Crazy times!
It turns out that the Colombian thugs which killed the President of Haiti were linked to both the DEA and the FBI. The former agency confirmed that the killers were, indeed, part of a DEA team, but they never got the order to kill anybody. Right.
[Sidebar for the alternatively gifted: if you are thinking “oh no! The DEA is a respected branch of the US government, they would never do that“, I remind you that this latest assassination was in many ways very similar to the (failed) coup against Maduro (when they tried to blow him up with a drone) and the (also failed) “invasion from the sea”, again against Maduro (whom they wanted to kidnap and bring to the USA) which was also executed by thugs close to US three letter agencies.]
In the meantime, the Mayor of Miami wants the US military to bomb Cuba. His logic? Both Republicans and Democrats bombed sovereign nations in full illegality (no UNSC Resolution). Does that mean that he wants Russia to bomb the USA for all the truly innumerable cases of human rights and civil right violations committed in the US?
By the way, the riots in Cuba were very limited and short lived, especially if compared to the numerous violent protests in Colombia.
It is also funny to see how Cuban rioters are freedom fighters whereas the protesters of Jan 6th are “terrorists”.
Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi I suppose…
Putin has just authored a seminal article on the history of Russia and the Ukraine. See here for the article itself, and for a follow-up interview here. I won’t write a detailed reaction/analysis of this text for the two following reasons:
- The facts listed by Putin are uncontroversial, you can find them in any decent history book. The way the Ukronazis deal with this is to invent a totally new “history” of the Ukraine, but without contributing any facts to substantiate their imaginary reality.
- As for Putin’s analysis and conclusions, I agree with them.
Finally, there is a lot of things going on in the Ukraine, “Ze” seems to be in real trouble as the Biden Admin seems to be preparing a “post-Ze” period. Very interestingly, the Ukronazi strongman cum (now ex-) Minister of the Interior, Arsen Avakov, either was resigned or resigned voluntarily. Most observers agree that the reason for this was to decouple Avakov (which the Empire still needs) from “Ze” (which is totally useless) before “Ze” sinks to the bottom of the ocean. It is too early to pick a version, but knowing the Ukraine, the info about what just happens will definitely leak and will be made public by the Ukrainian opposition leaders and analysts (Elena Bondarenko, Anatolii Sharii, Rostislav Ishchenko, Mikhail Pogrebinskii, etc.).
Very bad news from France: Macron clearly wants to make anti-Covid vaccines mandatory, first for healthcare workers and, this fall, apparently for everybody. Knowing the French, there will be violent resistance to this kind of freedom-crushing measures. A military coup is also always a possibility. The “great silent one” as the French military is often called might not remain silent, especially not after many French generals warned that France is at the edge of a major collapse.
Yesterday was the National Holiday of France and the cops beat the living crap of the many rioters which took to the streets to protest the policies of the French government. That is “democracy” at work I suppose :-)
In Russia, the Moscow Patriarchate, always the obedient mouthpiece for whoever happens to be sitting in the Kremlin, has gone as far as to declare that those who refuse the vaccination are committing a sin! Here is the original article (in German) about this: https://de.rt.com/russland/120250-russisch-orthodoxe-kirche-impfverweigerer-begehen/ and here is a machine translation into English: https://translate.yandex.com/translate?lang=de-en&url=https%3A%2F%2Fde.rt.com%2Frussland%2F120250-russisch-orthodoxe-kirche-impfverweigerer-begehen%2F.
Keep in mind that Putin himself said that there would never be mandatory vaccinations in Russia, so in this case the Moscow Patriarchate tried to over-please the Kremlin a little too much and, as as result, we have this weird situation of Putin saying that each Russian can decide for himself/herself whether to take a vaccine or not, and the MP adds that “yes, you a free, but say “no” and you are sinning before God”. Truth be told, these folks are selected for their total obedience, not for their brains…
Of course, there is absolutely NO theological excuse for such a crazy statement, none! Keep in mind that the person who made that statement is not just some lone, crazy, bishop but the Chairman of the Department for external Church relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Hilarion. It don’t get more official than that. Also, “Patriarch” Kirill used to occupy that function in the past (the Dep of External Relation of the Moscow Patriarchate was simply a franchise of the bad old Soviet KGB) and that is a function which only the most trusted candidates are allowed to ever reach. You can think of the MP as a combination of Peskov and Zakharova, only dressed up in clerical vestments.
In conclusion, I have a dilemma and I would ask for your opinion: as many of you know, I have a very bad opinion of the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) and I don’t even recognize it as a legitimate part of the Russian Orthodox Church. I could write up an article explaining it all, but I ALSO am aware that the MP is under attack by all the russophobic factions in the West and under attack by western religious sects (including the woke-home-lobby in both the US and EU). Last, but certainly not least, there are a lot of people who simply don’t know the history of the MP and who sincerely take it to be a Russian Orthodox Church. If I break the truth to them, they will be hurt and deeply offended.
I think my latest “cage rattling” exercise about the COVID-deniers proves that I do not shy away from writing deeply unpopular things (writing has never been a popularity contest for me, and since I have no ads and, therefore, no ad-money, I don’t have to worry about my controversial positions affecting my revenue. But while I have no respect for the attitude, behavior and intolerance of the COVID-deniers, I have a great deal of respect for the Russian Orthodox faithful who know very little about the history of the MP and who very sincerely love their parish priest, possibly even their ruling bishop. And I do not want to offend these “little ones” (in faith).
So what do I do? Do I break this abscess and let all the pus out, or shall I wait for better times?
Please let me know.
I will end on a funny note: a US “diplomat” was caught on CCTV stealing a sign along a train track near the city of Tver in Russia. It was not the FSB or the FSO which caught him, but the local police department. The “diplomat” was quickly and quietly removed from Russia by the US Embassy. This happened earlier this Spring, but the Russians released the video (see here) only now. I knew that US diplomats nowadays were crap, but that kind of kleptocracy really reaches a new low :-) Next, the Russians will catch a US “diplomat” exhibiting himself in front of schoolchildren or eating his own feces. Should that happen, Uncle Shmuel will blame the “KGB” (sic) for using an super dooper and super secret “energy weapon” against the coprophagic “diplomat” (especially if “diversity” in hiring continues to be the #1 criteria for the US government).
Hugs and cheers
The Saker
PS: about the US fleeing from Afghanistan, there is an interesting question which all should ask ourselves. The question has two parts. Part one: how many countries has the US invaded, or bombed, or overthrown or otherwise subverted since the end of WWII? and part two: to how many of those countries did the US bring freedom, democracy and progress?
“In conclusion, I have a dilemma and I would ask for your opinion: as many of you know, I have a very bad opinion of the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) and I don’t even recognize it as a legitimate part of the Russian Orthodox Church. As a Roman Catholic I can sympathize Saker. There are many of us who do not accept Francis I as a legitimate Pope, with many questions surrounding Pope Benedict XVI’s “resignation”, and the fact that Francis is a flaming heretic who obstinately opposes clear Christian morality and dogma. Only today, this Antipope has once again attempted to suppress the Historical Traditional Latin Mass, because as he himself made known, rigid (orthodox) Catholics prefer it and want nothing to do with the liberal modernist reforms of Vatican II or the Protestantized Mass of Paul VI, an experimental concoction much like our covid vaccines.
“But while I have no respect for the attitude, behavior and intolerance of the COVID-deniers, I have a great deal of respect for the Russian Orthodox faithful who know very little about the history of the MP and who very sincerely love their parish priest, possibly even their ruling bishop. I missed the opportunity to comment there save one quick reply to someone before you closed them, but what I wanted to say is that if you are receiving much harsher replies or criticism than you are used to seeing (and from what I scanned through, I believe that you’re lucky that commenters are very restrained with you compared to other places), it is because the covid issue is affecting people everywhere – directly.
This isn’t like reporting on some war or skirmish or incident isolated to one part of the world. Now your readers worldwide are directly involved, as are their livelihoods if not their lives.
Who do you think will be more emotional amongst your commenters if say you wrote about War in Syria? Syrians? Or people anywhere else? Obviously a Syrian man who is most directly affected and has things to lose would be more predicated towards an overly-emotional response, especially if you were to take a position different from what he knows or is experiencing on the ground.
It is the same with Covid. The “deniers” as you label them feel threatened and that a war has been brought upon them.
As for what you should do – it is the same dilemma many in the West face concerning affairs in the Church by clerical Judases who’ve sold them out and abused them and are apostates through and through who got there because in the end God has determined that His people have sinned against Him and we deserve it.
If the little ones are more at risk by not being informed, then it is better that scandal should arise than for the Truth to be suppressed, as Pope St. Gregory stated.
If they are that weak in their faith, then you need to pull double duty and strengthen them in it properly so that natural scandals and betrayals do not shake their faith but that they learn to expect it, because that is their trial on this Earth.
Heavenly war is interested in them and their souls are at stake. Perhaps you, Saker, should take a lesson from the “covid-deniers” and put yourself on the line to expect the same rebuttals against you. You cannot be blamed for stating the Truth. Let the weak ones fall away but at least be identifiable so that you might pursue them and strengthen them.
Dear Saker:
Responding to your question, let me suggest you to “break the absess” (as you put it).
I was educated in a Jesuit College and was brought up a Catholic, yet I am painfully aware of the terrible situation in which the Catholic chrurch is as an institution. It is disgraceful.
However, I’m very interested in learning more about the Russian Orthodox Church and I am very intrigued by the political role of the Moscow Patriarchate.
I was educated in dialectic thinking, so I always enjoy your reasoning enormously (even, or better yet, precisely when I don’t share your point of view a hundred percent).
Reading an intelligent voice such as yours is always a great pleasure, and you have made me question, and, sometimes change my own points of view. I’ve found that reading your analysis (especially the ones you write for the Unz Review) always presents me with new ideas and an interesting debate with myself and my own point of view.
Thank you for your generosity.
How many countries has the US invaded since WWII. I am assuming you mean, gone in and shot up. If you mean bullied, manipulated or coersed by other means it would be all the above. Now of course the troops never came home after WWII and McArthur never really let them stand down and he really wanted to nuc China. As we see the result is the DMZ. South Korea can be counted as a economic success story if you over look the treasure the US has spent to maintain that image. I know they are not defecting Northward. So, expensive success. Of course this is the case with most of the countries the US subsidies through military intervention and distorted trade practices Japan, Germany, Britian. Egypt, Israel etc. The worst irony is, many of the countries the US subsidies run trade surpluses ie Japan South Korea Germany and Israel etc. The biggest complete failures of course are Vietnam, Middle East and now Afghanistan. All these are equal in lots of treasure spent, place shot up real good, US leaving in disgrace. The process is on going in the middle east. US Marines get blown out of Beruit, blown up in Kobar Towers, blown up driving down the road, dragged around dead in Mogadishu. So It is an on going parade of humiliation. Mo money for the clowns cause Satan needs a laugh. There are no successes in the middle east, none in Africa, the Phillipines are an ongoing struggle but Dutarte is at least consistent in his ability to offend the US Gov. So in conclusion extremely limited success at very high prices. I think it is like Ike worned US about. Fear the war machine. I have not even broached South America, fortunately we have not shot up much down there since Teddy and the Boys quit rough riding excluding drug interdiction which is most certainly direct military involvement, no one cares if they shoot up narcos. Now they make mini series about Pablo’s escapades of course these were wars that would never have happened without US drug markets. Who really runs Mexico any way? They have a Vietnam death toll every year in Mexico. We sure have used the aforementioned methods of cohesion to upset lots of apple carts down there.
Having taken a long sabbatical ( for no reason really ) from a consistent reading of the Saker I was pleased on my return to see a sane albeit almost lone voice on the progressive left (maybe a far too simplistic and not entirely accurate categorization my apologies ) question the highly infectious insanity that has afflicted some of the clearest thinkers on the opposing side of fascism masked as a viral ” pandemic “. When you have a usually clear thinker like B from MOA advocating for lockdowns and experimental ” vaccines ” to the elder statesman of intellectual thought and discourse Noam Chomsky in a recent interview with an equally deluded and scared ” witless ” David Barsamian croon elatedly in tandem over their shared joy of being ” vaccinated ” one has to wonder has the world truly gone mad ? Aside from the horrific unnecessary damage to the bodies and souls of people world wide with much more to come in the future, the financial losses are incalculable as anyone with a modicum of critical thinking would surely be able to comprehend. At this point the estimates are that approximately 40% of the US has resisted to being used as human guinea pigs for a rapacious pharmaceutical industry that has no soul. It truly pains to me read and hear one respected voice after another fail intellectually to this mass-corporate media induced hysteria. Thanks for what is always an enlightening read my dear Saker
“So what do I do? Do I break this abscess … or wait for better times?”
This is a famous dilemma faced by almost all of us, time and again. I find the following guidelines useful:
1. Gently does it!
2. Three way test of speech (or communication in general): Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it beneficial?
In a lighter vein, we never really know how long “the wait for better times” may turn out to be — whereas the present moment, with all its potential and even its dilemmas, is most definitely with us!
Tell the truth Saker. If you start shading it for “good” reasons, you will end up doing more harm than good. The Metropolitan probably is misinformed on the subject of vaccines and drugs. A vigorous debate on the issue well be better for everyone. Revelation 22:15 “But outside are dogs and sorcerers and whoremongers and murderers and idolaters” The original Greek for “sorcerers” is pharmakoi, i.e. drugmakers.
In the Bible in Acts, Peter preached the first gospel sermon on the day of Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Acts 2:37-42 says 3,000 were added that day. Those who were added were “believers” and they were added to the “church”, as Acts 5:11-14 makes clear. This was the first century.
Time for some logical reasoning:
1. The church of Jesus Christ was established in the first century.
2. The Russian Orthodox Church was established in 988 AD.
3. Therefore, the Russian Orthodox Church can’t be the church of Jesus Christ.
More logical reasoning:
1. The first members of the Lord’s church were those added on the day of Pentecost in the first century.
2. The first members of the Russian Orthodox Church was Cyril and Methodius in 988 AD. They obviously were not among those in the first century.
3. Therefore, the church they were the first members of could not have been the Lord’s church.
My argument is in reference to what many refer to as the church universal, not a local congregation. That is, the one body of believers that all the saved are members of.
Is it of importance who was first after AD, or which church in particular is “God’s church”?
In my opinion not. All churches claim they are appointed by God, but all show up to be sinners and hypocrites. There are multiple names of God and Jesus to choose from; Jehovah, Jahve, Joshua, Yahweh, Elohim, Adonai, Lord, m.m. so what and which to choose?
Remember there was 11 apostles spreading to the world and preaching his word. The 4 gospels are from 4 geographic locations.
Uniting through Jesus and not dividing through churches.
There actually could be just the one (God), and as the saying goes.
How many Queens does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Just one, and the whole world revolves around her.
For if it doesn’t, well that’s another story.
Time for some logical reasoning:
1. The church of Jesus Christ was established in the first century.
2. The Russian Orthodox Church was established in 988 AD.
3. Therefore, the Russian Orthodox Church can’t be the church of Jesus Christ.
And you seriously call that “logical”?? Wow, just wow!
If this is what passes for “logic” in 2021, no wonder the COVID-deniers sect is going great.
This also strongly suggest that I would be wasting my time explaining anything about the MP
Sad, but probably realistic :-(
Most modern people simple can’t think logically, so what is the point talking to them…..???
Saker Because we have all been there, 5 years old, believing in the 7 years old who said 2+2=10.
First years later we became 9 years old, arrogant despising these imbeciles on 5 and 7 years olds who were less age and experienced than us.
“He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
I remember often this sentence when I myself fall in the trap of being irritated at people, “who dont have my level” :-D.
I don’t think that it is quite advisable to write (post) such an article.
Russia is under persistent attacks and pressure, 3 x multi (-vectorial, -layered, -dimensional). In modern terms – a hybrid war +.
Without exaggeration, one could say that she defends not only herself, but also all of us, our fundamental right(s) to be free, to have a choice, an opportunity (at real extent, whatever it means), at least by giving different model of civilization and the World order.
It may sound as big talk, but there is the struggle to the death, in front of our eyes.
It is not for the first time (see e.g. the book Egor Yakovlev’s Voyna na unichtozhenie, Piter 2017), happily not so bloody as in the WWII.
President Putin and his team are very wise in counteracting these attempts (making nightmares on the other side).
Each of us, which respects and recognises their efforts, should give them any help, no matter how tiny it is. If not for them, then for us.
There are already many problems in Russia. Here, in Saker’s dilemma, the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) is enlisted as one of them (on the issue of vaccination as a sin). A Church, apart from being a spiritual entity, is inevitably an institution, with a strong bureaucratic component. So it is with Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), and the MP. Whatever the MP is close or far from ROC, it is a “telephone number” of ROC (to paraphrase Mr. Kissinger).
What is important, we may notice the synergy between ROC and Kremlin. President Putin seems to be a religious man (spiritual at least). Quite sure, he perfectly well knows the situation in the MP.
Now, one should be pragmatic and not to broaden flaws.
Let us just look at orthodox churches around: Ukraine, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Greece, and not to forget the Patriarchate at Constantinople.
They are all under pressure, subversive actions, splitting, unification (with Vatican). Look at the fate of Christians in Iraq, Syria etc.
A critical analysis of the MP could be a gift to those who really “care” of freedom and human rights.
As a technical (media) aspect of the issue is viewer statistics of The Saker – i.e. how is it influential in public sphere: 10,000 or 30,000 or . . . ? With the reuse of e.g. the Unz Review – some 50,000? (I don’t know the exact figures). In other words, what would be negative public effect or the benefit for adversaries of Russia?
It is not matter in quoted numbers but in the possibility that the mighty media machinery of US-EU to welcome and exploit not more than just one, essential claim (nevertheless true or not). Not to mention that they can simply get an idea for fakes against ROC, and hence Mr. Putin. Elections in Russia are literally tomorrow. And so on.
The current 3M War is only warming up and will last for years (maybe decades). Are we ready for it?
I sincerely hope that you do not take any of these fake vaccines. I enjoy reading your blog. It would be a great shame if you were to become incapacitated.
Your findings about Haiti r scary, they should raise all the hairs on our arms collective conscience.
Appearance and Reality r not the same.
The times we find r selves liv’g in r soul shattering.
I do not think we r waking up out of this… not here…not on earth…
But thank u 4 trying mr. Saker (we would all be less cognizant w out u)
Peace be on u and all
Of all of the comments the one thing I beg of you all is to not underestimate the power of Freemasonry which is inextricably tied into all things political and religious and that globally!
I remember reading in my youth about Russia under the Czar and how i wish I had the source of it but it went something like this that the print media was under their control because the only machine for printing belonged to them and they didn’t care to share it with anyone else.
It was and is a statement that has always remained with me and often comes up when I look at anything political and religious. The more one goes down the rabbit hole of this bizarre cult and how peculiarly they attach themselves to all things monarchical it raises many questions about what is going behind closed doors? Their reach in indeed global and its all so Zionistic to boot?
So imagine if the MP and the current Pope are in discussions behind closed doors? Please it’s just a question?
My 2 cents worth.
Cheers
“if you are thinking “oh no! The DEA is a respected branch of the US government, they would never do that“”
Another side comment: Tomorrow is the 37th anniversary of the AMIA bombing in Buenos Aires. One of the alleged promoters (instead of the insistence of the US and Israel about the Iranians) is former weapon dealer Monser Al Kassar, now under custody purging a 30-year sentence for dealing weapons and drugs with undercover DEA agents who posed as FARC guerilla fighters in Colombia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monzer_al-Kassar
https://projects.ncsu.edu/project/acontracorriente/fall_10/articles/Greenberg.pdf
That’s an operation made public. How many they used to finance black-ops and never made the daylight?
Its a boring piece with no conclusion, bla bla bla.
If we follow patterns and probability it may be Mossad who made the AMIA bombing blaming Hezbollah and Arabs, to convince independent Jewish overseas communities they need an overlord in Israel to protect them.
I dont see this general accepted theory mentioned in the article at all.
Why are the mountains not moving? All the faithful talkers need to explain.

And He *said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

I guess one can just google why did Jesus use hyperbole language? Beyond that Marcus Chapman there is this:
19 The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all;
20 he protects all his bones,
not one of them will be broken. Psalm 34:19-20
You will find in the book of Acts how this played out with the original apostles, how they had valley and mountain top experiences.
as for verse 20 which is a prophecy to Christ Himself the last mountain He moved was His resurrection from the dead.
I would say too Marcus Chapman that the real “most relevant verses” about moving and /or overcoming mountains is of course Hebrews 11, a small sampling to wet ones appetite:
By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise….etc, etc, etc right down to the modern age.
It is always best to tell the truth, imo.
But what is that about Zakharova? I am a huge fan of hers. Go ahead and burst my bubble, I guess.
Oh but I am a big fan of Zakharova too – that is one bubble I won’t burst (I hope!)
Sorry guys, I picked her out first in 2015 before anyone noticed her and I am willing to fight like a Pushkin.
“But while I have no respect for the attitude, behavior and intolerance of the COVID-deniers,”
Interesting. What exactly do you mean with COVID-deniers? People who really deny the existence of such virus/disease, or people who have different ideas about it than you do?
Which brings me to the latest information from Dr David Martin, a specialist on the patents concerning the SARS-Cov-2 virus and its gen-therapy ‘cures’, in this interview done by the german lawyer Reiner Fuellmich who prepares legal action against the perpetrators and their backers. No denying there, and nothing but proof of who patented the disease and when, as well as the quite toxic ‘cures’ that were not meant to be cures.
Cheers!
Assalaamu alekum dear saker
Although as a Muslim I have no business giving any suggestions whatsoever about orthodox Christian affairs. However since I love my Christian Orthodox brothers please allow me to stick my nose temporarily by providing a suggestion.
1-if Anglo Zionists and company hate and attack the Moscow patriarch then is there possibly a way to say nothing to English speaking world but at the same time express your thoughts to your fellow orthodox Christians in The Russian language at maybe a different avenue?
2-timing does not matter in this case I think since the Anglo Zionist and company have proven their permanent hatred for the Russian orthodox Christian church and adherents…
And God knows best.
May Allah bless you and protect you and increase your knowledge so we could continue benefiting from it. Amen
Salaam
Jay
Thank you for your comments about the MP. It clarifies a question I had.
I was shocked to read an article about Metropolitan Hilarion’s statement. It seemed totally out of keeping with my understanding of the church.
Which Met. Hilarion?! The New Martyr (whom the Sergianists falsely claim recongized their schism) or the ROCOR Metropolitan who lapsed in 2007 and (illegally!)succeeded Met Lavr in 2008?
The Saker
I know nothing about attitudes of the faithful in Russia for whom I also have deep respect. From your description I’d be and American version of the “little ones” though of ‘advanced age’. As such I’d say it would be better in the moment for us to know the truth so as to not be falsely influenced in an important health decision. The faithful still have their parish priest who hopefully understands the situation. It seems whenever religion gets mixed up with politics nothing good results. It’s kind of like Fauci has a medical degree but as a government official he acts as a politician, not a doctor.
I’ve got no idea what to do about the russophobe/woke/anti-Christian crowd. I have noticed those who stand up to them gain a lot of respect. Seems like a side issue to what’s important spiritually.
Thanks Saker. I think I see – I wasn’t specific about who I was speaking of. I should have known there was more than one Metropolitan Hilarion. The Metropolitan I was referring to was from: “Keep in mind that the person who made that statement is not just some lone, crazy, bishop but the Chairman of the Department for external Church relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Hilarion.”
Thanks for the correction. If there’s something still wrong with my statement please let me know. I’m here to learn.
I understand your dilemma about airing laundry regarding the MP, and as I am a priest under the EP (but not Greek) I can only wonder as to who has the dirtiest laundry? I can guess. I do side with the canonical church in Ukraine (under Met. Onuphry), but am pretty much alone in my diocese for this. I was certainly hoping to hear differently about the MP as I am always on the lookout for good news anywhere in the church and world!
Dear Father T.
It is a sad time when we ave to wonder who of us is the worst, is it not? Yet this is not unique in the history of the Church which, in one way or another, was always persecuted by the enemy of our human race.
The situation of the MP parishes in the Ukraine is truly awful, but the good news is that since the entire country is now falling apart, “Ze” and his gang are busy fighting for their survival which is now very much in doubt. As soon as the Ukraine is liberated from her Nazi rulers the Nazi-inspired schism will peter out: the nutcases will stick to the Papacy (or even go down the “Aryan Pagan” road) while the normal people will go back to the MP parishes.
And, maybe, just maybe, being viciously persecuted by theomachs will make the Sergianists reconsider their own persecutions against the True Church of Christ. Maybe not a mass movement, too much politics and egos involved, but maybe a new generation of bishops will arise in the MP who will show the same humility as the Russian Orthodox Church has shown (both the ROCOR and the MP) towards the Old Ritualists which were viciously persecuted by the ROC. Both the ROCOR and the MP ended up asking for forgiveness for these persecutions and both the ROCOR and the MP have publicly admitted that the Old Rite is as Orthodox as the New One.
Maybe a reason to hope?
Kindest regards
But aren’t the Ukrainians struggling to free themselves from the Muscovite church? The Muscovite church, as they are also known (aka MP), is not Orthodox, as you said, they are a Soviet-Stalinist “church”. So why is it a bad thing that Ukrainians are trying to create their own Orthodox (non-Stalinist) church? I think as times go by, more and more people will realize that Russia is not an Orthodox country and their so-called Orthodox churches are basically just museums run by the KGB/FSB.
Speaking of France, they highlighted which professions would have to go via compulsory vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna down here) and the only one for whom it will not be compulsory : police forces…
Meanwhile they reordered 2 bln Pfizer doses to Macron’s former clients when he was banker at Rotschilds)
No better time than the present to break the abscess open. Unless there is heresy and schism I am not aware of any reason to doubt that the Orthodox Church in Russia is anything less than the Orthodox Church in Russia. A part of the body of Christ, of which he is the head. I am not afraid of the truth, wherever it will lead. So, spill it out. Tell us why you believe this is NOT Christ’s Church in Russia.
To help you get your creative juices running, I will confess that I am one of the Covid deniers you so disrespect, And I believe I have very good reasons for what I believe. And the evidence keeps growing. But please, tell us about the MP.
