amen to that.
Like a pack of wolves or hyaenas, each individual NATO country is too cowardly on its own, but they are belligerent together. Canada, like the Netherlands, Belgium, etc, builds its defence doctrine based on “support of its allies,” i.e. attacking only as part of some “coalition of the willing;” just look at the Korean, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, or Libya wars. In other words, Canada is part of the NATO collective trying to coerce Russia.
Just like a pack of wolves, however, just mutilate one or two wolves in the pack, and the rest run away in fear. If the Ukrainian nazis attack then Moscow has the opportunity to use American doctrine and “throw a crappy country against the wall to show we mean business.” By destroying various Canadian targets, such as:
*HQ of Canadian Security Intelligence Service (Ottawa)
*National Defence HQ (Ottawa)
*CFB Petawawa, Ontario
*CFB Halifax (HQ of Canada’s East Coast fleet sending frigates into the Black Sea)
*CFB Cold Lake, Alberta (base of Canadian F/A-18 squadrons flying against Russia, and a major oil producing field),
Russia could potentially deter the USA by proving the range & effectiveness of its Kalibers, Kinzhals, Zircons, MiG-31s, & Tu-160s.
I hope it never comes to this point, but there no longer seems to be any peaceful options remaining.
For smaller countries, alliances make sense. It’s only really big countries like the USA, China, maybe India, where you can totally go it alone.
Belittling smaller countries for forming alliances is counterproductive.
What is counterproductive is allowing one huge nation to dominate such an alliance.
It would be most productive to ask the USA to leave NATO and to completely reformulate its mission concerning European security.
The problem is that would-be Napoleons/Hitlers would see that as an opportunity for ‘the EU’ to project itself militarily, whereas what is required is lots of European nations setting up proper defensive security arrangements.
You know, the UK stopping others invading the UK. The Germans stopping others invading Germany. Poland stopping others invading Poland….
Nothing wrong with them teaming up in solidarity – it seems to work well enough in the CTSO…..
As a Canadian I respect that Saker. Forgive us Russia. These bloodthirsty mofos have taken charge and we let them. We will pay. I am sorry.

It is always amazing, how much some people worry about the Chinese.
400 years of European arrogance have obviously left lasting damage.
Whether and how the Chinese cope with this is not our problem.
The times, when we thought, we had to teach others culture, are simply over.
The East can do without this so-called “culture” if need be.

P/D : Russia is calm with the Iskander M and the zircons. A part on his back has the nuclear shield (S500, A Nudol 235, Sarmat, Avangard, Poseidon, Burevesnik). I still believe that the Anglo elite tries to intimidate Russia with strong statements just for their public opinion and to keep the European sheep in fear.
More than that: they are arming Ukies, instiguing war against Russia. They mean it because the western world is collapsing. They need a war, and they want to win it. They don’t mind if Russia pays the bill. This is a very dangerous time we live in. My hope is in Russia.
I think that we should sit back and wait for the US response and Russian reaction. We can be sure that a well thought out reaction will be forthcoming. We will know soon to no reason to speculate on what it will be IMO.
The NATO is a “weapon of confrontation”, stated Dmitry Peskov in his interview with Fareed Zakaria.
He also stated, “When Germany was reunited and when the then-Soviet Union and the Soviet Union leader Mr. Gorbachev said okay to that, there was a promise by American side,… Unfortunately, not fixed in a juridical, in a legally binding guaranteeing document, but it – there was a guarantee that NATO would never … expand its military infrastructure or political infrastructure eastwards,… Unfortunately, the opposite thing started to happen since then, and NATO’s military infrastructure started to get closer and closer to the borders of the Russian Federation,” he added, that recent actions by the U.S. military led Russia to feel that its national security was being “endangered.”” Peskov shared Russia’s positions well. Highly recommend watching that interview.
Russia is focused on the big picture of the forest, its soil and the trees. The Financial/Dollar Empire wants to just talk about the branches on a tree and ignore Russia’s core security concerns. Russia wants negotiations to address its security needs and treaties, the Empire wants to pursue a distraction through dialogues. The Empire is caught by surprise from Russia’s security initiative and just wants to thwart it, so it is better prepared in the future. Vladimir Putin retains the high hand and the elements of surprise. Russia will need to challenge the Empire to achieve its security, as the Empire isn’t willing to engage with it on the same plane and continuing with threats. In summary, the Empire and its media aren’t showing integrity and conducting conversations in bad faith.
The Western mainstream media doesn’t want to discuss the purpose of NATO, which is “NATO was designed to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down… in one word: Russia.” The Western media doesn’t want to discuss about the commitments made to Russia. Neither does it want conversations about Russia’s security interest. It distracts through the Ukraine angle. Even when discussing about Ukraine it doesn’t mention the $5 billion spent on the Ukraine regime change operation in 2013-14. Just listen to Zakaria on his interview with Peskov and see how he spins after the interview. Was Zakaria listening and comprehending the interview correctly? How can one negotiate with such a partner. In summary, the Empire isn’t interested in good faith negotiations.
Germany and the EU continue to disappoint. Germany now talks about the Normandy format, and the Empire wants a new agreement between Russia and Ukraine. They just want a discord and buy time. Hopefully, Russia sees the reality and will act wisely to end the Empire.
“Empires crumble when they start to believe the bullshit about their own greatness.”
Yes, Olaf Schultz is under fire from MI6/CIA/MSM for pandering to strongman Putin. The flack came when he said withdrawing SWIFT from Russia was off the table. How are the EU going to pay for Russian Gas? Personally I’d request GOLD or Roubles.
If the fools did that i doubt there will be any Russian gas.
I like this word “interlude”. I decided to engage in a guilty pleasure and fry up some slices of SPAM. I was lucky to get one of the last tins in what used to be bountiful supermarkets. So interlude to what? Well, the West destroying itself without one Russian missile ever being shot off. Americans are itching to impose thee worst set of sanctions regardless of what Putin/Russia does. No SWIFT to pay for natural gas? Europe and the US go into hyper inflation if Russia stops delivery. The ironic aspect is that greedy capitalists will inflate prices beyond recognition. A recent study of price inflation in the US was 40% cost of goods and 60% price gouging. Any older dudes remember the Arab oil embargo when US companies parked tankers off the US coast to wait for price rises at the fuel pumps? Man, stock up on supplies, water, and ammo as the fall will last years. Oh, put some Tabasco on the fried Spam.
Do not doubt it, but what study or where, or where or who reported?
Corporate Profits Drive 60% of Inflation Increases
Higher prices aren’t just a result of supply chain chaos or government spending. Inflation is being driven by the pricing power and higher profits of corporations, costing $2,126 per American.
https://mattstoller.substack.com/p/corporate-profits-drive-60-of-inflation
“Europe and the US go into hyper inflation if Russia stops delivery. ” Wrong! EU and USA will simply be cool. Degree of coolnes around zero, farnheit or Celsius, does not matter much. Or, they can use inflation money to burn for heat. No, wait, the inflation money will be electronic. Can smart phones be used to generate heat? I know they can generate light and push out classic battery powered flashlights from the market. Sorry, what did you say? No heat from smart phones? Bummer. What about virtual heat? Virtual is popular these days…. If there is still electric power, they can watch videos of distant people in warm homes. So woke :-)

1/4 Why is Minsk 2 not running? Because this means that the United States must give the Donbass to Russia. They give without a fight. They don’t want to give up without a fight. But Russia is not satisfied with the naval bases of the UK, US on the Black Sea coast. Russia is
1/2 not satisfied with Ukraine as anti-Russia. That is, Russia’s claims extend further than Donbass. And they don’t even give Donbass to her. It’s time for Western partners to evacuate their instructors from Ukraine. Russia is simply left with no other option than to resolve.
It’s time to evacuate the instructors:

What this statement means, I think, does not need to be explained.
ALL BETS ARE OFF.
NATO is “coordinating” country 404 forces.
So, IN PRACTICE, this means NATO is IN. And can’t be surprised if it is treated as such.
Article 5 now applies to Ukraine.

Putin’s immediate intentions are a mystery. His thinking is not
Vladimir Putin will attack Ukraine in the east. Or from the south. Or with a feint from Transnistria in the west. Or from Belarus. He will announce peace and then attack. Or vice versa. So: war is coming. Or maybe not.

Lastly, I note the latest change in the tune of leading Western media about the applicability of Nuland’s ‘sanctions from hell’ to Russia. Today The Financial Times published a lengthy article by its Moscow correspondent Max Seddon explaining how Russia has amassed wealth, reduced its foreign exposure to purchases of its state bonds and to foreign investment flows generally, so that it can withstand whatever Washington is planning to send its way should it take action in Ukraine. The same article explains Western Europe’s energy dependence on Russia as barring imposition of sanctions that leave no channel of payment open. There is nothing new in the report, so its timing for publication now reflects only one factor: the growing recognition in Western financial media that Russia is bullet-proof and that it will do what it wants to secure its vital security interests whatever Washington and Brussels may think.

RT has an article titled, “Germany wants to ‘normalize’ relations with Russia – Babercock”. Babercock is a pro-American Rapper suffers from a Russian-phobia disease was sent to Russia on a charm offensive to dance the Russian folk dance, Kalinka.
Alexander Mercouris at Bit Chute explained that the US and more so Germany are very concerned with a Russian – Ukraine war because of numerous adverse the implication for US who may be insulted and for inimical effects on the German economy starved of needed Russian Gas.
It seems clear that the US and NATO will not budge and if they do Ukraine policies to fracture the Minsk Agreement will be thwarted which is to attack the Donbass region.
However, Russia well know that they must increase the pressure on the US and NATO to arrive at some military balance in Europe and that will not stop until this matter is settled. The US is response is playing Cat and Mouse. We can guess but as said Putin relish surprises. Will Russia trade the opening up of Nord Stream 2 as a settlement, I think not. We wait as something will have to give or break.
The White House says that a Russian invasion of Ukraine could come at any point. An English MP says an invasion is inevitable and imminent. What this means is that Ukraine/the West could attack Donbass right after Blinken’s and Lavrov’s meeting. More likely, these statements are just meant for the USA/ West audience to obscure the fact that the USA is meeting With Russia from a position of weakness.
I’m afraid that UK MPs and the UK media are the last places you would look for truthfulness in high stakes diplomacy.
‘Lying for my country’ is what the British described diplomacy as.
I’m not sure that’s the Russian definition, if truth be told.
It may well be too, but they do seem to see diplomacy more as the channels to achieve international harmony and goodwill.
Calm before the storm? I am always interested in things they do not talk/write about rather than the ones everyone sequels about constantly.
In that context, I went and searched YouTube for old footage of underwater volcanoes, only found few over the last 20 years or so, the most violent shot close by by BBC – nothing spectacular, to say the least.
Then just out of curiosity looked up some underwater nuclear explosions – well, all looked very similar to the recent one in Tonga, complete with the explosive sound effect recorded.
Hmmm.

It would seem to me that the Atlantic faction in the US or some of them have recognised the threat and are finally speaking up.
So just maybe there will be a shift and some genuine negotiation. Your guy’s ideas are a tad fanciful and seem to ignore the wishes of the actual countries involved. Does South America wish to remain vassal to USA? They also are very Orwellian, creating his three great empires. Nevertheless they are an amazing step towards US disengagement. At least some in the US seem to have a brain.
The National Interest, inveterate Russophobes
Indeed. So why pay attention to them?
Saker
Yes of course they are russophobic, which is exactly why when they start making compromise/backdown noises, they are well worth watching. The psyche of the US leadership and their various factions is significant, especially if there is to be any positive outcome from the Russian security demands.
It seems to me that there are people now in the USA who realise that the USA cannot fight a war with both Russia and China. Their aim will be to break the nexus between the two- either set them against one another or at least secure neutrality for one or other of them. I doubt it will work but it does seem the start of some realpolitik in the USA, which might have a positive outcome.
Although Barry McGuire says he’s a Jesus freak now, and that he’s boring, I find him to be a hoot to be around and wanted to share with you a couple of interviews with him. He is the guy who got the huge hit with the song “Eve of Destruction” which seems timelier than ever. I think the song, and Barry’s antiwar attitude affected us all back then. As a military brat I hadn’t given peace too much of a thought until the song came out. Then I discovered my family was on the wrong side of history. Here’s part one. It’s short:

And part two:

I hope for peace. I can’t possibly hope for the US to reach herd intelligence.

for that matter, nobody needs to use Microsoft anything. And it would be better if they didn’t.
There are mature, featureful, and easy to use operating systems such as Ubuntu, Red Hat, Debian, and hundreds of less-well-known distributions. I shall not attempt to link to them, but search and ye shall find.

the criminal Kazak opposition guy has openly declared that regime change will continue for that country and is organising it.
Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini spent 1064-79 in Exile, some in France, but I don’t see any comparison with this Kazakh wishful thinker.
Good, now it is in the open, so Kazakh people can see what it is all about. They won’t bite it.
Having totally lost any faith in popular MSM narratives I am not a big fan of the global climate change agenda. However as a conservative individual, big chunk of Scottish in me, the ongoing posturing of military equipment is obscene. Oh it’s fascinating, our obsession amply illustrated by my presence here. The equipment is often amazingly cool looking, effective or not. Some are certainly sane to feel defensive, while seldom do we see, uh oh looks like they may attack, we better bring up our aircraft carriers for defense. The most offensive weapon. Push comes to shove just scrap waiting to be processed.
Bottom line what the hell do we get for our money? I was stationed on a nuke fast attack, it got cut up for scrap in the late 90’s. I propose it was always scrap. Did it help humanity to evolve, did it keep us safe from dangerous manmade molecules? Did it slow down our evolution into weird anti-pack animals who while utterly stuck in huge crowds, continue to report epidemic levels of loneliness, in spite or perhaps because, of our ubiquitous use of social networking. Like porn, sort of scratches the rash, but it does not sooth the soul.
So take the money for one aircraft carrier and use it to research psychopaths in leadership. Then fix it. The only way psychopaths rule is; when we obey, don’t question, and indeed divide and conquer ourselves. Oh I know this ideal is quite out of the question. If we are to build anything lets build infrastructure for advancement, not more scrap.

Was reading over at Tass earlier that Leonid Slutsky , Russian State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman’s remarks , that The Houthis were doing themselves no favours by attacking UAE on home soil , after 3 drone strikes. I thought, WTF, seriously, the same UAE currently fomenting Genocide in Yemen these last 8 years, who have sectioned of sections of the Yemen coast and are flying in Israeli tourists (maybe just the wealthy).
After further investigation, turns out Slutsky is Ashkenazi, a Russian 5th Columnist.
Seems to me then that Foreign Affairs is the PLAYGROUND of the Duals. All turning up at these Meetings deciding/making Foreign Policy. How can real Diplomacy/Relations succeed when the very objective of the Blinken’s & Shermans want failure, chaos.
One also begins to wonder and question the Israeli attack in Latakia, Syria a few weeks back when the Syrian Military were unable to activate Defence Systems as Russian planes were using airspace. Similar instances/incidents in the last couple of years when Israel were using Russian cover.
At small consolation, with Bibi thrashing out a plea bargain, no jail time for a 7 years sabbatical from politics, I won’t have to read about his quarterly trip to the see Putin. I wonder if he received a standing ovation in the Kremlin/Duma like he does at the US Congress?
Leonid Slutsky is a rather dumb guy, he is loud, but has nothing of value to say.
So he sure ain’t one of those high IQ Askhenazi :-)
For me it’s like Russia is negotiating with 2 countries United States of Israel.
A Russia-US detente and the signing of the JCPOA is a nightmare scenario for the rogue terror State.
MIC-CIA-MI6, Ukraine obviously , Poland & The Lesser Balkans shovel horse manure.
The EU the big Winner . . . . . and we all live happily never after in the afterlife.
Still, wouldn’t surprise me if Blinken called Tel Aviv /AIPAC before he woke Joe up. lol
Aren’t you giving isahell too much importance? They depend on the US, so perhaps Russia does not need to bother about them.
I have a question, has the Soviet Union or the Russian Federation EVER false flagged anything before?
It strongly suggests that the West will be doing the false flag in Ukraine. Michael Maloof basically alluded to Ukraine doing it, but also “knows for a fact” that CIA and Blackwater are in Ukraine, and they are professional false flaggers.
Thoughts?

To Andrei – do you know that “Saker” in russian has not very good connotations? )
Actually, no. A Saker falcon (Falco cherrug) is called a “Baloban” in Russian, which means “big hawk”, possibly from the Persian “balaban”, which metaphorically means “fighter”.
Andrei
Blinken called Lavrov, got th same response – we are waiting for the written response.
Blinken asked for a personal meeting with Lavron in Geneva on Friday – Lavron is thinking..
State Department is running scared
“Actually, no. A Saker falcon (Falco cherrug) is called a “Baloban” in Russian, which means “big hawk”, possibly from the Persian “balaban”, which metaphorically means “fighter”.
Andrei”
Which is why Iranians regularly use them in their war-propaganda videos.
In Serbian, it’s “Stepski Soko”, or The Falcon of the Steppe.
Saker is Arabic word means hawk.
The US response will be nonsense or nothing at all, or may be an invitation to more bather. Doesn’t matter either way. Russia will not attack Ukraine unless Ukraine attacks the Donbass. Ukraine will not attack the Donbass without US permission. US will not give Ukraine permission because it would precipitate war and an economic and LNG rupture between Russia and Europe, destroying the European economy–and by extension the US economy as well. Extreme tension will continue as it serves the interest of the US military-industrial complex and keeps the peasants fearful.
For their sake I hope they’re of a better quality than the £5.5 Billion contract for Ajax light tanks the British Government awarded to General Dynamics which have caused 300 British troops hearting loss and long term medical issues.
Hello Andrei, I hope you are recovering, I rarely make any comments here but I am with you already few years from the time of Givi and Motorola. I just now want to ask you to please write a good article about Russia disregarding the role of Propaganda. How can’t they have translation of their main channels Iike Vesti or programs like 24 hours where Russia position is given with clarity. It hurt me so much when I read the obvious ANTI RUSSIA narrative of RT and Sputnik. So bizarre. You need to help more raising the alarm here.
Best regard, Luis
Yes, thank you, I am fine.
I did write about RT and the rest of them: /assessing-the-russian-counter-propaganda-efforts-saker-rant/

An expert guest on TV said that “military-technical” means not military (not war). That looks like the best interpretation of “military-technical.”
Precisely…
Military -Technical can mean the use of A2AD which will paralyze NATO operations totally…it does not mean immediate kinetic warfare such as sending ballistic missiles onto CIA HQ in Langley…although the latter would be a great idea…
The strategy of the American, British, and European imperialist nations appears to involve ensnaring Russia in an unending conga line of security summits, negotiations, discussions–while never fundamentally honoring Russia’s core security interests.
The Euro-Americans will piously run their mouths all day and all night professing their intentions to promote peace, de-escalation, reducing conflict.
All the while, these same Americans, British, and Europeans continue to deploy military equipment, “trainers,” mercenaries, spies, and special forces into not only Ukraine and Baltics but fomenting regime change operations in distant regions like Central Asia or Kazakhstan.
This is the Talking Trap.

“The Council of the Duma at a meeting on Monday unanimously decided to withdraw from the consideration of deputies a bill on the introduction of COVID-certificates with a QR code for visiting public places.”
From what I’ve read, this only means that the federal Russian government won’t force this devilish thing, but that local provincial authorities are still free to coerce Russians to adopt the QR cattle tag to live their daily life. So much like the rest of the world, Russians are not out of the woods yet.
Glenn Diesen has composed a must read op/ed dealing with the current situation and how it came about via lies and mythmaking by the Outlaw US Empire, which built upon the same sort of lies and mythmaking from 1962’s crisis. Diesen highlights the third of three essential treaties, the pivotal EU-Russia Common Spaces Agreement in 2005, that IF obeyed would have prevented today’s crisis. For those not listening to or reading the transcripts of Lavrov’s pressers and interviews, the other two essential treaties are The Charter for European Security agreed to in 1999, and “Astana Commemorative Declaration: Towards a Security Community”. It ought to be noted that not one US or EU delegate has mentioned any of them during the discussions despite their being the relevant agreed upon documents governing European security that go beyond NATO’s similar tools. Then there’re the two Grandfather treaties, the UN Charter and Helsinki Final Act. That gives Russia Five Aces for its poker hand.
I don´t know if it´s an “interlude”, a “prelude”, the “calm before the storm” or whatever, but I DO know that it´s now just about impossible to find a place aboard any flight from the New York City airports to Brasil. Seems like the diplomats and other folks “in the know” are desperately bailing out before a feared “event”. Apparently, some are even paying first or business class fares to fly 10 hours crammed into center seats in economy class, just to be sure that they and their families will be well clear of “ground zero” when / if the stuff hits the fan. Do they know something that us poor common plebes don´t?

“The delivery of S-400 to India will be completed soon, and it appears that the US does not have the courage to try to impose CAATSA mandated sanctions on India.”
Failure to impose CAATSA will embolden India to take a less US leaning foreign policy. It could even lead to a rapprochement with China regarding the border issue. Should the Russia/China/India combination become more solidified it will be the end of the Empire without firing a shot.
Worth keeping an eye on.

“Inclusiveness language checker“; huh? Doesn’t Microsoft have better things to do? I always get a chuckle over the word “man.” Whoever thinks man is not inclusive, does not know his grammer, and the meaning of the word man.
I’m more concerned about this “Equitable Math” being talked about. I suppose this is to help people who can’t do math get better grades in math without actually having to learn math. I’ve had the privilege to tutor some kids in grade school who were having trouble with math. To give them a “one up” on the teacher I was teaching them this advanced “funny math”; e.g. 2+2= 22. (Ok, so I’m evil.)
what microsoft and the elite lords of the zionist empire are doing is creating a super galactic CHAOS. Because after chaos, Nihilism is born. Men should do what they want and be “free and independent.” Women and teenagers should do what they want and be “free and independent.” Nihilism = a society of empty people running after the carrot, and creating an abstract, sick, dysfunctional civilization, with mutilated, atrophied men and women, in the matrix of the Empire. Let’s not be presumptuous and arrogant: the ultimate goal is the creation of androgynous people and transhumanism. This ruling elite is materialistic and narcissistic.
I am into Neocon math, the sums and products of all numbers are zero. I think I will use that the next time I hear a Republican (the Party, not the dictionary definition or common usage of the term) wail about progressives (or even DINO corporate Democrats (the Party, not the dictionary definition or common usage of the term) believing 2+2=5.
I read all these comments and everyone sounds so sure Russia will prevail one way or another. Not doubting, but God I pray so. I also can’t help but to wonder what tricks the evil ones have up their sleeves. It is actually a battle between good and evil. No one can say America government is good. Hell even uncivilized people know the difference between moral and perversion. Yet America demand those countries yeild to moral filth or be attacked militarily, finacially, or sabotage. Russia is this world’s hope for the peopkes and countries of the world to have self determination. To chose righteousness and purity. Evil is more prevalent now than e er in my opinion. Satan power increases it seems everyday. God I pray with all my heart please protect Russia and her fight for truth, righteousness, justice and that by you Lord God may Russia crush the evil bastards into the dirt. Amen. God bless.
Just my opinion but read some think nothing will happen from the moral side during the Olympics. Maybe Russia and China give the world a pleasant surprise. The games can go on while real men take care of business. I believe it would be smashing, grand, wonderful, successful finally to the games.
I don’t know if mine is too naive a consideration, but don’t you think it’s all a farce: both Americans and Russians have already agreed on the final result, and they now “play” opposite scenes to convince the ultra Russophobics or nationalists that really there is a fighting going on. I see these politicians “too calm”, smiling and I am getting a funny feeling ….
“The Council of the Duma at a meeting on Monday unanimously decided to withdraw from the consideration of deputies a bill on the introduction of COVID-certificates with a QR code for visiting public places. Good!”

Classic Zionism is at work now.
This is how hate and war is spread. And, with due respect, they seem to be getting there, once again. Both East and West are now operating under the War Hysteria. For what? Nothing. What ever will be reached by this War Hysteria, it will not achieve anything, except the Goal of Zionism. Divide and rule.
Even quite sane people, here also, are now fervently hoping for a War. Zionism at work.
@Saker
Do you think if the Anglozionists will try something against the Russian forces in Transnistria? IMO, such a move would be highly likely if a conflict starts, so that the AZs can distract Russia.
What are the Russian options if they try something like that?
A curious thing is that Westerners keep asking for “de-escalation” from Russia. Well, if Russia just wants to gobble it up then there’s no point in asking for “de-escalation.” Right? Implicitly then, it is admitted that there are reasons in Ukraine that are causing what they call an “escalation.” Like amateurs, they do not look for those underlying reasons for the “escalation” and so hardly address them at all: namely what Putin and others see as a conflict that resembles a “genocide” (Putin quoted others as using this term), with another reason being Ukraine’s reiterated requests to be admitted into NATO and the 2008 Bucharest Declaration, point 23, that states: “NATO welcomes Ukraine’s and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations for membership in NATO. We agreed today that these countries will become members of NATO.” It’s really amateurish to call it “de-escalation” and leave it at that.
Russia could join NATO themselves then bully all fascist nations, subvert it and bring it down from the inside. ’cause why not? NATO is irrelevant and on life support and equally with the numbers of Russophobes in NATO, they would then be driven out of their clubhouse.
The Arab oil embargo was at the American request by Henry K. That was two years after the USA took the dollar off from the gold backing. HK approached and asked King Faisal of Saudie to increase the oil from $2 to $8. King Faisal asked why. HK said, your majesty we have oil but it cost more to extract. To spare you the details, KH said to Faisal to sell the oil in any price you want under the conditions you only sell the oil with the US dollar and all proceeds circle back to the USA banks. So if you think the USA didn’t do that because it would hurt the American industry, I say humbly you are mistaken. Anyone with basic calculas can see that every thing countable has an optimum point for maximum results. Since every country in the western world and its vassals are forced to increase the dollar reserve, therefore, the USA will gladly print more dollars to keep up with the demand, the petrodollar. The USA was broke from Vietnam War, this rescued it.
When HK asked Faisal any thing you would like in return, the reply was I would like to pray in Aqsa. He meant to liberate Jerusalem. They cooked up the 73 war with the condition that Egypt to kickout the Soviets and for Egypt to become pro west. Sadat didn’t need any convincing he was a western asset. When Faisal asked Nixon for the end of the deal he was killed and Nixon was killed politically. And the marathon negotions began. Egypt got nothing other than high prices and listen and oblige to the dictat of IMF and the young and the educated to immigrate.
Now, suddenly the price of gas has gone up manyfolds. Probably was planned decades in advance. In the USA called “deregulation”, in its vassal states is called “privatization and investments”. In the USA and its vassals led to the same thing unbearable prices, low income, middle class eliminated and the poor became beggars. Now the question is will the empire stop trying to keep hegemony over and control of the gas and oil? I don’t think so. The empire owners I see them saying to each other, imagine if we control the the Russian energy. To shore up oil prices and keep it in demand, they have to control it. As you know the electric cars are rolling the streets and with electricity being cheeper we so assumed. Those guys are on a roll and a head of us. We only can run after and follow them.
Electricity is way up. Staying with oil cars would be better off. As they convinced the majority of us electricity is more enviroment friendly, they can easily convince us oil, it turned out to be more friendly. Always the first time is harder. In Jordan, the KW of electricity for the 200 KW of usage has gone up from 5 cents to 7 cents a KW. From 201KW to 600KW from 7 cents to 14.5 cents. From 1000KW and over to 28cents a KW.
The best deal was to those who have solar energy. You can’t have solar panels without connecting to the power company sorry the investor company with the governments agreed and gauarnteing those prices for 25 years. The power company buys the the electricity from the sollar panels owners at 1.4 cent a KW the the owner buys it like everybody else. I don’t know about you guys but I think it is a genius. Imagine you create a society to build everything and when they are done you tell them they are mine you can’t leave and you have to buy from me at the price I decide it is good for me. You have no say, I own you. keep your mouth shut, put a mask on it or I will tape it for you. We live the American nightmare, oops the dream.
We all counting on Russia to save us from slavery. I have full confidence the empire will fail and fail miserably. It’s vassals will regret it for eternity.
Now in the mean while breathe while it is free of charge. It is the darkest before the dawn.
Cheers,
On February 4, at the opening of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, two symbolists – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Secretary General – President Xi should sign the most important documents for the world on the conjugation of the Russian project “Greater Eurasia” / “Great Economic Partnership” (BEP) and the Chinese initiative “Belt and Road” (IPP).
That is, the EAEU + SCO + ASEAN + IPP + …
Together with the Agreement on the Creation of a Single Eurasian Monetary and financial system of a Single financial Market, (including foreign BRICS member countries and all comers))) and the introduction of a New reserve currency of Greater Eurasia.
To begin with, the payment systems of Russia will combine SPFS, China – CIPS (and India – UPI))).
SPFS+ CIPS (+ UPI +) …
Add to this the 5G 6G digital ruble and the yuan, the China- [Kazakhstan-Russia-Belarus]-EU international transport corridor and the Maritime Silk Road of the XXI century, that there are not enough hydrocarbons with the world atom (energy) at all, the new digital economic structure will double and triple consumption… and so on and so forth..
Russian Russians say“ “Песец подкрался незаметно” (forum members, this meme is understandable only to the native speaker of the “great, mighty, truthful and free Russian language– – learn Russian, it will be very useful))).
Russian is the language of the highest literature on the planet. Anglo Zionists don’t like poetry. They like to cry while listening to entertainment music. The “art” of the Empire is made for entertainment (bread and circuses). The West forgot about art a long time ago. Yes, the empire is ugly like in the allegory Palpatine, Vader and the Sith.

In your list of items you didn’t include the current diplomacy occurring between Germany and Russia. The Germans appear to be rattled about the prospect of a war in Ukraine as this would likely mean Nordstream 2 would be kaput. If the pipeline can be certified by the German regulator, rubber stamped by the EU and come into operation, then maybe, with that out of the way, the Germans can be persuaded to put pressure on Ukraine to finally get the Minsk Agreements implemented. This looks the best hope for locking the NATO door on Ukraine forever since the autonomous republics in the Donbas would always veto any overtures to/from NATO by/to a decentralised and federated Ukraine under a new constitution.
Why has Tokayev appointed a confirmed Russophobe as a cabinet minister?

So the purge of Kazakh officials is only an internal turf war of the nation. It changes nothing as far as Russia is concerned. Nothing for Andrei to be happy about!
I’m no expert, but I can say that I don’t sympathize with the figure of Tokayev. And it is also remarkable that the Kazakh oligarchy has become relevant, powerful and a thorn in the side of any revolutionary ruler. In the world, satellite countries with great natural resources have to deal with this issue, with this type of oligarchy and reality described in the movie BRAZIL by Terry Gilliam. Let’s hope for wisdom.
Just a quick note on the Microsoft news. There is no reason today to use Microsoft or Apple products whatsoever. There are plenty of Linux distributions out there for everyone’s taste with a wide range of hardware support and open source software alternatives that are as good or better than proprietary ones. Just a quick sample of OSes: Solus, Manjaro, Fedora or Debian base distributions such as Ubuntu, PureOS. If you are coming from Apple, try Elementary OS, Zorin or Deepin. As for Linux smartphones, there is the PinePhone (which comes with Manjaro Linux with KDE Plasma Mobile but can be made to run whatever Linux distribution you want). Check the Librem range too (from the Purism guys).

Step 2. Press “Subtitles/CC (1) and select the “Russian – (auto generated)” option.
Step 3. Press the “Russian – (auto generated)” option again.
Step 4. Select the “Auto-translate” option and scroll down until “English” appears and select it.
Step 5. Press the “Play” icon to view the video with English subtitles
Thank you – that’s really helpful.

It is strange that the Russian pledge not to invade is being ignored or rejected. RT: “The Kremlin has repeatedly denied that it has plans to invade the former Soviet republic, and insists that any buildup of troops close to the shared border poses no threat.” A rising state, and almost any state, will not disregard a pledge like this, especially in this sui generis situation of an accusation before a factual deed, where not so much “intentions” (I read they don’t know what’s on Putin’s mind), but bad desires or wishes, are supposedly known and therefore condemned. Anyway, we all know persons who don’t keep their word, who have ‘no word,’ and we know how the world regards such people. To think that a remarkable nation with the pride of Russia would choose to stoop to the level of some wretched person and lie about this, to then invade – is absurd. What would Russia be saying, then, to all other countries about itself, and how would this be remembered by all people and by history, and the effects of that? On the other hand, if their “repeated denials” (their word) were accepted in this public setting (as if by strategy), the victory or advantage gained for Ukraine would be real. Speaking of Ukraine, the obviously best thing to do to avoid the invasion it talks about, is to pledge that it will not join NATO. On the other hand, the plan to join NATO could cause the invasion – strange plan, absurd.
US is in a puzzling dilemma: if situation continues as it is, the West will slowly implode whereas China will become the first world power. But the West is unable to stop this trend with whatever brute force methods. So it needs of a limited but significant war to justify extraordinary measures to sever most of the ties with Eurasia and reshape the society towards a new form of capitalism (what Pepe Escobar sometimes refers as techno-feudo capitalism) in woke/green sauce. However, Russia made clear that a small war in Ukraine will not remain small, and previously Iran also made this clear for a war in Middle East. So, what will they do?
@ tranquilocomp on January 19, 2022
“It is strange that the Russian pledge not to invade is being ignored or rejected.”
Not strange at all.
Even more than ignoring/rejecting Russia’s assurances, is the psy-ops launched around the invasion.
a) Presstitute MSM has been reporting non-stop Russia is readying a false flag to justify an attack on 404.
b) Banderastan’s SBU, closely coordinating psyops with CIA, is spreading all kind of rumors, e.g., Russian diplomats and their families are being evacuated from 404. Ukraine’s foreign ministry deny the rumors, regardless, MSM had already done their job,
c) No matter how many times Russia states its right for its troops be anywhere in its territory, US/NATO officials and MSM consider the proximity to the Ukraine’s border a “provocation and escalation.” Of course, the troops deployed by the US/NATO on the 3B+PU, are not a provocation or an escalation, they are there doing the sacred duty for the West to contain the Russian hords.
The agit-prop war on Russia is in full swing. We can expect any kind of misinformation, fake news, lies and deceit from the West, a lot more than just ignoring/rejecting Russia’s word. Not strange at all, it is normal, SOP.

As we know, Russia requested a written response to their security requests, and now Blinken says he will not bring a written response.
Another interesting point from Blinken press conference,: he claims the U.S. is still unclear about what Russia’s central demand is!
Kiev Jew BlikIn is lying (national trait), he/USA is simply afraid to admit it.

That was the plan Russia, because we are not idiots!
How old is the Russian diplomatic service? – almost 5 (five) centuries))), more precisely 473 years.
How long has US diplomacy been around? – only one century: 98 years from the date of foundation (1924).
Who did these “exceptional” assholes decide to beat? Russia?!!

“I cannot forecast to you the action of Russia. It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Russian national interest”? – Winston Churchill? 1939/
Thanks for your reply, Lone Wolf.
The war is now unavoidable.
The thing is. I don’t think it would make any sense from military perspective for Russia to destroy Ukraine and NATO military infrastructure there and leave baltics states and romania NATO infrastructure stand.
NATO would announce that the only way to be protected from Russian is to be in NATO and they would bring even much more military assets to Russian border.
It would be a disaster for Russia.
If Russia would take out Ukraine + Baltics and Romanian NATO assets out they get much stronger position and achieve their core goal to force NATO to go back to 1998 line or disband entirely.
Besides they need to get rid of the anti ballistic missile assets in Poland and Romania anyways.
In war with Ukraine,Russia would be already killing NATO troops there so not taking out baltic assets + Romania makes no sense to me.
After all they declared a war against Russia and Putin once sed that if war is inevitable you have to strike first.
Waiting any longer and letting NATO to rearm is much worse.
Russia tried to talk to this imbeciles for 20 years to agree to peace.
They refused
War is a disaster but they decided to wage one because they are losing the grip over the world
I am not a military expert whatsoever but that is how i see it.
good perspective. Putin is prepared for this galactic challenge. Something uncontrolled could happen or the civilizational paradigm of the planet will change. May God not want to restart humanity! I’d rather hope for a miracle, even if my hair stands on end, scared!!!
All the old colonial powers are in on the current world situation.
To blame the US and Israel solely is ignorant. Does anyone think that the violent ruthless Colonial Empires of Britain, France, Spain The Netherlands just decided one day to become caring human beings?
These Empires were always backed by power hungry families and individuals and as someone else commented are a global force not limited to any one country. It’s obvious in the way that ordinary Americans are treated that they are fodder for the money machine just like everyone else.
Many countries still have Royal Families with huge influence this should be enough information to dispel the illusion that the US is acting alone.
Of course the only way to disempower the cabal is for all humans to rise up and say “no” in our respective countries and altogether globally in any way possible. Covid has forced the beginning of resistance along with the underlying worsening conditions of the working class in the west.
Looking to China and Russia to save us is going to be fraught, we all have to save ourselves while being in solidarity with any country who is standing for human freedom. Otherwise we will become the slaves to an unchallenged dystopian techno fuedal empire that all our western movies have been predicting for the last 70 years.
I do support the axis of resistance in the world countries, but how can they save us if the we don’t want to save ourselves?
It is “ignorant” and stupid not to know that there are only 3 (three) SUBJECTS of politics in the world now, etc., or rather 2.5. These are the Russian Federation, the USA and China.
Only the “island” of the United States and the “north of Eurasia” – the Russian Federation (despite the climate, 65% of the cryolithozone, constant enemy invasions, the length of borders …) are self-sufficient states that are able to protect and provide themselves with all vital resources, primarily energy.
– Russia has a military and military-technical advantage over the United States.
– The United States has an economic, financial (the Fed is the central bank of the world, the dollar is the world currency) and technological (excluding weapons and military – weapons and military equipment and the military-industrial complex – the military-industrial complex, reserves and potential of nuclear weapons) advantage.
– China has economic and potential superiority over the United States and the Russian Federation, but is inferior to them in military power.
Any attack by one of the parties on the other, for example, the United States against the Russian Federation (and the PRC) or the United States against the PRC (and the Russian Federation), or the Russian Federation against the United States – will leave the whole world not to the winner, but to the OBSERVER.
The war between SUBJECTS is not beneficial to either side!
All other states are OBJECTS, vassals of SUBJECTS.
As for the empires, there are now 3 (three): Russian, Chinese and US-US.
All the rest – cause laughter, you still remember the Persian Empire (please, Iran), Egyptian and Hittite, Roman … All the so-called. empires were exclusively (!) colonial, preaching the Catholic genocide of peoples – whoever is not a Christian is not a person.
It’s time to collect stones, that is, to answer for sins and get everyone what they deserve!
Edit
All colonial empires were based on the genocide of the natives, Raab labor and plunder of the resources of the захваченных империалистами земель.
PS
Russia does not belong to them, it only annexed territories, defending itself from enemies and accepting into its family of peoples all the states and peoples that asked for protection.

A couple of Zircon on the Aegis Ashore in R+P, and they will start seeing very clearly. Blinken is a neo-con through and through, a rabid Russophic/Sinophobic, a peg in the Washington, D.C. establishment, not a bright light, mind you. Saker, allow for a contrarian in our midst. Permission please to deviate from the doom-and-gloom I have been finding lately in all my favorite blogs (MoA, Saker, UR, ZH) and in the journeys they send me to.
I need some hopefulness, even if I will get it from myself reading my own, and only, and possibly trashed, comment in the net.
Let me explain myself. It is all about the abundant rays of hope I have been sensing and seeing since my heart started to prevail over my mind.
Some bluntness is required before I lose your attention.
Russian engineers were able to convince D. Rogozin that, in the process of developing the weapon concepts of the VVP March 2018 speech, they stumbled upon technology that would ensure first strike capability with no, or minimum, damage from retaliation. The engineers agreed to more testing, but made it clear that they will not start production until an intense campaign to convince the Americans was carried out by the leadership to persuade them, and the whole West, to accept the PROPOSAL (pardon the scream, see below, from now on only “The P”).
Not so subtle threats were made by engineers like: – leaving shop to pursue careers with churches, mosques and synagogues; – some single people said that they would prefer to go plant trees in Siberia than to be associate with the immorality of the weaponry.
When accused of being unpatriotic they retorted that the same phenomenon might be happening in America, that that is the only explanation they can find for the performance of the F-35 and the littoral ships. They added the ship rammings of the navy, kids avoiding STEM careers and paying attention only to cellphones, etc. They agreed though that the phenomenon in America must still be mostly at an unconscious level.
Rogozin fell from his chair when told that the engineers are expecting more competence from the leadership now than the country received from Stalin around the 1950s when he failed miserably in convincing Truman to stop the development of ICBMs. (Solzhenitsyn smile could be heard in the room; I know, nobody can hear a smile, but until last week nobody could manage, as Ryabkov did in that press conference, to express gloating with the eyes only). The engineers were told that VVP is trying to engage China and India offering technology transfer. Apparently China said it does not need the Poseidon to deal with Australia, they will attempt trade again in the near future. India said it cannot accommodate a Greek god in their Pantheon. Both were very receptive, however, to joint command which worked so well keeping the species around in 1962 with Archipov.
Brevity is called for again, I can feel your impatience. I advise spending sometime with Job ( the Old Testament one, not the Apple one) whose reading is mandatory for the whole leadership since VVP took over from that guy who was too friendly with Bill Clinton. Iranians and Syrians are also experimenting with the practice.
The Godfather-like -The Proposal -The P. Russians offered to renounce the weaponry in exchange for a credible path forged together that will eliminate once and for all this nonsense of mass destruction. We could still have fights, of course, but anybody who is for fighting should be present in the battlefields, no more this business of air conditioning for the top guys who are in no danger and getting the best pensions.
This is what is meant by “to employ a military technical approach”. It is either agreeing with The P., or the highway.
Some more indications of hope in bullet form:
– What is it with the recent fanfare with the TPNW (Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons) when they tried to keep it hidden from us since it became law (?) in last January?
– From the ultimate insider, D. Ignatius, “if Putin had problems with our bases in Romania and Poland, nuclear bombers around, NATO expansion, etc. all he had to do is to is ask us, we do not understand why he keeps “pushing an open door!”.
– Pentagon general admitted calling the PLA to straighten out something either Trump or Biden did regarding either Wuhan or Taiwan. I cannot understand all the criticism toward a guy who instantly become one of my heroes. More of the same: – the general who told Dick Cheney to take a walk, that Dick would be able to bomb Iran only over his dead body (in my failing memory either Fallon or MacMullen, but these appear to have been admirals); – general Mattis who almost recovered from his Fallujah image with me after having suspended the Douma attack in the morning-after after the Russian air force took to the air in Khmeimim; – the next to last example is of that anonymous (to me) general who, in Kosovo, told Wesley Clark he was going to disobey the command he was given because he was not about to start the …..III with the Russians (please do not ask me to clarify, you told me not to trust Wikipedia). Last the guy (sorry, can’t remember the name) that told Obama and Kerry that they could not have a no-flying zone over Syria. It should be obvious to anyone that there (is?) are plenty of influential people in the Pentagon prepared to march with the Russian engineers.
– You might be thinking of squashing my enthusiasm, nipping in the bud my panglossian irreality, by reminding me of them, those who created the English language oxymoron the size of the Everest, the intelligence agencies. I will have you know that the Director of the main one was recently in Moscow telling that he already got the analysis staff on board on accepting the The P., but he is having problems with operations, and might even be unable to cancel some ongoing missions, and begged for understanding. He asked for the same treatment provided in the past for English speakers in the cauldrons around the Donbas and in Syria. He was assured that there will not be any cauldrons in the future, and the all huffing and puffing at the border, with ten times the military might needed for the job, is just an attempt to persuade the other side to stop the mistakes they have been perpetrating before and since Minsk 2. The Director understood and promised utmost cooperation in the future. The meeting ended when no one on the Russian side was able to recover their voice after hearing in the room sounds making the names like Givi, Zakarchenko and Motorola. I myself have my heart blocking my mind and throat with images of those days. God bless.
– Lastly, the oligarchs. How can anyone be so naive and blind like me! Let me shock you first with the example of VVP reaching a very workable arrangement with his in Russia. In China, President Xi, after the Jack Ma failed IPO and the cooling off of the housing market with Evergrande, has earned unforgettable respect. In America, which is the oligarchs formidable bastion, the most popular one has recently divorced his wife, and he is trying hard to change career from ms-dos and healthcare to farming, check the amount of land he is recently buying. Other is saying that he is satisfied with the 10(ten) trillion bucks he already has in his portfolio. The Doyen of the group promised to support legislation that will result in him paying an amount in taxes 5% more than his secretary. Prepare yourself for the the next two shocks. 1. Credible sources vouch that, after hearing in more details about what the Poseidon could provoke in Wall Street if deployed near the harbour, and the possible skills of the Burevestinik mirvs (pardon me Gordog at MoA, I am only trying to make a point here) in finding bunkers in America and farms in Paraguay and New Zealand, a list of mandatory choices for people and policies for the next President was quickly drawn, list that include Sheila Bair as supremo at the Treasury, Michael Hudson to liquidate the FED and free to work with and apply his ideas on rent, money supply and debt forgiveness; the experimentation with China development model, which resulted in 700 million more people eating owing in part to the introduction of Brazil Luis Inacio Lula da Silva “three meals a day approach” after Deng Xiao Ping allowed Gordon Gekko in; the extinction of patents related to medicines; the centralization of bio-research in only one place with a truly international character and the concomitant decommissioning of all bio-labs in the planet (an aside, DARPA is trying to reach the Bulgarian journalist D. Gaytandzhieva to help with the location of these labs because the NIH is refusing to share the list). The second promised shock: 2. The London Rothschilds are studying the release of strings on the BIS and the European bank; they even promised to help with the dismantling of the EU after reading Francis Lee articles in the Saker. Still floating in the air without credible confirmation is that the Pope, when told about the Russian The P., asked if his going back to washing the infidels feet once a year and allowing again his flock some access to kiss his hands, may help the Americans to accept The P.. Still in the category of non-confirmed rumors, the Queen seems willing to release the very legal claims the Crown has over all the land the British once set their foot on ( I am so happy I might not need to pay title insurance next time I buy a house).
As you can see good omens abound.
Skip the following if you are pressed for time, but I feel the need to share the WaPo of today (01/19) (reading of which is mandated by wife trying to get me some balance for the views in the blogs above) :
– the 10 trillion dollar guy saying, page A16, that he will be favoring investment in the environment (not clear whether preventing warming, cooling or both); in the same page Exxon-Mobil commits to net zero greenhouse emissions by 2050;
– JR Bolton op-ed article over which you do not need to be a Freud or a Jung to smell desperation;
– the climax is at page A20 where some “United Progressives” ad manages, behold!, to be more confusing than the American Senate it seeks to influence.
Please do not read sarcasm or pretension above. I am a legal alien retiree approaching the beginning of his eight decade on Earth, on a good pension, wonderful wife and family, living in the east coast trying his best, without the help of an editor, to share signs of hope.
The motto I have been trying, and failing miserably, to live by, lately, was made explicit to me yesterday. It is a phrase in the biography of St Antony of Egypt by St Athanasius:
“He was never troubled, his soul being calm, and he never look gloomy, his mind being joyous.”
Love you all. Ziul78

“The USA is a society in which its children are forced to place their hands on their chests and recite a pledge of allegiance “
“”With No Progress In Talks Russia Will Have To React”
Most practices in the coercive social relations self-misrepresented as “The United States of America” are attempts to reinforce conformance and immersion in methods/perceptions which facilitate conformance, as has been the case from inception “We the people hold these truths to be self-evident” refers, or Mr. Simon’s song My little town if you prefer.
Some attempting to reinforce conformance tend to the view that the “benefits” of doing so accrue solely to themselves, an illusion reinforced by derivatives of “exceptionalism”.
However the benefits of their efforts also accrue to their opponents particularly in matters of “perception management” – sometimes known as the one does the set-up; and one does the strike routine.
A useful tool in “perception management” is to act in a way that you always intended to act at a time when you intended to act, which the opponent will “interpret” as being in reaction to something that he has done, the content of which being a function of “exceptionalism” and projection.
Another useful tool is to do nothing when your opponent expects you to react and allow the lacunae to be bridged by the opponents beliefs – an example of opponents bridging doubt by belief to attain self-confirmation – a tool that is consistently resorted to in present contexts, when evangelised known as “fake news”, Mr. Rove’s observation on “We are an Empire..” refers, although Mr. Rove apparently omitted behaviours such as impatience and tendencies of premature ejaculations predicated upon attempts at increasing the noise/signal ratio.
