“Drunken Ukrainian Troops Shoot Donbass Beachgoers… Just for Fun”
The residents of Novgorodskoe in Donbass planned on spending a warm August day on the beach, but unfortunately fell target to Ukrainian troops, who were shooting locals for pleasure, local wire agency Novosti Donbassa reported.
“Troops attacked the security guard of the pond and broke his ribs. They were shooting the people from the opposite side of the pond with submachine guns! Beachgoers with children were running in all directions!” information agency Regnum quoted local residents as writing about the accident on the social networks.
The military command has detained three shooters, Regnum reported. They all appeared to be drunk while shooting and the main reason for opening fire was allegedly for their own pleasure.
No injuries or casualties were reported.
The authorities of Dzerzhinsk, the nearest city to Novgorodskoe settlement, along with local military command have held an urgent meeting over shooting incident. The members of the OSCE monitoring group also attended the meeting, Novosti Donbassa reported.
According to social media reports, the local residents are concerned over possible reopening of military operations in the area on the upcoming weekend. Officials recommended the citizens from Dzerzhinsk outskirts to leave their homes for the next couple of days.

The problem with that is two-fold.One, its a city of several hundred thousand people.How could the Novorossians provide a decent life for that many people for possibly months or even years in refugee camps (see Palestine for examples of that).And second if you remove everyone from the border areas you are helping to ethnically cleanse yourself.The Ukie’s get their wish “a Russian-frei land”.So no, the answer isn’t to create more refugee’s the answer is to crush the Ukie forces and drive them from all Donetsk and Lugansk (to start with).
One temporary answer might be to locate all the Ukie prisoners in those areas working on rebuilding projects.And then announce in Banderastan if they want to be responsible for killing their own soldiers keep the shelling up.That wouldn’t of course bother the junta any.But the families of those prisoners might not like that.And might take their anger over it directly to Poroshenko personally.
Your answer means to not go with Minsk. Also, it is not a question of Novorossiya paying for something. They are just a proxy for Russia. The whole thing is up to the Kremlin. Both sides in the war are proxies.

And I disagree with Ann about whether the whole thing is up to the Kremlin. I think it is, at least from the Novorossiyan/Russian side, and this view is likely the normal one in both Russian and Donbass society. It is a proxy war, and the personalities in the proxy have limited meaning.
The ATO is a war of Ethnic Cleansing. The Resistance is inherently a defensive war, not a retreat to safe places.
Empty cities and towns are easily overrun with armor. The fact that people live in the locales, though they are bombarded, is a barrier to complete loss of the town. See Shyrokyne, a village that had no people left in it, bombarded by both sides in order to win it, but ultimately, a graveyard for militia when it became a free-fire zone.
This war is very difficult because people live in the battle zones. But it would be more beneficial to the Ukie style and capacity if a zone is empty of civilians. Look at the Donetsk airport and Peski village area. Free fire zone for a year, dystopian environment.
It seems counter-intuitive. But not if you are fighting for your land. That’s the issue.

And making an area Russian-fee would be a great mistake.

As a German-born woman, I feel particularly bad about seeing Russians having to go through that sh** all over again. When I see the old women who remember my people ravaging through Russia, I just want to keep crying.
I saw a picture of a woman of approx. my own age (67) about a year or two ago, sitting in her cellar sheltering and surrounded by all her preserves for the winter. So much love, care and work goes into that, I know. There she sat, comforted by her pillows, looking totally devastated. I just had to think of myself there, in that desperate position because I’m quite “old-fashioned” for a Westerner and also preserve for the winter. I could identify so much with her. Poor woman, poor people, my heart cries out for them.

Dear God Above – to see America supporting this carnage!. What has the country come to? What sort of people are sitting around in that country, watching their tv’s and saying nothing?
My partner and I have recently informed American companies we were dealing that we will no longer deal with anything or anyone American. We are “”boycotting” America and Israel. We are only us. But it’s all we can do. If more people around the world would do this, maybe the sleeping sheeple who can vote and take to the streets in America would wake up and do something to stop the psychopaths currently ruling them.

According to social media reports, the local residents are concerned over possible reopening of military operations in the area on the upcoming weekend. Officials recommended the citizens from Dzerzhinsk outskirts to leave their homes for the next couple of days.
This is not the first accident in Donbass, involving the Ukrainian troops. On the August, 9, a soldier, driving a truck struck and killed the boy from the village of Georgiyevka in the former Donetsk Region.

I saw an interesting Poll from Russia (I think it was on Fort Russ,I didn’t save the link ) showed that 52% of people today had a positive view on Stalins achievements. It appears the more the West becomes fascist, the more the people remember fondly the greatest fascist destroyer.A few more Western attacks on Russia and Stalin will end up with Putin’s approval numbers.
From I know about Stalin he was a monstrous tyrant — but the problem is that I don’t really know what I ‘know’ because all I’ve heard could be total fabrication, like the crap I’ve heard about the US all my life (although I doubt he was an angel either).
I’ve lived my life in the Land of Lies (but don’t know if USSR, Russia, or other countries are much better, with any certainty). So to be honest, if asked what I know about Stalin, or even USSR, I have say ‘almost nothing’ — and I’m too old and don’t have the time, energy, or resources to do the needed research to find out. what you alluded to is true, we don’t really know how much of what we “know” as history is really the truth. However, currently there is one big difference: in the USA and many parts of Europe, people truly still believe their own MSM, while people from ex-communist countries, as well as China, have a more skeptical view of their own press due to their recent history. What I mean to say is that majority of people in the West have full faith in their media ( which turns out to be just propaganda sources), while Rest Of World citizens have a healthy dose of skepticism with their own media.
I’d say Stalin was certainly a dictator.And many bad,tragic,things happened under his rule.But I also think the question should be asked,if some of them were because he had no good choice.Also,there were many accomplishments during his rule.His policies (humane or not) made the USSR an industrial superpower.He accomplished what no Russian Empire ruler had ever been able to do (bring a nation of peasants to become a modern industrial state).He also,even with many mistakes,and through great cost,saved the USSR (and the World) from fascism.And defeated,not single-handedly.But also not far from it,the greatest military invasion in history.Those are the accomplishments that are admired in today’s Russia.People aren’t thinking they want a Stalin back.But are saying they want a man strong enough to do the “heavy-lifting” to reform the economy and give Russia the protection she needs.And the one man in modern Russian/Soviet history able to do those two things was Stalin.Which accounts for his approval ratings in Russia.
