It’s not parody to suggest that today if you are neither someone who has been accused of sexual misconduct while in office, nor someone who has claimed to have suffered sexual misconduct while in office, you are in the fucking minority, and a minority that is shrinking by the day at that…

Any engineer / mechanic / plumber / carpenter / etc will tell you, you do not buy tools to amass assets, you buy tools to be able to do more work and make more money, and it’s not a zero sum game, you either buy tools and hope to make enough money from them to show a profit, or you do not buy the tools and do something else, and as it turns out the lower the interest rate the less interested anyone is in buying tools, because anyone can borrow money, so everyone is going to use that borrowed money for speculative things like house price inflation, foreign holidays on the plastic and private leased vehicles.

Time was a builder wanted a van he’d buy a transit with double axles and a flatbed on the back that could carry anything, including the steel tool box behind the cab, nowadays so called builders are buying panel vans with custom wheels and fuck off stereos and metallic paint, I can’t recall the last time I saw a double axle flatbed transit that wasn’t in the livery of a utility company, they are the only ones that work for a living.

There is a local road, it’s a main feeder / commuter route, it’s been shut for ten days and another 12 days to go, I drive past it twice a day, I have no idea why the entire road is closed, nobody is working on it, about 100 years down there are some cones around a hole that stretches all of 12 inches away from the kerb, there is no bridge, no overhead works, no nothing, no sane reason why a main route through town should be closed for three weeks… it’s another cult, like the roadworks and traffic signals that appear down the road from me, all I ever see to justify them is the one transit van and trailer that tows the traffic lights and cones away every night and back every morning, the road surface itself is intact and nobody is working on it.. it’s a cult.

Anyhoo, long story short is someone’s kid just got a gold star in “thience” (skools here have done away with separate physics and chemistry and biology etc, replacing it all with “science” which is of course anything but) anyway the teecher holds a spot quiz with a prize of no homework that week for anyone that could answer a really difficult for a 13 years old “thience kwestchun”.

The question was When were LED’s invented?

The kid aced it with “early nineteeen seventies”

Teecher was amazed, as were the rest of the class.

Kid’s dad tells me kid explains to him that he knew the answer because he had been around my place the week before and heard and seen on the big screen media jukebox that early seventies band LED Zeppelin…. so he knew LED’s were at least that old, and since the 70’s is ancient history to a 13 year old, it was unlikely to be in prehistory before that.

I’ve now spent a day running around with ideas of light emitting diode zeppelin (supported by the electric light orchestra of course) and their awesome 1971 world tour with the Tesla Girl etc etc etc running through my head, and laughing…

It’s so much of a *better* story than bonham and plant making a pun on a lead balloon, and of course the hindenburg imagery was still fairly fresh at the time so no leap to see how the album cover artist came up with that one.

Why I am really laughing, and I suppose I should be crying, is the other reported fact that the whole class thinks this kid is a fucking smartass now, and even the teecher agreed, see, as far as the teecher knew, the explanation that a band was named as a tribute to the new technology, and that is how the kid guessed the right answer seemed plausible to the teecher, and after all, all that mattered was the kid got the right answer…. and how could he have got the right answer unless there was some connection there.

I normally go to great lengths to anonymise people, but in this instance, this kid deserves the posterity, because he has unwittingly crafted and planted a meme that once heard, will never go away.

Never in my entire life have I had so many different and disparate methods of being informed, whether that be about a particular subject or a particular region or a particular technology.

Contrarily, never in my life have I been less informed, because there simply is no news or discussion or information out there.

Yesterday I had an email from someone (there were a few cc’s) about USB devices dropping out, no problem, I thought, I’ll just google a couple of quick links to the USB spec and schematics and so on.

Nah, page after page of adword algorithm pimped crap, some of it going back to 2013, in fact there have been three instances in the past couple of months where someone asked me something, and I spent 5 minutes trying to google it because basically I knew *what* I was looking for, just not where to find it, before giving and and saying fuck it and reverting to the 243 gig 69,717 files 9,888 folders PDF library on the local nas box, and finding what I wanted there… a library that I amassed a few years ago as a what if shtf thing, rather than any real immediate practical use.

To be able to do that ONCE on one specialist subject that I cared about is feasible, to be able to do it three times in a few weeks over three entirely separate subjects is astonishing.

It’s not just news, it is data, it is information, the “web” had died and gone to a place where is a marketing playground a bit like those old dead tree computer books that were 300 pages long with 240 pages of adverts and 40 pages of sponsored / promotional articles….

40+ years ago in the Uk we had a weekly think called the Exchange & Mart, it was a small format small ad national thing, just adverts, you could find listings for anything you wanted, used cars, air guns, hifi, garden sheds, you name it.

Interesting how both the prof and the daily fail can not be aware of the real treasure trove of info about a particular town / city and pretty much everything that has gone on there since roman times.

The text below in blue is the complete unedited story text from the daily fail, the red text is my comments.

A respected Salvation Army major who took advantage of a schoolgirl’s ‘crush’ was caught decades later after the victim’s relative told her she had been abused. 

So the “victim” did not know she was a victim until 20 or 30 (decades) years had passed, and it was only then, when a relative told her, that she realised she was a victim.

At no time in the intervening 20 or 30 years did she ever read or see or hear or think anything to make her question what (allegedly) happened.

Anthony Huntington, 55, was jailed for four years after conducting a boyfriend-girlfriend-type relationship with an underage girl, committing the offences during trips to the baths, in his car after cinema outings and while giving her guitar lessons. 

Ok, so the guy is 55 and was just jailed for four years, so we are inferring that this 55 year old guy had a “boyfriend girlfriend type”, eg consensual, sexual relationship, with an “underage” girl, which might mean 15 years and 11 months old, or 17 years and 11 months old, we are not told the “girls” age, we aren’t told she was a young woman, we are however heavily steered towards the implication that there is probably a 40 year age gap between this sick paedo bastard and this poor innocent little girl.. who consented at the time, and who considered him to be her boyfriend at the time, and apparently for the next 20 or 30 years.. it’s all so very confusing.

Durham Crown Court heard that the abuse only came to light two decades later when the girl discussed it with a relative and then confronted him on Facebook.

Ok so now we are told it was a 20 year plus gap, call it 25, so the guy who is 55 now was around 30 at the time, and the guy who is a sally army sarnt major now, might have been a delivery driver or plumber or anything else at the time…

And again we have confirmation that until the talk with the relative, the “girl” saw nothing wrong with this “boyfriend-girlfriend type” relationship for 25 years.

Prosecutor Shaun Dodds said Huntington, of Peterlee, Durham, ‘more or less’ made full admissions, apologising and telling her he hoped he had not hurt her.

“More or less” is a lot less than more, especially when you consider the qualifier, hope you weren’t hurt by it, the sort of thing anyone in their fifties could say to anyone in their long dim and distant past, hey, hope I wasn’t too much of an asshole towards you back when I was a young asshole punk…

A “more or less” admission and a “hope I didn’t hurt you” that was said to the alleged victim on fuckbook, by the way, not a statement that was made with a lawyer present.

The victim, who is now an adult, had seen Huntington as some sort of ‘father-figure’ at the time when he took advantage of her ‘schoolgirl’s crush’ and molested her. 

Well, given that 25 years have passed, even if the “victim” was 3 months old at the time, she would now be an adult, and suddenly we have gone from a “boyfriend girlfriend type” relationship to something “father figure”… interesting how the dice roll and how the roll changes each sucessive time.

The court heard that as a Salvationist, he was a Sergeant Major, who had helped to run a Sunday school.

So the court heard that 25 years later he was doing something different, and “HAD helped to run a sunday school” could apply equally well to to the accountant who never visits the premises, or a fundraiser or anything else… since there is no mention that he is at the school with the kids H^H^H^H new victims of sexual abuse, we can safely assume that he was never at this school that he “helped run” while kids were there alone in his custody…

Mr Dodds said in her impact statement, the victim said she was, ‘disgusted and angry’ at what had taken place and felt he had taken advantage and, ‘interfered’ with her, as a child.

So disgusted and angry that she thought ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of it for 25 years, until some relative said something, allegedly, now it’s not even a “boyfriend girlfriend type” of relationship, he “interfered” with her, just a one way street from an old paedo to a young innocent thing.

In a victim impact statement, she said: ‘I didn’t know it was wrong at the time. 

Nor for 25 fucking years later apparently, nothing in 20 + years of adult life gave you the slightest inkling that anything wrong happened, not until that fateful day one “relative” talked to you.

‘Huntington gave me the attention I didn’t get at home, so I didn’t push him away. What happened has traumatised me, I’m disgusted that anyone could treat a child in the way he treated me.’

“boyfriend girlfriend type” relationship remember, so now you are complaining that a “boyfriend” paid you attention???

Maybe the “relative” who advised her is somehow connected to the “relative” who did not give her any attention or care at home back in the day… you think>?

The victim, who is now an adult, said that she had ‘trouble sleeping’ after realising the abuse and even considered suicide.

We’re back to the now an adult thing, 25 years later, and the thing that never bothered her for 25 years suddenly makes her all depressed and suicidal.

The 55-year-old, of Peterlee, who has no previous convictions, admitted six counts of indecent assault.

Sounds like the guy, when presented with what he did 25 years ago, copped to it, yup, should have known better, sure she consented and all that but as the elder person and male I should have know better, anyway, he pleaded to six instances of indecent assault, not rape or having sex with a minor, so we can kind of dismiss all that shit about little children and sex and stuff, sounds a lot more like holding hands and the odd kiss and cuddle, and yes, that shit *will* get you an indecent assault charge.

NO previous convictions though, not even drink or drugs or speeding.

Rod Hunt, mitigating, who handed several character references to the court, said: ‘Everyone who writes on his behalf is astounded and hurt that someone they look up to has this weakness and has caused harm.

They are probably astounded because 25 years ago they may not even have known the guy back then.

‘They can hardly believe it. They don’t condone him, but they would expect him to come clean about it, so as not to cause any more pain.

Yup, guy has some character, if he did wrong in the past, he would fess up to it, he probably has enough character to not be railroaded into confessing to something he did not do though, so indecent assault 6 times against one willing person 25 years ago looks to be it.. btw showing your 15 year old girlfriend a copy of a wank mag technically counts as indecent assault, as does wanking in front of her, there doesn’t have to be any actual physical contact.

The indecent assault offence SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES rape, btw, so we know there was no actual sex, because actual sex even with a consenting minor in a “boyfriend girlfriend type” relationship is still rape.

‘He knows he should not have done what he did, even though it was consensual, and, as soon as he was confronted by the complainant, he admitted it.’

So why not tell us what he did, was it a kiss, was it a cuddle, was it some grabass, no, we are too busy stressing that he is 55 and the victim was / is a child and the whole thing was sexual and disgusting, the fucking paedo pervert

Jailing him, Recorder Timothy Roberts QC told Huntington his victim Regarded him as her ‘boyfriend’.

‘But, you knew how corrupting it was and you persisted in it, on several occasions,’ he said. 

So he didn’t beat the shit out of the infatuated girl and send her home crying to the home where she was neglected and ignored, so as to scare her away, for his own safety.

Huntington was also made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for ten years and registration as a sex offender indefinitely.

Game over man, and now the “victim” is entitled to substantial cash compo from the state, no doubt to be shared with the “relative” who advised her.

So the truth here is little enough happened 25 years ago, maybe with 20-20 hindsight it was cringeworthy, but neither of the parties involved had any issues with it for 25 years, so why did it suddenly become an issue, and why is it suddenly news?

There should be a 72 hour limit on ALL allegations of any kind of violence or abuse, sexual or not, because after 72 hours all the evidence is gone forever.

Can I sue the guy who sold me a vauxhall victor for 70 quid in 1982 because the asshole obviously knew damn well the clutch was about to die?

Why not, if this skank can take this guy to the cleaners 25 years later, what is the fucking difference, if you were happy to NOT report that shit EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY OF YOUR LIFE for 25 years then it is a big fat zero.

When the boot is on the other foot and I *facing* the guy who can walk away and not look back, I’m all Ok mate, here is what I need, tell me what you need to make it happen, and while you are at it, tell me if I am asking for the wrong thing, or asking in the wrong way, I’m paying you for your skill and experience so I’m quite happy to hear things that I might not like, like my design being shit because it entails custom mould tooling to be made by the factory and that’s 10k bucks to start with, when there are other ways…

So part 1 was sort of about what I was doing and why, and part 2 was about the process, so part 3 is about the reality and the future.

For many years if I wanted to control something like a cnc milling machine / Mach3, or run a dedicated private webserver, I’d utilise what I used to call the “50 buck PC” which basically meant any old piece of shit second hand PC that I found on gumtree / craigslist / fleabay / etc.

About 10 years ago I had three of these pc’s and three old raq webservers and a ups sat in a big old rack in the hallway of my house at the time, and so it was for quite some time, until one day I bought a portable power / watt meter in a plug sort of thing, and ran around the house for the next few weeks measuring everything.

Imagine my surprise to find that as expected bedrooms 1 2 and 3 used bugger all, exterior used bugger all, garage used bugger all, but my hallway used as much as the kitchen (image above) and the bathroom (13 kw electric shower, radiant heater etc) combined.

Turns out that dripping taps will fill a swimming pool, and old 50 buck pc’s drip quite a lot, 4 kWh per day to be precise, or 1,460 kWh per year, @ 25p per kWh that’s 365 quid per year on ‘lectric… oh, I had gone through them all carefully to minimise power consumption, disks spun down and everything.

Not that any of those old things were crays, bunch of old shit pentium II stuff sd-ram eide hdd and so on, all compares very unfavourably performance wise with the celeron 3150 brix.. and at 10 watts peak consumption 0.24 kWh per day peak 87 kWh peak per year @ 25p per kWh that’s £21.90 per year in electric, peak, true usage is nearer 15 quid… Ok that’s only one brix so x6 = 90 quid a year to run six brix’s, the power savings in one year alone buy 1.5 brix, and really, let’s get real world and go back to pentium 2/3 and eide and sdram, I reckon one brix with 4 core celeron and ssd and 64 bit OS will outlift any two of those old boxes, probably three.

At that point two brix vs 6 old boxen the brix will pay for themselves within a year, and lift heavier loads.

An arduino (teh full size one) for 11 quid is a dirt cheap microcontroller, at 20 arduinos for one 4 core celeron 3150 brix (inc 4 gig of ram and ssd) is a dirt cheap x86 pc.

So lets get real about the current brix, it does one job, run a fibre galvo, and it uses around 30-32% cpu and 50% of the 4 gig installed ram to do it.

A lot of the time I will be working at 0.03 or 0.01 mm (30 and 10 micron) resolution, I can work to ten times that, but lets stick with 10 micron.

At ten micron with the head scanning at a very moderate 2,500 mm/sec you get 250,000 discrete “points” per second, and for each point such things has laser head pwm frequency, base power and so on all have to be set, so there are a whole bunch of data points for each individual point, and all this is done in real time by the host PC (the brix in this case) from the cad drawings in the laser control software, and shoved out to the laser itself over USB to control it in real time (technically there are electronics within the laser that interpret those driver signals so think printer, printer driver, printer driver board, rather than arduino like direct port / pin output) and of course any errors or skipped steps anywhere and the whole thing turns to crap….

My old mach3 set up with the mill would max out at 100 khz and that was it and that was way more than enough for 3 axis control at up to 1,500 mm/min in any axis plus spindle etc etc

This thing is “barely idling” at 1,500 mm/sec and at 1 micron res that’s 1,5 million points per second, all with individual PWM / power / etc

And the brix runs it at 30% load.

At 5-10% load I’d have wasted money and bought something too powerful for the task, at 75% load I could probably have been wise to get slightly more powerful for the task, just in case, at 30% load I got it just about right.

I plumped for the 4 core 3150 celeron brix because I know these processors are going into embedded industrial PC’s, which are really not *much* more than a brix built to an industrial standard with some watchdog addons etc, so 500 quid a pop not 200, and a fair proportion of industrial PC’s do *real* work for a living.

As I said before, unless you are in pursuit of benchmark hilarity or playing crysis at high res etc, these celerons are really very capable processors, much more so than people think.

Sure, 224 kb of L1 and 2 mb of L2 and no L3 is nothing compared to a xeon, which is the epitome of heavy living for massively corcurrent processes, but my now 3-4 year old socket 2011 i7 is guess what, 4 cores, same as the 3150 celeron, though each core is split into two logicals, unlike the 3150 celeron, and 256 kb of L1, 1 mb of L2 (half the celeron) and 10 mb of L3, sure it also has double the clock and quad channel ram and so on, but the processor and mainboard and ram cost me best part of 1,000 when I bought it new, that’s 5 brix’s in today’s money.

The socket 2011 *will* play crysis, it will also hammer the 3150 celeron at video encoding or creating multi gigabyte archives or working with 500 meg CAD files, but I’ll be honest with you, many days it doesn’t get *any* of those tasks thrown at it

Closing thoughts

I think the celeron 3150 + ssd + 4 gig brix is a stonkingly good little PC, it has no moving parts, it sips power, it is capable of surprisingly heavy lifting, it is tiny, it is cheap.

I can see *many* uses and applications, given the limitations of the form factor that prevent plugging in a full size gfx card or an array of 6tb WD reds, from the home rolled car PC to the home rolled active firewall to the home rolled automation / monitoring / control PC.

I think it also makes a great “I just want a PC to browse the internet, do emails, and do office stuff” setup, whether for older people or younger ones.

I think it makes a great “why have a virtual machine when you can have a real one” PC.

I think it would be a great little webserver.

It has wifi and bluetooth on board, so it would make a great little portable wifi / bluetooth / mesh hub

It only has the one RJ45 so you could only use it at a wifi firewall, but that might be good too, I can see applications where that would work.

It would make a great mp3 / audio streaming box, or plug in an external usb3 disk and it would stream 1080p no problem over hdmi, so it would work as a kiosk box too

It would make a great “fit and forget” decryption box too, I have two hard disk images and 5 rar archives on the nas, I’ll be completely honest with you I can’t remember what are in any of them, three of them were legacy items that came to me from someone deceased, a brix would make a great little brute force box, just check it every couple of months, if it does it does, if it doesn’t it doesn’t.

A previous commenter asked about crypto currencies, I don’t actually know anything useful about them, but for 200 quid and 10 watts max power and total silence I wouldn’t be too dismissive of the number crunching ability of a brix running 24/7 for weeks or months, rather like the dripping tap kwh power consumptions of those old 50 quid PC’s, I suspect the final numbers will be surprisingly high.

I have heard already from one person who just ordered one, he is going to use it to brute force wifi and then packet flood the network to death, he is actually buying two, the second one will just run wireshark, cheaper and easier and better than plan A which was scouring craigslist for a couple of old stinkpads….

I’m not going to bother with photos of the object itself, there are plenty of those on the net, basically it fits in the palm of your hand and weighs nothing.

First disclaimer / caveat is the install media was a generic USB stick containing a win10 image created by Rufus, so it’s not the fastest data source on the planet.

Out of the packaging it tries to boot from the empty Plextor SSD fitted and throws an error, go into bios and select the USB stick as boot source and away we go… did a new install and “new” option partition on the SSD.

Didn’t time anything and was doing other stuff at the time, but just about 10 minutes to the first reboot and 15 minutes to the desktop, which I am not complaining about, and nor should you.

Took another 30 minutes to first install OO Shut Up and kill all the win10 processes I don’t want including update, then off to Ninite.com for a 1 click installer for all the utilities I wanted, then 10 minutes after that to install word and excel from office 2010.

Now the acid test, will it run a cnc machine, in this case a modern 2017 edition fibre galvo metal marking laser?

So this is task manager with the cnc machine actually running a job, it is worth pointing out here that this is a headless box, so this screenshot was taken from an active RDP session as well, which adds a small overhead to the process.

Everything we need to know about the ability of this brix to do real work is answered right here, two cores are idle and the CNC process I bought it to run uses about 30% CPU (note it is pretty much all kernel time processing) s0 at first blush it is looking pretty much ideal for the role as a compact low power dedicated PC, but one which runs Win10 so you can install pretty much anything you want on it, and RDP in etc.

Caveats / Gotchas.

I deliberately used an older version of Win10, there is a 4.5 gig update available if you let it, I did not want this, I deliberately chose the earlier version of win10 and immediately locked it down from updating.

The version of win10 that I used left a whole bunch of things in device manager as unknowns, I do not know if the updated version would know about all these things, the box comes with a driver DVD which I just copied and pasted via RDP, so no big deal.

I used wifi for the install setup, one of the things that was unknown was the micro sd card slot reader, so maybe copy the DVD to another usb stick.

The box I bought has a proper RGB VGA 15 pin analog output to monitor as well as HDMI, a bunch of usb, audio, RJ45 network and the aforementioned micro sd card, and one power button on the top.

The *only* real caveats were the BIOS shipped looking for an OS on the blank Plextor SSD and so did not see the Rufus Win10 usb, which was easy fixed, and the version of win10 I used didn’t have drivers for many of the peripherals, and the drivers are supplied on DVD, which the box can’t see natively.

Far too early to talk about longevity and reliability and so on, it’s not industrial grade hardware, but early indications are it works out of the box so like most electronics it should continue to just work.

Bottom line is £250 quid including VAT is £200 excluding VAT if you are in business and can claim it back, and for £200 this brix represents some serious value for money, hell it would run an office desktop or make an ideal kids computer for homework and study, sure, it won’t play games punk, but you said you needed a computer to do school work, so fuck you.

But at 6-10 watts power consumption I see a real application here as a dedicated single task PC such as I have used it for here, it’s the sort of thing where if someone gave me 10 of them, I’d find a use for 5 of them within a week, and the others not long after.

The physical box stops it being a NAS, as does the mainboard itself, if you want that go MicroATX like the asus H81 or equivalent, it has the sata ports already on board, then all you need is a decent case (talked about my nas box on here before) so do not forget the form factor with this Brix.

Nor is it waterproof or suitable for harsh environments.

IMHO only a complete cunt would put a spinning rust HDD in one of these, SSD every time, no moving parts, more speed.

Complete windows backup image stored on the NAS is 14.5 gigs, so the 120 gig plextor SSD is more than big enough, and the 4 gig of installed ram is enough too.

The brix from gigabyte is a small form factor PC with an external 19 VDC power brick and as you may have guessed from the 19 VDC power brick, basically laptop origin internals.

It’s not a “thing” so much as a range of things, and therein lies the first problem, which one do you get?

I personally do not see the point in shoehorning an intel i7 into one of these babies, if I am going to run an i7 I want a full size case with lots of PCI-E slots, because that is one huge potential issue with the brix, forget expansion and upgrades, like the laptop the only thing you’ll be changing is the HDD and RAM.

Gigabyte have a store on amazon, so I opted for the celeron based unit, model number 3150, with gigabyte supplied and fitted 120 gig ssd and 4 gig of laptop style low voltage ram, with free prime delivery it runs to 250 quid.

This is barebones, so no OS, and the 3150 is based on the intel 14nm Intel^® N3150 cpu, aka celeron, 4 cores and 6 watts power dissipation, and half the benchmark speeds of an i5

And there is the first issue, people dismiss it as being too weedy to do anything with, and for sure it is too weedy to play pretty much any kind of game except solitaire, and it is too weedy for heavy CAD work, or heavy video encoding, or a bunch of other tasks.

But, you’d be surprised what you can do with a celeron, I have an earlier 2 core version running my NAS box on a asus h81 micro atx board, and it can saturate the gigabit lan on reads and writes, and I can rdp in when it is doing that and see maybe 20% cpu usage.

We are both spoiled and ruined by the “one box must do anything and everything, and fast” mentality, for dedicated applications a modern 4 core celeron and limited to a maximum 8 gig of ram is more than more than enough for many, many, many tasks.

Sadly IMHO the only dedicated task most people can come up with for these is a dedicated media server, and they are used a lot to power screens in public spaces, but for 10x arduino money you have a genuine intel x86 compatible PC that will run win10 or the linux distro of your choice while staying silent and sipping the watts.

Add a 7″ touchscreen and you have a car pc that will blow away anything you can buy, including all the android based ones, for significantly less money than them, for just one example.

My own application is controlling a piece of cnc machinery.

So the one I have bought is 56.1x 107.6 x 114.4mm in size and has onboard Intel IEEE 802.11 ac, Dual Band Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.0 NGFF M.2 cardUSB3 ports and so on as expected.

Part II to follow…. which will be win10 install, setup / config / lockdown, app software and observations about performance and usage etc with some rdp screens showing actual resource usage etc.

Had an interesting convo today, while I was out and about after shopping on amazon, on the subject of wimminz taking deadbeat dads to the cleaners via the secret family courts.

It was interesting because this person used to be a staunch team cunt apologist, to the point where previously she would never listen to a word anyone said to the contrary.

5. How come 5 years later the deadbeat dad has largely rebuilt his life, and is still on good terms with all his friends and employers and acquaintances?
6. How come 5 years later the saintly skanky wimminz is even further down the career / public status / social standing ladder?
7. How come the kids school friends do not feel welcome in the house run by skank ho mommy, so the kids are always visiting with their friends, rather than the other way around?
8. How come when the skanky ho wimminz get everything they wanted, and the deadbeat dad gets nothing he wanted, the skanky ho’s never make anything with the surplus they are granted, and the deadbeat dad always makes do and amends?

Now she is down to trying to find someone who will install “a ton of rocks in a mesh cube” piers / buttresses, it won’t cure the problem and she will never be able to sell the place, but at least she should be able to carry on living there.

Inside on the mantelpiece there is a picture of the place taken 20 years ago, it looks bloody lovely, but hubby was still married to her then, and he took care of all that maintenance shit.

I was talking about this to someone today, in my own small business I reckon my IT work along would cost between 5-7k every year if I had to pay someone to do it, I DIY of course but to many that just makes it invisible.

And the subject of IT brings me back to the beginning, got a new brix arriving tomorrow, so I’ll do a write up here about it… 200 odd quid for a new SFF PC from amazone…
