[This analysis was written for the Unz Review]
First, let’s begin with a few (apparently unrelated) recent news items:
- The latest US PR disaster in Venezuela shows that the AngloZionist Empire truly is agonizing. While this is hardly the first that that a US “special operation” goes down in an embarrassing failure, but even by US standards this latest disaster in Venezuela is painfully humiliating. Even more humiliating are the reports that Russian Special Operators helped the Venezuelans capture the US Americans.
- Then came the news that the 5th generation techno-marvel coming out of the US MIC could not even fly at sustained supersonic speeds (just as a reminder, normally the concept of “5th” generation not only implies the ability to fly faster than the speed of sound, it also implies the ability to do so (for a lengthy period of time) without even the use of afterburners, in the so-called “supercruise” mode!).
- In repeated simulations of a war between the US on one hand, and either China or Russia on the other the RAND Corporation found that “the US repeatedly “gets its ass handed to it“.
These apparently unrelated news items all have one thing in common: the illustrate how weak and ineffective the US armed forces have become over the past couple of decades. And while, for the sake of brevity, I chose just three examples, the truth is that there are hundreds of similar stories all over the Internet, all pointing to the same reality: most of the US military is in a terminal state of disrepair.
Let’s look at the various services one by one:
- The USN‘s entire surface fleet is now compromised due to its carrier-centric structure. The USN also lacks modern cruise missiles. Entire classes of surface ships are now either outdated (frigates) or have major design failures (LCS).
- The USAF flies mostly Cold War jets, often modernized, but all in all, it is an outdated fleet, especially when compared to Russian or Chinese 4th++ and 5th generation aircraft. In fact, the absolute disaster of the F-35 program means that for the first time in its history the US aircraft will be qualitatively outgunned by its likely adversaries. Even US AWACS and other reconnaissance aircraft are now threatened by Russian and Chinese very long range anti-air missiles (both ground and air launched).
- As for the US Army and Marine Corps, the embarrassing disasters in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere prove that the US ground forces are basically only able to protect themselves, and even that not very well.
- Then there are the recently created Space Forces which exist only on paper and the US Coast Guard which is basically irrelevant in a major war.
Finally, there is the US Special Operations Command, which is not one of the service branches but only a “functional” and “unified combatant” command, but which is often thought of as a separate branch of the armed forces. These forces always look great on propaganda rolls, but the truth is that these putatively “best in the word” (what else?!) forces have yet to achieve even their first real, meaningful, operational success anywhere (at least to balance out their long history of abject failures, from Desert One, to Grenada, to Afghanistan, to Libya, etc.). And a minor firefights against a much inferior adversary do not qualify.
Now let me ask the crucial question: what does that mean for Israel?
Well, first, it means that the “poor” Israelis now have to fly with the F-35 as their flagship fighter. In most cases, I would trust the Israelis to modify/upgrade their F-35’s to get rid of at least the worst “features”, but in the case of the F-35 this is not even theoretically possible due to profound design flaws (for those in need of an “official” refresher on the catastrophic reality of the F-35 program, please read this official US government report which includes 276 “critical” deficiencies). Sooner rather than later, the Israeli F-35s will meet the export version of the Su-35, the much cheaper but high-performing Mig-29M/MiG-35 or even a Russian Su-57 and then they will be hopelessly outgunned (even if the outcome of any air-to-air combat cannot be reduced to comparing aircraft, you need a full and much more complex picture to model possible outcomes). Currently, the Su-35 has only been exported to China, but future potential operators could include Egypt, Algeria and Turkey. As for the MiG-29M/MiG-35, countries such as Egypt and Syria have expressed interest.
Speaking of Syria, so far we have seen several cases of Israeli aircraft intercepted and forced to withdraw by Russian Su-35Ss, and not a single case of the opposite. There appears to be at least one case, though not confirmed officially (yet?) of a Russian Su-35S chasing away an USAF F-22 (once the Su-35 and the F-22 are in close enough proximity, the latter has very few hopes of survival).
Can you guess what else the Israelis are going to eventually meet in the skies over the Middle-East? Possibly an export variant of the MiG-31 or even Russian MiG-31BMs (with their 400km R-37 air-to-air missiles). In fact, the range, speed, radar and weapons of this aircraft would make it possible for Russia to maintain combat air patrols over, say, Syria while operating from southern Russia.
I dwell on these aircraft because in the past, and just like the US, the Israelis have always relied on the following combination of factors to prevail:
- A surprise attack (more or less justified by a false flag or by preemption)
- The destruction of enemy aircraft when they are still on the ground
- Air superiority to protect for rotary-wing aircraft and advancing armor
True, the Israelis still have a large force of modified F-16/15/18 (14 squadrons, over 300 aircraft), but just like their US counterparts, they are rapidly becoming dated. In sharp contrast to the dated Israeli Air Force, Israeli neighbors are all acquiring more and more advanced air defense systems along with EW and battle management systems. In other words, this is a very bad time for Israel to reply on F-35s for the foreseeable future.
Right now, the Israelis are regularly bombing Syria, but with very little result other than the mantric, and no doubt therapeutic, proclamations of Jewish superiority over the Arabs. And, predictably, the Ziomedia watching folks in Israel and the West are very impressed. The Syrians, the Iranians and Hezbollah, not so much…
Just like the US MIC put all its eggs into the F-35 basket, so did the Israelis put all their national security eggs into the eternal willingness and capability of Uncle Shmuel to come and rescue them with money, weapons or even soldiers.
The willingness is still here. But the capability is quickly disappearing!
Furthermore, there are two more countries which are entering a period of severe instability which will also affect the security of Israel: Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
In the case of Turkey, the relationship between the US and Turkey is about as low as it ever has been, and there is a very real possibility that, with US sanctions and threats, the Turks might decide to give up on the F-35 and turn to a Russian aircraft, most likely an export version of the Su-35. While that would be (politically) bad news for the US MIC, it would be absolutely terrible news for the Israelis whose relationship with Turkey is generally rather bad. So far, Turkey is still an obedient member of NATO, with all that entails, but the weaker the AngloZionist Empire becomes, the bigger the chances of some kind of political clash between the US and NATO on one hand, and Turkey on the other.
As for the Saudis, they have already been actively courting Moscow because they have realized that Russia has basically replaced the USA as the number one regional power. The total failure of the US to provide meaningful assistance to the Saudis in Yemen and the inability of the US air defenses to protect the Saudi oilfield from Houthi missile strikes has convinced the Saudis that from now on, they need to talk to the Russians directly and often.
True, the US still does have the appearance of real power in the Middle East. Just take a look at this page from the latest IISS Military Balance. There are still a lot of CENTCOM equipment and personnel in the region. But try to look beyond these fancy graphics and ask yourself: what are these forces doing? what are they actually achieving?
I would submit that most of what they do is to try to impress the locals, make money (by all sorts of military contracts) and, last but not least, they try to protect themselves. And yes, the US’s “footprint” in the Middle-East is still big, but that is also what makes US forces so vulnerable to attacks. The Iranians, for example, have made it clear that they see all these facilities and forces as “targets” which, following the high-precision Iranian missile attacks following the murder of General Suleimani, means that Iran now has the means to inflict major damage on any regional force crazy enough to mess with Iran.
Of course, every time somebody writes that the USA or Israel are not invincible, there is always at least one person saying something like “yeah, maybe, but they got nukes and they will use them if they are threatened”. To this my reply is different for the case of USA and for the case of Israel.
In the case of the USA, while any first use of nukes will result in a political suicide for the Empire, no US adversary in the Middle-East has the capability to retaliate in kind against the USA.
In the case of Israel, however, things are even much more serious.
First, we need to remember that for obvious geographical reasons, the Israelis cannot use nukes on attacking forces, at least not forces anywhere near the Israeli border. Still, if seriously threatened, the Israelis could claim that another “Holocaust” is about to happen and that the “defense of Jewish blood” leaves them no option but to use nukes on, say, Iranian or Syrian targets. I submit that the worse the damage inflicted by any such Israeli nuclear strikes, the stronger the resolve of the Arabs and/or Iranians will be. That is the problem with deterrence: once it has failed, it has totally failed and there is usually no “plan B”.
Does that mean that a major attack on Israel is inevitable?
No, not at all. For one thing, both the USA and Israel can still inflict immense damage against any country, or coalition of countries, which would threaten them (and they don’t need to resort to nukes to achieve this). The fact that neither the USA nor Israel can achieve anything resembling a “victory” in no way implies that attacking the US or Israel is easy or safe. Both countries have plenty of conventional military power left to extract a huge price from any attacker.
Secondly, it is precisely because the US and Israel have a lot of military power left that their adversaries will favor a gradual and slow weakening of the AngloZionists over an open confrontation. For example, while it is true that the US did not have the stomach to attack Iran following the Iranian retaliatory missile strike, it is also true that the Iranians carefully “tuned” their response so as not to force the US to strike back. The truth is that right now neither country wants an open war.
The same can be said of Syria and Hezbollah who have been very careful not to do anything which would force the Israelis (or the US) to escalate from the current symbolic/pin-prick attacks to real, meaningful, air and missile strikes.
Right now the USA can still print enough dollars to maintain Israel afloat, but we already know that while throwing cheap money at a problem is often very tempting, this does not constitute a sustainable strategy, especially when the actual military capabilities of both the USA and Israelis are rapidly degrading. Right now, nobody knows how much longer the last openly racist regime on the planet will last, but it is exceedingly unlikely that the Zionist entity will be able to survive without the Empire to prop it up. In other words, sooner rather than later, the “Jewish state of Israel” will have no better chances of survival than, say, the “Independent State of Kosovo” or, for that matter, the “Independent Ukraine”: they are all the ugly metastases of the Empire which by themselves are simply not viable.
The Saker
Israel has thousands of friends. al Nusra, al Qaeda, ISIS, terrorist Kurds and any other sociopaths the CIA and Mossad can arm and train.
She will always have some US help. After all, she owns the US Congress and MSM.
Larchmonter445
Israel through the Rothschild’s also owns the US Federal Reserve, created in 1913, and in direct violation of the US Constitution.
Yes, the US Empire is slowly collapsing and the question is how all of this will end. Will the Empire use nukes to prevent a collapse ? History has shown us that empires in collapse always play dirty. And Israel ? According to reports, it has some 200 nukes. Years back, Israel has boasted that it can nuke any European capital if it wanted to. The question is will it if things start going bad. We shall see.
B.F.,
You raise my very fears.
Here in the US, I am watching the collapse of empire happen in real time. The U.S. is coming apart at the seams. The question of collapse is not “if” at this point, but “when.” And “when” may not be far off.
When, “when” happens, one would hope that the U.S. leaders at that time would act rationally. But there is no indication that they will do act the least bit rationally. In fact, the opposite is true.
Just yesterday, Congress began to entertain legislation to “sanction China” if China refuses to “account” to the United States for their “role” in the virus.
In China, “maintaining face” is very important. Congress is basically saying to China, “prostrate yourself before the United States or suffer our wrath.”
This is not only not “rational,” it just plain crazy. It is especially crazy, when one realizes that the disastrous response to the virus by the United States results in the following statistic. The U.S. has four per cent of the world population and a third of its virus cases. And that, in turn, resulted only after China warned the U.S. on January 3rd of the problem and the U.S. did absolutely nothing for over two months to prepare.
And that is the problem. The leadership of the country is not only not “wise, it is not even “rational.”
A still powerful empire possessing nuclear weapons is in the process of collapsing and that empire is ruled by lunatics.
That is really something to fear.
they may not be any off these things you mention, but they definitely are COWARDS – and probably scared of how everything is evolving as we speak
Americans generally are probably the most fearful people I have ever seen. Their ‘leaders’ like Trump or Obama are even more cowardly – just look at Trump’s body language – loud mouth, childbearing hips, but not much confidence (you can’t buy it).
Please note, however, that the US has no idea how many deaths can be attributed to covid 19. The testing is not specific enough and the CDC has ordered doctors to lie.
Some retained US help maybe, enough US help.? Hopefully not.
The last sentence pretty much described it. As for the USA, calling it an “Empire” is wrong – they have never been an empire and will never be one. For an Empire, in full meaning of it – it has to have been in existence for centuries, if not millenia. This pretender has been in existence for less that 30 years (basically since the collapse of the Soviet Union), after which they have IMAGINED themselves to be some kind of an empire, the sole “superpower” on the planet. Unfortunately for them they never had the aptitude or even the basic skills to be an “empire”. Just a bunch of agressive, greedy shmocks imagining themselves to be “exceptional”! One can put any ending to that, such as an “exceptional garbage”, for a start. As for Israhell, well, has anyone tried to have a look at it? I suggest you do. On Youtube there are lots of downloads from individuals who are walking down the streets of Tel Aviv and filming and commenting. Well worth a look at the sheer ugliness of the place, (despite billions of american taxpayers dollars that’s been lavished on it annually), high fences around each place, narrow filthy streets and the whole atmosphere of abject hostility. Even to each other! That place has no future..
‘The last sentence pretty much described it’. Talking about ‘sentences’ Joe and Donald, both would ‘sentence’ you but one cannot finish a sentence and the other cannot make one complete without using ‘fantastic’, ‘amazing’,’incredible’ or ‘greatest’ attached to the first person singular.
Secondly regarding the USA: Any civilization that cannot reverse itself is doomed.
No Civilization has intentionally reversed itself but they have all free wheeled backwards

Actually most empires do not last thousands of years. several hundreds perhaps but not thousands. of course we all know of Rome and China but these are exceptions. in Europe/west the following empires have ruled in sequence in roughly the last 800 years.
1. The Ottoman
2. The Portugese
3. Spanish
4. Dutch
5. French
6. British
7. US
Yes there were challengers who never quite made it to top dog eg Germany, Russia, Japan, Austria, even Sweden but I am talking only of the empires which for a brief period were dominant.
Most have a steady rise lasting 150 years or so, another 50-100 at the peak of their power, followed by 200 years of slow decline and they are challenged by the rising empire. The British empire appeared to last longer but in reality it had two peaks – gaining from the collapse of France.
The US more or less follows this pattern, beginning in 1780s and by 1920 it really was the dominant empire, certainly economically, although the UK still kept the trappings along with pomp and circumstance. After the troubled 30 years, common when there is a change of world dominance, the US reigned supreme. In the cold war era, UK and France were faded old empires and Russia the challenger.
So since 1950 the USA has been the unquestioned top dog, but now has two challengers – re-emerged Russia and economic juggernaut China. So if we just look at history and average stays as top dog the USA has passed its peak and will shortly follow the British empire as the faded old empire giving way to I think China, probably not Russia.
Dear Saker,
respectfully disagree with your notation:

Uhmm, the subsidy truffle hound known as the pretendingeer Felon musk is just as serious as the f-35.
I suggest you snoop around outside the msm, his teslemmings and their adoration of him.
TSLAQ and fakex is only there to enrich him by taxpayer money and every true “genius” have left that sinking ship.
@plainsite have all the legal papers and @evdefender have “spied” on him for years making a documentary about his real business, @wallstreetcynic (Jim Chanos) and @TESLAcharts(unknown earlier fortune 500 leader) are 2 other sources you should check out, whatever you feel/believe about Felon subsidytrufflehound musk the numbers do not lie. It is the biggest ponzi since Enron or ever, even his biggest fans are starting to leave the sinking ship after his 700million payday and covid panic(so called conspiracies). Try to figure out why he so desperatly need his factory open and forced his worker back even as they fear for their lives and against county decree😉(It is not my opinion that they are afraid they told a few real journalists.) I personally laughed when i remembered what the lockdown would do to Felons companies, simply bc i dont like liars and narsicists that will walk over dead bodies for a $.(see if you can find out what insurance company D&O insures his board to, that is even funnier😂) So all in all i do not think starlink is anything else that a mirage to get the attention away from the serious problems TSLAQ is in, just like his AI pretend full self drive hustle is.
here is the real teslachart acc, the teslemmings have lots of fake ones trying to discredit math and reason: https://twitter.com/TESLAcharts/status/1260580335370285057

A Norwegian with experience regarding white collar crime.
Per, I hope you are right. Felon Elon has been quite the buffoon with his exploding luxury cars. But an engineer by the name of Cyril Bourke took measurements of radiofrequency radiation in frequencies above 10 GHz a few weeks ago in Australia’s outback with no telecommunications infrastructure nearby and found quite high levels of background radiation 2,000 microwatts/m2. https://theemfguy.com/metercrisis/ He is seeking other possible explanations, but the new 5G satellites being tested for military use stand out as by far the most probable cause.
I have also been noticing disruption of bird migrations during the past month. The barn swallows returned to Japan on March 18, a bit earlier than in prior years, but that is to be expected from recent trends. Since then, though, I’ve noticed many are failing to return to areas they formerly inhabited in summer. Furthermore, several other species that migrate from southeast Asia that should have turned up here by now are absent. I hope my fears are proven wrong. But profound effects on the Earth’s ecology have been the biggest concern among bioelectromagnetic specialists that have been warning about potential impacts of these satellites. The ground-based antennas, while a danger to those living nearby, have a limited scope of impact, by contrast.
It would be the kind of spectacular fiasco this guy has proven himself capable of, though, wouldn’t it.
If Israel goes rogue and uses nuclear weapons, Hezbollah and Iran could retaliate with their nuclear weapons stored in Dimona Nuclear Research Center, in the Negev. Any country with missile retaliatory capacity able to reach Israel in effect has nuclear weapons.
Nuclear warheads don’t detonate, if they are destroyed by an explosion.
Only a great fool would spread radioativity all over the region, and one thing you can be sure of, is that the Iranians are not idiots. Turning Israel’s nukes into on-the-spot “dirty bombs” (no explosions, just release of plutonium, etc.) is a major weapon of mass distraction, so the Iranians would never touch it.
However, there were, and still may be, reasons to worry about Israel’s storage of warheads. 10 years ago, there were stories of failing air conditioners and those nukes need to be kept cool.
The inability of the rest of the world to deflect and/or neutralize an all out nuclear weapon barrage from the UU/UK/France has been the main reason that the opposing powers have had to tolerate (at least publicly) the belligerence of the west. The equilibrium of this aspect of the balance of military power has changed. Either countermeasures have become effective enough to nullify the threat, or people have decided that if they are going to die they are going to make their own terms (can’t blame them).
The ‘air war only’ option is completely off the table now. Partly because of the greatly increased air defense capabilities of opposing forces, and partly because of the proven certainty of effective retaliation against almost all of the airfields and aircraft carriers which are within stiking distance of opposing targets.
As far as space based military assets are concerned, well theories abound. However, the Americans regularly pay the Russians for reliable space launches, Iran has placed satellites in orbit, India has placed satellites in orbit, China now launches whatever the hell it feels like, and the Russians always have.
As far as Palestine, anyone remember the crusades? How did that end?
Regarding humanity and the bomb, I am always mindful of the man dropping thirty floors from the Empire State and murmuring to himself, “So far, so good”
Its 100 seconds to midnight.

How does one write an article of over 2000 words on this topic and miss the fact that the zionist entity is not a separate entity from the American Empire, but the latter’s colonial overlord and master? In which other country on this planet do politicians desiring election to high office have to compulsorily grovel and swear fealty to what is allegedly a separate country altogether? Exactly as the British imperalists used to march off their colonial subjects to fight the white man’s wars in Europe, the zionist entity owns the American Empire and will fight to the last drop of American blood, whether that’s of a soldier or a mercenary like those captured by Venezuela the other day.
What are talking about? Nobody knows better than The Saker how much control is exerted over the US by apartheid Zionist entity of Israel. And he writes about it (in detail) frequently. Good grief.
you mean The US Military Farces
Bernie, in the 60’s, me and my buddies in the USAF referred to it as the US Air Farce. I’m sure it’s simply ludicrous now and more openly criminal – bombing civilian infrastructure (apartment buildings, weddings, funerals, hospitals, schools), transporting stinking takfiri crazies and their families – and reading about it in alt media. Now there’s no doubt what’s going on, yet, USAF personnel stay, perform, do their drugs, and bury their heads in the sand. They don’t deserve to be called military personnel. Terrorists is more fitting title.
Patrick
PDB, your comment sort of reminds of Air America. Remember that?
Hey, its been a few years since they made mistakes like flying over America with live, armed nukes …. and what’s worse is that they apparently didn’t know they were doing it at the time. Makes you think twice about what those contrails up there might really be carrying …. by mistake.
And, at least according to what they tell us, its been decades since they’ve accidentally dropped a nuclear bomb on America. So they say.
Andrei My Orthodox Brother,
When it comes to the characters in question never underestimate them. They will find another superpower to corrupt who will protect them. Maybe it will be Russia or even China. In the beginning the Soviet Union was their sponsor. I am not an Alt-Righter who thinks the Jews have some kind of supernatural powers of intelligence and deception but they are a tenacious bunch and they are survivors. They are also the single most powerful cultural group in the world of international finance and trade. If the US goes the way of the USSR circa 1991 I don’t see how that means the cultural group in question becomes amy less powerful in the world of finance and trade. If anything they may become more powerful as national governments become more indebted to the cabal. A breakdown of national governments and borders and even a temporary period of bloody conflict and anarchy could be just what this cabal is trying to accomplish to pave the world for their Messiah who of course Orthodox Christians will recognize as being not a messiah at all but the Antichrist. I think the state of Israel was created for that purpose. When they destroy the Dome of the Rock to rebuild the Temple of Solomon then we will know that the reign of the terrible Antichrist is at hand. I don’t see the State of Israel going anywhere unless it is destroyed by a major conflict between the Jews who live there (which is possible given the tensions between Secular Jews and Orthodox Jews and Haredi Jews within Israel itself). However even if that did happen I think it would just postpone the inevitable.
Great comment that brings eschatology into perspective.
The world has to witness the transition from Pax Americana to Pax Judaica. Just like it witnessed the transition from Pax Britannica to Pax Americana. The first transition involved two major wars and a shift in the financial monetary system. This coming transition should involve something similar and should only see rising power in Israel. Regrettably, the worse is yet to come.
What remains a mystery is what will be the relationship between Orthodox Russia (having survived the war) and the coming State of Israel (Pax Judaica).
Great comment about an eschatological perspective!
Also, in reading Saker’s article and the great comment section is there are multiple ways this could play out!
By the Grace of God let’s all hope to avoid World War 3 and nuclear weapons!! The moment that event occurs the entire world loses. Let us put our hope in God!
Iraq, Afghanistan etc. I would not think about them as invasions with the goal of conquering the country.
They stole the oil and threw the countries into chaos for profit reasons (MIC) and geopolitical reasons. These were the goals and they were achieved.
As the US is dying out I’m sure Israel is looking at China to be its next host. And I’m sure China will be more than happy to become the next major supporter of the Zionist regime in exchange for American military and civilian technology.
My thinking as well. The Zionists are far too smart to have let all this happen purely by chance or poor planning, even allowing for the fact that wealth extraction from host governments has always been the primary goal. Most people assume that exalting the US as the one truly exceptional host government was the long term goal, but current events strongly suggest otherwise. The US appears to have been played as a useful patsy in the wake of WWII, with the long term intent having always been to drain and kill the host and move on. I’d say that job’s just about complete now.
Even if true, China will not provide a neverending list of officials to be blackmailed Epstein style. Nor will holocaust guilt work on the Chinese. If they help it will only be as long as they are getting something of serious value in return. The sort of control Israel has over the US/EU is not something they can easily duplicate with China or Russia.
Correct.
The US is indeed “exceptional” to the extent that the present and past administrations is and were prepared to accomodate Israel even at considerable expense to America itself in blood and treasure
Essentially, Israel gets $billions from US taxpayers with no conditions attached or questions asked.
The US has to also endorse all of Israel’s crimes and use its UN veto to block objective and legitimate criticism directed at Israel.
China will never ever stoop this low and its officials will never allow Israel to dictate to them.
Selah
you are right – only anglosheeple of the modern day MORDOR would ever be so slavish, cheap and easy to bribe to do all these things for the apartheid state
@The sort of control Israel has over the US/EU is not something they can easily duplicate with China or Russia.
Indeed, Jews could get some temporary control in long established states where they did not belong organically and have been eventually ejected or put in their place. Things are different in America. There they easily got control over an already thoroughly judaized populace and they became part and parcel of the very fabric of America.
I think Asians generally have a much stronger BS detectors and are far more honorable than westerners when it comes to selling out cheaply to Kosher Nostra
It might be interesting to see how they manage to pull this off with a culture that doesn’t automatically hold the Old Testament with respect because some Pope put it into the Bible. As well as dealing with a culture that feels zero guilt about Fascism 1.0. Not saying its impossible, but its a different dynamic dealing with the Chinese instead of a bunch of illiterate American christian fundamentalists all praying for the destruction of the world.
What? Why would China want “American military and civilian technology” when its own is already either equal or superior in most areas, and catching up fast in the rest? It’s almost as though you hadn’t read the article.
As Mark twain said, the rumors of his demise were greatly exaggerated. USA’s military is still a powerful force that can cause a lot of serious problems around the world when it wants to. It saws chaos, not to win wars.
we shall see very soon if The Saker is correct. Pompeo JUST visited Israel on Tuesday and stayed over to Wednesday. I bet it wasn’t a social visit and what to do with Syria and Iran were on the agenda.
And today, USA’s envoy to Syria openly admitted USA is in Syria to create as much chaos for Russia as possible. No, the war in Syria hasnt been won yet, not by long shot. USA controls all of eastern Syria and can do whatever it wants.
My prediction: we will see some type of serious escalation in Syria very soon, something that is designed for either Russians or iran to retaliate or swallow another hit once again.
Let’s see who is correct.
Not so fast, all the running have only one purpose in focus the 2020 presidential election. This has most nearly ruin the economy for team Trump therefore Trump incorp are focusing on the only other means they know to distract the public from its problem foreign policy and likely war of aggression in other countries.
And who better to team up with to achieve such nefarious end, yeah the blood sucking zionist forever war state of Israel. This would rally the usual suspects the fascist, evangelical zionist racist and above all the zionist lobby.
Will they succeed? Time will tell.
If Russian troops are hit by US or Israeli munitions, the entire air space of Syria will be locked by another S-400 and Pantsir-2 air defenses. In other words, NO FLY ZONE for US and IDF, set on automatic.
That will mean all US troops will have no air support and will have to leave Syria with their tails between their legs.
Then the Russian air force will wipe out the US proxies and Syria will take back its entire East and the oil fields.
So, let’s see what happens.
Interesting situation in the ME. Not confronting the occupier but containing and aggressively reacting to any attempt to break from containment.
well on ABC radio this morning i heard that Pompeo went to Israel to discuss three issues
1. annexation
2. iran
3 and this is relevant, Israel’s links to china and the potential spread of US technology (read that US may more obviously lose status as technology leader).
So yes Israel is already in the process of switching allegiance. However as noted by many it will not be as easy because China has no guilt complex over the holocaust and earlier pograms. Moreover China and Chinese people are good at exactly the SAME things as Jewish people have always been noted for, ie strong emphasis on education, excellence in and faith in the hard sciences and also a strongly mercantile trading outlook. One fundamental difference is i think that while Jewish culture is strongly individualistic Chinese culture is more collectivist, which again might make it harder for Israel to gain the sort of traction it has in the west.
At the risk of attempting to teach my teacher to suck eggs, I think The Saker is looking in the wrong places for the reasons for Israel’s loss of American protection. No disrespect intended, I simply disagree.
The USA could have competent weapons systems and an effective military corps, Israel would still be facing the loss of support.
By far the more likely reason will be the disintegration of the USA as a political entity capable of wielding it’s military might in any coherent form. That process is already under way, as demonstrated by the on again/off again withdrawl of troops from Syria, and the farcically incompetent attempt at a coup in Venezuela. It is quite literally operating against itself on multiple fronts at home and abroad.
The fault lines generated by the false dichotomy of left/right politics, the real dichotomy of neocon /protectionist politics and a culture of unending entitlement are opening, and the reaction to being locked down to prevent a rampaging virus looks like the mud one sees erupting from the faults during an earthquake, at once very thick yet capable of penetrating the smallest of cavities. In my very humble opinion, having watched this issue for 3 decades, we are rapidly nearing the ignition point of a very nasty civil war in the USA, and once it starts the US military will be entirely incapable of finding it’s arse with both hands and a flashlight because it’s attention will turn to events at home, never mind responding to events precipitated by a bunch of narcissistic rascist pigs being unable to act like decent human beings towards their neighbours and victims.
The USA has a multi-trillion dollar public debt problem, and the taxpayers can avoid being on the hook for it simply by making sure the USA govt that accrued the debt ceases to exist. Let the owners of the Federal Reserve try and collect from the Republic of Cascadia, the West Coast Coalition or any other seccesionist entity. Once that happens. the Fed’s owners would get a very short answer, second word “off”.
Sayer has a point, Israel is no doubt well aware of it’s predicament, and looking for the next host to infect. One can only hope the Russians have vaccinated the Chinese against the Zionist virus.
I can’t help thinking that regional entities may well start coalescing soon to govern the mess.
Perhaps that is happening already in backroom of state houses and city halls.
Our pols may be stupid but they are also canny. they must see opportunities developing.
Taxes that can’t be paid won’t be paid.
If the USA can blow off China and its debt to China, then why not blow off debts to the fed?
As for anyone trying to impose vaccination by force, I can see citizens with fire arms entering that kind of equation. Very specific situations, not a general “uprising.” But attempts to force citizens to do specific things that large groups do not want to do might bring out citizens with fire arms.

For once I think this article is too optimistic.
There are 3 points I don t understand.
1. Yes the us uses modernised 4th generation fighters (F-15/F-16/F-18). But that is also the case for russia with her MIG-29/SU-27-30-35 and MIG-31. The core of the air force of both russia and the us are form the same period of time.
2. I don t see how iran would reteliate after a nuclear first strike from israel. The amount of damage iranian society would suffer would be immense. Imagine a nuke striking tenhran for instance.
3. I don t understand how russia is becoming the main power in the middle east with only 2 bases in western syria and to quote the saker with no real boots on the ground.
All true. You cannot ‘fight’ against nuclear weapons. You can only deter an enemy with your own. People talk about ‘thousand-pound’ bombs. A small nuclear warhead might be 150 kT, which is a 300 million pound bomb.
I’ve wondered why Israel’s enemies don’t arm the Palestinians (or arm them more), with small arms, IED’s, etc.
How many people brought arms and ied’s into Alcatraz? Every government around the world has a Zionist faction or is being Epstiened by a Zionist faction. No international governmental help (except the Axis of Resistance)coming to help the Palestinians with the Illegal Occupation of their lands. Are you aware of the draconian sanctions/murders being applied by the USA against any and every (see: Axis of Resistance) country that even offers Lip Service to Palestine.
The only way to end the Illegal Occupation of Palestine is an international concentrated mom and pop opperation to successfully Boycott the Apartheid Regime out of Existance.
Sometimes I let my fantasies take me to a time and place when some country faces down the Zionist entity in the Middle East. At the least, I fantasize that Israel would be eliminated as a military threat to the peoples and nations around them.
Sometimes I fantasize about a coordinated military action against the Zionist power -composed of Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria, Iraq, and Iran- which would force the Zionists to accept the return of Palestinians and to remunerate to them the hundreds of billions of dollars that the Zionists have extorted from the United States and Germany since the end of the Second World War. This fantasy almost always depends upon the Russian military to provide the qualitative and destructive advantage that would be required to destroy the IAF plus however many Dolphin submarines that may be in service.
But this fantasy evaporates almost as quickly as it occurs.
The Russian presence in the Mediterranean exists only because it is tolerated. It is tolerated because the military action required to eliminate it could possibly lead to a European war, and because there is a remote possibility that it could ultimately trigger a nuclear war.
If pressed to make a choice between NATO/USA and the Russian Federation, the odds favor that Turkey will choose the former. A mutton head Pasha like Erdogan, might be enticed to support Russia in a confrontation with Israel/USA if he was promised overlordship of the Arab States, which were once part of the Ottoman Empire, and especially if he was promised all those Ionian islands just off Turkey’s western shores. But even Erdogan would soon shake loose his senses from such a fantasy.
Without free and unfettered use of Turkish airspace, without unfettered transit through the Bosphorus and the Dardenelles, and without the Turkish military actively defending its airspace from NATO/IAF actions against it, the Russians cannot match the force that the IAF is capable of using against the Russian forces in Syria and at sea nearby. Without Turkey’s active support of Russia, the IAF would not need the US Naval support from ships at sea nor US Air support from Incirlik in Turkey to destroy Russia’s forces within its vicinity.
Don’t misunderstand me. I consider Russia to be the good guys in the Middle East, and the Israelis to be the bad guys (and the Americans too, who embrace the ethno-supremicist ideology of Zionism). But Turkey will not help Russia in any action against the Israelis (which almost certainly will involve the Americans on Israel’s side).
I don’t begrudge the Saker his fantasies, since mine are somewhat like his. But fantasies they remain, mostly because Turkish interests preclude the possibility of their realization.
I have another fantasy, which I refuse to abandon, but which will probably remain just a fantasy: that America’s citizenry will come to its senses, that it will recognize that its ideals have been corrupted by the Zionists who confer extraordinary power and privilege upon a mere sliver of its citizens, and that it will expunge from its society all those who hold onto this sense of entitlement, this ethno-supremicism. Zionism should be rendered into the dustbin of history the same way that slavery, fascism, and communism have been.
That way, we won’t have to calculate how many Israeli F-35s will it take in order to offset the qualitative advantages of various Russian aircraft.
Only in America can Zionism be confronted and defeated. Only in America can the Palestinians find the means to restore their human rights, once considered to be “unalienable”. And -ironically- only in the English-speaking countries (among which America is prominent) can those conceited etho-supremicists find a refuge, once their “Jewish” state becomes a democracy.
Sorry my friend. That second fantasy in particular is the most outlandish of all. I too once harbored it, but no more. The American people are all fast asleep. If anything, the US grows more blatantly Zionist by the day.
Nonsense; my friend.
Cancel your subscription to the New York Times and Washington Post and go elsewhere for your reading of the popular mood in America.
It is trending away from what you incorrectly presume will always be some kind of fundy nutcase Zionism, fairly markedly, in actuality.
The more the ADL is unable to contain this process by their tried and true mind control methods of channeling anti-Zionist rage into Anti-semitic Hate Morons….the faster the process of mass education will become.
I hope you’re right, but I have yet to see any evidence of that, and I haven’t read the NYTs or the WaPo in years. US government activity of late seems to strongly indicate otherwise as well.
Me too – I also hope you are right – but in my 14 years in the US I have only ever seen one person complain about Jews. Also none of my friends on FB (around 500 of them) never ever comment on or ‘like’ my posts on Israel’s criminality
Americans (and Brits and Canadians) are not just very fearful and slavish, but also very easy and cheap to bribe – and that has always been the only jewish talent – enforcing fraud, bribing, corruption, fake charm, pretending to be victims etc – you know the usual diagnosis for psychopathy
From what I see the US/UK and especially Canadistan are all getting more slavish, fearful, turned against itself and confused by the day…it’s getting worse and even harder to meaningfully integrate
The economic collapse caused by the unprecedented response to the COVID virus will result in food shortages and starvation. Starvation leads to diseases. When the public is faced with these dire circumstances, they will wake up to the evil that is running their country. However, that is when the evil ones start wars to deflect any action that the public could take.
I have to agree that most of this talk is too optimistic, or perhaps premature, in thinking that the Empire is close to collapse. As much as one might wish, it is mostly wishful thinking, unfortunately.
Although one can indeed point to various fault lines, and vulnerabilities and weaknesses, the very powerful forces that rule the US are not about to allow their own destruction, and will do whatever it takes to prevent its collapse, anything and everything. They have no morals, no compunctions, no conscience, when it comes to protecting their power.
As far as military capabilities are concerned, it very well might be that the F-35 is not as capable as their peers, but the US will keep throwing money at it to improve it, and in any case can out produce most other countries in quantity to compensate for quality. In addition, one should not underestimate the undeniable superior logistics of the US, being able to project power to a degree unmatched by anyone else.
While one can say that the US Empire will eventually fall, I think one should look at the time frame in terms of many decades, not years. The world is in store of a very rough ride for some time to come, sad to say.
I applaud your implied optimism contained in your opinion regarding the time span of America’s demise.
One has to wonder how much more dysfunctional the Empire can actually get and continue to function?
It is already a struggle to tell whether headlines are spoofs from the onion or actual reporting. That is, when the US msm actually tell us the truth and not their brought and paid for version of it.
I give it months, and expect the fan blades to get a thorough work-out before the fat man gets stuck in the next chimney.
Military, schmilitary, fantasy indeed, sounds like you’d get alot more Palestinians killed than ever before. See: solution above, the non violent, everyone gets to go home alive plan.
And please………..’only in America’……….give us a break. There is only one democratic ‘jewish’ state, it’s called Palestine. Unfortunitly, some jews do not like to share…….go figure.
> It is tolerated because the military action required to eliminate it could possibly lead to a European war, and because there is a remote possibility that it could ultimately trigger a nuclear war.
A strange definition of “tolerated”…
Voltaire’s opinion of the Jews predated Zionism. He said of them,”I would not be surprised if one day these people became lethal to humanity”
In the discussion of the Turkish role in aiding Orthodox Russia please consider the following prophecy by prophet Mohamed (PBUH):
The Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said, ‘Verily you shall conquer Constantinople. What a wonderful leader will her leader be, and what a wonderful army will that army be!’ [Musnad Ahmad, Al Hakim, al Jami’ al Saghir]
This event is reported to occur in an end time setting and hence it did not yet happen. This assertion is further confirmed by the fact the during Ottoman conquest of Constantinople, Hagia Sofia, the greatest Orthodox Cathedral was shamefully and disgracefully converted into a Masjid.
Therefore, we expect that after the great war erupts, a Muslim army will liberate Constantinople from its current rule and swiftly return Hagia Sofia to Orthodox Christians accompanied with an apology. This action will facilitate Muslim Orthodox friendship and alliance specifically allowing Russian Naval ships to pass through the Bosphorus on their way to the Mediterranean.
For further discussion, one can read the below book called Constantinople in the Quraan.

USA still strengthening and consolidating in north east Syria…apparently …towards a Kurdistan still or to back up more withdrawal from Iraq ( or support their Iraq presence)to posture or more against Iran? Lebanon had said it would no longer put up with IDF sending off missiles into Syria over their land? Small factors in the big equations?
exactly….end of sentence….not viable….a return to mother russia is viable….an exodus to new york city and hollywood aint….escape from new jerusalem sounds like a great action thriller
Excellent article by the Saker.
I would add this.
As the balance of power shifts in the middle east, it has important ramifications for Europe.
Europe is energy poor. As the Empire loses sway in the Middle East, the Empire loses more of its influence with Europe.
There are two ways in which the Empire could fall quickly. One is loss of reserve currency status. The other is the collapse of the Atlantic Alliance. Control over the Middle East was always a keystone of the Atlantic Alliance. Once that is gone, European leaders have to wonder exactly what the Atlantic Alliance brings them anymore.
“Control over the Middle East was always a keystone of the Atlantic Alliance. Once that is gone, European leaders have to wonder exactly what the Atlantic Alliance brings them anymore.”
I think that correct. And consider: the Americans pushed hard against a Russian gas pipeline through Bulgaria to Greece. They offered Greece fracked American gas instead…well, how economic and sustainable was that?
Now the idea is “Israeli” gas to Europe, most of which is not, actually, Israeli. Follow that through, to keep Europe, Israel must control the greatest amount of middle east gas and oil possible.
Europe will be more coherent without the UK, but is still generations away from independence. But they are aware (finally) that further integration with the US is folly.
Meanwhile, the Port of Piraeus (Athens) has been operated by the Chinese since 2009, and owned by them since 2014. It is running very well. The Chinese make genuine investments and improvements. They pay the Greek labour appropriately. To the cultural shock of many, China makes a better ally in these times than the US.
China will never abandon its idea of BRI … a renewed Silk Road better to speak of a great infrastructure planning where all participating countries will winners and not losers (as it would be with some Western countries) and for the first time in our written history Africa is included in a positive way (what Western countries totally neglected, only thinking of their own profit game).
Both Russia and China are planning for a long time to come. Neither Russia nor China have a short way think tank.
If it cannot secured yet it will later on. But it will. The Yin and Yang principle plays a big role when regarding our history, written history of the West and partly (where available) from the Middle East and Asia.
USA and its allies are destroying usually the complete infrastructures of the countries they are bombing. Yet with China (and Russia) in the game things become a much different outlook. And not to forget: we can clearly see when China is planning something they do it. Point (and without much propaganda).
We shall see and time will tell.
china fell away into existential ignominy replete with fifth column and subervient elite who bent over and touched their toes for the west.
now the question is” whether there was a quid pro quo for the transfer of western manufacturing that underpinned china’s re-rise? and if there was/is..what on earth could it be?
the Zionist leave no stones unturned in securing their future..and no host is permanent. no doubt at all the zionists will turn to China as america withers away…if that turn is not already an accomplished fact.
I personally do not see that there is much difference between the old Chinese supremacist outlook and the current Jewish one. is the old China still there to emerge and make common cause with the Zionists against the peoples of the world?
all that that requires is a manipulated/orchestrated regime change in Beijing/Peking at some point, that brings the Chinese fifth to the fore…and its bend over and touch your toes time again
I like all the optimistic views and pints here but I will wait and see. I am never optimistic about humanity..seen too much, lived too long
an emerging question already?
interesting
I have heard Saker mention this many times: “In the case of the USA, while any first use of nukes will result in a political suicide for the Empire.” Though I am not questioning the analysis, I’d like to get clarification on what, precisely, political suicide for the Empire would look like. From the way it acts on the world stage, it does not seem to care a wit about any politics except its own internal ones. Like Israel, it’s pariah status is nearly solid. It doesn’t seem any amount of opprobrium is too much for it and its Western allies . . . ahem vassals apparently count for absolutely ZERO in its calculations. Nevermind the rest of the non-Western world. As long as the USD remains the reserve currency I do not believe any kind of political fallout or pressure, no matter how intense, will force the Empire to heel.
Nato ground-to-air weapons cannot defend against Nato-built aircraft. But S-400 Russian missiles can.’ There seems to be a slanted relationship between the Patriot Missile defense and the fighter jets involving the software and the IFF system controlled by the US.
Is Israel allowed to modify the planes’ software? And this is what Turkey wants.
Previous talks between Turkey and the United States on the purchase of the Patriots have collapsed over a host of issues, from the S-400s to Ankara’s dissatisfaction with Washington’s terms. Turkey has said it will only agree to an offer if it includes technology transfer and joint production terms.
“Ankara already thinks that even if F-35s are delivered, they will create serious security risks for Turkey as they are directly commanded by the United States. Therefore, nobody regrets ‘losing’ F-35s,” the daily said.
https://ahvalnews.com/us-turkey/turkey-considers-russian-su-57-chinese-j-31-jets-replace-f-35s-yeni-safak
An issue that affects all the international partners in the F-35 involves access to the computer software codes for the aircraft. The F-35 relies heavily on software for operation of radar, weapons, flight controls and also maintenance. The US military has stated that “no country involved in the development of the jets will have access to the software codes” and has indicated that all software upgrades will be done in the US.

What a setup for us. If they do this with NATO they can probably do it anywhere. This is why President Erdogan wants Moscow’s missiles. The coup which he believes we instigated against him used air force jets that bombed the capital and challenged his own civilian airliner during the attempted coup. Only the S-400 could have fired on those planes. imo
Very interesting….
Why Turkey’s President Erdogan Wants Those Russian Missiles
The US ultimatum gave Turkey very few days in which to choose between Nato and Russia. Either Ankara dropped the deal with the Ruskies to adopt their S-400 missile system or US punitive actions followed by the first week of June. The newly announced temporary band-aid of a joint US-Turkey study group will only postpone the reckoning. It will not resolve the fundamental issue of why Turkey’s President Erdogan wants Moscow’s missiles. He wants them badly. Considering what that means for Turkey’s economy and defense capability, President Erdogan’s obstinacy might seem baffling. The Turks would lose participation in the F-35 fighter jet program and ultimately all the privileges of integration with the Western alliance, infrastructure investments, bond underwriting, debt-service guarantees and much else. Turkish banks could ultimately face exclusion from the Swift system. Not the whole package at first but the very threat of increasing pressure would deflate the economy and devalue the currency sharply. The dark era of 1970s post-Cyprus-invasion misery could recur – blackouts, shortages, insurgency, bunker economics.
Why would Ankara flirt with such disasters? Why broach the missile deal in the first place? You’d have to be highly motivated to incur such risks for your country. What is motivating Erdogan? After all, he has systematically reduced all institutional checks to his rule. Including the ballot box: He’s in the process of neutralizing that too with a June 23 rerun of the recent municipal elections which his party lost. He has the country firmly in his grip. Why does he need Russian missiles? Answer: because his own military still worries him. Especially a military tied to Western weapons and training and indoctrination which makes it the last institution to be potentially independent-minded. He doesn’t forget the air force jets that bombed the capital and challenged his own civilian airliner during the attempted coup.
https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/your-military/2019/04/05/heres-how-f-35-technology-would-be-compromised-if-turkey-also-had-the-s-400-anti-aircraft-system/
The technical risks
If Turkey acquired the S-400 alongside the F-35, the technology that makes that aircraft lethal could potentially be compromised.
NATO states use a tactical data link that allows military aircraft and even ships and ground troops to share their tactical pictures in near-real time. This is called Link 16. NATO aircraft also use Identification Friend or Foe systems, known as IFF, to identify friendly aircraft in the sky.
An IFF and Link 16 interrogator would have to be integrated into the S-400 system to allow the Turkish F-35, with the transponder, to fly within lethal range of the S-400.
This opens up all Link 16 and IFF tactical data link equipment to be compromised, a former radar and weapons expert said on background.
“With the F-35 flying in close proximity to the S-400 system, over time, you could collect sensitive stealth characteristics of this F-35 and learn its detailed stealth capabilities,” the expert said.
The waveform off the Lightning II’s stealthy surfaces and its transmissions are highly classified in order to protect radar operating parameters, stealth technology and encrypted Link 16 codes.
For instance, “when you know the waveform, you can spoof them,” sending a fake signal to a receiver in order to trick an operator.
Syria has S-400 and S-300 systems. Israel has been flying F-35 aircraft for some time now. I would expect Russia to have been collecting data on them for at least the last four years.
Russia is not going to advertise what they have accomplished to date.
Well, agree that Israel will always get some degree of help from the exceptionalistan. However it is quite different to receive support from the economic and military hegemon and get support from a second rate, forced t compromise power.
Even more so, when a wrong international step by the execeptionals can cost a) elections, b) a narrative c) a zillion dollars
So what? the jerusalemlistan will try hard to subjugate Beijing and CPC.
Bowing to an American and Israeli pressure campaign, the German regime has just banned all activities involving Hezbollah by smearing it as as a “terrorist organization” and raiding Shia mosques and institutions in Germany.
Germany has now sunk to the depraved depth of America and Israel.
Sad.
In banning Hezbollah, Germany responds to far-right, U.S. and Israeli pressure – not any security threat
https://thegrayzone.com/2020/05/13/banning-hezbollah-germany-israeli-pressure/
I agree that the Israelis have always relied on the following combination of factors to prevail:
A surprise attack (more or less justified by a false flag or by preemption)
The destruction of enemy aircraft when they are still on the ground
Air superiority to protect for rotary-wing aircraft and advancing armor
In a knock down drag out war Israel’s reliance belongs to yesterday. The Russians are capable of original thought and have come up with non legacy weapons. In a scrimmage aerial warfare would be the battle de jour. If things get out of hand Russia has only to deploy the status-6, my favorite non legacy. The US has already admitted they have never seen anything like it and don’t think they can stop it. That is the nature of original weapons no one knows what to do to counter them. In the worst case scenario Putin will go underwater and won’t lose. I say worst case because status-6 is not first strike. Note…status-6, Kanyon and Poseidon are the same.

Video Suggests Russia’s Poseidon Nuclear-Powered Drone Has A Seabed-Launched Version

Sometimes valuable military intelligence is hiding in plain sight. An innocuous Russian media report shared to YouTube in June had just 380 views a few days ago. It reports that Russia’s latest “oceanographic research vessel,” Akademic Aleksandrov, was completing sea trials. The video was taken in Severodvinsk near the Arctic where many of Russia’s most advanced submarine programs are based. What very few of the viewers may have realized is that the object on the deck appears to be one of Russia’s latest strategic weapons: the Poseidon mega-torpedo.
That’s valuable intelligence in itself – the ship has not been formally associated with the project before. But does it hint at something more – a seabed-launched version of the weapon that would be harder to counter?
Until now most of the information available has referenced a submarine-launched version. That will be carried by the Belgorod, a massive special mission submarine launched in the same port in April. But a seabed version, possibly called ‘Skif,’ was also rumored in 2013. That rumor went quiet but it hasn’t been forgotten. One eagle-eyed watcher noticed the object in the video and started the Twitter ball rolling:
Poseidon is one of the most disruptive weapons currently being developed. It is also one of the least well understood. Each new report and image provides intelligence that improves our understanding. It is designed to hit coastal cities with a 2 megaton warhead, around 133 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
It is often described as a drone or autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), and as an Intercontinental Nuclear-Powered Nuclear-Armed Autonomous Torpedo in some U.S. government documents. I prefer the torpedo likeness since it is a weapon, intended for a one-way journey. It is massive though, around 20-30 times the size of regular torpedoes. We know that with a nuclear power plant it will presumably have virtually unlimited range, be able to dive deeper than most current weapons and run so fast that current torpedoes wouldn’t catch it. So it would be very hard to counter. But the launch submarines are possible weakness because they might be trailed and neutralized before the torpedo can be fired. This raises the question of a seabed-launched version.
Akademic Aleksandrov was launched in 2017. It is described as a multi-purpose vessel with a reinforced ice-breaking bow. Apparently it is designed for research and scientific work on the Arctic shelf and for rescue operations. A closer look at the video however suggests that it’s actually part of a wider program to field the Poseidon weapon.
The back, called the transom, has a cut-out for a cradle which neatly fits the Poseidon launch tube. This cradle can be extended over the back to pick up the weapon, something which is confirmed in commercial satellite imagery. And the large yellow crane seen in the video is reportedly able to carry 100 tons, which just happens to be my estimate of Poseidon’s weight.
Russia already has the ice-capable ship Asterisk for recovering Poseidon test rounds. And a purpose-built test submarine to launch it called the Sarov. So a natural question is why would Russia build yet another ship with special accommodations for this unique weapon? One possibility may be that the weapon has grown during development and Asterisk can no longer support the full range of tests. But there appears to be more to it.
One indication is that in front of the lifting gear on the aft deck of Akademic Aleksandrov there appears to be a covered hangar. This is large enough for Poseidon. Possibly several. This appears unnecessary if the ship is only intended to recover test rounds. It implies maintenance and longer term carriage. Thus it rekindles suspicions of a seabed-launched system which would require specialist ships to deploy and maintain.
Future evidence may confirm or disprove this theory. But there appears to be much more to this ship than at first meets the eye.

The Atlantic and Pacific oceans once acted as protective moats for the defense of the United States, but now they may be its Achilles heel. Nuclear warheads exploded underwater just offshore could create tsunami waves to inundate all US coastal cities.
Quando os EUA abandonarem Israel (se é que um dia vão abandonar),a Russia estará pronta para abraçar a causa sionista e defender Israel com “unhas e dentes” !!! É bom lembrar que para o presidente Putin, Israel também faz parte da Russia.

When the US leaves Israel (if it ever will), Russia will be ready to embrace the Zionist cause and defend Israel with “teeth and nails” !!! It is good to remember that for President Putin, Israel is also part of Russia.
China has invested a lot in Israel in the past years, Haifa has become almost a Chinese seaport. US has shown recently its disappointment, it would be the first blow in their relation with Israel in decades, the previous one was during the Suez crisis in 1956! I don’t know how the situation will evolve but this is sure a sign of a major shift of power from west to east.
International Ports of Entry are owned and leased by the Crown
I am incapable of restraining my joy after reading a logically derived consideration that the submissive host of the worlds human parasite is inevitably to become consequentially inhospitable
In other words, sooner rather than later, the “Jewish state of Israel” will have no better chances of survival than, say, the “Independent State of Kosovo” or, for that matter, the “Independent Ukraine”: they are all the ugly metastases of the Empire which by themselves are simply not viable.
Ah Saker you have unfortunately forgotten or don’t know something very important. A league of Russia and Germany are supposed to be annihilated on the mountains of Israel in the great Gog and Magog battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39. As far as the US and Israel is concerned they look at Russia and Germany as the axis of evil and have been demonized as such ever since WW2 and are of the opinion that you all are going to be destroyed by the God of Heaven. Yeah, utterly bizarre I know and I completely agree but unfortunately this is what is being preached and pushed and believed by far too many in the so-called Christian West. Don’t believe I give you George Bush lol:
Chirac recounts that the American leader appealed to their “common faith” (Christianity) and told him: “Gog and Magog are at work in the Middle East…. The biblical prophecies are being fulfilled…. This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people’s enemies before a New Age begins.”
This bizarre episode occurred while the White House was assembling its “coalition of the willing” to unleash the Iraq invasion. Chirac says he was boggled by Bush’s call and “wondered how someone could be so superficial and fanatical in their beliefs.”
After the 2003 call, the puzzled French leader didn’t comply with Bush’s request. Instead, his staff asked Thomas Romer, a theologian at the University of Lausanne, to analyze the weird appeal.
….In 2007, Dr. Romer recounted Bush’s strange behavior in Lausanne University’s review, Allez Savoir….Subsequently, ex-President Chirac confirmed the nutty event in a long interview with French journalist Jean-Claude Maurice, who tells the tale in his new book, Si Vous le Répétez, Je Démentirai (If You Repeat it, I Will Deny), released in March by the publisher Plon.

In case you haven’t noticed, its not planes, boats, subs, armies that matter, it is now the Global plague war
and
The observable results are that we are going through a dilution of money (like 10 for 1 stock split)
meaning
those who are holding existing asset instruments are taking a bath.
However, those having access to new money will pay-down debt at a discount.
So the war is a financial war triggered by a plague, and that is the essence of future wars.
In all these articles and discussions on Zionism, I have yet to see one mention of “apartheid” Israel and the illegal colonization of the Palestinians. All this criticism and analysis on Israel is definitely comming from a rightwing perspective. That said, I do respect reading different honest opinions other than my own.
99% of all these all sites fed by zerohedge, are owned by Serco-UK, aka ABC-Media-Ltd, aka Zionism city of london.
The theme of the narrative is talk of zionism from the point of view of a right wing warrior. I don’t think it pays anybody to mention Palestine, certainly that is not where the money is at.
Just like the Boycott of Israel, even mentioning it makes you persona non grata.
Well the first place to start is at home, so when you bang on your keyborad, the proper term is The Apartheid Regime Occupying Palestine, and refer to the country as Occupied Palestine. Why pay lip service to a bunch of child molesting murdering bastards laughing every time one condones the name.
I think it is also crazy how little criticism the US recognition of Golan heights being a “part” of “Israel” has received. It is the classical case would not should be done according to international law. a) Captured by war of agression b) Population replacement tried as far as possible since settlers are scared. c) No doubt over actually being part of Syria. d) Combined with weekly agression of Israel against Syria which contradicts their truce. e) These agressions are performed while Syria and it’s population are suffering from the biggest war of agression of the 21st century.
Just wow. Every other country (or pair of countries instead of US-Israel) would get torn to pieces medially for something like this.
It is so far from the cases like Crimea where maybe the commando action was dubious according to intl law (in my view, dubious but legal), or Kosovo where you at least can say there was some sort of local insurrection and local poulation (so slightly dubious, i.e. without foreign intervention it could theoretically have been legal, but like it happened of course illegal). Even the iraq invasion is to me not as illegal since at least no territory changed.
This 2019 recognition marks the clearest departure from post WWII consensus by US and Israel yet.
And now they seem to be trying to push through Trump’s Crime of the Century before he’s run out of town. After meeting a little noise as opposition for taking Jerusalem and the Golan, now they are going for the whole thing.
“there is a very real possibility that, with US sanctions and threats, the Turks might decide to give up on the F-35 and turn to a Russian aircraft”
I think the Turks have already given up on the F-35. If “greater” israel needs a balkanized Turkey, they will hardly allow their pindo colonials to arm them with the latest amero-rubbish that israel also uses. As usual, this policy choice hurts the american colony, but not the israeli master.
Meanwhile, it’s not just parts that Turkey made that is causing shortages in the F-35 production, but poor quality throughout the production process.
Russia’s S-400 Causes First Casualties for F-35 as Lockheed Runs Out of Parts Once Made in Turkey

“The timely production of key components for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fifth-generation multirole combat aircraft has been put out of whack thanks to US lawmakers’ decision to kick senior development partner Turkey out of the programme, Breaking Defense has reported, citing a fresh report by the Government Accountability Office.
According to the spending watchdog, as many as 15 key components for the F-35 once produced in Turkey are currently not “being produced at the needed production rate.” At the same time, the GAO reported that Lockheed has had to scramble to find new suppliers for a whopping 1,005 different components previously made by Turkish defence contractors.
The production bottleneck caused by the halt in Turkish parts deliveries has been further aggravated by the fact that contractors have developed a habit of being late with parts deliveries, the GAO says. According to the Defence Contract Management Agency, a Pentagon agency responsible for administering DoD contracts, “between August 2017 and July 2019, the number of parts delivered late increased from under 2,000 to more than 10,000,” with “roughly 60 percent of parts shortages…attributable to 20 suppliers.”
Another problem, the GAO notes, is that only about 30 percent of the “manufacturing leading practices” outlined by the watchdog are meeting predefined quality standards, with the 500+ aircraft already delivered to the armed forces failing to meet both reliability and maintainability standards.”

In other words, production of the F-35 is down to the usual made/designed in the usa poor quality standards…
The only problem with this analysis is that — with the exception of Iran, Syria, and various non-state actors like Hizbullah — Israel has ***no real enemies*** in its part of the world. Of course I’m not referring to the peoples of those countries, but rather their leaderships, which are either bought and paid for by the USA (e.g., Egypt, Jordan) or else opportunistic and unreliable (e.g., Turkey, KSA). Case in point: Not even a thousand Mavi Marmaras will move the current Turkish leadership to a point where it doesn’t cut deals with Israel whenever mutually advantageous.
Of course, all bets are off if any of these regimes should be overthrown and replaced by one(s) representing the popular will — but right now there’s no sign of any of that.
“In fact, the absolute disaster of the F-35 program means that for the first time in its history the US aircraft will be qualitatively outgunned by its likely adversaries.”
OK, I know I’m the person who reads way too much history, but this statement is not correct. Check some of the history of the early part of WW2 in the Pacific where the US was immediately engaged trying to fly Buffaloes (yes, they really called them that) against Zeros. The old Charlton Heston movie about Midway has people listening to the radio traffic as the squadron based at Midway died trying to engage Zeros.
The advantage the US had in WW2 was not in the quality of the planes, but the fact that Detroit was turning them out by the tens of thousands. During WW2, the USA and the Soviet Union had similar approaches to dealing with German high technology …. pick workable, basic designs and build lots and lots of them. For the Americans, it took until ’43 before they got rid of their pre-war, peacetime junk and at least had the workable, basic planes.
The modern US is rather unique, in that despite an economy and culture of permanent warfare, they are still stuck with the sort of comparatively junk equipment that they began WW2 using. And they still have the peacetime, political sort of generals in power, not the fighting leaders that emerge during wartime.
When various crisis’ are provoked by the USA in different parts of the world, I begin to wonder what happens if their enemies don’t play the the USA’s script?
For instance, in the USA script, they can go and threaten North Korea. North Korea of course reacts. In the US script, Russia and China only conceive of reacting in North Korea. The whole rest of the world stays quiet and peaceful while the North Korea crisis unfolds. That’s the USA script.
For awhile, the USA generals were justifying massive military overspending by saying they needed the capabilities to fight two regional wars at the same time. A second Iraq War going on at the same time as yet another American war of a similar size. Does anyone really believe that American can do that now?
But, what if everyone else doesn’t follow the script?
Lets just imagine for a moment that Trump sends his army (instead of his personal security) into Venezuela. I’d imagine that they can push the Bolivarian military aside, but then perhaps they discover that Russia has been shipping in AK-47’s for a year and now every peasant has three, with lots of ammunition, plus lots of RPGs. Now American is involved in another insurgency war, this time not against Saddam’s remnants but against a revolutionary society that has no intention of going back to the near slavery the US demands.
Does the rest of the world follow the script, and sit quietly while this unfolds?
Or do other hotspots start to erupt? Does China decide that maybe with the USA so busy in South America that now might be a good time to give one of those Navy showboats a bloody nose for sailing in Chinese waters? Maybe Iran decides that now might be a good time to hit Saudi oil production again? Maybe Donetsk decides that an attack can improve their security situation and liberate some neighbors from fascism, helped by some Russian mercenaries?
And then there’s Israel, with Uncle Sam looking awfully busy in places spread all around the world …..
I wonder if Russian navy has the acoustic signatures of Israel’s nuclear weapons-armed submarines? (Dolphin-class, I believe?) If so, it would be in the civilised world’s best interest for either Russia, or Iran to sink those submarines when the time comes, lest we become victims of Israel’s “Sampson option.”
What if othere nations do not play by the Script….a very good question indeed.
While the USA does have a great deal of hardware in the MENA area most of it has been slowly transformed into an occupation force. I doubt anyone seriously believes they can combat assault and hold territory. Their purpose was to wreck a nation or two and stick around so that it stays that way. As demonstrated by Iran, all those bases and personell are targets that can be hit with alarming accuracy. So yes, while the ‘bomb to the stone age’ option has a nice ring to it, gone are the days when this kinda of tactic will go unanswered.
In regard to Russia’s presense in Syria being “tolerated”: the notion that their footprint could be easilly eliminated without consequenses does not make much sense. In most situations like this throughout recent history it is a game of brinksmanship and playing with countermeasures. The USA and Friends ™ have been hurling UAVS at Russia’s airbase repeatedly for years, only to be countered. Every time there is an incident, like the IL-20 shootdown, there is a response that is measured and effecively changes the rules a bit. This can be seen across the board. When the IDF hit targets in Lebanon, they had their military vehicles targetted with ATGMs and promtly ran away. Although to their credit they did install mannequins…..
The aparthied walfare state has access to the remaining wealth the USA funnels them to the tune of 10 million a day plus all the weapons they care to shoot. As mentioned above, most of the USA media and congress are payed for and will not deviate from the narrative. Front door espionage, bribery and extortion are the norm. It s also worth noting that there is a “tripwire force” installed by the USA there in case things get serious.
Several posters have cautioned that the “empire” will take decades to transform and that nobody should be holding their breath. While this may be possible, it is important to remember that when things begin to slide they often do so very quickly. The exceptional nation has a tendency to think of the the rest of the world as a gaggle of ignorant savages who will do anything for a bit of wampum. What seems more likely is that the rest of the world is in dialogue and have clear ideas about who is there to help and to harm them. Nobody outside of a few corrupt leaders would dream of making a deal with the devil at this point. As the virus catalyst masks and enhances the global economic reset, things could get very chaotic simultaneously in a number of settings. I can ussure you that things in the USA are pretty close to hittin the fan, and when they do it wont be a sea of yellow vest. More likely a forest of camoflage and muzzle flashes….
If I were the betting type, I would put money on things erupting in mutiple theaters simultaneously. USA strikes Iran, Hezzbollah hits isreal followed by Syria targetting the Golan. Then the Huthis blast another KSA refinery. Turkish armor attacks Tiger Force, SAA responds with air-strikes. Sappers attack Al-tanf and USA begins destroying Syrian oil assets. Meanwhile skirmishes erupt in Donbass…..you get the picture.
WATCH F-22 Raptor CRASH & pilot eject near busy Florida highway
https://www.rt.com/usa/488824-f22-florida-crash-highway/
“The crash took place Friday morning local time near the Eglin Air Force Base, east of Pensacola. The video that appeared later in the day shows the moment the yet-unnamed pilot decided to ditch the $143 million jet and parachute to safety.
The unlucky Raptor was with the 43rd Fighter Squadron, originally based out of the nearby Tyndall AFB. The flyover group had also been based at Tyndall, but was moved to Eglin after the 2018 Hurricane Michael heavily damaged the old base.
Whatever the cause of Friday’s crash, it will cost the USAF dearly. Only 187 operational Raptors were ever built by Lockheed Martin before the stealth air superiority fighter was canceled in favor of another Lockheed product, the multipurpose F-35. Before the crash, the Air Force listed only 183 F-22s in its inventory.”
And now there are 182.
Stealth is relative, to the wavelength of the RADAR. And shut your own RADAR off, because the enemy uses it to home in on you. Infrared, the engine(s) produce a lot of it is another giveaway, albeit at a much shorter distance. Impressive, but how often is it really needed. An AWACS is in itself a huge give away because it emits kilowatts of electromagnetic waves on various frequencies. Specialized rockets with dedicated seeker heads pose an increasing danger to the big and lumbering aircraft used as AWACS. Even transonic speeds are not very helpful in aerial combat. End of WW II and Korea are proof of that.
MiG 31. There will be no export version. The aircraft is out of production since 1994! Given the robustness of Russian airframes they last for decades and can undergo numerous updates. Nobody knows anything detailed about the successor the MiG 41.
The West has had crusader kingdoms in the Middle East, and each time it’s the same story: these crusader kingdoms are militarily superior, but after some time the cost of maintaining these fiefdoms is higher than the king’s coffers can bear.
The Israelis can see what we can see: the US is a sinking ship. They have warm, working ties to Russia and China. When the time comes they will cut deals and cut ties when it suits their purposes… they are in the midst of Phase I.
