my hunch over the past few days — based on twitter feeds — was that whatever ‘evidence’ they presented would be from israel. this confirms it.

Which one? Colonel W. Patrick Lang or the guy who wrote to him? Or the people who spoke to the guy who wrote to him? Just kidding :-)
The report is plausible, although I am amazed that anybody in the US would take anything coming from Unit 8200 seriously. Again, do they really think that the Syrians are stupid enough to wait for a UN inspection team to be in Damascus to engage in a large chemical attack and then to chat about it on Syrian military radio channels knowing full well that they might be intercepted and recorded?
I think that facts have absolutely no relevance to what is going on. At least any discussion of “who done it”. The “real reality” is simple: Assad is winning and the US Empire is desperate to turn the tide. All the other countries are just fighting over the privilege to brown-nose Uncle Sam first.
I am certain that there is no evidence. This is simply the Syrian version of the Srebrenica genocide or the Racak massacre or even of 9/11 for that matter. A pretext for war and nothing else.
The halfway good news is that there are more and more reports saying that what the Empire will do is a 3-day cruise missile campaign to “send a message” to Assad. If they do that, Assad will hear the message loud and clear: “we are not serious, this is just politics”.
We shall see soon.

Saker,
I was thinking about the best response the resistance could take and was curious what you thought of a Syria/HA rocket barrage on Israel until the US stopped. Something along the lines of 2006.
This would 1)immediately put US Arab puppet states in a very awkward position, 2) make it clear that attacks will not be painless for the Imperial side, and 3) eventually put the Israelis in a position of pressuring the US to stop, because if after a month the rockets are still coming, the Israelis will want it to be over.
Lastly 4) It would put in stark terms how KSA and her Salafist minions are nothing but tools of the Ziowest.
Another thing of interest is this:

A couple of commenters at Monn of Alabama linked to it and it suggests Putin will order an attack on KSA in response to a US attack on Syria. I know it is silly, but it’s a pleasant thought.

This all depends on what Uncle Sam or, as I like to call him, Uncle Shmuel does. If this is all symbolic, then a symbolic response would be better. If the Zionists means business, then, by all means, a missile barrage on Israel makes perfectly good sense.
As for Putin bombing the KSA, no, sorry, it ain’t gonna happen. But yes, the thought also puts a happy grin on my face. Besides, if somebody deserves a good bombing its the friggin Saudis… They are every bit as evil as the Israelis, but they are even more hypocritical..
