by a South African writer for the Saker Blog
What is the The ‘Why’ of this writing? Because, for the US, some of you may be the proverbial ‘white South Africans’ now.
We can assume that BLM, Antifa, and similar groupings, particularly in the US, are inventions by factions of the ruling class elites. Initially, it looked perhaps as simple as a garden variety color revolution, to divert attention from the collapsing economy and a possible unprecedented human catastrophe that will follow after the election. The initial plan involved shifting public attention to divisive racial issues, sometimes created for the cause specifically, like institutional racism. It put working people at each other’s throats while concealing the vicious class war that is behind the shield of a fake social justice movement. Now, seemingly, they are just breaking everything down and are intent on changing the United States into some kind of imagined utopia, that perhaps they cannot even define.
Well, it is almost as if these movements were trained in South Africa for this specific purpose. We have certainly seen the same and similar tactics over our past 25+ years under the ‘benevolent rule’ of a bunch of violent pretend Marxists.
A few, I Told You So’s from South Africa :
(No, this is not schadenfreude. I took the idea from one of Andre Vltchek’s (RIP) last writings:) Now West should sit on its backside, shut up and listen to “the others”
At first glance, it would seem that I’m shooting myself in the foot by posting this piece of Andre Vltchek where he analyses the white supremacy of the west. What he is describing, is exactly the same attitude that the west took when it finally killed South Africa with sanctions and supported low-level war over basically the whole of the south of the African continent. The ‘know better exceptional cadre’ did their harm, although internally in the country the crimes and unfairness of an apartheid regime were already being attended to. We already knew separate development would not make it as a policy. But the west knows best and they will sanction and finagle in the background. Perhaps you do not know of the finagling. Gold for Play was the deal with the neo-Chiefs. You give us gold, we can make you play in the new South Africa.
Of course, in South Africa, the white minority is “the others”, which is not exactly what Vltchek intended. That is what makes the situation different and is why so many do not get their heads wrapped around the South African issue.
You know who else ‘told you so’. Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons for America from Post-Apartheid South Africa, from Ilana Mercer told you so. But hey, you cannot possibly take lessons from a White South African author and a Jewess to boot, can you? (Yes, yes, I know the word Jewess causes upheaval. Female Jew sounds even worse).
I told you that the race issue is fake. Don’t you hear this around you? Institutional Racism, they say. Are you an institutional racist? Compared with South Africa during the apartheid era, you have no institutional racism. Sneaky underhanded hidden cruel racism yes, but not institutionalized as we had it, and now have it on steroids and written in the law, against the minority whites in South Africa.
I told you that the current ruling classes are fake Marxists. You only have to read Ramin Mazaheri on this site to understand what fake Marxists are. A sorry lot of BLM’s and co in the US are all fake Marxists, as is the sorry lot of ANC cadres that are pretending to lead South Africa but only leaves wrack and ruin in their wake.
I told you that they are killing whites for being white. What are your Antifas and BLM’s doing now? Are they not wanting you to apologize and shamed for simply being born white?
I told you that they are visiting the sins of the fathers upon the children. Reparations for slavery ringing any bells?
I told you that, in the case of South Africa specifically there was no genocide of black South Africans by Boers – ever – yet, the white South Africans are still portrayed as vicious racists. Like Vlchec says: listen to “the others”, and in South Africa, the whites are “the others”
I told you that they are capturing the state and stealing everything that is nailed down and not nailed down. The corollary with the US is the burning of good buildings and real estate and the creation of opportunity zones so that the ruling elites can pick up those areas for pennies. At least in the US, they want to pay a bit for this real estate. In South Africa, they want to take it without compensation.
I told you that there are racist laws on the books, created to suppress whites. BEE. The corollary in the US is taking a knee, subjecting yourself to a standard, set for you, perhaps not a sane standard, as a solidarity movement for the fake Marxists.
And the old canard, said in an accusatory tone: ‘If you are not happy, why don’t you just go back where you came from?’ I told you that no, the whites cannot just leave. Can you just up and leave your country now? Do you have the right of return to your initial European country? Do you even have ancestry left there? I’m sure not. The first pilgrims arrived in the US in 1620. The first rounding of the Cape of Storms or Cape of Good Hope and the first European to reach the Cape was the Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias in 1488. The first arrivals to build a victualing station at the Cape of Good Hope was in 1652. No, we are not Europeans, we are white Africans with a distinct and unique language and civilization.
I told you that the white supremacists are trying to ride on the situation to prove their own point. The corollary in the US is hiding their white supremacy under a moral equivalency, i.e., if they are so bad, we must be so good.
So without much more ado, let’s look at a few still hot incidents in South Africa. I have no doubt that you will soon see similes or corollaries come down the pike in your US neck of the woods.
There was a straw that broke the camel’s back of the white South African population. There is no more reasoning left, for this population. This straw was the brutal murder, and some are now calling it an assassination, of young farmer Brendin Horner in a farming area called Senekal. Some ‘guilty’ was found and brought to court but were they really the ‘guilty’?
We are not a people that protest out in the streets. It is not a thing for us. I told you in one of the previous pieces of a worker’s strike, which was the first mainly white worker’s strike that I saw in all my life. We don’t do these things: we discuss, we talk, we make recommendations, we write, we make speeches, we give proposals, we lobby government, but evidently pushed too far, we too will protest. So, when the first court case started, the farmers protested outside of the court. Some violence took place, a police vehicle was overturned, and eventually fire put to it. It was speeding toward peaceful (truly peaceful, not BLM style peaceful) protesting farmers, and dropping some kind of tear gas is what we understand. For this incident, some farmers were arrested and charged with terrorism. Can you believe it?. Mayhem is not our way – and we don’t burn things in protest as we know the incredible danger of fire in rural farming areas.
It soon became clear why a police vehicle was overturned. As I understand now detailed reporting implicates fully the local police and the police Chiefs in a local stock theft syndicate and Brendin Horner investigated this. Was it a ‘normal violent farm killing’, or was it an assassination? Some heads of police departments suddenly had plenty new livestock. The police and the stock thieves worked together in a livestock theft ring to, of course, steal their new livestock from whitey.
This story is very much abbreviated and much more complicated with counter-protests by the Economic Freedom Fighters but what is clear is that this is the straw that broke the camel’s back after + 25 years of ANC government and white minority suppression on every level of society.
The white community evidently is not allowed to protest and the farmers were soon brutally punished for their protests. The cry went out, in public, this is not a secret, we know who it is, we know which party he leads as he bellowed: Burn Them! Burn their lands! Soon the farms were burning in a terrible scorched earth policy. Sure, that was written off to a little municipal protest. Yes sure, why did you then not burn down the municipal building?
The towns so far hit by these acts of terrorism are Hoopstad, Hertzogville, Boshof, and Dealesville, food basket farming country, but the fear is that this might only be the beginning of an organized onslaught. An excess of 100,000 hectares of farmland has been destroyed at the time of this report, with millions in damage. But there were other victims. Some farmers, hearing the terrible cries of their animals and livestock as the animals were burning to death, and not able to withstand or face this, simply shot themselves.
Is there a corollary with the knee on the neck killing of George Floyd in the US? The corollary is that it was a straw that started the unrest in the US. This killing of Brendin Horner is the straw that broke any supportive feelings of the white minority community in South Africa toward Nelson Mandela’s ‘rainbow nation’.
During Covid lockdown, the government was just too kind and distributed food parcels. Evidently, the whites don’t eat, because no food parcel reached any white person really. The distribution trucks drove past even if the community stood waiting for them. If a whitey got hold of a distributed food parcel, this was grabbed out of their hands and basically confiscated. The whites were also physically blocked from reaching distribution points. Yes, food parcels were handed to black communities only. Was this only incompetence? I wish it was. What the smaller farmers then did, was to start a food supply protest and only supply the white community with fresh food. And now, after their farms are burnt, there is no food to protest with. The white community is now supporting the white community. What do you think is going to happen when hunger truly sets in among those who burnt the farms? Planting time is over. So, they arrested 17, but let me ask the question again. Were those the real perpetrators, or are the perpetrators the high government officials on State level that bellow: Burn them, Burn their lands?
Whites evidently don’t need to work or earn a wage these days. There is a staff reduction at a large company, Barloworld. (Covid related). Do you know who is being reduced? Whites. There is no secret here as it is a formal policy.
Willie Venter, deputy general secretary of the Metal & Engineering Industry at Solidarity said “We are extremely disappointed with the unfair way in which Barloworld handled the process. The fact that they have now laid off more workers on the basis of skin colour further aggravates the already malicious undertones of the consultation process,”
“We cannot allow the state’s ideologies to become the norm within the private sector. Race played a pertinent role in the retrenchment criteria of Barloworld, and that cannot be tolerated.”
This case is now in court and the judge admitted: “We already have systemic and institutionalized racism against the small white community in South Africa, with discrimination on the basis of skin color in each and every facet of South African society. Barloworld is taking the lead in this systemic racism by taking advantage of these institutional racist laws to implement retrenchments based on race – the white race that is. But why? What is the goal? Black Supremacy? Black Monopoly Capital? Hatred?”
The straw that broke the camel’s back is now beginning to take its toll. There is no way out now. Civil war or a new homeland. We are a peaceful people without a real hunger for war. The last time we went to war, we whipped British butt, until they put our women and children in concentration camps. More violence for the sake of violence will be flowing from these events in the short term. The Murder of a white person is actively encouraged by state sources, the more brutal, the better. Theft from a white person is encouraged by state sources. This is not a secret any longer.
Movements toward ethnic homelands are now attracting real attention and are strengthening. There are a few of these and perhaps they will now all coalesce.
I can hear the comments. Why not deal through the BRICS? Who do you think gets selected for BRICS delegates? Nobody gives a damn.
Afriforum has made what seems to be some progress in their #theworldmustknow outreach.
“The civil rights organization AfriForum has just received confirmation that the organization is now officially registered with the United Nations (UN) as a nongovernmental organization with special consultative status. This status offers AfriForum various opportunities and privileges to continue its work on a much larger scale in the UN’s conference rooms. The breakthrough was made despite the South African government working actively for many years to deprive AfriForum of these opportunities.”
I speak for my group but it must be understood that the other groups in South Africa are under similar stress. The fact that I don’t speak for them, does not mean that I do not recognize the overall situation of despair. When a state becomes the perpetrator and loses sight of its main purpose of protection and well-being of its citizens, those very self-same citizens become the target of such a state. In a fruitless belief that one is not the target of your own government, because you are not told why the country is suffering, it is easy (but also pathologically resentful) to seek and place blame on the whites and as it were, burn them, because conceptually they must be at fault. It is even worse when the State gives a false representation of why the country is suffering and in the case of South Africa, this ‘why’ question is answered by a small phrase: It Is That Whiteness!
Now seemingly the Chinese have decided to close down their wallet as the graft and corruption of State Officials of the neo-ruling class are open and in your face. State looting became even more evident during the procurement of the necessities for Covid. The looting was so evident, that those clever ministers and high government officials of the day are asking for amnesty for their looting, I kid you not. ‘Sorry for the stealing of governmental Covid resources which was for the people, we will never do it again’, of course, they do not return one penny, and decades of opportunity for rebuilding has been lost in South Africa. Is it any wonder that seemingly the Chinese have closed the purse?
But hey! The ruling South African government did not miss a beat and simply turned around and accepted a 4+billion dollar IMF loan. How very deeply corrupt can one actually be, pleading amnesty for wholesale government graft and corruption on one hand (even before charged) but quickly sell yourself to the IMF on the other hand, as long as the good times and the big money roll?.
What do you want me to say? ‘I told you so’ is getting so old.
Pretend Marxist Neo-Chiefs Practice Destructive Capitalism, or
Now that the money bag mechanisms of the dead empire of the west are again rewarding those that are killing and targeting their own people, do you really think I’m saying “I told you so” in a manner of schadenfreude? No, but it would be good if you recognize that we have a joint enemy. (But please please, do not send Pompeo to help, or anyone else really! The IMF was enough. We will be enjoying further deprivations resulting from the west’s Great Reset Plan. But, if you happen to have a country lying empty somewhere, let us know.)
This link has the story and a book review on sheer graft. What makes it sad, is that this graft even breaks apart the natural resources of a once very beautiful country.
William Saunderson-Meyer writes on a new book by Rehana Rossouw on David Mabuza’s Mpumalanga
Usually, at the end of an article about South Africa, I try to find something good: a piece of music, a local color story, a description of culture .. just something upbeat because the story invariably is sad. Sorry to disappoint this time. Today I leave you with the hashtag, #theworldmustknow, and with a young King Protea. This one will grow up and open up to be as big as a dinner plate.
Protea cynaroides, the king protea, is a flowering plant. It is a distinctive member of Protea, having the largest flower head in the genus. The species is also known as giant protea, honeypot, or king sugar bush. It is widely distributed in the southwestern and southern parts of South Africa in the fynbos region.
I believe julias is an asset of western intelligence by the way. He will be leading a colour revolution at some point.
Janee swaer, Julius dearest is definitely an asset of western intelligence, but his job is not colour revolution, but rather African Union. Julius knows that Blacks are not native to South Africa so is always friendly with his Nigerian brothers and all those other assorted ones from closer to the equator flooding South Africa.
Julius doesn’t need to do a colour revolution because the ANC is already doing such an excellent job under direction of western intelligence. The ANC is mixing up and messing up South Africa quite nicely, just like what is happening in the States and Europe. Not that the ANC actually needed any help with regards to the messing up part. So Western Intelligence agencies want the ANC to rule forever in South Africa.
Apart from the usual “Whites arrived into an uninhabited land” comments below, I was surprised to read that the Xhosa were the original inhabitants of Cape Town, no end to the fake news out there.
Yes, the whites of France, US and UK have demanded truck and trainloads of reparations in 1919, in versailles.
The Jews have demanded loads of reparations from the german government (and so german people) blaming the sons instead of the fathers.
So the persecuted jews are right but the ultra persecuted south african blacks are not?
The Armenians apparently failed (not miserably I presume)) to achieve that.
On the other hand, the winners of World War II were smart enough NOT to include any reparations on paper and ink… (the afrikaners did ink their racism in law and paper).
Quite to the contrary, Americans, Brits, French and russians simply took by sheer force and flat stealing German plants by the hundreds, blueprints of technology products, machinery and documents by the thousands, forced or coopted German scientists regardless of being Nazi or not and
took them home to their countries for best fruition. The same with nazi intelligence officers, who became founders and good servants of US criminal three letter agencies.
In fact it would be more than a miracle if Pretoria s black people forever adopt the jesus christ mandate ‘show the other cheek’ … Would it be the case for Pretoria ‘s whites to eternally THANK Nelson Mandela’s leadership
who convinced the pariahs to coexist and pardon them instead of cutting their throats?
A good plan in hand, is worthless once the military get its due.
i’m glad the author has the courage to address this issue. Thank you.
Current racist laws in the USA originated with the 1964 civil rights act which started the racial quota system. By the way, more Republicans voted for the 1964 civil rights act than Democrats. So how does it work. You have a son or grandson (white) who wants a job at, for example, the local fire department. He studies hard, takes the civil service exam and gets the highest score (95%). He should get the job. Right? No, you are wrong!! A minority (ie non-white) got an 89%, but because he in non-white he gets 10% added to his score. 89% + 10% equals 99%. Since 99% is higher than 95% the non-white gets the job at the local fire department. This is how “equal opportunity” works over and over again here in the good old USA. A similar such thing goes on whether you are applying for college, trying to get a McDonald’s franchise, or trying to get a job at Walmart.
BLM wants whites to pay reparations for slavery. I guess they never heard of the American Civil War. My great grandfather (white) fought for the North (101st Ohio regiment) in order to end slavery. I’m sure he is rolling over in his grave because of the way his descendants are discriminated against today.
The situation in South Africa is very sad indeed. What we have now is reverse racism, which is destroying the country.
When the first Boers came to south Africa in the late 17th century, they settled in regions which were devoid of people. They introduced farming, which in Africa was basically unknown, with Africans living from hunting and from fruits/vegetables that grew on their own. Once they started food production, they attracted attention of Africans living in the north, with the result that you had cases of Africans killing Africans, all for the sake of living in south Africa. The famous Zulu’s are not natives of South Africa, originating in the north. Boer food production actually increased the African population, while the white population certainly brought the country into the 20th century. Yes, the country did have apartheid. However, most people don’t know that apartheid was a copy of the segregation existing in the southern states of the USA.
The 20th century saw Nelson Mandela and political power being handed over to the black majority. It is then that reverse racism showed it’s head, with persecution and murders of white farmers. I have read contradictory data on the actual number of murders, and I will not go into that. The point is that Africans bitterly resented the amount of agricultural land owned by whites and their standard of living, although not all white farmers were wealthy. Land appropriation began, one way or another, and this lead to the reincarnation of the situation in Zimbabwe, the former Rhodesia. The appropriated farms were mismanaged by Africans, to put it mildly. Zimbabwe became a food importing country. The same thing is happening with South Africa, the once food exporting country slowly becoming a food importing one.
What the future of South Africa is going to be, remains to be seen. Many whites have emigrated, some even coming to Russia. One can only hope that the social and ethnic situation in South Africa will stabilize. However, I have my doubts it will.
Black peoples migrated South from Central Africa and through a process of conquest and colonization came to dominate Southern Africa.
I can take you now to Lesotho and show you the most beautiful bushmen paintings. What I can’t show you is any bushmen in that area as they were exterminated by the Central African colonisers.
Even Mbeki called the Bushmen “ the first people”
reverse racism?
how is that different from racism?
if not, why the qualifier?
Because racism is, was, a scientific theory proposed by a cousin of Darwin first published in the USA.
What do you think the proposal was? Blacks superior?
So , yes, reverse racism makes perfect sense.
Racism as a scientific theory has been debunked time and time again. There is no biological basis for “race”. We are all homos sapiens with slightly varying phenotypes. Yes, we do sometimes get a little surprised when we see someone that looks different. But that passes.
Racism as an attitude and worldview is alive and well. Simply put, do you believe in race? Then you are practicing racism.
There is no reason to believe in race from an individual standpoint; it is a false belief imposed on you by your rulers, who want to keep you arbitrarily divided from your “black”, “brown” and “white” brothers and sisters.
And yes, this makes most Western liberals racist (who uncritically subscribe to BLM etc as dogma).
They used to have a lot of jews in SA – I know a few (wealthy ones) of them who moved to JUSA a couple of decades ago.
From their stories I think jews played a similar role they play currently in JUSA in turning everyone against everyone else (apart from jews of course). They profit from the situation they create before they sell everything and move to another victims (while pretending to be victims of course -as all psychopaths and psychopathic ‘cultures’ do)
That is the story all over the world. They start the trouble, maybe with very noble intentions!. Then things happen and they get caught in their own politics, that they were warned about, and they leave.
That is what has happened all over the world, on many occasions, and is still going on today.!
So in SA, some of the most prominent “freedom” fighters, lawyers and human rights activists were/are Jews. When the country drowns in the mud, there will be none of them left!
It will be left to the left overs to rake the hot coals out of the fire, or perish in the inferno.
Nathan Kirsh and Nicky Oppenheimer come to mind.

There are Jewish billionaires all over the world. They are a cabal. They help each other, and hinder just about everyone else.
Your characterisation of Jews in general as being part of a psychopathic culture is highly problematic, what being antisemitic and all. And the claim that Jews in particular are turning everyone against everyone else, sounds like an elaborate conspiracy theory. Which is interesting given that we know that there are companies such as Cambridge Analytica that fomented division all over the world that had nothing to do with Jews. The story all over the world is people exploiting each other.
“..we know that there are companies such as Cambridge Analytica that fomented division all over the world that had nothing to do with Jews.”

Cambridge Analytica “stole” data from facebook, which is owned by a Jew. They did this with help from Israeli spies and an Israeli company.
Nothing to do with Jews?
I dare say I will raise my hasbara flag here.
Everything you’ve written here is untrue! The first whites to visit the Cape of Good Hope were the Portuguese. They kept records of their interactions with the locals which they would get refreshments from,on their way to India or whatever next destination. The two groups they interacted with were the Xhosa (yes the Xhosa were in the Cape of good hope for more than a few centuries even before the Portuguese arrived) and the Khoi~Khoi.
They learned both languages in order to establish diplomatic relations with both people’s. They observed that these people were already farmers, agriculturalists living in prosperity. They then introduced certain crops(wheat, maize) which these locals could grow for them in order to resupply them on the way to the next destination. They would not have done this if they didn’t think that the locals weren’t competant farmers. This was already in 1498A D as stated in the article above, long before the arrival of the Dutch (from whom the Afrikaaner descend) in 1652AD.
These groups,San,Khoi,Xhosa,Zulu etc, were living there relative peace with one another. These “blacks” from central Africa, crossed the Limpopo river even before the birth of Christ, and we’re already trading with the Chinese by 500AD,as shown by archeological sites such as Mapungubwe, located in the province of Limpopo. They didn’t conquer anyone, the land was actually open when these blacks arrived there more than 2000 years ago.
Not to say that there were no KhoiSan on the land, but the khoiSan lived a nomadic hunter gatherer lifestyle, while the Bantu were farmers, miners and traders. The nature of farmer/miner/trader lifestyle requires permanent settlement and therefore land possession/ownership.As opposed to nomadic hunter gatherer lifestyle which has no concept of settlement, possession and ownership of land. Which is why they could live in relative peace, even inter~marrying and entering into alliances. The key phrase is “relative peace”,after all,the Bantu even faught amongst themselves from time to time,so why wouldn’t that happen with others?
As for who wiped out the San and Khoi,it was in fact the Cape colonial government which issued lisences for white settlers to hunt San/Bushmen like animals, decimating that population and enslaving the rest. That is in fact where the “Coloured”(mixed race) community comes from in SA,white masters visiting their black slave girls in the night. The last lisence was in fact issued in 1936AD,just before WW2.
Part of the reason for for such high racial tensions in that country is the fact that the apartheid regime went to great lengths, visa ‘ve the Bantu education act of 1954,to hide the “sins of the fathers”,by teaching a false history to the white population and making sure that the black population was not aware of their own history. The black government, come 1994,failed to correct this, preferring to teach a watered down history and generally not wanting to talk about “past wounds” in the interest reconciliation. How foolish and idealistic they are..
Isn’t this “white washing” of history the same as what the west is now trying to do with the results of WW2? Are they not trying to rewrite that history to make it look as if Russia played no role in the victory against the Nazis? In fact, didn’t they play the biggest role..?But because most westerners, and the rest of the world for that matter are ignorant of these facts, today we allow this mafia to lead us down the path of destruction. Today the western world is Not “agreement capable”,to quote Putin. It’s because they were taught that they were the victors of WW2,and they are the winners of the cold war.As a direct result, there is a prevailing attitude of entitlement and a false confidence,an arrogance. These are the dangers of falsifying history.
And what about South Africa? As a direct result of the falsification of history, you have a white minority which believe’s that they are falsely accused and are sitting with an attitude of entitlement & arrogance, not realizing just how grotesque was their fathers’ behaviors over the last 4 centuries and the lasting impact it has had to this very day.Today this minority is Not “agreement capable”,that is why they are all over the internet talking about the coming civil war in S A between blacks and whites. Perhaps they should ask the Syrians,Libyans,Iraqi’s and Afghanis what war does to a country. When you invite the devil(war) for dinner, don’t be surprised to find that the stew has been poisoned..
Good on you T.M for writing that. I just don’t seem to have the energy to debunk tripe by going back to gather all the facts. You have presented a very nice summary of ancient Africa.
Look, I am not going to argue about this, as this is not what I actually wrote about. I will just add a few things. If you re-invent history, there are always pieces that do not fit. Like, show me one Portugese style structure in the Cape …
You have taken the Portugese colonial history of the West Coast of Africa and neatly placed it in the Cape of South Africa. You need to go hit up your history books again, real ones this time. You see, once one rewrites history, you need to rewrite it for all the nations. In this case English, Portugese, Dutch and French, Indian and those who came as slaves and slavery was abolished already in 1800’s. It is almost an impossible task to come up with a whole story.
Let’s look only at the Portugese colonialization where you have taken their history from the West of Africa, and neatly put it in the Cape. They never even built or created any serious trading station, because they were after copper and metals. So, you do not understand and have not read what they colonization aims were even. On the Western Coast at Cape Blanco, Sierra Leone and Elmina they built forts. It is a damn long way away from South Africa. In the Kongo (yes, with a K), they allied with the King and eventually established sugar plantations – You see, the Portugese history of colonization (and they were reasonable colonizers as styles of colonization goes, trying to treaty instead of control) took place already in the 1490s and the sugar plantations were on the islands of São Tomé and Principé. T .
The lovely story about the Portugese and maize can clearly not be documented and every agricultural history book says so. What they do say, is that maize entered Africa from Mexico to the tropical regions of Africa – not the southern regions.
Then, with the sweet story of the sweet tribes growing maize you’ve forgotten where maize actually grows and what climate it needs.
And then, you’ve forgotten the Great Trek, the dates and the reason why the Dutch descendants left the Cape. They left because of English take-over and law. That is no secret. And then you can hit the history books, find out where they went, the wars around the Great Fish River and the Zulu wars. And what you should never forget, is that it was these people that fought the first war against colonialism, i.e., against the English colonists.
At the end of the day, the English won, but they were routed on the battle field. Their de facto rules were implemented de jure by the apartheid government from 1948 onwards and started to be dismantled late in the 1980’s already. So, roughly, 40 years of separate development. Let’s just quickly put apartheid in context. It means separate development and as a policy it was misguided and did not work and caused harm in the implementation of it. It was a damn fool idea, that H F Verwoerd dreamt up with his buddies in Holland where he went to University – with brutal implementation. It was very romantically written, with the vision of two trees, developing on two sides of a stream, separate development but branches intermingling in trade.
So, your agricultural history does not fit, your history of style and design does not fit, your history of who traded for what commodity does not fit, your story of where the trade took place does not fit, your story of ‘peaceful rural tribes’ is hogwash – ever heard of the continual cattle raids?. Your dates do not fit. Your story is revisionist history that is shallow and falls apart at first glance. One just needs to go and read all the history books and unfortunately there were few tribes that could read and write. Theirs was an oral history and it seems as if they are continuing the tradition by including other stories from other people now to try and make their own history whole, by painting every white as a brutal colonist.
So where did I learn the Portugese side of the story? We were kicked of to boarding school, and our school was the one that the kids of high government Portugese officials out of Mozambique, then Lourenzo Marques attended. So, we had it pretty much first hand from these kids that had to study their own history in addition to history in our school.
I’m the wrong person to tell revisionist history to so try someone else.
Stop your revisionism. The Portuguese traded all the way to India. How did they resupply on such a long journey of months back then? West coast sure is far from the south coast of Africa, which sure is far from the east coast. Yet, the Portuguese built Fort Jesus in old town Mombasa in east africa in the late 1590’s. How did they get there without passing south Africa? How did they get the materials to built their fortresses? Do you see how quickly your story unravels. All you are doing is throwing some points in here and not even tieng a cohesive story to try and negate the other. How is what you have written negating what T.M or I have written? So, some Dutch man dreamed up how it should be and viola, it was so. What has reading and writing got to do with trading? Africans traded even with the Chinese. Forget reading and writing, how did the trading partners communicate seeing all the different languages involved? That would be an even larger point in supporting revisionism don’t you think? Africans have always had strong oral traditions including folklore and folktales. Alex Haley of Roots demonstrate this very clearly. How come we have no tales of that which you speak? Yet we have tales of the Zulu displacing the Shona and Ndembele to present day Zimbabwe, as an example? No massive graves of genocide or the animals devoured them? Why don’t you give us the timeline of the Boer vs British war? Might it reveal something?
Let me start by saying my comment was actually written as a reply to one of the other comments written by “Disappointed”. That’s why I didn’t go into a lot more detail,it was just counter the tripe which he/she wrote. But I’m glad it peaked your interest because some of it can also apply to your article..
I never said the Portuguese settled in South Africa,I said, they “resupplied” on their way to the next destination. I remember correctly, you yourself wrote the same thing. So this thing about Portuguese structures is irrelevant.
I said there was RELATIVE peace between the tribes:there was inter-marrying and alliance structures between KhoiSan and Xhosa peoples. Yes occasionally there was conflict also between these groups, just as there was occasional conflict between the Xhosa and other Bantu groups. The point I was making here is that there was normal interactions between these groups.
As neighbours, sometimes we’ll laugh, sometimes we”ll argue, this is part of any normal interaction between people living next to each other. Good neighbors however will laugh more often than they argue. These are the type of relations that existed between the Xhosa and KhoiSan. Go any where in the world,at any point in history and you’ll find this kind of pattern between peoples living next to each other. This is a far cry from this genocidal scenario that some people having trying to project between these two peoples. This was part of apartheid propaganda designed to divide KhoiSan descendants(coloureds) from from the other blacks, while at the same time absolving the white population from the genocidal sins of their fathers against the KhoiSan.
The revision of history was thoroughly done by the apartheid government in order to justify the policy of apartheid to white South Africans as well as to lay the ground work for justification of future oppressive and unjust actions. Alot of people in SA are still operating based on that false history today, hence the high tensions.
I would love nothing more that to write a well researched, well written/argued essay with sources sighted, to tackle in detail all of the historical issues, their impacts on the present and future.Including possible solutions and what South Africa’s place is in the world within the context of world history. The comments section can hardly this topic annually justice. I actually looked for a feature where one can submit such an essay or apply to, on the site,I couldn’t find one. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction…
In the US of A the Red Indians, now called the First Nation, believe that anyone with Red Indian blood in them qualifies as First Nation. However, anyone with Black blood in them is Black. So there can be no First Nation citizens who are Black.
Similarly in South Africa, the bulk of the Coloureds are of Hottentot Khoisan origins and orientated, and live in the Cape, few are actually of Black / White heritage. Those who mingled with the Blacks are Black, the further away from Cape Town you go the more prevalent this becomes . So even though the Xhosa have the most Khoisan admixture to them of all the Black tribes, as evidenced by all the clicks in their language, they are still considered settlers in Southern Africa because they are Black.
All the Black tribes come from further North, they learned their circumcision and farming from the Egyptians. The first recorded circumcision is on murals in the pyramids. Maize came to West Africa from the Americas, it was brought to Africa by Blacks on trading missions across the Atlantic. The Spanish who discovered the “America’s” found some Blacks there already.
According to the records, District 6 in Cape Town was 3% Black when it was shutdown under the Group Areas Act. Furthermore, the first prisoners housed on Robben Island were Coloured (Hottentot Khoisan), after that it was Malay prisoners, and only like 150 years after 1652 was the first Black prisoner incarcerated on Robben Island. Therefore Xhosas are not native to Cape Town.
Please supply some links supporting your belief that “the Xhosa were in the Cape of good hope for more than a few centuries even before the Portuguese arrived” as I have never seen this stated before.
Join the club. $outh Africa and EU$A are in the same boat: $atrapies of a global Ango Zionazi Capitalist hegemony. Only a few countries seem to have succeeded in sailing independent courses, all with a Socialist background and good Leadership. Russia had a Marxist past, and Putin is an Orthodox Christian who somehow managed to reconcile the influence of his Christian Orthodox Mother and his Materialist Communist father. China and Cuba are still basically Communist. Iran’s progress, according to Ramin Mazaheri, is due to its adoption of Islamic Communism. Syria has Socialism with traditional Arab characteristics. Hezb’Allah has a strong Social Welfare program in the Arab tradition of compassion and scholarship, the same tradition that built Hospitals, Libraries and Universities in the Middle East when Europe was barbarously uncouth.
The enemy is not to be measured by the reading of a Tintometer on his skin; the enemy is measured by the reading of digits on his bank account.
In the 1980s when we young idealists were boycotting our homeland $outh Africa we should have known it was too easy — because the MSM joined us by denigrating the Afrikaner regime, because Anglo Zionazi Capitalists joined us by starting a run on the Rand (as the author reminds us), because university students joined us by pranking against the Springboks. We were unawared that the AZC and the ANC had already made a deal: AZC will abandon Apartheid in return for ANC giving up on Communism.
BBC interviewer: “Mr.Greenberg, will $outh Africa now become a Communist state?”
Daniel (Dennis) Greenberg: “I wish it would; but I fear it will remain Capitalist”.
That was when $outh Africa took the wrong path, the path that leads AZC regimes to stir up Identity Politics as a cover for economic exploitation of the masses.
The ANC has neither the vision nor the intellectual capital, nor even the desire to create a better future for all. The task is simply beyond them. All they are interested in is the popular vote so that they can keep their hands on the levers of power for the next five years so that the tenders keep flowing.
But can you really blame them? This is how this system of Westminster style parliamentary democracy works. It is a room full of babbling shouting arguing accusing insulting virtue-signaling self righteous party-at-any-cost professional liars and self-promoters that are insecure financially and thus ripe for exploitation.
The intergenerational planning and bold vision to inspire this nation and take it back to the pinnacle of greatness it stood in for one brief flickering moment in 1990 can never be born in an environment such as parliament or the NEC of the ANC. Because they are not even aware that this nation needs and wants something to believe in.
They have looked at the ‘civilised’ countries of the West and imitate them well as they waffle on about inconsequential things hoping to please the ‘markets’ and the voters and the pollsters and the instruments of the banking cartels like the ratings agencies and their donors of course. Mostly their donors.
Do our political class understand the role neoliberal economics,’free trade’ and the loss of of an industrial base have and are playing in the material subjugation and economic exploitation of many poor countries?
Do they understand how these policies have severely impacted ndermined the sovereignty, authority and power of nations?
Do they appreciate that economic systems are just useful insofar as they contributes to the development of the nation and cannot be an end in themselves?
I don’t think they ever look deeper than what prevailing views dictate, even though the disastrous human suffering all around us as a result of these views and policies is never seen as evidence of their failure. It’s just more of the same.
But then …
Can you really blame them? That is how countries are set up under the western regime; the ANC know they can’t really change anything even if they wanted to because a long term strategy might cost them an election so that is what they have to focus on. Even if the ANC win there is no guarantee a particular individual will still be there due to the faction war so whoever is here for this five year term might as well steal as much as they can because they might not be here for long.
They lack visionary planning and courage to create the type of government that is structured to serve the the greatest need of the greatest number of its people, and to be honest, that could only have been done in 1994 when the votes were not an issue. Today they are a shadow of that organisation.
For us now, look at all the other ex-colonies that are still folllowing the rules of Europe or even Europe itself? Looting and burning in the streets of Big City USA. These are socities in decline, they are disintegrating from the weight of their own inner contradictions. Whether it’s BLM in America or the Yellow Vests in France, the handling of COVID in the west as opposed to China, western governments have been shown to be greedy warmongers who care nothing for their own people but who will do anything for Israel. And our political class still wants to follow their example. It’s madness.
South Africa is careering down the road as a failed state. The desire of government to control and mix into even the tiniest affair is insatiable. And they do so with aplomb and a total lack of intelligence. Life is becoming very testing having to comply with idiotic rules, and facing a system, where just paying for your car license, you have to prove identity and residence. That after an hour long wait at times at the post office or the licensing department. All staffed almost exclusively with blacks, some very good, but by far the majority are not interested, slow and sullen. That is on the days when the power is not out, the printer not run out of ink or one of another 20 possible reasons why nothing can get done.
The police is by and large corrupt and can be bought for a cold drink or more. The laws that are being enforced are ones that generate revenue, in places where there is little happening apart from that. Serious crimes are neglected, botched or brushed off. Females reporting rape are at risk at getting a repeat performance at the police station. That does not normally happen, but it is a risk that is real.
People are reluctant to get the police involved, as they can be as bad as the criminals, and often are in cahoots with them. There is only one reason that crime is so prevalent, and that is that the police is batting for the wrong side, in many, many cases.
And yet, what is descending on the world ito of control, checks and balances is going to be unlikely to work here, to the same degree. That is a positive. The weather is glorious, that is a positive, the scenery is unbelievable and the animal life is glorious! If I am holed down by the elite, I think it is not generally a bad place to live, it can be quite exiting at times, but with a bit of savvy and good luck, I might make it to the end of the line, in one piece!
I am staying, simply because the deterioration in other places is simply too swift and to unpredictable at the moment.
Race baiting in South Africa has only one purpose in mind and that is to distract attention from the ANC running the country into the ground.
When the ANC took over South Africa was the powerhouse of Africa. After 26 years of cronyism, corruption, maladministration and outright looting and theft the economy has been downgraded to junk by all three rating agencies (S&P, Moody’s, Fitch).
Even Malema had to admit that South Africa has become a typical bankrupt post-colonial state.
The good thing about living here in SA is that you have a first hand view of how Africa became in Trump’s words became a shithole. It is not as the result of colonialism but the poor administration of the liberated countries by the liberation movements that came to power as seen in SA.
Disappointed? Me too. Once again I am reminded of a prophesy from the 1960s: “L’Afrique Noire est Mal Placee”. The author compared the Africa of his “present times” (ie, 1960) with that of China: Africa had hardly been touched by WW2, whereas postwar China had been devastated. Then he compared their civil society: Liberated Africa tended to model society on Colonialist and Capitalist Western Europe, especially France and Britain. Liberated China modeled itself on Communist Russia, especially the USSR. From this comparison, a downward trajectory was predicted for Africa, and an upward trajectory for China — which is what we see in our own “present times”.
Of course the author did not foresee the deliberate destruction of socialist Libya and independent Sudan by the “irresistible armed might” of our present neo-colonial entity, the EU$A. But South Africa, with its “black” Bantu politicians still subservient to Anglo American Company interests after independence (in fact, even more subservient than the “white” Afrikaner Nationalist regime used to be) is a good example of downward trajectory for countries which continue to model their society on a Colonialist Capitalist model after Liberation. (The U$A currently seems to be another example of downward trajectory for a liberated country which cannot change its former Colonialist Capitalist mindset).
To get an idea how this all happened, read James Sanders, The Rise and Fall of South African intelligence, and Chikane Things that Could not be Said.
One important statement I take true exception to:
“I told you that the current ruling classes are fake Marxists. You only have to read Ramin Mazaheri on this site to understand what fake Marxists are. A sorry lot of BLM’s and co in the US are all fake Marxists, as is the sorry lot of ANC cadres that are pretending to lead South Africa but only leaves wrack and ruin in their wake.”
This thing going on in the US and in SA is not a Marxist set-up: It is Trotzkyism.
Trotzky’s students have turned to the doctrine of “creative destruction” now that they see their other schemes were not all that successful. Then “barber-que” the gettings in the embers.
And this was what they hoped to acheive along the periferies of China too.
After 2 thousands years in exile, the Jews proudly returned to their ancestral land in Israel . European racist colonialists in South Africa ,are at liberty to go back to Europe like any other person who is proud of their ancestral land would do .Putin has reserved plenty of land in Russia for Whites in RSA who wish to return to Europe. Any European racist colonialist who opt to stay in RSA , must understand that the colonial project is over, hence they are not wanted nor were they ever invited in Africa.
to brutus
you said: …they are not wanted nor were they ever invited in Africa.
1.- that is quite a racist statement.
2.- when they first came there, bantu Populations were not there (SA it is not their ancestral Land) so, they where first to get the land. Being exact only the bushmen were natives to the land. If the whithe Africans have to go, the same applies to all non bushmen Black africans (who also weren’t invited)
3.- regarding color of skin, what is happeing in SA happened in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) if you substitute goverment and enterprises managers with People that are illiterate, corrupt and greedy… well we all know what happens.
4.- unfortunately what will happen is that all whites (that could) will left the country and at some point those who do not will Fight Back. Because they would have nothing to lose. It will be a bitter fight to the end, win or die type.
5.- about the first line of your comment, I wil not say a word.
I tire of lies. Bantu migration in Africa started as far back as 2,000 BC which is over 4,000 years ago. All African tribes whether Bushmen, Bantu, Nilote or Cushite, were small in number before farming during the hunting and gathering time/period. The Bantu were the first to start farming and thus expanded their tribes due to abundance of food. And the migration was not due to overcrowding as the land was still very plentiful. Just like other ‘races’ did not move around due to overcrowding in the earlier centuries. Africa was also thickly inhabited by wildlife to the point that even certain places were cleared for human habitation as recently as the 70’s and 80’s by pushing the wildlife to reserves. Still, as populated as Africa is now, we still have wildlife living in close proximity to humans. Africa was heavily wildlife populated. The Zulu, the Shona, the Ndebele and many more inhabited south Africa together with the San, khoikhoi and others ——– (collectively called bushmen). There was heavy intermingling and inter marrying between all these groups. The Bush men haplotype L0 is found in nearly all bantu groups. That is what makes Africa to be the most genetically diverse place on all the earth. Inter marrying and inter mingling. Stop revisionism and instead tackle global injustice systems that propagate might makes right.
@Ilusionist
The word “Bantu” means human beings, Africana before conquest by Europeans knew of only one race, the “human race”. Africans practice(d) tribalism, serfdom, nepotism, war of conquest,
& all those vile things that are inherent to human psyche. Racism is glorified tribalism. In RSA the British tribesmen regarded themselves superior to all other tribes. The Boer tribe resented it bitterly, o the point of war which unfortunately was won by the Brits The Boers in turn vented their frustration on Africans , who in turn victimized the next available weaklings. The term Black acts as an ego-boost to some Europeans who regard themselves as whites ( euphemism for non-entities).
The concept of indigenous people, has many meanings which seem to be tied to the conditioning of the observer & which mode of time (cyclic/linear) prevalent in their mind at the point of contact. What happened to the San people is ethnic cleansing.. It is a shameful illustration of the perverse nature of human psyche.
The Rock paintings are found all over the world & their origins are unknown. Different traditions treat them differently. Some mystics consider them to be part of a very ancient practice of information dissemination / exchange used by certain rare men of knowledge.
The real challenge that faces man is that he has to outgrow his psyche which has been stagnating for hundred thousand years. Unfortunately this is a task for the individual entity not ‘herd mentality’
How much genetic makeup does US whites have of native red Indians? Genocide does not transfer genetic material to the perpetrator. Inter marrying does. Why do Bantu have Bushmen genetic makeup? Some genocide it must have been. Do Germans have Jewish genes? Do Australians have aboriginal genes? And what exactly were they genociding the bushmen for? Food was plenty from hunting and gathering. The only reason there were small numbers prior to farming was the logistics of how to get the food home. That caused a nomadic way of life by following after their prey. How do you carry your kill to your 10 children? Can you carry for 2? The Bushmen to this day do not farm. How did they form great numbers? Most Nilotes and Cushites also did not farm and thus mostly remained in their original locations by and large I.e. they never migrated much ( mostly inhabiting eastern and northern Africa for millennia) and never expanded/increased in numbers much. Why would it be different for the Bushmen that they could inhabit large areas without farming?
Later, when African tribes grew large, mostly Bantu, and had conflict with one another, the weaker tribe simply just moved. The land has always been large enough. This constant movement and interbreeding is what made the diverse genetic makeup. Otherwise, onus is on you to explain how the genetic makeup is so diverse. So, stop your innuendo of genocide. Africans are not saints but you don’t have to conjure up fakery to demonize. Humans have always been in conflict with each other. Even to family level forget tribal level. Most families had largely learned to live peacefully with each other. Tribes lived side by side with expected skirmishes that did not amount to much —- Cattle rustlings mostly. Divorces are a very new phenomenon even in the west. Civilisation is the art of living harmoniously. We claim more enlightenment and more civilisation and more technological superiority while becoming more barbaric. The single greatest source of all human evil is selfishness. From there stems all other vices —- love of money and power for control of the masses follows from there, the hypocrisy stems from there, the injustices, the killings, the plunder, you name it. It is all sourced from trying to take from the other for ourselves.
We can choose to live a higher conscious life or not. Clearly we have chosen not. There is no need to conjure up fake vices where none exists. We humans are all capable of evil. It doesn’t matter the group. The Chinese civilisation has proven to not be inclined to subjugation and slavery by and large and that is why they turned inwards back then. That does not mean that they cannot turn to oppression. But we don’t have to conjure fake genocides or whatever to attribute to them so that we can try to prove a point. We don’t have to make up slavic colonialism and fake genocides to ‘equal’ the scorecard. Mankind is capable of barbarism. This very article is about reverse racism by blacks to whites.
@Brutus: “After 2 thousands years in exile, the Jews proudly returned to their ancestral land in Israel.”
A magnificent achievement but hardly all of “the Jews” returned from “exile”: 7 Million Jews in Israel + West Bank are outnumbered by 15 Million Jews (60%) who live “in exile” in the wealthier places of the world: U$A 12 Million, France & Canada 1.4 Million, Russia 0.6M, UK 0.4M, Argentina 0.35M, Germany 0.3Million.
Contrast the Afrikaners: 2.75Million (90%) still live in their ancestral land, South Africa; only 10% of Afrikaners live in exile, mainly in other parts of Africa. That’s why they call themselves Afrikaners. The free Afrikaaner Republics of Transvaal and Orange Free State made South Africa wealthy; the Anglo Zionazi Capitalists arrived only to plunder what Afrikaaners built. The run on the Rand and the end of the Afrikaner regime was to prevent Afrikaner bankers from supplanting AZC bankers in South Africa. Afrikaner bankers and Afrikaner industrialists would never have drained Capital out of the country the way Anglo Zio’s did from the beginning of the British invasion, and are doing to this day via Bantu puppet regime.
The Dutch Reformed Church was well on the way to ending Apart-Hate as official policy when the AZC struck back by glorifying Mandela (guest at Buckingham Palace) and making a run on the Rand to re-instate Anglo American Banker control over South Africa. That’s the real reason behind racial troubles in South Africa — same reason as current racial troubles in AZC banker-colonized EU$A.
You obviously don’t know that the Bantus came from up north and slaughtered the local blacks because the whites could feed them.
BTW, the Jews were never in Egypt. The Exodus never happened. Palestine was an arid desert at that time – not a land of milk and honey. Also, the Zionists are Ashekenazis who come from north of the Caspian sea – Khazaria. The real Jews were in Yemen and that was the land of milk and honey.
The land milk and honey is Tamil Country in the southern part of continental India. The land where the world’s first language, Tamil, was spoken. The land of first nation and civilization on earth which still survives. There are two rivers mentioned in millennium old literatures, in Tamil “Then’Aaru – River of Honey” & “Pal’Aaru – River of Milk”. While the farmer is now dead, the latter still flows.
Mitochondrial eve throws your theory right out. She was found to be from east Africa. For the religious Christian, Eden was between rivers Euphrates and Tigris which are on the middle east. When Adam and Eve were driven from Eden, they settled in East Africa as we can see that when cain was excommunicated from them he moved to live on the east of Eden which would be Asia/India. So, science agrees with scriptures. Just like science is beginning to catch up with the idea that the insides of the earth are water and not fire except small pockets of volcanic activity. But all that genealogy is helpful how, excepting confirming the oneness of the human race? This issue we are talking about is so old it started with the first family, with Cain killing Abel and the story continues to this day.
To answer your question. Greenland is your future. The ice is melting and the gold rush is on. Be quite and don’t spreed the word. You know, globlal warm will take revenge. Greenland will become green. Isn’t it ironic, never could reconcile that name. Now it all makes sense. Greenland turns green and South Africa gets browner. Flare some gas, burn some plastic and buy a oneway ticket to Greenland.
Marcus, when the Vikings first arrived in “greenland” it really was……………. green, as in not covered in ice. In the stratta below the ice and snow of today, where real history lives, one finds in Greenland the remains of green vegitaive plants and trees meaning at one point it was not covered in ice…………….but don’t tell anyone, it’s a funny in-house archeological joke.
Cheers, M
Greenland was green as the Vikings first went there. That is why it has that name. They settled as vikings in mainly two locations and farmed there for several hundred years with cattle. Then they disappeared within a generation. But Greenland was indeed green!
The implications for man made climate change are obvious, but completely overlooked by the Marxist climate hysterics.
What they could not get with climate scare they now get with Covid scare. Weird world!!!
Only a Trump win give us some hope.
So I’m thinking……….I do that some times. As the Vikings were living in Greenland, it’s possible that atmospheric changes (climate change) caused by volcanic eruptions that heralded in the ‘dark ages’ would have caused enough blocking of sunlight to cause a mini ice age in that region. Might explain their desire to move within a few generations………..they did settle in Newfoundland for some time and in latter years many (of Icelandic hereditary) settled in Manitoba. Perhaps the Newfie crew made it halfway across the continient (likely sailed down through Hudson Bay) and sussed the place out.
Cheers, M
“The State/Ruling Class as predator and citizens as prey”
Perhaps a limited perception given that “citizens” also act as shields of their “own” predators ?
This is sometimes designated as “representative democracy”, illustrating that Mr. Franklin was not the only one joking/drunk when draughting/quafting “articles of association”.
The instruments of power: intelligence and analysis, armies, currencies, finance, industry, mass media, commerce and religion are in the hands of the former colonizers. The political class in charge in South Africa currently has no plans, and probably neither the organization nor the analytical capacity to break the impasse in their country. In addition, they are immensely arrogant and corrupt, which is a reflection of their incompetence. To be harassed for two centuries by the excessive rigors of the English is a few things. Not easy to get up again.
Being the leading economic and cultural power before it was taken over by the West, it took China from 1949 to 2020 to rebuild itself after a century of Western domination.
Africa’s current political class is simply unable to cope with the challenges it faces. Look at what is currently happening in France, Italy, Germany, countries that have, or could quickly regain the levers of power necessary for their independence. And what are they doing? They continue their fall into an increasingly deleterious submission.
The solution does not lie in the color of the skin of the political class, but in the values it defends. Looking at the actions of one another according to their skin color or religion is the ultimate trap set for us by the ruling class.
Look. Was born and l live in Slavic country, did not have many experiences with Blacks….I truly do not have many reasons to be racist, and I do not have one single reason to feel “collective guilt” towards Blacks. My own ancestors were victims of Turkish and Austrian colonial violence.
But…from what I read it is almost impossible for persons of European descent to continue living in a today South Africa. Details of crimes that I read about in, I think reliable sources, are horrible: killings, almost unbelievable acts of sexual violence (for some reason relatively little children are often targeted), arson….
Race may not be scientific term; but from point of self identification of group it exists, it is alive and well. We are generally able to precisely categorize a person according to race in an instant. And I always wondered why Whites in USA move out when Blacks inhabit their neighbourhood in large numbers. Are they all racist? Maybe Americans can tell me that. I believe way of life, most of us want for ourselves and our children, becomes too disrupted.
In a nutshell and semi-seriously: SA farmers should move to Crimea!
Trump should invite Afrikaaners to come and farm in the USA. He should give unhappy BLMs a ticket to south Africa. This way all win and eternal happiness will be assured!
Not??
I’m not liking this as a whole.. It was my misfortune to meet a group of wealthy (white) South African merchants on business in the 1980s. These despicable racists turned my stomach with their talk and innuendos and posturing and sneering. And I am an old school kid from Texas. Has colored my views ever since and especially that I may have been invited that I might share their ugly views. Gag response. Those people needed taking down.. ugly people. Sorry for the turmoil and more there since and that the beautiful South Africa can’t find it’s feet.
Thanks for the wonderful plant photo and info.
Yes, you are very right. That was a particularly nasty type. But let me put some perspective to it.
We had just come out of the 1976 Soweto Riots and we knew internally that these were USSR ‘sponsored’ if you like. South Africa was in a low-level proxy war .. US or rather England, vs USSR. There were continual uprisings here and there, violence, and the ‘Eugene Terreblance’ type of white South African was simply unbelievable in their racism. They also had made contact with the White Supremacists in the US, and I think the ones that you met, certainly were sponsored in some way, because we were under extreme sanctions, and the amount of money that we could take out of the country for international travel was very small – rich industrialist or not. We also could not get visas, so, it was a sponsored group that you met and almost certainly sponsored by white supremacists, and certainly not a true representation. It is unfortunate.
I also visited the US even later than that, and got invited to a South African barbecue – in Florida – I’ll never forget this. I got there and it was purely that kind of South African, with a bunch of US white supremacists. Looked around me, bought a little South African food and literally hotfooted it out of there, as there was no way that I was going to allow anything or anybody to say I associated in those circles. These people were an embarrasment.
Inside of South Africa, there was already a movement that we needed to change, and change fast. It was a question of how. Here is a piece by a US ambassador about those times. The last paragraph states :
There was indeed a danger of a very bloody revolution in South Africa, but at the same time we saw that the combination of the young Afrikaners looking for solutions and the moderate blacks who were not seeking vengeance might still provide an opportunity for a peaceful way out. Even then we could see that as a possibility, so contrary to the general outside impression, it did not seem to us at the embassy that it was a hopeless case, bound for major bloodshed.
https://adst.org/2015/05/the-1976-soweto-uprising/
So, that was the grouping that I functioned in .. the young Afrikaners looking for solutions. (Bear in mind that we were under severe surveillance by the South African secret security .. BOSS they were called) and during those times people like me were followed, phones bugged, houses raided in the middle of the night for ‘subversive literature’ and worse experiences. Under the still effective law, we were ‘traitors’ to our nation. As the knowledge that we had to change had not yet perculated through to white society, there were many whites with mouths just too big saying extreme things. We were truly fighting our own countrymen, while fighting the USSR as an erstwhile US proxy and I guess, fully compliant. Our fears first – The Red Danger, and after that The Black Danger.
In the mean time, the white apartheid government was already looking for solutions as this diplomat explains. We had to change – there was no question about it. The only question was how. This whole process culminated eventually in a referendum early in 1992 and this was the first time most South Africans became aware publically, outside of whispered conversations in our own circles. The apartheid regime, although kind to the whites and not too bad to the rest given that the rest were not enfranchised, was completely non-transparent and most of us did not know what was happening in the country. (People laugh at me when I say that, but that is true. Everything was controlled, media, all information .. many just did not know and there was a hell of a learning curve for most white South Africans. But they voted for change in the referendum. Later did I realize we were living under a form of dictatorship.)
The South Africans voted overwhelmingly for change, but in reality, the negotiations for another governmental structure, a non-apartheid stucture, a type of shared government were well advanced. I boycotted this referendum because it was whites only. So, the negotiations continued, and there were safeguards for what would be minority groups, after the 1994 freedom election. This process was completely hijacked and both the whites, as well as the Zulus walked out of there without minority protection. (This is a different story and the usual from who was bought off, who took the money, who sold us out, and so on – ugly).
Then we had the Freedom Election and Truth and Reconciliation. This was never real .. not even Nelson Mandela’s Truth and Reconciliation and Rainbow Nation was real. Another ‘force’ took charge already and apartheid and racism was again instituted in Law, despite a new constitution, only now it was accompanied by extreme violence toward the white population – a level of violence that did not exist under the apartheid government and they were bad. The USSR had fallen, so, the force you can guess at.
Just a little time ago, the current president declared that ‘Reconciliation is now over’.
So this is a nutshell simply to try and explain the type of person that you met. Also bear in mind that this is largely my experience, these are still hot issues especially now for many South Africans, and not everyone will agree with me. I also took large leaps here and there is much detail just glossed over.
I came here 35 years ago, and I have never met friendlier people. Just saying.
I have learnt one thing, though, fanatics should be met with caution. Whether that is religious, political or whatever. In daily life 99.9 % get on fine here. When politicians mix in, things tend to go from good to bad.
Injustice is very wrong isn’t it? Yet it never ceases to amaze me, how quickly we support and excuse the injustices done by “our kind” and how quickly we shout for justice and fairness when “our kind” is on the receiving end of injustice. That is the root cause of all our issues. Period. If we only agreed to do to others what we would have them do to us, we could live in peace. Don’t tell me I am an idealist because the Jews surely do practise it among themselves but sadly not to the ‘other’. We are only reaping what we have and continue to sow. Now, the black south Africans are laying the seeds for next cycle of retaliation and misery. The white south Africans lay the seeds of what they are experiencing sometime back with their apartheid. How is it that we condone and even in certain circumstances cheer the injustices to the ‘other’ and do nothing to fix it when in a position to do so(power), but expect justice and fairness by the other to us when we become the underdogs? The evidence of this hypocrisy is evident everywhere. Just recently, freedom of speech nonsense being used to insult Islam and Mohammed and being vehemently supported, but try to say anything about Jews and/or Holocaust, you are breaking the law. Why can’t we all just lay off people’s beliefs and Faiths? What’s someone else’s faith got to do with you? And if you are an atheist, what’s that got to do with those who believe in their god? But we can’t leave it at that, somebody somewhere has got to push their beliefs on others.
We have accepted to separate the human race into different groups and claimed superiority and chosenness from the ‘other’ and used that to justify injustices and oppression and subjugation and some such. Then we have proceeded to support and exonerate our group from all wrong doing. What did we really expect as the outcome? Is not what we are seeing the logical progression and blowback for our actions, which ever group we maybe, for our actions and injustices done to the ‘other’?
We either agree to play fair with one another or stop being surprised at the only outcome to our actions. Humans are such hypocrites. Einstein once said he only knew of 2 things that were infinite, the universe and human stupidity and he wasn’t entirely sure about the universe. I say that he should have instead said that of stupidity and hypocrisy and did away with the part of not being entirely sure about one. Either we break the cycle of injustice by equal rights and justice with a just and fair and implemented system that is enforced or we stop the complaining and let might continue to make right. I see no difference of whites did and are doing to some black communities and what black south Africans are doing to their whites communities. None zero zilch nada. Let’s condemn injustices and wrongs equally or accept the outcome we have.
“I see no difference of whites did and are doing to some black communities and what black south Africans are doing to their whites communities. None zero zilch nada. Let’s condemn injustices and wrongs equally or accept the outcome we have.”
That is absolutely not true and very simplistic. Like I said in the writing, there was never a wholesale killing of black, neither was there the violence and torture that is happening now. People were unenfranchised, evils happened, but if you truly look at the white community now, they are being brutally tortured.
Take a look at the first part of this, where many of the supporting material has now disappeared. /south-africa-the-real-current-event-vs-rolling-over-of-the-president-a-3-parts-analysis/
Farmworkers or any other black person was not brutally tortured to death by pouring boiling oil over them and into their orifices, assaulting and raping them with sticks of farming implements into any orifice, tying them up, kicking them half to death and coming back tomorrow to complete some torture sometimes across one whole family – being terrorised for days.
There was state sponsored violence – limited – like with political dissidents. People were terrorised and terrified, with raids into black townships and arrests and detention without trial. They needed passes to go from place to place and their movement was curtailed. Yet, some of the biggest black millionaires were born from this period because they had the only businesses serving the black community.
Please understand, silly relative arguments here willl not work. Understand the farm murders today are worse than the worst of out of control war violence. We had Truth and Reconciliation, that was supposed to take care of this violence.
I grew up on farms. We did not torture any workers and nobody around us did that. Neither did we kill them.
An effective farm worker is an asset and good employees are treated like good employees.
Take a look at this from Vesti News, now a little older.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODMlRga0ESE&feature=emb_err_woyt
Let’s not sanitize or even defend apartheid. It’s so unfortunate to hear anyone insinuating that it was better. Apartheid was a serious crime against mostly the black humanity. To compare the treatment of brown people by an apartheid government to random crimes against farmers is disingenuous. What is the writers agenda? The ANC in all its shortcomings remains pro white more than black.
Again this agurment that blacks cannot farm or they will starve without the white farmer citing the case of Zim under that thug Mugabe is nothing but a myth. History teaches us how the blackman ended up being a white man’s labourer. Such arguments don’t add value in seeking solutions but just incense in order to push certain narratives. While any murder is unfortunate, 49 farm murders out 21000
total murders should not warrant marching to the streets armed especially in Senekal where the suspects had been apprehended. There are laws in the land which your kind wrote. I honestly do sympathize but when facts get altered to push a certain narrative, we risk throwing the baby out with the bath water.
Here is a link which might interest. Having trouble attaching more.

It people like you Writer that exacerbate the problem. You do exactly what I have just described without batting an eye lid. You justify apartheid by minimizing its injustice and complain about current injustice. An eye for eye I say, since we have refused to be fair. Let us destroy one another just like it is prophesied in many religions and by many scientists. I have no sympathy for hypocrisy. Don’t complain. Let blacks kill whites and whites kill blacks and yellow kill whites and whomever can oppress. Stop complaining. You endorse it, then live in it.
Crime affects all in SA. And that is mostly the legacy of apartheid. I think the farm murder stories whilst real and sad are being blown out of proportion by those with an agenda or just those who yearn for the good old days when they alone were the law. Farm murders are just a small percentage of total murders happening in the country. Most of which affects the black populace. Nothing racial there.
In any case one might say going to a protest armed was tempting the resolve of the state. Thankfully the security forces acted with restraint if not preferencial treatment if that is to be compared to their response in other protests where brown people march. Senekal revealed deep problems in SA society which none have been willing to address. Farm workers are generally mistreated on the farms leading to resentment. They also suffer for the sins of the black faced national party in the colours of the ANC. To say the State promotes the killing of white people is to stretch the truth and serves no purpose but to irritate the black populace that feel undone by the politics of the ruling party.
That doesn’t excuse the inability and shortcomings of the compromised ANC leadership to deal with the burning issues affecting SA.
Let’s look at the farm murders. Let me put it in another context. If you have 40,000 pizza shops run by good Italian pizza makers in your area, and they start getting killed and attacked, how many will be too many, and how many will be just enough?
We’re talking about a subculture here, a slice of community.
There are approximately 40,000 farms in South Africa according to government statistics. http://www.statssa.gov.za/?p=13144
Let’s now look at farm murders and attacks of just a few months.
– 1 June 2020 – Community medical doctor Roelof Botha (59) stabbed to death with sheep shears by a group of attackers in a nature reserve in Tulbach , Western Cape. Botha stayed on a farm in the area.
– 2 June 2020 – Tinus Pretorius (37) shot 4 times and left in a critical condition in his Klerksdorp shop.
– 4 June 2020 – Kobie Smit (60) and his wife Annie Smit (58) were seriously injured when a black man attacked them with a panga on Thursday at around 1800 in the neighbourhood Panorama, Bethlehem, Free State province. Kobie was outside in his yard when the man chopped him with the panga, walked past him and also chopped Annie inside the house with the panga. The man fled without taking anything and the couple’s neighbour discovered them and rushed them to hospital.
– 4 June 2020 – In a second incident in Bethlehem on the same day, a black man broke a window of a house where a 60 year old woman and her daughter were watching TV at around 2115. The man stabbed the older woman in the neck, grabbed a laptop and fled with it through the same window . She survived the incident.
– The previous week a 86 year old woman were attacked and raped, also in Bethlehem town. She heard a window break and was surprised by a black male attacker who detained her with a knife, cut her clothes off with it and then raped her. He stole money and groceries before fleeing.
– 5 June 2020 – Pieter Nel (65) was left in critical condition after he was shot twice on his farm in Hartbeespoort on Friday, 5 June. His wife Ann was seriously assaulted.
– 6 June 2020 – An elderly white couple, Schalk (63) and Lana Coetzee (59), was also severely assaulted on a farm outside Reivilo, Northern Cape on Saturday 6 June, 2020. The man was left in critical condition. His attackers, black men, poured boiling water on his back. Both had to undergo surgery afterwards. An image of a bloodied Lana Coetzee was sent into the world .
– 9 Jun 2020 – Mike Sebanz (52) shot in the stomach by armed robbers and he later died in the Tembisa hospital. He and another staff member were guarding the Kempton Park golf club during the night. They worked in the bar.
– 11 June 2020 – A top medical specialist had his skull cracked by crowbar wielding home invaders in Somerset West around midnight.
– Many more less serious farm attacks happened during this time where white residents were nevertheless assaulted for instance at Nelspruit, Barberton, Cradock and Vanwyksvlei.
During May 2020 there were 15 farm attacks and 4 farm murders.
During April 2020 there were 17 farm attacks and one farm murder.
During March 2020 there were 35 farm attacks and 6 farm murders.
During Feb 2020 there were 31 farm attacks and 8 farm murders.
All these incidents came amidst the longest and hardest CCP- virus lockdown in the world implemented in South Africa at the end of March.
Now look at the extreme brutality and this is just what one could stomach … it is not really showing what happens during these attacks. http://www.radiofreesouthafrica.com/farm-attacks-and-farm-murders-in-south-africa/
So, how many more before you see that this is not blown out of proportion? If these were the statistics of your pizza shop Italian owners, would you think it is normal?
The rest of the crime rate is incredibly high and not acceptable.
It has been said already that crime is bad. In stating your case, are you saying a government of both black and white should selectively prioritize white lives because they are a minority? How exactly do you think government should do that considering that they have inherited problems which they need to overcome.
Care to reflect on how so few later day immigrants ended up owning the entire country? Let us be careful of not opening wounds which have never healed by chosing to deal with issues in good faith.
Part of the problem stems from the fact that the leaders are compromised by the usual suspects and never ever serve the interests of their people. While Afrikaners did a lot of examplary things for themselves, they committed great injustices against the black population. Its some of those injustices that are haunting farmers today.
Farmers are in a position of privilege and can even organise their own security since they have the means to, unlike countless millions in black townships. Let the stats speak for themselves. It’s not easy to deal with the die hard apartheid fanatics who long for the good old days when they could do as they pleased with power against the black population which they have nothing good to say about.
As A ZAfrikan, I think this writer misguided because it is playing into the whole divide-and-rule mentality. The same mindset that believes that having Trump or Biden willmean the American Military Industrial Complex will stop bombing the heck out of whoever it wants. These issues might kill us, but they are still a distraction; Statism is the enemy, not other viewpoints
Dear South African Author
I hear your cry, your frustration and your pain. Sadly, I have no way of remedying any of those things.
Maybe the problem you describe is above your Government?
Is it possible that the burning of real estate you describe in the US at BLM protests is evidence that the same people are behind your burning?
I think so.
It is very possible that the global cabal behind this Great Reset has their eyes on ALL productive land throughout the world and they are presently eager and at work forcing farming families off the land.
I am not in a farming community here in Australia but it seems OBVIOUS that our Government is making subsistence on Aussie farms impossible too.
Through taxes and selling water rights to foreign conglomerates they are strangling our farming communities in what is already a very dry land.
I think what you are describing is a global trend and the hidden hand is big money, big business and the ultimate take over.
The problem is it’s impossible to war against you enemy until you can identify who it is.
We are in a slow motion takeover invaded by an invisible enemy hiding behind our own representatives and it doesn’t matter who you vote for anymore, you get the same policies.
Yes, I would agree with this taking a look at the US now, Aussie and South Africa, certain countries in South America. It truly is disaster capitalism functioning around the clock.
The mightiest troopers are sustained by God and when their back is broken He gives them a new one in Heaven, the true homeland of good people.
Armenians supposedly descend from Anatolian invaders who colonized the Urartians, but who would go back to Anatolia now? Could the steppes fit all the Turks? Ethnic cleansing would be a lot more ethical if it was done with generous offers alone — a free house in the UK for all anglo-saxons who move back, lifelong payments for Palestinians who move to Jordan, free stuff for Ashkenazis who go back to Europe, free land in Canaan for Lebs who insist they were there first…
@Publicity is gay
You are much more moral and balanced. If we have to do things to others for whatever reason, then a fair compensation is warranted. But all we seem to want is to plunder the other and follow it with dehumanization and demonization of our victims by invoking our chosenness and exceptionalism and their barbarism as the justification for our actions. It’s thoroughly sickening. That’s why I like Russia and China at the moment for their mostly fair actions.
Sorry for the many posts, but I am thoroughly disgusted with humans and our hypocrisy at the moment.
What a racist rant. The anc are not Marxist, they are a tripartite alliance, with the anc a very grand middle class capitalist organisation that has bent bent over backwards, to the detriment of the working class and poor, to accommodate the likes of this writer. The other two partners of the alliance are the South African Communist Peru, a toothless dog that can be described as pretend or faux Marxist, but entirely without agency. and the Congress of South African Trade Unions, now thoroughly compromised by international neoliberal capitalism. Then, the Boers are guilty of genocide. Read Mahmoud Memdani’s “The Anatomy of a South African Genocide” for a stomach churning read. More recently the UN itself has chronicled the genocide conducted by the apartheid South African Defense Force in the southern African region, and the legacy of land dispossession that leaves one in four South Africans hungry in a land in which over 90% of the economy, and around 70% of land remains in white hands. Finally, statistics don’t support these white denialists such as Afriforum’s contention of a genocide against whites or white farmers, fewer that 00.5 of our grisly murder rate is conducted against white farmers. The statistics are easily available, look them up. But statistics can’t be allowed to get in the way of a continuing unjust claim to the country, the agenda at play here.
So, we get the ‘racist’ word again, just because someone speaks about what is happening in the country. This is old – you don’t attend to the issues raised here, but you call racist and genocide, because you have to absolutely bury these issues. Nobody may speak on them.
Then we get ‘unjust claims’ and around 70% of land remains in white hands which of course, is false. This includes land owned by mines, by conglomerates, by anyone, including governmental land. This is so obscure that private companies and groups now are doing continual census and that every land transaction since the 1600’s is slowly being researched. Tell me, who owns the large previous homelands?
Please show me of the current crop of leaders, who do not own a farm? Who stole the cattle in a theft ring led by the head of the police in this issue? Is stealing by the members of a ‘tripartite alliance’ just fine? Is the wholesale theft and graft of the previous President and the current government members OK? Do you understand that this graft is taking resources from every person in South Africa, you included? Do you defend it?
And then what do you think of the little statistic that after -27 years of this wonderful centrist leadership, only 24% of the country is working in jobs. That calculates to 14 million, to support 60 million. Do you understand that this is not a ‘white’ issue, neither is it a ‘racist’ issue and it is not a historical issue either? How do you think this leadership can continue on under these circumstances?
Have you ever looked at the various censusses done historically and can you explain to me who in South Africa are actually South Africans? By the looks of things the history of Mr Firebrand Malema is also now being opened and the gossip just does not look good for him because his history is slowly being uncovered. Is he a South African?
And then, what do you think of the murder of a young farmer that I described here, and the burning down of farms subsequently? What do you think of the open call to burn that went out from someone that we all know, in public?
Can you explain to me why acceptance of a loan from the IMF is not neo-liberal capitalism? So, who are the neo-liberal capitalists that pretend to be something else?
See, this is a hopeless case, because you refuse to discuss the issues raised here and you call genocide and racism as a knee-jerk but you will not speak to the issues of the people.
The Cape’s San people were decimated. It is a shame on everyone that did that. But do you actually understand the cultural norms of the day? Or are you visiting the sins of the fathers on the children? Can you understand that these people were considered not fully human? And like animals open for hunting? Yes, today we know it was abhorrent. Can you compare in other places where this happened, the US with their indigenous population where this was the cultural belief of the day? Today people know better and I trust you support these people in their work to regain their humanity and their culture. I support them. Do you? Have they been given land and support to re-establish themselves? We both know the answer to that.
The word ‘genocide’ – It is a legal word. This publication that you reference is being attacked by all scholars in the field because of using the wrong definitions. You use it here without knowing the issues, and simply shout ‘genocide’.
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/287530638_The_anatomy_of_a_South_African_genocide_The_extermination_of_the_Cape_San_Peoples
When one discusses these issues, the words racism and genocide are the first to surface. Are they actually true? Or is it the soup de jour, the flavor of the day to defend the indefensible and that would be the government of the day.
The Writer
The points you are trying to bring across in the article are heavily blemished by filters emanating from your conditioning . Filters are tools tools for bending/molding phenomena in certain ways. In-fact our perception of manifested form or reality, is dictated filters in the human psychology. In practical terms, we use filters in fields like electronics & mathematics (calculus) Ignorant deployment of filters can bring about terrible results
The Writer deploys the black/white filter (binary or duality) , in a heavily biased environment of group conditioning (brainwashing), which in turn converts a useful tool into an object of disinformation .Binary implies the mutual arising of, two yet in one ,exclusive entities (bipolar) .
Black cannot exist without white, nor can there be good without bad, nor can the be thing without no-thing. Any attempt to bring valuation into duality/binary an exercise in futility (ignorance).
I urge the writer to learn the technique of putting some space between oneself & their conditioning when analyzing instances of human experiencing. This means dropping the notion of black/white & concentrating on the serious talk about human suffering which this article could expose. Suffering is common to all mankind & it’s reduction is a common wish of the masses.
Although done in a meme form and it is obviously cheap production, I’ve checked some of these statistics quoted in here. I cannot so far find anything that is wrong. Looks like Mr Malema and Mr Ramaphosa agree that many black Africans came from more Northern parts in Africa. There are some dates quoted in the video for arrival of various people. The video opens with Mr Malema’s comments after the court case in Senekal. Then he gets interviewed. And then it goes over to presenting just a bunch of short statistics. In here they also refer to Mr Malema being western intelligence as some of the comments state.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU_nVHzQ_BU&feature=emb_logo
Overall it looks like quite a tense time after the Senekal murder and the burning of farms. In that video is an interesting comparison of BLM logo.
@amarynth
Surely you would not take as truth claims in a video from a people with an agenda. Even the biased Wikipedia does a far much better job of explaining the African phenomenon. Just search ” History of African tribes ” or better still ” Bantu expansion”, “African haplotypes” “pygmy haplotypes” etc. The information contained in there is more closer to historical truth than the tripe here. If you want more information, search better historical sites about Africa that go into greater detail. You will find information of migration and assimilation or displacement a plenty and inter marrying among Africans. Africa was sparsely populated before farming. Irrefutable fact.
Everyone has an agenda. What if the agenda is to disseminate and spread some statistics that are not wrong? Mine was to take a look at the modern population numbers when I came across the speech and subsequent interview and a set of statistics that I could not prove wrong, even if not very professionally presented.
@amarynth
I understand now. You trashed my response to you about even Wikipedia being more factual than that Malema video. There is nothing factual about that video except you saying so. But like you said everyone has an agenda. I now know some of yours and sure ain’t for truth. Some of us are for truth no matter how unpalatable. You trash this one too, since I now know. Push your agenda and censor me when I disagree with you. Like I said human hypocrisy knows no bounds. Now, I know to filter your comments through the right prism.
I did nothing of the kind, but you are not making sense. You are not discussing any points The Writer presented but seemingly your agenda is to talk a lot but to say a little
Sorry, not interested as I have too much work to do. First, you attacked The Writer, now you want to attack me? Geez, no wonder your stuff disappears into trash and that is not me buddy. I’m just disgusted with what I see happening with these people.
Here is a book recommendation for you. People’s War: New Light on the Struggle for South Africa – Anthea Jeffery
and here is an interview with the author. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9q1Ub7rWWc
Consider some real history.
.
The idea spread in here that the colonialists ‘genocided’ the Khoi people must be looked at in the view of the current Khoi people. We find that they just 2 years ago treatied for secession. One needs to listen carefully to the Khoi King and in that community you will find equal oppression to these people. The King here describes very carefully who was there, and who not.
“The white South African people approached the Khoi King with a plan for secession and it was discussed over a five hour long meeting. The plan was agreed to and a verbal agreement was put in place. The plan was simple, that the Khoisan king secede with the backing of the Afrikaner (a.k.a Boers), Eurokaner (white European descendants) and Coloureds. For this backing, these four nations would equally power share in a new government under a sovereign parliament federal government system as laid out in the brief that was received by all parties and media. And thus a relationship was born and a new hope was given to the four nations to unite under a new country.”
This is a must watch video and it took me a while to find it. They, the Khoi people, consider what has happened as cultural genocide and ‘not recognized as people’. He also describes that similar is happening to the Whites. There obviously is a better trust between these people and the white minority, that they would happily treaty for the same homeland. This is very current.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=er1wHjcTol8&feature=emb_logo
There are literally dozens of different organizations all wanting the same thing for the Cape, secession from South Africa.
The most prominent of these is the Cape Party, which wants the old Cape Colony back again, like it was back in the 1850’s when all had the vote, and not what happened in 1948 when Apartheid removed the vote for all in the Cape and brought in massive restrictions on land ownership for people of colour.
https://www.capeparty.com/
https://www.capeparty.com/the-history-of-the-cape/
Unfortunately the different organizations, and more formed each day, all seem to be at odds with each other all the time. This may or may not have to do with the ANC’s campaign against the original Africans, the Hottentot Khoisan Coloureds. Definitely the Hottentot Khoisan Coloureds are the outright majority in the Western Cape, yet BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) legislation stipulates that 80% plus of the jobs in the Western Cape have to be given to Black people, who also enjoy preferential treatment when it comes to housing.
But the ANC Government is only following the dictates of its overseas masters who want everything mixed up and messed up, as is happening in the States and Europe. Yet the Kalergi Plan still stands more chance of succeeding in the States and Europe than it does in South Africa :-)
