I ordered the book through Nimble, and if my memory serves, it took about ten days to get it. Others may have had a more nimble and quick delivery. I don’t remember if delivery was by public post office or private company.
re: Nimble …talked to him around Christmas and he is a one man show, really dedicated to helping Saker and was very helpful to me. Yes, the book came by regular USPS but within a reasonable time considering the season and the cheap-o mailing that I chose.
Totally off topic: Morality and the culpability of the bystander. When a woman is gang raped by many men in a family or a gang, everybody in that family, neighborhood or community knows. There are very few secrets in a small town. ( on going incest or low level abuse, however, is carefully hidden because the perpetrators usually family members or neighbors or trusted persons in authority want to continue this plus it is considered shameful so the victim is “done” silently and seduced or threatened into silence). OK in the case of open rape everyone knows and in fact there is probably a lot of boasting going on. That makes everyone who does not protest ( yeah, it takes courage to stand up to the crimes of your tribe) is guilty. It is the way it works.
I have a friend who served time in prison where snitching is a capital crime among the the tribes . Now he serves in a community charity where fellow staff members are stealing food from the charity and he as an assistant manager knows this yet does nothing. I try to tell him that he will be held just as guilty because he stood by and did nothing—either “aiding and abetting” or “accessory after the fact “. Still, he stands paralyzed. We his friends without saying why are trying to get the funders of the organization to do a routine accounting review where we hope the discrepancies will come to light, and procedures changed quietly with no one having to be “snitched out:”
And this is just a property crime not a violation of innocence/person.

Speaking of dirty games, a bit OT but the Brit theatrical judicial farce “Litvinenko, Putin Done It All” is now playing and starring the duplicitous Sir Richard Owen -with a cameo appearance by the celebrated harridan Masha Gessen.
Sadly, MH17 lead investigator Eliot Higgins was unavailable -he could not be seperated from his couch.
Mulga might appreciate the Masha Gessen trashing (Warning! Keep bucket at hand).

I was taken by this line:

If true this has potential ‘stroke-of-a-pen’ implications for other courts. If a plaintiff’s case can be ruled confidential then logically so too can a defendant’s. In other words, no public charge is necessary and a defendant can be found guilty and sentenced by a secret court without ever knowing even the charge. It’s an authoritarian patriarchal government’s dream for controlling dissension and if they bother with a (secret) jury then threats of ‘Star Chamber’ procedures could apply:
“The Star Chamber finally summoned juries before it for verdicts disagreeable to the government, and fined and imprisoned them.”

I bought mine through Book Depository and it’s sitting on my bedside table now. Great, prompt service, and free postage. Living in Australia, I find the postage from Amazon exorbitant and rarely use this venue now.
There are case examples in the distant past of certain three-letter-acronym agencies buying up all stock of books they did not want on the street and then shredding/burning them. The case I wanted to quote escapes me at present — and it’s probably less effective in the electronic book age but nonetheless I’m sure it still a tempting strategy to slow things down and frustrate to effective and efficient dissemination of information.
Why not Apple iBooks store?
