Dear friends,
Pedro Aznar is probably my favorite living Argentinian composer, musician and vocalist. I recently came across this short message which he posted on the Internet and I asked my friend Ana (thanks Ana!) from the LatinAmerican Saker blog to provide a quick translation. Here is the original video in Spanish followed by the transcript!
Pedro Aznar reflects about Corona Virus
The question remains. I watch the empty streets on TV with a silent soul; cities appear like mockups in an apocalyptic film about a war where everything still stands, but there is no one left.
I hear the neighbors decorate a quite disquiet as best as possible. My friends are barely able to hide their despair. They either take care of their parents or cry about them and hardly know what to tell their children.
We share lists of recommended films, books or inspirational sentences, jokes and good wishes with a half mast joy, like those greetings to far relatives in a hospital waiting room of a terminal patient.
I fall asleep after a couple of rounds of remote-control zapping, while I ask myself, like everyone else, how long still?
I get outraged on the bad taste of the opportunists who try to catch a minute of air by either saying or doing some demagogical nonsense. I exasperate about those beasts who overflow with false alarms. I get sick and tired of always hearing the same and the lack of another subject.
I understand, accept and comply with the big pause-button imposed to the world, and ask myself whether, we will rise in a better shape at the other side of fear. We could have done this before; we could have stopped everything to avoid succumbing.
Why are we unable to stop, shuffle and hand again, in a world that hastily rushes to the abyss?
Governments come up now with ideas to sustain the economy, through subsidies and tax cuts, and giving incentives. Why did they not do so to stop the nefarious paradigm and avoid the derailment we were heading for, instead of tightening ahead the throat of the planet with a claw of filth and greed?
It doesn’t matter who started the pulsed. Whether the virus was planted or not. The question remains: when all this has come to pass, will we still allow everything to stay as it was before?
Hi Saker – this is a scary youtube about the
World Economic Forum’s plans for covid 19 –
even if folks ‘dislike’ this woman speaking – she starts to cover a very important topic – after a few personal remarks about Christ – just endure her ‘way’ until she begins her presentation…its very important https://youtu.be/OI6QVDeOa1k
This is a must see video go to the web site after you watch it and verify for yourself!
I think they will have an impossible time implementing all that everywhere. How are they going to control the massive revolts? How would they convince the police and the military to go along with this? Are they ok with drinking bug juice too? Sooner rather than later, I could imagine, some are going to be hunting for those in authority who would be promoting these monstrosities.
I can think of one thing that might cause many to submit: fear!
Mr Mouldy (and fellow Canadian),
In (my inexpert opinion) answer to you skepticism,
First, and as the presenter said, these “agendas” will be introduced in various places and at various pace, always keeping in mind the need to not lose control (from the ruler’s point of view) of the greater “plan”.
Second, I would like to remind you of something H. Kissinger said just a few years ago…when NATO troops are brought into LA to quell social/civil uprising, people will welcome them…(sorry not a direct quote as I can’t be bothered to look it up.)
When soldiers shoot at civilians, it won’t be at their own brothers and sisters but at total strangers, much easier to do. Why do you think our own DoD just announced that there is to be continuity of our overseas commitments/”missions”?
As to the police, a look South of the border shows that they don’t even need to be that well rewarded to be on board with brutalizing their own.
As well, “hunting those in authority” would mostly only eliminate easily replaceable agents of the real (mostly hidden) power structure.
Be safe and aware everyone,
J-P
He describes our interesting position at the center of an ambuscade:
“The question remains: when all this has come to pass, will we still allow everything to stay as it was before?”
But what was before led to this. The Mideast charnel circus, the Trump loose bolt regime, the “do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law” for persons with cash, lots of cash. And they really are doing what they wilt, to all of us, good and hard.
If another version of “before” comes to pass, it will just lead to another version of now.
Despair is a sin. But not seeing the trap we are all in is hubris, currently a bigger sin than despair.
“when all this has come to pass”
Now that most of the sheeple bought into the hysteria, why should it ever stop?
Few were heeding the warnings, in real life or online. Everything that follows, all the pain that will befall the sheeple is self inflicted.
No need for you to fret. With your keen insight and forethought, you will be able to escape it all. Alas, if only we had paid heed to your words, as one of the few who had unraveled all the mysteries and contradictions.
I am a sheep and I have a Shepherd. I will trust Him. Thank you.
It will never be the “same” again. Just read that some lady was knocked out cold and died of her injuries due to not keeping “social distancing”. Americans, in particular, will look at their neighbor with such stigma and suspicion. Any who just coughs will probably be looked at and avoided at all cost. Even in need of help, they will just be walked over. Welcome to a refreshed and new America. To paraphrase a comment by Putin, America has become a godless country.
whoa. hold on on “pardner”– who is not to say that things will not get better? To buy the hype that we are all fundamentally bad and deserve to die or at least kill our neighbor before they get to us IS the hype.
That this is a nasty, convoluted virus is one true fact but everything else concluded from such is not ipso facto.
I am glad to see that the administration of Moscow is at least telling the truth about how this is Not an older person’s disease–half the cases are 40 and under in their ICUs. The death rate is higher among older people but not the infection rate.
We will see what happens . In the Moscow plague of 1771 the populace went out and killed the Bishop of Moscow ( yes, he was being an idiot and, yes, they had their plague deniers back then, too). Finally a capable administrator and General ( Orlov by name and, a pal of Catherine,) arrived to huddle with the Mds of the time in order to get things gradually under control.
Life, just because we all have inner templates, does not mean we have to follow them heedlessly.
Will we allow things to remain as they were before? No, I suspect everything will be much worse in as much as there must be a reason why this mess is now so unnecessarily thrust upon us.
I’m an American, there is no before. This is just the new normal. Like most of my compatriots I have adjusted and accept the social distances. My neighbors don’t seem to enjoy face to face communications and I don’t know anything about them as a result. I suspect the two neighbors immediately next to me have bugged out to the hills in their RVs taking their toilet paper with them. They never said a word to me since my family moved in, but I noticed their houses are empty and the RVs are gone. You might think this is satire but it is not.
“The question remains: when all this has come to pass, will we still allow everything to stay as it was before?”
Short of overthrowing the power structures that ran things before this crisis, the answer is ‘Yes’, we will allow everything to stay as it was before.
Pedro seems under the illusion ‘we’ have the power to decide and change things, but that power would first have to be ‘taken’ somehow.
Agree, the current governments are well dug in and protected like never before. The unarmed bobby on the beat is long gone. In his place is the faceless militarized policeman complete with automatic rifle, body armor, armored vehicles and extensive surveillance capabilities.
Torches and pitchforks anyone? Assuming of course that you can convince the masses that the government does not have their best interests at heart in the first place.
Proud of my fellow musician and “compatriota“ Pedrito Aznar……i feel the same
Sebastian; from Argentina.
The worst thing in all this, is the sheeple or the matrix people.
I read about a Chinese migrant worker who killed 4 of his working comrades. He had entered China for work to get money for a surgery to his father.
The Employer continued to prolong payment of salaries and gave only food. After 6 month the Chinese migrant began complaining to his bosses about the lack of payment.
His bosses continued to drag it out and he went aggressive in their offices and were kicked out from the fenced site.
He succeeded to get inside again and approached the bosses office to demand his payment, but his own comrades fronted him shoulder by shoulder defending not him but their the boss, why he went berserk with a knife and killed 4 of them.
In court sentenced to death by hanging, he said the killings were caused by the exploitation he was exposed to. His bosses were never charged on anything.
Morale. The sheeple will stand shoulder by shoulder to defend any maniac and injustice. So who is the real enemy?
