It’s getting clearer and clearer what’t going to happen over the next years and decades in the world economy. It’s something I already had a feeling on before.
There’s going to be such an integration from Non-Western economies (including sanctioned countries like Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba), that the ones actually being isolated are the criminals who wanted to kill other countries by imposing starvation through sanctions.
As an anti-NATO European, I just hope common Europeans start to see what I have been seeing as soon as possible, or they will risk to be sentenced to be relegated to just a USA colony of USA cucks (like a big Porto Rico) obeying to the master, while the rest of the world develops finally without the restrains of the Colonialist West (the true name of the “collective” West.
Talking about this, what country did Cuba invade in order to justify the economic blockade?
And how many sanctions did Europe apply against USA in order to stop funding their war crimes machine?

Even yesterdau I was disgusted with the words of Portugal’s Prime Minister while visiting Ukronazistan. He said: “this isn’t a normal war”.
What? Do you know what he was implying? That a preemptive military operation to save Donbass people from NeoNazi pigs was a bad unaceptable thing because +3k civilians died, but the other “normal wars” where acceptable because NATO bombs are “pro-democracy”, NATO invaders are “pro-feminism/LGBT”, and +2 million dead people in Middle East is not so grave as a few white blue eyed blonde haired christian europeans dying.
He then promissed 250M€ (+0.100% of our GDP) for the Ukronazi regime… I remind you Portugal is a failed state with 4.3 (43%) poor people since it was colonized by the Frankfurt/Berlin currency (Euro), we still suffer austerity (although the “free press” now says otherwise) because we have 140%/GDP debt , and to comply with Euro dictatorship NeoLiberal rules we can only have a budget with 0.025% of GDP to help the poorest families going through theis high inflation period (and 0.9% wage increases VS 7% inflation…). That means that near 1 million of the poorest will get 60€ extra to manage until 2023, and 3.3 million poor get 0€.
And I can’t even imagine how the situation is in even poorer countries.
If I’m not mistaken, isn’t this the kind of stuff that forced the French people to use the fuillotine against the monarchic oligarchy?
Talking about this, good luck to the French people in the next elections. You either give a majority to Mélenchon that will then help the gillet jaunes (yellow vests), or you’re also f*cked.
But I’m afraid your non proportional system will again give +60% of the Parliament seats to a Rothschild bankster that only has 27% of support in the 1st round.
And then they call it “liberal democracy” and make coups in other countries to demand them to have the same system… The Western world really is rotten!
Selensky certainly will keep the show running as long as the western money will flow. Not sure, what the percentage is he and the others people in charge will take. But I am quite sure it will make him a billionaire until all this is over.

Personally, I don‘t see life as making money. Having become ill and sensitive to toxins due to the exposure of toxines (the 9/11 dust), I gained clarity on what really matters in life. So I actually appreciate a simple life in a healthy environment, growing my own food, etc.. Also, I certainly do not depend on the company mentioned in the video above ;) – the less chemicals on your body the better. It is the West’s turn to live without many things, as the leaders are sanctioning their own people from hell, showing off solidarity with the Ukraine and the carbon footprint all the same. Slogan: Save the Ukraine and the Earth, please commit economic suicide!
Thats the point she made in passing: this makes them stronger not weaker. They need something to struggle against, as frankly we all do. Now they have a struggle that requires them to move beyond self interest and to be their best – for each other. But the truth is that the sanctions were never designed to hurt Russia, they were designed to blow back on the west, and particularly the US – this is a feature, not a bug – its deliberate. From all the weirdness of the last decade, one can only observe that the regime is ending the US as the worlds dominant power. This mantle is being handed to China, and we now see: Russia. This ‘conflict’ has exposed that the Wests military is mostly hype and legend, and we have spent ourselves into collapse. Russia will now be the dominate military, and economic power in the world within 5 years. In that time, America will be feeling a lot like the people of tthe Donbass have been feeling – it will be hard to find hope.
I do not think the west believes that the sanctions will change the behaviour. Because it never works. IT is just the thing they do. Because western Europe has no military able to fight the war, but fighting they want never less. And winning, but that is not possible. So they count the number of sanctions as progress.
And politicians are like little automated children toys. Once started, they go one direction without further questions. And if they hit a wall, they still try to get forward. It is just what they do, once they have a designated goal, they go that direction even if it makes no sense. Because failing is bad, even failing the wrong goal.
I don’t think many Russians have a living memory of the battle for Stalingrad, but whatever hardship Russians may have to endure due to the sanctions, it won’t be half as bad as the economic decline when Yeltsin let the West rob Russia during the 1990s.
If people do not buy stuff from western companies — MacDonalds, Proctor & Gamble et cetera — but buy stuff from local companies instead, there will be a nominal drop in GDP, sure, but not any diminution in the quality of life. GDP only measures total money spent — but not how wisely it is spent.
Funny, how the opinion-makers demonize astrology… and atypically, on BOTH sides of the propaganda. Both liberals and conservatives are encouraged to be downright embarrassed by the very mention of it.
Few things to keep in mind. say a western brand is no longer available what is the response of the market
1) can a local brand take over seamlessly ? without making new investments in capacity?
2) what if its a store like say ikea ? all those jobs and taxes are gone some will shift to local brands but they may be cheaper thus give less tax revenue.
3) some of the spending might not be replaced in immediate business cycle for example it might have been an discretionary spending so it doesnt directly replace the other .
4) under external stress amd uncertainity people wil spend less and save more.
5) some of the lost import export business will be lost completely and have no substitute.
6) It takes a few years for local market and business to identity business opportunities then make a business plan and come up with s new factory and sell stuff so the lag is certainly there.
Not all of this is alarming. on the other hand there might be the positive effect of the big businessmen being unable to patk their money in europe investing there instead they will have bo option but to invest in the country which is s very big plus.
Some are already saying 5% or below, a French economist specialized on Russia doing all the econometrics calculations say +1%.
My forecast as a macroecomist is 3-4% loss of GDP.
At the end much will depend on government measures.
The Russian Central Bank’s portion of the Russian economy is shrinking dramaticaly. The State Bank’s portion of the Russian economy is growing dramatically. See how it works?
Any time an economy has to adjust by way of import substitution there will be a period of shrinking economy as the domestic suppliers ramp themselves up i.e. the imports disappear faster than the domestic equivalent comes to market.
But once the domestic suppliers comes to market then the economy more than offsets that one-off event, and grows more strongly than it would have without those sanctions.
That all implies that there *is* a domestic substitute for those now-sanctioned imports, obviously, which in the case of many of the targets of US sanctions is not the case. They suffer badly from sanctions.
But since Russia does a very good impersonation of an autarky then I don’t think that applies.
Maybe some tropical fruits become unavailable. Maybe. But not much else, I wouldn’t think.
Relatively everything it’s around 50/50 . If RF economy falls 10% I can’t see reason growing economy in Western countries which it’s worth nothing without minerals, petroleum, gas etc.etc. especially US. They moved all factories abroad and now they are living from stealing, robbing another countries, of course they have to be weaker and potentially vulnerable in global position – poor, corrupted ready to make theirs masters happy.
Best what US do it’s suck out *brains, doctors etc.etc *from another countries for silver coins * – currently papers from printing machines FED and after few years (maybe more or less) worthless green toilet paper.
Wy? – because general HUNGER * coming up
It depends on how the shrinkage is distributed. The ball park figure seems scary but operational level details of distibution of this figure is necessary to see the big picture.
Most likely it seems that oligarchy would bear most of the burnt-all the more reason to be happy. An unintentional pleasant consequence of the sanctions. Never liked the big yatchs and apartment complexes in London, Paris and New York, where all the criminal money is invested.
Russia has endless resources that the West wants and they would really like to steal it like they were doing during Yeltsin. Putin ended that. The Russians invested hundreds of billions in pipelines going everywhere to deliver gas and oil to Europe, Asia, EurAsia, pretty much everywhere. It was a very smart investment. Russia was providing energy to people aorund the world at a fair price.
The reality is the West and others would rather destabilize Russia and steal those resources. Fortunately, it is not going to happen. The EU and their WEF (World Economic Forum – Klaus Schwab) leaders who were illegally installed with rigged elections are taking Europeans to the bottom helped by Biden and the NeoCons. Two of the worst police states with WEF leaders are Australia and New Zealand. They have locked down their citizens like animals.
This is the same people behind mandatory jabs and lockdowns plus arming Azov nazis. Russia and Putin backed the ruble with oil, gas and gold plus making everyone pay in rubles was a game changer. The ruble has appreciated the most of all world currencies since Russia’s actions. Sanctions and all the other nonsense is hurting the West including the USA. Gas and diesel prices in America are skyrocketing. The UN and others are practically Russia for fertilizer. Russia should just sell their products to people and countries who are not trying to destroy Russia.
I live in New Zealand and I would beg to differ. We were treated shamefully by the govt during the pandemic. They lied to us continuosly, locked us up and caused many small businesses to close down. And stupid old horseface is sending aid to Ukraine. The same Ukraine the Christchurch shooter of 51 Muslims, had contact with. The same Azov battalion symbol he wore. The final straw for me was the way the govt and the cops treated the protestors during the anti-mandate protest. That was disgusting and symbolic of a propagandarised police state. Wake up.
Same something like.
White new Zealanders are unique and indigenous to new zealand and have the right to existence requires the end of foreign colonization aka immigration.
And you’ll get a policeman at your door.
Same goes if you watch the christchurch massacre which was a government flaggwd event.
Even though our bill if rights grants ys the right to express ourselves.
Finally protest our governments authoritarian actions. They will send in mobs of thugs in blue to drive you away as seen recently in wellington.

What i love on saker, not only high quality articles but the comments often add information/context and are same high quality!
Thanks this Tomo and all other commenters for this!
Watching this I have the news on one of American channels and I heard the oddest thing. The person being interviewed said “our high gas prices are Putin’s fault.” Sickening how much lying is going on.
And concerning sanctions it should be clear to all reasonable people the sanctions are not working as intended and are actually a blessing from God. What I mean by that is look at the many ways God is protecting Russia from the moral filth western corporations promote in their product advertisements. I was recently in hospital and watched some tv, the BBC channel, so on advertising an aid vaccine showed even two sodomites kissing in a perverse romantic setting. It makes the urge to puke. The west must be cursed. There’s no way these moral issues were sin for centuries and now are righteous. It’s one thing to struggle and commit sin but when it’s promoted by government and United orginizations its pure work of satan.
Keep praying for Russia and friends, President Putin and ‘ll God fearing people. God bless.
Russia is resisting not only ukronazis, NATO, and sanctions, but the moral and social degradation that the west is trying to foist upon it. Out of all these enemies, the last one is the most dangerous. You cannot subdue a country that thinks clearly.
Well you can double that outlook for the Euro-lemmings. Mind you in their fantasy world of kicking the can they will hold off until it all explodes. Stick that in your pipe, Mr Agent Provocateur and smoke it.
the saker smashes it again with ‘two for one’ – loads of information and a stroll in a beautiful park – this century will see russia evolve even more .
As the West’s favourite nanny Mary Poppins sang, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. Nope, even hooked up to the brown sugary cocktail drip of the best Columbian blow and Afghani opium they consume in their 5-a-day (make that all day ) opiates, it’s still a bitter-sweet Americano symphony. The band plays on but the soles of the shoes are wearing perilously thin.
As Jim Morrison sang (I dedicate it to petr above ) –
This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end , my only friend
The end of our elaborate plans
The end of everything that stands
Sanctions is a complex question. The real government in West and East and in the Middle is Money. Money is the organizing mechanism applied all the time … in Cuba too.
When money is scarse as in Cuba, people really don’t have much choice. It will be higher education bacause higher education is free. It will be a local clerk / factory / … job because that is the only safe occupations, and safety must be main concern
The State Department may have been “successful” in their attempt at regime change in 2018 (I still think that would have ended in a nuclear exchange), but with the additional 4 years given to prepare everything the US tries to do is backfiring and having extremely negative effects on US and Europe, soon the world. Nothing can save Kiev aside from a direct intervention by the US but I don’t even think that will work tbh. I am concerned that the monkeypox is a attempt to frame Russia leading to direct confrontation. A few weeks ago there was an explosion and chaos at a Russian biological laboratory now this happens.
Russia should have cut off the gas and oil to Europe as a precursor to the invasion. The diseased Eurotrash might have even been persuaded to take notice of the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Russian speakers in the Donbass and Odessa as well as Ukraine’s overt threat at the 2021 NATO conference to acquire nuclear weapons.
Go Putin!
Let’s Go Brandon!

Since 1986 haven’t wasted money reading tabloits. Since 2001 abandoned TV. Since 1991 haven’t eaten hamburgers. Since 2007 haven’t used Windows OS instead of free Linux. Etc…
These decisions based of inspiration to keep distance to bullshit. I have seen how stupid people become when building their worldview based on MSM TV and tabloits. This is no way any kind of rocket science. You just reason and make conclusions.
Pennsylvania Chuck, beautifully written Sir. Those commercials give me the same reaction 🤢. As for the rest, it’s totally FJB’s fault. You’re right about the lies too.

RosCosmose had 5 trillion $ in their account when the Poo-tin administration forced them to 4 of the 5 Trillion $ for Rooskie Rubbles at the exchange rate of 160/Rubbles for every one dollar in their 4 Trillion thingy
Now, the exchange rate has changed somewhat!!!
That Poo-tin feller has turned a 60% loss into a 200% gain for RosCosmose in 2 months like he was trolling for LOLs!
its been years since i purchased a carbonated drink, forget that except when travelling i havent purchased any kind of drink in a bottle or packaging except Milk.
None of this is necessary for living and eating well.
When that Euro was created, it was as a debt that needed to be repaid AND EVER COMPOUNDING INTEREST.
When the Rooskies exchange a PetroEuro into a Petro-rubble… THE PETRO-RUBBLE IS NOT ISSUED AS A DEBT THAT NEEDS TO BE REPAID, NEVER MIND EVER COMPOUNDING INTEREST.
Pay no attention to the fact the Euro will eventually be considered worthless. The main concern is the Rubble wan NOT printed as a debt but rather as a trade, the Rubble never needs to be paid back and more importantly owes no EVER COMPOUNDING INTEREST.
PS:
I live on a really nice sailboat that is capable of sailing around the world, visa’s sold separately.
If you actually read it, it is what West is doing with Ukraine right now. Imagine some NATO country being attacked (by someone other than Russia). Article 5 reactions is what we get right now. Ukraine is getting Art.-5
Let me explain it. Imagine Russia preemptively attacking the antimissile/tomahawk site in Romania out of the blue. Do you think that EU/NATO will mobilize troops to defend Romania, that US will go to nuclear war for Romania?
I don’t think so. They would probably do what they done for Ukraine. Sanctions….
This is the NATO endgame short of a nuclear war…
So, what happens if you hit NATO territory with a minimal hit?
Article 5 of the NATO charter imposes no obligation on any member state to resort to military means to come to the aid of the country under attack.
The only obligation is for all NATO states to “regard” an attack on one as an attack on all.
Big whoopie. What do they have to *do* about that?
The operative section is this: “will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually, and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area”
such. action. as. it. deems. necessary.
So a NATO member state *can* come to the military assistance of that attacked country. Sure, they *could* do that.
But it is under no *obligation* to do so, not if that “deem” such a response to be “unnecessary”.
Michael Hudson: Interview with RT – Transcript — The Saker
“The whole plan of the EU 20 years ago was to get rich by investing in Russia, investing in China and a mutual exchange.”
The plan was to shackle Russia and China with debt presented as ‘investment’ as has been done for decades. Then cripple the value of their exports and economy so that loans are required. These loans can only be serviced by selling public assets to the White West. Control of the economy and politics passes to collaborators with NO LOCAL SUPPORT. Then World Bank and IMF ‘loans’ increase desperation by ‘privatizing’ public services and crushing human rights, especially labour rights and police behaviour. The wealth passes quickly to the West, and poverty reigns in the East.
“The whole idea of dollar diplomacy, of the dollar’s free ride and monetary imperialism has ended.”
“Everyone thought it would take 10 years for Russia, China and other countries to break away. Yet the United States itself has broken away from the other countries by grabbing the foreign exchange reserves of Afghanistan, Venezuela and now Russia. Nobody is going to trust [transactions] in oil, [or] trade and invest in dollars anymore because the United States can simply grab whatever money they want from countries that don’t agree to turn over their economic surplus to American investors and American traders. The United States has isolated itself. It’s shot itself in the foot.”
This is the most surprising and welcome development. Catastrophic sanctions have created a new world capable of raising living standards to near First World standards.
– The plan was to shackle Russia and China with debt presented as ‘investment’ as has been done for decades. Then cripple the value of their exports and economy so that loans are required. I.e. done in such a way one has to be an economist to understand what is going on.
To the (Ukrainian) public EU is presented as more freedom, more wealth, more travelling, better housing, better roads, …
“For the last 75 years, the US dollar and US Treasury Bills, loaned to the US government, bonds, have been the safest investment in the world.” Now they are the riskiest investment. The South realizes the EU-US will demonize their leaders for transparently selfish reasons. They will seize assets necessary for development and proper functioning of Southern economies, as they have done to Cuba, Iran, Libya, Venezuela, Afghanistan and Russia. The West made noble fortunes of piracy, slavery, colonial pillaging, indigenous genocides, and brutal racist warfare. They will continue this dance, but to a new anti-Rooski tune.
“Europe is going to increase its food deficit. It’s going to increase its energy deficit. It’s basically committing suicide on behalf of the Americans. I don’t know how long the political system of Europe can go along with leaders who represent America instead of their own national interests.”
The EU is an empty paper bag as the organization’s credibility has never been as low as it is right now. Any political organization that won’t support the most basic human rights, even with something as weak as public denunciation, can’t be respected or trusted. The US-NAYOYO block can only offer the world racism and destruction at the hands of bigots and cruel collaborators.
Henry Kissinger: “To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.”
Yes Ricardo, after refusing to send lethal aid, Germany’s latest delivery of 5000+ land mines to Ukraine is testament to their capitulation, much like wet-blanket Scholz’s return from a visit to America and his capitulation on NS2.
Gets worse! The genocidal US is currently constructing military bases in Yemen. Doing so in the most opportunistic manner under the current ceasefire arrangement with Saudi.
It’s relatively easy to check all currencys real value to nomimal value. First look at nomimal GDP of country and then compared it to GDP-PPP. Of course some countries has rather questionable numbers based on e.g corporate safe harbors like Ireland. 1/4 of Ireland GDP is corporate money assets nothing to do with Ireland’s production.
Indeed poor countries mostly are not so poor as we are thinking. The ratio of nomimal GDP in dollars to GDP-PPP are in some countries even 1 to 5. In Russia it has been long time around 1 to 3.
Really lovely video as well as very illuminating. And such a lovely litter-free park – you’d never find that in England. I was particularly stuck by the point that western sanctions have been made Russians look for local alternatives that they never knew existed. Talk about the boomerang effect! But I can’t find how to access this young man’s other stuff. At last a well groomed, articulate and well educated Englishman that I am proud to call a compatriot, rather than the shower of corrupt buffoons who make up the appalling regime that comprise our political masters.
At 9:54 is a powerful explaination of why sanctions are doomed to fail
That is true “sanctions have never worked on a strong people”. I like this conversation, but being a great grandpa would like to see the baby also.

Yes of course but “the west” is not “keep making mistakes.” The sanction are first and foremost aim at western country to destroy them too.
The “west” is not really a “west” when the rats already infested every country has some of these parasites they do together to ruin us all.
Everybody keep to say “the west incompetent stupid shoot self in foot” or like this nice Lady, they make “mistake ”
Not mistake I tell you not.

Money stays within country, market share go to local companies, which develop themselves and their local supply chains
The only function of economic forecasting is to make astrology look respectable.
John Kenneth Galbraith
Funny, how the opinion-makers demonize astrology… and atypically, on BOTH sides of the propaganda. Both liberals and conservatives are encouraged to be downright embarrassed by the very mention of it.
I wonder why that might be.
Temporary situation as Russian market realigns and adjusts.
Russia can buy tropical fruit from Thailand and China.
http://en.chinaculture.org/a/202205/21/WS62884f34a310fd2b29e5e235.html
Then I stand corrected.
… tropical fruits ?
Those will be in abundence because the entire global south refuses to sanction Russia and it’s Allies
– the economy to shrink by 8-10%
As an economical experiment this will be interesting. I can foresee no unemployment in Russia. If goverment supply credit it may even be growth?
Tomo, your assessment is spot on in all respects. I couldn’t put it better than you. Excellent comment.
Two brilliant aticles

Don’t discredit your opinions by making claims. I live in New Zealand and I can assure you that it is not a police state.
If they forced everyone to get the vaccine…or else lose their jobs… they ARE a police state.
Everyone – stay on topic – any further will go to trash or take the conversation to the cafe. Mod.

Stick that in your pipe, Mr Agent Provocateur and smoke it.
the saker smashes it again with ‘two for one’ – loads of information and a stroll in a beautiful park – this century will see russia evolve even more .
thank you saker
The End.
60 years of sanctions didn’t even work on Cuba
She doesn’t eat at McDonald’s? She doesn’t drink Coco-Cola? Buys Siberian health products? Eats Russian bread? No wonder she looks so healthy.
Veggies in Moscow are produced by food factories :((
Russia should have cut off the gas and oil to Europe as a precursor to the invasion.

Good advice Matts.
me too! your reasons exactly.
Dang Dude aka Brit Bloke…. that was an excellent interview with Natasha!
This list is almost history: natural gas prices for consumers (and business) in different countries

“Belarus 40 dollars/10 000 KWh, Denmark 1420 dollars/10 000 KWh”
Good video, thanks. iEarl Gray does good videos on the current situation with empathy and humour
Pennsylvania Chuck, beautifully written Sir. Those commercials give me the same reaction 🤢. As for the rest, it’s totally FJB’s fault. You’re right about the lies too.

Kind regards.
Can anyone name me one good reason why McDonald’s and Coca Cola is necessary anywhere, and any merit to these things-just one.
its been years since i purchased a carbonated drink, forget that except when travelling i havent purchased any kind of drink in a bottle or packaging except Milk.
Please stop using capitals – its shouting. Mod.
i’ve been under sanctions since 2014—i live in canada, invested in rosneft & it’s been frozen ever since.
What is really funny is Article 5.

I.e. done in such a way one has to be an economist to understand what is going on.
Talk about lowlifes.
….“For the last 75 years, the US dollar and US Treasury Bills, loaned to the US government, bonds, have been the safest investment in the world.”….
Not exactly true, there have been at least 4 soft defaults on the Dollar and US debt in the last 80 years.
1934 – gold confiscated
1971 – gold standard eliminated
1984 – 50% managed devaluation
1994 – Second managed devaluation
Tom Luongo on GDP – https://crushlimbraw.blogspot.com/2022/05/from-currency-resets-to-limiting.html?m=0 – as many other ‘gospel’ stats, it only reflects what the usual suspects wish to reflect.
The real reason sanctions have failed is because there are 2 alternative economies:
1. One based on resources, manufacturing, science, education, culture. Safeguarded by a highly proficient military.
2. One based on voodoo economics, bullshit and lies, and arrogance.
There are several ways to organize a society
– Command structure
– Using accounting and auditing
– Ubuntu / sharing
– Using Money
On a typical day I face Money 10 times, while facing police only 10 times in a lifetime
For the young man’s other stuff, please see the channel iEarlGrey on Telegram.
